Author's Note: My goodness, you guys are nuts. Seeing al those favorite and follows for just like a prelude chapter for this story is kinda crazy for me. Not a lot happened last chapter, but I appreciate you guys for the support nonetheless. Trust me guys, I see...everything you send me. Just gotta give me some time and just let me do my thing. Deep in the unknown spaces of the galaxy, there is a large circular spaceship flying around in the atmosphere. Master Hand, Crazy Hand, Palutena, Shulk, Rosalina, and Sothis teleport to inside the spaceship. The room that they were in had one large circular table with seats placed around it. Each chair was already occupied by the other Gods and Goddess that are here for the meeting.
Palutena recognized a lot of the faces that were in this meeting, and she was far from happy to see the other Gods in attendance. Especially two deities in particular. There was her father Zeus, the God of Thunder and the king of the Gods of Mount Olympus. Sitting beside him was his wife and Palutena's stepmother Hera, the Goddess of Marriage and Birth.
Also in attendance is Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love. Poseidon, the God of the Sea. Artemis, the Goddess of Hunting along with her brother Apollo, the God of Sun and Light. Ares, the God of War. Dionysus, the God of Wine. Hermes, the divine trickster.
Some new faces that were joining this meeting included Viridi, Hades, Persephone, and Dyntos, the God of Forge. There was also the Sun Goddess, Amaterasu and the two Goddesses hailing from the world of Askr. Loki, the Goddess of Mischief and her sister Thorr, who is their world's Goddess of War.
Palutena snarls at Zeus and Hera. "What the hell are THEY doing here?" She questioned Master Hand quietly.
"They were here for the last meeting, so they must attend this one as well. If I had informed you before that your parents would be here, you have refused to attend. Now you cannot turn back." Master Hand told Palutena in a stern voice.
Palutena sucks her teeth. "Bastard." She said with venom in her voice.
Shulk leans over to Crazy Hand. "Those are Palutena's parents?" He asks, pointing over to Zeus and Hera.
"That's right. The God of Thunder and the Goddess of Marriage. Actually, all of the Gods of Olympus are related by blood in some shape or form. It's a very...complicated family tree. Let's leave it at that." Crazy Hand says.
Sothis kept her eyes focused on Zeus and Hera. She then turns her attention to Palutena who was still angrily glaring at her parents.
"I'm sensing a lot of hostile energy in this room. I remember how Palutena abruptly left the tea time when I asked about her father. Now that I'm here, I may finally get the answers I was looking for." The Progenitor God says to herself.
"Are you all going to continue speaking amongst yourselves or are we going to get this meeting started?" Zeus asks rudely.
"My apologies Zeus. Let us commence with the meeting." Master Hand says.
Palutena, Shulk, Rosalina, and Sothis take a seat at the table while Master Hand and Crazy Hand stayed floating behind the smashers. Shulk couldn't help but look in awe at the Olympian Gods. He was already acquainted with Hades and Persephone. Seeing Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Artemis, Ares, Apollo, Hermes, Aphrodite, and Dionysus made the blond realize that there was still so much more for him to learn about the multiverse. It excited him, but he felt weary. Especially with the daggers Palutena was staring at Zeus and Hera.
Shulk leans over to Rosalina. "Isn't it odd seeing Palutena so tense like this Rosa?" He asks. The Space Goddess simply ignored Shulk. She had her attention focused elsewhere. "Rosa? Rosa!" The blond continued to call. He looks over to see Rosalina staring at Amaterasu in wonder.
"This dog. Why is this dog here? Is it a God as well? Interesting." The Space Goddess says to herself.
"Did you hear anything I was saying to you Rosa?" Shulk asks.
Rosalina turns to Shulk. "Hmm? Were you asking something Shulk?" She asks, tilting her head.
Shulk sighs. He shakes his head. "Nevermind." He groaned.
"So, who called for this meeting anyways?" Viridi asks.
Artemis raises her hand. "It was me."
"And then I let everyone else in Olympus know about it!" Hermes states.
Dyntos waves over to Palutena. "Palutena, it's been awhile. How have you been? Has Pit been taking care of my Three Sacred Treasures?"
"Oh yeah. Just fine. What's not fine is that I'm stuck in this family reunion that I didn't want any part of." Palutena glared at Zeus.
"It is good to see you too Athena," Zeus says sarcastically. "I see you've been enjoying flaunting your wins in Smash. Are you having fun?"
"I was having fun. I'm surprised you've paid attention to me since you barely like to acknowledge your children to begin with." The Goddess of Light snarks.
"Ain't that the truth." Apollo muttered quietly to himself.
"Now Athena, that's no way to speak to your father. You haven't seen him in such a long time. You should show more respect to Zeus." Hera says.
"Pipe down you hag!" Palutena barked. "You are NOT my mother so don't think you can try and throw orders at me! You're just another poor sap that Zeus will eventually get tired of and forget in the next millennium."
"Awkward…" Dionysus says. He then picks up his chalice and starts drinking his wine.
Sothis turns to Crazy Hand. "That woman isn't Palutena's birth mother? Then where is she." She asked.
"Oh, Zeus ate her." Crazy Hand bluntly answered.
Sothis and Shulk's eyes widened at Crazy Hand's bizarre answer.
"I-I beg your pardon? Did I hear that correctly?" Shulk asks. He was hoping that this was just some sick joke that Crazy Hand was telling.
"It sounds bizarre, but it's true. Zeus just…ate his wife because he was afraid that his child would be stronger than him. That's it." Crazy Hand says.
"I-Is this really something we should be involved in? This does not seem like our business." Sothis says.
"Well if there's something potentially threatening the multiverse, we gotta do something about it. No matter how messed up relationships are between us Gods." Master Hand stated.
"Honestly, I'm with Palutena on this one. I don't want to be involved with any of you here. Especially you, brother." Hades glares at Zeus.
