Having a Honest Chat
"When will the other parents get here?" All-Might asks Nezu. The teachers agreed that shrinking down the amount of people who will be watching was a good idea. Only close friends, All-Might, Aizawa, Nezu, and relatives will be allowed to watch.
"Mr. and Mrs. Bakugo are here, The Uraraka's are on their way, Endavour has allowed for Mrs. Todoroki to be released for a time being and she with her children are present, Endavour will be here as soon as he can, and the Yaoyorozu's are flying back to Japan as we speak." Nezu says. He takes a sip of his tea. All-Might sighs. He picks up the paper that Hatsume and Melissa have made with the history of world AOT. They still don't know about Paradis, Devils, and what the connection it has to Izuku but it thoroughly explains the world.
"This world seems rather freighting… and dark." All-Might says.
"So was Mr. Midoriya when we saw him." Nezu states.
"I don't believe that Young Izuku became…" He motions to the photo paperclipped to the paper. "…This King of the Demons."
"I believe that is what we are going to find out." Nezu says. He puts the tea cup down. He stands on the table and walks to where All-Might was sitting. "I will be making a short speech before we start viewing again. But I want to re-iterate to you, One for All will be shared during these viewings. That is inevitable." All-Might nods. The blond-haired man with glasses stated that Izuku was the holder of One for All. "We, of course, will be holding them to secrecy. They will not be allowed to tell anyone outside of the room besides the other 1-A students and teachers what they have seen."
"Understood sir." All-Might says. Nezu claps his hands once.
"Excellent. Let's get started." Nezu happily says.
"You seem too happy about this sir." All-might examines. He gets up and holds out his hand. Nezu hops on. All-Might moves him to his shoulder. All-might walks to the lone door.
"I want to know about this world and how the students adapt in this environment." Nezu says. "After all, adaptability is key of being alive."
"Not a hero?" All-Might asks, stopping in front of the door.
"I don't believe there will be heroes in this world the students are in. Only humans fighting for survival." Nezu says sullenly. All-Might pauses with his hand on the handle for a moment. He pushes the door open.
Mrs. Midoriya and the Bakugo's were sitting together. Mitsuki was annoyed with her son, making them worry, but there was genuine fear in her eyes. Masaru was trying to console her and himself. Inko was looking frustrated at her phone. By them were Rei, Natsuo, and Fuyumi Todoroki listening to Iida, Tsu, and Kaminari explain what happened to Shoto. Rei looks more and more sad as she listens. Natsuo tries to comfort her but is really frustrated and concerned. Fuyumi sits with her head down, staring at her feet. Aizawa stands by Kirishima, and Jiro near the back. Kirishima staying rather quiet and Jiro twirling her earphone jack around, looking very worried. All of them look to Nezu and All-might as they walk in.
All-Might walks over to the podium where the computer holding the video is set up. Melissa sits in the swivel chair, typing on her laptop. Nezu hops off All-Might's shoulder onto the podium. Everyone watches the Principal. Nezu clears his throat.
"There isn't a place to begin. We have lost five students to something that neither I nor anyone could have foreseen. We will feel helpless as we watch these children grow up over the course of this process. What I do want to say however, is to not judge them by our standards. We think in heroes and villains, World AOT thinks in fight or die, no other choices are available. Please keep that in mind, as I believe that we will see some terrible choices being forced upon these children. Hatred can easily make even the best of men and women… cruel." The small audience starts to feel a bit worried. Nezu coughed into his hand. "That being said, I have Miss Shield recording our reactions and taking notes on their experiences during this process. If anything becomes too graphic or dark, you are more than welcome to take a break and step outside for a moment. We also don't know how long this will last so be prepared to stay for an extended period of time. Are there any questions?" Several people raised their hands. "Miss Asui?"
"Why are we not waiting for Ochaco's parents?" She asks.
"Majority rules. Since the majority is here we will get started. If, heaven forbid, anything happens to Miss Uraraka or Miss Yaoyorozu, we will stop so that their parents can watch. Mr. Kirishima?"
