Here is the second chapter of Naruto's adventures through the multiverse. After leaving Earth-38 and making a new friend and ally, Naruto continues his journey through the multiverse to get back to Earth-1. But he still doesn't have the multiverse travel mastered yet and winds up on an earth and time that isn't very hospitable to people. Enjoy!
Everything I grew up believing in was a lie. My parent's work, Dr. Wells, all of it was not at all what I thought to be. The day I was struck by lightning, it restarted my life and I protected my city with the help of my friends and partner, The Flash. Over the course of a year, I learned the truth about my parents and their work that got them killed. I avenged their death, but the mastermind is still out there. Unfortunately, things got even more complicated as Dr. Wells turned out to be the Reverse Flash, an evil Speedster from the future who came back in time to exact revenge against Barry but in the process, the people he hated ended up being his ultimate lifeline home. In his final act, Central City was nearly destroyed and, in an effort, to save it, my friend and I were thrown into an alternate world. With no way back now, I will use my speed to help the people of Earth-2 until I find a way home. My name is Impulse, and this is my story.
Adventure through the Multiverse: Part 2 Guess the future isn't that great
Earth-21-Year 2149
This earth was covered in flora and fauna galore with woods and vegetation as far as the eyes could see. Birds chirped in the trees as a mother deer and its child were grazing on some grass when a blue portal flickered into existence, sending them away in fear. A white and crimson blur rushed through the portal and skid to a stop as the portal shut behind him. The blur stood up to reveal it was Naruto in his Impulse suit. Naruto stopped as he looked around and took off his mask.
"Whoa, talk about vegetation." Naruto said, enjoying the beautiful landscape but was confused as to where he was. He held out his arm and pressed a button on his gauntlet making Gideon's holographic head appear. "Gideon, where am I?"
"You are on Earth-21. This earth was not dissimilar from your own but nuclear war nearly drove this planet extinct. Current levels read that the plant life and local ecosystem have adapted to the new radiation levels. However, the level of radiation is dangerous to normal humans, but your accelerated healing factor is keeping you safe from the radiation." Gideon told him.
"Great, not home or Earth-2 and I'm here on apocalypse world. Just what I need." Naruto said as he looked around and smelt the air. To his amazement, he found it surprisingly clean for a world that was supposed to have been nearly wiped out by nuclear warfare. He quickly got out of his suit and got redressed, leaving him in his regular clothes with the exception of his goggles which were still on his head. On quick adjustment and fix of his pack and he was set.
"Gideon, any nearby town?"
"My sensors are not picking up any cities or towns nearby, but they are detecting body signatures to the east. Three of them." Gideon replied, bring up a small radar that showed three blips in the distance.
"Ok, maybe they can help." Naruto said as he followed Gideon's route that led him through the woods. Not wanting to risk spraining his ankle by tripping over a root or rock, he decided to take it slow and walk. Which normally would be immensely boring, but he was actually enjoying himself because the last time he did something like this was a school fieldtrip to the Central City Botanical Gardens. Naruto kept walking and enjoyed the peace and quiet when he heard something.
He continued on and saw two kids, probably the same age as Roy with ropes around their hands and were tied to a horse. They looked like they had been through hell and were being dragged by a man wearing clothes out of a crappy version of Mad Max.
"Hey! Immortan Joe!" Naruto shouted as he stepped into the clearing. The kids looked at him as the man unsheathed his sword. "I don't suppose you can tell me where the nearest Big Belly Burger is?"
"Die Skaikru!" The man charged at him with his weapon.
"Guess you're not the friendly type." Naruto commented, ducking under the sword, and doing a hip throw. The man quickly got up and swung at Naruto, but he ducked and dodged with ease. He then punched the man three times in the gut, punched him across the face, kicked out one of his legs, grabbed his arm and threw him to the ground again. The man got back up and growled as he swung the sword down, but his arm was grabbed, twisted at the joint and his sword was taken. Naruto elbowed him in the face and then roundhouse kicked him, knocking him out cold.
The kids were shocked as Naruto stared at the man and at the sword. "Nice try there, Conan." He threw the sword down and walked over to the kids as two more walked out of the woods to join them. "Hey, you guys ok?"
"Yeah, thanks." The taller, short-haired one said as Naruto undid his restraints and free the other guy. "Who are you?"
"The name's Naruto. Who are you?" Naruto asked, freeing the other kid.
"Bellamy. That's Finn."
"Please to meet you both." Naruto said.
"Behind you!" Finn shouted as Naruto turned and saw the man had gotten back up, grabbed his sword and charged. Naruto was about to react when a bullet hit the man in the back and came out the front. He dropped to his knees as another bullet shot through his head and he fell to the ground, dead.
"Freeze!" They heard as men with guns marched out of the woods and pointed them at him and the kids.
"Whoa, easy! I don't want any trouble!" Naruto held his hand up, not wanting to cause any more trouble until he knew what the hell was going on. The man in charge walked over to check the grounder was dead and he was before signaling the others to come out.
Bellamy staggered a bit, so Naruto supported him. "Easy, Bellamy."
"I'm fine. We need to get back to the dropship." He told Finn as a woman ran over.
"Hey. Where's Clarke? Is she all right?" The woman asked Finn.
"She was when we left. We'll take you to her." Finn said.
"Wait, slow down." Marcus told him as he walked over to Sinclair. "Sinclair, we're splitting up. One guard detail comes with me to the dropship. Everyone else here goes with you to Alpha Station. You have the coordinates, we'll follow as soon as we can."
"Yes, sir." Sinclair responded.
"Any word from Jaha?" He wondered but Sinclair's expression told him all.
"No, not for the last hour." Sinclair responded as he led his group away.
"Ok. You six with me. You two, lead the way." Marcus ordered.
"What about me?" Naruto asked as they looked at him.
"You come with us. We have some questions for you." Marcus told him.
"Fair enough. I just need some answers." Naruto replied, walking with them. Marcus and Abby were curious about the kid who saved Finn and Bellamy because they didn't recognize him as one of the 100.
"You're almost there, Abby." Marcus said to her.
They walked through the woods when Naruto noted that Finn and Bellamy needed to recover so he opened his bag and pulled out a water bottle. "Here, guys drink." Naruto said as he handed them the bottle.
"Thanks." Finn took a swig and then handed it to Bellamy who did as well.
"So, what did you guys do to piss him off that guy?" Naruto wondered.
"He's a grounder. Us being here was reason enough for him." Bellamy said.
"Grounder? What like he lives in the ground? Not a very clever name." Naruto replied with a nonchalant attitude which confused Finn and Bellamy.
"Where the hell did you come from? Farm Station?" Finn asked but that made no sense to Naruto.
"Yeah, I don't even know what that means. Let's just say that I'm not from around here."
"Where are you from?" Marcus asked, looking over Naruto and noticed he wasn't dressed the same as they were and seemed perfectly clean and healthy. "How have you survived down here if you didn't come with the 100?"
"Yeah, to be honest, I have no idea what any of that means either. I'm just soaking things up as I go. Suffice it to say, I'm not from around here. But I'm not here to hurt anyone. Just here to get some answers." Naruto explained as they kept walking when he saw some dead bodies up ahead. "Jesus, what the hell happened here? It looks like a warzone."
"You could say that." Finn remarked as they walked forward and Naruto saw that some of the dead seemed to be the same age as Finn and Bellamy.
"It's too quiet." Bellamy muttered, cautious that up ahead was a trap so Naruto pressed his watch and opened up his radar sensor which detected two body signatures up ahead.
"There are two people up ahead." Naruto told them as everyone got a look at the holographic radar projected from the watch. "Two body heat signatures but one's really weak."
Bellamy was ready to move but Marcus stopped him. "We'll take it from here. Banks, Scalan, you two stays with them. We'll signal once it's safe." Marcus said when he looked back at Naruto. "You're coming with us."
"Roger that. Follow me." Naruto walked forward and they followed. They walked through a makeshift wall and were greeted to the sight of ash, burnt wood, and charred skeletons. Suffice to say that Naruto wasn't expecting this. "Jesus, what the hell happened here?"
"Nothing good." Marcus added, moving to the drop ship. Naruto pulled the tarp back as Marcus pointed his gun and they saw two kids on the ground, hurt but alive. Abby walked in and saw Raven on the ground.
"Help her." Murphy said as Abby rushed over.
"Raven. Raven, honey it's Abby." Abby tried to wake her up and she did but was really weak.
"Clarke's not here." Raven managed to say. "I don't know where she is."
Abby's heart was dashed as Marcus and Naruto saw her. "What happened to you?" Abby asked. Raven managed to pick her head up and looked at Murphy.
"I got shot." Raven said as Naruto knelt down and checked her pulse.
"Her pulse is really weak." He reached into his backpack and pulled out the emergency medical kit his mother gave him.
"Who are you?" Raven asked.
"Your guardian angel come to rescue you." Naruto joked as Raven actually chuckled but then groaned in pain.
"Oh, don't make me laugh." Raven told him. Naruto opened up the kit and pulled out a syringe and a small vial of liquid.
"What is that?" Marcus asked.
"Morphine. She's lost a lot of blood, her skin's going pale and she's getting weaker. This will help her stabilize and dull the pain, so we can move her." Naruto said as he filled up a syringe and was about to give it to her when Marcus grabbed his hand. "Dude, she dies if I don't."
"Abby." Marcus said as she looked at the needle and at Raven.
"Give it to me." Naruto gave it to Abby, and she injected her with the morphine. It would help but Raven needed medical care. "We need to get her out of here."
Naruto nodded as he reached over to Raven and picked her up while Marcus helped Murphy out of the dropship. Naruto then saw a stretcher in the corner and grabbed it. "Help me with this." He said as one of the guards walked over and helped him. They laid it on the ground next to Raven. "Ok, easy."
They gently put Raven on the stretcher and carried her out of the dropship. Bellamy was being arrested while Finn ran over to Raven.
"Raven." Finn grabbed her hand and was happy to see she was alive, but she was in bad shape.
"She's lost a lot of blood. It's a miracle that she's still alive." Abby told him when she noticed Finn looking at the dropship. "There's no one else here."
The guard and Naruto put Raven down on the ground as Abby made sure Raven was stable enough to move. "I don't suppose you have any IV fluid with you?" Abby asked so Naruto opened his kit and pulled out a small IV bag. The bag was roughly the size of his palm but despite its size, IV fluid anywhere was a godsend, but she was not expecting that.
"What? It pays to be prepared. And you asked." Naruto replied. She wasn't looking a gift horse in the mouth, so she inserted the needle into Raven's arm while Naruto held up the bag. The IV fluid would help Raven replenish her fluids and keep her stable to move. Naruto watched over Raven while Abby walked over to the side of the ship and carved a message.
"Abby, get ready to move out." Marcus told her as Naruto and a guard lifted up the stretcher and carried Raven. "We got to get there before dark."
They moved through the woods for a few hours and managed to make it to a large clearing where Naruto saw a massive metal ring structure looked like the International Space Station crashed into the clearing. "Whoa."
Naruto had seen some things but never anything like that. They walked to the structure where bunch of other people who were organizing scrap metal and clearing the area as someone walked over to Abby.
"Treat the critically wounded first. Everyone else can wait." Abby said as she then turned to Naruto. "Follow me."
Naruto nodded as he and the guard followed Abby to a tent where a makeshift hospital bed was set up. "Ok, on three. One, two, three." They slowly moved Raven onto the bed so Abby could get her situated and look at her wound. Raven's eyes fluttered open and saw the blonde, spiky haired mystery guardian angel who was next to Abby. He was putting her IV bag up onto a hook and checking the bag to see it was about halfway done.
"Hey, my guardian angel." Raven said as Naruto looked down and smiled.
"Hey, how are you feeling?" He asked and saw she managed to crack a smile.
"Better than before." Raven told him. Abby was looking over Murphy and saw Raven talking to Naruto.
"How about another shot of morphine for the pain?" Naruto wondered.
"Oh, yes please." She replied so Naruto put his pack on a chair and took out his emergency kit and the vial of Morphine. "Does my guardian angel have a name?"
"Naruto. The name's Naruto." He said as he inserted the syringe of morphine into her IV drip. "Nice to meet you, Raven."
"Back at you. So, where are you from? I don't recognize you from the Ark." Raven muttered.
"And you wouldn't. I'm not from around here." Naruto told her. He noticed her confused look when it began to level off. "Morphine kicking in?"
"Oh, yeah." Raven said as Naruto chuckled. "Thank you."
"Don't mention it. Saving people is kind of my job. Just take it easy. From my own personal experience, you've lost a lot of blood and been through a lot of pain. Right now your body needs to rest." Naruto told her and she nodded.
"Yeah." Raven closed her eyes and soon drifted to sleep.
"Impressive bedside manners." Naruto heard from behind. He turned and saw Abby hand off Murphy to a guard. "I'd almost mistake you for a doctor."
"I'm not technically one but trained by one of the best that I know. And I've been in a few bad scrapes, so I'm use to this kind of thing." Naruto replied.
"Well, thank you. If it wasn't for you, I'm not sure Raven would have made it. Dr. Abigail Griffin." She held out her hand and Naruto shook it.
"Naruto Namikaze, pleasure to meet you."
"I know this must all be a shock to you, but I have to ask. What are you doing here?" Abby asked.
"Would you believe me if I said I was just passing through?" Naruto asked but she shook her head no. "Yeah, I figured that much."
"Where did you come from? You weren't on the dropship with Clarke or the others. And you're not a grounder seeing as how you're dressed. How have you been alive on earth for so long?" Abby asked before looking down at his watch. "And where did you get that?"
Naruto looked down at his watch and held it up. "I made it. Well, technically I improved it."
"You're an engineer?" Abby asked.
"Mechanical engineer and theoretical physicist by study. Electrical, biomedical, structural, chemical and military engineer by training." Naruto said and she looked impressed. "I'm a multitasker."
"How old are you?" Abby wondered.
"23." Naruto replied. "Now, I know you have a million questions to ask but can I ask now?"
"Sure."
"What the hell is going on here? Why does this place look like a destroyed space station? And why are their Mad Max inspired people walking around and trying to kill people?" Naruto asked. Abby was a little taken back that he didn't know anything, and he genuinely seemed lost.
"You don't know?" Abby asked.
"Like I said, I'm not from around here and I mean that literally. The only reason you guys found me was because I saved Bellamy and Finn from that grounder." Naruto said.
[Gunshot] "What the hell?" Naruto and Abby ran out of the tent as Marcus and a bunch of the guards run to the edge of the camp.
"There, it was right there!" A man shouted.
"Does anyone see anything?!" Major Byrne asked.
"Who was there? How many? What did they look like?" Marcus asked.
"I don't know. I'm sure I saw someone move." The man replied.
"You sure you saw something move? It could have been a deer." Naruto told him.
"You opened fire? That could have been the kids." Abby rushed over to check but Marcus stopped her.
"Abby, no. We'll sweep the woods." Marcus said, getting her to stop before looking at the worker who fired the gun. "In the meantime, who issued you that weapon?"
"I did, sir." Byrne said as Marcus took the worker's gun and walked up to her.
"From now on, only members of the guard get guns." Marcus ordered before addressing the entire camp. "Unauthorized use of firearms will be punishable as a felony under the Exodus Charter! Is that clear?!"
The camp replied yes as Abby walked up to him. "Marcus. Search the damn woods." She told him so Marcus nodded to Byrne.
"Let's move out. Teams of three. Radio back in five-minute intervals!" Byrne shouted as they moved to the woods. Abby and Naruto went back to the medical tent to check on the other patients. Abby checked over Raven while she was asleep, and Naruto helped a few of the injured. He knew was he was doing, and they just had some cuts and scrapes, so he bandaged them up. Abby was thankful for the extra hand. Finn came in and sat next to Raven, wanting to make sure she was ok.
Raven woke up soon and felt the morphine wearing off. "How are you feeling, Raven?" Abby asked.
"Awesome." Raven said.
"She's lying." Finn told her.
"Morphine's wearing off." Raven commented when she saw the look on Abby's face. "I know that face. Just spit it out, Abby."
"The bullet is still shifting. That's why you're in pain. I was hoping that it would stabilize by now." Abby said.
"So, how about you take it out?" Raven asked.
"Raven, we need to talk about that. The bullet is pressing on your spine. If we leave it in, you'll live, but you'll never walk again." Abby told her.
"Then take it out." Raven suggested.
"The surgery could kill you. We have no equipment. We have no anesthesia."
"Will I walk again?" Raven asked.
"Maybe, but you'd be awake the whole time. You'd feel everything." Abby told her.
"Sign me up." Raven replied.
"Wait, Raven you could die." Finn told her.
"In zero-G I didn't need my legs. Down here I do." Raven told him. "Take it out."
"I have another idea." Naruto said as he stepped forward. "Let me examine her and see if I can remove the bullet."
"Naruto, while I appreciate that, you're not a doctor." Abby told her.
"I know I'm not. But my skills right now could very well save her life." Naruto told her. He walked forward and pressed a button on his watch causing it to open up and formed his gauntlet around his left hand.
"Whoa." Finn, Raven, and Abby were amazed that he had technology that could do that. Naruto pressed a button and a beam of light shot out from the palm base and scanned Raven's body from head to toe. When it was complete, he grabbed his phone from his pack and pressed a button as a holographic image of Raven's body was displayed and the bullet was located next to her spine.
"Ok, the bullet is near the L3 Lumbar Vertebrae of your spine. From my scans, it hasn't hit the bone, which is a good thing because if it did, you'd be paralyzed from the waist down." Naruto told her, while checking the damage the bullet had done.
"Why do I feel a but coming?" Raven asked.
"But the shifting is causing the bullet to tear nerve endings and muscle walls. The longer that bullet is in, the more damage it does." Naruto informed him, before rummaging through his medical kit. "Come on, where is it?"
Naruto took out the morphine, other vials, a spare IV bag, syringes, and even vials of venom antidotes trying to look for something. "What are you looking for?" Abby asked when Naruto pulled out a small leather pouch.
"Found you." Naruto opened the pouch to reveal 8 small green colored vials. "Ok, Raven. So, you can listen to Abby and have the surgery that could kill you."
"Or?" She asked, a little hopeful there was an alternative that didn't leave the bullet in her back.
"Or I can get that bullet out and give you a special serum I helped design. If the damage isn't too severe, it should heal most of the damage that bullet did. It worked for me once. If you trust me, I can help." Naruto promised as Raven looked at him, then at Abby and back at him.
"Do it." She told him and he nodded. "You've been on role so far, guardian angel. Don't mess up now."
"Wouldn't dream of it." Naruto assured her before looking at Finn and Abby. "Put her on her front."
Abby and Finn moved Raven on her front and took off her shirt. Naruto filled a syringe with the green colored liquid until the vial was empty and set it aside. He walked over and saw the dark red blotch on her skin where the bullet was.
"Ok. Raven, I'm going to take the bullet out. Now, you might feel a bit weird but try not to move." He told her.
"Ok." Raven replied, closing her eyes, and taking a deep breath. Naruto looked at the holographic image and double-checked he was at the right area before vibrating his hand.
"What on earth?" Abby said out loud as she saw Naruto's hand vibrating right in front of her. Naruto then moved his hand down and it actually passed through Raven's back.
"ARGH!" Raven shouted in pain, feeling something moving in her back.
"I'm sorry, Raven. I almost got it." Naruto pulled his hand back and stopped vibrating it. He opened his fist to reveal a slightly dented bullet. "Got ya."
"How did you do that?" Abby asked.
"A long and complicated story." He said as he grabbed the syringe. "Ok, Raven. I'm giving you the serum now. It'll put you to sleep while it heals the damage the bullet did."
Naruto inserted the syringe into the darkest spot of the red clot on her skin and administered the serum into her bloodstream. Once Naruto finished giving her all of it, some of the redness began to fade which signified the serum was doing its job. "Whew. Point for miracle science." Naruto remarked.
"How did you know that would work?" Finn asked.
"Personal experience." Naruto replied before deactivating the hologram and throwing the syringe away. "She'll be asleep for a while now. She's through the worse of it."
Finn sat down next to Raven as Abby looked at Naruto. "Like I told you before, I'm not from around here." Naruto remarked.
Line Break xxxxx
Naruto sat down in a chair in the medical tent eating a high-calorie energy bar to keep his metabolism up as he just finished with the rest of the people who needed help. Abby left shortly after to go wherever she did so Naruto helped the other people in the tent with injuries. Nothing severe, luckily, just a lot of bad bruises, cuts and a broken bone but he managed to help them, and they were fine. Naruto looked and saw that Raven was still asleep and Finn hadn't left her side. He must have been her boyfriend or something. Naruto stood up and peaked outside the tent and saw the residents cleaning up all the wreckage.
Naruto felt a bit of remorse for these people. Their world was nearly destroyed in nuclear Armageddon and when they try to settle and make some semblance of normal lives they're attacked and trying to kill each other. The worst he's dealt with were metahumans and aliens. He's never been through what these people had and even thought it wasn't his world and he didn't belong here, he felt that he had to help them. If he had the powers to, shouldn't he?
While Naruto was in the tent, Abby was talking to Marcus about what she witnessed. "What do you mean he took the bullet out of her spine?" Marcus asked.
"I mean, I saw him vibrate his hand and actually pass it through her body and pull it out of her. Marcus, whoever he is, he is not from the Ark." Abby told him. Marcus spared a glance at the medical tent where the mystery man was residing.
"What do you think he wants?" Marcus wondered.
"I don't know. He came with us willingly and helped save Raven. He clearly doesn't know where he is but he's unique. The technology he has is beyond what we have here. It shouldn't be possible."
"Whoever or whatever he is, he's skilled. I saw him fight that grounder with his bare hands. He clearly has training and knows how to use it." Marcus said. "He could be a threat."
"Maybe, maybe not. If he was a threat, he wouldn't have saved the kids or Raven. Why would he do that?" Abby asked.
"To gain access to our camp. He could be a spy for the grounders." Marcus pointed out.
"I'm not a spy." They heard as they turned around to see Naruto eating what looked like a bar of food. "If you have questions, the best thing to do is just ask."
"All right, who sent you?" Marcus asked.
"No one sent me. Like I said, I was passing through when I heard Bellamy and Finn being taken. And I helped them because it's what I do." Naruto answered but saw that they didn't look convinced. "Suffice it to say, I'm not from around here."
"Then where are you from?" Abby asked and saw Naruto take a moment to think over his answer.
"If I tell you the truth, you'd never believe me. And I can't lie to you because I have no idea what the hell is going on." Naruto said before wrapping his energy bar and having Abby hold it for him. "Probably best to show you."
"Show us what?" Marcus asked so Naruto walked over to the center of the courtyard with Marcus and Abby following him.
"What I can really do and where I'm from." He said, looking at all the scrap metal and debris everywhere. "All this scrap and heavy debris will take a long time to move and your people aren't in the best condition. I can help with that."
"How?" Abby asked when she saw him smirk. His eyes flicker with electricity and soon he became a blur of white and crimson lightning. He zoomed all over the camp as the residents backed away in fear when he rushed past them, cleaning up and organizing the debris and scrap metal. The guards all aimed their guns, but he was moving too fast for them to keep track as Naruto cleared the entire courtyard in a matter of seconds and then finished putting together the fence around the perimeter. In the span of about 2 minutes, he did all their work for them. Naruto then slid to a stop back in the spot where he started and clapped his hands free of dirt and dust.
"Ah, job well done." Naruto said as he looked around and saw all the scrap and debris was by the ship nicely organized and the courtyard was flat and clean. He looked back to see everyone starting at him in shock and awe. "I'm a speedster from another earth. I'll let that soak in for a second. Now, I need to go back and check on my patient."