"Believe me, I'm not happy to see you either Hades." Zeus replies. Zeus turns his attention to Persephone and grins at her. "How are you doing Persephone?"
Chills went down Persephone's spine when Zeus spoke to her. She slowly cowers behind Hades. She could sense there was something sinister about Zeus. Hades sees how shaken up his wife is. He wasn't sure what it was, but it must have had to do with Zeus.
Viridi groans in annoyance. "Can we please get to the topic at hand already?! I get it, we hate each other. I don't want to be in this room with you idiots either. But we were called here for something that can be a threat to all of us. So spill it Artemis, what do you want?"
"Alright. I won't waste any more time then," Artemis starts. "There have been reports and sightings of two unfamiliar entities around the multiverse. All we've been told by people is that they've seen rays of light and skies shrouded in darkness."
"A little generic sounding, don't you think? Doesn't help our case of what these beings are supposed to look like." Hades comments.
"Although, a being of light causing problems is unheard of. Light is usually associated with good and purity. What would be the issue?" Shulk asks.
"It becomes an issue when entire worlds are being erased." Apollo answered bluntly.
"Hey, Space Woman!" Ares called to Rosalina. "You create new worlds and planets do you not? How come you haven't been doing anything about it?"
Rosalina shakes her head. "I do not create new planets. It is my children who become new planets. While I am the protector of the galaxy, my power does not extend to multiple universes not connected in the Smash Realm." She clarifies.
"Everyone has their limits. Even us Gods." Dionysus comments.
"You're not much of a fighter either," Zeus chimed in. "I can tell. How did such a task be granted to someone like you? If you are not capable of even protecting yourself, what makes you think you can protect others? I don't think you even deserve the powers granted to you." He stated harshly.
"It is not in your place to make judgement of those you know absolutely nothing about!" Sothis interjected.
Shulk nods in agreement. "Rosalina may not be a fighter, but the Smash Realm would be in complete turmoil if it wasn't for her power to create a new galaxy! It is her will to protect others that keep her going, not her strength."
Rosalina smiles at her friends defending her. She puts her hand up. "There's no need to argue with him, you two. But I thank you for standing by me. It is true that I am not much of a fighter. But it does not stop me from my duty as being the protector of the galaxy." She says.
"Don't waste your breath on my father," Palutena insisted. "You can say whatever you want to him, but he does not care. Not like he ever cared about what others think." She glared at her Zeus.
"I don't. No words are more important than mine." Zeus replied.
"Can we PLEASE get back on topic?!" Artemis yelled in frustration. She sighs and turns her attention to Shulk. "God of Fate, you mentioned the Smash Realm being in danger. There is an answer for that."
"Remember that angel we tasked you to mentor, Palutena?" Apollo asks.
"You're referring to that creep Rinkushu," Palutena answered. "The angel from Paradiso who took Corrin's body in another timeline and tried to murder all of humanity. One of the few annoyances I've ran into that actually left an impact."
"But you guys dealt with him and his other self. Why bring it up now?" Viridi questioned.
"Have you ever wondered how he was able to switch bodies with that mortal?" Apollo poses the question.
Rosalina, Palutena, and Shulk look upon each other. Neither Bayonetta, Corrin, or Cloud went into detail about how Rinkushu was able to take Corrin's body. To Bayonetta's knowledge, no angel of Paradiso was capable of such an ability.
Sothis comes to a conclusion. "Are you suggesting that one of those entities granted him such a power?" She asked.
Artemis nods. "Correct."
"Well it did not appear when that angel and the Corrin doppelganger came to the Smash Realm to kill all the humans." Rosalina mentions.
"Those kids coming to our timeline saved us more than we thought." Palutena thought to herself.
"We have had two other strange occurrences in the Smash Realm. Dracula and Galleom were revived and wreaked havoc. The smashers were able to handle them both, but they both disappeared due to strange occurrences." Master Hand says.
"Princess Daisy told me that Dracula disappeared because of some being that was a dark eye that took him and his entire castle through a dark portal. Then Pit said that pairs of wings came in and enveloped Galleom in a ray of light to take him away." Crazy Hand added.
"But Mega Man told us that it was Dr. Wily that rebuilt Galleom." Palutena mentions.
"He may be correct about that, but there shouldn't have been any remains of Galleom's body parts for Dr. Wily to rebuild him after the Subspace was destroyed," Master Hand clarifies. "We have a problem on our hands."
"Yes. Beings that can bend time and space and erase other worlds. That's something we can't just let roam free." Aphrodite says.
"Well why not?" Loki spoke up. All the Gods in the room turned their attention to the Goddess of Mischief. "I find it pretty amusing. Hearing what these beings are capable of only fills me with intrigue. I've caused my fair share of mischief in Askr by manipulating others with my shape shifting. But to cause havoc through time and others realms? What I wouldn't give for such a privilege."
"This is a universe wide threat that we're dealing with here. I don't find amusing Loki." Apollo says sternly.
Loki shrugs. "Well I don't really care what you think. Opinions are subjective after all." She grinned.
"Always the one to cause trouble." Thorr mumbles as she rolls her eyes.
"Come now sister. You can be annoyed at me all you want, but you love to cause a little mischief yourself. You like to participate in my games and you love to act in wars." Loki winked.
"Why did we invite this woman here again?" Hades questioned in an annoyed tone.
"Well she is a Goddess in another realm. Had to let her in on it." Hermes answers.
"So what are we going to do about these entities? If they're capable of destroying the world, then that means nature is in danger! So we have to do something!" Viridi stated.
Zeus raises an eyebrow. "We?" He then starts to laugh loudly. "We." He continued to laugh. Nobody else except Loki was impressed by the joke.
"Are you just going to allow these two beings to roam around and erase more worlds?!" Persephone spoke up.
"This is a problem that doesn't directly affect me," Zeus points to himself. "So I don't really have to do anything about it. Master Hand, you have four Gods with you and a bunch of other supernatural mortals. You can handle those beings yourself." The God of Thunder waved off.
