Chapter 1:
Ranma was barely awake when she landed in some grass near a stream. She was seeing a bunch of other strange creatures watching over her. They were making some funny noises and she was just so tired. She tried to do a trick she had recently learned which involved absorbing ambient chi and converting it to ki to try and get her energy back up. But unfortunately there were things she didn't realize. The main one being that this was not earth or her home dimension. The ambient chi of this world was easily 300 times more abundant and at least 20 times stronger than the chi of earth. So she got the energy she was looking for, but she also got agony cause she absorbed so much that it seemed to her like she was about to explode.
As she was basically catatonic it allowed for her various survival instincts to kick in, causing the neko-ken to unlock and try semi unsuccessfully to regulate the power now flowing through her. The jusenkyo curse having its own sort of survival instinct caused even weirder things to happen. You see Jusenkyo curses were put in place by a being that wished to help people, but it was unfortunately bound to the nature of its existence which required it to cause suffering in those it interacted with. That will got channeled into the curses it created, making them a mixed blessing.
The curse tried to use its transformative powers to help its victims by trying to improve their life or show them something about themselves that they needed to fix. Above all else it didn't enjoy its victims dying and there was only one way it could save Ranma as she currently was. It latched onto the neko-ken power residing with her, her very diluted yokai blood from her mother's side of the family, and the remnant of the age changing mushroom's power within.
It reduced her age to the point where her body would be capable of handling the rigors of the change better. So now there was a 4-year old lying on the ground, and the amount of energy in her begged for release even more, causing her to finally pass out. It used its transformative powers to latch onto her demon blood and augmented her blood with the neko-ken power, causing her shut eyes to turn cat-like, ears to become pointed, retractable/transformable claws to form on her hands, hair to turn dark in the middle but remained red on the ends, canines to elongate into fangs, and sort of purplish scratch mark looking things to form on her cheeks.
With that done her power quickly adapted to her new physiology, and once it was done she gradually aged back up to thirteen again, which was the size her clothes were fitted for. And the curse "realized" that with what it just did it had basically burned out all of its energy which it could no longer replenish because it was now disconnected from Jusenkyo Valley. So it did the next best thing. It combined itself with the remnant power of the age-changing mushrooms, Ranma's newly awakened yokai physiology, the energy of some of her other curses, and her ki. All the different energies fused together and became the new high-powered life-force of the young cat yokai.
She remained lying by the stream, the sweat cooling on her new body. Even unconscious though she radiated power like an apex predator, keeping all the creatures of the forest far away from her, and the problem with apex predators was that if you dropped them in a system without any natural enemies than they would flourish to a ridiculous degree. There is also the fact that she had essentially connected herself to the fabric of this universe and been changed in the process, alerting all who were similarly connected that she had arrived.
Unfortunately her arrival and connection had caused something else to happen. You see she was something called a chaos nexus, meaning that she had something at the core of her being that generally said something to the effect of, "screw you," to destiny. As a result time based things tended to malfunction around her. In fact part of the reason this predicament had happened in the first place was a time being in her home dimension didn't want her to stick around so she could better control the future, but let's not get into that. She had ended up in a galaxy at war, and the one behind the war was very proud of his ability to see the future and plan accordingly. So on top of her absorbing power stunt that she pulled, she had effectively dropped a continuous nuke into the time stream making it so that neither he nor his enemies were able to see the future, and this angered him.
Sheev Palpatine almost physically recoiled when he felt the intruder in what he viewed as his galaxy, and he noticed the looks his senators were giving him. Defcon 1, damage control mode has been activated.
Padme Amidala gave him a look of concern, "Is everything all right, Chancellor?
Sheev nodded somewhat vapidly, "Everything is fine, my dear. I just seem to be a little weak or something right now. Maybe I will be fine if we continue this a little later so I can eat something and regain a little of my strength."
The senators all nodded, and he heard Bail Organa say to Padme on their way out the door, "This war has been hard on everyone. It can't be easy being in the hot seat like he is."
He saw her nod as the door closed behind them and all the other senators that had been meeting with him. He scowled once they were out of the room. He tried to gain a glimpse of the future to see what this disturbance he felt meant, but instead all he got was an extreme headache and a couple blurry garbled images that made absolutely no sense to him at all. He flipped up his hood and immediately sent out a secure communication to his apprentice. He wasn't long in getting a reply.