Naruto walked up and took his energy bar from Abby before heading over to the medical tent while everyone else was still frozen in shock and stared at him in amazement. He walked into the tent to see Raven waking up and she looked better. Her skin was beginning to gain its color again.
"Hey, how are you feeling?" Naruto asked as he walked over to her bed.
"Better, but it feels like someone yanked my spine a bit." Raven remarked.
"Yeah, that may have been me. But the bullet's out and you're ok." Naruto checked the IV bag and she was done with most of it, so Naruto grabbed another from Abby's station and replaced it. "The IV fluid will help you get your strength back, but you should still take it easy for a while."
"She will." Finn stated as Naruto looked at him.
"For now, let's see how much you healed." He activated his gauntlet and scanned her body again.
"What is that?" Raven asked, never seeing anything like that before.
"Cool, huh? My own design. High-tech gauntlet made of retractable nano-metal. It basically replaces a supercomputer." Naruto explained and saw the scans of her body showed a lot of the damage done by the bullet was healed up. "Well, it looks like you're healing up nicely."
"That's a good thing, right?" Finn asked and Naruto nodded.
"Yeah." Naruto replied when he noticed something, so he checked an area on her left leg that still showed nerve damage. "But there's still some nerve damage in your left leg."
Naruto disabled the hologram as he pressed his finger to her left foot. "Can you feel that?"
She shook her head no and began to freak out. "Ok, tell me when you feel something." Naruto said moving his finger up her leg and scrapping.
"There." Raven said as he stopped just above her knee.
"Ok, the nerve damage is primarily located to below the kneecap." Naruto muttered.
"Will I get better?" Raven asked.
"With time. For now, you'll need crutches." Naruto told her. "But you're alive."
"But I'm crippled." Raven said with tears running down her forehead.
"I said for now." Naruto walked over to his pouch and pulled out another green vial. He mentally kicked himself because he only had seven left, but she needed it more than he did so he took one out and filled a syringe with half a vial.
"What is that?" Raven asked, seeing Naruto fill a syringe with something.
"This is the serum I gave you after I took the bullet out. It's what healed the damage the bullet did. I'm going to give you a small dosage to your leg and it'll help accelerate your body's natural healing process. If the damage isn't too severe, it should enable you to walk in the future." Naruto told her.
"How do you know?" Finn wondered.
"Because it was used on me before. My entire right leg was shattered in a really bad fight. Bone, muscle, nerve walls, everything was destroyed, and I shouldn't have been able to walk. This serum is what helped me heal and repaired the damage done. It took time but it worked." Naruto recounted. After his fight with Zoom where his right leg was destroyed, the serum was part of the reason he can move again.
"How long?" Raven asked.
"I don't know. It's different for everybody but with time, you'll walk again." Naruto promised.
"Do it." Raven said so Naruto inserted the syringe into her leg and administered it into her bloodstream. Naruto tossed the syringe away when he was done as he looked at Raven.
"The serum will help you heal but right now you need to rest. I'll give you guys some alone time and check on you later." Naruto told her.
"Thanks, guardian angel." Raven said to him.
"Don't mention it." Naruto replied and gave her and Finn some privacy.
Naruto grabbed his pack and walked outside of the tent. He took everything out because he needed to do some inventory. He took out his medical kit, his tool pack, a spare E.C.H.O watch he made on Earth-38 and kept as a precaution, his spare clothes, and about 12 dozen high-calorie energy bars. He was fine for now but given how these people were set up and he didn't have access to a Big Belly Burger, these energy bars were his only source of food for his hyper metabolism. Thank god he made more when he was on Earth-38.
"Gideon, how long will these energy bars last me?" Naruto asked.
"If you continue using your speed regularly, you'll be through your entire supply in a month." Gideon said.
"Guess I'll need to conserve my speed." Naruto put his stuff away when Marcus, Abby, and some of the guards walked over to him. "I figured this would happen."
"Naruto, can you come with us?" Abby asked and relieved to see he was cooperating He grabbed his pack and was escorted into the crashed station. They moved through the halls until they came to a room where Naruto walked in and they locked the door behind him.
"Is this really necessary?" Naruto asked, looking at them through the glass window on the door.
"Until we're sure you're not a threat to everyone here, it is." Marcus told him.
"Jesus, is every earth I'm going to visit think I'm a threat?" Naruto said to himself. "I'm not a threat, ok. If I were, I wouldn't have helped Finn and Bellamy or saved Raven."
"I'm sorry, Naruto. But until we're sure about that, we can't take the risk." Abby told him.
"Really feeling the love here, but I'll go along with this for now. Until I decide to leave." Naruto muttered.
"You're not leaving that room until we're sure you're not a threat." Marcus pointed out while Naruto just gave him a look. He then walked forward and phased through the door like it was nothing. Marcus and the other guards quickly pulled out their guns and set them on him only for Naruto to disappear in the blink of an eye and all the guns were piled together in the corner.
"Like I said, I'm not a threat and I'm not here to hurt anyone. I'm passing through." Naruto explained once more while Abby and the others felt outclassed. "Now, I think I could do with some rest, so I'll see you all in the morning."
Naruto vibrated back through the door and got himself comfortable. He took off his jacket and placed it on the floor as a makeshift pillow. He then lay down and got prepared to go to bed while Marcus and the others left.
"Naruto, how long do you plan on staying here?" Gideon wondered.
"Not sure yet, but my gut tells me that these people need my help. And my gut has always steered me the right way." Naruto said.
"I wouldn't be so sure about that." Gideon replied which drew a chuckle.
"Maybe but these people need help. I'll stick around for a little while longer. Good night, Gideon." Naruto closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.
"Good night, Naruto."

Naruto eventually woke up and from the sounds of chirping and people talking, it was morning. He stretched a bit in his room before taking off his jacket, button-up, and shirt to do some training. He began with pushups, sit ups, pull ups using a metal bar in the ceiling and then went through some fight stances. The door to his room/cell opened up and Abby walked in with a plate of food.
"Morning." Abby greeted him and saw him going through fight stances, so he was familiar with combat. She got a look at his physique and he was prime shape for someone at his age. "Here's some breakfast."
"Thanks." Naruto put on his shirt, took the plate of food and began eating it with gusto. "Sorry, high metabolism."
"I'd imagine given what you can do." Abby said.
"Still can't believe it, huh?" Naruto asked as she shook her head.
"No. What you can do…it's shouldn't be humanely possible." Abby told him.
"On this earth. But you'll find that what you think is impossible isn't where I come from. Or does my work on Raven not prove that?" Naruto asked as she nodded. "How is she?"
"She's getting some feeling back in her leg. That serum you gave her, it heals people?" She wondered.
"Sort of. It boosts the body's natural nervous system that facilitates healing. I used in on myself once to save my life." Naruto said as he put his button-up and jacket on. "Even with my speed I'm not invincible."
"So, what brought you here?" Abby asked as Naruto turned to face her.
"Just trying to figure out a way home, my earth. I've been gone a long time." Naruto said.
"Well, I know this isn't your…earth, but thank you for your help." She told him.
"Don't mention it. Helping people is my night and day job. I was planning to stretch my legs unless you were going to shut me in."
"Even if I did, you'd get out." Abby said as Naruto grabbed his pack.
"You're starting to catch on." Naruto walked out of the room and through the station until he got outside. He cracked his neck a bit as he felt the sun warm him up. He walked through the courtyard as the people backed away when he passed them. It was to be expected. Naruto walked past them and into the medical tent where he saw Raven sitting on her bed moving her left leg up and down, but her foot still wasn't moving.
"Dammit." She said as she tried to make it move.
"Didn't I say give it time?" Naruto asked as Raven turned to see him standing there. "I believe I said that several times throughout the whole ordeal. Not a very patient person, are you?"
"Not exactly." Raven grabbed a crutch and stood up. "But I'm getting feeling there thanks to you."
"Well, normally I would be flattered but that serum wasn't only mine. I just helped." Naruto said as Raven moved over to him.
"Well that help saved my life." She said before hugging him. Naruto froze a bit before hugging back. "Thank you."
"Don't mention it." He replied as she backed up and got a good look at him.
"You're taller than I thought." She mentioned.
"Glad to know that. Come on, let's take a walk outside." Naruto said as he escorted her out of the tent. Raven smiled as she felt the sun on her face and the smell of clean air but noticed that a lot of people were looking at her weird. "It's not you, it's me. Let's just say that I'm not the most welcome person here."
"Why's that?" Raven asked as Naruto looked at her.
"They don't trust me." Naruto told her when he saw Marcus talking to Major Byrne and Abby helping a person with a head injury.
"Well, I trusted you and it turned out to be a good idea." Raven pointed out.
"Thanks Raven. Just glad things worked out in the end." Naruto said as they heard commotion coming from the gate as people ran over to see a guard patrol escorting a grounder prisoner. Many of the people rushed at him but the guards kept them back as Marcus and Byrne rushed over.
"That's not good." Raven said as Naruto activated his gauntlet and fired a beam into the air, making a loud bang as all the people took cover and the guards took aim at him.
"That's enough! You're people, not animals." Naruto told them before he deactivated his gauntlet and the guards managed to get the grounder into the ship. Marcus spared him a look before he walked inside the ship to deal with the prisoner.
"A little warning next time." Raven said as she rubbed her ear from the loud ringing.
"Sorry about that." Naruto said as someone walked over.
"Reyes." Sinclair said as Raven stood up straight.
"Sir." Raven replied back.
"How are you feeling?" He asked.
"Fine, sir." Raven replied.
"Doctor Griffin cleared you for work. You up for a job?" He asked as she nodded. "I need you to build a radio beacon. If the other Ark stations have survivors, we need to know it."
"I'm on it." She stated.
"Ok, report to engineering and we'll get you started." He said as she walked away.
"Roger that." She moved into the ship as Naruto followed her to make sure she didn't hurt herself. They walked into the engineering room and saw it was littered with tools, computers, and equipment with rock music playing over the radio.
"Huh, just like home." Naruto said to himself as Raven looked at him.
"What the hell are you doing in here, wrench monkey?" They heard a high-pitched voice said as Raven looked to see Wick sitting by a bench.
"Helium, Wick. Really? Arc welders aren't toys." Raven told him.
"Come on, Reyes. You gotta enjoy life." He said.
"You enjoy enough for everybody. So, still dreaming up designs the rest of us will have to fix?" She wondered.
"Hey, my designs are elegant." Wick told her.
"If only they were realistic." Raven shot back. "Well, it's been real, but I have a beacon to work on."
"In that case, welcome to my party. The schematics are over here on the bench." Wick said as they walked over and he showed her.
"You already designed it?" Raven asked.
"Yep. We're using parts we salvaged from the station's debris field." Wick told her.
"Obviously." She replied as she looked over the designs.
"Oh, also, I have a little something for you." Wick said as he held up a leg brace.
"What a piece of crap." Raven commented.
"You're welcome?" Wick asked as Naruto looked it over.
"You know Raven, it's not a terrible idea until your leg heals up. Better than crutches." Naruto pointed out.
"See, this guy knows what I'm talking about." Wick said as he looked at him. "Who are you?"
"Naruto, nice to meet you." Naruto said as Wick nodded.
"I can get around just fine for now. And you two can have your bromance moment later because what Wick needs to worry about is countering the mountain effect." Raven stated.
"That's your job." Wick told her as Raven scoffed.
"Damn engineers." She said.
"Damn mechanics." He shot back.
"Glad to see there's no love lost between you two." Naruto commented.
Raven got to work, and Wick went back to his station, so Naruto sat down at a table and began modifying and improving the brace to make it easier for Raven to walk. Using his Earth-2 took kit, he took off some of the cumbersome and heavier pieces, then streamlined and refined the design to make it a lot more efficient and better for Raven while he had Gideon running scans for any nearby distress signals from the other Ark stations. Raven was busy working on the beacon as Wick got back from talking with Sinclair.
"Hey, I'm changing the tone frequency to 400hertz. It will increase the radiated modulation depth." Raven said.
"Atmospheric noise will screw us." Wick told her.
"So, the signal's fainter. At least they'll know we're out here." Raven said as Wick sighed. "What?"
"The current is not getting high enough. We might as well be shouting into the wind." Wick said.
"Put an insulator between the mast and the capacity top hat." Raven told him.
"Already tried that. Not working." Wick replied.
"Then you're doing it wrong." Raven stated.
"He's not." Naruto told them as he was looking at the weird signal he found. "There's nothing wrong with the beacon you developed, that's working fine. The problem is the weird signal interference in this area."
"What do you mean?" Raven asked as she walked over.
"Check this out." Naruto pressed a few buttons on his phone, and it began playing the weird humming signal. "Wick, tune that radio to check for any outgoing frequencies."
Wick did and also got the weird humming signal. "It's some kind of encrypted jamming signal. It's on every frequency. Even if you build a different beacon, raise it higher or counter for atmospheric disturbance, nothing will get through."
"Could it be pocketed radiation interference?" Wick asked.
"No, we calibrated for that." Raven said.
"I don't think so. In my experience, only one kind of signal is able to disrupt outgoing and incoming frequencies like this and it's the military." Naruto informed them.
"Great, just what we need. So, what do we do?" Raven asked.
"We try to find the source of the signal and take it out. Until you do that, there's no getting a signal." Naruto suggested. Raven nodded as she crutched over to her seat, so Naruto handed her the brace. "Here, Raven. Wear this."
"I told you I'm fine. Besides, you said my leg would get better with time." Raven said.
"And it will. But making sure you can move around without hurting yourself until it does is also a good idea. And I improved the design so it's better now." Naruto assured her.
"Hey." Wick felt insulted.
"You're an engineer?" She asked as Naruto nodded.
"Mechanical, electrical, nuclear, structural, biomedical and weapons engineer by training." Naruto said as Raven looked at him.
"A man after my own heart."
"Come on. Or I could always pull the doctor thing and have Wick hold you down while I put it on you." Naruto suggested.
"And I will help." Wick told her as Raven sighed.
"Give it." She took the brace and looked it over. "Not bad."
She put it on her leg and strapped it in place before standing up on her two feet. Naruto was at her side in case she fell but she managed to make it a few steps forward and she was fine. She kept walking and the brace was working. "Like I said, my designs are elegant." Wick stated, proud of his work.
"I think it was Naruto's redesign of your design that is elegant." Raven corrected him as she touched the brace and looked at Naruto. "Thank you."
"Don't mention it." Naruto told her as he walked forward when a wave of nausea hit him. His head started to hurt, and he started to feel sick as he staggered a bit and grabbed the table to keep from falling.
"Whoa, dude you ok?" Wick asked supporting him as Raven walked over to help.
"Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine." Naruto said as he shook his head. "My blood sugar is just getting too low."
He walked over to his bag, pulled out an energy bar and took a bite. He sat down as he grabbed his water bottle and took a sip. "Are you ok?" Raven asked.
"Yeah, I'm good." Naruto assured her when Sinclair walked in.
"Marcus wants everyone outside." He told them. They walked outside as Naruto finished his energy bar and his water and joined the group to see Marcus and his guards keeping everyone back while he talked to Abby.
"Abigail Griffin has confessed to aiding and abetting known criminals and trafficking in firearms. Under the laws set forth in the Exodus charter of the Ark, she's been sentenced to ten lashes." Byrne announced to everyone. "On your command, Chancellor Kane."
Two guards then took Abby and tied her arms to posts as Byrne took out a shock stick. "He can't do this." Naruto said as he walked forward.
"Naruto, wait."
"Get back!" A guard shouted as he pointed his gun at him, but Naruto wasn't afraid.
"Let her go! You can't do this!" Naruto shouted as Abby looked at him.
"We have rules, laws. If you break them, you will be punished accordingly, no one is exempt." Byrne said as Naruto walked forward but the guard pointed his gun in his face.
"I said, get back." He shouted but only managed to make Naruto angry.
"Get that gun out of my face before I break your nose with it." Naruto warned him as he tightened his fists and lightning began to flicker around them.
"Naruto, stop." Abby told him. "It's ok."
Naruto backed off a bit and the guard lowered his weapon. Byrne then began shocking Abby in the back with the Taser stick as everyone winced and recoiled from the sight. After the third shock, Abby began to struggle but to Marcus's surprise, she stood up and powered through. After the tenth one, Naruto and Sinclair rushed over to help Abby to the medical tent. They put her on a gurney as they saw the burns from the shock stick. Naruto took out his med kit and took out an ointment for burns along with some pain killers.
"Here." He handed them to Abby who took them with some water. Naruto put some ointment on a cotton swab and began applying it to the burns to clean them and make sure they didn't get infected. Abby recoiled every now and then but managed to pull through as Kane walked in.
"Thank you, Naruto." Abby said as Naruto grabbed his med kit and left.
"He trusts you." Marcus commented.
"Because I'm trying to treat him like a human being." Abby said. "So, did it work? Is the rest of the camp back in line?"
"That wasn't something…I considered lightly." Marcus told her.
"You don't have to justify yourself. I broke the rules and I accept the consequences. But you can lash me a hundred times and I am still gonna do whatever it takes to find those kids. My kid." Abby promised.
"I know that." Marcus replied.
"Then I guess were done here." Abby said as she stood up and walked over to the table.
"I'm leading a mission to get them back." He told her. "This won't be a bunch of kids…looking to stir up a bit, but a diplomatic mission to make contact with grounder's commander and negotiate for peace. I'm taking the grounder prisoner with me to guide the way."
"Marcus, he could be leading you into a trap." Abby pointed out.
"Perhaps…but it'll give us a chance." He said as she looked at him. "I did hear you, you know."
"Then I'll go with you." She said.
"No. No, you're needed here at camp."
"Jackson can handle medical." Abby told him.
"It's not just your medical expertise that'll be required. I need to know that while I'm away you'll set a good example for our people." Marcus said.
"If you do this, I'll be a model citizen." Abby promised.
"I need you to be more than that. I need you to be chancellor." Marcus told her as he handed her the pin. "Please, Abby. For our people."
She accepted and soon after, Kane and a group of guards left with the grounder prisoner. Abby looked hopeful that Marcus would succeed in getting peace for the kids but there was also a strong possibility that it was a trap. Clarke was out there, gods knows if she was being tortured or worse. She hoped Finn and Bellamy would find Clarke, but she needed more than hope, she needed a miracle and there was a blonde spiky-haired miracle walking around their camp.

The next morning, Naruto was back in the engineering room with Wick and Raven as he was using one of their old computers to try and access any kind of nearby weather, military, or private satellite. "What are you doing?" Raven asked as she watched him work.
"Right now, hacking nearby satellite uplinks. If there are any still around, I might be able to use one to triangulate where that encryption signal is coming from." Naruto answered.
"You can do that from here?" Wick asked.
"I should be able to access the network if the satellite is still online. But there's mountains of data to go through." Naruto said as he kept trying to access the nearby grid when Abby walked in.
"Abby, hey. How are you doing?" Raven asked.
"I'm fine, Raven. I need to talk to Naruto." Abby said.
"Sure, what's up?" Naruto wondered.
"I know I have no right to ask this of you, but I need your help." She said. "How fast can you really run?"
"Run?" Raven was confused.
"Very fast. What do you need?" Naruto asked.
"I want you to find my daughter and the other kids and bring them back." She said and he nodded in response.
"Sure thing. Do you have a picture of her?" He asked as Abby took out an old photograph of her. "Ok, any ideas as to where to start?"
"The dropship. If she was taken, maybe there are some tracks that can help you find her." She told him as he grabbed his pack. "Please find my daughter."
"If she's out there, I will." Naruto promised.
"Whoa, Naruto, this is insane. You're a miracle worker with medicine and a great engineer but you can't go out there by yourself. You'll get killed." Raven told him.
"Believe me, Raven. People have been trying for a long time and I'm still here. Besides, I can cover more ground on foot than most people." Naruto assured her as he walked out of the station with Raven, Abby, and Wick following behind.
"Well, at least take a gun or something. You can't go out there unarmed." Raven pointed out only for him to hold up his watch.
"Believe me I'm not. I'll be back before you know it." Naruto said.
"Unless you have a jetpack in that bag of yours, it might be longer." Raven said as Naruto looked at Abby.
"She doesn't know?" Naruto asked.
"She was in the medical tent when you did what you did." She replied.
"Right. Well, Abby will tell you the basics. But like I told you before, Raven, I'm not from around here. This is why." Naruto said as his eyes flickered with lightning as he then zoomed out of camp in a whoosh of air and lightning.
"Whoa." Wick said as he couldn't believe what he saw.
"How-how…how did he do that?" Raven asked, just seeing her guardian angel run away in the blink of an eye.
"To be honest, I'm not all that sure. He's a world traveler. Thank god he came when he did." Abby said as she prayed that Naruto found Clarke. "Please find her."
Naruto ran through the woods and eventually made his way back to the dropship. He bowed his head in respect to the dead as he looked around. Naruto activated his gauntlet and it began scanning the area. It finished so Naruto put on his goggles.
"Ok, Gideon. Show me what we have." Naruto said as Gideon began analyzing the data and gave him a holographic reconstruction of what happened in the area via his goggles.
"Holographic reconstruction complete." Gideon said as Naruto saw looked around at the holographic reconstruction that showed the footprints and tracks he, Marcus, Abby, and the guards left when they were here before.
"Ok, remove the most recent prints." Naruto said as they were removed, and he got dozens of prints and body impressions. Mostly concentrated to a central area as Naruto walked over and his goggles highlighted something. He knelt down and picked it up to see it was an empty gas grenade. "Hello, what's this?"
"It appears to be a sleep gas grenade, military issue." Gideon informed him as she analyzed the used weapon.
"It's not covered in soot or ash. This was here recently." Naruto muttered when he noted where he found the gas can there seemed to be a lot of the body impressions. "And it's near the largest collection of body imprints. Gideon, scan these prints and find any kind of pattern."
"Scanning." Gideon scanned through dozens of impressions and foot prints and found something interesting. "I've detected 9 unique sets of foot imprints different from the others. All moving in formation and consist of standard military issued footwear."
Naruto walked over and looked at the impressions as Gideon highlighted them. "Military. Standard formation. Moving in synch. They moved to the largest collections of bodies here and then began moving them away." Naruto said as he saw the faint prints that led away from the camp. "Now, Raven told me that the grounders used swords and horses. They don't use gas grenades. They weren't taken by the grounders, they were taken by military trained men."
"What are you thinking?" Gideon asked.
"That these people are fighting the wrong enemy." Naruto said as he followed the tracks through the woods.
The tracks got fainter and fainter, but Gideon managed to keep track of them until they vanished near the river. "Gideon, any chance you can find the tracks again?" Naruto asked.
"I'm scanning but haven't found anything yet. It's possible they were put into a vehicle." Gideon said.
"If that's true they could be anywhere."
"Perhaps this can help. My scanners are detecting a large collection of body signatures up ahead." Gideon said as Naruto saw them appear on a mini map.
"Let's hope its Clarke." He said before he jogged to the location and saw three men in red warrior clothes escorting four people, most likely hostages, through the woods. Naruto zoomed his goggles in and saw their faces were weird and they appeared more animalistic, like monsters. He then saw a girl laying on the ground and from her clothes, she might be one of the kids from the dropship.
"She's gonna get herself killed." Naruto muttered as he put his goggles up and stepped into view and whistled loudly. [Sharp Whistle]
The men looked his direction as Naruto waved his hand. "Hey, there. Any chance you can point me to the nearest grocery store?" All he got in response was a snarl and they charged at him. "Guess no one loves that joke."