"Why can't our classmates watch with us?" He asks.
"They are watching in a separate room with the other staff. This viewing is for close family and friends. Mrs. Todoroki?"
"When will we be able to see them… in person?" She asks quietly.
"We do not know that yet but we are working with some of the best scientists and engineers in the world to figure out a way to go to them." Nezu looks around, no one else had a hand raised. "Since there are no more questions, let us begin." Nezu turns around. He hits a couple keys and the video starts.
"Eren, Izuku, I am the Armored Titan and Berthold is the Colossal. We need both of you to come back to our home with us." Reiner says. Berthold and Eren stares at Reiner in shock. Izuku keeps a passive face. He then looks away.
"Are we dropped into another big plot point with no context?!" Kaminari exclaims before getting stabbed by Jiro's jacks.
"Not a TV show." She hisses at him.
"I don't think young Kaminari means it in a negative way. We don't know the people that they are with or what is truly going on. The only context we have is the future scene we just watched and this scene." All-Might clarifies. Kaminari points at All-Might. Jiro shakes her head. Aizawa stares at the screen.
"How many human controlled Titan's are there?" He asks himself and the others.
"Four have been seen or mentioned so far." Iida states.
Nezu nods along "I have a feeling that there will be more.".
"Eren looks so…" Tsu starts.
"Not traumatized." Inko answers. "He and my boy haven't been through as much as when we first saw them…"
"Something did happen to both of them however…" Masaru says.
"Cut it out, this isn't you." Eren says. He places a hand on his shoulder. "You're just tired, that's it. Can't think straight." Reiner's eyes widen in horror. Eren looks over to Berthold. "Help me out here Berthold. Your nerves are shot, you don't know what you're saying."
"Yeah, It's the battle fatigue talking." Berthold desperately stammers out.
"See, you're fine. If you really were the Armored Titan then what was the-"
"Eren…" Izuku says. The three look over at him. He raises his head, showing tears in his eyes. "Stop lying to yourself."
"What the hell do you mean stop lying to myself?!" Eren cried out, pleading for Izuku to stop.
"What person, no…" He looks at the taller duo. "…What warrior would lie about something this big." Berthold gasps and Reiner looks away, staring at the ground with a thousand-yard stare.
"Another interesting choice of words." Nezu ponders.
"He switched from person to warrior." Aizawa thinks out loud. "And it had an effect on them."
"He knows more than we do." Nezu agrees.
"Wha-what are you saying?!" Berthold asks shakily. Izuku wipes his eyes and gives him a single laugh.
"I know where you're from. I know who you are. I know why you are here! I know that you are to blame for her death!" Izuku shouts. Berthold looks scared, Reiner continues to stare at the ground.
"Oh no…" Aizawa says terrified. Everyone tenses in the room. The students and teachers have a suspicion but doesn't want to say it out loud. The parents and siblings begin to get worried.
"What does he…" Fuyumi starts to ask.
"I will not confirm what we are thinking until we possibly see it happen." Nezu states.
A lot of scouts are watching over their shoulders now. Mikasa has a hand by her ODM gear. Katsuki stands beside her, palms facing behind him. Historia stands in the middle of them, watching nervously. Momo slowly unbuttons the bottom of her shirt. Shoto taps his finger on his sword, breathing heavily. Armin stands by Hange, Sasha, and a taller teenage girl with red short hair and brown eyes. Other scouts are mixed in with Hange and Armin.
"What are you saying Izuku?! Stop blaming them for-" Eren starts.
"You asked us to come with you." Izuku states with authority, ignoring Eren. "Instead, you will come with us. I will not take no from you." Izuku turns around. "Come on, Let's go."
"There he is!" Mitsuki shouts. Masaru sighs in relief. Rei puts a hand over her heart. Fuyumi puts a hand on Natsuo's shoulder. Natsuo nods.
"About time he showed up." He says.
"Uhh…" Tsu started.
"Not yet." Kirishima said, growing more worried.
