In the yugioh portion it takes place after battle city but before season 4, in fairy tail it's after the year skip of all of fairy tail disbanding. I decided to feature the opening to fairy tail 16th opening Strike back. If you know the opening then you might get the story for this but several things will be different of course)

Chapter 2 A magical development

The trio looked at each other. Yami clearly distressed and wanting to keep it under wraps about their identity. Joey skeptical about the whole thing while Yugi looked pleadingly at Yami.

"If the question is kinda... awkward you don't have to answer it right now." Lucy threw a look at her partner noticing the three males uncomfortableness.

"Uh yea thanks. We're kinda 'visitors' here so what's this place like? What do you guys do around here?" Joey asking a layered question so the mages try to answer it throughly.

"Magnolia is a beautiful town. Probably not as beautiful as some other places here in Fiore. We tend to go on missions to get paid or to spread our reputation. Most of the time it's to see new places or even..-" "even to fight some dark guilds or some thugs trying to steal or rob others using magic!" Natsu cut lucy off eagerly spouting off in his mind the most fun part of the job.

"Natsu! Don't do that!" His partner complained pouting as she looked at the pink haired male. He rub his head grinning at the blonde. "Ah, sorry Luce! Heh."

Joey looked at the two glancing from one to the other. "So Eh.. Magic? You guys said Magic right..?" He sweats a bit. It doesn't sound right that they're in a world filled with magic when the only magic he knew of was shadow magic, and only those in possession of a millennium item could even use it.

"Hmm you guys sound like you didn't know magic existed..?" Natsu walked closer to the two and started to.. sniff them.

"Dude what the hell are you doing!? Are you a dog or something??" Joey practically shoved Natsu away freaking out. Natsu landed on his ass from the shove grunting as he landed.

"Natsu's a special case." Happy interjected coming to his buddy's defense. "He's a Dragon slayer!" The trio by the door looked in shock, their eyes widen as they stared at the pink haired male but only Yugi could get his mouth moving.

"D-dragon what!?" Yugi stammers. Yami looked like he was about to faint in surprise.

"It's a type of magic here in Fiore. Tho only a few people actually have it." Lucy finished happy's comment. To her and Natsu and Happy it sounded like a normal deal, she didn't even think it would come off as strange.

Joey shoved Natsu away again as he tried to sniff his best friend. "That doesn't explain the sniffing!" Natsu glared at Joey. "Oi, stop shoving!"

"You wanna ass kicking you got it pinky!" Joey got in his face glaring at the male. Lucy ran to the two and shoved them both back. "Hey knock it off!" Natsu easily pulled Lucy behind him.

"These guys don't smell right... like I can smell magic on them but it's not normal.." Joey looked at Yugi and Yami who exchanged looks of their own.

"Is it what I think it is..?" Yugi looked at his former spirit partner. Yami rubbed his jaw thinking. "It maybe possible that this worlds laws might've enhanced whatever shadow magic the puzzle may have..." he muttered low so Yugi could hear.

Natsu cocked his head to the side unintentionally listening to the two talking.

"Huh? What's this about this worlds laws..?" Lucy looked at Natsu confused by his question.

"O-oh nothing! S-so you can sense magic?" Yugi sweats hard just realizing that the dragon slayer could hear their words even in a whisper.

"Mhm and it seems each of you have a bit of magic. While...Yami.. was it..?"

Yami blinked in surprise when the slayer pointed at him. "He's got the largest out put next to.. Yugi was it?" The shorter male standing next to him nodded.

"While your buddy here is more enhanced by magic than actually using it." This caught Joey off guard as he looked at the pink hair male in front of him.

"You think.. we can use magic..??"

Back in their home dimension Tea Tristan Bakura and Mokuba were hard at work trying to figure out how to fix the transporter. Thankfully the workers employed at Kaiba Corp were first on deck to see what went wrong.

"It looks like something sparked a malfunction to happen. A very bad short in the components box which would take time to replace and fix."Mokuba groaned heavily. He didn't want to wait around. He wanted to find Kaiba as soon as possible.

Tea Bakura and Tristan feeling like a burden to the problem and told Mokuba to keep in touch about the repairs as they walked out of the corporate building.

"So Joey and yugi and also Kaiba got mixed up in another adventure again. Those guys always seem to have all the fun!" Tristan scratched his head half ass muttering.

"Tristan! They aren't even in the same universe as us! What makes you think that's fun!?" Tea yelled at the taller male her face scrunched in annoyance.

