Chapter 2:

"ya look lovely, have to break some legs tonight wont aye." He purred as he kissed her, his teeth grazing her bottom lip.

"oh, stop worrying clarence."

"I ain't worrying love, im protecting what's mine. Horny buachaillí, can't stand em."

Bella grinned as her lover threw his dress shoe covered feet unto her dashboard. Meeting him had been a complete accident. It had been on a rare day when the whole family had been out, and Bella had been left alone. It was only for an hour, but it had been a life changing hour. There had been a knock on the door and when she opened it, she gasped. Standing on her doorstep was a vampire with the greenest eyes she had ever seen. She had no clue they could have green eyes.

The first thing out of his mouth was "I was here for Carlisle, but you'll do well love." And then his lips met hers.

It had completely thrown her for a loop. Who was this guy? Why was he here? Why hadn't Alice seen him? And why hadn't she stopped kissing him? For the first time ever, Bella had felt electricity when a man kissed her. Not caring that she was kissing a total stranger, Bella just went with it. For once she stopped thinking and followed her instinct.

It turns out his name was clarence. He was a hybrid vampire. Half human half vampire. His father was a vampire and his mother had been a human before she was changed. His mother was from Ireland and was the sister of Siobhan, the leader of the Irish coven. The first few years of clarence's childhood was not happy. His mother had not wanted him she hated him and around the age of ten, she had left him at his aunt Siobhan's doorstep. The Irish coven had helped raise him before clarence realized he needed to know his father. He had felt like something was missing and needed to figure out why. It took him a year or two, but he had found his father at the age of twelve. His father had been shocked but more than accepting. Once he found his father, clarence had gained a stepmother, two aunts and two uncles. From then on they raised him to be a prince, but he never really went into detail about it., stating he wasn't ready to reveal who his father's family was. Anyway, over time Clarence had been introduced to Carlisle. The latter being fascinated with Clarence's genetics. And that's how they had met, just by a simple wrong person answering the door.

For now, Bella and clarence wanted to keep their relationship on the down low from both their families, not because they didn't trust them but because it was still new and didn't need any interference.

Glancing up, Bella smiled at her mates handsome features. He had green eyes and platinum blond hair. It went all the way to his back. She had caught women ogling him all the time, but it didn't bother her. He was hers.

"how's ye schooling going?"

"it's going fairly good. Im enjoying my classes. How about you? How's the multi-millionaire business going?"

"hmm. Busy as always. "

Bella laughed at Clarence's lack of interest in his own affairs.

"Clare, if you don't like it why do you do it." She asked.

"family says I need something to do. "he shrugged.

"you own multiple business around the world and that's not entertaining?" Bella questioned sarcastically.

Clarence chuckled.

"I found something better."

"yeah, what's that?"

"mores like whose that." He said seductively as he nibbled on her neck.

Bella groaned.

"clarence… we don't have time…"

"we got just enough…"

….

Carlisle sighed as he leaned against the boulder. He could tell his family was having a great time. It wasn't that they didn't miss the center piece of their family, but all families needed a break from each other every now and then. That was why his youngest daughter was so insistent that they go.

They needed just a small break from each other.

With Bella's depression and suicide attempts over the past year, it had taken a toll on them, especially jasper. He was proud of his son. Through it all he had stood by his sisters side, helping her through her emotions and not once had he run away.

Jasper stopped wrestling with Emmett, to smile at his adoptive father. Feeling the pride radiating off him.

"darling?" Esme approached.

"hmm."

"try not to worry so much. You heard what Aro said. Bella needs us to see that we trust her. If she sees we trust her, shell be more than willing talk about her feelings." Esme told him.

Carlisle however couldn't help but worry. They hadn't been in Canada long, but he could see that Bella was getting better. However, with the holidays soon approaching them, he faired that his youngest daughter would relapse in her emotional and mental devastation. While her emotions were somewhat stable, it didn't mean that all was well. Bella still had nightmares. They weren't every night, but it was enough to keep his coven on edge.

Carlisle shook his head. His wife was right. Bella was getting better. Her therapy sessions with Aro were helping as well. He had been reserved about allowing one of his closest friends to counsel his daughter, but she needed it. Every two weeks, Bella and Aro would have a few hour phone calls or facetime. All the sessions were in private and none of them had any clue what the two talked about. It made him grateful for getting all the bedrooms and offices in the new house soundproof. That way everyone could have their space. The only rooms that weren't soundproof were the kitchen, living room and anything outside. It was new feeling to have people knock and even then, that didn't keep Emmett or Alice barging in from time to time.

Speaking of the latter a squeal of excitement was heard from her as she began to jump up and down.

"Carlisle! Carlisle!" she shouted in excitement.

"yes, Alice?"

"Garrett finally proposed to Kate! She's going to ask me to plan the wedding! Oh jazz! We must get back the house! Im sure charlotte would love to help! Let's go!"

Without waiting on a reply Alice was gone before their eyes.

"speaking of Denali…Eddy boy how's Taaanyaa?" Emmett teased as he dropped jasper and jumped over to Edward.

By now all ears were on Edward as the coven sat on the ground, waiting.

"we are fine Emmett. Why don't you mind your business."

"I'll mind my business when you stop bothering my little sister. Don't think we didn't hear you trying to talk to her before left. You need to leave her be Edward. She offered you friendship, now take it. Besides have you considered how Tanya might feel if she found out you were still pining after Bella. Don't blow this Edward. Tanya really cares about you, don't …don't.-"

Emmett trailed off allowing his thoughts to finish the rest of his sentence. However, everyone already knew what he was going to say.