The wind picks up. The flag snaps off and bounces down the walls. Eren gasps and looks over. The echo of the flag rings throughout the quiet day. Everyone pauses. The tension is palpable in the air. The clouds start to go away as sunlight pierces through. Mikasa stares at them, one hand clenched around her sword. Katsuki turns around fully, palms facing behind him. Izuku motions for him to wait. Izuku turns halfway to look at the taller duo and Eren. The piano starts to pick up.
"Why is there music?"
"Something big is about to happen."
"I'm worried."
"He knew this was going to happen." All-Might says.
"He knew of them, but not the situation that they would bring it up." Aizawa corrects him.
"Mr. Midoriya is becoming… something different." Nezu reflects. "He's not a hero here, but he's not a villan."
"He's a leader, and a survivor." Inko says, watching her hurting son. "He's not the boy I remember."
"I don't think any of them are." Mitsuki agrees.
"That's the problem isn't it." Reiner says as he watches the ground. Eren and Berthold turn to look at him. "I've been here to long for my own good." Izuku turns to face him fully. "Three years of this madness, surrounded by these idiots. We were kids, what did we know about anything." Eren turns to look at Izuku. Izuku stares at Reiner's back. Eren looks back to Reiner. Berthold watches his friend in shock and worry.
"Why did there have to be people like this?!" Reiner holds back tears. "Why did I let myself devolve into a half-assed piece of shit!?" Eren looks at Reiner's arm in his sling. He moves the sling over his neck and off from around his neck. "It's too late now! Damned if I know what's right anymore!" Shoto and Moblit turns to face them. Shoto pulls his sword, and takes a couple steps forward. Momo stops his progress. "It is what it is. No choice but to face what I've done." Reiner holds his arm up, steam coming from the bite wound as it heals. The scouts gasp in shock, seeing it. Katsuki grits his teeth and his palms slowly light up. Historia watches in fear.
"As a Warrior, no roads left but the one that leads to the end!" Reiner exclaims. Eren stares in shock of what he's seeing. Izuku watches this with a blank expression, but his eyes showed the pain he was feeling.
"Reiner, right now?! Here?! We're doing this?!" Berthold shouts at him.
"Transforming into their Titans?" Kirishima asks worried.
"Seems like it." Jiro says as worried as the boy besides her.
"Shouldn't Izuku be putting a stop to this?" Mitsuki asks.
"From what Shoto has told me about Midoriya, I believe he is waiting for the right moment." Rei answers.
"He would jump in without hesitation… if this was our world." Inko clarifies "Izuku looks like he has a plan for this moment. He's more calculating… and cold in this world."
"Pain can make one closed off." Nezu adds "The only way to not be hurt is to stop feeling."
"He hasn't stopped feeling… He picks his moments." All-Might concludes.
Reiner starts walking towards Eren who is stuck where he's standing in shock. "Yes, right here, right now! We settle this once and for all!" Eren watches him walk to him. Mikasa appears from behind him. She quickly closes in on him to kill Reiner. Reiner gets his hands up to block the swords from reaching his neck.
Katsuki starts to run towards Berthold. Izuku stops him. "Let me go you fucker!" He shouts.
"Let them play there cards first." Izuku says coldly. Katsuki stops to look at him. Izuku looks up at him. "We'll play ours after words."
"You mean?!"
"This will be the first time using your quirk at full power in almost six months, it will hurt." Izuku says turning back to Mikasa holding a sword at Berthold's neck.
"Eren!" She shouts "Get out of here!" Reiner slams into her, pushing her off the wall. She catches herself with the ODM gear and stands on the face of the wall.
"This is to graphic." Fuyumi says, half covering her eyes.
"This is the world they live in." Nezu says "Do not judge them for surviving."
"They haven't used their quirks in six months?" Iida asks.
"There has to be a reason for that, but why did he ask Midoriya to come with him?" Aizawa says.
"I think we will figure that out in the future, but what we will see something extraordinary next." Nezu answers.