"The laziness runs in the family. Now I can see where Palutena gets it from." Shulk says to himself.
"You are absolutely terrible!" Sothis yells in frustration. "The entire universe is in danger and you want to choose to sit on your ass and do nothing?! What if it was YOUR realm that was in danger?!"
"That's the thing. "If" it was in danger. But Olympus is not in danger. So I don't have to do anything." Zeus leans back in his chair and shrugs. "Are we finished here?" He asked rudely.
"And you wonder why everyone in the family hates you. Except for your air headed wife I suppose." Hades comments.
Hera gasps in disgust. "How dare you speak to me in such a way? Don't talk about me when you have a deadweight standing right next to you!" She pointed over to Persephone.
The room suddenly fell silent. Everyone nervously looked at each other as flames started to flare around Hades. The God of the Dead growled in anger. There was a sacred unwritten rule amongst the Gods of Olympus. It was to NEVER disrespect or hurt Persephone in front of her husband.
"Oh boy, here we go again." Viridi groaned.
Thorr stands up from her seat. "I'll be taking my leave. This isn't my business anymore."
"Aww." Loki pouted. "Don't wanna stick around and see the fallout? Alright, fine. I'll tag along with you sister. Toodles everybody." The Goddess of Mischief waved goodbye.
Loki and Thorr teleport out of the room.
"Was there any reason to invite those two to our meeting to begin with?" Ares questioned.
"Hey, they were Goddess." Hermes shrugged.
Dionysus takes a sip of his wine. "Now, time to continue the usual family drama."
Hades slams his fist on the desk and points to Hera. "You will not disrespect MY queen! She's beautiful, perfect! Ten times the woman you will ever be!" The King of the Underworld wrapped his arm around his wife. "No one will compare to Persephone!"
"Hades, you always do this. There's no need to go overboard." Persephone tells him.
"Yell at me all you want Hades, it really doesn't matter. Zeus will always be the better man than you at the end of the day. Also, he has never lost to some illiterate twink and got his body destroyed." Hera grinned.
"Speaking of which," Zeus turns to Palutena. "Still have that stupid angel working as your slave, my daughter?"
"Pit is not my slave." Palutena sneered.
Shulk raises his hand to interject. "Well, actually-"
"Hush!" Sothis interrupted. "This is not your business Shulk. Stay out of things that have no concern to you."
"Don't tell me you actually care for that boy now? He's just some random nobody." Hera comments.
"Pit saved my life and all of Skyworld!" Palutena yelled in anger.
"He got lucky. I fed that bullshit of being the only one strong enough to save you and expected him to die." Zeus stated.
"And he didn't. Pit cared enough about me that he risked his life to go into the Underworld and save my life! Unlike my useless father who just sat on his ass and didn't do anything." Palutena spat.
"You're alive now aren't you? So everything worked out. Now are we done here? All of you are giving me a headache."
"The feeling is mutual, brother." Hades replied.
"You're an asshole Hades!" Viridi insulted.
"But I'm still the superior God." Zeus grinned.
"Yes, you are darling." Hera says, giving a kiss to her husband.
"Gag." Palutena says, pointing at her tongue with a disgusted look on her.
Master Hand sighs. "I know I shouldn't have expected things to go smoothly, but sometimes I wish things went my way."
"You had a little too much faith from a family with such an unstable relationship." Crazy Hand says.
"Such an awful person…" Rosalina commented silently.
"Palutena, I apologize that you have this sorry excuse for a man as your father. I may not condone your attitude, but I can see why you didn't want to talk about him during our tea time." Sothis says.
Palutena waves off Sothis. "Your apology isn't necessary. But at least you know why I never bother to talk about my family. I was actually in a good mood reconnecting with Pittoo, but now it's gone again." She turns to Master Hand. "Can we leave now? I'm going to beg Ganondorf for some loving to put me in a good mood again."
Zeus' ears perk up at the name Palutena mentioned. His confident grin suddenly turned into an expression of shock and disgust. "Wait a minute. Did you say, Ganondorf?! As in that disgusting boar?! The King of Evil?!" He questioned his daughter, raising his voice after each question.
Normally, Palutena would have walked away due to her father's incompetence. Upon realizing that she had the chance to piss her father off, she turned toward her father. "Yes. What of it?"
Now it was Palutena's turn to have a confident smirk as her father sat up from his seat. The other Gods and Goddesses still in the room saw this as a bad sign.
"Now listen here Palutena. You may be my favorite child here, and it would be hypocritical of me to say that you can't date anyone, but why the King of Evil of all people?! I cannot allow your standards to be this low!" Zeus stated.
Palutena laughs. It wasn't toward Zeus as much as Ares who was visibly upset about the comment that she was the favorite child. Zeus didn't notice his hot-headed son was hurt by his comment, but the Thunder God continues.
He growled. "Do not mock me! You will end your relationship with Ganondorf if you know what's good for you."
"Nope," Palutena answers simply. "We are in love ❤ And Ganny-poo has seen the light."
Shulk opened his mouth to say something but closed it before he got yelled at again. Then again, Rosalina was thinking the same thing he was.
"G-G-G-G-GANNY POO?!" Zeus roared in disbelief.
"What an awful pet name…" Sothis says out loud. Shulk and Rosalina instantly slap their hands on her mouth to stop her from saying anything else.
"I'm a grown up now," Palutena continued with a smirk. "I can make my own decisions. We aren't living in the past anymore."
Zeus slams his fists onto the table. "You may be an adult, but you are still my little girl! I refuse to let you be corrupted by the King of Evil!"
"Too late for that," Palutena hummed.
It was unknown if Palutena meant she was corrupted literally or not. It didn't suit Zeus well at all. Hera just laughed as she attempted to calm her husband.
