Ryuuko Tatsuma awoke the next morning with a slow exhale as she turned her head lazily to look around.

She looked at the window, the sunlight coming to just by her injured side, warming the bandages pleasantly.

'Ooooh, that feels good,' she thought with a slow murmur.

She could seriously go back to sleep if it wasn't for the fact that she wanted to be more alert today. With how things were going, she was going to be moving soon. And the first step to trying to get discharged as soon as possible was to be active, full of energy, and willing to do some painful moving if only to seem more okay than she was.

She slowly stretched, that is sitting up in her medical bed by pressing the button on the side of it to shift her upper half up.

"Hmm," she breathed in slowly, testing her midsection for a moment before nodding as she sat up, shifting back a bit. "Okay… So far, so good," Ryuuko said to herself as she cricked her neck, nodding as she turned her head right.

When she turned left, feeling crick, she spied the sleeping form of Obito, the man's sitting posture fancier than she expected.

Leaning back a bit in his seat, with his legs crossed gracefully over one another, and his hands resting on his knees, he looked like someone far more wealthy than he should have. His book sitting against his stomach closed.

'Oh yeah, watching him show me some of those moves was pretty fun.'

Obito knew five martial arts, she learned. With him also having 2nd Dan black belts in all of them. That was kind of crazy to think about but then she remembered that he probably had normal jobs up to this point. Obito likely had more than enough time since he might not come home with a lack of energy like she did.

So him knowing all forms of complex, and insane moves made sense. She was gonna have to make sure to get at least a good grasp on all of those martial arts for the future.

She looked at the clock to her right and hummed at the 7 o'clock on it.

'Nighteye's going to come by sometime soon,' she realized, frowning as she licked her teeth only to grimace. 'Ugh, please tell me there's toothpaste in that bathroom!'

Then again, how was she to reach it? Ryuuko frown as she felt out all her limbs.

Her arms were fine, each finger feeling slightly sluggish but she wasn't surprised by that.

Her legs felt the same way, a slight pressure on her right hip, her injured side, was there but it didn't feel painful yet.

She reached to the side of her bed, the crutches there a grand vehicle for her pained stomach.

Alright, let's do this.

Twenty minutes later, Obito Uchiha awoke to the sounds of grunting in the bathroom.

"O-Okay, mkeepmgoing," he heard Ryuuko's muffled voice as the sink ran.

'This isn't surprising,'' he thought as he placed his book to his side before uncrossing his legs and standing up, his back popping as he did. 'Okkkayyy, that wasn't bad,' Obito thought.

He rolled his shoulders, feeling no issues before he did some light stretches, body waking up the more he moved.

His teeth were certainly in need of cleaning but he'd wait, going to see if Ryuuko was fine.

Walking over, he gave soft knocks to the door.

"H-Hmuh?!" her muffled shock got a chuckle out of him. "Mobitmo?"

"Yes, it's me. Are you fine? Need help?"

"Mno…" she said as he heard the sound of her spitting. "Phew! N-No, I'm fine! I'm just stopping my teeth from tasting like death."

"I understand, I'll be following your example."

Three minutes later, she came out with a smile of relief.

"Thank god," she said as she breathed out minty goodness. "All yours," Ryuuko said as she used her crutches to move out the way, stumbling a bit. "Aaaaah, a-huh?" she blinked as she stopped, hands coming around to hold her shoulders and arm.

"Come," Obito didn't hesitate, lifting the woman in one fell swoop, talking away from her nose. "Into bed!"

Ryuuko's eyes shrunk at what was happening, cheeks burning bright red.

'What?! What?! WHAT?!' Calm down brain, please!

Obito had picked her up with such ease and she felt very strong arms holding her up. Oh damn, son, did these arms come with a price?!

Gently laying her back into her medical bed, redder than ever before, Obito set her crutches to the side.

"I'll be right back," he said as he left into the bathroom, the sound of running water starting immediately after he went in.

She covered her face, swirls in her eyes. 'D-Did that just happen?!'

Was Obito just some emotion-suppressing monk?! Did he not think anything of the legendary princess carry?!

The sound of the man brushing his teeth got a sigh out of her.

Calm down, it's not that serious. He just wanted to brush his teeth.

Yes, brushing his teeth with the toothbrush she used…

She gripped her face, eyes wide and trembling.

'Stop! Stop! Stop! You're not some little school girl anymore!'

She understood that really she did, but, emotionally, her cheeks rebelled in a vicious manner.

It took her three minutes to calm down and Obito that much more time to finish, coming out of the bathroom with a paper towel before throwing it away in a trash bin.

Going back around to his seat, Obito sat back down before looking at her with a raised brow.

"Everything alright?" he asked.

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine!" she responded quickly as a nurse came in. "H-Hello!"

The woman jumped a bit before throwing Obito a look of confusion.

He shrugged.

Two hours later, post a check-up that Obito stood outside for, Ryuuko had been reading something on her phone as Obito read his anatomy when the door to the room opened to reveal none other than Nighteye.

Coming in, Obito nodded to the new people behind him.

One of them was a 'man' in a completely butler's outfit. The clean black shoes, cleanly-pressed black slacks, a white dress shirt with frills, white gloves, and a long blazer with two long coattails.

Around his 'neck' was a centipede-like scarf… to match with his actual centipede head.

Obito had always found this man's very existence odd in many ways, to such an extent, he'd been very interested in watching for whenever he ate.

Juzo Moashi was his name and his hero name was, surprise, Centipeder.

No, he was not joking.

Next to one of the oddest creations of the world was what could easily pass for a normal-looking woman.

Of course, she was one of Nighteye's sidekicks, along with Centipeder, so she had a quirk that made her kind of odd.

Her hair was dark blue and messy with it parting at the left side of her head. Over her face was a see-through gas mask that allowed her yellow eyes and thick eyelashes to peer around the room.

Her body was covered by a skin-tight, dark blue, crop top with white around the collar and down to the chest and sides, only coming to cover most of her breasts. In that regard, the space under her chest was bare with that trend going all the way down to the hips, just above her nether region.

From there on, she wore a pair of skin-tight black tights, a pair of white, with yellow down the sides, short shorts, and a pair of thick white boots.

Kaoruko Awata or Bubble Girl, her hero name.

"I see, Sir Nighteye, this is bound for bad tidings," the centipede spoke as he saw Ryuuko before turning to his side. "Ah, good morning, Obito-kun, I hope things haven't shaken you with how fast they've become."

"It's fine, Centipeder, I've adjusted," Obito said with a nod. "If anything, Ryukyu needs the tidings, I'm worried about how that injector might have affected her."

"From what we know, it's a sleep-paralysis kind of quirk," Bubble Girl said as she tossed him a wave. "As far as we know, your roommate's gonna be fine, Uchiha-senpai."

"You've worked with Nighteye, longer."

"And I'm still your junior in age," she said with a smile and a nod before holding up a notepad. "With how things went down, Sir Nighteye and we went over all the details of your situation, Ryukyu," Ryuuko perked up. "If it didn't go as deep as we'd have been worried about then you only need to worry about mild bouts of sluggishness and/or sleepiness. With the move, I'd suggest you get more rest for the time your wound is healing."

"Thanks, I didn't really think about that," Ryuuko said with a sigh as her hand went to her side. "Oh, all because of that crazy bastard."

"Yes, him, Yamamoto Miura," Sir Nighteye said as he cupped his chin. "I did the main digging about this man," his eyes narrowed. "He used to be an avid worker in mental healthcare. Some time ago he was discharged with attempts to murder one of the patients."

"Huh, why?" Ryuuko looked confused. "That sounds like he hated his job."

"From the reports, he was always wearing fake smiles," Nighteye said. "He'd said 'All part of the job' to his coworkers. He seemed like he had common sense but then, one day, a patient came in… A man who became a known killer of heroes and people alike, Goto Imasuji AKA Muscular, the villain with an enhancement quirk."