Bakura sighed brushing his white hair out of his face watching the two bicker. "There's not much we can do for the three of them until Mokuba can fix the portal. But how about lay off the bickering. What are we gonna tell yugis grandpa?" The two freeze and relax all the frustration slipping out of them as they both look at Bakura.

Tea crossed her arms sighing. "Your right Bakura. We better go see him."

Tristan rubs his head his brow filled with worry. "Grandpa is understanding in these situations. I mean crazier things have happened in our lives damnit." With that said the three make their way to the Gameshop owned by Yugi's grandpa.

It was an out of the way kind of shop not much surrounding it except a small grassy field with the path leading towards town. The open sign was on the door as Tea turned the knob and opens the door. Inside was all kinds of duel monster cards, rare unique or even normal it was loved here by Yugi's grandpa.

The older Muto was on a step ladder dusting some of the higher shelves with his back to the group.

"Grandpa Muto!" Tristan called out making the old man turn slightly to look at them.

"Ooh hey kids. Yugi's not here. I think he left with Joey to go test something of Kaibas. That Seto Kaiba is always the insistent one. So what can I do for you three?" The older male climbed back down the ladder.

"A-actually we have to tell you about that... there's been an incident..." the three sit down with their friends grandpa and explain what happened in the security video.

"I wonder who that person in those black clothes are to begin with... but to be able to use Light magic to get away. This person is definitely a pure being that knew what they were doing."

The three looked at each other before looking at the old man. "Mr Muto what's this about light magic?"

The old man crossed his arms thinking. "Light magic is the source of everything good, just like shadow magic is everything that's pure evil. Shadow games works using shadow magic to take the souls of the living. Light magic tho a very rare case can give souls back. Light magic only comes when a person of pure heart has gone through shadow magic and still has a pure heart as a result. I wouldn't be surprised if my grandson has light magic."

Tea looks confused. "Y-you make it sounds as if Magic could exist.." the brunette looked skeptical at the older gentleman.

"In our world magic is not as common but in other worlds, dimensions possibly could be able to use magic more throughly than we can. It could exist in Nature in animals or even in normal people. It could be given or taken away. Magic is a strange thing. We aren't so lucky to not know it, tho our world has Shadow magic running wild because of the millennium items and shadow games."

Tristans jaw dropped a bit in surprise. "Wow grandpa your sure insightful."

The older gentleman laughs whole heartedly at the boys comment. "Ah thank you Tristan. I'm just a very intelligent old man. So all we can do is wait for young Mokuba to get the portal fixed and find their location. But don't worry Yugi and Joey have each other along with the Spirit of the puzzle."

The three students thanked the older male and excused themselves from his shop as they walked out. Bakura looked at his ring. "So we just gotta be patient. Let's just head home and start thinking of what to do when it's ready."

The two brunettes nodded as they walked in different directions.

'Sounds like we're sitting ducks until that damn portal is fixed...' yami Bakura grumbled. Bakura rolled his eyes as he starts walking. "It's all we can do."

Elsewhere..

A light portal opened up in a grassy field as the black figure ran through it. They looked behind themselves to find Kaiba had followed them.

"Damnit! Where the hell have you brought me?" Kaiba took heavy breaths looking around. To Kaiba it looked like a valley of grass with ruins everywhere.

"Welcome to Fiore, Kaiba-San.." the figure now that Kaiba had a better look at them, was shorter than him with a hood over their head wearing basically a black robe with skinny pants and flip flops.

"Fiore..? What is this place!? Where is this place!?" He spun around looking all over. Everywhere he looked it was a large grassy plain.

The person grew quiet looking at the male through the hood faint tears forming in the persons eyes with nostalgia. This Kaiba was different from the one the figure knew.. but that Kaiba was long gone.

"Your friends are here.." Kaiba looked back at the figure. He grit his teeth and clenched his fists. "Where are they!? Where's Wheeler and Yugi??" The figure pointed behind him. "Follow the path that way. Get a ride to a town near the ocean, a place called Magnolia. They are there." The figure turns away.

Kaiba reached towards the person. "Who are you damnit! I want answers." The figure dropped their hood and turns to Kaiba. Kaibas eyes went wide and his jaw dropped to the ground figuratively.

The figure held a finger to their lips as a shush response. "See you soon Kaiba-San.." the figure vanished into a portal of light once more. Kaiba dropped to his knees unable to comprehend what he just saw. He grit his teeth stood back up and turned to walk through the grassy field away from the ruins.

'I better find you guys there, Yugi.. because this whole situation is once again revolving around us again.. and this time we might not get home..' Kaiba thought as he makes his way out of the grassy field..
