Chapter 2

(Two years later)

Screams could be heard all around as the pirates kept raiding the town, these men were ruthless they killed anyone who resisted them in their blind quest for treasure, women, and children were captured to be sold as slaves, only a few men were also captured as potential slaves, burning buildings littered the large town, dead bodies were thrown all over the ground, ash and smoke blanketed the night sky, not even the glow from the moon could be seen from the ground shrouded the town in darkness.

A large imposing man stood motionless next to the captured men, women, and children, he had massive bulging muscles, broad strong shoulders, scars littered his face, and body, he has long black hair and black eyes, he wore rough leather armor, and pants, with metal-tipped boots, he had a large Claymore strapped to his back, metal gauntlets on his arms, this man was Bass he is the captain of the Black Dog pirates one of the numerous pirate crews sailing the new world, he had a bounty of four hundred million.

"Kill that fucker he looks stuck up!"

"Anna!! Please leave my wife!!"

"Hahaha!! Find the gold!"

"Boys! I got some whores here wanna have fun!?"

His men continued to torment the town as they pillage, it brought a smile to his face, the screams of terror soothing as a lullaby to his ears.

On the other side of town, five pirates were chasing a small family, it was mother, with her husband and two kids, they were running looking absolutely terrified, the pirates were enjoying the chase, the desperate struggle of the family as they tried and failed to escape was exhilarating to them.

"Run you little shits, make this fun for us,"

"Yeah, maybe if you drop the dead weight you could get away,"

"That sounds cruel don't you think?"

"Who cares we're going to kill them anyway,"

"Hahaha!!!"

The pirates jeers as they chase the family, as the family runs down the streets they ended up at a dead-end alleyway they were trapped.

"Well, it's the end of the road." One pirate said as he blocked the entrance of the alleyway.

"You guys should have been paying attention to where you were going," another pirate said eliciting laughs from his friends.

"You should have taken your own advice," a deadly voice says behind the pirates.

Everyone looked to the voice came from, a large man stood behind the pirates, he was nine feet tall, wearing a red heavy tunic with an armored shirt underneath, he is very muscular not bulky, but more of a chiseled physique, he wore thick black leather pants and boots, his long golden blonde hair was in a low ponytail, tribal tattoos decorated his handsome face, fierce Sapphire blue eyes regarded the pirates coldly.

One of the pirates ran at him planning to kill him, he does a vertical slash with his axe Link simply sidestepped the attack before launching his own attack, none of them saw what happened all they know is one moment the pirate had a head, and the next he didn't the pirate's limp body falls to the ground with an audible thud in the now silent alleyway.

"Next," Link said.

The other pirates enraged at the death of one of their own launched themselves at Link in a desperate attempt to take him down sadly they met a similar fate as their friend, severed limbs and heads now litter the dark alleyway, with the pirates dead Link asked the scared family what happened here, they told him that pirates came in the dead of night, set fire to the ships in the port so no one could escape, they killed most of local Marine Garrison only keeping a few captured female marines as entertainment, they then proceeded to slaughter all who resisted them even those that didn't, they have a large number of women and children captured at the town square to sell into slavery, he thanked them for the information then told them to hide until it was over, they thanked him and ran off to hide.

Now that Link had an understanding of the overall situation he now makes plans how to handle the situation, he can't just walk up to town square taking out pirates along the way, he would lose the element of surprise, probably end up surrounded, and even if the grunts are not a threat they can cause a distraction in a crucial moment costing him dearly against their stronger members, this is the New World, after all, can't be too careful it is a safe assumption that at least the captain and first mate know how to use either Observation Haki or Armament Haki or both, then his fighting options will be limited with the hostages to consider as well, this was proving to be more trouble than necessary nevertheless, Link has made his choice so now it was time to execute it.

Link started by targeting the outlying members of the pirate crew throughout the entire large town, he killed them quickly and silently without any of them aware that they were dead until they fell to the ground lifeless, while he was taking out the isolated members of the crew he noticed something different about them some of the men had a black dog with red eyes on their clothes, the others had twin axes on their clothes, this meant that they were two pirate crews, not one he was going to have to reevaluate his approach now.