"Oh Zeus, let the dear do what she wants. When she gets her heartbroken after being used, she can run back to you and you can remind you how right you were."
Hera's logic made sense. Wait until Ganondorf screwed up before rubbing it in Palutena's face. Of course, Zeus hated listening to his wife. He was going to get his way. That's how it's always been.
"Silence! I am speaking!" Zeus shouts as he slaps Hera's hand away. Hades could be heard snickering behind Palutena but Zeus paid no heed to him. "Athena, I will not tell you again. End your relationship with the King of Evil, or I will be forced to take action."
Palutena rolled her eyes. "You only use my birth name when you're trying to be a good parent. Unfortunately, it's kind of too late for that Daddy." She said that last part in a condescending tone.
"Athena-"
"Since you think it's okay to insult Pit without as much of an apology, I think it's only fair that I don't take your advice with whom I choose to spread my legs for." Palutena laughed. "So, you're better off just yelling at that hag next to you instead of wasting your time changing my mind."
Because of the argument, the other Gods had been slowly dismissing themselves one by one. Artemis had been the first one to leave without a sound. Apollo followed when he noticed his twin sister was gone. Dionysus dipped before anyone would notice that he stole a wine bottle from the table. Aphrodite would follow soon after. Finally, Dyntos laments how he's too old for this and leaves the realm.
"You little wretch…" Hera hissed.
"I did not raise you to be this disrespectful," Zeus tells his daughter. The disappointment in his tone was noticeable.
"Funny, I don't recall you raising me at all," Palutena snarks. The smile on her face is gone now. "If you don't have anything important to say, I will leave now." She looks toward Master Hand. "Can we please now? I also need to have my bath."
Master Hand wanted to leave for a different reason entirely. Zeus was red in the face and no one wanted to be around when he snapped. Hades already took Persephone and went back to the Underworld. Master and Crazy grabbed everyone from the mansion and whisked them away. Amateratsu howled before she too disappeared.
Master Hand, Crazy Hand, Palutena, Shulk, Rosalina, and Sothis arrive back to the Smash Realm outside of the Mansion. The two hands leave the Gods and teleport back to Final Destination.
"Well, that was certainly a productive meeting." Palutena says sarcastically.
"Despite the very rowdy meeting, we did learn of a very problematic threat. What are we going to do about it?" Rosalina asked.
"If those beings happen to be in the Smash Realm, then we must take precautions. Unfortunately, we do not have their whereabouts. So the best we can do is just wait." Sothis says.
While the three Goddess are talking amongst each other. Shulk hears an argument happening in the distance. He looks over to see Mythra arguing with Kazooie. Pyra was standing behind Mythra nervously while Banjo and Rex watched from the sidelines. Shulk couldn't hear every word being exchanged between the two, but he heard a lot of expletives coming from Kazooie.
"Don't think you can strut over here and act like you're hot stuff you big boobed blonde bimbo!" Kazooie yelled.
Mythra puts her hand on her chest and gasps. "Who do you think you're calling a bimbo you foul mouthed feather faced chicken?!" She yelled back.
"I'm pretty sure I was talking to you. You have cotton in your ears or something? Did all that brain power you could've gotten went to your boobs instead?" Kazooie grinned.
"Mythra, calm down. You're making a scene. Don't let her get to you." Pyra says, trying to calm down the other blade.
"No Pyra! I'm not just going to let some chicken disrespect me!" Mythra says.
"CHICKEN?!" Kazooie squawked angrily. "I am Breegull you stupid idiot!"
"I honestly don't care what you are. You can trash talk me all you want, but at least people find me attractive." Mythra put her hand on her chest and smiled proudly. "Your looks are as ugly as your attitude!" the blonde blade snarked.
This made Kazooie furious! The Red Crested Breegull turned her attention to Mythra's breast. A devious idea came to the bird's head. Kazooie jumps up at Mythra and attempts to peck on one of Mythra's breasts. Mythra quickly grabs Kazooie's beak to stop her. Kazooie's face turned to one of fear.
"I don't think so." Mythra simply said.
Mythra slams Kazooie down on the ground. The blonde blade wraps her around Kazooie's neck and starts strangling her. Kazooie starts squawking for help.
Pyra runs to Mythra to try and make her release her grip on the Breegull. "Mythra! Let her go! She's not worth it! Mythra stop it!" The red haired blade pleaded.
Banjo and Rex just looked fearfully at the sight before them.
"Man, Mythra is really choking the chicken." Rex comments.
Banjo sighs. "I'm really sorry Rex. Kazooie can be very rude sometimes. Actually, she can be rude all the time. Sometimes she doesn't realize that her foul mouth can get her into trouble."
"It's okay Banjo. Mythra is easily annoyed and flustered by insults. Someone like Kazooie would definitely set her off. Pyra will defuse the situation though." Rex says. The young boy then looks beside Banjo and sees something...strange. "Who is the heck is that?" Rex pointed.
Banjo looks beside him and jumps in surprise when he sees a blocky man and woman looking back at him.
"Steve? Alex?" Banjo called.
The two blocky figures didn't say anything. Alex simply nodded while Steve took out a steak and ate it. Steve waves at Banjo and Rex. Steve and Alex then proceed to walk to the Smash Mansion and go inside.
Rex turns to Banjo, still in confusion at what he was looking at. "Friends of yours?" He asks.
"Yup," Banjo nods. "They don't do much. Just build and hunt. They also like to speak like they're in some chatbox or something. Very strange people but then mean well." He says. "I should get Kazooie. She'll need some help recovering." The bear goes over to help his bird friend.
Shulk walks up to Rex. "Uh, did I miss something here?" He questioned.
Rex turns to Shulk. "Hey Shulk!" He waved happily. "Welcome back! And not much besides Mythra getting into a fight with a bird. How was that important meeting of yours?"
"Let's just say it was...awkward." Shulk answered.