"Berthold!" Reiner shouts. Berthold slowly raises his head and kneels behind Reiner. Eren stares at them, not able to move. Lighting shimmering in his eyes. They stand together, lighting sparking off their bodies.
"Eren, Izuku!" Armin shouts. "Run away!" Reiner stands, determined as lighting sparks around him. Berthold kneels him, scared. Lighting comes from the clouds and hits them. The wind picks up as Armin and Sasha were blown away. Scouts, crates, and barrels were blown back. Historia flew back before Izuku caught her. She looks up at him. He smiles sadly.
"I won't let you go." He says softly. She watches him, then looks around him. Momo pierced a sword into the floor and holds on. Katsuki does the same. Shoto's feet have ice around them as he blocks his face from the wind and smoke. She looks back to Izuku who was staring forward.
Ribs puncture the sides of the walls. Eren barely holds on with his ODM gear. He looks up. A giant head and torso with no skin, lifts itself off the floor with debris and lighting surrounding it. The Colossal Titan lets out a roar as the Armored Titan, a large titan with plating covering its body, raises up. Eren flies off the wall as he can't hang on. A brown plated hand grabs him. He grunts in pain then looks up. The hulking Armored Titan stares at Eren.
"What the fuck?!" Kaminari shouts.
"Language!" Iida scolds. "But I share the sentiment."
"That one is huge!" Natsuo shouts.
"It's called the Colossal for a reason." Tsu states.
"They said 'F' it just transformed on the wall?!" Kaminari shouts again in disbelief.
"It looks like the Colossal only half transformed." Nezu points out.
"How big could it get?" Aizawa asks rhetorically.
"I think we might find out in the future." All-Might grimly answers.
"Who is that girl?" Inko asks herself.
"I don't know but Izuku seems to have good taste." Mitsuki says jokingly, nudging Inko. "Cute grandchildren are in your future Inko." Inko blushes lightly. Rei laughs lightly.
"Still no-" Tsu starts.
"Don't." Kirishima cuts her off. "Don't say it yet."
The Colossal reaches over everyone. Armin watches his hand go over him. Historia looks back to where he was reaching. A gurney holding a freckled teenage girl flies away. The Colossal grabs it. "Ymir!" Historia shouts.
Momo watches the hand with anger as The Colossal retracts it. The wind starts to die down. Reiner jumps off the wall and plants his feet into the side, sliding down with Eren in tow. "No!" Armin shouts.
Eren clinches his teeth as his hair and some debris whip by him, tears in his eyes. He closes his eyes. Good memories of talking with Reiner and Berthold pass through his mind. "I'm going to reclaim my home which was taken from me." Reiner says in one. "I promise you that."
Izuku watches this all unfold. He closes his eyes. Memories flood his mind. Eri on his shoulders as they chase Mirio. Tamaki struggling to tell him about his quirk as Izuku writes down anything he can. "You two were like them." He says. Historia looks at him confused. "I looked up to them… that passed onto you."
Eren opens his eyes and rage fills them instantly. "Damn you!" Eren shouts as he bites his hand. Reiner's hand is blown away as Lighting sparks around Eren as he transforms into the Attack Titan. "You traitors!" He screams in his Titan form and launches a punch at him.
"I'm going to cry." Kirishima says in between sniffles.
"He really did look up to them." Inko says as she wipes away a tear. "I am so sorry Izuku."
"They both did. Eren couldn't accept it, but Young Midoriya could. I would feel that it would have been the opposite when he was in our world." All-Might says.
"I think it goes back to the fact that he knows more than Eren." Nezu states. "He specifically said warrior to get reactions from them. He then ordered them to come with him."
"This isn't the Midoriya we knew at all." Jiro says.
The punch lands and Eren punches Reiner into the wall. They slide down and crash onto the ground. Mikasa watches in frustration. "Why didn't I slice their goddamned heads off?!" Reiner gets up but starts backing away from the wall. "What is he doing?"
