It was storming out in a way that was something completely unseen in her short life. Things were being thrown around, warped, and disintegrating right before her young eyes. Her father had run outside, shouting at whoever was causing the freak storm to happen.

She was never scared when her father was there, but he left, and she was alone.

Suddenly something dark and sooty appeared outside the window for a brief second before being blown away.

"Daddy!" the frightened girl screamed, but it disappeared within the rage of the storm. She tried to get out from under the table from where she was hiding but was quickly pulled outside by an unseen force.

Outside her home was destroyed. Chaos was everywhere, sand sprayed across the air and landing in the pits of mysterious colored goo.

"Daddy!" she screamed again but was unable to locate her father. The wind was pushing her left and right, forcing her to hop to avoid the pits.

Just as things couldn't be worse in the poor girl's mind, the ground started to rip open like a seam torn apart in cloth. The roaring of the earth being torn into two was deafening. The young girl attempted to cover her ears, but found her balance was knocked loose and she fell.

Down.

Down further than she had ever fallen before.

Her vision went dark.

Before she lost consciousness, she finally heard her father calling out to her.

"Amaryllis!"

But then she knew no more.