Pyra and Mythra walk over to Shulk and Rex. Mythra was still feeling a little heated from Kazooie's comments.
"Stupid bird." Mythra grumbled.
"Did you see everything Shulk?" Pyra asks.
Shulk nodded. "I did. Mythra, you shouldn't be getting into fights like that with the others."
"Hmph!" Mythra folded her arms and pouted. "Well she was the one who started it!"
"Where did you and Alvis go? Was everything okay?" Pyra asked.
"I wouldn't really say things went well, but they could have gotten worse." Alvis answers.
"Alvis, you were pretty quiet throughout the entire meeting." Shulk mentions.
"I chose to keep quiet throughout the meeting. Considering the discourse it led to, I made the right call."
"Good on you honestly…" Shulk says. He turns his attention back to Rex and the Aegis Blades. "Now that I have some free time, we can catch up with each other. I'm sure you have a lot to talk about."
"I'm sure you do too." Mythra replies.
"I wanna hear more about that tactician boy you mentioned to us before." Pyra smiled.
"Have you guys done the dirty yet?" Rex asks with ease.
"REX!" Mythra and Shulk yelled as the two blondes blushed in embarrassment.
"What? I was just asking." Rex shrugged.
"L-Let's just go inside and talk. I'll be sure to fill you in on everything. Except that." Shulk says.
The four began to make their way to the mansion. Before they reach the front door however, a giant lightning bolt comes down from the sky and destroys the front door. Shulk, Rex, and the Aegis Blade step back in shock.
Palutena, Rosalina, and Sothis see the destruction caused to the mansion.
"What happened?!" Sothis wondered.
Palutena senses a strong force coming from behind her. She turns around to see a large grey cloud floating in the sky. Standing on the grey cloud was none other than the God of Thunder himself, Zeus. And he looked pissed. Flying behind Zeus was a large group of Centurions from Skyworld.
"Centurions of Skyworld! This is where your "Goddess of Light" Athena betrayed you all and tarnished her status as a virgin Goddess! She has turned her back on you all! March on and fight for your vengeance! If you happen to find the King of Darkness that Athena has given her virginity to, then bring him to me! I want to kill him personally!" Zeus yelled.
The Centurions rally cried behind Zeus.
Palutena tightens her fist and growls. "You have got to be fucking kidding me…" She muttered.
"What is your father doing here?! Doesn't he know that it is against the rules for us Gods to invade each other realms?!" Rosalina asked.
"That's obviously not something he cares about." Sothis replies.
Shulk, Pyra, Mythra, and Rex run over to the Goddesses.
Shulk looks up in the sky and sees Zeus and the Centurions flying towards them. "Why is your father doing?!" The God of Fate asked Palutena.
"He's not happy with the fact that I'm dating Ganondorf. So he swayed my once loyal subjects to betray me and possibly kill you all." Palutena simply explained.
"Over one guy? Aren't you like an adult?" Rex questioned.
"There's no point arguing with my dear old dad," Palutena turns to Sothis and Rosalina. "Let everyone in the mansion know we got trouble outside! We're going to be in for a pretty underwhelming fight." She tells them.
Sothis and Rosalina nod and fly over to the mansion.
Shulk turns to Pyra, Mythra, and Rex. "I'm sorry to ask you to help us fight on your first day here." He says.
"No need to apologize," Mythra takes out her blade. "We'll fight alongside you."
Pyra takes out her blade. "We have your back Shulk. This is our new home now after all." She smiled.
Shulk smiles back at Pyra. "Thank you." The blond takes out his Monado. "You ready Alvis?" He asks.
"Of course. This will also be revenge for him disrespecting Rosalina." Alvis replied.
"I warned you there would be consequences Athena! Now you and all of the mortals here will pay the price for your disobedience and betrayal!" Zeus tells his daughter.
"I don't know who you think you're scaring with all those centurions behind you. Pit is the captain of all of those jobbers you persuaded to turn their back against me," Palutena summons her staff to her hand. "If it'll take a beat down to teach them a lesson, then that's what I'll do." She said sternly.
The Gates of Hell
Everyone who was still in the bar were still enjoying themselves, unknown of the danger that had just arrived in the Smash Mansion. The only new person that had entered into the Gates of Hell was Claude who was sitting at a table in the corner by himself.
The young Almyran Prince couldn't keep his mind off of what Edelgard had said to him. He tried his best to understand the Imperial Princess and wanted to try and help her, but she had made it clear that she hated him. Byleth choosing him over her stung Edelgard the most.
What was even worse was that she had been planning to kill him and Dimitri from the start. Claude was used to such pejorative words thrown at him that being called an outsider was numb to him. It was the fact Edelgard wanted to kill him in cold blood and saw him as nothing but a nuisance. She also made it clear that she never saw him as a friend to begin with.
Claude sighs to himself. Balthus comes walking over to the Golden Deer leader.
"Hey there pal! What are you doing here sitting here by yourself? Come on, get out of the corner and hang with us!" Balthus insisted.
"I'm not in the mood Balthus. No offense, but I don't want to hang out with you. Especially when you have Yuri around." Claude replied.
"Sheesh. What's got your boxers up in a bunch? And what do you have against the boss? He's a pretty charming guy."
"A rather obnoxious asshole if you ask me." Claude grumbled.
The Almyran looked over to Yuri who was sitting over at a table with Byleth, Bernadetta, Ren, and Futaba. Yuri was resting his head on Byleth's shoulder with a grin on his face and sipping on a martini. There was just something about seeing Yuri's smug face while he's leaned up on Byleth that just made Claude annoyed.
Balthus looks over to the table where Yuri was. He then looks back at Claude. "Don't tell me you're jealous of the boss and little Bernie Bear getting the attention of the Professor?"
Claude looks away from Balthus. "I-I'm not jealous. I have no reason to be jealous of Bernadetta. She's a sweet gal. A whole nervous wreck, but considering all that she's been through. It's understandable why she's the way she is. It's Yuri that I'm bothered by."