Naruto ran forward and when he got close enough, he used a nearby tree and jumped off it, landing a jumping punch and knocking the man to the ground. Naruto then ducked under a sword from the second guy and kicked out his leg and then spin kicked the third man in the face. Naruto dodged a sword thrust from the first man, grabbed his arm, and raised his sword to block a swing from the second man and kicked him away. Naruto then broke his arm, grabbed his sword, and slashed the man in the chest and kicked him away. He blocked and dodged the attacks from the third man before he found his opening. He stabbed him in the foot and then kneed him in the face, knocking him on his back. Naruto turned and saw the first man get back up despite the chest slash and charge at him. He ducked and stabbed the guy in the gut and then bashed his face into a tree. Naruto blocked the attacks from the second man as Naruto swung his sword, but it got stuck in a tree by accident. Naruto moved back to avoid having his hand chopped off as he then jumped off a tree behind him and punched the man in the face and knocked him into the stuck sword in the tree, killing him.
Naruto saw the third man get up to charge but the girl got up and stabbed him in the leg and then slashed his neck, killing him.
"Thanks." Naruto told her. She managed a small nod before rushing over to the hostages and tearing off their hoods. She was clearly looking for someone.
"Where's Lincoln?! Where is he?!" She asked as she got to the last man. "Where is Lincoln? Please. Was Lincoln with you?"
The man shook his head no as grounders came out of the woods to help their friends while the girl broke down crying and screamed.
"AAAAHHHH!"
She cried her eyes out as she sat down on the ground. Naruto walked over and knelt down next to her. "I'm sorry." Naruto said as she looked at him. "I'm sorry about your friend. You're from the Ark, right?"
"Who are you?"
"My name is Naruto. I came from there. I'm out here looking for Clarke and the others from the dropship. You're one of them, right?" Naruto asked as Octavia looked at him.
"Why are you looking for them?" She asked.
"I promised Clarke's mother I'd find her. Maybe you know Raven Reyes? Or Finn or Bellamy?" Naruto asked and Olivia nodded.
"Bellamy's my brother. Is he ok?"
"He was the last time I saw him. I saved him from a grounder, but he and Finn took off to find Clarke." Naruto said as they saw one of the grounders walk over so he got in front of Octavia to protect her.
"If you're going to kill me, just get it over with." Octavia muttered.
"You've proven yourself well Octavia of the Sky People. We'll let you live." He said as he held out his hand and he helped her up. "Lincoln was a good man. He was my brother."
He walked back to his people as the woman in charge nodded to Octavia in respect and then to Naruto and they then left. Octavia cried some tears as Naruto reached into his pack and pulled out a towel and wiped her face. He nodded to her as she nodded back. "Come on, I'll get you back to the others."
"To the dropship?" She asked as he shook his head no.
"No. There's no one there. I'll take you back to the where the Ark survivors made camp."
"What about my brother?" She wondered.
"I don't know where he is." He said when he saw how broken she was. "But I'm sure we'll find him in the woods. Come on."
Octavia grabbed her pack and sword and followed him. "I'm Octavia. You're from the Ark?" She asked but he shook his head no.
"No, not exactly. I'm just passing through. I saved Bellamy and Finn from a grounder. It's how I met Raven and Dr. Griffin. I've been helping them out when she asked me to find Clarke and the others." Naruto told her. "Suffice it to say I'm not from around here."
"I don't understand." She said as they stopped near the river.
"It's a long and complicated story." Naruto pressed his watch and opened up the sensor. "Gideon, anymore nearby heat signatures?"
"None within a mile radius." Gideon replied.
"Expand the sensor to a 60-mile search radius." Naruto said and Gideon did so.
"What is that?"
"Heat sensor. Picks up heat signatures the body produces. It's how I found you." Naruto replied and he could see Octavia wasn't expecting to see anything like that. Before anymore questions could be asked, his sensor picked up six heat signatures to the north.
"What happened?" She asked.
"It's picking up 6 people to the north. It might be your brother." Naruto told her. Octavia ran ahead in that general direction as Naruto ran up to keep pace with her. They moved through the woods as fast they could normally run, or as fast as Octavia could run. Naruto decided to make it easier, so he picked up Octavia and super sped them through the forest until they reached a cliff's edge where they heard gunfire.
"How did you do that?" She asked.
"Long story. I'll tell you later." Naruto told her as they heard more gunfire. Octavia saw some of her friends being shot at with arrows, so she pulled out her war horn and blew it. The sound of the horn spread throughout the area causing the grounders to stop shooting and run away. "Nice."
Octavia walked forward with Naruto following behind her where they saw Finn, Monroe, Murphy, and Bellamy with another woman they saved. "Octavia." Bellamy was happy to see his sister alive rushed over to hug her. Bellamy looked up and saw Naruto there. Naruto nodded as Bellamy nodded back, happy that his sister was alive and well.
Naruto would have joined them, but his sensor picked up something. "Gideon, what is it?"
"My sensors are picking up two heat signatures near the dropship's coordinates."
"It might be Clarke." Naruto then super sped away in a whoosh of lightning.
"Octavia, how did you find us?" Bellamy wondered.
"I didn't. Naruto did." She turned around but he was already gone. "He was just here."
"Then where'd the hell he go?" Bellamy asked.
Naruto ran through the woods and made his way back to the dropship to see two people fighting. He could tell from their long hair and their bodies that they were woman, but he couldn't get a clear look at their face. The winner was ready to kill the loser but stopped when she saw Naruto.
"Whoa, easy! I'm not here to hurt anyone." Naruto raised his hands up to show he wasn't carrying a weapon. "Is one of you Clarke Griffin?"
Clarke stood up and held her knife in front of her. "Who are you?"
"My name is Naruto. I'm looking for Clarke Griffin. Her mother sent me to find her. Dr. Abigail Griffin." Naruto said as Clarke lowered her guard when her mother was mentioned.
"My mother sent you?" She asked and Naruto slowly walked forward.
"She's alive and she's worried about you. Ok, she and a bunch of other people from the Ark are alive in the wreckage of their station. Do you know Raven Reyes?" Naruto asked and she nodded. "She alive as well. So are Bellamy, Finn, and Octavia."
"How do you know that?"
"Because I saw them not too long ago. It's ok, I'm not here to hurt you." Naruto promised when Clarke stumbled and fell to the ground. "Clarke!"
Naruto rushed over and held her up to check her over. "Jeez." Naruto reached into his pack and pulled out his water bottle. "Here, drink."
Clarke took the bottle and drank it as fast as she could while he reached into his pack and pulled out a towel and his med kit. He took out some bandages as he wiped her arm and bandaged her knife wound. He then used the towel to wipe some of the dirt off her face. "You're all right." Naruto said as he helped her stand up. "Your mother's worried about you. I can take you to her. She left you a message there."
Naruto pointed to the ship as Clarke saw the faded writing. "It wasn't faded when she wrote it. Their camp's 22 kilometers south of here." Naruto said when he looked at the woman on the ground. "What do you want to do about her?"
Clarke thought it over when she came to a decision. "I'm letting you go, Anya. I'm not weak, but I'm not like you. Our only chance against Mount Weather is if we fight together. To beat them, we'll need our technology and your knowledge of this world. I know my people will help. The question is, will yours?" Clarke asked and Anya thought it over for a moment.
"The Commander was my second. I can get an audience." Anya said as Clarke nodded. Anya stood up and shook Clarke's hand.
"Please hurry." Clarke said. Anya nodded and walked away.
"You sure that was a good idea?" Naruto asked.
"No." Clarke replied only for her to stumble and fall.
"Hey, easy." Naruto picked her up in his arms bridle style. "Let's get you back."
Naruto super sped through the forest with speed and precision to avoid hitting anything or tripping over something. Clarke felt a rush of air blow past her and the trees around her were blurred since they were moving so fast. She spared one last look at Naruto's face before she began to drift into unconsciousness. Naruto raced through the forest and ran back to Camp Jaha and appeared in the middle of the courtyard in a blur of lightning as the guards raised their guns.
"Dr. Griffin!" Naruto shouted and Abby raced out of the medical tent. She saw Naruto appear with a girl in his arms. She ran over and looked at the girl's face and saw it was Clarke.
"Clarke." Abby said, beyond happy to see her daughter alive.
"Mom?" Clarke whispered, managing to come to.
"She's banged up pretty bad." Naruto told Abby.
"In the tent." She said, leading Naruto as he carried her in and put her on a gurney. He put down his bag as Abby removed Clarke's dirty jacket and did a preliminary evaluation.
"I need saline solution and a pressure dressing." She told Naruto.
"Got it." He quickly grabbed them and did his job.
"It's ok, honey." Abby assured her daughter who looked at her in disbelief.
"I saw your ship crash." Clarke said.
"I wasn't on it. I'm right here." Abby replied as Naruto handed her a towel and he put an IV line in her arm
Major Bryne walked into the tent to see Abby and Naruto tending to Clark. "Is she all right?
"She will be." Abby replied, cleaning the dirt and mud off of Clarke.
"Where were you being held?" Byrne asked.
"It's not the time." Naruto told her.
"Mount Weather." Clarke muttered, earning confused looks from Bryne and Abby.
"The Grounders took you to Mount Weather?" Byrne asked.
"No. The Mountain Men. We have to get them out." Clarke said as she stood up.
"We're not doing this right now." Abby told Bryne.
"Yes, ma'am." She replied before leaving. Abby nodded to Naruto who understood and left to give the mother and daughter some time alone.
Naruto exited the tent just as Raven walked over. "Clarke's alive.
"Guess you were right. You did find her." She said and he nodded. "So, a running man from another earth? That's your story?"
"Not how I would put it but yeah." Naruto replied as they walked through the camp.
"How did this happen?" Raven wondered.
"Being hit by a dark matter infused lightning bolt and put in a coma for 9 months. On my earth, things are a little different. For one, I saw from your computers that the year here is 2149. On my earth, it's 2015." He explained and Raven was shocked to put it lightly. "Which basically means you're all old people."
Raven punched his arm in response. "Sounds like a dream world. So, why did you leave?"
"I didn't leave by choice. An accident knocked me to another earth. I've been trying to get back for a while." Naruto replied when he staggered as another wave of nausea hit him. "Urgh."
Naruto staggered a bit and nearly fell down if he didn't grab the wall to keep himself up right. "Naruto!" Raven was concerned as she saw him nearly pass out again. "What's wrong?"
"I'm fine." Naruto said as he leaned against the wall only the nausea got worse, so he slid down to the ground to rest.
"Naruto, what's wrong?"
He reached into his pack and took out another energy bar and his water bottle. He chugged it down and ate the bar quickly and tossed the wrapper away. "I'm ok." Naruto said as he closed his eyes and shook his head. "Really, I'm fine."
"No, you're not. What was that?" She asked.
"It's a side effect of my powers. My metabolism burns really fast. My blood sugar was just low." Naruto managed to get back to his feet as he was feeling sort of better but not by much. "I'm used to having easy access to a lot of food."
"Not here, though." Raven theorized.
"These high energy bars are what I've been using but I'm trying to ration them as best I can." Naruto finished his water and took a deep breath. "The more I use my speed, the more I need to eat. I need to be careful."
"If using your speed is what's taking a toll on you, then why'd you volunteer to go find Clarke?" Raven wondered.
"Dr. Griffin asked for my help. And whether it's on my earth or this one, if someone needs my help, I help." Naruto answered, earning a look of disbelief but admiration.
"Just a regular superhero, aren't you?"
"You're actually right. Where I'm from, I'm a superhero." He said, getting up and heading inside the station.
"You're joking." Raven followed him to get some answers.

The next morning, Clarke woke up feeling a whole lot better but was still sore. She was in some fresh clothes and saw some bandages wrapped around her arm and midsection and an IV line in her arm. She turned her head to see her mother sleeping next to the bed. Abby saw Clarke wake up and smiled when Clarke noticed her pin.
"I thought you got thrown off the council?" Clarke asked as Abby looked down.
"Oh. It's the Chancellor's pin." She said, running her finger over it.
"You?" Clarke asked.
"Yeah. Thelonius didn't make it, and Kane left two days ago to try and make peace with the Grounders to get you and the others back." Abby said.
"I told you, the Grounders don't have us." Clarke reminded her before looking around. "How long have I been asleep?"
"About 10 hours." She replied when she saw Clarke sitting up. "Hey, Clarke. Slow down. It's too soon."
"Mom, we need to move against Mount Weather. How many guards are here? Where are Finn and Bellamy?" She asked.
"Clarke, please. You need to rest." Abby told her.
"I don't need to rest, I'm fine. And I don't need you to protect me. What I need is to save my friends." Clarke said as she got off the bed when Byrne walked in.
"Ma'am. Movement in the north woods."
"Grounders?" Abby asked.
"I don't think so." Byrne replied as she and Abby left. Clarke got dressed and put on a jacket before walking out of the tent to see Raven waiting there.
"Hi." Clarke said, happy to see Raven was alive and well.
"I've been waiting out here for hours. Abby said you needed sleep." Raven hugged Clarke, as both were happy to see the other was awake. Clarke then looked down and saw the brace on her leg.
"Raven, I—" "It's looks worse than it is. It's only until I heal up and I will." Raven assured her.
"How are you ok?" Clarke wondered.
"Just like you, I had a speedy guardian angel come to my rescue." Raven told her.
"Guardian angel, yes. But the speedy part isn't sticking." They heard as Naruto walked over. "Glad to see you on the mend, Clarke."
"Thanks." Clarke replied, a bit confused as to who he was.
"I'm not from the Ark if that's what you're wondering. Just a friend passing through." He explained but Clarke just had more questions. They then heard some commotion coming from the main gate and it was Bellamy, Octavia, and Monroe with the girl from the crashed station. The guards immediately took their weapons once they walked in and Abby went to help the injured girl.
"Bellamy." Clarke was happy he was alive.
"Go, I'll catch up." Raven told her. Abby took the girl and Monroe to the tent as Clarke rushed over and hugged Bellamy and Octavia.
Raven and Naruto walked over to join the three. "How many are with you?" Bellamy asked.
"None." Clarke replied.
"I just found Clarke. I didn't find the others." Naruto said.
"Where's Finn?" Clarke asked.
"Looking for you." Bellamy answered, giving them a sense of dread.
Naruto's watch beeped, drawing their attention so he pressed it and a holographic woman's head came up. "Naruto, I've breached through the military fire walls and accessed the data you requested." Gideon said.
"What is that?" Clarke asked.
"Perfect. Gideon, you are the best." Naruto pressed his watch again and headed back inside the station.
"What was that? And a better question is who the hell is he?" Bellamy asked.
"Whoever he is, he's not one of the Grounder but he fights better than one. He took on three Reapers by himself." Octavia added.
"Yeah, he took down a Grounder with ease when he rescued me and Finn." Bellamy recounted.
"Then who is he?" Clarke asked as all three were looking at Raven for an answer.
"You guys wouldn't believe me even if I told you. To be honest, I still have a hard time believing it." She said.
"Try us." Bellamy remarked so Raven explained everything as best she could.
Naruto walked back inside the station and to the engineering room where Wick was set up. He went over to the computer and put his phone down, synching his phone's computer to the one in the station. Naruto accessed the computer system as Gideon had managed to hack into nearby satellites and cracked the military encryption to take control.
"Hello, someone else has access to this? Let's find out whom." Naruto began doing a backdoor trace to figure out who else was controlling the satellite. The trace took a second as Raven and the others walked in. "Hey, Gideon broke through the military firewalls. I managed to get control of their satellites."
"You can do that?" Octavia asked.
"I can do a lot of things with a computer. Took a second because it was some pretty good encryption and someone else is controlling it." Naruto replied back trace put the location of the other user at some mountain about 40 miles away. "It's some nearby mountain."
Clarke looked at the monitor and it looked familiar. "Can you get a picture?" She asked.
"Hang on." He accessed the satellite's imaging software to send him a clean image. Once Clarke saw the mountain and the dam, she knew it was Mount Weather.
"That's Mount Weather. Where the others are being held. We need to get them out of there." Clarke said so Naruto opened up a new command prompt and began typing away. "What are you doing?"
"Trying to figure out who's inside." Naruto tried using the satellite to access the computer systems in Mount Weather but there wasn't a connection. They must be using a hardline network and using hardline uplink cables to access the satellite network. "Dammit."
"What's wrong?" Raven wondered.
"Whoever's in Mount Weather is using hardline access cables for their system. I can't control their systems from here." Naruto replied, when he found something interesting. "But I think I got detailed blueprints on what their base looks like."
Naruto hacked into the files and began accessing blueprints and layouts of the Mount Weather bunker Clarke was held in. "Those are the hallways and rooms of their compound. How did you get this?" Clarke asked.
"These blueprints are on the satellite's database. Most likely a failsafe option sent there if something compromised the network." Naruto said as he transferred the blueprints to his phone. "But they are very well detailed."
"Good. If we're going to get everyone back, we need to know everything." Bellamy said.
"There are tunnels throughout the mountain and dam. Can you get images of that as well?" Clarke asked Naruto.
"I might be able to, but it'll take some time. I'm setting the satellite to run a multi-spectrum topographical scan of the area." Naruto turned to them and saw they were all confused. "Right, sorry. I'm setting the satellite to scan for any structures under the ground. Usually, this is done to check the earth's crust and plate movements, but if there are tunnels or any secret entrances, the scan should find them."
"Awesome." Octavia commented.
"Guess just being fast isn't all you can do." Bellamy said as Naruto turned to them.
"Raven told you guys, huh?" Naruto asked.
"Kind of hard to believe to be honest." Clarke said.
"True, but you've all seen me do what I can. Plus, my world is weirder than yours." Naruto said as he took his phone. "We should show this to your mom, Clarke."
Naruto and the group walked throughout the ship to the makeshift council room where Abby was meeting with Sinclair and the other defacto council members.
"We know nothing about these people in Mount Weather. Their numbers, their capabilities. We need to proceed carefully." Byrne told everyone.
"How about what their base looks like?" Naruto asked as he walked in.
"Naruto, what is it?" Abby asked so he walked up and placed his phone on the table.
"I dug up some information you might find useful." Naruto said as he activated the holographic interface and a 3-d layout of the Mount Weather bunker appeared in front of them. "This is the Mount Weather bunker. I managed to extrapolate some blueprints and build a 3D model of what it looks like."
"How did you find this?" Sinclair asked.
"I hacked an old military satellite. The same satellite they've been using for years." Naruto explained as everyone looked over the 3D model.
"How accurate is this?" Byrne asked.
"Very. Down to the decimal." Naruto said. "Based on these designs and how it was supposed to be stocked, there could be up to 400 people there."
"All right. According to Clarke, the 47 still inside are not being harmed. At least not yet. Now, I hate to leave them there, but if she's right, we have some time." Sinclair pointed out.
"I'm running another search on the Mountain. Clark said there were tunnels near the dam. That might be the way in." Naruto suggested.
"How long will the search take?" Abby asked.
"With what I have here, 36 hours at the most."
"Ok. So, we gather intel and wait for Naruto's information on Mount Weather, and we send a team after Kane. He needs to know that the Grounders don't have those kids." Abby planned out.
"What about Finn Collins and John Murphy?" Byrne asked as everyone looked at Abby for an answer.
"We don't have the manpower to send out two search parties. They're on their own." Abby decided and everyone agreed. "Ok, that's it for now. We'll reconvene tomorrow."
Everyone filed out of the room and saw Clarke was waiting for her mother. "Mom, did Naruto tell you everything?"
"He did. But until we know more, we're not heading to Mount Weather yet." Abby told her.
"What about Finn? When are we searching for them?" Clarke wondered.
"We're not, Clarke."
"What? No, you can't just cut them loose." Clarke told her.
"We don't have the manpower to send out two separate rescue missions and protect our camp." Abby told her.
"Mom, they're in trouble. They're either going to get themselves killed or make things worse with the Grounders who we need to get our people out of Mount Weather." Clarke explained but Abby couldn't take the risk at the moment.
"I know you feel this is unfair, but our priority has to be with Chancellor Kane if there is any hope for peace."
"If we want peace, then we need to make sure that Finn and Murphy don't make things worse. I managed to talk to one of the Grounders who escaped with me. Their leader was her second, she can get us an audience to talk but she won't do that if Finn or Murphy ruins it." Clarke said.
"I'm sorry, Clarke. But the decision's been made." Abby told her.
"You're sorry?" Bellamy asked. "Finn and Murphy are out there looking for your daughter with guns you gave us. And now she's home, you're just going to abandon them? If you can't spare the guards, we know the terrain. We have a map, we can do it ourselves."
"No, absolutely not."
"Mom—" "I just got you back. I'm not losing you again." Abby told her as Jackson came over to take her to medical.
"You better go." Clarke remarked.
"Byrne. No one leaves this camp." Abby ordered and Byrne replied yes.
The second Abby was out of sight Clarke walked over to Bellamy. "We're gonna need guns." She said and he nodded.
Raven managed to score them some guns and met them behind the station. She put the bag down as Bellamy took out an assault rifle. "I scored you a couple extra clips." Raven told him as he loaded one into his assault rifle.
Clarke walked over with her bag. "Hey, my mom's in surgery and the team going after Kane just left. We should too."
"Did you find Octavia?" Bellamy asked Raven.
"No, I found you." She said, joining them. "I'm not letting you leave here without me."
"Octavia—" "Finn and Murphy are headed for Lincoln's village. I've been there. Have you? Has she?" Octavia asked only for Bellamy to exhale.
"You done?" He wondered before handing her a pack.
"What's this?" Octavia asked.
"Your pack. Lead the way." Bellamy told her and she smiled.
"Good, you rascals ready to go?" They heard as Naruto walked up to them with his pack.
"Naruto, what are you doing?" Raven asked.
"Going with them." Naruto said.
"No, we need you to stay here and get those scans of those tunnels in Mount Weather." Clarke told him.
"I am. Gideon's running the scan and she'll send them to my watch once they're ready. In the meantime, I can make sure you three don't get yourselves killed." Naruto remarking, pointing to the three people going on the mission. "I already saved each of your butts, once. I'm not gonna put all that effort to waste by letting you go alone."
"Could use an extra fighter." Bellamy pointed out and Clarke agreed.
"All right." She pulled out a pistol and handed it to him.
"Ah, no thanks. Never been a gun person. Besides…" Naruto pressed his watch and his gauntlet deployed. "I think I'm set."
"Whoa." Octavia remarked, accidently walking near the fence when Raven stopped her.
"Whoa, not so fast Pocahontas." Raven tossed a rock to the fence and it was zapped with electricity.
"I got this." Naruto said as he walked up and touched Octavia and Clarke's shoulder. "Bellamy, grab on."
Bellamy looked at him weird, but Naruto just nodded him to do so, so he did. Naruto took a deep breath and concentrated and he soon began vibrating followed by the others. He slowly walked them forward and they passed through the fence like they were air.
"What was that?" Clarke asked, patting herself down to see if she was hurt.
"Cool, right? It comes in handy. Everyone ok? Internal organs still in the same place?" Naruto wondered.
"Not sure." Bellamy replied, patting himself down to make sure everything was where it was supposed to be.
"Let's go." Clarke told them and Octavia led the way.
They made their way through the woods for miles and when the sun was going down, they made camp. They set up a small fire and ate the rations they had and got some rest. Naruto sat down against a tree as he was beginning to like being this close to nature. Don't get it wrong, Naruto missed being in an actual city but there was a certain harmony and calmness to this place.
He was watching the flickering campfire and enjoyed the crackle of the burning wood when he noticed the stares he was getting. "You guys are staring again." Naruto said as they stopped. "It's ok. If you have questions, you can ask."
Clarke started first. "How did you get here?"
"By accident. Where I'm from…something happened that knocked me from my earth. At first, I didn't know what happened but eventually I figured out where I was. When I got fast enough, I tried getting back to my earth, but it obviously didn't work."
