Now, this is going to be one ride. I am sorry that I took some time off but I was collecting my thoughts and working on some other stuff.
I'm glad to see you guys around but don't expect this to be the same thing as a rewrite of Truth be Told. This is going to be more a fic of a what-if prequel. Keep that in mind.
I don't endorse the stuff you are going to read and that's why if you are reading this on FanFiction, there is no smut in here. The smut can be found on AO3. Just keep that in your head.
The ideas here, some come from the requester.
Gotta thank Marlo for drawing this picture. He did a good job on it.

Tatsuya stood before the two goddesses, ready for the attack. Tsukuyomi's eyes shined at the human being standing before them. Gods were more powerful than human beings. They could easily obliterate this fool, standing before them.
They should give him a chance to turn away.
"Human being, leave these realms." Tatsuya just looked at them.
They were gods. He had seen scarier stuff. Lifting his sword, he simply put it on his shoulders while his dark eyes aimed at Tsukuyomi and he gave Amaterasu a small smirk. Not as patient as the other, she was the first to attack.
Her godly aura shined at him and Tsukuyomi, knowing better than to stall and anger the other goddess followed suit. Tatsuya could see how their energy formed. Gods weren't so different from his ilk after all.
Amaterasu had hoped that by shining her aura, it would be enough to deter Tatsuya who simply stood back and enjoyed the aura. He wasn't budging on anything.
His own father, the idiots that he killed were more formidable foes.
"Is that the best you can do? I expected more from you." That was enough to unleash their energy to a higher capacity. Fire aimed at him. A scorching heat went his way while they intended to make sure nothing remained of him.
Swiping the sword from his shoulders, Tatsuya cut through the flames as he unleashed his own Reiki. No reason for him to unleash the full energy yet. He could see and wait until he would wake his wolf. He smirked as the two ladies realized that they were fighting something else than a normal human being.
His own energy came from the sword and it was cut through. They could feel the blast coming through. Hit by Tatsuya, they felt blood coming through. Unlike his own, it wasn't red but it had a color of gold. Tatsuya quickly closed the gap between them. It wouldn't be easy but things never were for the youngest Orimura.
He would fight them from close by.
Slamming his hands in their guts, they were staggered backwards, slamming into a wall. Tatsuya growled. He might have cursed but his harsh life paid off.
Amaterasu glared at Tatsuya who stood by, waiting for them. Tatsuya had heard the legends of the gods. A sword that came from Japan. The sword of Kusanagi. It would be enough to destroy most humans but Tatsuya had his own tricks.
He wasn't surprised by Tsukuyomi. A fan wouldn't be enough for most fights but Tatsuya fought with Matthijs. The man used two tiny knives for protection and yet, he managed to keep Tatsuya at bay. Using their magic, they raced at Tatsuya who stood back.
They would use their magic. That would show the mortal.
Tatsuya waited and saw they were done playing games. Fast they were to anger. Their bodies were surrounded by energy while he just waited. It grew and the realms shook. He was sure that they were secluded as he knew that it would have caused a major attraction.
When the energy grew, he let his own come out. Tatsuya had an interesting form of Reiki. Jaaku Reiki was something he inherited from his father. Later, it evolved into an Akuma Reiki. It was what shielded him from the horrors in that godforsaken hole his family put him.
Yet, it wasn't his preferred form but for now, it would do.
Amaterasu gave him the most trouble when her blade connected with his. He admitted. From close by, she was beautiful. She really reminded him of Miyuki. His eyes blinked and he found something entering. Ignoring it would be at his peril. Moving back, his eyes landed on Tsukuyomi. She was clearly invested.
Their own magic raced at him while Tatsuya raced around, avoiding the attacks. He could use his own long-range attacks but never found them to his liking. Running through, he avoided the attacks. Yet, despite their bombardment, Tatsuya found that it was easy enough. Was it this easy to fight?
Tsukuyomi began to look at their visitor as some sort of entertainment. She had seen this before? But where?
Amaterasu wanted this fool obliterated but found it harder to do. When a huge explosion went off, Tatsuya came out of the blast while he used the rubble to get again closer. This time, he focused on Tsukuyomi who moved away.
"Seems you are used to fighting?" Her fan blocked the sword. Tatsuya didn't want to kill her. But why was he here really?
"I have spent two decades next to one whose weapons are the same size as yours." Amaterasu felt that she got rusty as the amount of energy that he released against her sword was enough to stop her. Backhanded, she flew back while the man began to look more like a Demon.