"That's because you're jealous of him." Balthus bluntly said.
"I said I'm not jealous!" Claude says sheepishly.
"Listen pal, I know I'm not really someone to give relationship advice. I'm not relationship material. What I do know is that a polyamory relationship takes everyone to love each other. The Professor chose you, the boss, and Bernie Bear. He loves you all equally. Why else would he decide to give you all those engagement rings? If you and the boss are having issues, it would only cause more issues for him. And you don't wanna cause more problems for the guy do you?"
Claude couldn't believe what he was hearing. Whenever Balthus would interact with the Almyran Prince, it always involved the grappler trying to make moves on his mother. But here Balthus was giving him a lecture. Claude didn't want to admit, but Balthus was making a point.
Byleth did choose him, Yuri, and Bernadetta. If this relationship was going to work, that would mean he had to get along with Yuri. He didn't like the idea.
"Well, you don't seem like you wanna talk anymore. I'll leave you be, but I'll say this to ya. If you didn't like the idea of having to share Byleth, why did you say yes then?" Balthus questioned.
The grappler then leaves Claude to ponder on his question. Claude began thinking to himself. Why did he say yes to Byleth's confession? Because he felt the same way obviously. But he knew it meant being in polyamory with someone he was only just an acquaintance with and someone he disliked. If he wasn't okay with the idea, shouldn't he have said no?
Claude puts one hand on his head and sighs. "Damn it…"
Meanwhile at another table, Byleth and Ren were talking amongst each other. Ren had his arms wrapped around Futaba's shoulder while Byleth had Bernadetta clinging on to his left arm and Yuri leaning his head on Byleth's right shoulder.
"You must teach me your cooking skills Ren. They're very impressive. I wanna be able to cook like that for all of my students. I'm still a beginner cook so I could use all the help I can get." Byleth says.
Ren smiles and rubs the back of his head. "Come on, I wouldn't say I'm an amazing cook."
"Are you kidding?! You make the best foods ever! You heard how everyone reacted to your curry! They loved it! You could totally give Byleth some pointers!" Futaba says.
"Hey, it was Sojiro who taught me how to make the curry. So the credit should really go to him. If you want me to teach you how to make it Byleth, I can." Ren smiled.
"I would love the idea of my fiance serving me dinner every night." Yuri comments.
"Hmmm…" Bernadetta pouted.
"Is something the matter Bernadetta?" Byleth asks.
"Well… It's just… I wanna be able to c-cook for you Byleth. I-I mean, if you don't want me to cook for you that's fine. My food would probably taste terrible…" Bernadetta lowers her head.
"Hey, don't be hard on yourself Bernie. No one is great at cooking for their first time. It takes practice. As long as you don't burn the house down, you'll improve. I can help you with cooking if you need it." Futaba says.
Bernadetta looks up at Futaba in shock. "Y-You will?!"
"Well why wouldn't I? You're my friend Bernie. I watch Ren and Sojiro cook stuff all the time. I could give you some points. I'd be like those sidekicks in games giving you hints. I'll be by your side to help you." Futaba smiled.
Bernadetta smiles back at Futaba. She bows to Futaba. "T-Thank you so much Futaba. That… puts me at ease."
"Thank you for being such a good friend to Bernadetta." Byleth says to Futaba.
Futaba rubs under her nose. "Hey, it's no problem. I didn't have a lot of friends either until I met the Phantom Thieves. Bernadetta is a great friend. I like hanging out with her."
Bernadetta blushes. "I-I like hanging out with you too Futaba."
"Hey, I have an idea." Ren says. "How about we go on a double date? Futaba and I and you and Bernadetta?" He suggested.
"A double date?!" Futaba and Bernadetta responded in shock.
"A double date? That sounds fun. I would like to do that." Byleth replies.
Yuri chuckles to himself. "Good luck you two," He says to Ren and Futaba. "Byleth and Bernadetta have never been on a date before. I expect things to go a little disastrous. Although, it would be a good experience. Then Byleth would be able to take all of us on a date." He grinned.
"It'll be fine. Don't worry, we'll do something small for your first date." Ren says.
Byleth nods. "Then it's settled. We shall have a double date at some point."
"Your treat?" Futaba asks Ren.
"My treat. I did get a big paycheck after all." Ren replies.
"I-I'll be sure to… not be an embarrassment." Bernadetta says.
Sothis enters inside of the Gates of Hell. "Byleth! Beth!" She called.
Byleth and Beth hear the Progenitor God calling their name and walk over to her. It sounded serious.
"What's the matter Sothis?" Byleth asks.
"How did that meeting go?" Beth questioned.
"Terrible! Now we have Palutena's petty father here invading the mansion! We need you both out there to help us fend him off." Sothis tells the twins.
Byleth nods. "Understood."
"You telling me we get to fight Palutena's asshole dad? I like the sound of that." Beth smirked.
Bayonetta gets up from her seat and walks up to Sothis. "I'm coming with you. I may not be particularly fond of that Goddess, but stomping out an asshole God is something I can get behind." The Umbra Witch smirked.
Jeanne stands up from her seat. "Need me to join you Cereza?" She asks.
Bayonetta shakes her head. "No Jeanne. You stay here and make sure the kids are safe. We have enough firepower to handle things."
"Alright Cereza. I'll leave things to you and the others."
The Eisner Twins, Sothis, and Bayonetta enter inside the portal and leave the Gates of Hell.
"Yo Ren!" Ryuji called from the table across from Ren. He was still with the rest of the Phantom Thieves. "Should we be concerned?" He asked.
"I don't think so. If Mama Bayo says that she's got it, we can take her word for it. Especially when there's so many strong fighters to help her." Morgana answered.
"I agree. Let's leave it to the others. I'm sure they can handle it." Makoto says.