"From what we could gather, he'd been sent to the hospital that Yamamoto worked at," Bubble Girl continued. "Sir has most of the files but we found out that he'd been taunted for most of Goto's stay. Yamamoto was born with a weak body and the villain took advantage of that."

"After he was fired, Yamamoto went into hiding," Centipeder continued. "He never so much as made a peep on normal mediums. No phones, internet, or media to think of."

"It seems like he got into contact with someone in the last five years and they now work together to kidnap heroes," Sir Nighteye finished. "A sad case, in many ways, but he's become a threat to the populace and must be dealt with."

"What do you want us to do?" Ryuuko asked as Obito templed his hands in front of his face. "I want to help, he's already gone after many of my old coworkers, I can't let that stand!"

"Stop!" Ryuuko flinched back from Nighteye's narrowed eyes, the man pointing at her. "To let your emotions cloud your mind is a bad trait to allow. You will rest, you will recuperate. Once you've done those two things, I will assess you to make sure you're mentally certified to handle this case. That's enough time, I promise, Miura disappeared again."

"Did you find out anything about that smoky villain?" Obito asked.

"No, there are no known people in databases that match him," Sir said. "His quirk is remarkably rare. Teleportation… I will not lie to you, at first, I was concerned."

"About his distances, right?"

"Yes, sharp, Obito-kun," Nighteye nodded. "We know not the limits of this teleportation quirk. If it's anywhere, anyone, or anything he's been, seen, or touched, he could easily come back and find you two."

"But that's not the case, is it?" Obito added. "If this teleportation quirk were able to come and get us, coming at night would have been the best bet. I kept up as much consciousness as I could when I slept but there was no such entrance."

Ryuuko blinked at that. 'He what?'

"So my theory is of five," Obito raised a hand with one finger up. "One, the quirk can't teleport to places its user has never been to."

"That makes sense," Bubble Girl said in thought before wincing. "If it could go anywhere, that'd be a bad situation to try and handle."

"Exactly, it's one of the most likely situations," Obito said before raising his second finger.

His middle finger.

Nighteye chuckled a bit, much to Ryuko's confusion and Centipeder and Bubble Girl's nervous laughter.

"Two, he has to mark us, people, places, or things, to go places."

"Hmm, that'd be annoying as well," Centipeder said with a hum. "If that was the case, he'd be able to track anyone, anywhere."

"Yes, it's not as likely as the first theory but it's possible," he'd know, his Kamui had been like that. "Three, his range isn't that far. If we run with that idea, that means that he was nearby. There's actually more evidence for this fact."

"... Yes, that's right," Nighteye's eyes widened before narrowing. "You said he was trying to get Ryukyu, that day, yes?"

"Exactly, that man came looking for the next 'body'," Obito said with twitching fingers. "It has to mean that he either knew the time to transport there, was nearby to teleport in, or was impatient. If we add the first theory together with this, it means that he has to have been, or at least see, the location he needs to go to. He can't go that far nor can he go to places he's never been."

"That makes sense, all forms of powerful quirks typically come with a comeback," Centipeder said. "Endeavor's flames cause him to overheat, Nighteye's has a rather steep time limit, and Yoroi Musha's requires him to have a perfect knowledge of what he's using his quirk on. This one should be no different."

"If that's the case, it means he had to either have been nearby in a car or in another building!" Bubble Girl said with wide eyes. "Oh crap!"

"He was nearby and we were none the wiser," Nighteye grimaced. "Hm, it's the most likely scenario but continue with your other two theories."

"Four, he can transport but needs exact coordinates. So, longitude and latitude."

"Complex, too much so, I don't believe it's this one. You said it yourself, he was easily able to make portals all around. You noticed no lag in his movements when he instantly attacked Ryukyu. So unless his mind is also altered by his quirk-"

"Which we can't deny," Obito inputted.

"-Yes, which we can't deny, he shouldn't be able to do it so quickly."

"Yes and, finally," Obito closed his fist. "He enters a form of astral state and simply flies to the locations he needs to be at. Unlikely but it never hurts to consider."

"Of all the possibilities, these are rather solid ideas save for the last one," Centipeder said with a nod. "But, if we were to focus on a few."

"It'd be the first and third ones," Bubble Girl finished. "A distance limit and a location limit. Actually, I'm gonna assume it's also the second theory," she said with a frown. "That building was one of the higher ones in that area and the only buildings that could see inside it are far across the street…. So either he was in one of those buildings or he can leave 'marks' as Obito suggested."

"That seems sound," Obito said, Ryuuko observing him as he spoke to the heroes.

Why was it that he seemed more like one of the sidekicks than he did as being just a secretary? Obito was scarily smart, she guessed and was seeing firsthand.

She'd not been able to think of all that in just a day, not if she was also worried about a friend.

… Huh, were they, friends, now? She didn't know.

"I'll be speaking to the staff about your movement, how are you with that, Ryukyu?" Nighteye asked.

"I c-can kind of move with crutches," she stammered a bit, surprised at being included once more. "It's a bit painful but I could see myself staying still for long hours at a time. Getting around a single floor doesn't seem impossible."

"Good to know," Nighteye adjusted his glasses before walking out. "I'll see about your dispatch."

Once he left, the two Nighteye agency sidekicks took seats next to their secretary.

"So, how's it going, Uchiha-sempai?" Bubble Girl asked as Centipeder hummed in his seat, bringing out his phone. "I didn't expect for this to happen to you, hahahaha…" she said with a nervous chuckle. "I mean, in our line of work, maybe, but you're just a secretary."

"This is simply the result of fighting back, I suppose," Obito said with a shrug. "Being honest, with what we've learned, I was bound to end up in this situation."

"We heard about that, Obito-kun," Centipeder said. "You've been handling these issues on your own, that's rather surprising knowing your intellect."

"I understand that it wasn't wise," Obito nodded as Ryuuko scratched her chin. "That said, this was only recent. Whether that's a good excuse or not, I don't know, but I was seeing if this couldn't be handled quietly."

"Speaking of," Ryuuko spoke up. "These guys that you handled, how'd you do it?"

"Ryukyu, this wasn't that difficult," Bubble Girl and Centipeder shook their heads at him. "Ignoring them, these people weren't trained assassins, much less than that. They were basically planning to prey on your newness. They didn't account for actual experience."

"Hm, he~" Bubble Girl rubbed the back of her head. "Experience is certainly one way of calling it."

"Were you two surprised at all by Obito's words?" Ryuuko asked.

"Kind of and kind of not?" Bubble Girl said. "When Obito was hired, we'd asked Sir to do it because the paperwork was getting kind of too much. That said, we expected another hero and not Uchiha-sempai. At first, it was kind of weird having a quirkless person in a hero agency like ours, no offense, but Uchiha-sempai has to have some form of self-defense if Nighteye let him in. It's either that or, more likely, his mind. Obito's helped us with a few cases alongside doing the paperwork."

"Now that part makes sense," Ryuuko said with a laugh. "Ever since I started out, Obito has been helping me with the paper trail a bit."

"Obito-kun's typically pretty good with handling paperwork," Centipeder said as Obito nodded. "He's efficient and easily able to search through the small print for notable words or phrases."

"I still need to get better at doing my own," Bubble Girl said as Ryuuko nodded, agreeing wholeheartedly. "But ignore me for now, what's Uchiha-sempai like outside of work? Is he also serious where you guys live?"

Obito perked up in confusion as Centipeder chuckled.

Ryuuko scratched her cheek with a nervous laugh. "Well, he's certainly efficient. Does all the normal house chores without being asked even if I'd tell him I'd do some of them."

"You're tired on average," Obito said. "And it's not like I spend the whole day cleaning. I also have my early morning workout and new cooking recipes to master."

