Artie was sitting at his desk , Steve was looking through Claudia's file and Pete and Myka had just got back from a mission When they got a new Ping "aahh a new ping " Artie said from his place at his chair " Awww but we just got back from one Artie" Pete whined
"Pete , stop acting like a child this is our job you know" Myka reasoned . "Fiiiine , What is it Artemis?" Pete said " We have a ping in Boulder Colorado , Apparently a 4 1/2 year old girl survived a car crash when the driver suffered fatally "
"Why do you think this is an Artifact ? just sound lucky to me" Steve said from the corner " Well normally i wouldn't consider this an Artifact except the girl survived without a single scratch the babysitter was driving her home and crashed the car " Artie said "now i would consider that an Artifact , the girl is currently at the Hospital with her mother , you will find her under the name ... Olivia..Weisfe... " Artie mumbled
"What Artie? what's her last name? " Pete questioned "Weisfelt.. her last name is Weisfelt " Artie finished . Steve and Myka across the room gasped
"What ? what's wrong with Weisfelt? " Pete asked "its just her last name " "Pete that's Artie's real last name , Arthur Weisfelt " Myka whispered
"oh , OH , so its a relative then?" Pete said "No , my family doesn't live in Colorado , this is someone else , go Find out who it is , they would have to know me , using the little girl for Leverage" Artie said "Steve go with them , i can handle the research on my own "
"But my Partner is still gone, you want me to be the Third agent ? " Steve asked "Did i Stutter ?" Artie said
"Guess we should all go pack" said Myka "Guess so , Come on Jinksy " pete said
A short plane ride later the team was in Colorado Hospital
"Alright Myka you stay with Steve and i will go talk to the child " Pete said "Wait why do you get to talk to the child? i want to " Myka replied
"Guys why don't we all go talk to the child " said Steve , as they walked to the front desk "Secret Service , we are here to see Olivia Weisfelt " Myka said
"Sorry but visiting time is over " said the nurse
"Please we have to get her statement " Pete pleaded " other wise we will get yelled at by our boss who said get there before visiting time is over"
"Well alright , wouldn't want you to get yelled at , Room 135 but be careful the child is resting " the nurse said
"Thank you very much ..Natalie you have a good night now" said pete
"Alright room 132 ...133...34...35 here we are , alright i will go in first and see if she's awake" said Myka , as she walked in the room she saw the bathroom light on thinking it must be where the mother was she left it alone . She looked at the bed and there was the little girl looking back at her
"Well hi there , my name is Myka Bering im with the Secret service can i ask you a few questions? " the little girl nodded " alright are you Olivia ?"
another nod " can you talk?" a very quiet "yes , but not around people i don't know " " that's ok you can just nod yes or no , have you come into contact with anything old recently ? " and a nod yes " you have where is it? " another quiet " my mom works at an antique store " " oh so everything is old there ... do you mind if i bring my friend in here he's right outside " she left the room "Pete come in here with me she doesn't talk to people she doesn't know " Myka informed him "Alright i'll go talk to the kid " Pete entered the room "Hi , I'm Pete im Myka's friend , she said you dont talk around people you dont know thats ok , i have a joke for you ok? " a slight nod " ok , why did the cow cross the road? , to get to the udder side , do you get it ?" the child had burst out laughing at the joke " it was really funny , you remind me of my mama " the child giggled out " oh i do , can i meet your mama? i wanna talk to her , if thats alright with you " , another nod and the child was trying to get out of the bed " Mama the man wants to meet you " a woman comes out of the bathroom and looks at pete " who are you and why are in my daughters hospital room? " " im sorry Ma'am but im with the Secret service...What is your name ma'am ?" the woman looks confused then answers "Claudia , Weisfelt , whats yours strange man in my daughters room? " the wit is still there he can see it " Pete Lattimer , excuse me while i go get my partner " pete left the room and saw Myka " Where's Steve ? " "He went t get coffee why ? " Pete grabbed her arm and pulled her into the room " Myka i would like you to meet Claudia Weisfelt "