They didn't want Edward to ruin this relationship like he did the one with Bella's. Making decision before he consulted his partner. Only looking at himself and no them.

When Bella hadn't accepted Edward back with open arms, it had taken his son for a loop. While he hadn't expected Bella to forgive him easily, he hadn't expected her to shut him out either. But she had. She had moved on and wound up with another broken heart anyway. He didn't blame Jacob, but it still hurt to see her hurt and then when Tanya and Edward had announced their relationship slash not relationship to their respective covens. Bella didn't even blink, she simply nodded and smiled.

Once again, Bella didn't react how everyone expected her too. Especially Edward, he had thought getting with Tanya would push Bella back to him, but it failed.

He didn't know if his daughter would find love again but if she did, whoever the man was, he would have to get past Carlisle first. He wouldn't see his daughters heart broken any longer.

With a shake of his head, he gestured towards Edward.

"come on Edward im sure our cousins would love for you to play for their wedding."

Edward sighed.

"fine..."

…..

Bella laughed as she passed down drinks to her customers.

"come on Izzy! When are you gonna go on a date with me!" randy asked as he adjusted his collar.

"oh randy…its so sweet of you to ask but…you couldn't handle this..." she winked as she took the glass from him.

Randy was speechless.

Looking up Bella winked as her lover watched on from the V.I.P section.

He owned the club, not that her boss knew that. He preferred to send a proxy when things needed to be done and on days like to today, he would pretend to be a rich customer and see how his staffed treated him. It gave him a direct line to what they needed to fix in each of his clubs.

"Isa!" Brandy hollered. Brandy was a good friend and co-worker. As soon as Bella joined the team, Brandy took a liking to her. It was nice to have human friends again.

"yeah?"

"can you take these drinks up to the V.I.P section? They specifically ask for you. Let me know if they are being jerks. I will have Tony throw them out, millionaires or not."

"yeah, no problem. B"

Bella took the drinks and confidently walked up the stairs to the V.I.P room. She stopped in front of security as they kindly asked her to wait.

Five minutes later, she was let in. The air was filled with cigar smoke and loud music. Continuing in she politely asked her customers if they wanted a drink. Every man she asked said yes, finally she came to clarence surrounded by men who looked desperate.

"Please Mr. C, we need your support?" one of the men pleaded.

"and why should I give ye me money?" Clarence questioned, his green eyes flashing.

"your support will help us expand and make you a very rich man." Another man said with pride.

Clarence gave the man a cold stare.

"Is that it? It will make me rich? And help you expand?! You don't give a rats arse about the people your stores are serving do you! Get out of my face! Matter fact all of ye GET OUT !"

The men didn't take a second glance as they all left the room.

Bella turned to go but an arm, found its way around her waist.

"nach breá leat" he whispered to her.

Bella didn't know much Irish, but she at least knew when he was addressing her.

"are you alright?" she asked.

"just frustrated. All these guys care about is money and making a name for themselves. They don't care about those around them or how there business should be a support to those around them. All of clubs have a charity of the managers choice that we donate too. I opened a few family friendly places for people in poorer neighborhoods, but these bastards just don't get it. Its not about the individual. Anyway, how are you? Your shift over yet? You've worked a lot hours."

"mm, I got 30 mins left."

"I see. When your done, want to go horseback riding?"

"horse back riding? In the middle of winter?" she questioned.

"yes indeed. It's my favorite pastime."

Bella smiled.

"alright but I've never been. So, if I break a leg, it's your fault."

….

Bella held tightly to the reigns as she urged her horse faster.

She was so close; she knew she was going to win!

It was cold out, but it was beautiful. The moon was high, and the waves were crashing. It was wonderful.

She had never ridden a horse before but being up this high was thrilling! She could see almost everything!

"come on girl, we have to beat the boys!" she encouraged her horse.

Her horse neighed in response as she approached her target.

She was so close! She just about had the flag when-

"Darn it! Clarence! I had it!" she complained as she stopped her horse empty handed.

Clarence brought his horse to meet hers as he waved her flag in the air.

"too slow! I won."

Bella rolled her eyes.

It had been clarences idea to play capture the flag on horseback and truthfully, she enjoyed.

"fine, fine you won. Now it's getting kind of cold..."

Clarence nodded. It was time to go.

"so, how's ye coven?" he asked.

"there doing good. I know they are glad to leave forks behind them and they don't have to repeat high school. Dad, decided that high school wouldn't be an option for a few decades." She laughed. "its more of a fresh start for all of us."

"…you call your coven leader dad? Isn't that weird knowing that you have a father?"

"no, same reason you call your stepmother, mom. Charlie may be dead, and he was good father but…Carlisle really stepped into that role. I know he isn't trying to replace him, but it comes just a tad bit easier. There my family. So, how's your coven? Or covens? Is it weird being a part of two of them? I have heard about the Irish coven but the other…"

"im not ready to tell ye about my fathers family, not because I don't trust ye but…sometimes my fathers family rubs me the wrong way. And I….I want ye all to myself before I ye get swept away my covens dramatics. Especially me Aunt Siobhan, she's very protective. If I don't call often, she will track me down but then so will me stepmother. Im grateful to have em. Ye told anyone bout us?"

"nope not yet. Like you…im...enjoying It just being us for a while. My past relationships were always getting mettled in my others." Bella confessed.

Clarence smiled at her as she glanced up at him.

"race ye back to the stables!" he shouted suddenly breaking the quiet.

"what! clarence! no fair!"