Yet, she couldn't detect that he was. It wasn't a human who sold his soul. No, this aura. It was all from him. Nothing was foreign from him. This all came from Tatsuya himself. So where did he learn this?
Not that she had much time to think as Tatsuya kicked Tsukuyomi away and raced right at her. The Sun goddess blocked the sword from him.
"It appears that you have much to learn, child." He calmly smirked and swatted her away. Amaterasu could feel the power behind him. Fragments of her memory began to think. She had seen this kind of power before. When Tsukuyomi released her full power, Tatsuya was blown away by the ferocity. He smirked as they hadn't wounded him yet.
When they felt an increase, he had to pack his sword as he had to run from the attacks. The full power was there of them. He didn't expect that they would use their fullest strength. He smirked as it was close to what he wanted them to reach.
"Surrender, human. And we'll make it quick." Amaterasu's voice was intoxicating.
He had experienced those powers before and he just sighed. The power was there and it would have caused earthquakes and disasters. Yet, he remained calm.
Tatsuya remembered a time with Hubertus, the grandfather of Matthijs. The power of them wasn't even close to what he did. Ragnarok was it often called. It was what would cause the destruction. It looked like he remembered what it really meant.
Tatsuya stood back with a relaxed grin on his face. They were close and he just stood back as they unleashed everything on him. The amount of energy should be felt in parts of the human realm and hell. With a blinding light that was surrounded, Tatsuya wasn't even sure how far the energy went.
He smirked as he could see how far they went. He stood back and let them bury him in it. Before they could, Tatsuya used something else.
When their energy came close, Tatsuya stood back and it appeared that huge dust of clouds swept over him.
Eventually, the two stood back as it was clear their energy surrounded him.
"It appears that we have succeeded." Amaterasu was the first to speak.
"Indeed, although I would say this was overkill." But they then saw that the energy moved and out climbed their assailant. Pushing the boulders away, Tatsuya was surrounded by dark energy.
"Impossible." Tsukuyomi said as she witnessed that Tatsuya appeared.
"Well, that was something. You women don't disappoint." Amaterasu blinked as she saw Tatsuya until her mind caught up.
This was one of the children of the prophecy.
"Hati." Not knowing what the other goddess was talking about, Tsukuyomi looked back at Tatsuya.
"I don't know what you are but I am sending you to the hole you came from."
"Tsukuyomi, don't. that is." Before Amaterasu could finish her warning, the goddess had already reached Tatsuya. Her fan didn't even get to him as Tatsuya just flipped him over his shoulder. She was thrown away by the man and landed away.
"It appears you are still alive. Tatsuya Orimura." Putting the sword on his shoulders, Tatsuya looked at the goddess.
"Should I be honored or concerned that you know my name? How do you my name?" The woman smiled at him.
"When the youngest of the two generations meet, grandsons of the wolves, the end will be there. United as one, the world will see a new awakening."
Tatsuya remembered that line. It was something that he and Matthijs upheld.
A prophecy that their grandsons would end this.
"So?" Tatsuya asked and Amaterasu smiled at him.
"We know of you and Matthijs. Your bond with him is the shift we have experienced. That is why we decided to go against it." Raising an eyebrow, Tatsuya looked at the goddess.
"What do you mean? Unless you." A cruel smile found a way on her face.
"Indeed. Like all gods, we decided that the best way to end it was to cause the demise of your sister and the rest of your family." Tatsuya's mouth dropped open. It closed as he tried to hold back the fury. The pieces all fell together.
"You made me kill my sister!" He shouted as Amaterasu hit him with another wave. Tatsuya just stood back and let blocked the attack with his energy.
His Akuma Reiki was taking now the design of an Okami Reiki. The patriarch understood what Matthijs meant with the wolf.
"Indeed and we hoped that when you were done, you would either take your own miserable life. That or that other wolf would kill you!"
Tatsuya rarely showed emotion but that time, when he found out that other, higher beings could just decide what life meant for the humans below them.
For them, their lives mean nothing. Biting through the tears, Tatsuya glared at the goddess and let his wolf howl. Amaterasu's mouth dropped open as she felt the energy that Tatsuya emitted. Hati howled and cried when he found out what caused the demise of his mate.
On the human realm.
Matthijs looked aside and sat back with an expression to the sky.
"Looks like you were really hit." He said while he continued on the ribs served for him.