"So, you like to cook, Obito-kun?"

"Yes, it's relaxing, Centipeder-sempai."

"Mm, mm!" Bubble Girl nodded with understanding. "Enjoying a good bath always does it for me. Mm-hmm!"

"M-Mm," Ryuuko considered it herself. "Well, I typically just like to look at infomercials."

"Really?" the centipede hero asked with a raised brow. "I guess it's similar to me enjoying walking through shops with floral smells. Mmmm, it de-stresses me so easily."

"I know what you mean," the dragoness said with a nod. "I just like looking at all the shiny stuff… N-Not that I'm weird or anything!" Ryuuko backtracked immediately, face red and hands waving about. "I-It's just…!?"

Oh, dammit!

"... It's nothing unusual that you should be worried about," Obito said with a raised brow at the thoroughly embarrassed dragon. "It's fine to like what we like, I can't imagine that not having even that is healthy."

"It isn't," the centipede man said. "Being a hero can be extremely stressful. Ignoring one's mental health is not going to help anyone in the end, much less those who need saving."

"I… I guess," Ryuuko admitted with a nervous grin. "I just… It's kind of stereotypical for a dragon to like shiny things, isn't it?"

"Perhaps," Obito shrugged. "That said, no one should care, really. At the end of the day, I can bet you that there are probably more than a couple of people who share all of our hobbies, including your own. It's what it is."

Ryukyu blinked before laughing a bit, more relaxed than before.

Bubble Girl grinned slyly.

How cute.

Obito, Ryuuko, and Bubble Girl sat on a train maybe four hours later.

As it turns out, Ryuuko's acting wasn't all that bad and she got released earlier with some good words and high willpower stopping her from giving up the ghost on her actual ability to move around.

Obito stayed as dressed as he'd been when he went to stay at the hospital, wearing some sandals Nighteye had gotten him.

Ryuuko had been given some clothes from Bubble Girl or Kaoruko, as they were calling her for this trip.

Wearing a tan long-sleeved dress shirt, some unassuming black sweatpants, and white tennis shoes, they'd thought she'd be set but, as it turned out, Ryuuko also preferred being covered.

It was odd to think, what with her hero uniform, but the dragon had been adamant.

When asked what size, she'd said she wanted a bigger than usual one.

"With how things are, I want a bit more to hide me."

So, with that in mind, Obito had given his sizes for Kaoruko to grab a hoodie in.

Oh, the younger woman had beamed at how embarrassed Ryuuko was! Oh, she'd still put it on, something that also got another grin out of Kaoruko!

She wondered if she was just embarrassed or… If this held some deeper meaning to it.

Either way, she was enjoying herself!

Wearing a long-sleeved black top, some white capris, and a pair of sandals, she probably looked the most abnormal of the three.

Good. Her being the odd one out would work.

They got off on the Mustafu B-line station, walking through the crowd before coming out to the sidewalk.

"Okay, so the apartment is going to be in the middle of the city, I hope that's fine, I know your home was kind of in a neighborhood," she said with a wince in sympathy.

Obito looked at Ryuuko who pulled her hoodie's drawstrings in thought. "W-Well, in this situation, I guess that's fine. Actually-"

"Let me guess, your career, right?" Kaoruko intercepted, getting a blinking nod from the dragon quirk user. "From how things are going, we want you to stay low for as long as your wound is an issue, basically. Obito, here," she passed the backpack she had had underneath her seat on the train. "It's a laptop with most of the paperwork we had digitally added. There are also some programs in there to help you go through and make changes. If you need help, Centipeder-sempai said he'd connect to you and run you through it."

"Thanks."

They walked a good bit, Ryuuko staying close to Obito's side, the crutches she had deciding the pace they took.

In an hour, the three stopped for a quick snack in the middle of it all to also let Ryuuko rest before they reached the apartment.

It was in a medium-sized complex that was dark grey in color and had white to accent all the smaller bits. It was wide and by a slightly busy street, being a street end in and of itself.

Going inside, Obito holding the door open for the women, they quickly got Obito and Ryuuko's keys from the front desk.

Going up to the fourth floor, the highest in the apartment, Obito opened it to reveal the decently large space before them.

"It's temporary but I know you two also need your own spaces," Kaoruko said. "Nighteye left me in charge of deciding and the Leaf has pretty good two-room apartments."

Obito looked at the kitchen.

It wasn't that big nor that small. A medium set-up for casuals.

He'd live with it for now.

Ryuuko groaned a bit. "Please tell me there are beds already~"

"I-I got that, too, promise!" Bubble Girl said with a rapid set of nods. "Come on, here," she led them in, showing them one of the rooms. "They're both the same so you guys just need to pick one."

"Take your pick, Ryuuko," Obito offered with ease, the crutches-bearing woman immediately going to the bed and collapsing into it. "I'll take that as a 'yes'."

Kaoruko giggled a bit. "I guess she really was tired. Well, that, or she was hot."

"Mnom," came Ryuuko's answer as she spoke into the pillow, turning her head towards her fellow female hero. "No, it's more that I want to be as warm as possible… Lizard genes, maybe."

"A cold-blooded nature, I assume?" Obito asked, getting a nod. "I always found it odd how you could cover up so much, so often."

"Yeah, heat's never too much for me," Ryuuko said. "It's one of the upsides to being a, or part, dragon. It also makes Summer my favorite time of the year."

"Lucky!" the blue-skinned woman said. "I hate Summer. It's so annoying having to deal with my quirk being stupid in that dumb, hot, sun."

"Hm, hm," Obito chuckled as he went back out and into the kitchen. "... Hmmm, I think we have to actually get some food items for our stay."

"Sir said you know the area?" Bubble Girl asked.

"I do, I spent some time around this area for schooling and work before I moved to Nighteye's area."

"Gotcha!" Bubble Girl nodded before cupping her chin. "Hmmm. I'd say it's fine to go out every now and then but you two should keep that amount down. We moved but who knows when these guys will come after you," she said with a frown.

"We will," Ryuuko said. "Obito's typically fine with staying inside and I don't really have many friends in Mustafu. Well, maybe. I used to have a kohai around here. Maybe she's here?"

"It'd be better for her to come here than you going out, just saying."

"I understand."

"Then I'll be right back," Obito said as he came into the room. "I actually have family here, so I'll need to inform them of the situation and to keep quiet. Otherwise, they should be fine to come, yes?"

"Yeah, we don't want to separate you two from the world so much as lay low. As long as your family members aren't big gossipers, you should be fine," Kaoruko said as she threw him a thumbs-up.

~NRK~

She smiled as she cleaned up the home.

It was going to be Saturday soon, they could go and visit Obito when it came.

All this was considered by a slightly plump, dark green-haired, woman in her modest home.

Wearing a light yellow skirt, brown slippers, and a white shirt, her green eye shined as she giggled a bit.

'Hisashi said he'd be home soon!' she thought with a giggle and grin. 'Oh, I hope it happens on Saturday as well!'

Then the whole family could come together and enjoy some time as one. Perhaps she could even try and nudge Obito in the direction of his housemate?

She giggled some more as a ring came out from the kitchen, the moss-headed woman blinking as she put down her Swiffer-picker-upper and traveled to grab her phone.

When she saw who it was, she blinked. "Obito-kun?" she said to herself before picking up. "Moshi, moshi, Obito-kun?"

-Ah, Inko, nice to speak to you- he said.

"It's the same!" she smiled. "Izuku should be leaving school soon so he won't be able to speak to you right now," Inko giggled. "Though he's certainly taken to your teachings."

-I'm glad he has, he's a smart and earnest boy, he just needs to believe in himself more- Obito said. -That said, that's not why I called… You see, I might have been forced to move back here-

She blinked. "Huh?"