Link is still unwilling to fight under such unfavorable conditions so he decides to at least take out the captain not surrounded by hostages and the majority of their men, so Link made his way to the docks taking out any pirates he came across along the way, when he got to the docks he sees two ships anchored beside each other they were both flying a pirate flag so they are the ships, now how to approach they are more guarded that initially expected their is almost eighty men down there from what he could see, no doubt the other captain is inside the ship along with their first mate and a few high ranking members of both crews, pirates don't always trust each other so they mixed the crews so no one would betray the other without consequences, Link ponders his next move; the moment he touches down on deck they are going to be alerted to his presence the amount of damage he is able to do in those moments before the captain and the higher ranked members reinforce the guards will be critical to the overall fight, he needs to isolate the men here from any reinforcements from the men in town, he will be able to control the flow of the battle much more easier, with his plan in place he prepares.

(Ten minutes later)

Ron walks around the deck of his captain's ship as he guards it against possible attack, he wanted to be with the rest of his crewmembers from the black dog pirates, but this partnership with the Battleaxe Pirates is new so they can't trust these guys won't betray them, so they mixed the crew to keep everyone honest, not that it would really stop our captain if he seriously wanted to take out the other crew, Ron sighs tiredly from thinking about all this stuff which is probably why he is on guard duty, not a lot of thinking required.

Suddenly there is a massive explosion on the docks, the force from which rattled the ships throwing everyone on the decks of both ships on their ass, Ron got to his feet coughing from the cloud of smoke from the explosion when he gets to the edge of the ship he is met with a gruesome sight, the previously occupied docks were now a sea of fire, the paved stones were now molten hot most of them are destroyed or melted, the nauseating smell of burnt flesh hit Ron full force the forty men that were on the docks were now in pieces littering the previously pristine docks, it was an enemy attack he had to warn the others, captain Bass obviously saw the explosion so he will be coming here soon he and the others just has to hold the line long enough for reinforcement to get here.

A large translucent blue barrier starts to cover both ships, this naturally startled Ron as he watches as the barrier completely traps the two crews on their ships, a cabin door is kicked open on both ships several individuals make their way on deck.

From the Black Dog's ship came four people; the first was a large man with large muscles, a ripped physique, scars cover his chest area, long black hair hides one of his black eyes, he wore armor similar to his captain Bass, he uses a large hammer as his weapon, his name is Cliff he is the younger brother of the captain and the first mate of the Black dog pirates his bounty is three hundred and fifty million.

The second one out was an average size man with short brown hair and eyes, he wore similar armor to the first mate with the addition of a long coat, that hides his myriad guns that serve as his main weapon, he is one of the officers on the crew Renly Smith, his bounty is one hundred and fifty million.

The other two were a pair of sisters, they had long dark blue hair, emerald green eyes framed in on a strong feminine face, they had large breasts, toned midsection, wide hips, and long legs, one wore tight leather pants, a loosely buttoned dress shirt, she had a tri-log post on her right wrist used to navigate the New World, she was the navigator of the crew Sasha Ellis bounty one hundred million, her sister Dawn Ellis wore a tight leather mini-skirt, with a black tube-top with a white doctor's coat, she is the crew doctor her bounty is ninety million.

"Ron, what the fuck is going on?!" Cliff roared at him.

"Enemy attack sir, they took out all the men on the docks, then they put up this barrier around the two ships, we still haven't seen the enemy yet," Ron reports calmly despite the situation.

"They must have a death wish attacking both of us at the same time," Renly comments.

"Hmm, or they wanted to draw the captain back to the ships, so they can rescue the townspeople," Dawn comments.

"We should contact Bass to see if he was attacked as well," Sasha suggests somewhat worried about her lover.

"No! What we need to do is find who attacked us and kill them immediately!" Cliff barks out.

Suddenly they all felt a presence coming from the water beneath both ships, they quickly made their way to the ship railing, they were surprised at what they saw.

