Chapter Two: You're Not Forgotten
Adrien was playing his own game of broken hearts. Because of Cat Noir, he was late meeting up with Kagami. And let's just say Kagami wasn't there. So, he shot her a text.
A: Hey! Still wanna go for dinner? Sorry I'm late- I had a last minute something.
K: No. You are constantly late, and that is unacceptable.
A: But I said I was sorry. Sometimes things come up.
K: Not just sometimes, Adrien. All times.
A: Kagami, please listen.
K: …
K: We're done. I'm sorry, Adrien.
Adrien stared at his phone. We're done. We're done. When realization struck, he dropped his phone. Everything seemed to move in slow motion. Rain started to trickle down, and Adrien dropped down on his knees, sobbing.
"Adrikins!" Chloe's voice said, piercing the air. She ran over to the boy, and pulled him up. "Stand up, you're stronger than that. Come on, you're an Agreste, tell me what's wrong?"
"Kagami- she- she- she broke up with me over the phone," Adrien sobbed. Chloe pulled the sobbing boy into an embrace. "No one loves me."
"I do, Adrien," Chloe whispered. "You are not forgotten."
AN: Okay, so for a Ninonette story, why don't I add another not-really-popular ship for Adrien. These chapters are short, but they are clear, that is the point. Short and sweet. Someone asked, "And Chloe?" Well, yes. I have to do a unpopular ship with an unpopular ship. But, once I started writing this, I fell in love with it. Now, I hate Chloe with a passion, but I can see her being really sweet to Adrien in a very hard time.