"How long have you been gone?" Bellamy asked.
"Nearly 3 months." Naruto said. "But our earths are on different times. Where I'm from, it's 2015, not 2149. So, you're all old people."
That managed to get a chuckle from them. "How come our earths aren't on the same time?" Clarke wondered.
"Not sure. Things are always different. The way the multiverse is set up is that every different earth occupies the same place in space. Meaning that the planet is where it should be in relation to the moon as well as the sun. They share certain laws of physics but after that, things can vary. For every single decision to every single question, moment or crossroads, there's an earth where it occurred." He explained.
"How many other earths are there?" Bellamy asked.
"Probably billions. 52 known and categorized at the moment. I've only been to two other ones." Naruto answered.
"What's it like, your earth?" Octavia wondered so he took out his phone and engaged the holographic display mode.
"See for yourself." The pictures on his phone began showing one after another. They showed a world much different to the one Clarke, Bellamy, and Octavia were used to. Tall buildings, streets, vehicles, people in regular clothes, and everything the world seemed to be before the nuclear apocalypse 97 years ago. "It's not perfect. Not by any means, but the good definitely outweighs the bad."
"Looks unbelievable." Octavia said as the next picture of was of STAR labs and then a newspaper image of Naruto in costume along with another person in red. The newspaper read The Flash and Impulse stop building fire.
"Impulse?" Clarke asked.
"You need a codename if you're going to save people." Naruto told them, running his finger over his Flash ring. "Since I got my powers, I've been using them to help my city. Just because my world hasn't blown itself up yet doesn't mean there still aren't issues."
"A world where you don't live in tents or cramped quarters on a space station? Sounds like paradise to me." Bellamy commented.
"If I figure out the dimension traveling thing, I can take you guys there for vacation." Naruto joked.
"Forget vacation. How about we move there instead." Octavia suggested. All the photos they saw showed a world much better than their own.
"That's gonna be a tall order." Naruto muttered.
The next photo showed Naruto with a bunch of people his age and when Naruto saw the photo, he turned off his phone and put it away. They could tell it was a sore subject for him.
"Who were they?" Clarke asked.
"My family. My parents died a few years ago, and my friends helped me get my life back in order." Naruto said. They could tell he missed being home.
"Anyone special back home?" Bellamy asked.
"Linda Park, she's my girlfriend." Naruto replied.
"She must be a lucky girl then." Clarke said. "So, how come you haven't tried to leave yet? Are you stuck?"
"No. You guys needed my help and it was one after another after another here. Whether it's on my earth or not, if I can help I will. If I have the power, doing something is better than doing nothing." Naruto stated. "Besides, I've never been one to run when people need my help. And you guys need it right now."
"Well, I never got to properly thank you for saving me so thank you." Clarke told him.
"You're welcome, Clarke." Naruto said with a smile.
"So, how did you get your powers?" Octavia asked.
"Well, I wouldn't recommend it. I was hit by a bolt of lightning and put in a coma for 9 months." Naruto recounted.
"Yikes. How are you still alive?" Clarke asked.
"Don't ask me. Anyone else would be dead but instead I woke up with superpowers. But I wasn't the only one who got powers that night. And a lot of them haven't used them for good reasons."
"I hope you get back soon, Naruto." Clarke told him.
"Thanks, Clarke." He replied.
"Not too soon." Octavia muttered, causing the others to look at her. "Having a speedy superhero on our side would make things a lot easier."
That earned a few more chuckles. When the sun went down and it was dark, Octavia and Clarke got some sleep. Naruto was still up, not tired as he put another log on the fire and decided to keep watch. Octavia had somehow crawled over next to him when she was asleep, maybe in a subconscious effort to feel safe. Naruto shrugged at Bellamy and pat Octavia on the head, seeing her shuffle in her sleep which helped calm her down.
"You should get some rest, Bellamy." Naruto suggested.
"I'll rest when we find Finn." Bellamy replied and Clarke woke up soon after.
"We'll find them." Clarke said.
"You haven't seen him, Clarke. Losing you, the others, the war, it changed him. He executed the Grounder who drew us the map. Pulled the trigger without even blinking and walked away." Bellamy told her.
"That doesn't sound like Finn." Clarke said.
"Violence and loss can change a person. I've seen it on my earth plenty of times. They've lost so much and become so focused on trying to avenge what was lost that they lose a bit of themselves. Each life they take, a piece of their soul is taken and soon you don't even recognize them." Naruto knew what he was talking about and they could tell. "You two need to brace yourselves that the Finn you're looking for might not be the one you find."
"What are you saying?" Clarke asked.
"That each time he feels it's necessary to take a life, it'll get easier. And once that happens enough, Finn won't be the same person you know." He explained. "I know from personal experience. It nearly happened to me once."
"What stopped you?" Bellamy asked.
"A wise friend reminded me to be better. And even then, it was a long road." Naruto said.
"We'll find Finn before that happens." Clarke swore, looking into the campfire. She was worried about Finn but the others in Mount Weather were still in the back of her mind.
"How much longer until chocolate cake turns into being set upside and drained for their blood?" Bellamy asked Clarke.
"I don't know. But we don't have much time." Clarke said.
"We find Finn, and then we get your friends out of Mount Weather." Naruto told her.
"And Lincoln." Octavia said, having been awake for the past few minutes. She rubbed her eyes before grabbing her bag and standing up. "I think we've slept long enough."
They grabbed their gear and continued on their trek through the woods as night turned to day. Octavia continued leading the path when she stopped. Naruto looked ahead and saw the partially destroyed statue of Abraham Lincoln. "Geez. Honest Abe, what has this world done to you?"
"This is it. How far to the village?" Bellamy asked but Octavia didn't seem to answer. "O?"
"The Reapers came from there." Octavia pointed ahead as tears started running down her cheeks. "I couldn't save him, Bell. I couldn't save him."
Bellamy hugged Octavia to comfort her as she began crying. She stopped soon after, wiped her tears and they kept moving to the village when they heard gunfire. "Oh, god." Clarke muttered.
"Naruto, go! It's up ahead!" Octavia shouted so Naruto super sped ahead of them.
He ran through the woods and saw Finn shooting at unarmed Grounders, many of whom were women and children. They were all corralled in a kennel like animals and Finn just kept shooting with 12 already dead. Naruto ran forward and caught all the bullets before they could kill any more Grounders. He grabbed Finn's gun, yanked it out of his hands and hit him in the face with it. Finn fell to the ground and Naruto dropped the gun and bullets he caught as he looked at all the dead Grounders.
"Jesus Christ." Naruto muttered, seeing Finn shoot down innocent and unarmed people like animals.
"Naruto?" Finn clutched his nose in pain. He wasn't expecting to see him again and Murphy just aimed his gun at him.
"What the hell did you do?" Naruto asked, removing his pack as he made his way to the nearest wounded Grounder but Nyko pushed him away. "Hey, I saved you from the Reapers and him from Finn. I'm not going to kill him."
Naruto looked over Artigas and saw the bullet holes in his side. He took out some bandages from his pack and a vial of morphine just as Clarke, Bellamy, and Octavia showed up to see the aftermath. Octavia rushed over and knelt down next to Naruto.
"Artigas." She said as Nyko cried tears over his slain kin while Clarke looked in disbelief at what she saw. Naruto was right. Finn looked at Clarke and walked up to her, but she backed away.
"I found you." He muttered with a smile on his face but she was horrified of what he did.
"Octavia, keep him on his side. You." Naruto said as Nyko looked at him.
"Nyko."
"Keep his feet elevated. The bullet's still in his side, I need to take it out before it does more damage." Naruto explained so Nyko kept Artigas's feet up while Octavia kept him on his side. "Bellamy, I need some water and heat it up!"
Bellamy saw a water collector and rushed over to get a cup and put it near a fire. Naruto took out his med kit and grabbed a pair of tweezers, some scissors, stitches, and medicine.
"What the hell are you doing?" Murphy asked.
"Saving his life." Naruto filled a syringe with morphine and put it in Artigas's arm. "Artigas, I need you to stay awake."
"He's a grounder, he doesn't need help." Murphy told him.
"Finn shot at him and a bunch of unarmed woman and children. He definitely needs my help." Naruto said as took a scalpel. "Hold him still."
Naruto made an incision only for Artigas to groan out in pain and struggle. "Keep him still, I'm getting the bullet out." Naruto said so Nyko and Octavia tried to keep Artigas from moving. He made a small incision in the wound so he could grab the bullet. "Bellamy, I need that water!"
Bellamy came over and put it next to him. Naruto dipped his tweezers into the hot water to sterilize them and then dug them into the wound. Artigas screamed bloody murder as it hurt like hell. "Hang on, I almost got it." Naruto muttered, managing to get ahold of the bullet and pulled it out. He put the bullet down and took some stitches and a needle and began sewing his wound. Once he was done, he wrapped Artigas's side in bandages. Naruto then helped the other Grounders he could save but there were 12 dead. After Naruto saved them, they quickly left and walked back to the dropship.
"You were right. Once he started, it got easier." Octavia said to Naruto.

Two days had passed since the massacre at the Grounder Village and it affected everyone once they returned to Camp Jaha. Finn and Murphy were taken and held for questioning while Abby kept a tighter leash on the camp and no one else was to leave. With what Finn did, they expected the Grounders to retaliate soon. Naruto was with Clarke and Bellamy outside of the ship sitting at a table near the Moonshine distillery. He was showing them the holographic scans of the tunnels his satellite search managed to find.
"Jeez, it's a labyrinth in there." Bellamy muttered and he was right. It was a literal maze of tunnels all underneath Mount Weather and the dam.
"Yeah. The scans show that the tunnels stretch for miles. A lot of them made within 100 years so I'm guessing the Mountain Men have used them to make it easier for their Reapers to get in and out. The closest open entrances to the tunnels are near the dam here. It's connected to an old mine system." Naruto explained as Clarke wrote all this down and jotting her own version of the map.
"Then that's our way in." Clarke said.
"Sure, if we can get past the Reapers and the Mountain Men." Bellamy reminded her.
"There are most likely going to be set to certain tunnels that are used often. But if we know which ones they use, we can figure out an easier way in." Naruto suggested.
"Yeah, but we're stuck here doing nothing. I swear to god, if your mother doesn't organize a mission soon, I'm going by myself." Bellamy stated.
"You won't be alone." Clarke told him when they heard movement from the ship and saw Murphy and Finn walk out.
"Guess the inquiry's over. How's Finn doing anyway?" Bellamy wondered.
"I haven't talked to him since we got back. I don't know what to say. He just kept shooting." Clarke said.
"We're at war, Clarke. We've all done things." Bellamy reminded her and it was true. None of them really held the moral high ground or were saints.
"You let the ends justify the means, you end up becoming a monster." Naruto told them. "I know you guys think Finn had no choice but there's always one. You didn't see what I did. He shot at them, deliberately. Women and children. I've done some things I'm not proud of but I've never hurt innocent people. There's no excuse for that."
"So, what do we do?" Bellamy asked.
"Right now, Finn needs to stay away from any of this. The second he's back out there, the easier it'll get for him to kill again." Naruto told them. "And I know it might not seem like much coming from someone from another world, but I know someone just like Finn. He was a nice guy, did a lot to help people, was a loving father and husband. But when his wife was murdered, when he lost someone he cared about he went down a dark path with no escape and killing became a way for him to get what he wanted…to get revenge."
"What happened?" Clarke asked, hoping for a happy ending.
"That man ended up killing 503 innocent people to justify his means." Naruto told them. "Finn needs to be careful."
Bellamy and Clarke heeded Naruto's words when he got a beep on his watch. "Gideon, has something." He got up to leave, walking past Finn and Murphy and making his way back into the ship. He eventually arrived at the engineering room where Raven was working.
"Hey." Naruto walked over to the station with the computer. "Finn's out if you want to talk to him."
"Thanks…but Finn and I aren't a couple." Raven told him. "We used to be but…he's with Clarke."
"I wouldn't be so sure about that." He commented.
"I still can't believe he did that. It doesn't sound like Finn." Raven said.
"Loss and vengeance have a way of changing people, Raven. I should know, I've seen it happen plenty of times. I doubt the Finn you know is really there anymore. If he is, he's buried deep underneath what came out at the village." Naruto told her.
"Naruto, you can't really believe that." She said.
"I've been doing this kind of thing a lot longer than you have, Raven. Lost and vengeance can turn you into something you're not. Doing things like I do, the evil's I fight, the decisions I've had to make, I've made peace with that. I've helped a lot of people and if I had to dirty my hands by being aggressive or out of character, then I understand why but there is a line I do not cross. I've never harmed innocent people. You do something like that, you trade away a piece of your soul every time until there's nothing left except a shell of what you use to be. Finn's made his deal with the devil when he did that to find Clarke. If he can make some semblance of peace with himself afterward is up to him. But something tells me the Grounders will want his head for what he did, and their forgiveness might not be as strong as yours." Naruto pointed out.
Raven thought about what he said when his program managed to track the origin of the weird encryption signal. "Did it find something?"
Naruto opened up the program and it began playing the weird humming encryption signal they heard before. "I think it got the location of the encryption signal." Naruto said and he was right. He cleaned it up a bit but it managed to locate the source of the signal to the be the top of Mount Weather.
"I'll get Clarke." Raven told him. She left and returned a few minutes later with Clarke.
"Raven said you found something."
"Yeah, listen." Naruto played the signal again so Clarke could hear the weird tone. "It's on every radio frequency and it's keeping any long-range communication from going out."
"It's also why the range on our walkies suck. It's the same signal Monty heard on the Black box of the Exodus Ship." Raven told her.
"Mount Weather crashed the Exodus ship. Can you get around the signal?" Clarke asked him.
"Around it? No. It's hard lined so I can't hack into it and the signal is military grade, so it'll disrupt anything. And I don't really have access to the stuff I need to block it. But I did manage to get the location of the broadcast tower." Naruto brought up the map to show a radio tower at the top of Mount Weather. "I get to that, I can blow it up."
"No one is going anywhere." They heard as Abby and Byrne walked in.
"Mom, listen to me—" "What do I have to do to get through to you? You and your friends are not soldiering and continuing to act like you are puts lives at risk." Abby told Clarke.
"Not soldiers, but quite frankly they're more capable than all of the adults in this camp." Naruto commented, earning looks from everyone. "When you first got here, you had an untrained man with a gun who shot into the woods and could have killed someone. Not to mention, those same adults got into a crowd-controlled frenzy when Marcus strolled that Grounder through, which likely would have gotten someone killed if I hadn't stopped it. Plus, you kept us from leaving straight away to find Finn, which would have prevented a massacre and further upset the tension between you and the Grounders. Clarke's the only one with experience on both the Grounders and the Mountain Men. She's your best shot at surviving past a week and getting those kids back."
Clarke and Raven smiled as Naruto just defended them while criticizing Abby's leadership and the actions of the adults who weren't acting in the best manner. "Mom, you need to listen. Naruto found something. Mount Weather is jamming our communications." Clarke told her.
"It's true. Its why the beacon isn't working. There could be other Ark stations on the ground." Raven added.
"And more guards. You said we don't have enough people to fight a two-front war. Mom, we're already fighting one." Clarke told her.
"The Grounder retaliation for the massacre could happen at any time. And when it does, we need every available man to defend this camp." Byrne pointed out to Abby.
"Then let us go. We're more than safe with Naruto with us." Clarke suggested.
"I'm up for it if they are." Naruto said.
"You're not gonna stop, are you?" Abby asked her daughter.
"Not until my friends are safe."
"Ok, but I'm coming with you." Abby told her.
"Ma'am, I just said—" "It's been quiet for two days. Maybe Kane is making headway with the Grounders' commander." Abby told her.
"Maybe, or maybe he's dead and their amassing their army as we speak." Byrne pointed out.
"Maybe. Which is why we need more guards." Abby said.
"Then it's settled. We're going back to Mount Weather." Clarke stated.
"Better pack for a hike." Naruto told them.
They all got some sleep and moved out at first light to Mount Weather. It was going to be a long walk since it was a 40-mile hike through rugged terrain. It was Clarke, Abby, Naruto, Raven, Bellamy, Octavia, a group of guards and unfortunately Finn. Despite what happened, they needed a tracker and Finn was the only one they had. Naruto was walking alongside Bellamy and Octavia as he was using his watch's holo-display as a GPS.
"I can't believe they let Finn come." Octavia remarked.
"Apparently, mass murder is something that's forgivable on this earth." Naruto said, not comfortable being out here with Finn. Even if he was a kid, he wasn't anymore. Naruto could see it in his eyes.
"He's the best tracker we've got." Bellamy told them before looking at the guards. "Don't forget to look up. The Grounders use the trees. That's how we lost John Mbgee."
"Relax, my watch's heat sensor system isn't picking up anything for miles. We're fine." Naruto assured them and led the way. "We've still got some ground to cover."
They kept walking for a few hours and stopped near a ridge across from Mount Weather. Raven took out a pair of binoculars and handed them to Naruto, but he shook his head no and put his goggles on. The interface activated and zoomed in and began scanning the top of the Mountain before isolating the radio tower and communication dish.
"There is it." Naruto took off his goggles and handed them to Clarke, so she could see.
"Can you destroy it?" Clarke asked him before handing the goggles to Raven so she could see.
"Definitely. I get to that thing, I can make it go boom." Naruto promised.
Raven took off the goggles and looked them over. "I've got to get me one of these."
"It'll be dark soon. And they're likely to have set up traps. Think you can disarm them?" Clarke asked.
"Shouldn't be too hard. My tech should be able to find them." Naruto said.
"All right, we'll leave after we get some rest." Clarke said as Abby looked and noted that two of the group were missing.
"We're missing two. Where the hell are they?" Abby asked Clarke. "Clarke, we're in enemy territory and their lives are my responsibility."
"They went to find a way in through one of the tunnels Naruto found." Clarke answered.
"A way in? That's not what this mission is about." Abby told her.
"It is for them." Clarke replied. Abby sighed in disbelief before looking at a guard.
"Find them, bring them back." She ordered.
"Yes, ma'am. Let's go!" The guard said as he and two others left. Finn grabbed a gun and walked up.
"I'm going with them." Finn said.
"Like hell you are." Naruto stopped him in his tracks.
"Finn, wait." Clarke said.
"We need you here." Raven told him.
"Why, so you can keep an eye on me?" Finn asked as he looked at Clarke and Clarke looked at the gun in his hand. "You'd have to be able to look at me to do that?"
"Finn…" "What do you think I'm gonna do?" Finn asked them.
"Right now, anything which is what makes you dangerous." Naruto grabbed the gun and tossed it to one of the guards. "They may have pardoned you but that doesn't mean you get to pick up a gun. Not anymore."
"Who the hell are you to decide that?" Finn asked, getting agitated and angry as Raven tried to calm him down.
"Finn, calm down."
"The guy who's been keeping everyone here safe and who helped those people you shot down like animals." Naruto told him. "And quite frankly, I'm not convinced you feel sorry for what happened there. If you were, you wouldn't have come."
Finn just turned and walked away into the woods. "I'll go get him." Clarke said as she followed him.
Naruto knelt and opened up the pack with explosives and primed a charge. "Don't you think you were a little hard on him?" Abby asked.
"Don't you think you were a little too easy on him?" Naruto pointed out.
"He thought he was saving his friends." Abby said.
"The road to hell is paved with good intentions. That doesn't mean you welcome them back like nothing happened." Naruto said when his watch began beeping. "Gideon, what's wrong?"
"I'm detecting a large wave of highly toxic radiation coming your way." Gideon informed him when Abby's walkie talkie went off.
"Raven, it's the Acid Fog! Use the tents!" Clarke shouted over the radio before it went to static.
"Set up your tents!" Abby shouted, taking the tent out of her pack and quickly setting it up. Just when it was finished, Naruto saw a yellowish fog closing in.
"Jesus Christ." Naruto said as they quickly got into the tent to wait out the acid fog as it washed over the area. "Is this a regular thing?"
"Here, yeah. Clarke said it killed one of the hundred when they first got here." Raven told him. Knowing they would be stuck here for a while, she decided to keep busy and took out the radio to see if she could find a way to break through the signal encryption.
"Damn, and I thought metahumans were bad." Naruto said as he helped her while Abby tried to contact Clarke but got nothing except static. "We're closer to the tower, so short-range communication is done."
"Clarke and Finn know these woods." Raven assured her.
"She left her pack and her tent is in it." Abby pointed out.
"They'll find shelter." Raven said.
"Naruto, can you go find her?" Abby asked, hopefully and not wanting to leave Clarke's fate uncertain.
"I can't. Even with my healing ability this radiation is too intense for me." Naruto told her when they began to get a faint, gargled sound over the radio. "What the hell?"
"What is that?" Abby asked.
"I don't know." Naruto said as Raven adjusted the frequency. "It sounds like this is the only frequency that's not jammed. And there's only one reason for that."
Naruto pulled out his phone and connected it to the radio. "Ok, what does that mean?" Abby asked.
"It means, that this is most likely the frequency that Mount Weather is using for communication. Once I crack the encryption signal, we'll be able to listen in." Naruto said as he used his phone to try and crack the encryption signal. It was a fairly elegant design, but it was essentially Mount Weather feeding their audio into a loop, which is why the transmission sounded so garbled.
"How much longer?" Abby wondered.
"Almost got it. I've honed it on the original transmission." Naruto pressed a button and turned the dial on the radio. Soon enough, a clean transmission came through. "Boom."
"A man after my own heart." Raven joked as they listened in.
"Check the other side and report back, over. Checking the western boundary. Stand by. Over. No signs of life, over. Has the veil lifted yet? Over. Negative, sir. Coverage is still 90 percent. Over. Keep searching. If they pop up, hit them again, over and out." The radio transmitted before there was no more noise.
"The veil?" Naruto asked.
"They're talking about the fog. It's a weapon." Abby said.
"Which means they attacked us." Raven added.
Abby opened up the flap of their tent and saw the fog was still present. "Sergeant Porter! Build your bomb. When that fog lifts, take the tower down. Copy?"
"Yes, ma'am." Porter replied back and Abby noted that Raven looked conflicted.
"What's wrong?"
"We're listening to the enemy. Blow the antenna, we don't be able to do that." Raven told her.
"Don't blow it and we won't be able to make contact with any other Ark survivors. And we need those reinforcements, Raven." Abby reminded her.
"Tough call. I know what Clarke would do." Raven said when Naruto got an idea.
"How about the best of both worlds." He suggested, deploying his gauntlet, and pressing a button making a small dart pop out. Removing his tool kit from his bag, he got to work on a very sophisticated and delicate job.
"What are you doing?" Abby asked.
"Both of you make good points, so let's do both. We keep that tower up, so we can listen in, but we also send out a message to the other stations." Naruto said as he used some tweezers to pry open the small dart to show a bunch of complex and small circuitry.
"Whoa. What is that?" Raven asked.
"This is a radio surveillance dart. Something I came up with a while ago. Small yet strong enough to carry over a signal for miles. I've used them to hack into police radio frequencies or listen in from far away. But I might be able to make some adjustments, and have it piggyback on the Mount Weather line to send a signal instead of receive one." Naruto took out a pincer and a precision wire cutter to do his work.
"You can do that?" Abby asked.
"Never tried it before but I'm up for giving it a shot." Naruto said as he began adjusting the wires of the dart. After that was done, he took a precision electrical tool to recode the transmitter to send out a message rather than receive incoming audio. Raven watched him diligently work on technology that was way more advance that anything she had worked on. Abby looked at Raven and saw she was really invested in this advanced technology. Raven was one of the brightest engineers she knew so seeing all of this must be incredible.