"Matthijs-sama. Is something wrong?" One of the attendants asked. The man smiled and shook his head.
"No, I'm just feeling. Tats really got hit bad I would say." One of the warriors bowed to him. "Forgive my rudeness but you and our lord seemed to have a weird relationship." The Sun wolf shrugged when he heard that.
"Not abnormal." Looking over the guard, Matthijs guessed he was in his early teens.
"You are a young lad. I guess most of you don't know what happened years ago." Finishing another rib, Matthijs sighed and leant his head back.
"Tatsuya was banished to the pacific ocean when he was merely a boy. A godforsaken hell hole. My grandad, my old man, and yours truly, we went in there to save him."
"Why?"
"We, Orlejov's, have a hobby that would most consider suicidal. We like to piss on the Orimura's shoes." The servants didn't know what that expression really meant but they could guess.
"So how do you survive?"
"They can't kill us. Grans managed to keep the guardian busy while I and my dad went for Tats. I got to him first. He came along." Getting more serious, Matthijs began to think back to those days.
"For the next two decades, Tatsuya lived with us. In the end, his Reiki mixed with my Nanites. Our energy took the form of wolves. We quickly got the nickname Wolf Brothers." The servants all listened to him.
"Wolf Brothers?"
"Yep. Sköll and Hati. Because of my light energy, I became Sköll. He became Hati. Those were the sons of Fenrir in Norse mythology. A joke on us but it got more serious."
Looking to the sky, the Flemish man was now a face of stone.
"When the youngest of the two generations meet, grandsons of the wolves, the end will be there. United as one, the world will see a new awakening. Our grandsons would see a change. Youngest of the bunch. Tatsuya wanted to see it through. Guess that something changed."
Matthijs didn't believe that he would just kill Miyuki for the pure sake of it. Tatsuya killed. Oh, Matthijs knew that very well.
He was as much a killer as his brother.
But even if they could, there were times where it would work, they didn't. Matthijs thought that his grandfather and father got mad to let Tatsuya in the house yet he never killed them. His father lived and if Hubertus died, it was due to natural causes.
Same with Miyuki. And when he felt the energy, he was sure that Tatsuya found something out. He sighed.
"The end of the age is a-coming."
Back at Tatsuya.
Amaterasu had faced many beings. But none were like Tatsuya who was sheeting with rage. His wolf growled at the woman. She stood ready as Tatsuya launched himself at her. The pressure of his sword clashed at hers. She could feel how Tatsuya fought. Using her own energy, Amaterasu felt how Tatsuya fought. Her own divine energy clashed at his. She struggled against the sword as Tatsuya aimed her down.
In the blink of an eye, he blocked the fan of Tsukuyomi. Glaring over his shoulder, the goddess gulped. It was clear, more than clear how furious, ruthless, and mad Tatsuya was. Kicking her away, Hati bit at her.
Her own energy protected her from large damage. Without even looking up, Tatsuya protected himself from the attack of Amaterasu. The sword of the goddess found a way to his own.
"Your sword should be broken!" The wolf shrugged and she felt how the man easily threw her over the shoulder.
For the first time, in a long, long time, they could feel fear.
Tsukuyomi thought the other gods were exaggerating about the legends of the two Wolf Brothers. Yet, she found that they didn't lie. Using a blast of energy, Tatsuya easily avoided that blast. It was like he disappeared but his body came to be right before her.
The goddess couldn't move as Tatsuya grabbed her by the shoulder and threw her down. He was right after her and like a hawk, she felt how he went right after her. The blow was incredible. She was strong.
Of course, she was. Tsukuyomi was a goddess after all. His senses tingled and he moved out of the way. The other attack of Amaterasu was narrowly avoided by him. By a sort of selflessness, he also moved Tsukuyomi out of the way.
Amaterasu's sun energy was aimed at him again but his Hati energy stopped her. Tatsuya smirked as he looked at the woman. Her eyes were flaming with energy. He didn't mind the fight. He went right back at her. He raced back at her as she had to absorb the several hash strikes from Tatsuya. It became clear how much in control he was.
"I expected more from higher beings. Is this the best you can do?" He taunted Amaterasu who would have destroyed anyone foolish enough to talk to her like that. Yet, Tatsuya was still breathing. Using a different technique, she loaded energy into her katana. Tatsuya felt the blade simmering under her grasp. He simply stood back and let the energy fill it. He smirked as he knew what would happen.