(Around the same time on the other ship)

Three individuals stood on the deck of the Battleaxe pirates ship, one was a ten feet tall hulking mass of muscle, with a bald head, brown eyes, red tribal markings covered his entire body, he wore heavy metal chest armor, metal gauntlets, metal boots, and metal layered pants, he had two massive Battleaxes on his back called En and Sho by him, he is Ivar he is the captain of the Battleaxe Pirates his bounty is four hundred and fifty million.

Standing to his right was the ship navigator, he is a tall slim man with long green hair, and brown eyes, he wears a long brown coat, with a white shirt and long leather pants, he carries a poleaxe as his weapon, his name is John Myers his bounty is two hundred million.

Standing on the captains left is an older man with balding grey hair, he is average height, wearing a doctor's coat over a yellow shirt and loose black pants, he wears large glasses over his grey eyes, he is Frank their doctor his bounty is fifty million he is not a combatant.

They are looking at the same thing the others are all looking at, standing on the surface of the water, is a lone Fishman though he looks different from the ones they know.

Standing on the water surface was a twelve feet tall blue scaled Zora, wearing silver gauntlets, knee-length pants, brown waterproof boots, and a jeweled choker, amphibian head with long appendages extending from the head the blue shifting to green the further it went, down to its waist, streamlined muscular arms and legs, blue eyes similar to the vast oceans stare at them all with apathy, it had two large silver-colored fins with razor-sharp yellow ends, this was Link's complete Zora form.

"I would have liked to take you down in direct combat, but it's not possible your reinforcements will be here anytime now," Link said to the two groups of pirates.

"So, what are you going to do run away?!" Cliff taunts.

"You won't be able to escape now that we have seen you," Renly says while pointing his guns at Link.

"Yeah, you are a dead man you fish bastard!!" John shouted.

The other pirates joined in shouting at the lone Zora, all except captain Ivar he was watching Link closely with hostile intent, he has had a bad feeling from he say that blue barrier surrounding their ships, and when he saw Link standing on the water the bad feeling increased tenfold the words Link spoke didn't help matters either for those were not words of surrender they were of someone resigned to do something they are not fully comfortable with.

Link turned his head to look directly at Ivar, in that instant Ivar got what was behind the bad feeling but it was too late to stop it, Link's eyes glowed then the ocean erupted beneath his feet tons of sea water tore through the two ships, the sea water kept coming slamming into everyone stuck in the barrier they were slammed into the walls of the barrier necks were snapped from the impact killing them instantly, others had concoctions or broken bones they were all drowning, nevertheless the dead were the lucky ones for what came next was extremely painful, pure raw electricity was produced from a lightning barrier around Link it fried the weaker ones almost instantly, out of the corner of his eye Link saw Ivar's discarded metal armour he was the one who figured out his attack so he was the first to react, with Cliff right behind him they used Armament Haki to increase their odds of survival sadly for the others it was impossible for them given they didn't know how to, Cliff had to watch both his lover along with his brother's get fried slowly by the electricity along with the rest of his crew, Ivar similarly had to watch his crew die before his eyes, they both swore to get revenge on the bastard who caused this, the electricity stops and the water level started to drop allowing the two survivors the option to swim to the top of barrier to get some air into their burning lungs neither wanted to do this for floating among the wreckage of their crews and ships is Link, he is coldy assessing them waiting for their decision do they make a move to the surface so they don't drown cornering themselves or take their chances breaking the barrier, they look at each other having come to a shared decision.

Ivar swims to the surface of the water as quickly as he can with his En and Sho strapped on his back, Cliff stays back to protect his rear from any attacks to both their surprise none comes from Link even when Cliff moves to the water surface Link doesn't move, they are both confused by this course of action as they greedily breathe in air, Cliff is looking at Ivar when he notices his vision getting blurry, Ivar notices the same thing is happening to him, their bodies start to shake violently, blood starts to leak out of their eyes and ears, they reach the conclusion of what's happening at the same time.