Izuku opens his eyes. Dead eyes showed back. The Colossal is watching him cautiously. The Izuku put Historia down with one hand but holds onto her with the other. He slowly raises his hand in the air. Shoto and Momo look at him in shock. Katsuki starts stretching. "Are we doing this Izuku?!" Shoto asks.
The Colossal starts to swipe at him. Everyone besides the quirk users and Historia, who wanted to run, runs away. "They played their cards. Time to show ours." Shoto steps in front of Izuku. Bakugo steps towards the wall. "Shoto, take Berthold. Kaachan, take Reiner. Momo, get equipment prepared for the others."
"What are you saying?! They can't fight them one on one?!" Historia shouts. Izuku looks at her then back up.
"Those three have always been stronger than me." Izuku says as Momo starts to create medical supplies, ODM gear and swords, gas canasters, and other necessities from her stomach. Shoto stretches his wrists and ankles as he stares down Berthold with cold hatred. Bakugo baseball stretches as he stares down Reiner with a sadistic smile but revenge filled eyes. "In so many different ways, mentally, physically, emotionally, instinctually, they are so gifted." Izuku puts his fingers together. Historia looks over the quirked four in awe. "One of them could take down these two easily."
"Does he not know what a badass he actually is?" Kirishima asks.
"He's had bad self-esteem since elementary school." Inko states sadly "He'll say 100 nice things about others yet he can't accept one complement from someone else." Mitsuki grits her teeth and looks away. Masaru looks down, wringing his hands together. "I should have done more to help him."
"Are we going to ignore the upcoming badassness that is about to happen?!" Kaminari exclaims, "Shoto and Bakugo are about to destroy!"
"They might do more than destroy them." Natsuo says, "I've only seen Shoto this angry when it comes to our father."
"Even then he couldn't act on it." Fuyumi adds, "He's not going to hold back."
"Bakugo always looks like that, but there is something different in his eyes." Tsu states.
"He has an ulterior motive than just proving he is the best." Aizawa answers, "He wants revenge."
"They all do." All-Might finishes.
"Main the traitorous bastards." Izuku says as he snaps his fingers. At the same time, Shoto shoots a wave of ice at Berthold and Bakugo fires an explosion behind him, launching himself at Reiner.
The ice pierces everywhere on his torso and head. Todoroki lets out a cold breath as Berthold was frozen in shock. "You killed Daniel, Mina, Ally…" He walks towards Berthold, the ice from his right side, melting off as he walked. "…Gherig, Mycah, Jordan…" He raises himself up using ice to come face to face with Berthold. Inside the Titan Berthold is terrified. "…Willard, Nicolas, Marco, and so many more." He stands on a pillar of ice, staring down Berthold. Fire sparks from his right, and Ice from his left. Hatred burns in his eyes. "So, forgive me when I mutilate you so much that you wish I had killed you!" Ice shoots and pierces the Colossal's eyes, jaw, chest, and neck. Inside the Titan, ice had pierced the four joint connecting Berthold's arms and legs to the Titan. He roars in pain.
Reiner and Eren look up to see Katsuki shoot towards them. Reiner steps back in shock. Katsuki thrusts his hand's forward. He braces his right forearm with his left hand. "Howitzer Impact!" He shouts. An explosion bigger than one he had ever produced came forward, ingulfing Reiner in flames, and death. Trees flew away, the ground scorched, and the light brighter than the sun. Katsuki shots back towards the wall at a blistering speed. He grunts in pain as Eren catches him. Katsuki grunts as he stands up. He looks at his handy work. Reiner lays on the ground with cracked armor that slowly falls off his body and charred muscle. The look of shock on his face as the armor falls off. Inside the Titan, Reiner stares forward, stunned. Katsuki growls and fires himself forward. Katsuki lands on Reiner's chest. "You think you are so tough, but you ain't shit! For all the shit that you put your teammates through, to think that you could take care of it all yourself. You failed him, you failed her, and you failed yourself. I hope it was worth it."
"What… What happened in this world?" Rei asks looking towards Nezu and Aizawa, "What made my son become this way?"