-Well, it's something to do with a villain- Obito explained. -I'm going to send you my new address. When you get the chance, could you and Izuku, as well as Hisashi once he comes back, come over?-

"Of course!" Inko would never mind.

Obito had done so much for them, trying to help her and Hisashi's situation. Hisashi's over-focused habits being one of the things he tried to fix by having his older sibling come back from overseas more often.

Honestly, she wished she could just try and find him a good wife! She liked Ryuuko enough but it always felt like those two were just one step from being attracted to one another!

"... Wait, Obito, is it just you?"

-No, it's not… You need to come over to get the full details but just know that Ryuuko-san is here. I'll talk to you later.-

"Okay," she said before ending the call. "Hm, I hope they're okay."

Obito deserved some nice norm… Wait, had he called her 'Ryuuko' instead of 'Tatsuma-san'?

… Her eyes grew wide.

Progress?!

~NRK~

Obito breathed in even breaths as he carried in a large amount of bags in his hands in the elevator

"This should last us for at least a week and a half," he said to himself, reaching his floor and departing. "..." Obito thought over his situation as he reached his and Ryuuko's shared apartment.

Knocking on the bottom of it with his foot, Obito heard Kaoruko's feet quickly make it to the door before she opened it to let him in. "Welcome back."

"Thanks," Obito said as he moved to the kitchen and placed down his bags. "Is Ryuuko alright?"

"She's currently laying down and watching the news on her phone," Bubble Girl said as she came around and helped her sempai place things away. "You got a lot."

"If we're to stay in more, I must prepare appropriately," Obito said with a nod. "Not just that, I've informed my family of my being here and nothing else. I'll explain everything to them when they get here."

She nodded as they quickly put everything away. "Hm, I'm thinking that you guys need to get some clothes."

"We do, I didn't think about that while I was out," Obito admitted with a frown. "... Izuku, my nephew, doesn't come out until 3:15. It's only two o'clock, we could go and get some clothes before my family comes. I'll even text Inko to come at 4 instead of before."

Bubble Girl nodded as the two of them went into Ryuuko's room.

Turning up from her video, the dragoness tilted her head at them.

"I heard you in the kitchen, I'm fine with getting some clothes."

~NRK~

Returning to their new home once more, Obito with most of the clothes in hand, going in before depositing their loot on the floors of the rooms.

"Mmm!" Ryuuko stretched cautiously, feeling her wound. "Mmhaaa, super tired," she said as she yawned. "Oh… Is this the… Myyaawwwhhh, that sleep, you talked… about?" the dragon woman said sleepily as she fell back onto her bed.

Obito frowned. "Do you want to be awake or not?"

"Mmmm…" she blinked slowly. "... Noooo," Ryuuko drawled before her head fell to the side, soft snoring coming from her lips.

Obito and Kaoruko sweatdropped. "I-I guess we should leave her be?" the sidekick asked with some nervous laughter. "I guess this will be a learning process. She seemed perfectly fine the whole day."

"I'll see about finding different dishes to handle sudden sleepiness," Obito said, getting a blink and then chuckle from his sidekick coworker. "Hm?"

"N-No, it's nothing. I'm just surprised by how caring you are, no offense," Kaoruko said. "It's just… I always assumed you to be a cold-logic type of guy. It's nice to know you care more than you let on."

"..." Obito considered that. "I've always strived to do what it takes to help people in the best ways I could. I don't wish to be a hero," he didn't deserve it. "So I do what I can. Ryuuko just needs help at times, she's still fresh to all this."

"Hm, hm," Awata nodded with a soft smile. "I get that. Most people don't realize that kind of stuff is kind of important, doing what you can instead of what you want to do."

"I also strive to understand myself."

"Now, that also makes sense."

She walked up the apartment complex with a tilt of the head.

"The Leaf?" Inko muttered in thought as a young man at her side looked around with a curious gaze. "Be mindful, Izu-kun."

"I will, mom!"

Her son, her baby, oh how he seemed to have changed ever since meeting his uncle.

Being an average-height boy at the age of fourteen, Izuku Midoriya was a kind young boy with a slightly nervous trait she hoped didn't come from her.

Wearing a pair of black shorts, his favorite red sneakers, and a white shirt with 'Plus Ultra!' on the chest, Izuku smiled, freckled cheeks and green eyes radiating understanding.

She smiled back at him, the two of them going up the elevator.

"Hmm, I wonder what Obito-ojisan wanted to talk about?" he wondered as he messed with a collapsed three-section staff on his lower back. 'Hopefully, we can do some training today.'

Izuku had always viewed his uncle in a positive light.

Ever since finding out that he was quirkless at the age of 4, Izuku wouldn't lie… He'd lost hope in himself.

Finding, learning, and understanding quirks had been a, no matter how small, chance to see if completely knowing how quirks worked would give him a hero advantage.

But… It hadn't stopped Kacchan in their early years. His childhood friend only respected strength and force, something Izuku couldn't fully get behind.

He just wanted to help people. Sure, strength and force were a part of the equation, but if you didn't save people instead of focusing on that, you failed as a hero in his eyes.

Make no mistake, he was sure Katsuki would become a great hero but he thought his fellow classmate would need to change his goals.

One of the first Izuku was trying to change was his view of himself and his ideals. In the beginning, with no power to his name, Izuku couldn't really budge him.

… But, after meeting his quirkless, but strong, uncle, he realized that being quirkless didn't mean you were helpless.

As Obito-ojisan said, doing what you can to become strong is better than wishing for a single method to that goal.

It'd been hard to understand at first, he'd assumed the man was telling him to give up his dream, but, after watching him train one day… or several, or a week, no one was counting, he'd come to realize that his uncle might have been onto something.

So he asked him that fated question, 'Can I, a quirkless, become a hero?'

He wasn't sure what he'd been expecting. Izuku had expected another lesson in doing what he could.

… Nope! He'd outright said he could become a hero! It'd be one of the happiest times of his life!

Man, he'd cried so much in front of his uncle, Izuku felt in the present embarrassment.

So, from then on, his uncle had done what he could for him. Giving him a training schedule, philosophy, something he was at a stalemate on, and then, best of all, his hand-to-hand and weapon training.

No offense to the former but having a weapon sounded more matching to a quirk user than just having his bare hands.

So he'd followed in his uncle's martial footsteps. Every day, he got up and follow the Uchiha's workout schedule.

It'd been arduous, getting up early, getting drained, going to school, dealing with Kacchan, and then having to repeat that cycle… But it led to results.

Never before had Izuku felt as fit as he did now. It was odd at first, feeling so… capable. With all the stretches, the movement exercises, and the running… Izuku had beaten Kacchan on Fitness Day!

It'd be one of the few moments where he'd been so shocked that he and Kacchan hadn't spoken at all. That day had gone so oddly that he couldn't process it until the day after.

He'd beaten Kacchan at something! Sure, the boy wasn't allowed to use his quirk but quirked individuals' bodies were typically enhanced in some form or other by their quirks even if it wasn't an actual enhancement quirk!

He'd never turned down any of his uncle's words after that. He'd done every exercise for as much as he was supposed to do.

And he had results.

He smiled as they walked down the hall of the top floor before coming to a door.

"Uncle lives here?" he asked his mother, looking up a bit as she nodded, knocking on the door.

"Ah, coming!" Izuku smiled at the voice as the door opened to reveal none other than Obito, in the flesh. "Hm," he smiled.

"Hi, uncle!"

"Obito-kun," Inko followed up her son's grin with a smile of her own. "I hope this isn't too bad of a move."

Obito rubbed the back of his head before gesturing to the inside of his new home.

"Come on in, I've already got some tea ready. Also, Ryuuko's asleep and my coworker's in the living room."

Coming in, Izuku blinked at the blue-skinned woman sitting on a set of large cushions in the living room, a TV on the only piece of real furniture in that area.