"Yes, I poisoned you it's as I said before, I would have liked to fight you directly but I have no time to indulge in what I want, keeping up the barrier this large is taxing so I had to end this quickly, goodbye." Link revealed to them, as he finished talking the poison had already finished its job leaving two dead more dead bodies floating in the barrier making it look like a morbid aquarium.

Link swam out of the open bottom area of the barrier, when he was back on the ruined docks he used an ice arrow to freeze everything in the barrier, once he was done with that he dismissed the enlarged barrier leaving behind a morbid grand ice tomb, Link could sense and hear the other pirates coming he hid himself away to get a breather from creating the large barrier, he turned himself back to his regular Hylian form as he catches a short rest.

Not three minutes later, a large number of pirates made their way to the destroyed docks they carried torches so I didn't take long for them to see frozen tomb of their crewmembers, they were frozen in terror at the sight of their friends and comrades the dead bodies preserved in ice the fear and pain clear on their dead faces, quite a few of them couldn't handle it turning away vomiting on the ground, the wreckage of both ships were also plainly visible letting them know that they have no way off the island unless they manage to somehow salvage one of the ships they set ablaze though that was unlikely, one of the pirates took out a transponder snail reporting to who ever was on the other end, it seems the higher ranked members stayed behind with the captured townsfolk it's understandable giving the amount of money they could make from selling them, they are cautions of the fact the explosion could be a distraction to rescue the prisoners which is exactly what Link would have done if everyone had come to the docks to investigate, they had assumed if it wasn't a distraction that the members left behind to guard the ships could handle it so they only send two hundred men as reinforcement leaving around fifty men plus the officers, first mate, and captain in the town, they made the right choice to avoid losing the leverage too bad these two hundred men are going to pay for it.

"What do you mean they are all dead?" The deadly voice of Bass captain of the Black dog pirates.

"They are frozen, some of them look they were fried from electrocution, some have snapped necks, the first mate just looks frozen, I can't see his face," a black dog pirate reports to his captain.

"So, he could be alive then? Maybe just frozen," Bass questions with a tiny bit of hope he didn't also lose his brother.

"I don't think so captain, they all look pretty dead sir," the man replied.

"My brother is no weakling, so find out if he is dead or not before I get there in an hour, we are bringing the prisoners so you also better find a ship as well, don't disappoint me." Bass finished with a dark tone promising pain before he hung up.

The crewman was terrified for he was doomed no matter what he did, if he told the captain his brother was dead he would follow, if he can't miraculously find a ship intact and big enough for the crew and prisoners he was dead, his crewmembers looked at him with pity for his cursed fate.

(Back with the Prisoners)

"It's true David, captain Ivar along with the ship and crew are dead," reports a member of the Battleaxe Pirates.

"I see, find us a way off this island, doesn't matter how big it is the ship just has to hold our crew, we're done with this affair, we have to leave before we lose more people or get caught, also retrieve the bodies of our captain and crew if you can," David says to the crewman in a hushed tone making sure not to be overhead by their soon to be ex-allies.

"Got it, sir," the man answers then disconnects the call.

David is a large seven feet tall man, he had hulking muscles like his captain, he has long Brown hair, Brown eyes, chiseled features, he wore a long coat with the sleeves ripped off, he wore a tight muscle shirt underneath, he wore leather pants, steel-tipped boots, metal gauntlets on his arms, he is a martial artist and proficient Armament Haki user, he is the first mate of the Battleaxe pirates with a bounty of three hundred and eighty million.

David released a tired sigh, he had told his captain that this was a bad idea to raid this island, not because of the marines, the reason was because of the rumors that Link 'The Fierce Deity' was close to the island, Link was a notorious bounty hunter and mercenary in the New World he has even taken down some crews allied to the four emperors as well, he is rumored to use multiple elements, be a swords master, shapeshift, and control the weather if even half those rumors were true he would definitely be a monster, that's not even counting the most ridiculous rumor off all that he has the ability to manipulate time with music, it started due to how quickly the places he's saved from recovered from the attacks, a lot of people thought he ate a devil fruit but it's been confirmed that he has caught a pirate crew that tried to escape him on the open ocean in the form of a Fishman.