"Why does him saying this instead of screaming makes me worried about him." Masaru states. Mitsuki nods along, frightened for her son.
"We… we don't know yet." Aizawa answers, looking at the parents. "I can't tell you why your sons ended up like this, all I know is that we will see what had happened soon."
"He lost so many people." Fuyumi says depressed.
"He was so violent." Natsuo states.
"He seems more disappointed than angry." Kirishima says.
"He put emphasis on 'her'. Did someone tame him?" Jiro half jokes.
"It seems like Mr. Midoriya is not the only one who has been torn down by this world." Nezu says.
"This world seems to be having that effect on them. I hope none of the other students go through events like this in our world." All-Might adds.
"Pain and suffering are inevitable." Nezu finishes.
Bakugo shoots up the wall holding onto Reiner's limbless body. Shoto slides down an ice ramp with a limbless Berthold and an unconscious Ymir. They both stop in front of Izuku and Historia. Eren uses the ODM gear to climb up the wall. Bakugo throws Reiner's body down in front of Izuku. Shoto does the same with Berthold. Historia runs to Shoto and helps him with Ymir. Hanji and Armin walk towards the three quirk users, watching them in trepidation. The scouts were refilling their ODM gear helping others with injuries and scrapes, and packaging supplies with Momo's creations. Eren lands and Mikasa hugs him. He doesn't acknowledge it as he watches downed Titans and the quirked three.
Berthold stares straight up, frozen in fear. Reiner leans up slightly to look at the three. Shoto melts the ice on his body with his fire as he stretches his wrists. "It's been a while since we've went all out."
Katsuki messages his forearms and stretches his neck. "Tch. We didn't even need to. Shit was too easy." Berthold seizes up. Reiner lays his head down. Izuku steps over him. He watches him for a second before kneeling down. Little room between their faces.
"I told you, I would not take a no from you." Izuku says. He stands up. "Come on Warrior, a friend wants to have a chat with you." Two pairs of scouts with gurney's run towards them. They lift the downed Titans onto the stretchers. Izuku watches them go. He then follows them from a distance. Katsuki and Shoto follow, the latter helping Historia with Ymir. Eren watches them all leave. His eyes narrow in frustration.
From deep in the forest a giant ape Titan watches in anger. A hooded man on its shoulders. The ape grunts. The ape turns around and walks deeper into the forest. The man looks back, dry skin, red eyes, and some blue hair is shown. He turns back and faces the forest. The screen fade to black.
"What the fu-"
"Language!"
"-ck was Shigiraki doing with a giant monkey?!"
"Who was this friend that they need to talk to?"
"Was that ape a Titan shifter as well?"
"Why was Eren staring at them?"
"Was he angry?"
Nezu claps his hands "Now now… Let us calm down and gather our thoughts." A moment of silence "Now, I think it would be best if we wrote down our questions. I have said this several times but I believe that most of them will be answered in future viewings." He turns to Mei. "Miss Hatsume, can you rewind to a point near the beginning."
"Right away." She says. Nezu turns back to face the crowd.
"Let us have patience as we are all viewing this for the first time." He says. A stagnate silence settles over the crowd. He turns back to the large screen. "I wonder what we are viewing next?"
AN: I am not overly proud of this but I wanted to show a couple things. That Izuku was not the only one changed by this world, how over powered quirks are in this world, Izuku and Historia's relationship (don't hate me for this, it works for the story. I love Ymir and Historia together, it just works better for me.), Katsuki and Shoto's power in this world (Momo will be a badass too, don't worry.), Eren's feeling of inadequacy (Imagine being told that you are humanities hope, and liking that, but these random people from a different planet are saving your world, you are slowly becoming obsolete) Izuku loosing more people (Heavy implication on who's lost already), and Katsuki's relationship with a certain someone (Will be explained more in later chapters). I want to keep it as close to canon as possible but I realize that I absolutely can't do that with this world. I also realize I am not focusing on the scouts at all.
