Scotty was running all the way back to his quarters, constantly thinking about the idea he had in his head, so he didn't forget it.

As he bolted around the corner, Scotty ran straight into someone. Knocking them over, along with himself.

"Ouch…" Scotty muttered as he rubbed his back, "Sorry Scotty, didn't mean to knock you over." Said a voice.

The CEO looked to see Kirk sitting on the floor in front of him, "No it was my fault Jim, wasn't looking where I was going."

Kirk slowly rose to his feet and help Scotty to his, "What's with all the running Scotty? You annoyed Bones again?"

Scotty chuckled, "Not this time Jim, I've just got something to do. Talk to you later." Kirk watched as his CEO darted off.

"What is he up to?" Kirk muttered to himself as he shook his head, before he walked off himself.

As Kirk turned the corner he almost bumped into Lexie, "Sorry Lexie, I was in a world of my own."

"It's alright Kirk, I was too." Lexie replied, "You still on shift?" Kirk questioned, Lexie nodded.

The two of them soon waved goodbye and went their separate ways.

As soon as he entered back into his quarters, Scotty set to work on creating Lexie's gift.

He already had everything he needed to make it in his quarters, well almost everything.

There was one thing which Scotty knew he would have to get someone else to get, or in this case some bot. AKA, Delta.

"Computer: Locate Lieutenant Delta." Scotty called, it still felt odd calling the little guy a 'Lieutenant' but he did deserve it.

The computer soon gave him an answer. "Lieutenant Delta is currently on the bridge."

Scotty didn't wait a single second, he quickly placed down the tools he was holding and hurried out of his room.

This time around, Scotty made sure to look where he was running. He didn't want to run into someone again.

Soon he arrived on the bridge and quickly located Delta, who was sat on the Navigation computer having a chat with Chekov.

He walked over, not wanting to look unprofessional while on the bridge and stood beside his young Russian friend.

"Hello Mr Scott, what brings you up to the bridge?" Chekov questioned, his accent slightly thicker than normal.

"Hello lad, I came up to get Delta. I need the wee mans help with something." Scotty replied, not wanting to give anything away.

Delta flew up from the computer and sat on Scotty's shoulder, "Sure thing Scotty, lead the way."

Scotty took Delta back to his quarters, "So, what do you need my help with?" Delta questioned confusedly.

It was then when he noticed the mess which was covering Scotty's desk, he was clearly working on something.

"What you working on?" "A Christmas present for Lexie." Scotty answered as he took a seat at his desk, while Delta landed on it.

Delta couldn't really tell what it was meant to be, but chose not to bother asking. He never questioned Scotty.

Mainly since he was a higher rank, but also due to the fact he liked to be surprised as to what he was making.

"And you need my help with it?" "In a way yes lad." Scotty answered, "In what way is that then?" Delta asked.

"Do you know if the lass has any photos of her parents and brother?" Scotty asked. Delta was a little confused.

"Yeah, she has one. It's in a frame on her desk, why do you ask?" Delta wasn't sure where this was going.

Scotty then opened one of the draws under the desk and pulled out a scanner.

"If I give you this scanner, would you please scan that photo so I can replicate it?" Scotty asked, hoping Delta would say yes.

Despite being confused as to why he wanted the photo in the first place Delta nodded, "Sure Scotty, I'll do that for you."

Scotty was over the moon, "Thanks lad, but don't let Lexie see ya. This is a surprise." Delta once again nodded.

"I won't." Scotty handed the scanner to Delta, who was thankful it was light and not heavy.

Delta soon flew out of the room, leaving Scotty to continue building his gift. Whatever it was.

There wasn't much Scotty could do until Delta came back, but he would still work on a bit of it.

Scotty just hoped that this all worked out the way he had planned in his head, otherwise he would be really annoyed.
