Chapter Two: The Winchesters
When the team returned Ellie was still sitting in front of the cage talking to Loki.
-Meanwhile.-
The Winchester boys were sitting around the table talking about what happened with Ellie. When Cas came back.
"Anything?"
"I heard my name be called by her but I cannot reach her."
"What do you mean you can't reach her?" Dean yelled worried for his little sister.
"I mean she isn't physically here in this universe."
"She's in a different one? How is that possible?"
"When she asked me to bring her home something happened she just magically disappeared from my hands. She disappeared in mid-air."
"Huh that's never happened to her before."
"Normally she pops up here in the bunker."
"Maybe she doesn't see the bunker as home lately? She's been really down lately since we saw Loki again." Dean looked at Sam and Sam looked at him.
"She's with Loki!" They both cried out. "Loki!"
"You called boys?" The Winchester brothers looked at the man who left two weeks before.
"Is Ellie with you?" Sam asked.
"She's currently working with a shield Agent to bring her home to your universe. As much as she loves my home universe she misses you idiots."
"How long will it take to get her back?"
"I'll get back to you on that when I talk to the agents." When Loki disappeared Dean relaxed but Sam was still worried.
"She's fine Sam she's with capable people who aren't Loki."
"She's around him and she was already hurt when he left her heartbroken."
"Get over it she understood that he had prior work to do and even though she's with him wherever he lives she's around people who will help her get back home."
"Fine I concede to your all knowing mind." Sam chuckled taking a sip of beer.
-Back to the Avengers-
"Loki where are you?" Ellie woke up from her nightmare.
"I'm here love I had a chat with your brothers they're worried about you."
"I miss them. But I'm here and the agents are working on the new machine after the first one broke." Ellie sighed looking at him.
"It's hard I know darling but we'll figure this out."
"Promise?"
"I can't promise you but I can try."
Ellie nodded and cuddled against his side.
"Ellie we figured something out!" Bruce called from the intercom to upstairs.
"Coming Bruce." She walked downstairs in her favorite jeans and AC/DC shirt. "What's up?"
"We figured out a way to talk to your brothers it's temporary but it will work."
"How?!"
"It's similar to the book you told us about from your world."
"No way. You built the mirror from Harry Potter?!"
"Two of them one here and one that goes over there Loki if you could give this to the boys." He nodded. "This one is tied to Sam and Dean call one of their names his face will appear."
"My pleasure." He disappeared and came back. "They're waiting for your call."
"Sam Winchester." The faces of both Sam and Dean popped up. But it was staticky and choppy. "Sam? Can you hear me?"
"Hey munchkin!- How's - it with the - Avengers?"
"I love it but I miss home how's Jack? And Cas?" She stopped talking. "Did Loki tell you who I was with?
"Jack is good - Cas - Good they miss you - too." He nodded.
"Where are those angel troublemakers? And of course he did."
"We're here Ellie!" Jack smiled the mirror moved and she saw Jack talking to…Bobby? Which was the clearest thing I could see and hear
"Whoa what happened when I disappeared?"
"A lot of things. Umm - Gabriel died for real this time a different version - Michael killed him.."
"The troublemaker who borrowed my fake face is dead?" Ellie looked sad.
"Oh Gabe.." she sniffled wiping her face. "I'm okay what's Chuck doing now?"
"So far we don't know - we were worried - about you."
"I'm alright here boys I got Tony Stark looking after me like dad would have if he wasn't looking for that crazy demon." She sighed. "Until I get back to our universe you're gonna have to go about this as a duo not a trio. I love you boys bye Jack Bye Cas!" She hung up putting the mirror down and started crying. Wanda sat by her rubbing her back.
"Who's Gabriel?" Tony asked.
"Her best friend he got into trouble with my friends and I but last I saw him was that day. He was an archangel of her faith and I guess another version of their Michael from their universe killed him." Loki sighed.
"Oh honey I'm so sorry." Nat sat down and hugged Ellie while she cried.
"I told him I always told him to not follow my brother's anywhere he listened until he didn't and went to help them noble and stupid. Lucifer probably got into trouble and Gabriel went to help him like a good brother."
"Would you like to take a walk love?" She nodded and stood up and walked toward Loki as if she was in autopilot. "Darling it's gonna be alright." She nodded but she didn't believe it.
"He was my best friend Loki he said that he would be around to see me get married one day he's not here.." Loki held her tightly as she cried.
"How about I tell the boys and have them hold a memorial for Gabriel and you tell Jack all about your other best friend."
"Y-You would do that?"
"For you? I would move the world." She nodded hugging him.
"I love you Loki."
"I love you Ellie."
"Get back in here love birds our friend has to speak with you Ellie." Bucky called from the new watch they gave Ellie.
"Coming Barnes keep your hair on." Loki snorted when Ellie said that.
"There's the woman I love thought she was going to stay in autopilot all day." She laughed at his quip and went back inside the compound to meet the one man she didn't want to meet but was curious about. Nick Fury.