He then began coding the message that Abby wanted him to transmit. Naruto had Abby record the message on his phone and then he would upload that message to the dart. He finished with the rewiring of the dart and closed it back up. "That's it. All that's left is to see if it works." Naruto said as the fog began to lift around them. Abby looked through the flap and saw the fog was gone so they all got out and packed up their tents.
"Ok, now we have to get that dart onto the tower." Raven said so Naruto activated his gauntlet and loaded the dart into the dart launcher.
"Not a problem." He put on his goggles and the targeting system began to lock onto the tower and figure out the best path and way for him to fire. He raised his arm at a 45-degree angle and moved his hand a little to the left and fired the dart. The dart flew through the air as the breeze pushed it a little to the right and it hit the tower. It deployed and began transmitting the signal. Naruto checked, and the dart signal was clean and strong for miles. "Signal's good. If there are any other stations looking for anyone, they'll know you're alive."
"Naruto, you're a miracle worker." Abby commented.
"I prefer scientist, but I appreciate the compliment." He joked as they waited a bit and Clarke and Finn came back. Clarke walked up and hugged her mom, happy that she was safe.
"Bellamy and Octavia?" Clarke asked.
"They know to rendezvous here." Abby told her.
"Have you tried to radio?" Clarke wondered.
"No response." Raven told her.
"You didn't blow the tower." Clarke pointed out.
"We figure we'd keep it up for now. We managed to find Mount Weather's broadcast frequency." Naruto told her.
"Because of Naruto, we can listen in on them now." Raven said.
"What about the other Ark stations?" Clarke asked.
"Naruto managed to find a way around that too. He's managed to create a signal that uses the Mount Weather encrypted line." Raven said.
"If any other Ark Stations are out there, they should get the signal and we should get a message back." Naruto explained and she understood. "We're gonna get your friends out, Clarke."
Raven then walked up to Finn and the two spoke a bit when Naruto's watched beeped and detected a heat signature closing in. "Something's coming." Naruto said, activating his gauntlets. They were charged and ready to blast something. "Get behind me."
Clarke, Raven, Abby, and Finn did as they were told while the guards readied their guns. Naruto kept his eyes trained on the woods looking for any bustle of foliage or sound of movement.
"Come out, now!" Naruto shouted. A few seconds later a man stumbled into the clearing, obviously beep up and in pain. His hands had ropes around them and he looked like crap but once they saw his face, Clarke and the others recognized him as he walked up.
"Thelonious?" Abby walked past Naruto and had him lower his hands. Thelonious stumbled forward and she managed to catch him.
"I have a message…from the Commander." Jaha told her. "Leave…or die. We have two days."
Everyone looked at each other with feelings of dread as they now had another problem to deal with.
Line Break xxxxx
They returned to camp as the return of Chancellor Jaha spread through to everyone and people were anxious for an answer as to what was going on. Jaha told them that the Commander wanted everyone from the Ark to be gone from this land in two days or they'd be slaughtered. Jaha just wanted to leave but Abby didn't like the idea of leaving the 47 back in Mount Weather or about leaving Kane and the other Ark stations.
Naruto was with Clarke and Raven in the courtyard as they waited for someone to speak. Abby then came out to speak to them and confirmed that the Grounders were coming. Jaha told them to pack up to be safe and there was a place called the City of Light across the Dead Zone. But to be honest, Jaha sounded kind of crazy. Clarke disagreed, not wanting to leave the others but Jaha just got the people riled up. Abby then told everyone that no decision had been made.
"Jesus." Naruto said when Bellamy came out of nowhere and pulled him and Clarke aside.
"Bellamy, where the hell have you been?" Clarke asked.
"There's no time. You need to come with me." Bellamy told them both.
"Where?" Clarke asked.
"The dropship. Bring a med kit. Meet me at the far gate." Bellamy said as he left. Naruto grabbed his pack and made sure his med kit was in there as he followed him while Clarke bid farewell to Finn. They made their way through the woods and arrived at the dropship. Naruto and Clarke climbed up to the second level when a chained up rabid-looking man growled and charged at them. He would have tackled them both but was chained like a rapid animal.
"It's ok. He's been restrained." Bellamy assured them.
"But for how long?" Naruto asked as the man was acting like an animal and pulled on the restraints to try and get free.
"I can't believe we're back here again." Clarke muttered, seeing Lincoln in this state. It was an eye opener.
"Can you help him?" Octavia asked.
"I don't know." Clarke said as she walked forward but Naruto stopped her. "I knew Mount Weather controlled the Reapers. I had no idea they were creating them."
"If they do that to Lincoln, what are they doing to our friends?" Bellamy asked.
"I've run some theories on that…and every single option leads to them killing your friends." Naruto told him. Lincoln kept shouting and growling as he pulled on the restraints to break free when he began to shake. "He's convulsing."
"So, what does that mean?" Octavia asked.
"A lot of things." Naruto replied.
Clarke noticed something on his leg and shined her flashlight on it to see blood dripping down. "What happened to his leg?"
"I shot him." Octavia said, pained by her decision.
"Guys, he's lost a lot of blood." Bellamy said.
"It's a miracle he can still move." Naruto remarked as Clarke tried to move forward. That resulted in Lincoln jumping at her, causing her to jump back in shock. "Clarke, stay back."
Clarke looked and thought she saw something in Lincoln's neck. "Can you shine the light on his neck?" Octavia and Bellamy did, and they saw needle marks and colored veins at the point of injection. "Needle marks."
"You think he's been drugged?" Bellamy asked.
"Maybe." Clarke said when the wall restraint was yanked off and Lincoln grabbed Clarke, but Naruto shot a dart from his gauntlet and hit him in the chest. Lincoln let Clarke go and slumped to the ground, unconscious.
"Clarke, are you all right?" Naruto asked, giving her once over and she seemed fine.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Clarke replied as Octavia ran over to check on Lincoln.
"Tranquilizer dart. He'll be out for an hour." Naruto stated and Octavia was relieved "Tie him to the ground."
Bellamy, Octavia, and Clarke took all the spare rope and seatbelts they could and tied Lincoln down to the floor while Naruto took out his med kit. He took out a cotton swab to dab a small sample of Lincoln's blood. He then opened up his gauntlet and put it on the scanner.
"Gideon, analyze the DNA and figure out what's wrong." Naruto said.
"Right away, Naruto." Gideon got to work on analyzing the blood sample.
"Don't worry, Octavia. I'll help Lincoln however I can." Naruto said as she looked at him and smiled.
"Thank you." She said to him.
Naruto took out a bottle of water and an energy bar to replenish himself when he noticed Bellamy looking at him. "Naruto, you said you had an idea on what was happening to our friends."
"Based on what Clarke said the Mountain Men were doing to the Grounders and how their blood can't metabolize radiation, it won't be long before they figure out your blood does the same but a lot better. Once they figure that out, they'll start using your friend's blood to make better radiation treatments but…" Naruto struggled to find the right words to put it delicately.
"Just tell us, Naruto." Clarke said.
"But blood transfusions is not going to be a permanent solution. If they really want to come out from that Mountain…they'll most likely need a bone marrow transplant. Taking the bone marrow from the 47 and transplanting it to them would allow their bodies to naturally metabolize radiation like yours does." He explained. Honestly the others wished he found a more delicate way to put it.
"Oh my god."
"But what happens to the donors?" Clarke asked.
"In all the simulations that Gideon ran, taking into account how many people could be in that mountain and what Clarke said…that many operations would kill all 47." Naruto said in a somber tone. "Which is why we're not leaving and we're gonna get your friends out before that happens."
Clarke, Bellamy, and Octavia now realized the danger the others were in as Naruto's gauntlet beeped and Gideon's head appeared.
"I have analyzed the blood sample and found the cause of the irregularity." Gideon projected a weird looking chemical compound that shared a striking resemblance to Phencyclidine, LSD, Anabolic Steroids, Opioids, and Methamphetamines. She also showed them the areas it was affecting which involved his muscular system, his heart, and his brain.
"What the hell is that?" Bellamy wondered.
"Jesus Christ, what the hell did they inject him with? It's no wonder he's acting like this." Naruto looked over the chemical compounds and what they were doing to his body. Inhumane is an understatement. "Gideon, how do we fix this?"
"It would appear his body is coming down from the most recent drug administration. A concentrated chemical solution of Ammonia nitrate, Calcium Baroxide, Disulfiram, Naltrexone, Depakote, and tranexamic acid should help his body come down from the induced high and aid in his recovery." Gideon suggested.
"Recovery? What the hell is your computer talking about?" Bellamy asked as Naruto opened up his med kit.
"Lincoln's been drugged. Drugged with what, I have no idea but it's what's causing his behavior. And right now, his body needs another fix, or he'll go into shock." Naruto explained, taking out several vials of medicine. "If I mix together the right medicine, I might be able to save him."
"What can we do?" Clarke asked.
"Keep him alive for now." Naruto replied, handing Clarke an IV bag, and she put the needle in his arm. She then put a clean bandage on his gun wound so he didn't bleed out or get infected.
Octavia tried to give Lincoln some water, but he shot awake and spat it out. "Keep him restrained." Naruto told them so Bellamy and Clarke tightened the ropes. "Jesus, whatever's in his body is keeping the tranquillizer from working."
"Can't you knock him out again?" Clarke wondered.
"No. He'll just burn through it and he's gonna need to be awake for his body to go through the detox." Naruto told her when he saw Octavia was frozen. "Don't worry, Octavia. I'm not giving up on him."
"Naruto's right. Once the drug is out of his system, he'll be ok." Bellamy told her.
"You can't protect me from this one, big brother." Octavia said as she left to get some water.
Naruto looked through his pack and saw he had everything he needed except for a blood clotting agent. "Dammit!"
"What's wrong?" Clarke asked.
"I'm missing the last piece of medicine." Naruto said as he tried to find something that would work. "Dammit! I'll just have to improvise."
Naruto took small doses of each medicine and mixed them together into a separate vial when Octavia walked up back up with Nyko. Bellamy grabbed his gun and pointed it at him, but Naruto got in his way.
"Bellamy, put the gun down!"
"Bellamy, don't. He's Lincoln's friend and their healer." Octavia told him when Lincoln began shaking and foam started to come out of his mouth.
"He's seizing." Naruto and Clarke held him down to prevent him from getting loose or hurting himself. Nyko joined them and unrolled a small pouch of bottles, most likely medicine.
"What are you doing?" Clarke asked only for Nyko to hold up a small vial.
"Yu gonplei ste odon." Nyko said as he uncorked the vial and held it over Lincoln's mouth when Clarke recognized what he said.
"Wait!" Clarke put her hand over Lincoln's mouth and stopped the liquid while Nyko took out a knife, but Bellamy raised his gun.
"Back off, right now." Bellamy warned him.
"Yu gonplei ste odon." Clarke remembered that phrase from before. "It's what they say before death. He's not trying to heal him. He's trying to kill him."
"Nyko. Is it true?" Octavia asked.
"Yes. Death is the only way." Nyko told her.
"It's not." Naruto said as Nyko looked at him. "I figured out what's causing this. I can help him."
"Many have tried and failed." Nyko assured him.
"They weren't me." Naruto said when they heard the latch open and Finn walked in.
"We have to go. The camp is leaving." Finn told everyone. The Second Nyko saw him he was overcome with rage and slammed him against the wall and strangled him.
"You! Murderer!"
"Get off him!" Bellamy shouted as he pointed his gun, but Octavia tried to stop him.
"You slaughtered my people. Elders. Children. Innocents." Nyko muttered as Finn struggled for breath. "Blood must have Blood!"
"Get out of the way!" Bellamy shouted to Octavia.
"You are not shooting him!" Octavia told him as Clarke walked up with a stun stick and zapped Nyko, knocking him away and saving Finn.
Octavia then looked at Lincoln and saw he wasn't breathing. "Lincoln?" she called out and checked his pulse. "He's not breathing."
Naruto lowered his face to Lincoln's and didn't hear any breathing. "His heart stopped. Move." Naruto said and Octavia got out of the way. He then held his hands out and began vibrating them, channeling the speed force as his hands began to flicker with lightning.
"Tristraka." Nyko muttered. (Lightning)
"Stay back." Naruto warned everyone and they all took a step back. He then touched Lincoln's chest so the lightning shocked through his body and heart. Lincoln's chest heaved like Naruto hit him with shock paddles before his heart restarted and he began breathing again. "He's fine. Jesus Christ."
Octavia smiled at Naruto while Nyko couldn't believe what he just saw. "He was dead. How did you do that? Channel lightning?"
"I'm not from around here." Naruto answered.
"Wait, Nyko. You've tried bringing Reapers back before? And they died like this?" Clarke asked as Nyko nodded. That gave Clarke an idea. "I know how to stop the attack."
"Offer to help the Grounders who were turned into Reapers?" Naruto asked and she nodded. "It's a better idea than running."
"What makes you think they'll even go for it?" Bellamy pointed out.
"Because the Reapers are bigger of a threat then we are. The enemy of my enemy is my friend." Clarke said.
"We've got to try." Naruto added, looking at Lincoln when he remembered Octavia said something about Nyko being a healer. "Nyko, Octavia said you're a healer."
"Yes, I am." Nyko replied.
"Do you have any kind of blood clotting agent? Something that slows blood flow." Naruto asked. Nyko nodded and handed him a small vial from his pouch. "If there is a god, he must love me."
Naruto moved over to his stuff and added in the last bit of medicine in a vial. He then took out a syringe and filled it with the solution. Naruto tapped the syringe and looked at Lincoln. "Will that help him?" Octavia asked.
"Most likely." Naruto said as he looked down at Lincoln and then at the others. "If any of you believe in a higher power, start praying."
He stabbed the syringe into Lincoln's chest and injected him with it until the syringe was empty. He pulled the syringe out and everyone waited with bated breath to see what happened. Naruto noticed that injection sites for whatever drug Lincoln was given were regaining their normal color and the weird color in his veins was receding when Lincoln began shaking.
"He's seizing, hold him down!" Naruto shouted as he, Clarke, and Octavia held him down while Lincoln's body continued to convulse.
"What's happening?" Octavia asked.
"His's body going through the detox." Naruto said as Lincoln's eyes shot open and he turned his head. What happened next was him puking up some kind of red liquid. Most like a combination or vomit and whatever drug Lincoln was injected with. Naruto undid the restraint against his chest, so Lincoln could turn more as he kept puking up the red liquid. It was the amount of puke that was disgusting and disturbing. Lincoln soon stopped puking and laid against the floor as Octavia looked over him, worrying about if he was ok when he opened his eyes and turned his head to see her.
"Octavia…" He managed to whisper. Octavia cried tears of joy, happy that Lincoln was back.
Nyko looked and couldn't believe that his friend was saved from death and from being a Reaper. "Impossible."
"You'll find that the word doesn't apply to me." Naruto said to him when Octavia slammed into him, hugging him with all her strength.
"Thank you." She said and he hugged her back.
"I told you I'd help him." Naruto said as Octavia smiled and knelt down next to Lincoln.
"Naruto, can you do that for the other Reapers?" Clarke asked.
"Probably. If I have the medicine, I'll be able to do it. The ones who have been affected by the drug longer than Lincoln might not have the same outcome." Naruto theorized. "Drugs have a funny way of messing with your body. But if I can get whatever drug they're using, I might be able to synthesize a cure."
"Let's go back and tell my mom. She needs to know about the Reapers." Clarke told him Naruto took out another IV bag and handed it to Octavia while Clarke went down to speak to Finn.
"Octavia, give him this when the other bag is empty. The drug is out of his system, but his body and nervous system have been through a lot. He'll be sweating and puking to get the remainder out, so make sure he stays hydrated." Naruto instructed and she understood what she needed to do.
Naruto then went down and walked with Clarke and Finn back to camp where they saw everyone packed up and ready to leave. Abby and Jaha were in the camp overseeing the evacuation when they saw the kids arrive.
"Clarke, where have you been? We're leaving." Abby said.
"I can stop the attack." Clarke told her.
"What are you talking about?" Jaha asked.
"We haven't negotiated with the Grounders because we haven't had anything to offer. The biggest threat they face is from the Reapers. We can eliminate that threat once and for all." Clarke told her.
"How?" Abby asked.
"Abby, you can't seriously be—" "Over there." They heard as they looked to the horizon and saw a few lit torches that then began to spread and spread.
"They're here." Jaha muttered.
Naruto put on his goggles and activated night vision mode to get a clear image of how many Grounders there were.
"Naruto, how many are there?" Abby asked.
"Thousands." Naruto replied, filling them all felt a sense of dread. The guards immediately tightened up their posts while the civilians quickly grabbed their belongings. Abby, Clarke, Naruto, and Jaha went inside to the council meeting room to talk about Clarke's plan.
"So, what is this plan of yours?" Abby asked.
"The Mountain Men use the Reapers as their attack dogs. They send them out to take people captive, so they can be used as blood banks. But the Reapers are actually Grounders. They've been injected with some kind of drug that turns them into animals. The Grounders have tried to save them but have failed. Naruto's done it." Clarke explained.
"So, you're suggesting we offer our services in saving the Reapers?" Abby asked.
"It's a plan. The enemy of my enemy is my friend and we'll need their help to get the others out of Mount Weather and stop the Mountain Men. They haven't attacked yet which means we still have time." Clarke said.
"We have two hours till dawn." Abby told her.
"Let me talk to the Commander. She was Anya's second. If Anya's there, she'll listen to me." Clarke suggested.
"We don't know if the Commander is here." Jaha pointed out.
"We do. Nyko told Octavia she's here to oversee the attack. We've got to try. It's a better idea then going across a desert where half of you will die within the first three days." Naruto said.
"This is ridiculous. Abby, we're wasting time. Give me the authority now." Jaha told her.
"Hold on. Naruto, what do you mean?" Abby asked.
"The Dead Zone he wants to cross, the desert? It stretches for 100 miles. There are nearly two hundred of you. Do you even have enough food and water to cross that for weeks? If you don't, more than half of you would die within the first three days. Giving us a chance to talk to the Commander and negotiate for peace is the best alternative." Naruto told her.
"And this drug they've injected the Reapers with? What is it?"
"I'm not sure, exactly. It seems to be a combination of a bunch of different drugs that affect the brain as well as the body. But they need regular injections, or they'll go through serious withdrawal. It's probably why the Reapers are such a loyal force. If they don't do what the Mountain Men say, they don't get the drug." Naruto explained.
"And the medicine? Can you make more?" Abby asked.
"If I have the ingredients, I can do it. I'll give you a list later." Naruto said.
"This is what we're banking our lives on? Ifs and maybes? Abby, we have an out. We have a way to save the lives of our people." Jaha told her.
"Not all of them." Naruto reminded him.
"We will come back to save the kids inside Mount Weather." Jaha stated once again.
"How? Once you leave, they won't let you come back and if you attack them, then more of you will end up dead." Naruto told him.
"Abby, this has gone on long enough." Jaha walked up to her, not wanting to entertain any other idea other his. "If you do not give the order to begin the exodus, you are killing us all."
"I'm sorry." Abby said before looking at Jaha. "I can't give that order."
"Abby, give the order." Jaha told her.
"No." She replied.
"I am the elected chancellor of the Ark. And I am not going to let you risk the lives of my people. Understand? I am going to ask you once again, give the order to begin the exodus."
"No. Are you through yet?" She asked as Jaha looked at everyone in the room before moving to Sergeant Byrne and Miller.
"Sergeant Miller. Major Byrne. I am relieving Dr. Griffin of her command. Place these three into custody, but make sure that they are ready to leave with the rest of us within the hour." Jaha ordered. Clarke looked at Naruto who nodded to her. "Right now, major! Or the blood of everyone in this camp will be on your hands too."
Naruto then walked up behind Jaha and channeled electricity into his hands before zapping him in the back, sending him to the ground. Naruto sighed as he wiped his hands when he noticed everyone looking at him. "What? He was a little deranged. Someone had to do it."
"Major Byrne, Sergeant Miller, put Chancellor Jaha in the stockade." Abby ordered.
"Yes, ma'am." Byrne replied as they carried Jaha away but Byrne looked at Abby. "Are you sure about this, ma'am."
"Yes, I have faith in them." Abby looked at Naruto and Clarke.
Byrne and Miller then took Jaha away. "I'll send a guard detail with you." Abby told Clarke.
"No. They'll see it as a threat. I have to do this on my own." Clarke told her.
"No, you don't. I'll go with you." Naruto stated.
"Naruto, you don't have to."
"I do. I can explain how to save the Reapers to the Commander and get you out of there quickly if something goes wrong. Besides, you don't let a friend go into a dangerous situation alone." Naruto told her and she smiled.
"I feel better that he'll be there with you. But if you're wrong…all of us will die." Abby told them.
"No. I can hold them off or get you all far enough away from here before they can attack." Naruto said as they looked at him. "I've never gone into a situation without a backup to my backup plan."
"Let's hope we won't need it." Clarke said as she walked out, and Naruto followed her.
By the time they exited the station, the sun had peaked out over the horizon. Naruto and Clarke exited the camp and made their way to the ridge where they saw the largest group of Grounders had set up camp. They walked up and the scouts stopped them with weapons.
"My name is Clarke Griffin. I wish to speak with the Commander." Clarke said as the grounders marched her and Naruto up the hill. Soon, more Grounders came up to surround them, making her a little nervous. "Naruto, you can get us out of here quickly, right?"
"Don't worry. I can get us out of here before they can take a swing." Naruto promised. That made her feel a little better. They kept moving up the ridge when they came upon more Grounders and a large tent, most likely where the Commander was stationed. They walked up to the tent when a man stopped them.
"If you so much as look at her the wrong way, I will slit your throat." With that threat out of the way, he opened the tent flap so they could walk in. They saw more guards in the tent, Anya, a dark-skinned woman, and a young girl probably the same age as Naruto sitting on a throne. She had an aura of strength, ferocity, and calmness about her as she twiddled a knife between her fingers.
Naruto and Clarke stopped in the middle of the tent saw the hateful glares and bloodlust directed their ways. You could cut the tension with a knife when the Commander spoke. "You're the one who burned 300 of my warriors alive."
"You're the one who sent them there to kill us." Clarke responded as Lexa stabbed her knife into her chair.
"Do you have an answer for me, Clarke of the Sky People?" Lexa asked.
"I've come to make you an offer." Clarke said.
"This is not a negotiation." Lexa told her.
"Let me kill her and get this over with." Indra spoke only for Lexa to signal her to be quiet.
"We can help you beat the Mountain Men." Clarke stated and that earned her interest.
"Go on."
"Hundreds of your people are trapped inside Mount Weather. Kept in cages and their blood is used as medicine. Anya was there, she saw this too." Clarke said as Lexa glanced at Anya who nodded. "My people are trapped too. I know because I was there."
"Lies. No one escapes the Mountain." Indra stated.
"Anya did. Or are you calling her a liar?" Naruto asked. Him speaking for the first time earned him a look from Lexa before she focused her attention to Clarke.
"Anya is the only reason you two aren't dead yet. I'm still waiting for an offer, Clarke." Lexa said.
"The only way to save both our people is if we join together." Clarke suggested.
"Those who are about to die will say anything." Indra commented.
"She speaks the truth, Indra." Anya tried to tell her.
"Your offer?" Lexa wondered.
"The Mountain Men are turning your people into Reapers." Naruto explained, earning shock from Lexa and the others. "I can turn them back."
"Impossible." Indra said. "Commander, I beg you let me kill them."
"We've already done it with Lincoln." Clarke stated only for Indra growl in anger and unsheathe her sword. She walked up to Clarke, but Naruto got in her path.