A man in exquisite finery and a cape appeared in the blue holo-transmission on Chancellor Palpatine's desk, "I felt it too, my master."
Palpatine officially in his true state as Darth Sidious growled out, "Find that thing, Lord Tyranus, and kill it immediately. It must not be allowed to live or all our plans will be meaningless."
Tyranus, known to the greater galaxy as Count Dooku, bowed to Sidious, "As you command, my master."
Sidious cut the holo-transmission and then glared into the galaxy beyond, "I will not allow a freak of nature to interrupt all my carefully laid plans."
The Jedi council was in session when they too were hit with the feeling of disturbance in the Force. Many of them could only gape in astonishment and wonder what the heck that even was. Yoda, Grandmaster of the Jedi Order, turned to Obi-wan Kenobi's hologram, he was the newest member of the council, "Felt it, we did. Closest to it you are, Master Kenobi. You and your former padawan and his padawan, investigate it you must."
Obi-wan Kenobi stroked his beard, "Are you sure that is wise, Master Yoda. For all we know it could be something dangerous, or some new ploy by the Sith."
Yoda shook his head, "Feel it, I did. A creature in need of help, it is. Help it we will."
Mace Windu stared hard at Yoda, "I think I must agree with Master Kenobi. At least do not bring the Padawan with you when you go to confront it."
Kenobi sighed at something that happened out of their view, "Very well, I guess we better get started on tracking down where it is located."
Yoda nodded, "Meeting adjourned until found this new being is. May the Force be with you."
Kenobi nodded, "The same to you, Master."
Mace Windu turned to Yoda after the transmission had cut out, "This new being, it created and destroyed a shatter point in the war merely by existing. Our enemies will not take kindly to its existence.
Yoda nodded, "Know this I do, send best of Jedi should Sith appear, I have."
Ki Adi Mundi sighed, "Let us hope they will be enough."
The other masters still present nodded and then set about to the time honored practice of broodi… I mean, meditation.
Waking up on her own was a semi-novel experience for Ranma. She could tell she had been out for at least 24 hours if not more, though something about this environment seemed to be throwing her off. She got up off the ground and stretched, not really noticing anything until she looked into the stream next to her. Her new features frightened her for a second. After all, if she didn't know her own body, how could she control it?
She carefully observed her looks, and then felt them with her hands, "This is different. Probably what caused me so much pain when I arrived wherever I am."
She knelt down to drink the water from the stream next to her. It was nice and cool, now she only wished that she could find some hot water. She also wished she was older again, and to her surprise she started growing until she was easily similar in size to Kasumi or her mother in a few seconds.
RIP!
Ranma glared down at her now useless clothing, "That is extremely problematic, though how did I do that?"
She concentrated hard and watched as she decreased in size until she was roughly 6 years old. The rags that her clothes had become almost all fell into a puddle around her waist. She was able scavenge some of the rags together, though there was only enough material left in "one" piece to cover the important bits on her now much smaller frame. She sighed and wondered what she was supposed to do now.
Ranma sighed and sat down near the stream after turning the unusable scraps of her clothing into a makeshift bag that she tied around a stick, "I can't feel any intelligent life around me for a long ways so I seem to be stuck in the middle of sort of wilderness… Wait a second…"
Ranma's eyes widened at her realization, her ability to sense ki seemed to have skyrocketed to insane levels, allowing her to sense all life around her for hundreds of miles when she wasn't actively trying to. She felt her shock reverberate into the strong energy of her environment, and she instantly felt feedback from her environment that seemed to strengthen her shock, which sent out stronger reverberations, which increased the amount of feedback. She cut off her emotions before they could run wild on her and wondered what the heck that was. It was noticeable enough because she knew herself and her emotions well enough to sense that there was some sort of environmental interference, and that was a bad thing, especially if she got angry.
Controlling her anger was something she had been taught growing up, and especially so while learning the soul of ice. While she was wherever she was it was paramount that she not only control her emotions, but figure out a way to disconnect her emotions from her environment so as to prevent the feedback effect she had discovered. If she was incapable of doing that then the first time she got angry she knew it would negatively impact her environment and her ability to think. Her anger would grow until she was nothing more than a bundle of rage annihilating everything in her path.