Back outside of the Smash Mansion, it was dusk and the battle between the smashers and centurions of Skyworld had commenced. However, it was less of a battle and more like a glorified squash. While the Centurions were capable enough warriors in Skyworld, they certainly did not compare with the fighters the Smash Realm had.
Centurions were getting knocked around like ragdolls left and right by the smashers. While the army of Centurions were larger in comparison to the fighters in the Smash Realm, they weren't able to touch a majority of the smashers.
Pit was busy punching out a group of Centurions who tried to gang up on him. He was particularly angry about the entire situation.
"I can't believe you guys would turn your backs against Lady Palutena! How could you?! After everything she's done for you!" Pit yelled. Another Centurion charges at Pit, but the angel easily knocks him away with a backfist. "I'm also the captain of all of your jobbers! You can't beat me! What were you thinking?!"
Two more Centurions came charging at Pit again. Pit was prepared to fight them off, but Dark Pit flies in and kicks both of the Centurions in their faces.
Dark Pit lands on his feet. "And don't think you can beat me!" He folds his arms and smirks. "I'm in a whole nother league than you." He says.
The two angels turn to see Palutena taking care of her group of Centurions with ease. Smacking away all Centurions who were stupid enough to fly at her with her staff. Once she was finished beating up the group of Centurions, she turned her attention to Zeus who was still sitting on his cloud.
Zeus facepalms and shakes his head. "I should've known that these Centurions would be useless." He mumbled to himself.
"Come down here so I can bash your head in!" Palutena yells, pointing her staff at Zeus.
"I'm sure you would love that Athena, but I won't bother. No matter what you do, it won't matter. I have the people of Skyworld on my side. Your reputation is finished! You should've thought twice before disobeying me!" Zeus grinned.
Palutena growled. "Don't think you're getting away with this." She says.
Pit and Dark Pit come to Palutena's side.
"Zeus! Still an asshole I see?" Pit snarked.
"Pit. Still a complete loser I see? Ignorant brat." Zeus sneers.
"This guy is Palutena's father? Ugh, he's even uglier than I pictured." Dark Pit says.
Zeus looks over to Dark Pit and his face turns to one of disgust. He cringes at the sight of the dark angel. "Ugh! What in the blazes are you?!"
"I'm Dark Pit. The future Prince of Ylisse." The dark angel answered, folding his arms.
"A dark angel? That's impossible! Such a thing shouldn't exist! There's something… off about you," Zeus noticed. "You were not created naturally were you? No, you weren't. You were created through the Mirror of Truth no doubt. You are nothing but a filthy clone!" The God of Thunder spat.
Dark Pit simply just smirked. "You can call me what you want, but I know who I am. I make my own path, my own decision. I chose my own destiny, and I don't need some old asshole telling me who I am!"
"You tell him Pittoo!" Pit cheered.
Palutena smiles at Dark Pit. She turns her attention back to Zeus with a proud grin on her face. "Pit and Dark Pit are my sons! And as a family, we're all going to kick your ass!" She says.
"I like that idea!" Pit says, taking out his Palutena Bow.
Dark Pit cracks his knuckles. "It'll be some good family bonding." He smirked.
"I'd like to see you try." Zeus says.
Palutena, Pit, and Dark Pit get into their battle stances. Zeus summons lightning bolts in his hand. He was prepared to fight as well. But before any of them could make a move…
"Everyone!" Rosalina called. "Master Hand and Crazy Hand are missing!" She yelled.
All the smashers stopped fighting after hearing what Rosalina had said.
"Wait what?!" Pit yells.
With the smashers attention averted, Zeus saw this as an opportunity to escape.
"Centurions! Retreat!" Zeus called. Zeus flies away with the Centurions flying behind him.
"Hey! Come back here you coward!" Palutena yelled. But Zeus didn't bother to look back. The Goddess of Light growled. "This isn't over!"
All the smashers gathered together around Rosalina. All of them with worried looks on their faces.
"What do you mean Master Hand and Crazy Hand are gone?! What happened?!" Mario questioned.
"I went to Final Destination to inform them of what Zeus was doing. When I had arrived, they were not there. Master Hand and Crazy Hand rarely leave Final Destination. So to have them just disappear…" Rosalina trailed off.
"How do two floating giant hands just disappear out of nowhere?" Sonic questioned.
"I think I have found the answer," Lucario spoke up. Everyone turns their attention to the aura Pokemon. "I'm sensing a powerful evil aura in the distance. It's not alone either. It's accompanied by power similar to Master Hand, but something is wrong." He tells them.
"Show us Lucario! Lead the way!" Zelda tells him.
Lucario nods and begins running towards where he sensed the evil aura. The rest of the smashers follow behind. The journey was a bit of a lengthy one. The smashers could feel their heart pounding of what they were potentially going to face. What has happened to Master Hand and Crazy Hand?
The smashers all make it to a familiar clifftop.
"We're here." Lucario says.
"Hey, this place is pretty nostalgic. This is where we stood after we defeated Tabuu and destroyed the Subspace." Pit reminded.
"So what are you looking for exactly?" Mario wondered, scratching his head. He would find his answer the moment he looked up at the sky. His eyes widen and mouth open agape at what he saw. "Mama mia…" He muttered.
The smashers look up at the sky, all expressing the same look of horror. In the sky was an army of Master Hands, hundreds of them. The Master Hand were floating around a ball of light with white and rainbow colored wings floating around it. This being was known as Galeem, the Embodiment of Light.
Pit instantly recognized the being of light. "Hey! The wings! That's what I saw when Galleom got taken away by a ray of light! It was this thing!" He states.
"This also must be that being of light that's been erasing the other worlds." Shulk says.
"Must also be the reason for Master Hand and Crazy Hand's disappearance." Rosalina says.
"But all I see is an army of Master Hands. Where is Crazy Hand?" Sothis questioned.
"So uh, any idea on what we're gonna do against this big guy?" Terry questioned.