"That traitor is the reason my village was slaughtered by your people." Indra stated, ready to impale both of them on her sword but Naruto kept her back.
"Back off." Naruto warned her. "I've never hit a woman but you're starting to test my patience."
"Enough!" Lexa shouted. Indra sheathed her sword and stepped back.
"It's ok, Naruto." Clarke assured him and he stepped back.
"Is he your guard?" Lexa asked as Clarke looked at Naruto.
"My friend. He's the one who cured Lincoln and saved those from the village after what happened. He can do the same to the Reapers." Clarke promised. Lexa just stood up and walked up to them.
"You say you can turn Reapers back into men?" Lexa asked and he nodded. "Then prove it. Show me Lincoln."
Naruto and Clarke led the Commander and a group of her guards to the dropship but stopped when they got to the door.
"Octavia! Bellamy! It's me, Naruto! I'm with Clarke and we're coming up with guests! Don't shoot!" Naruto shouted as he climbed up the ladder and saw Bellamy leaning against the wall with Octavia and Nyko sitting next to Lincoln. "How is he?"
"He's asleep for now." Octavia replied.
"Well, he better wake up. We have company." Naruto said as Clarke walked up and then Lexa resulting in Nyko bowing his head.
"Commander."
Lexa looked at Nyko and then saw Lincoln was on the ground. "He's dead."
"No, he's just asleep." Naruto nodded to Octavia who shook Lincoln awake. Lincoln groaned as Indra and the others came up and saw he was wearing Reapers clothing but was alive.
"Octavia." Lincoln muttered, making her smile. Indra then sheathed her sword and looked at Anya.
"Inform the others. Do not attack until I give the order too." Lexa ordered. she then motioned for Clarke and Naruto to follow her as they walked out of dropship and into the woods while Bellamy and Octavia took Lincoln back to Camp Jaha to oversee his treatment.
"Lincoln's recovery was…impressive. No one's ever survived such a fate before. I thought it was impossible." Lexa said.
"I've been known to do the impossible. The Mountain Men inject your people with a drug. All we need to do is let time work the drug out of their system and give them medicine. The withdrawal and recovery won't be pleasant…but they'll be back to normal when it's over." Naruto explained.
"We can do the same for the others in Mount Weather." Clarke told Lexa.
"You may have your truce." Lexa promised, allowing Clarke to breath easy now.
"Thank you."
"I just need one thing in return." Lexa told her.
"Tell me."
"Deliver me the one you call Finn. Our truce begins with his death." Lexa told her.
"You can't be serious." Clarke said.
"There has to be something else that we can be do." Naruto told her.
"There isn't. Only Finn can pay for the lives he took in the village. Blood must have Blood. I'll have two of my guards' escort you back and they will retrieve Finn. Do so quickly, Clarke of the sky people. After his death, we can begin our truce." Lexa promised before she and her guards left.
"God dammit. Out of the frying pan and into the fire." Naruto muttered, rubbing his forehead in exhaustion. It was just one thing after another since he came to his earth.
Naruto and Clarke walked back to the station with the two guards who were now on horses. They were escorted back as Indra's guards waited by the gate while Naruto and Clarke walked in. Soon a crowd of people amassed around them to figure out what was going on.
Finn walked through the crowd to see Clarke. "Are you ok?"
"You can't be out here." Clarke told him as Abby walked up and hugged her.
"What did she say? Is there a chance for a truce?" she wondered.
"Yes." Clarke said and everyone talked amongst themselves, happy that they didn't need to worry about dying or leaving.
"But she wants something in return." Naruto added.
"We're helping her people, what more does she want?" Bellamy wondered.
"They want you." Clarke said to Finn. "If we want a truce, we have to give them Finn."
"What the hell are you talking about?" Raven asked.
"That's their offer." Naruto told them.
"That's not an offer." Raven stated.
"It's a punishment. For what happened at the village. Blood for Blood." Finn put it together himself.
"That's insane." Bellamy said.
"If we refuse?" Abby asked.
"Then they attack." Clarke replied.
"I say we give him up!"
"Get rid of him!"
"Yeah, go on!"
"Give him to the Grounders!"
Some of the people shouted as Raven pushed a guy back. Clarke then tried to calm her down as another man walked up to them.
"I'm not dying for him. Spacewalker burned three months of oxygen from the Ark! He should have floated a long time ago!" He shouted before grabbing Finn. Naruto grabbed his arm, twisted it to break the bone and threw him over his shoulder. He then fired a repulsor beam into the air causing everyone to back away in fear.
"Back the hell up or you get worse than a broken bone!" Naruto warned them, aiming his gauntlets at the crowd of people who backed away. A man tried to charge him, but Naruto knocked him out with a right cross to the face. "Anyone else want to do something stupid?!"
The crowd dispersed away as the guards kept them back and reinforced all the main points while Abby called a meeting with the council. Naruto walked inside to check on Lincoln and walked through the halls to the infirmary. When he walked in, he saw Octavia and Abby with Lincoln when a huge wave of nausea kicked in, worst then the last time.
"Dammit!" Naruto slammed into a cart and knocked over a bunch of tools. Abby and Octavia saw Naruto collapse into a cart and struggled to regain his balance so they rushed over to support him.
"Naruto!" Octavia propped him up on her shoulders but he was much bigger than her.
"Gurney!" Abby shouted as they laid him down. Octavia helped him on when she saw he pass out. Dr. Griffin noticed this too and quickly checked his pulse and did feel on. "He's alive." Abby assured her before putting an IV in his arm. "Jackson, watch over him."
Clarke, Raven, and Bellamy soon walked in to see Naruto unconscious on a gurney. "Oh my god, Naruto!"
"What happened?" Bellamy asked as they rushed over to him.
"I don't know. He stumbled into the infirmary and then passed out." Abby explained. Having heard that, Raven knew the cause.
"It's his metabolism." Raven said as they looked at her. "I saw this happen to Naruto twice. He said a side effect of his powers is that his metabolism burns super-fast."
"His blood sugar must be too low." Abby got another IV bag and hooked it up to Naruto.
"But he's never passed out before. He said he's been rationing his energy bars. He uses them to keep his metabolism up." Raven informed them. Clarke opened Naruto's bag and pulled out some energy bars. "He said he had over 10 dozen last time I ask. How many does he have now?"
Clarke did some quick counting of all the energy bars in his pack. "15."
"We'll need to keep an eye on him. Make sure he has more food." Abby said as they nodded.
Line Break xxxxx
Naruto was unconscious in the infirmary for nearly 36 hours as Jackson kept replacing the IV bags. He ended up using about 17 IV bags before he woke up. Naruto opened his eyes and groaned in pain, feeling like crap. He managed to sit up on the gurney but felt extremely lightheaded and with half of his usual strength. Like he ran three marathons with an anchor strapped to his back and without stretching afterward. He took a glance over to his side and saw the large pile of empty IV bags.
"Dammit." Naruto pulled out the IV line and tossed it away. He put his feet on the ground and steadied himself with the gurney, trying to get feeling back into his body. He saw his pack and quickly ate two energy bars with gusto when he saw there was no one around. "Where the hell is everyone?"
Naruto then heard chanting coming from outside, so he put on his jacket and walked through the halls of the station and saw everyone at the fence like they were watching something.
Raven saw a bunch of the Grounders were setting up a large post on the ridge. "What is that?"
"It's for Finn." Clarke said.
"We'll get him back. We'll get in close and hit them hard." Bellamy planned.
"Son, there's thousands of them. Even if you could kill hundreds, they'd still wipe out this camp and your friend would still die." Kane told him.
"We have to try." Bellamy pointed out.
"Abby. Abby, we have to do something." Raven pleaded with her.
"No, Raven." Abby told her.
"Anything I can do to help?" Naruto asked as the crowd moved apart to show him standing there, looking a little better but not back to a hundred percent.
"Naruto, what are you doing up?" Abby asked as she walked over to him to make sure he was ok.
"I needed to see what was going on." Naruto said as Raven ran up to him, a pleading look on her face.
"Naruto, the Grounders have Finn. You need to get him. Super speed in there and get him. Please!" Raven begged.
"Of course. Just give me…give me a second." Naruto stumbled a bit and shook his head try and clear out the confusion/headache.
"Naruto?" Bellamy got to his side to steady him when he saw him stumble a bit.
"I'm fine. Just a…feeling a little lightheaded." Naruto said as he took a few steps forward only to collapse. Bellamy and Kane caught him and helped him back to his feet. "I'm fine. I'm fine."
"No, you're not. Your blood sugar must still be low. If you run out there like you are now, you could die." Abby told him.
"Abby, I have to try. I'm the only one who can save him." Naruto said as Clarke made a decision. She was going to speak to the Commander and Raven slipped her a small blade so if Finn wasn't released, Clarke was to kill the Commander.
They then saw Clarke walk into the Grounder camp. "Clarke. What the hell is she doing?" Abby asked.
"I'll get her." Naruto tried to walk forward but Kane stopped him.
"Wait. We've got to let her try." Kane said as they all watched with anticipation to see what happened. Naruto walked over to the fence next to Raven and Bellamy as they saw Clarke walk into camp. Finn was being dragged out and tied to the post for his punishment.
Naruto watched this in disarray as he concentrated to try and get a spurge of adrenaline to use his speed, but he was still too weak. They then saw the unthinkable happen as Finn's head slumped over dead and Clarke's hand were bloody.
"Oh my god.".
"NO!" Raven shouted in horror before collapsing to the ground. "NOO! NO! NO! NO!" Naruto hugged her close as Raven cried out for Finn. Never in all his life did he feel so powerless.
Kane, Abby, and Raven were allowed into the camp to check on Clarke and so Raven could mourn Finn. They would then leave for the village in the morning, so Finn's body would be burned with the dead. After that, then there would be peace.
Raven sat on the cart that had Finn's body, not wanting to leave him while Lexa and her group rode on horses. Naruto, Clarke, and the others were walking on their way to TonDC, the head village. Based on the old statue of Abraham Lincoln he saw from before, he figured TonDC meant Washington DC. Naruto hadn't spoken to Clarke but based on the looks on her face and how she was acting, she was still grappling with her decision of killing Finn.
"Naruto." He heard from behind and turned to see Octavia with a piece of smoked, dried meat. "Here."
"I'm fine, Octavia." Naruto said only for her to put it in his hand.
"You're not. You passed out before because your rationing your energy bars, but you need to keep your strength up. We need you." Octavia told him. Naruto looked at the meat and took a bite.
"Thanks." Naruto said to her as Octavia handed him a pouch of more smoked meat.
"Lincoln did a little hunting. Here, you need to keep your strength up." Octavia handed it to him.
"Octavia says you have strange…skills. How is that possible?" Lincoln wondered.
"It's a long story. Short version, I'm from another planet and was struck by lightning." Naruto said as he walked up to Clarke. "I'm sorry, Clarke. I should have done something."
"It's fine, Naruto." Clarke replied.
"How are you doing?" Bellamy wondered as Naruto took a bite of smoke meat.
"Don't worry about me." Clarke said she told them but Naruto wasn't convinced.
"Look, Clarke. If you want to talk, I have an open ear. I'm probably one of the few people who understands what you're going through." He told her.
"I'm fine, Naruto." Clarke said once again before walking ahead to be alone.
"She's not fine." Naruto commented.
"What's wrong with her?" Bellamy asked.
"Guilt. Doing something like this…the guilt of what you did will eat away at you bit by bit. She's been dodgy and staring off at empty places?" Naruto asked and Bellamy nodded.
"Yeah." Bellamy replied.
"She's seeing the face of the person she killed. It's her guilt and until she really comes to terms with what she did, it will eat away at her until she's lost in herself." Naruto explained, taking out another piece of smoked meat to eat.
"So, what do we do?" Bellamy asked.
"We help her however we can but it's ultimately up to Clarke to forgive herself." Naruto told him.
"How do you know all this?" Bellamy wondered making Naruto remembered a long conversation he had with Oliver when he accidently killed Orochimaru and the long recovery he took.
"Because I've gone through the same thing." Naruto said as they kept walking.
When it got dark, they set up camp with Lexa and the Grounders on one side of the clearing and Clarke and her group on the other. They set up tents and fires but Clarke had set up a blanket in the middle so Bellamy walked over to get her.
"Clarke, it's safer on our side."
"We need to trust them, Bellamy. There are no more sides." Clarke said as she laid down. Naruto walked over and sat down next to her which made her feel safer with him there, so she was able to get some rest. Naruto stared at the fire and ate some more meat to keep his metabolism up. He took out his phone and looked some photos of his friends and Linda, smiling as he remembered better times. He also wondered how they were doing and if they were fine. He just hoped Zoom hadn't figured out to jump dimensions like he did. Most of the camp had gotten to sleep when he heard Clarke mumble and shake so he pat her head.
"Shh…it's ok, Clarke. It's ok." Naruto whispered and she relaxed before going back to sleep. "It's fine. I know what you're going through."
Naruto stared into the fire unaware that Clarke was listening to him. "I've been where you are. Blood staining my hands, my heart feeling like it's going to burst from my chest, my stomach in knots, seeing the ghost of the person I've killed. And I've tried to justify it because the man I killed on accident was a horrible person. The terrible things he's done to families, the lives he's ruined, the people he's killed, thinking that the world was a better place without him in it." Naruto said as he remembered what he went through and how Linda, Oliver, Dig, Felicity, Barry, Caitlin, Cisco, and even Eobard Thawne helped him get through it.
"But all of that means nothing. All that matters in the end is what I did. It's a reminder that taking a life is never easy but it's sometimes unavoidable. The guilt will eat away at you but it's a good thing because it lets you know that you're not a horrible person." Naruto said before looking down at Clarke. "You have to make peace with the decision you made, Clarke. No one else can do that, only you can."
He got some rest and managed to sleep for a few hours. The group moved out at first light and kept moving along the road when they stopped near some gates, which was the village the massacre took place. They stopped as Lexa and her group disembarked their horses and walked up to Clarke and her group.
"Weapons." Gustus ordered so Lincoln walked forward and handed him a knife.
"We have to disarm before we enter." Lincoln explained.
Clarke handed over her pistol, Bellamy took out the clip of his rifle and handed it over and Kane did the same. Naruto just held his hands up, having nothing as Gustus pat him over and found no gun or knife so he moved over to Raven. Clarke looked at Naruto who winked at her and she nodded back. Gustus moved over to Raven and took a total of 4 knives, a rifle, and her swiss army knife. "Commander, they're clear." Gustus told her.
The walked into camp as the villagers welcome the Commander with open arms but then immediately turned hostile when they saw Clarke and the others. They waved their weapons and shouted in anger. Naruto looked around and had the sinking feeling that something could and would happen.
"Make sure everyone stays close." Naruto told Bellamy who began to spread the word.
They were stopped by an angry villager who didn't want them to enter when Gustus beat the crap out of him for getting in his way. Clarke managed to talk Lexa down as she didn't want her people blamed for this as well and tension to build.
"The Sky People march with us now. Anyone who tries to stop that will pay with their life." Lexa ordered and everyone heeded her command. They walked into the village as Finn's body was placed with the others on a funeral pyre.
"People of TonDC. In fire, we cleanse the pain of the past." Lexa said as Indra handed her a torch. She then held it to Clarke. "Clarke."
Naruto noticed the way Lexa looked at Clarke and it was the same way Linda looked at him. Lexa found Clarke attractive. Clarke took the torch and stood next to her and she seemed to pause before setting the pyre ablaze.
"Yu Gonplei ste odon." Clarke muttered and the pyre erupted into an inferno. Raven cried tears of sadness so Naruto hugged her from the side. She buried her face into his chest and cried her eyes out, mourning the loss of Finn. After the ceremony, Clarke and the others were invited to a feast to celebrate their alliance, but they could feel the tension from all the other Grounders. Lexa may have wanted the alliance but not everyone felt the same as her. Everyone took their seats as Kane unwrapped a gift.
"Please accept this gift, Commander. We drink this at special occasions. I believe this qualifies." Kane said as he held out a jug of liquor. She nodded to Gustus who took it and handed it to her.
"Thank you, Marcus of the Sky People." Lexa replied.
"You're welcome, Lexa. Kom Trikru. Just uh, don't drink too much of it." Kane suggested.
"Clarke, let us drink together." Lexa told her.
"It would be my pleasure." Clarke replied as a servant handed Gustus two glasses. He fiddled with one and Naruto could have sworn he saw something when Lexa poured some of the liquor in. Lexa handed one to Clarke as Gustus did his job and took the first sip. He then handed the glass back to Lexa.
"Tonight, we celebrate our new-found peace. Tomorrow, we plan for war. To those we've lost. And to those we shall soon find." Lexa announced when Gustus bent over and collapsed on the table. He began shaking and fell backwards, foam coming from his mouth like he had been poisoned.
"It was the Sky People!" Indra took out her sword as did her men while Naruto got in front of the others to protect them.
"This wasn't us, you have to believe me!" Clarke pleased as Lexa had Nyko take Gustus away. The guards then searched everyone. "No, we didn't do this!"
"Gustus warned me about you but I didn't listen." Lexa stated.
"Lexa, please." Clarke begged.
"Tell me something, Clarke. When you plunged the knife into the heart of the boy you loved did you not wish that it was mine?" Lexa wondered.
A guard then found a small vial of some kind of powder on Raven. "That's not mine. I'm telling you that's not mine. He put it here when he searched me."
"No Sky Person leaves this Room!" Lexa ordered before leaving with her guards. Lincoln tried to speak to Indra, but she wouldn't hear it.
Everyone was stuck in the dining room with no idea what was gonna happen but it wasn't going to be good. Naruto thought over everything that happened and something didn't seem right. He began replaying the scenario in his head with his super brain going to work on finding a solution.
"Raven, I need to know the truth." Clarke said to her.
"I'd step back if I was you." Raven warned her.
"You wanted me to kill Lexa yesterday. If you tried to poison her, I need to know." Clarke said only to get punched in the face by Raven.
"You're the only murderer here."
"Raven, stop." Naruto got between the two of them to prevent a fight when he noticed Clarke looking into the corner.
"Leave me alone." She said as everyone looked to see no one. "You gave me no choice. Why did you turn yourself in?"
"Clarke, he's not there." Naruto got in front of her. "Clarke, look at me. Look at me. He's not there. Ok, Finn is dead. He made his choice. What you're seeing is your guilt playing tricks on you. None of it is real."
Clarke listened to him but kept seeing Finn in the corner of her eyes. "Clarke, look at me. Stay focused on me!" Naruto told her.
"I can see him." Clarke muttered as she began to break down crying.
"I know. I know how you feel. Like the pain of what you did won't go away. Like you'll be haunted with this forever. The pain will fade. Don't focus on what you did. We've all done things we regret. I should know. I've gone through what you're going through. Tearing yourself apart over what you did isn't going to solve anything. All that will do is destroy you inside." Naruto told her. "Make peace with what you did. Nothing will undo the decision you've made. You did what you thought you had to do. This guilt is only a sign that you understand what you did wasn't easy or to be taken lightly. You're not a monster."
Clarke broke down crying and buried her face into Naruto's chest as he did his best to comfort her. "Make peace with what you did. It's how we move forward." He whispered.
That's when he noticed a cup on the floor. the same cup Gustus handled before Lexa poured the drinks. Naruto broke away from the hug and let Abby comfort her daughter while and he walked over and picked it up. Giving it a quick sniff, he detected the faint hint of rotten eggs mixed with the liquor. The smell of hydrogen sulfide poison. "Hydrogen sulfide poison but if it was mixed with the liquor, there wouldn't be a smell." Naruto muttered to himself, starting to piece together what happened.
That's when the gates opened and Nyko, Indra, and some guards walked in. "How's Gustus?" Lincoln asked.
"He'll live." Nyko told him.
"Take her away." Indra ordered her two guards who walked over to Raven.
"Wait, what are you doing?" Kane asked.
"She didn't poison anyone!" Bellamy shouted.
"I argued for all of you to die. But the Commander is merciful. She wants only one." Indra said.
"She's innocent." Lincoln said.
"I don't care. They move they bleed." Indra said as the two guards went to grab Raven, but Naruto got in their way. He kicked one of them in the groin, elbowed the other in the face, knocked out the first one with right cross before throwing out 10 speed punches to the other guard's stomach and kicked him away. Indra drew her sword, but Naruto vanished in a blur and appeared behind her with her knife at her throat. Lincoln, Nyko, and Indra were frozen in shock as they just saw him vanish and then reappear in the blink of an eye.
"It's impossible." Indra muttered only for Naruto to keep her knife at her throat and take her sword.
"That word means nothing to me. And Raven is innocent. I know who tried to kill the Commander. Take me to her. Now." Naruto ordered, cutting her skin a bit to show he was serious. "Nyko."
Nyko led the way and opened the gate. Naruto held Indra at knifepoint and followed. "Naruto, what are you doing?" Octavia asked.
"I know who tried to kill her. Come with me, you'll want to see this." Naruto said as they followed him. They walked out of the building when Lexa, Gustus and everyone saw Indra being held at knifepoint.
"Lexa, we didn't try to kill you." Naruto told her, pushing Indra away and throwing her knife into the ground.
"Kill them all!" Gustus shouted as his men drew their weapons. Naruto's eyes flickered with lightning before he vanished in a puff of air and spark of lightning. He super sped around the area in the blink of an eye and when he was done they were all disarmed and all their weapons were tossed into a pile.
"That's impossible." Lexa looked at Naruto in disbelief as did the others.
"I didn't come to fight, but to prove our innocence. One of your people tried to kill you, Lexa. Not Clarke's. And I can prove it. Nyko, the bottle." Naruto said so Nyko handed him the bottle of liquor. Naruto then uncorked it and took a long sip. When he finished, everyone waited a few moments, but he was fine.
"Explain." Lexa demanded.
"The poison wasn't in the bottle, it was in this cup." Naruto said holding up the cup Gustus handled before he collapsed.
"It's a trick, Commander." Gustus told her. "Don't be fooled."
"The same cup Gustus handled before he gave it to you. The one he drank from. He tested the cup and he searched Raven, so he could plant the poison." Naruto explained.
"Gustus would never harm me." Lexa pointed out when Bellamy realized what his goal was.
"You were never the target. The alliance was." Bellamy added.
"If he's not the one, then by all means, drink from the cup Gustus."
Naruto held out the cup so he could prove it and all anyone saw was his nervous look. Lexa then turned to him. "Gustus, you have been accused. Speak true."
"This alliance would cost you your life, Heda. I could not let that happen." He answered.
"This treachery will cost you yours. Put him on the tree." Lexa ordered and the guards took him away. He was put on the tree and tied in place for his punishment. Gustus was stabbed by everyone who was wronged in the village and the people who would have stabbed Raven. Raven looked in horror at what was happening.
"This would have been Finn." Raven muttered before looking at Clarke, realizing she did what she did out of love.
Lexa then stood forward, took her sword, and ended his life with a single stab to the heart. After Gustus was buried, night had descended as everyone sat down by the fires to keep warm. "How did you know it was Gustus?" Lincoln wondered.
"I saw him fiddle with something when he took the cup. There was also a smell of poison in the cup but if it were in the liquor, there wouldn't be one. It took me a second to put it all together." Naruto answered. "Where I come from, I used to solve crimes like this for a living. And knowing what would have happened to Finn, I couldn't let that happen to Raven."
"Guys!" Raven came over with her radio and began playing a message from Jasper on repeat that came in over the Ark channel. He and the others were still alive.
"We've got to do this now. We have the alliance, let's use it." Bellamy said.
"First we need an inside man. You were right. Without someone on the inside to lower their defenses, turn off the acid fog, an army is useless. You should go." Clarke said to Bellamy.
"I thought you hated that plan." Bellamy reminded her.