She sat down to meditate on her problem, listening to the stream bubble its way by. Her hearing had apparently been greatly enhanced too cause she could hear the stream parting around a rock in the middle of it stuck into the air partially a ways downstream. Her technique riddled mind calculated the success of such an approach and she smiled. She was without a doubt in her mind no longer on earth, and she was happy about that cause it meant no more fiancées. This environment was new to her and she needed to truly be the nail that stuck out instead of going with the flow like she had in Nerima.
She reconnected with her environment, but she didn't let it influence her. Her mental control and discipline made it so she only had to meditate for about three hours before she had disconnected her emotions completely from her environment. She used her own power as a buffer until she was able to figure out how to disconnect her emotions from their connection with the environment. She got up again and stretched, wondering what she should do now.
GROWWLLLLLL!
Ranma blushed, "I think food is going to be my top priority."
She actively focused on her enhanced ability to sense other beings and focused it down to trying to find some sort of prey animal that she could eat. Unfortunately none of the creatures she was sensing were ones she was even remotely familiar with. So she just picked the nearest one and jumped into a nearby tree in the direction of it. Well… she would have if she hadn't overshot the branch she was aiming for.
Ranma shook the leaves and sticks out of her hair as she glared at her small body, "Am I as strong as I was before?"
She walked up to the trunk of the tree, pulled back her fist, and struck.
CRACK!
The tree top toppled to the ground. The trunk had easily been 5 feet in diameter where she had punched it and she had just demolished it with a single punch, as a 6 year-old. Her eyes widened as she stared at her small fist, to her this was without a doubt not good. Considering the difference in strength between a child and an adult this was a problem. She as a 6 year-old was now just as strong if not stronger than she had been when she was almost 18 before this mess had happened. She was more careful as she jumped to the next tree, and she only overshot the center of the branch she was aiming for by an inch. For anyone else that margin of error would be absolutely wonderful, but for her it caused her to frown.
She carefully undressed and secured her clothing and stick sack to another branch. She shivered as a slight breeze went through the trees. She aged herself up to an adult and stared at her fist. She cocked it back and let loose with another punch.
SMAAAAASH!
Her eyes widened in shock. The tree top had completely disappeared around where her fist had struck, in fact a pressure wave had been generated and it was lucky for her that she had struck it high enough because the destruction of the tree had almost reached the place where the branch she was standing on connected to the trunk. She could feel all the animals in the area fleeing from her in fear and she sighed.
Ranma looked over her body, "I think it would probably be best I remain a little brat until I get used to my new strength or I could end up destroying my meal unintentionally."
She turned to where she had left her clothing and saw that her stick bag was now easily a hundred yards away from where she had left it. The shockwave of her punch had blown it into the air where it had been caught by the wind above the tree tops and carried far away from her. She sighed and decided to test her speed as an adult. Unfortunately she was of course not accustomed to moving at super-sonic speeds and ended up literally crashing through three more trees on her way to her clothes. She checked herself over and was incredibly surprised to find that her body was now incredibly durable. She didn't even have a splinter sticking out of her body and the only smudge she had was from some stubborn dirt and sawdust that had survived her super-speed.
She sighed and de-aged herself again down to five years old, figuring that that would be closer to her abilities before this whole mess had started. She put on her clothing rags and set out towards the new nearest life signature that seemed big enough to eat. This was going to be a long day.
Ranma sighed as she placed her little pack on her back, "I hope someone is able to find me."
AN:
I don't often do these but I feel something needs to be said here. All my versions of Ranma are in fact nerfed hard. Any time you read a story that has him/her struggling to get punches to go past the speed of sound he is nerfed hard. Virtually every single series if he/she was dropped into the middle of it (with the exceptions I know of and have watched being late series Naruto Shippuden, Bleach, and Dragon Ball), he/she would royally trounce any and all opponents placed in front of him/her. Dropped in something like the Sonic the Hedgehog Universe, Sonic at his fastest would appear to be at a standstill compared to Ranma. Someone did the calculations, and based on what is depicted in the manga at the end of it, Ranma is capable of moving his/her entire body at roughly 135 times the speed of sound at his/her fastest without the Neko-ken boosting him/her. So yeah, keep that in mind when reading any story that has Ranma in it. So yeah… The age old question of whether or not Ranma would trounce people. Combine Ranma's literally insane speed, durability, strength, stamina, and skill together, and he/she would be capable of trouncing even some versions of Superman.
AN2:
Her current appearance and abilities are based somewhat on Nezuko Kamado from Demon Slayer with some Sesshomaru influence from Inuyasha, if you couldn't tell.