"There's only one thing we can do," Fox stated. He steps forward, takes out his blaster and points at Galeem. "We fight! Don't let a single one get away!"
"This is an actual threat compared to those gremlins Palutena's father sent after us. How are we going to fight an army of the same God that watches over us? Let alone hundreds of them." Beth questioned.
"We'll each need to take down about ten." Marth suggested.
"A rather confident number to fight when one can give us a bit of trouble on their own." Snake comments.
"A-Are you sure we can d-do this guys?" Luigi asked while hiding behind Daisy with his body shaking.
"Stow your fears! It's now or never!" Zelda exclaimed.
"If we are going to win, then we must give it everything we've got." Mewtwo stated.
"We'll win this! I know we will!" Pit exclaimed.
Bayonetta takes out her guns. She looks over to Corrin who was standing beside her. "Are you ready darling?" She asks.
Corrin nods with a determined look on his face. "I'm ready Cereza. Let's make it out of this alive." The silver haired boy takes out the Omega Yato.
Kamui, who was standing beside Corrin, was shaking with anxiety. She rarely showed fear when it came to face an enemy, but seeing Galeem and the army of Master Hands shook her to the core. She questioned if they were actually going to live through this battle.
Corrin could see the fear in his sister's body language. He places a hand on Kamui's shoulder, which causes her to slightly jump. "Sister, are you okay?" He asked with concern.
Kamui nods her head. "Y-Yeah. I'm sorry. Just a little worried. I can still fight, don't worry." The silver haired girl says. She takes out her dragon stone. "I'll fight with you and Bayonetta." Kamui gives Corrin a reassuring look.
"I got your back. You're not dying on my watch girl." Bayonetta tells Kamui. Kamui replies back with a nod.
Galeem's core began to light up with a surge of energy being absorbed by the core.
"It's preparing an attack! Brace yourself!" Shulk screamed.
Galeem was ready to release a powerful attack on the smashers.
SLICE!
Suddenly, the energy that was surging around Galeem's core suddenly stopped. The smashers were loosened up their battle stances, confused on what had just happened. Galeem's core turns black before suddenly being split apart. Galeem began falling apart with it's wings falling down into the ocean. The army of Master Hands started dissolving.
"What's going on? What happened to the being?" Zelda questioned.
"Look! There's someone in the distance!" Pit pointed out.
The smashers see a figure floating above them. A tall man with long silver hair with bangs wearing a long black coat with silver pauldrons, black boots and black trousers. The top of his coat is open to reveal his chest, with his leather suspenders crossed over it. He has a belt buckle with a wing motif in the center and small black feathers hanging from it; yellow and green lights reflect from the slots.
In his left hand, he carried a seven-foot long katana. In his right hand, he was carrying a battered and lifeless body by the collar of their outfit.
The figure smirked. "People of the Smash Realm. I am the one chosen by the planet. Sephiroth." Sephiroth raises the figure he was holding to the smashers. "I believe you've been looking for him."
All the smashers gasped in horror at who Sephiroth was holding. It was a bloody, scarred, and unconscious Cloud.
"CLOUD!" Bayonetta and Corrin screamed.
Kamui stood in silence, staring at Cloud's battered body. She felt her heart ache. She clutches her chest, trying to fight back any tears that were about to fall. "Cloud…" She muttered.
Sephiroth throws Cloud's body like he was a pile of trash to the smashers. Bayonetta catches Cloud in her arms.
"Cloud! Cloud! Speak to me!" Bayonetta cried, shaking his body. She bends down to the ground. "Cloud! Wake up!" The Umbra Witch yelled again.
"Cloud! Wake up! Cloud please!" Corrin cried.
Cloud wasn't responding. Kamui stared at Corrin and Bayonetta crying over Cloud. Kamui couldn't move her body or say anything. Was Cloud dead? Was he potentially still alive? The half dragon's mind was going crazy. Tears started falling down Kamui's face.
All the smashers turned their attention back to Sephiroth, who was enjoying the sight he was seeing.
"I've been waiting for this moment." Sephiroth smirked.
Behind him, the sky was beginning to crack and fall apart. A blue eye with yellow pupils appeared from the shadows in the cracked skies. Black, purple, and red tentacles come out through the sky and reveal the being's entire form. This was Dharkon, the Embodiment of Chaos and Darkness. As the bright sky fell apart, a dark red sky with black cloud took over instead.
Sephiroth raises his hand as darkness shrouds the skies. "I will bring the Smash Realm, despair." He says with a grin.
Author's Note: SEPHIROTH! Let's just say I had the biggest smile on my face when I finally introduced Sephiroth. As you can see, this won't be just your regular World of Light story. From this point onwards, we'll be going into new territory for the most part. Building upon Sephiroth's trailer where Galeem is dead and it's just him and Dharkon working together. I guess this would be a bit of a fresh take of the World of Light formula.
I would like to credit GintaxAlvissforever for helping me with the Olympian Gods. I had the idea of the entire meeting, but I needed help from the best person I know whose a Greek Mythology nerd. She helped pick the Gods and Goddess to be there and helped me out with that scene. So of course, I always gotta give thanks for her help. Because I definitely wouldn't have been able to do all the Greek Mythology stuff myself.
To address, EVERYONE, and I literally mean all of you who were asking me about Steve and Alex. There they are. I always planned to put them in. They were just going to be introduced randomly and invite themselves to match the trailer. So there you go, they're there in my universe now. No need to ask anymore. Also, y'all think I didn't see all the memes with Mythra and Kazooie and thought I wouldn't do anything about that? Come on now. I'm usually on top of these things.
Hey, Cloud is back! Doesn't look so good though. Is he okay? Is he alive? You'll soon find out. Now the story has officially begun. Sephiroth is here. How will they fair against him? What will they do about Dharkon? The unknown journey will continue... when I get the next chapter out.