Based on what was his men reported he had a strong feeling that it was Link's work, and if so he had to save what was left of his crew, Bass is known to be a greedy pirate who loves money above all else, which given that Bass won't be leaving the prisoners he is on his own.

David walked to the two remaining officers Brad and Jacob they are friends who joined at the same time, they are of average height and body type, Brad is blonde with short hair, Jacob has Brown short hair, they both have blue eyes, they both use swords, they wore leather armor with a white shirt underneath, leather pants and boots, they both have a bounty of one hundred million.

He tells them of his thoughts and plans they nod in acceptance of his decision, a scream pierces the night David turns to see what it is, standing over the dying body of one of David's crewmembers is Bass with his eyes flaming holding his bloody Claymore.

"So you plan to betray us? To run away with your tail between your legs? Well, it seems you forgot that I'm a devil fruit user, don't try to deny it I heard everything, I will kill you all then cash in your bounty to make up for what I lost," Bass thundered.

He starts to transform into a thirteen-foot tall monstrosity, he had crisp midnight black fur all over his body, his head changed to resemble a canine's with flaming blood-red eyes and razor-sharp teeth, he grew a tail, his legs changed to resemble a bipedal animal, his hands grew sharp claws, flames flicker from between his jaws, his Claymore gets shrouded in flames.

"My fruit is the mythical Zoan Dog-Dog fruit model: Hellhound, now prepare to die," Bass growls out.

David coats his arms and legs in armament Haki, and takes a fighting stance ready to fight, Brad and Jacob also got ready to fight the rest of Bass's crew, with a launch the battle started.

Bass's flaming Claymore met David's Haki coated fist with a crash creating a large explosion visible all the way to the docks.

(Back at the docks)

Everyone turns to the large explosion wondering what is happening back with their respective leaders.

Link looks at the town with a frown on his face 'I didn't attack them, no new ships came in, so that must mean that they are fighting each other, while this could make my job easier I can't run the risk-off more people dying in the crossfire, time to get serious with his mind made up Link simply looks at the two hundred men loitering the docks, and flares his Conqueror's Haki it instantly sent all of them to the ground from the pressure of it, a few didn't knock out immediately but did a few seconds later, with them down for the count Link makes his way to the town square using the rooftops, he estimates he will be there in ten minutes.

(Town Square)

When Link reached the town square, he breathed a sigh of relief the townsfolk were safe for the most part, the same could not be said for the pirates most were dead leaving only four standing, two just barely holding themselves up while the other two seems no worst for wear, they were Bass and David, Brad and Jacob were critically injured from what Link could see.

They all turned to Link as he landed in the square, Bass stiffened as his gaze met Link's sharp Sapphire blue locked on to flaming red they stayed like that for a few moments before Link continued to stare at the others, David just released a resigned sigh at Link's presence he looked back at his two heavily injured crewmembers 'if a fight breaks out they won't make it, if we're captured we will be executed, I have to make sure those that remain life even if I can't' David thought as he assessed the situation he was in.

"Are you the one who killed my brother?!" Bass growls at Link.

"I destroyed both ships, the men you all sent to the docks are unconscious, everyone on the ships was killed, so that leaves on you four to deal with." Link said easily.

"I will kill you for this! Mark my words!" Bass shouts at Link.

"You will try to," Link retorts.

"Can we talk about this?" David asked drawing Link's gaze to him, David was silently pleading that Link takes him up on his offer.

They all feel Link's Conqueror's Haki wash over them, all the townspeople are rendered unconscious leaving only Link and the pirates awake.

"Talk." Link said to David.

"I know we can't escape you now, so I would ask that you let Brad, Jacob, and the rest of the crew still alive get away to safety," David said.

"What is in it for me?" Link asked.

"When our crew goes on raids, or on risky endeavors like partnering with another crew me and the captain store all our valuables on a small isle we found by random some years ago, it has all the treasure we have saved all over our years of being pirates, it's yours if you let them go if you save Brad and Jacob from bleeding out, and allow us them to keep the personal belongings of our fallen crew," David offered, he has made his pitch now he just hopes Link takes it.