"I was being weak. It's worth the risk." Clarke told her and she she handed him a copy of the blueprints of Mount Weather she drew after Naruto showed her. "Here. Find a way to get on that radio and talk to us."
"I can do better." Naruto reached into his pack and pulled out a small case. He opened it to reveal a small earpiece. He synched it to Gideon and to the Mount Weather encryption signal. "It's an earpiece. It'll let us stay in contact when you're in there. But make sure you put it deep in your ear, so they can't see it. Just tap it once to turn it on, tap it again for off."
"Right." Bellamy put it in as deep as he could get it. If they searched him, he couldn't let them see it.
"Bellamy, how are you going to get in?" Octavia asked.
"I can get you through the tunnels." Lincoln offered. Knowing it was dangerous, everyone decided to give Lincoln and Octavia a moment. Naruto showed Bellamy what he would expect to find and what to look for to disable an acid fog device. With their alliance in place, they were now going to begin plans for their attack on Mount Weather.

Kane, Octavia, Abby, and Raven went back to Ark Station with Indra and a group of warriors to get ready while Clarke stayed in TonDC to act as liaison and work out a battle plan. Naruto stuck with her to make sure she was safe.
"This argument is a waste of time. It is simple. If they cannot breathe our air, why not just open the door and be done with it? Let them burn." Quint suggested and everyone agreed.
"No, because they have a containment system. Multiple airlocks just like we had on the Ark. Our inside man can shut that down." Clarke said.
"If he gets inside." Quint pointed out.
"Plus, there are their defenses you'd have to worry about." Naruto pointed to their main gate on a map. "They have gun turrets at the main gate and they'd cut you all down before you could get close. The emergency entrance on the hill has the same as well. You'd never get close."
"What if we shut it down from the outside? You say the dam gives them power. Let's take it away." Lexa suggested.
'That dam withstood a nuclear war, Commander. I doubt we can bring it down." Clarke told her.
"But I might be able to do better." Naruto suggested as Clarke and Lexa looked at him. "If I can get into the dam control room, I can shut it off. That would leave them with only reserve power."
"What would that do?" Lexa asked.
"With reserve power, they'd have to prioritize which sections they keep active. Air supply or defenses. If we take the dam out of the equation, then they might lower their outer defenses." Naruto suggested only for Quint to slam his fists into the table.
"ARGH! All they offer is ifs and nos.".
"Quint." Lexa ordered him to stand down.
"Apologizes Commander. But the biggest army we've ever had waits for us to give it a mission. The longer that takes, the more of our people die inside that mountain." Quint told her.
"It's the same for all of us." Clarke said.
"We've lost thousands. How many have you lost, girl?" Quint asked. "She says she has a plan. I say waiting for one man to get inside is not a very good one."
"I agree with Quint." Another Grounder leader said. "We have an army, let's use it."
"And do what? March up there and get cut down by the acid fog or blown to hell by their gun turrets. That's not a plan, that's a suicide mission." Naruto told him.
"Is the Triskata man afraid of death?" Quint asked.
"I'm not afraid of anything. But I'm not stupid enough to go in there without a plan. If you all march up there now, that acid fog will cut you down before you can get close. They control it and they used it against us when we tried to blow up their radio tower. They'll see you coming from miles away and all of you will die, including the Commander." Naruto told them. "I understand getting your people back, but you'll also want to stay alive for your family and loved ones. We work out a solid plan before we go in."
"Naruto's right. We wait for Bellamy. If you can't get to your enemy, you can't win." Clarke explained.
"You are the enemy." Quint said in anger.
"I'm sorry, have I done something to offend you?" Clarke asked as Quint walked up to her, but Naruto got in front of Clarke.
"Yes. You burned my brother alive in a ring of fire." Quint told her.
"He shouldn't have attacked my ship." Clarke said.
"You're very brave under the Commander's protection, aren't you?" Quint asked.
"Back off or get put down." Naruto warned him.
"Enough." Lexa ordered.
"I can't be in an alliance with these people." Quint said as he walked back to his seat.
"Quint's right. Waiting for Bellamy isn't a plan, it's a prayer. Once that's likely not to be answered." Lexa told her.
"Then we go for the dam first." Naruto said, pointing at the dam on the map.
"Excuse me, I need some air." Clarke said before walking out of the building. Naruto and Major Byrne followed her to keep her safe.
Clarke took a walk through the woods to clear her head when she heard footsteps behind her. She turned and saw it was Naruto. "Naruto, I'd like to be alone now."
"I respect that but I'm trying to keep you safe. After what Quint said, I think it's best if I keep a close eye on you." Naruto said when he picked up the distinct sounds of rustling leaves. He turned and saw Quint standing there in the woods with a bow and quiver.
"Clarke, keep moving." Naruto told her and they kept moving.
"Not so brave now, are you sky girl?" Quint shouted, following them as they traversed through the woods. Clarke and Naruto picked up their walking speed a bit and when they looked back Quint was gone. That's when Naruto heard the familiar twang of a bow string. An arrow hit the tree next to them and they followed its flight path to see Gustus fire another one but Naruto caught it with his bare hand.
"Clarke, stay here." Naruto told her and she quickly hid behind a tree.
Quint fired another arrow only for Naruto duck his head with ease. Quint fired another but Naruto side stepped it before running at him. Quint then unsheathed his sword and swung at Naruto, but he ducked and dodged. He grabbed Quint's arm as he tried to swing down and cleave Naruto in two. He twisted Quint's arm and threw him over his shoulder but he got back to his feet and swung at Naruto. Naruto kept ducking and dodging the sword but Quint charged him. Naruto ran up and flipped off a tree as Quint swung his sword but it ended up getting stuck in the bark. Naruto then punched him in the side and kicked him back when a knife hit him in the leg.
Lexa and her guard then came out of the woods as she unsheathed her sword. "Thanks." Naruto said. "Clarke, it's safe now!"
Clarke came down and saw Lexa and her guard appear. Lexa took her knife out of Quint's leg. "You attack them, you attack me." Lexa told him. "Where is your guard, Clarke?"
"I don't know." Clarke when they heard footsteps and saw Byrne walked up with her left arm torn off. "Oh my god."
"Run." Byrne said before collapsing onto the ground.
[ROAR] They heard an earth-shattering roar in the woods and the sound of trees falling down in the distance.
"What the hell was that?" Naruto asked.
"Pauna." Lexa muttered before slicing Quint in the other leg. "Run!"
They ran away as fast as they could with the creature hot on their trail after it killed Quint. "We need to hide!" Lexa told them when Clarke saw a tunnel.
"This way, I found something!" Clarke said as she moved the grate cover and they quickly moved through the tunnel and came out into some kind of man-made rocky terrain area littered with bones and dead animals. "What the hell is this place?"
"It's her feeding ground." Lexa muttered when they heard another roar that was much closer.
"Clarke, go up!" Naruto shouted as they climbed up the rocks and heard whatever it was getting closer. Lexa and her guard had their swords out with Clarke aiming her gun and Naruto had his gauntlets ready.
A giant gorilla then jumped through the air and landed on Lexa's guard and began beating him to death. "I hate monkeys." Naruto muttered before looking at Clarke and Lexa. "Clarke, take Lexa and go!"
Naruto then moved to the edge of the gorilla's feeding ground, near the woods. "Naruto, what are you doing?!" Clarke shouted only for him to fire an energy beam at the large monkey. The beam knocked the gorilla back but once it saw Naruto, he could tell all he did was piss it off.
"Gorilla Grodd! Follow me! Come on, Japanese treat for you! They say Japanese candy is the best!" Naruto taunted, running into the woods with the gorilla chasing after him.
Lexa turned to run but Clarke didn't move. "Clarke, let's go!"
"I'm not leaving him." Clarke climbed down and followed the gorilla with Lexa reluctantly following her. Naruto ran through the forest with the gorilla right behind him.
"Come on, monkey boy! I'm right here!" Naruto shouted, running slightly faster than normal to make sure it was still able to see him. The gorilla jumped from tree to tree before swinging from a branch to land on Naruto like it did the guard.
The second it was close enough Naruto super sped out of the way and began running around the gorilla to confuse it. All the gorilla could see was a blur and the lightning trail as it swung its arms around to try and hit whatever it saw, but Naruto was able to duck and dodge with ease. He then threw out speed punches all over the gorilla and then threw out an accelerated mass punch to the Gorilla's side which sent it flying through the air and crashed into the ground.
Naruto slid to a stop and took a deep breath when he saw the gorilla get back to its feet. He heard footsteps behind him and saw Clarke and Lexa run up to him. "Clarke, I said to run."
"I'm not leaving you alone." Clarke replied when the gorilla got back up and roared before beating its chest. Clarke fired her gun at the gorilla causing it to stagger but none of the shots were lethal. The Gorilla then charged forward so Naruto ran around in a circle to pick up speed and then charged at it. He jumped and threw out a Mach punch, managing to hit the gorilla in the face and created a shockwave that knocked Clarke and Lexa on their butts. The impact of the punch make a distinct crack of bone as it killed the gorilla and sent it flying away into the woods. Naruto slid to a stop before bending forward to catch his breath. Running on low fumes with a limited food supply was not fun. It was like fighting with one hand behind his back. Clarke and Lexa got up and ran over to make sure he was ok.
"I hate monkeys." Naruto muttered, trying to catch his breath when Clarke blindsided him with a hug.
"No one's every killed a Pauna." Lexa stared at Naruto in disbelief only for him to shrug.
"It's not the first time I've fought a gorilla. Doesn't mean I like it. I'm just glad you two are all right."
"Thank you, Naruto." Lexa told him.
"I'm just wondering what other animals got out of their cages around here." Naruto muttered. Hearing that make Clarke pause.
"Say that again." Clarke said.
"I'm wondering what other animals got out of their cages." Naruto repeated, confused as to why Clarke wanted him to say it twice.
"I think I know how to take Mount Weather. We've been trying to get inside, but they've already let us in."
"What are you talking about?" Lexa asked.
"Your army is already there. Locked in cages. We just need someone on the inside to let them out." Clarke suggested.
"Bellamy." Lexa stated. "You have faith in him?"
"I do." Clarke replied.
"I hope your faith in him is well placed. Because if he can't get inside, we can't win." Lexa pointed out.
"He will. We have a backup to our backup plans." Clarke said, taking Naruto's line earning a chuckle from the metahuman. Lexa then took out some rope and gave it to Naruto.
"You killed the Pauna, you should be the one to take it back to camp." Lexa said only for Naruto to look at her.
"Sounds like you're just having me do the heavy lifting." Naruto commented as he he tied the rope around the gorilla's leg to drag it.
"That is also true." Lexa said as Naruto began dragging the gorilla when his watch beeped.
"Bellamy?" Naruto answered.
"It's me, Naruto. I'm in." He said. Clarke and Lexa were happy to hear he got in. "They've taken me to the harvest chamber."
"Oh god." Clarke muttered.
"I'm fine. I had help." Bellamy assured them.
"Help from who?" Clarke asked.
"Maya. She knows Jasper, she's been helping him. If not for her I'd be dead. I have one of their uniforms, so I'll be able to move around." Bellamy told them.
"Good. Ok, Bellamy, listen. Find Jasper and the others but you also need to find a way to disable the Acid Fog." Clarke told him.
"Once that's down, I'll get some backup?" Bellamy wondered.
"That's the plan. And see if you can find anything about the dam as well." Naruto told him.
"Sure thing, anything else? Maybe their dinner schedule?" Bellamy asked.
"If you can figure that out, that'd be great, but you also need to figure out a way to free the Grounder Prisoners. We have an entire army in there so let's use it." Clarke told him.
"Trojan horse. I like it. All right, I'll keep you guys updated."
"And Bellamy? You came through. I knew you would." Clarke said to him.
"The only thing I've managed is to not get killed. Keep that praise for when this is over." Bellamy ended the call after that.
"It seems your faith was well placed." Lexa said.
"Now we can move forward." Naruto added.

After informing the other Grounder leaders that Bellamy made it in, Lexa began to organize the army and got them ready to move on a moment's notice. Naruto, Clarke, her guard detail, and some Grounders guards Lexa assigned were on their way back to the Ark Station to inform Kane and get everyone ready to move. They were on horses which was a little weird for Naruto, so he decided to run instead when they stopped to give their horses some rest.
Naruto uncorked his canteen and took a long drink before eating some meat and energy bars. "Naruto, we should keep moving." Clarke told him.
"The horses need water and so do I. I'm no good on an empty stomach." Naruto said as Clarke nodded. "Hey, Clarke. We're almost there. Don't worry."
She smiled and got back on her horse when Naruto's watch picked up the faint flicker of heat up on the ridge and they weren't Octavia, Indra, or the others. Naruto put on his goggles and went through various vision modes and his x-ray mode saw two men in hazmat suits on the nearby ridge. One with a sniper rifle and the other was a spotter and they were looking at Clarke. "Mountain Men." Naruto activated his gauntlets and fired a beam at the ridge, kicking up a lot of dirt and dust. "Mountain Men snipers! Get Clarke out of here!"
Clarke and the group quickly galloped away as Naruto ran up to the ridge and saw the two men in hazmat suits. One fired a bullet at Naruto, but he caught the bullet in his hand. He then blasted the man with the sniper and knocked his mask off, making his skin bubble up before he succumbed to radiation poisoning. The other turned to run only for Octavia to block his path.
Indra and a warrior stepped out of the woods to assist but she had them lower their weapons. "No, her kill!" Indra said as Octavia held her own in a fight and managed to slice his suit. The man panicked allowing Octavia to kick out his left foot and held her sword to his throat. "Finish it!"
"Octavia, no! He's from Mount Weather, we need to keep him alive. Check to see if he's got a patch kit. We've got to get him back to camp." Clarke said so Octavia pushed him to the ground. Naruto managed to find something to patch his suit while Octavia checked the other body and found some photos. "What is that?"
"Clarke, you and Lexa were the targets." Octavia said, handing her photos that were of her and Lexa.
"We need to warn the Commander." Indra said as she then turned to her scout. "Send our fastest warriors to TonDC. Now!"
The scout nodded and quickly rode away. "Let's get back!" Clarke shouted as they took the Mount Weather man and they went back to the station.
They got back to camp and Naruto dragged the Mount Weather man into the infirmary. "This guy's from Mount Weather, we need to keep him alive. There was a tear in his suit, but we fixed it in the field." Clarke said as Jackson tried to take off his mask, but she stopped him. "No, don't take that off. It's the only thing keeping him alive."
"How can we treat him if we can't touch him?" Abby asked.
"I can work out some scrubbers in the airlock. Give me 20 minutes." Raven said, leaving to get to work.
"So, what will you do with him?" Indra asked, looking down at the man in anger.
"We get him to tell us everything he knows." Naruto said.
"Let me make him talk." Indra unsheathed her sword, ready to make him bleed to talk.
"No, we're not torturing him." Clarke told her.
"Clarke's right. He might just talk because we saved his life." Abby pointed out.
"And if he doesn't tell us anything, then we make him." Naruto finished with them leaving so Abby and Jackson could work. Once Raven worked out the scrubbers, they put him in the airlock and took him out of the suit, so Abby could look at his wounds. Once he was awake, Naruto and Clarke watched as Kane tried to get him to talk but he wouldn't say anything, just kept repeating his name and title. Something military soldiers would do when they're taken captive.
Kane kept trying but he got nothing. "He's not gonna talk." Clarke said.
"He will if we open the door." Kane suggested only for Abby to turn off the microphone.
"We are not doing that." Abby told him.
"We need to know what he knows. Vulnerabilities. Troop numbers."
"She's right it won't work." Clarke told him.
"Clarke, this could save your friends." Kane pointed out.
"I'm the Chancellor." Abby told him.
"Then act like one!" Kane shouted. "I told you I would support you as long as I believe you were doing the right thing."
"I am. And if you disagree convene a vote and take my place." Abby said.
"I don't give a damn about the title. I just want to save our people." Kane told her.
"So, do I." Abby said.
"That's enough you two." Naruto shouted, getting them to stop. "He's military trained. They won't give up anything, even if tortured. I know people like him. If you want to torture him for information, you might as well kill him because it won't do you any good."
After locking up the man now known as Emmerson, they waited for Bellamy to make contact again but nothing so far. Naruto was in Raven's lab looking over the blueprints in the hope of figuring out which section controlled the Acid Fog. Once that was taken out, Naruto could super speed into Mount Weather to help Bellamy. Naruto took a sip of water before looking over at Raven who was working on something.
"Raven, you ok?" Naruto wondered and she looked at him.
"Not really." She muttered. He walked over and pat her shoulder as she reached up and held his hand.
"I'm sorry, Raven. I should have done something." Naruto said as Raven looked up with a pained smile.
"It's not your fault. Besides, you saved me back in the village. I owe you for that. I owe you a lot."
"It's no problem." Naruto replied when Clarke and Octavia walked in.
"Any word from Bellamy?" Clarke asked but got a headshake no.
"Nothing yet."
"Lincoln's still missing too. He should be back by now." Octavia pointed out.
"They'll be ok." Clarke told her.
"They better be. Your whole plan rests on Bellamy not getting discovered." Raven stated.
"He'll be fine." Clarke said as they heard the PA go off.
"Council Kane and Clarke Griffin please report to the South air lock immediately."
"Now what?" Naruto asked as he followed Clarke to the air lock.
"Did he talk yet?" Kane asked.
"No. But his blood did. Jackson found genetic marker anomalies that can only come from someone born on the Ark." Abby explained.
"It's started." Clarke said.
"It didn't come from the blood transfusion?" Kane asked.
"No. I took the sample before that." Abby said.
"They're bleeding my friends." Clarke said.
"We don't know that." Kane told her.
"Yes, we do. We were genetically engineered. They weren't." Clarke said as she walked over to the airlock switch when Kane stopped her.
"What are you doing?" Kane asked.
"Killing him." Clarke said but Kane stopped her. "Get out of my way, Kane."
"Calm down." Kane told her.
"Clarke. You're not in charge here. We do things my way." Abby told her so Clarke just left and Naruto followed her.
"Don't worry. We're getting your friends out of there." Naruto promised.
"How, Naruto?" Clarke asked.
"As soon as Bellamy calls him, I'm telling him to prioritize taking down that fog. Once that's down, I'm going in there with him." Naruto said as they walked back into Raven's lab.
"What do you mean you're going in there?" Raven asked.
"If Bellamy can take down the acid fog, I'm going in there and getting your friends out." Naruto told them.
"Can you do that?" Octavia asked.
"If that fog is taken down, I can speed in through a door and make sure you friends are safe. What happens after is up to them." Naruto said when his watched beeped. "Bellamy, that you?"
"It's me. I'm safe but that's it for the good news, something's changed. Jasper, Monty, everyone is locked in the dorm."
"But they're alive? All of them?" Clarke asked.
"I think so. For now. Maya says they're already using their blood. Things will get ugly in here real fast. And guys, there are kids in here. We need a plan that doesn't kill everyone."
Naruto thought about what to do when he got a new idea. "Bellamy, I think I have an idea, it'll just take some time on my end. But it if works, it might end this sooner than we originally planned."
"Sounds good, but guys I'm gonna need you to buy me some time. It won't be long before they realize I don't belong here and if that happens—" "That can't happen." Clarke said. "I'll come up with something."
"Come up with it quick."
"Stay safe, Bellamy. We'll be in contact later." Naruto told him.
"Right." Bellamy hung up after that.
Naruto managed to set Raven's radio to the same frequency Bellamy was using so they didn't need Naruto to talk to him. If something came up, Raven would be able to talk to him. "What's the plan?" Octavia wondered. Naruto shrugged his shoulders when he looked at the broken air scrubbers Raven disassembled to fix the ones used to keep Emmerson in his airlock. That gave him a new idea.
"I think I got one. Give me an hour." Naruto said, getting to work at his station.
An hour later, Clarke, Octavia, and Naruto headed to the airlock to free Emmerson. Indra and bunch of the Grounders joined them as they walked up to the airlock. The guards tried to stop them, but Naruto moved them aside so Clarke to talk to Emmerson face to face "Get dressed. You're coming with me."
Clarke and her group escorted Emmerson out of the station and into the courtyard. Their arrival was noticed by everyone including Kane and Abby. They and the guards quickly intercepted them.
"Clarke, stop." Abby told her.
"No. I'm letting the prisoner go." Clarke said.
"Absolutely not." Abby replied.
"He hasn't told us anything yet." Kane reminded Clarke.
"He doesn't have to. He's gonna tell them something." Clarke said.
"Get the prisoner back to the air lock. Now." Abby ordered as her guards moved forward but Naruto and the grounders stepped forward for a little standoff.
"You may be the Chancellor, but I'm in charge." Clarke told her mother.
"Indra, tell your people to stand down before this gets out of hand." Abby said.
"No." Indra replied.
"Naruto, get Emmerson back to his cell." Abby pleaded.
"Sorry, Abby. But I'm with Clarke on this one." Naruto told her.
"People could get hurt." Abby said to Clarke.
"Not if you get out of my way." Clarke told her. "You need to trust that I know what's right for us."
Abby didn't budge when Kane spoke to her. "The Grounders trust Clarke. Maybe we should too." Kane told her. Abby eventually relented and told her men to stand down so Clarke and her group moved forward.
"Open the gate, now!" Clarke said as the guards did. The Grounders then moved Emmerson in front of Clarke. "Can you hear me all right? Because I need to make sure you get this."
"Loud and clear." Emmerson told her.
"I have a message for your leader. We're coming for him. You're watching us, but you haven't seen a thing. The Grounder army is bigger than you think. And even if you could find it, your acid fog couldn't hurt them. And now thanks to you…" Clarke held up a device that let out a high-pitched sound Emmerson had on him. "…neither can the Reapers. So, you have one last chance. Let our people go and we'll let you live. It's just that simple."
"I got it." Emmerson replied. Clarke then grabbed his oxygen tank nozzle.
"It's an eight hour walk back to Mount Weather." Clarke opened the valve and let out some oxygen. "You're gonna do it in six."
"Six hours. That's not enough. How am I supposed to deliver your message?" Emmerson asked.
"That's your problem. Now go." Clarke told him and Emmerson ran away as fast as he could.
"Clarke. Do you wanna explain to me how this helps my brother?" Octavia asked.
"I just told them we have a secret army to worry about. The more they're looking at us, the less they're looking at him. Plus, Naruto left a little going away present in Emmerson's oxygen tank." Clarke said.
"I put a special dart in his oxygen tank. Not only will it track him, but it's also a trojan horse variant virus. When it gets close to any kind of computer or piece of machinery with a circuit board, it instantly begins hacking into any nearby system. With enough time, I'll be able to cripple their system from here. Like I said before, I always have a backup to my backups." Naruto explained and hearing that helped alleviate any worries. Naruto was really smart and cautious.

After letting Emmerson go, Naruto watched over the tracker and saw he was heading to Mount Weather. He was in Raven's lab and she was working on some things for Clarke and waiting for Bellamy to make contact again. Last time they spoke, he said he and Maya were going to try and get some extra blue prints. Naruto watched the tracker and it arrived at Mount Weather. That's when his virus began to enter its system.
"Perfect." Naruto sat down at a computer terminal and got to work. The virus was mapping out small portions of their system at a time, but he'd have to wait an hour until he could access a large portion of it.
"How long until you can access their systems?" Raven asked as she watched him work.
"About an hour. I know it's long, but any quicker and their system would be able to detect my virus." He answered, seeing some of the files pile up when Clarke walked in with a Grounder guard.
"Has he checked in yet?" Clarke asked.
"No." Raven said when she saw her guard. "Worried someone's gonna take a shot at you inside the Ark?"
