No matter what Natsuki Subaru does.
No matter what he tries.
He will always be met by the same fate.
Over, and over again it's the same words from the same Witch. The endless dreadful series of events that played time and time again.
"I never want this to end. Never. Never. Never. Never. Never. Never. Never. Never..."
At this approximate time; it has been forty restarts to zero for the poor Natsuki Subaru. Those forty of which have been given nothing and no memory of the exact same event. But something from the unknown; has tampered with the endless cycle. During his fortieth loop at the same Loot house; where he was going to travel and grab the insignia, he encountered someone different. A person who wasn't supposed to be seen until later.
That is… the platinum-haired girl who causes problems and unleashes chaos just for her will. A Witch, that isn't even a Witch. She has prosperous gleaming bright aqua eyes, and the only choice of clothing for her is a thin robe; and nothing else. Beautiful beyond anything or anyone else. And revitalized as the perfect being who has the ability to change the world in her will.
"Ah, so we meet again… Natsuki Subaru."
"-Eh?"
He said while slowly turning his head to her. The sun started to set, and the sight of Emilia is nowhere to be found. This typical encounter… changed the fate of Natsuki Subaru forever.
"Who are you? And why are you only wearing… that?! Seriously choose something else… y-you're making me lose focus."
As the mindless Subaru tilted his head away from the beautiful girl; he briskly felt his legs numb, and he toppled down to the floor.
"W-What's… happening? Why can't I… move?"
Said Subaru in his mind. He is completely paralyzed in front of the long platinum-haired girl. She slowly lowered her voice, and approached next to his right arm.
"Ah… it seems she has made you forget… Forgotten that you have been repeating the same life over and over again. Hadn't you felt like you have experienced this b-"
Her calming voice immediately diminished, and she felt a force. A force that was so strong, that not even her abilities couldn't allow her to speak. This immense force; grew stronger and it slowly pushed her insides. She felt as if darkness was slowly consuming her.
"W-What's happening? I-I thought I am the one who supposed to be cont- AGH-"
No one would expect this, especially Subaru Natsuki. The strong grip of Subaru's arms and legs loosened and he hastily stood up; glaring at the dark shadow giving a grip to the supposed unstoppable Witch of Vainglory.
"I said that I shall not be consumed by this filthy shadow of yours and…"
Yet, even with the orders of the Witch of Vainglory's power of manipulating phenomena; it seemed that it was no use. This isn't the power of just any shadow. If it managed to hold a grip and drive the seemingly most powerful being in the world; this was no other than The Witch herself. Satella, The Witch of Envy.
Subaru stood there; feeling this utter sense of dread slowly consuming his heart.
"W-Who are you? And… why does that look like..."
"I-I'm fine. I can just use self resurre-."
And so; her remains splattered into the air from the dark shadow, but then… when Subaru blinked he saw the beautiful appearance of the Witch of Vainglory once more. The shadow quickly grabbed her by the legs and arms; as if it was an actual being.
"I demand this shadow to never exist, and instead appear in time and space!"
Yet… nothing happened, and instead, the shadow flew straight inside the Witch of Vainglory's mouth. Subaru stood still, unable to feel his heart pounding; as the shadow slowly started to consume the Witch of Vainglory, once again; Subaru raised his voice and yelled to the Witch.
"Who are you?! And what is this girl talking about?! I... I... I felt like I have been here before. I felt like I've seen this girl before... j-just why are you here? Why do you look..."

"That's... you look like... her. That half elf I met my first loop. I... don't understand... why can't I understand what the platinum-haired girl is saying? Just who are you... have I EXPERIENCED THIS BEFORE?!"
Only the three words, get repeated by the Witch's smooth whispers.

Subaru tried to look away from the shadow and covered his two ears. Yet, even he heard the words...

"Stop... STOP! Stop saying that... that... doesn't... AGH"
He felt like his insides are filled with blood rising from one pipe to another. This encounter wasn't supposed to happen. He was supposed to repeat the loop and restart to zero forever. But according to the Witch of Vainglory's actions; it seems that there is some sort of message she was trying to get him across. No one understands why Pandora's doing this, but it seems there is some truth lying behind him that meets the eye.
But after he dies from fear; Subaru will keep this memory forever. No matter how many times he has to restart to zero. He wants to know the reason why she's doing this. What's making the Witch of Envy unsatisfied...
Time all of a sudden stopped, and to Subaru's sights... the vision flashed back to his previous 'save point'. The Appa guy.
He doesn't remember anything that happened before... but only the words... "repeating your life." He doesn't know the meaning the is hidden beneath those three words, so he harshly ignored it and continued to fall into the continuous loop once more.
Before every Restart to Zero, Subaru will always ask a question to the Witch before the Restart to Zero.

Each and every restart, Subaru would always ask a question to The Witch just before he Restarts to Zero. Like a random number generator. Where his fate relies on that one perfect question that will hopefully stop this endless restarting loop.