Kaoruko looked up from Obito's anatomy book to see the two green-haired individuals before smiling.

"Good afternoon!"

They quickly found themselves placed on similar large cushions, Obito bringing a tea tray around before serving everyone.

"Thank you, Obito-kun," Inko said as she blew on her drink before sipping some. "... Mmmm, as always, you make some of the best teas," she said with a smile.

"I've been trying out a few new things."

"Hmm, how's everything going, Uncle?" Izuku asked with an excited smile. "You joined a hero agency, didn't you?!"

"As a secretary, Izuku," Obito shook his head as Bubble Girl snickered. "This is Kaoruko Awata, my coworker, or better known as 'Bubble Girl'."

The boy's eyes shined as the blueberry-haired woman rubbed the back of her head.

"M-Mmm, I'm not exactly what you call the most active, though!" she deflected quickly. "I only recently, full-time, started working at the Nighteye agency."

"Nighteye, Nighteye," Izuku confronted the mental images of his hero notebooks. "... I don't remember a Nighteye. Obito-ojisan told us he joined a hero agency but I didn't really know who yet."

"Sir Nighteye is probably one of the oddest heroes to work with," Bubble Girl said nervously. "Just know, he knows what he's doing but he can decide to be weird at times."

"I see," Inko nodded. "Hmm but I'm assuming that's not why we're here, is it?"

Obito nodded before explaining his situation.

Inko and Izuku balked as he and Kaoruko explained this set-up.

"S-Seriously?!" Obito pressed a finger to his lips. "S-Sorry! It's just… Uncle, you were being kidnapped?" the boy asked in disbelief.

"I'm surprised you didn't know, I'd been on the news a bit too much for my liking."

"I-I thought those were just regular people!"

Inko nodded. "Hm, hm! Obito-kun… So these people are coming after you?" she looked horrified.

"Me and Ryuuko," Obito corrected. "Right now, we moved as quietly as we could. Sir Nighteye is currently working with Kaoruko and Juzo, his other sidekick, on the case. He actually considered calling in Endeavor with how good the No. 2 is at solving cases like this."

"E-Endeavor?!" Izuku freaked out quietly. "The Endeavor?!"

"Yup," Awata said. "Too many heroes have been affected by this to just be a simple one district issue… And, something I didn't tell you, Uchiha-sempai," she frowned, Obito doing the same. "The 'Nomu'... The 'brainless'... There've been odd sightings of individuals we checked in on. Beings with exposed 'brains'."

Inko looked pale while Izuku swallowed, Obito furrowing his brows.

"Nomu, brainless… Kaoruko, these sightings, have they all had any trends?"

"Of course," Bubble Girl nodded, bringing out her phone and opening it before swiping through. "We have odd sightings, school rumors, and ghost sightings. Here," she showed him the picture she pulled up.

What Obito saw had his eyes narrowing as he looked at a black humanoid with bulging eyes, an exposed brain, and six arms.

Even as blurry as it was, his eyesight, even without his Sharingan, picked out these details with ease.

"Is this the only one?" He asked as she frowned, nodded.

"I don't have any pictures but… Obito-sempai, this really does seem like it's bigger than we expected. This was from a downstairs area in Hosu. Another showed up in Tattoine. I'm worried that we're getting to a point of these things being manufactured."

"D-Didn't you say that that shadow villain wanted to experiment on Uncle?" Izuku asked as his grip on his knees tightened. "If… If they're using heroes for this… Why do they want Uncle?"

"..." Obito frowned. "A thing the shadow villain said was I had a good body to use. They might need people who are compatible with these things. And, it seems like they've never tried a quirkless person."

"?!" Inko swallowed. "Obito-kun?"

"I wanted you both to know so when I have you stay away, you know why," he explained. "I want to speak with Hisashi about this, too. Is he around?"

"D-Dad's supposed to be coming back two days from now."

"I see, I'll speak to him. For now, I just want you all in the know. Chances are high these guys will come after you two if they find me. They did this to me just to bring Ryuuko to a trap, I don't doubt they'd try to do it with my own family."

"W-We understand," Inko said as she drank more of her tea, calming her nerves. "... Actually… There was something I was going to ask you," she said slowly, looking him in his confused eyes.

"Yes?"

"Obito-kun… when did you start using Tatsuma-san's first name?"

"..." Obito's face went flat as Bubble Girl started giggling like an idiot. "... Inko… That's kind of not impor-"

"Did something happen?!" She asked immediately, getting a slight choke from her brother-in-law. "You know, I keep saying you should settle down as well."

Awata wiped a tear from her eye. "Oh god."

"I-Inko, that's not what's happening!" Obito insisted. "Ryuuko and I simply…" How the hell did he say this without it sounding like they were becoming a bit more than friends? "... Platonic closer," he said.

"... There are few things that can happen under one roof, Obito-kun."

"Inko, please!"

The night that followed the day, Obito sat on his bed, laptop in his lap as he went through some of the new programs he had to learn.

Midway through trying to understand how MS Paint would help him, he heard the creak of the door at the side of his room.

As it turned out, the two bedrooms were connected by a single door, such quick access must have been considered.

It opened a bit to allow a blond head of hair to pop through, Ryuuko Tatsuma's eyes looking around Obito's room before finding Obito himself.

She looked nervous but Obito nodded.

"Come on in, your crutches must be killing you."

"... Y-Yeah," she said as he got up before opening the door for her to come through. "Thanks," she said softly, the moonlight reaching through Obito's window to sit on his bed.

Obito gestured to his bedside, helping her to sit on it before setting her crutches against the wall by his bed.

"Thanks, again," she said.

"It's no issue, your status is mostly my fault."

"Obito."

"I'm not saying that I'm beating myself up," he explained as he sat on his bedside as well. "That said, I'm still partially responsible for your condition. If I'd seen that spider woman coming, we'd not be… well, not in this situation, but you'd be healthy enough to move on your own power."

"... Haa, why are you so articulate?"

"Because that's how communication works," he said with a smirk as she chuckled. "I've learned that people need to communicate, we can't help one another without that."

"Here, here," she said with a low raised fist. "Mmm, haaa, getting used to this change in my sleep schedule is going to be hell on my brain."

"I'll keep track of when and how often you feel these bouts of drowsiness," Obito said. "If we can figure out a pattern, you can live around that for as long as it lasts."

"... Geez, you just do everything for me, huh?" she said before blushing a bit, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear as she looked away. "T-That is… Ya know? You're… nice."

Oh, what she wouldn't give to punch herself with her dragon form right now.

Obito raised a brow at that. "Right… As for kindness, I never truly was a kind man," he said with a frown as she looked at him with a tilt of the head. "I've… I've done many things, Ryuuko-san. Many I'm not proud of long before we even met in middle school."

His attempt to free the world of its will would never stop being his biggest mistake.

He killed so many people in the name of such madness! What the hell had he been thinking?!

Ryuuko, seeing the frown on Obito's face, placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Hey, now, you're not that way anymore, right?"

"It's… It's not really a matter of me being that man now," he shook his head. "I have to make up for it. Even if I can't do it all, I want to be a better person than I used to be."

Naruto, Kakashi, Minato-sensei, Rin, he couldn't fail them now. Not with this second chance of his.

"..." Ryuuko looked at the determined look on Obito's face before scratching her cheek. "Well… You're working at a hero agency, that's gotta be something, yeah?" she joked, getting a chuckle from her housemate… Or was it roommate now?

"Hm," Obito smiled as he closed his eyes. "I guess so, helping heroes is certainly one way to deal with things."

"Yup! I mean, you help me all the time," she said. "I… I know I'm leaning on you a bit much but-"

"It's fine," Obito said with a raised brow. "Until you're done dealing with me, I'll help you. Besides being the right thing to do, I want to help you."

She blinked twice before her face burned bright red. "T-That so?!"