Breaking off the attack, Tatsuya flew back. Her sword was now ablaze. Unleashing an attack filled with the purest light, Tatsuya just stood back and let it hit him. He calmly smiled as his wolf took the attack. He had to stand back but grinned back at her.
Amaterasu witnessed her destruction yet, she didn't kill Tatsuya. He had taken the attack.
"There's a story relived. Between magic and myth." The patriarch just simply said while the goddess glared at him.
Before he could attack, a dark attack, came from behind him. Turning his head, he saw that Tsukuyomi had risen again.
"Tatsuya Orimura. I can say that you don't disappoint." He shrugged while his wolf continued to snarl and grow.
"Son of the Orimura, raised by the Orlejov. I had better hopes for you." She saw how Tatsuya just stood ready, waiting for the two.
"So you do know of us?"
She felt some pity for the man standing for them. A being that had known suffering and pain, yet, they continued.
"We have seen, we have witnessed. We didn't stop because we felt it wasn't our justice." Tatsuya gripped his sword tighter.
"Yet, you felt confident to make me kill my sister?" The last Orimura asked while his energy began to swirl.
"We hoped that it would make an end to it. Can't you see that your lineage, your life is nothing but the complete destruction of all mankind?"
The unleashed energy aimed at her was more meant as a warning than a real attack.
"I don't care for humanity. It would be the job of Matthijs to make me care. He let Miyuki walk. It was not your right to intervene to save my life. It was not your right to intervene to ruin it."
Amaterasu just smiled at him. In a mocking, revolting way.
"We do. We are gods. We are better." The words just let her mouth as Tatsuya was back at her. She had just time to block it badly as she felt the full fury of the Orimura leader. The man's face was hidden by his hair as he was boiling with fury.
"You really think so? You are fucking wrong!" She felt another blast and was nearly thrown away. Tatsuya growled and went right after her. Again, Amaterasu felt one blast, nearly tearing her apart. She could count her lucky stars that her sword was unbreakable.
Amaterasu didn't doubt that it would have caused the destruction of the sword while Tsukuyomi found herself looking at the swirl of power. The wolf was now gone by and in the middle of the energy was Tatsuya standing.
It was the darkest of black, it was nearly impossible to distinguish the form of the youngest Orimura. They would say that they have done the worst.
The wolf howled and cried. In all parts of the globe and in all parts of heaven, hell, and everything in between, everyone would feel a chill down their spine and their neck hair standing up. Glaring at Amaterasu, she could feel how the eyes of Tatsuya shined at her.
She had no idea that this man, this being, could be this horrifying. She prepared her sword. There was no way she would lose to him. Using her own massive power, the light was bright while she signaled to Tsukuyomi to use her own powers.
The other goddess was more horrified by Tatsuya. Tsukuyomi had no idea that a man could reach this level. Before that she could do anything, Tatsuya had swept her away by a strong amount of Reiki. She could feel the sickening power.
Tatsuya smirked. He knew that it would take time before the goddess was able to deal with it. Amaterasu wasn't sure what she could do now but when the two swords clashed, they went off and again.
She had more spirit than the other goddess. That was a good thing. If she was just a wilting lily, Tatsuya would find her boring. When they broke off, they left wakes of destruction. It was a desolate place where they were fighting but Tatsuya could see how much they had already destroyed.
Yet, her light shined and it broke through his dark Reiki. When they clashed, she had an even more divine stature. Which was saying something about his own as he was more going to the darker side. Her sword was trying to get through but found that his sickness was getting at her sword. Flinging herself back at the rock, she avoided the sword of Tatsuya.
The Orimura's sword was also infused by his Reiki. It was like the rock exploded. Amaterasu admitted. This man was very interesting.
If he wasn't so rude and if he wasn't a human, she could be endeared by him. The sun goddess shook her head when she felt another attack. This time, she could fully block it and found herself being thrown away by Tatsuya. Jamming her sword in the ground, she quickly breathed some words. It was like a firestorm housed in the sword.
It only did so much for the darkness where Tatsuya was in. The man smirked as he felt how much power she had. Not enough to hold him back.
Tatsuya flung Amaterasu back while he decided this was enough. Both had proven themselves. In a blinding fashion, their swords clashed for one last time.
It was hers that landed on the floor while Tatsuya aimed his sword at her throat.
"I can't believe a human has beaten me." The goddess muttered while Tatsuya glared at her.
"I am not a normal human." Yet defiant, Amaterasu glared at him.