"Agreed," Link says then reached into his pouch, and removes two medium-sized syringes full of a slightly glowing red substance, he throws them to David who catches them with a questioning look on his face, "Give them to your men, it's red potion syringes it will heal them of the most serious wounds they currently have," Link answers the silent question.

"Thank you," David says then walks to his crewmembers.

"Now, as for you Bass, I know you won't surrender si let's do this," Link said while pulling out his Lothric Knight greatsword and getting into a ready stance.

"Heh, I will kill you then kill those cowards who call themselves pirates after I get them to tell me where that treasure is," Bass announced with a greedy gleam in his eyes, he too gets into a ready stance with his flaming Claymore.

Bass is the first to move, he closed the distance between the two in less than an instant, he grips his sword with both hands then released a savage horizontal slash sure of the power of his blow Bass grins savagely, but he is taken completely by surprise when Link blocks his attack with casual ease, then Link raised a brow in interest as if he was surprised Bass was strong, this infuriated Bass so he re-engaged the fight with his anger fueling him.

Their attacks came like lighting slashes, thrusts, blocks, and parries, the clashes of their blades sends strong burst of winds through the town, to an inexperienced observer the fight would look equal yet to an experienced eye the truth of the fight becomes clear, Bass is simply not on Link's level as they fight continues Link's attacks become sharper more precise and deadly, more and more wounds start to litter Bass's body despite him trying to use his armament Haki to coat the areas before they are struck he just can't keep up to Link's movements.

'Why can't I hit him?!' Bass thought furiously as none of his attacks make it past Link's perfect defense, all he gets from attacking is more damage yet he refuses to back down for there is no way back from this battle he found himself in, as Bass looks at Link's sharp deadly eyes he knows he is dead the moment he slows down, or the moment he hesitates, Bass curses his stupidity for letting his greed and anger control him, he should never have challenged this monster to a sword battle but it is too late for regrets now.

Link was calmly assessing the battle, 'it's always intriguing how much stronger the humans in this world are compared to others, though his strength might be mostly from his devil fruit along with the fire coating his sword,' Link's thoughts are interrupted when his keen eyes notice something different about his opponent, flames seem to be building between his closed jaws.

Bass released a torrent of flames from his open jaws, Link was going to dodge the flames until he remembers that the unconscious townsfolk were behind him he couldn't move without them dying, so with a thought, he changed his tunic from green to red then rushed into the inferno.

'Is he insane?!' Bass thought seeing Link run into his fire breath, he could not make sense of the action that was until he felt a sharp edge of a blade tear through his throat his flames sputtered out with this new obstruction in his throat, at the end of the sword is Link looking perfectly fine as if he didn't just walk into the fire, with a twist Link decapitated Bass ending all the conflict.

Link walks to the fountain in the town square, he takes some of the water to help clean off the blood, bone, and flesh from his sword as he is doing this he observed the town, the fire set by the pirates have destroyed about a third of the town, dead bodies littered the ground some were starting to decompose based on the smell, Link guessed he could restore the bodies and the buildings so that the people could have an easier time getting back on their feet, he still has to finish his business with those three pirates are watching him like a hawk, the younger ones are nervous though they try to hide it their body language gives it away, the first mate is resigned to his fate even if he doesn't show it to his men.

Link finished cleaning his blade then stands, he motions for David, Brad, and Jacob to follow him as he makes his way to the docks, Link did pause for a moment to collect Bass's head for the bounty, as they were walking Link started to play a melody on his Ocarina he let the power flow through him and into the world around him slowly the town started to put itself back together by the time he reached the docks the town was fully restored, he ignored the awed looks from the young pirates as he approached the monolith of ice he made, the pirates stopped to look after their knocked out crewmembers.

Link placed his hand on the ice then let his magic flow through it, the ice around the dead bodies melted turning into water that then dragged the bodies out of the frozen tomb to gently lay them down on the restored docks, once all the bodies were removed the ice then got completely melted freeing the wreckage of the two pirate ships, Link played the melody again restoring the two ships to original condition, the men behind him were all waking up so he turns to them.