Oh god, he… H-He really just said that, hadn't he?!

How the hell was she supposed to take that?! Was he being nice? Was it to get into her pants? Wait, no, he probably could have done that way earlie…?!

WHAT THE HELL HAD THAT THOUGHT BEEN?!

"Ryuuko-san?" Obito raised a brow. "Everything alright up there?" he asked as he placed a hand on her shoulder, ignoring how soft her skin was.

'Dammit. Uchiha! Keep it together! She's hurt! Why are you thinking with your dick right now?!'

And this all just had to have happened before he'd blown off some steam, at that.

The time ahead was looking difficult.

Ryuuko's lips pressed together before wobbling. '... Am I… Am I really that okay with that?'

The idea was never unpleasant, she realizes. It's not like Obito had ever propositioned her or looked at her pervertedly. Not in ways that she noticed, at least.

He certainly wasn't bad-looking. He was smart, had a stable job, and rather wise. He helped her so often, she wondered if he wasn't a robot sometimes.

And he was strong. Ignoring how he was capable, it seemed, he'd been able to lift her with such ease, she still felt how strong his arms were right now.

His hands were also big and warm, something that had her cheek flaring up as well.

"... Hmph," Obito removed the appendage and she felt colder around that shoulder. "I'm assuming you're going to be up, aren't you?"

"Well… Yeah, thankfully, we got clothes already," Ryuuko sighed as she considered her next couple of hours. "What time is it?"

"Midnight."

"Dammit," she looked at the door between her and Obito's rooms. "... Hey, you mind if I just stayed in here tonight?"

Obito blinked, looking at her as she blushed a bit, messing with her hair as she did. "I'm fine with it but I'd ask why?"

"Well, for one, it's easier for me to just chill in a room with you around," think about what you said, please! "T-That is, I'm more comfortable when there's someone else around, I guess? That's also, kind of, why I wanted a shared place. I can't imagine living on my own, yet… It's kind of embarrassing," she admitted with red cheeks.

It was childish but she didn't really like being alone. Crazy thought, being alone was lonely, insane new breakthrough.

Living with Obito had been rather nice. He was never out when she wasn't, not that often that is, and he was diligent in cooking and the like.

"... That's fine, some people don't find being alone acceptable," Obito said. "I know what that used to be like. Sometimes, it's really just that simple. We're social creatures, after all."

"Thanks," she said as she pulled her phone out of her pocket. "Now…" she looked around the space.

Obito shifted back onto his bed, back against his headrest, before motioning to the space next to him.

She flushed a bit before slowly crawling over, minding her wound.

Once she was set up, Obito about a hand's length away, she breathed in, calm.

Not bad.

He grimaced as his wrist was worked on by the bald doctor.

"Fucking, quirkless bastard."

"Ho, ho! That sounds rich, coming from you, Yamamoto-kun."

"Bite me, Ujiko," Yamamoto said with a grunt as the medical professional let go. "... Hmph," he rotated the limb. "... Tsk," he remembered the face of that brunette bastard.

Stopping him from raking in another one of those damn heroes! A quirkless! That shouldn't have been possible but, apparently, the universe loved to prove him wrong!

"So, remind me of this young man who did this. What was he like? Kurogiri seemed rather taken with him," Dr. Ujiko said as he shifted in his chair, bushy mustache shifting as he spoke. "He must have been quite the example for Kurogiro to know him as interesting."

"Tsk," the blonde grumbled. "His name was Obito Uchiha. A fit bastard who was able to best my people with just his bare hands. Then that dragon cunt brought him his weapon."

"I see, I see, hmm," Ujiko nodded as he looked up the name. "I see, so, as it says, he's without family?" That was fascinating but odd. "Hmph, I wonder if he was abandoned or not? I would have loved him in my orphanage!"

"Che! Good luck with that," Miura said. "He's related to that dragon woman somehow, I'm guessin' they're a thing. Ya don't just live with a random guy."

"Hmm, Ryuuko Tatusma, yes?" Ujiko looked it up. "She has an elderly grandmother who passed away some years ago, otherwise, no family. More than the young man."

"Yeah, yeah, I bet he just got snuffed for his uselessness."

"That doesn't sound like what happened to you, does it?"

"Fuck off, I'm done," Yamamoto said with a growl. "Enjoy looking at 'em, ya old bastard."

Watching him go, Ujiko shook his head. "Goodness, the youth nowadays are so thin-skinned."

That said, he turned back to the quirkless man of this couple.

"He seemed oddly strong, did he?" he said to himself. "... If he's one of the special ones…" Ujiko perked up in excitement. "Then he must be able to access his brain percentages! If he can, he'd be an invaluable subject!"

This said he was a five-time, 2nd dan black belt in five martial arts. Had this man, somehow, unleashed the limiters on his body to attain this strength, somehow?

He was so curious! Oh, he'd need to capture this man ASAP!

Awaking by early noon the next day, Obito blinked as he removed his head from his pillow before remembering that he'd been sleeping while sitting upright.

When he looked to his left, he found Ryuuko's head of hair by his neck, already realizing that she was sleeping on his shoulder, phone in her lap.

His eyes softened as she snored softly.

'... How do I get out of this situation?' he thought, his situation now becoming apparent. 'I want to clean myself up but I don't want to exacerbate her injuries if I move.'

What a situation to be in.

He shifted some and noted that Ryuuko didn't make much noise. So he shifted himself a bit more, turning so her head was more in between his chest and neck instead of his shoulder.

Obito lifted her slightly, allowing his chest to work as a good substitute for her resting place.

A little more maneuvering had him standing with the dragon woman in his arms.

Turning around, he gently placed her down, bringing the blankets up around her so as to not bother her too much.

"Mmmm…" she moaned a bit before nuzzling into his pillows. "..."

He nodded before heading off to the bathroom to clean up.

Ten minutes later, he was out and noted that Ryuuko was now yawning as blinked sluggishly at him.

He chuckled as she groaned into her pillow before stuffing her face into it further once more.

"I'll make you some tea," he said.

Sitting on the edge of Obito's bed, she sat a tray on her knees with a plate of bacon, eggs, and two pancakes. She drank some of her tea before placing it back down and using a fork to begin eating.

"I guess we should discuss what we're going to do today," Obito said, the heroine nodding to him. "I'll start. I'm probably going to just work on the paperwork the others had for me. Besides that… nothing," he said with a shrug.

Swallowing her food, Ryuuko tapped her toes together in thought. "... There's really not much we can do, is there?"

"Well, we could go and walk for a little bit," Obito offered and Ryuuko considered. "Other than that, we do need to stay under house arrest for a bit. Honestly, when you're more healed, we could also work on your hand-to-hand."

She grinned. "Sure, sounds like fun!"

Three hours later, the two of them stepped out of the apartment.

Obito was wearing some black track pants with dark blue accents, dark blue sandals that weren't ninja sandals but did wrap around his ankle, and a black, sleeveless, under armor hoodie. Finally, on his hands, he wore some thin, black, gloves.

Ryuuko, on the other hand, wore that large hoodie they'd gotten her originally, the white one with a dragon on the back. On her lower half, she wore some orange sweatpants with yellow slash marks on the sides and a pair of tennis shoes she also wore from the day before.

Her crutches were in her grasp as the two of them moved towards the elevator.

"Is there anything you have in mind?" she asked him, leaning against the back of the elevator box. "Somewhere nearby?"

"There is a bit away, Inko and Izuku live about thirty minutes away by bus and there's a good park near there as well."

Ryuuko nodded as the doors opened, the two leaving.

Exiting the apartment complex not that much later, they walked a bit down the street before ending up at a bus stop, their luck good as a bus came less than a minute later.

Getting on, Obito paid their fare before the two of them made it to the front seats.