"So what do you want? Revenge on us? On all gods? For killing your sister?" Tatsuya gave the woman a sinister smirk.
"If I wanted that, you think both of you would be alive? No. Miyuki was a woman that could be called a goddess. With her gone, I need replacements. Both you and Tsukuyomi have proven themselves worthy enough."
Amaterasu didn't blink but she could feel the earth shifting away underneath her feet. That was why Tatsuya came here?
"You aren't saying?"
"Oh, that is exactly what I am saying." With that said, Tatsuya swept the goddess of her feet and he used his Reiki to take Tsukuyomi along as well.
And that was all that was left of the realm. That and a huge amount of destruction in their wake. But his actions didn't go unnoticed.
Back at the castle.
Matthijs finished his next plate of ribs. The castle had seen their entire storage gone and he was just about to ask for a second order as a portal opened and there stood Tatsuya with his prizes. Tsukuyomi was unconscious but Amaterasu was awake. She looked mortified and was even more shocked to see Sköll standing.
Getting from his chair, Matthijs walked to Tatsuya. Looking over the women, Matthijs guessed that Tatsuya had made a choice of them.
"Looks like you really are something." Raising an eyebrow, the Orimura patriarch shared a look with his Orlejov counterpart.
"Care to enlighten me?"
"Did you think that I missed how they look similar to Miyuki?" Clasping a hand on the shoulder, Tatsuya's look softened as he looked in the eyes of the other person besides his sister that he would say he loved.
"No, I don't think so." Matthijs also softened when he gave Tatsuya a sad smile.
"I loved too once. Don't you ever forget that? Any reason why you howled this much, Tatsuya?" Glaring over the goddesses, Amaterasu wanted to shout at Matthijs.
"Do you have any idea what this man wants to do to us?" Matthijs looked over to Amaterasu who he just shrugged at.
"Yep. Things I am going to do for my wife when I get home. Might not say that I approve but that is just me. And given how you are looking at me, Tats." Crossing his arms, the two wolves shared a look.
"It appears that our prophecy is the reason for concern for beings that call us their gods." Matthijs put his two hands on the shoulder of Tatsuya.
"And that is why you killed your sister. Well, in that case, don't let me keep you waiting." Making a skateboard, Tatsuya offered Matthijs a hand. Shaking it, Matthijs flew off, condemning the two goddesses.
Well, they would be kept in relatively good places. They wouldn't be used as human toilets but mainly to produce offspring. He flew off while Tatsuya dragged his new wives to his room. Chaining Tsukuyomi to a pillar, he grabbed Amaterasu who looked fearful to the man.
There was no getting out of this and out flew their last hope.
The pantheons over the globe had witnessed the power. Zeus, Hera, and Athena had heard from their Japanese counterparts of what Tatsuya left in their wake.
The upper God of the Old Greeks laid his head back. They would never back down from a challenge but they understood that aggravating the wolves would bring more harm than good. He needed to think.
And maybe ask the help of the others.
Hera was only looking horrified at what Tatsuya had done. They weren't smart by making him go berserk. They had assumed that man followed the same path as God but their fates weren't set in stone. Or maybe Tatsuya could change his path.
Athena wasn't sure where she stood in this regard. Wisdom needed time and the young man had proved himself.
On the Norse side, Odin woke up with a hangover. While there would be an excellent joke in this regard, the Allfather wasn't laughing. Not that many knew of the Old Gods so it was no surprise that Matthijs and Tatsuya got their nicknames.
And now, one of them had taken two goddesses from their home. Given what they had done to his family, there was no question in asking what Tatsuya would do to them. With the human realm sealed off, Tatsuya changed his path.
The prophecy had one more end. Only when one died, the other would follow.
Freya glared at her husband. She knew that it was a moronic plan to carry out. It wasn't the first time that he tried to break off two siblings in love and it didn't end well last time. At least this time, the end was now done.
With a quick notion, she made it clear to one Valkyrie to go after the other wolf. Sköll was way more accommodating but in the end, Matthijs loyalty, brotherhood, and love lied at Tatsuya's end.
At the castle, Tatsuya was preparing Amaterasu for her new fate.
This is where there are two versions of this chapter. This is the version without the smut. Just keep that when you are reading this chapter. So here we cut off the chapter. I hope you guys liked this. Either see you on AO3 or at the next chapter.
The smut wasn't my idea but the requester. Just know that.
Saluut.