"Good that you are awake, now go aboard your vessel and return with most of your valuables, I have no interest in personal belongings or weapons but if you have any devil fruits on board you will hand it over or you will die," Link finished saying, no one moved for a moment then Link flared his killing intent scaring them into action.

"You know that we don't have any devil fruits on board," David said to Link.

"I know, devil fruits give off a certain feeling to my senses and it only triggered when I was near Bass so there are no devil fruits on this island as far as my senses can tell me," Link revealed.

There was a tense silence for a few minutes until Link broke it, "I am going to kill you, you know that right." Link said suddenly.

"I made my peace with it, so shall we go then?" David said.

"We shall," Link lifts his hand then concentrates the two ships are now covered in green glowing winds it was bright making it hard to see, the next instant it was gone so was the two ships.

"What did you do?" David asked there was an edge to his voice.

"I sent them to Sabaody Archipelago, they have each other and whatever treasure they had on the ships, they will be fine now let's go, I hope you don't mind flying?" Link says the last part with a humorous grin.

"Huh," David said confused.

(Three hours later, unidentified isle)

David was busy digging up his crews' buried stash, he would occasionally throw accusing looks at Link who is sitting casually on a fallen tree as he watches David work, Link had flown them here, literally flew them to the isle he had not informed him of this and spent the first thirty minutes laughing at David's screaming, he stopped when he remembered he needed David to point out the location of the isle the rest of the flight happened in silence, Link never explained how he did it not that David expected him to reveal his secrets.

Several minutes later, there was a load sound of a shovel hitting harden wood David had finally dug up the opening for the store room they built for their treasure, Link decides to help him now together they managed to clear everything out so that Link could asses all that was in there; there was around two dozen large chests filled with either gems, gold, or rare metals Link estimates the amount to easily be over eight hundred million berries, there was also about a dozen eternal log posts for Islands in the New World, but that wasn't the prize to Link that distinction was reserved for the four small chests that were hidden in a secret compartment away from the rest of treasure if it wasn't for Link's superior senses he would have missed it, David had a startled look when he saw Link approach the hiding place but released a resigned sigh when Link started pulling out small chests, all the four small chests had a strange fruit inside, one had a snake like scale pattern with two gold coloured leaves on top, one had a forest green skin with tree branch patterns, one had a colour of solid earth, and the last one had a blood red skin with patches of black, Link knew that they were devil fruits not that he knew what specific fruit they were but he respected the power they hold this was far more than he expected when he came here.

(Thirty minutes later)

Link has finished collecting everything he now stood opposite to David on the shore of the isle, Link had decided to give David a warriors death, so now they were both getting ready for a fight Link coating his hands in Haki, and David also coating his arms in Haki taking a fighting stance.

They were off in a instant legs colliding with each other in a high kick, both legs dropped straight down closing the distance between them, fists, palm strikes, and elbows were exchanged at high-velocity speeds all countered by fists, forearms, and elbows, the blows shaking the isle producing heavy gusts from the collisions, the Haki coating his arms is the only reason David is still in this fight without it his bones would have already been shattered by Link's blows, they switched to using their legs but the results are the same the longer the fight lasts the more damage David accumulated after the intense three-minute exchange Link was perfectly fine while David's body is littered with black, blue, and purple bruises, blood leaking from his mouth, and heavy breathing.

Link decides to finish it with a decisive blow, he spread his legs, squared his shoulders, took in a long breath, drew back his left fist, raised his right arm in a guard position, his fist blurs forward as he released the breath a sonic boom sounds out as it hits home in David's chest, David upper body minus his head literally exploded painting the shore in blood, organs, and bones, Link caught the head before it hits the ground then buried the remains and walks away leaving the isle in tranquil silence.

Link cashed in the bounty a few days later netting a total of 2.17 billion berries, he had to wait for the bounty office to prepare the money which took a few hours luckily for Link the beautiful office ladies were more than willing to help him pass the time, he made sure to leave them each a million berries to buy themselves something nice, then went on his way back to his hideout the island he restored in secret Ohara.