Obito sat by the window seat as Ryuuko took the aisle one, Obito holding onto her crutches for her.

"Does Mustafu have lots of stuff to do?" She asked as she breathed in. "Like, I don't know, jewelry?"

"There are a few shops around that deal with that," Obito said with a nod as the bus moved. "Plus, there were antique shops that had odd gemstones in them," she looked excited by the prospect. "Hm, hm, we can check it out on the way back," he said with a smirk as she grinned.

The bus ride took as long as he'd said, thirty minutes.

Getting off, helping Ryuuko as she did, Obito looked around his old neighborhood.

"I texted Inko about us being here. She's fine with us coming over for dinner if we want."

"Think it's fine?"

"... Hmm," Obito considered her question. "No, it isn't… But I'll handle any repercussions that this outing will get us."

"You really missed them, huh?" Ryuuko asked as Obito led her to a bench. "I guess you don't see them often?"

"Well, no, I normally do, on weekends," Obito said as he stretched in front of her. "Hmmm, my brother, on the other hand, I don't see often. He works overseas in construction as an agent. Last we heard? He was in America," he finished before flipping onto his hands.

Ryuuko watched him go, the man in front of her walking around on his palms before cartwheeling sideways into flips.

"Huh," she said with a nod as Obito flipped once in the air before landing in a crouch in front of her. "Well done," the dragon said with a blink and some claps.

"Thanks, being agile is important in being able to be in any position I need to be."

Her mind blanked, going to dirty places before she blushed. "Y-Yeah, I-I get that."

Did he seriously need to word it like that?

"I'm curious of your own workout regime, Ryuuko-san."

"My own?"

"Yes, I'm curious of how you 'stretch your wings', so to speak."

"Hmmm, well, outside when I go to work out in the morning, on my days off, I go to the Aero Quirk Dome," she explained. "My form's big, with claws, and large wings, I need all that space to truly go all out."

"Quirks are truly interesting," he said.

"They're all pretty cool."

~NRK~

The first week at their new location had gone off without a hitch.

Keeping track of Ryuuko's sleep sickness, they'd decided that would be the term, it seemed that it depended on how much energy she'd used up.

It always hit at about around before evening but the amount of time she was knocked out for was dependent on how her day had been. So if she was lazing around, she'd be down for only an hour before getting up.

With that in mind, relaxing was literally her best medicine here, not surprising but it was good to know specifically.

Anyway, a week had gone by and, over that time, Ryuuko simply found her place next to Obito.

Her wound had been healing well, Obito was sure that her dragon traits improved her healing factor, what with how she was able to move around the apartment without her crutches if she moved slowly enough.

Of course, only the apartment. Outside, long times of doing so tired her out faster and made her new nocturnal design a bigger issue.

So, they simply spent time around the house. Obito doing work on his agency laptop while Ryuuko would be somewhere nearby. As of late, they got a decent couch for a good price on eBay.

So she'd lay around in it while Obito took up the other end, working. She sometimes took a nap while, other times, she'd simply run over Obito's paperwork with him.

Learning how Obito did it had been fascinating, that, and, seeing the kind of work the Nighteye agency did make her consider what kind of specialty she'd want her own agency to give if she ever had one.

Of course, nothing could stay the same after Ryuuko had known he was horny while Obito felt his need for an outlet becoming somewhat unbearable.

With how close-quarters the two had been getting, Ryuuko's scent, her loosely-covered body, her leanings on him, hell, just the pleasant times they spent together, had all been building a lust in him that he was ignoring as best as he could.

Meanwhile, Obito's workouts, the chance times she caught him less clothed, his helpful nature, his helping her, had been causing a similar form of lust in the heroine.

While not as far along, she knew that, if things continued like this, they may come at one another recklessly. The idea, even now, brought her no end to fantasies of the act in question.

And it's only been a week. Lord knows what might happen by the second or, if they could hold out that long, the third.

Ryuuko would have taken to… ahem, self-satisfaction but, with a wounded side, all that huffing, shifting, and movement would do more harm than pleasure.

No… She wanted someone else to do it for her and she got slightly lightheaded every time she and he were in the same room, not doing anything.

They'd taken to staying outside longer but keeping the trips less than three times a day. It at least allowed them to air out. All that open space allowed for simpler thoughts but it'd only last so long.

With the worries of being found, being stuck inside until her wound was fully healed, and choosing to help Ryuuko so he stayed, both were at a crossroad.

Change their relationship? Become Friends With Benefits… Become Lovers?

Inko had certainly seemed excited for that last one, Ryuuko catching many of the woman's hints over the days. Ignoring how embarrassed she'd gotten, Ryuuko hadn't found the idea bad per se.

Obito, on the other hand, wasn't sure if him doing such actions would be for the best of the two of them. Neither of them knew if this attraction wasn't just surface-deep.

So, as Monday rolled around, the two found themselves outside once more but simply walking around in the city, looking for distractions.

Obito had been dressed in a similar outfit as he had last Friday while Ryuuko did the same but with sandals instead of tennis shoes.

As they walked, Obito made sure she had her pathing while she kept an eye out for places to eat at, the two wanting to eat out for today.

They'd been in the middle of it when there'd been a tremor in the ground, a pink, bulging, meteor crashed into the street in front of them.

"... Let's leave-"

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Obito cursed at the loud laughter as he tried to usher Ryuuko away. "AHHHH, feels GOOD!"

Obito frowned as his head flicked back, looking past the running crowds to see the villain of the day.

It was what looked like a man. Looked like as the damn person looked more like a pack of bulging muscles than a human body even with how similar it looked.

Obito could barely make out the guy's dark green pants and black boots, his upper half bare and the bulging mess of muscle fibers Obito had noted earlier.

When he saw his face, the brunette's eyes narrowed, peach skin, short, spiky, blond hair, and black eyes curled in joy as he broke the floor with his bulging arms.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA!" the villain roared as Obito redoubled his efforts to keep Ryuuko safe. "Who first… YOU!"

Obito felt a heated breath leave his lungs as he turned to see the blond bastard, how dare he, looking right at him.

'I'm sorry to all the blondes I know,' Obito thought as he placed Ryuuko behind him. "..."

"Hmmm, you could be a good start to my day," the muscular villain said, his muscle fibers shrinking until Obito could see the man's red tank top. "Come on, wouldn't want yer girlfriend to see ya run-"

Obito made the executive decision to book it, pulling Ryuuko into his arms in an instant before taking off.

"?!" The blonde's grin grew three sizes. "Hoooo, I enjoy a chase."

Obito, meanwhile, ran as fast as he could before leaping onto a street lamp's body, and then its head, to jump off again, the feeling of killing intent on his back growing close.

Ryuuko watched as that muscular villain slammed into Obito's previous location, the area crumbling underneath his muscled form with ease.

"Shit!" she cursed as Obito was atop another light post before jumping off it, turning upside down in the air to watch the man with the physical enhancement quirk pulverize his previous location. "We have to lead him away from the crowds."

"I understand but he's fast!" Obito said with a grimace as the man turned his head before shooting towards the airborne two. "Fucking-!" he cut himself mid-curse, landing on the roadway barely jumping back in time to dodge the villain's crash site. "Too fucking fast!" Obito cursed before his eyes widened as the muscle villain was already mid-lunge.

He threw Ryuuko up as high as he could before performing a split, the villain passing overhead as Obito returned to his standing position to catch his dragon housemate.

"W-Warn me next time!" she yelled as she gripped onto him for dear life, eyes moving to the rolling villain. "I-I guess he went too fast to stop?"

"Yes but that also means that he's too fast for us to avoid for too long," Obito said with a grimace as he let Ryuuko's feet touch the floor but didn't let go, hand going to the holster he had on his left leg. "... Ryuuko, can you run on your own?"

"W-What?!" she looked at him alarmed beyond words. "I'm not leaving you like this-"

Obito felt death on his back and tossed both himself and Ryuuko to the side as the man's arm swept across the space they'd just been in.

Rolling, Obito gripped the dragon woman tightly, keeping her as steady as possible as their roll came to a stop, debris falling from around them.

"Tsk!" he grit his teeth as he got up with the dragon woman in his arms, stunned as he stared down the muscled man. "... If you leave her out of this, I'll fight you."

"Huh?" The villain looked speculative. "Mmmmmmm, alright, ya,' he grinned wickedly. "But, once I kill you, she's next."

Obito's countenance changed as he let Ryuuko down-

The villain barely had the time to bring an arm up as the brunette stabbed into it with a knife.

"Hohahahah!" he swung his arm away but the bastard released his knife's bite on his forearm, spinning in the a-His head flung back as Obito's leg lashed out.

Landing, he didn't give the man a chance, coming in with a swipe at his thighs before jumping back as a meaty hand cratered the floor where he'd just been.

"Nic-!" The villain's head snapped up from kick to the jaw. "Phew!"

Obito reset his leg before pushing up off his back foot to send three sharp blows to the man's neck.

He knew it'd not be as effective, that was thick tissue, but he had to judge his quirk.

The villain choked a bit before grinning as he sent a palm thrust towards the quirkless man who flipped over the attack before lunging at the villain's neck, knife in hand.

It'd be too late for him to recover, this blow would be final. Obito had already judged how deep that neck fibers were. He could cut it.

So when his knife bit into the man's throat, he'd been prepared to be splashed with blood but found his weapon lodged and not gifting red.

"Hahahahahahah!" the villain laughed, arms and chest out in a deep shout of joy. "Ain't you a decent fucker?!"

Obito didn't wait for the villain's reactions, dislodging his knife in the half a second he needed to dodge the villain's grab at his torso, now upside down and face-to-face with the quirk user.

The villain's eyes shined with excitement before Obito's knife found the side of his mouth with a harsh twist of the quirkless's body.

But he wasn't done as his rotation ended with a kick at the knife's handle, sending it through the man's cheeks.

Black eyes met black and both narrowed.

Game on, bastard.

Ryuuko watched with wide eyes as her housemate took to the villain with a killer's intent.

Watching Obito dodging by a hair's length and counterattacking with controlled and precise kicks was an astounding sight to see… And then he'd gone for the villain's throat.

Ryukyu would be honest, she didn't know how to react to her friend's ability to immediately go for a kill shot. It was perfect, precise, and would have downed any regular person, maybe even a hero, but the villain's neck proved too thick.

So, even with the amazing acrobatics Obito employed, her stomach turned ice-cold as she remembered his words.

"When you see a shot, even if I'm dying, you take it and end the villain."

She'd… She'd never even considered taking a life before, not like this. Not when it was such a real possibility.

Oh, they had learned in UA, in their second years, you couldn't always stop a villain by just knocking them out.

Some of them had to be stopped at all costs.

And it seemed that Obito had the guts to reach for that conclusion.

Watching the news on the TV screen had two students at Aldera Junior High out of their seats.

"U-Uncle?!" Izuku swallowed as his quirkless relative went toe-to-toe with the villain. "W-What happened?!"

Beside him, wearing a look of disbelief so large was none other than the young Midoriya's friend, former bully, and rival.

Wide red eyes and spiky yellow hair shifted as Obito went in for the kill on the villain only to be thwarted.

"... Deku!" the green-haired boy jumped. "WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR UNCLE DOING?!"

"I-I don't know!" the boy said as he, too, stared in disbelief at the man he knew to be his uncle. "He… He was coming in for a few days, he couldn't have planned for this!"

"...?!" Katsuki Bakugou, informally known as 'Kacchan' by Izuku, stared as the quirkless man went for the villain's life."

Izuku swallowed as he watched on before a pair of individuals came as the cameras switched views.

"I-It's more heroes!" the moss head said in joy and relief.

Obito had held off the villain long enough for help to arrive! He'd done it!

And then both Katsuki and Izuku's hearts sank.

Watching the live feed, Nighteye, Centipeder, and Bubble Girl observed or gawked at what was happening.

"I-I didn't know sempai could fight like this?!" Kaoruko said. "Sir, did you know?"

"... Partially," the senior hero said. "Obito-kun divulged information to me about his abilties' sources."

Centipeder's eyes narrowed as Obito dodged in close proximity. "He knows how to keep his advantage," Bubble Girl's eyes went to him. "He's not letting the villain's long reach become a problem by staying in close. Notice, this man has to lower his muscle mass to reach inside, and when he does-"

"Obito-sempai goes in for the attack!" Bubble Girl said with a grin. "He always was super smart."

"Quite-" Nighteye made to say before his eyes widened. "NO!"

Either kill him or hold out for more heroes, those were the two options Obito had.

As for the first one, he wasn't making that much leeway, the villain's abilities were simple but that seemed to work in his favor, the man's quick ability to retract and increase his muscle fibers was something to be admired in a more upstanding person/hero.

The second option, on the other hand… Obito didn't turn but he heard the calls of more heroes coming towards them.

This was it, he'd won and the bastard knew it… But his grin never faded. No, in fact…

It grew wider.

"THIS IS AMAZING!" the blondie yelled. "Yes, you don't have a quirk for this, do ya?! This is pure skill! I love it!"

Obito breathed out a long, low, breath, knife brandished in front of him. "This game is over! Turn yourself in!"

"How about nah?!"

Obito knew something had gone wrong when the man had started rippling with more muscle than was safe to see.

'He's preparing for another attack!' And, this time, he was sure that it'd be far stronger than Obito was sure he could handle. 'Dodge-?!' his eyes widened as he turned to see a frozen Ryuuko.

FUCK!

He turned on a dime before running at the villain whose muscles had reached six times that of a normal human's arm in width.

"DIE!" Obito ran in close.

He'd die if that raised fist touched him in vital areas.

The villain's fist flew in close.

Nothing vital must be touched. If he was to end this without someone dying, he needed to kill the muscle villain in this go.

His left arm swung out towards the giant fist of muscle.

It'd break… No, rip off if it was impacted… But he didn't need it to stop the monstrous man's attack. Only direct it.

And so, the battle between the quirkless and the quirked villain ended with a wet smack.

There were screams of horror as even the heroes came to a screeching halt as something landed at their feet.

Wet, adult-sized, and a human body native.

A severed arm sat there at the water heroes' feet and they just stared before hearing the sound of a body falling.

Ryuuko fell to her knees as blood splattered over the road by her feet, eyes trembling at Obito's bloodied side. A large cratered trail of destruction to her right, bare inches away from her body entirely.

The quirkless man let out rapid huffs of breath as he stepped back, sliding his knife out the muscle villain's neck.

"Stay in hell," the quirkless brunette said as the villain hit the floor with a wet smack. "... Hff… Hff… Hff-"

He fell forward, eyes closing as he hit the floor, his arm tore away at the shoulder causing him to bleed large amounts of blood.

And so, the quirkless individual known as Obito Uchiha killed the Muscle villain, Muscular or, more infamously named, Goto Imasuji.

And that's a wrap on this chapter!

So, like I said, this isn't going to be the longest story, not by a long shot. I'm trying to wrap this up in less than thirteen chapters so you may notice the romance is a bit faster than my usual takes.

The two are adults, the idea of sex isn't new to either of them but the issue comes with their relationship being something different when they're living together.

What happens if there's falling out? What if they end up becoming more attached than either expected?

They're not kids, they know better, for the most part.

As for the latter half of this chapter… Yup, real dirty dancing here, and Muscular is D.E.A.D. Crazy changes aside, Obito now has notoriety. Once it gets out that this villain was ended by a quirkless man… well, you'll have to wait to find out.

Take it easy, guys.