Clarke then turned to her guard. "Wait outside, rider." Clarke told him and he left. "Lexa's orders."
"Whatever, Clarke." Raven said as she looked over the blueprints.
"He's late, what if something happened to him?" Clarke wondered.
"He'll be fine." Raven told her as Clarke looked at Raven's work.
"You've been busy. Why are you focused on the dam? I told you acid fog was our priority." Clarke told her.
"Until Bellamy gets eyes on their dispersal system there's only so much I can do." Raven reminded her.
"Fine. Tell me about the dam. Can we cut off their power?" Clarke wondered.
"Probably. Naruto and I are still tinkering with a few things." Raven replied as Clarke picked up the anti-Reaper device.
"How many of these have you made?"
"About ten so far." Raven said.
"Only ten? That's not enough. There will be Reapers everywhere." Clarke told her.
"High-frequency tone generators don't grow on trees, Clarke. Wick is scrounging for parts. And you're lucky that Naruto and I managed to make 10." Raven told her but Clarke was beyond worried and stressed.
"Raven, I'm about to leave for TonDC where Lexa and the heads of all 12 Grounder Clans are waiting for me to tell them we're a go. Only, we're not a go because they still have acid fog and we only have 10 tone generators."
"Clarke, calm down. We'll be ready, don't worry. My virus is already mapping their system as we speak. In an hour, I'll have enough to remote disable some of their systems, so I can go help Bellamy. Inside, I can disable the acid fog and help your friends. Don't worry, we'll be ready." Naruto reassured her when Raven's radio went off.
"Work station, is anyone there? Hello? Is anybody there?" Bellamy called out as Raven picked up the radio.
"Bellamy, you're late. Every three hours means every three hours." Clarke told him.
"Are you through? I got a little held up."
"Have you found the source of the acid fog?" Clarke asked.
"No, that's gonna have to wait."
"What? No. Nothing is more important than that." Clarke told him.
"Our friends are. They've started taking them from the dorm one at a time, every few hours."
"Taking them where?" Raven asked.
"I don't know. We tried to follow them, but they went to a classified level on the blue prints. We couldn't get in. Maya borrowed schematics of the vent system from her boss and we're still trying to find a way in. Anything?"
"I think I found a path but it's gonna be tight." Maya told him.
"Bellamy, you need to find them. If my hunch is right, they've most likely started the bone marrow transplant." Naruto told him, making all of them worried. "Look, make your way down there but I need you to do something."
"What?" ]
"I need you to cause a distraction there. I managed to get a virus into their system and it'll allow me to get some control over what Mount Weather can do." Naruto told him.
"How did you manage that?" Maya asked.
"It's a long story. But it should allow me to deactivate the acid fog long enough for me to come help you. The problem is, my virus needs at least an hour to infect enough of their system before that can happen. You need to buy me some time."
"How the hell do I do that?" Bellamy asked. Naruto looked at Clarke and Raven who shrugged their shoulders.
"I'm not sure. Pull a fire alarm, cause an accident. Anything that will slow them down for at least an hour." Naruto told him.
"All right. I'll see what I can do. I'm going to see where they're taking the others."
"All right, Bellamy. Stay on the line." Clarke told him. "I'll be right back."
"I thought you were going to TonDC?" Raven asked as Clarke left.
"Guess she's not anymore." Naruto said. He and Raven were with Bellamy over the radio as he managed to find a vent pathway that would lead to the secret room their friends were being taken. He got a little lost in the vents but eventually found his way when Clarke returned. She, Raven, and Naruto heard the sound of an electric drill and some incoherent chatter. Bellamy made his way through a vent and saw a doctor drilling into one of the 100.
"Is that a drill?" Raven asked.
"Bone Marrow extraction. I hate being right." Naruto said as they all listened.
"You ready for the last treatment you'll ever need lieutenant? You have no idea. I've waited my whole life to breathe fresh air."
"Emmerson." Clarke recognized his voice.
"Let's get back to this secret army that she claims to have. She tell you anything that might help us find it?" They heard a new voice.
"Who the hell is that?" Naruto asked.
"Don't know. Sounds like he's in charge though." Bellamy told them.
"Stop drilling please. The window for extraction after death is incredibly short. I only need a minute. No, sir, nothing about the army. She did say that she was coming for you. And that if we let her people go, she'll let our people live. Well, it's a little late for that." They all heard Emmerson and the leader speak to one another. "There's something else, sir. The man who captured me and killed my partner. He's someone to be taken seriously. He had some kind of weapon, it managed to find us in the brush and blast us with some kind of energy beam. And I could have sworn I saw him catch a bullet."
"They're talking about you." Raven said to Naruto.
"Interesting. But it doesn't matter. We'll take care of him and take care of this so called secret army. Whitman just radioed in. Apparently, there's a war council meeting happening tonight in one of their villages. The leaders are gonna be there. Sir, I feel good. Let me take a team out, support Whitman. No, he has less chance of being spotted if he's alone. Sir, Whitman's good, but he can't take out that many targets alone. Which is why we're gonna use a missile. This time we're not gonna miss."
"Did he say missile?" Naruto asked.
"Tell me you guys heard all that?" Bellamy asked.
"We did. We have to warn the others." Raven said.
"Did Kane take a radio?" Clarke asked.
"No, we haven't made new radios yet. The only ones that work is the one Naruto set up to talk to Bellamy." Raven told her.
"I can head there now and find the spotter. If he's there, he'll most likely be using a radio or missile guidance system. I can track him." Naruto stated.
"Naruto, wait. Octavia was in TonDC when I left. Is she…?" Bellamy asked.
"I'll get her out before anything happens, Bellamy. You have my word. I'll contact you when I get her." Naruto told him. "Don't worry, she'll be safe."
"Naruto, please make sure she's safe."
"I will. You have my word…and I always keep it. Just stay out of sight until I contact you again." Naruto grabbed his stuff and left.
"I'm coming with you." Clarke told him.
"Raven, keep us updated." Naruto told her and she nodded. He then picked up Clarke and super sped to TonDC.
They arrived in the middle of TonDC in a whoosh of air which made the Grounders pulled their weapons but they sheathed them when they saw it was Naruto and Clarke. "Naruto, Clarke you made it." Octavia said. "Is Bellamy all right?"
"Not right now, Octavia. Naruto, find him." Clarke told him. Naruto put on his goggles and began scanning the entire area to find anyone in military camouflage gear or any kind of radio or transponder signal. He scanned the perimeter and nearby trees until he found his target to the west.
"Got you." Naruto then vanished in the blink of an eye.
Whitman was in brush, looking down at the camp and saw their special target vanish. "Command, secondary target has vanished. Please advise?" Whitman radioed in.
"Stay put and wait for orders. The President's on his way." His radio went off.
"Roger that." Whitman said as he looked through his camera and kept watch over the camp when something blocked his view. Whitman looked up and saw Naruto standing there with his hands in his pockets.
"Hey there, anything good on the radio?" Naruto smirked before he kicked the camera away and then kicked Whitman in the face, knocking him on his back.
Whitman got back to his feet, pulled out his pistol and fired the entire clip at Naruto but nothing happened. When Whitman's pistol was empty, Naruto raised his left hand and opened his fist to reveal 12 bullets he dropped to the ground. "I think you missed." Whitman pulled out a knife and charged but Naruto threw out a speed punch to the face and knocked him out quickly. He leaned down and put the pistol in his pocket before grabbing Whitman's camera and sniper rifle. "Not bad."
Naruto put Whitman over his shoulder and super sped back to the camp and appeared next to Clarke as Octavia and Indra returned with Lexa. "Found him." Naruto said and Clarke breathed a sigh of relief.
"Clarke, Naruto, what's going on?" Lexa asked.
"The Mountain Men attempted a preemptive missile strike on all of you. This man…" Naruto unceremoniously dropped Whitman to the ground. "…was their spotter."
"We overheard Mount Weather try to wipe you all out with a missile strike. We came to stop him." Clarke added and Lexa smiled.
"My people owe you for your courage. Thank you." Lexa replied when Naruto saw Whitman wake up so he kicked him across the face, knocking him out again. He then knelt and took Whitman's radio, and everything else on him, except for his clothes.
"Figured you might want to interrogate him for yourself." Naruto said as Lexa nodded to Indra.
"Take the Mountain Man away." Indra ordered as her men dragged Whitman away.
"Kane!" Naruto tossed him the sniper rifle. "Keep it. It'd be a shame to put a good weapon to waste. And Clarke."
Naruto handed her Whitman's pistol and the extra ammo. They then heard the radio go off. "Whitman, you're camera's down. Are the targets still at the location?" They heard over the so Naruto picked it up. "Whitman, report. What's the status on the targets?"
Naruto then decided to have a little fun. "I'm sorry, the number you have reached has been disconnected. Now please take your radio and shove it where the sun doesn't shine before releasing the prisoners in Mount Weather. Thank you." Naruto said, earning a chuckle from Octavia but Clarke just shook her head in disbelief.
"Who is this? Where's Whitman?"
"Whitman is currently unavailable at the moment. I'd like to put him on but he's a little…tied up." Naruto joked only for Clarke and Octavia to groan. "What?"
He didn't hear an immediate response until he heard a different voice. "Is he dead?"
Naruto and Clarke recognized it as the man Emmerson was speaking too. "Not yet, but he most likely will be. Is this the leader of Mount Weather I'm speaking too?"
"Who's asking?"
"Your special target. I was hoping to speak to the man who's willing to murder 47 innocent kids. I've fought my fair share of evil people but right now, you certainly take first place. And I'm making you this one promise right now, the offer is still on the table. Let the 47 and the other prisoners go. If you do, no one in that mountain will be harmed and we'll work something out. If you don't, well…" Naruto noticed everyone was looking at him as he spoke to the leader of the Mountain Men. "Let's just say that the people who really hate you won't be as merciful as I am."
"And I'd feel inclined to believe that offer if I was actually threatened by you." The man told him. "But I'm not. Their sacrifice will put my people back on the ground…where they belong. And if more people must die…then so be it."
"There's one thing I can't stand in this world, and that's monsters like you. When we meet in person…you'll see you should have been worried about me the entire time. I can guarantee that." Naruto ended the transmission and handed the radio to Clarke before pressing a button on his watch. "Gideon, how much longer until the virus infects enough of their system?"
"Approximately 38 minutes."
"Keep me updated and expand the scanner to detect any kind of incoming ballistic missile. Can you hack into the missiles targeting system?" Naruto asked.
"Of course. If a missile is launched, I'll be able to remote hack and change its direction."
"Excellent." Naruto said. "Don't worry. The missile is no longer a threat."
"You've helped me people yet again, Naruto. Thank you." Lexa told him.
"You're welcome. Have your army ready to move as soon as possible. In half an hour, I'm heading into that mountain. Stay close to Clarke and I'll let you know when you can move." Naruto told her and she left to tell the others.
"You came through for us again, Naruto. Thank you." Clarke said to him.
"That's starting to become a running theme here. I'm happy to help. Quite frankly, all of you would be screwed without me here. But I've never been one to run away from a fight or friends in need. Even though we're not from the same earth."
"Well, then I guess we got lucky." Octavia told him. He then looked at Lexa talking to some of her commanders about what Naruto told her before she looked back at Clarke.
"Hmm, seems like Lexa might be opening up more to you guys than I thought. Or maybe just Clarke." Naruto suggested so Clarke punched him in the shoulder. "Hey, you could do worse than her. She seems to like you."
"How about we leave my love life to after this is over?" Clarke wondered when Naruto's watched beep.
"Naruto, I've detected the launch of a RIM-161 Standard surface to air missile."
"Hack into its GPS and have it track my watch." Naruto ordered before looking at Octavia and Clarke. "Be right back."
Naruto ran out of TonDC and to the east as the missile changed its course to follow Naruto's watch signal. He had cleared safe space from TonDC and running with the missile closing in on him. Naruto slowed down a bit and wen the missile was close enough he quickly turned around and the missile then dived to the ground. Naruto raced past it so the missile impacted the ground in a huge explosion of fire and smoke. The explosion could be heard for miles as everyone in TonDC heard the missile impact in the distance and saw the small burst of fire on the horizon.
"Naruto." Octavia and Clarke were worried if he was ok.
"Yup?" They heard behind them so they turned to see Naruto standing there. "You called?"
Octavia and Clarke hugged Naruto, glad he was ok. He smiled and hugged back. "Don't worry. I'm fine."
"So, you're fast enough to outrun a missile?" Clarke asked.
"I'm fast enough to do a lot of things. But I've gone faster than that." Naruto assured them. Naruto then tapped his watch and opened up Bellamy's communication line. "Bellamy, it's Naruto. I'm at TonDC and diverted the missile. Octavia's safe, don't worry."
"Thank god. I owe you one, Naruto."
"Is Bellamy ok?" Octavia asked.
"Bellamy, everything ok on your end?" Naruto asked him.
"So far, so good. I managed to make a friend. Apparently, there's been a coup and President Dante's a prisoner. His son Cage is in charge. We heard him speaking to Emmerson. He's isolated all of level 5 where the others are, and he's changed all the access codes to the exits. We can't get them out. But I might be able to buy them some time."
"All right, I just need another 30 minutes and I'll be able to come help you. Keep them occupied. I'll keep everyone safe out here." Naruto told him.
"Roger that." Bellamy said as he hung up.
"Raven, did you hear that?" Naruto asked.
"I did. I'll stay on the radio and help Bellamy if he needs it." Raven told him.
"All right. We're all set here." Naruto said.
"And Naruto. I'm glad you didn't get yourself blown up."
"Me too, Raven." Naruto said as he ended the transmission. "All right, let's talk to Lexa and work out a battle plan before I leave."
Naruto, Clarke, and Octavia met with Lexa and the other Grounder Leaders in the command tent to work out a plan. They had all the maps of Mount Weather and the surrounding area on the table to aid in their plan making.
"Ok, so does everyone understand?" Naruto wondered.
"Walk us through the plan once more." Lexa told him.
"Once my virus is finished uploading, it'll allow me remote access to shut down their acid fog temporarily and let him inside that mountain. Once I'm in, I'll be able to help Bellamy." Naruto told them.
"Once inside, Naruto will destroy their acid fog, so we can move closer to the Mountain. I'll be in contact with Raven and she'll send up a flare once it's done. With that down, we move into position at the main door. Naruto will take down their defense, but we need to be ready to move once he opens it." Clarke added.
"What about the dam?" Lexa asked. "Should we not destroy it?"
"We don't need to. Once I get inside, my virus can distort their electrical system if need be, but I think we'll be fine." Naruto assured them. "Don't worry. You will get your people back."
Naruto's watched then beeped. "Naruto, the virus is finished uploading. I have put their chemical dispersion system on maintenance mode for the next 2 minutes. And their emergency hatch on the mountain slope is unlocked. That is your entrance into the bunker."
"Well, this is it. Wish me luck." Naruto said as he tightened up his pack and walked out of the tent. Clarke, Octavia, Lexa, Kane, and the others walked out with him.
"Naruto…" Clarke stuttered a bit before hugging him. "Be careful."
"I will, Clarke." Naruto said as they separated. He put on ear piece in his hear before handing her the other one. "Don't worry, I'll have you in my ear the entire time."
Octavia then hugged him as well. "Look after my brother, ok?"
"Of course." He replied before looking at Lexa. "Get your people ready."
"Go with courage, Naruto." Lexa said as Naruto waved goodbye. He turned to face the mountain as his eyes flickered with lightning before he took off like a bullet in a whoosh of air.
"Please let this work." Clarke said to herself as she saw the streak of lightning vanish over the horizon. Naruto ran to Mount Weather and saw the emergency hatch on a hill. He quickly phased through the door and wound up inside the bunker. He then walked down the stairs and stuck to the wall when he stopped at a corner. He peaked his head out and saw a camera.
"Clarke, it's me. I made it in." Naruto told her.
"Good, now find Bellamy and the others. Then take down the acid fog."
"I'm on it." Naruto said as he switched to Bellamy's line. "Bellamy, can you hear me?"
"I can hear you."
"All right, I'm in. I'm at the top level, where are you?" Naruto asked.
"I'm in the ventilation system. I'm working on a plan to buy us some time. Head down to Level five and find Monty or Jasper. Use my name. That'll get them to trust you."
"Right, I'm on my way." Naruto said as he brought up the blueprints and was charting out his way to Level 5. "Gideon, can you put the cameras on a continuous loop?"
"I can, but only for about 4 minutes before their system realizes something is wrong."
"Hopefully, that'll be all I need." Naruto super sped through the halls and down the stairs to make his way to Level 5. Naruto peaked behind a corner and saw the light on the camera go out, so he walked through the halls when he heard voices.
"As soon as we're in the lab I want him prepped. We start immediately. Copy that. Transporting asset, Elevator C." He heard them and saw a bunch of guards and a doctor grab a kid, so Naruto took out a dart from his gauntlet and put it in his hand as he stepped into view.
"Hey, there. Any chance you can show me the commissary? I'm starved." Naruto quipped.
"What are you doing here? This level is restricted." The Guard told him.
"Oh, that's an easy question. I'm here for him." Naruto said pointing to Jasper. "And the other 47 you have locked up."
"Take him away and put in him lockup. President Cage will deal with him." Dr. Tsing told a guard as he walked up to Naruto.
"You're coming with me." The guard grabbed Naruto's arm and shoulder.
"Can't we get something to eat first? I get hungry after I fight and when I'm done with you, I'll be famished." Naruto punched the guard in the face, kicked out his leg and slammed him face first into the wall as another guard pulled out a pistol. "Shut your eyes!"
Naruto threw the dart on the ground and it exploded in a bright flash of light and loud bang, concussing the guards and the doctor. Naruto closed the distance and jumped off the wall, Superman punching one guard into the other two and knocking them to the ground. He picked up one of their batons and whacked two guards in the face and kicked the other one unconscious. Naruto hit the doctor in the head as she hit the ground and then he hugged the opposite wall when he heard more guards coming. They turned the corner with their guns out ss Naruto grabbed the nearest guards gun and pressed the trigger, shooting the four guards full of bullets. He kicked out the knee of the guard and threw him over his shoulder and knocked him out with a baton smack. The last guard charged him with a baton but he blocked his attack, broke his wrist, punched him in the face, kicked his leg out, threw out 5 speed punches to his stomach before kneeing him the face which knocked him out cold.
Naruto dropped the baton and saw all the guards were taken care of. A few more kids joined them, one of whom grabbed a guards gun and aimed it at him. "Whoa, easy with the gun. I'm here to help you. Bellamy sent me. Where's Jasper?" Naruto asked.
"I'm here." Jasper said. Naruto saw it was the kid he saved from the guards. "Bellamy sent you? You're from Mount Weather?"
"No, but I've been helping him. Clarke too. They've been working on a plan to get you all out." Naruto explained. "Quickly get their guns and weapons."
Monty and the others grabbed their guns as they moved out of the dorm. "Level 5 is isolated, and I put the cameras on a loop but that'll only last another minute. Bellamy said something about buying us some time." Naruto said when they heard an alarm go off.
"Containment Breach. Radiation detected." The PA system sounded.
"And I think that's it." Naruto commented. The guards Naruto knocked out began to writhe in pain as their skin started to bubble. Dr. Tsing managed to crawl into the elevator and tried to leave but Jasper stopped the doors from closing.
"No. You can't." Tsing said.
"I hope you know that you're incredibly special to us." Jasper told her as Harper, Miller, and Monty watched Tsing scream in pain and died from the radiation exposure. Not a pleasant way to die at all.
Naruto tapped his earpiece. "Bellamy, can you hear me?"
"I hear you. How's that for some time?"
"Not a bad plan. Did Raven help you with that?" Naruto asked.
"And the former president."
"Guess he really wants to stick it to his son. All right, I've got Jasper and the others. The radiation will keep the guards out for now, but I'll bunker them somewhere safe." Naruto told him.
"Roger that."
"I know a place we can bunker." Jasper told him, leading them to some kind of living room area. The kids quickly got to work on reinforcing the doors and getting weapons. Jasper grabbed a fire axe and armed the others. Monty disabled all the electronic doors and stair entrances while Fox disabled all the internal cameras in the room.
"We took the level and now we need to hold it! They will be coming! And we need to be ready! Harper, go the kitchen and fill some pots with water. The biggest you can find, ok?" Jasper ordered just as Fox destroyed the last of the internal cameras. "Nice, Fox. Now let's get those hallway cameras."
"No, we'll need those. We need eyes outside." Monty told him, holding up a makeshift tablet he pried from the wall.
"You can do that?" Jasper asked.
"Have you met me?" Monty pointed out.
"Where are we on the doors?" Jasper asked.
"Elevators are all disabled. I shorted the other stairwell locks. This one's tricky though. I can't seem too—" Monty was cut off as Jasper smashed the lock off. "That works too."
Jasper and Monty did their handshake just as the others finish up. "How long can we hold them off?" Jasper asked.
"As long as we have too." Monty said as he looked around and didn't see their mystery savior. "Where's the other guy?"
Jasper looked around and didn't see him anywhere. "I don't know." Jasper replied as they all settled down and waited. Monty watched the cameras on his tablet and saw the guards blow the elevator door off its hinges and come down the hall in radiation gear.
"We're not ready for this." Fox said to Jasper.
"Yes, we are. Just follow the plan and we'll be ok. I promise." Jasper said, reassuring her.
"No guns, you were right." Monty said showing him.
"It's because they can't kill us. Not like this anyway." Jasper said when they saw a guard get thrown down the hall. "What the hell?"
They saw more guards get thrown down the hall as Naruto came into view and fought all the guards by himself. He used their batons and expertly took them down one at a time, showing extreme proficiency in hand-to-hand combat as he fought 10 guards all on his own with no help. They saw him punch, kick, and flip off a wall as he took down the guards like he had been fighting for years.
"Whoa." Miller muttered as most of the kids had gathered to watch their mystery savior kick the living crap out of the guards. Some of the guards went back into the elevator and left while Naruto took down the last of the guards. They then saw him place something near the elevator door before walking back to the bunker. He tapped onto the door with his knuckles as Jasper walked up.
"You guys ok?" Naruto asked.
"Yeah, we're fine. Nicely done taking those guys down." Jasper told him.
"Thanks. Cage most likely saw this so now their attention will be on me. I placed a sensor and an explosive charge near the elevator door if they try again. Keep everyone safe. Bellamy and I will be back." Naruto said before leaving. "Bellamy, can you hear me?"
"Yeah.".
"Meet me on level 2 by the southeast stairwell. I saw on the blueprints that there's a service entrance nearby. It's most likely to the electrical, water, and gas stations in the bunker. If the chemical dispersion system for the Acid fog is anywhere, it'll be there." Naruto told him.
"All right, I'm on my way." Bellamy replied as Naruto super sped through the bunker to the service entrance and waited for Bellamy who soon arrived. Bellamy's keycard managed to get them through the service entrance.
After making their way down a long hallway and a set of stairs they arrived at a large maintenance area where their engineers worked on things such as electricity, water, and heat. They didn't see anyone around, so they walked through the area and Bellamy saw the restricted access doors that would lead them to the acid fog. He swiped his keycard, but the keypad blinked red and the door didn't unlock so they decided to try a different door.
"Naruto, Bellamy, come in." Raven called.
"We're here, Raven. The others are safe for now." Naruto told her.
"Good. I'm glad you haven't gotten yourselves killed yet." Raven pointed out.
"Days still young." Naruto told her.
"Did you find the source of the acid fog yet?"
"We're making out way there now." Bellamy said as he swiped his keycard at the other door, but it blinked red as well. "Something's wrong."
"What?"
"My keycard isn't working." Bellamy told her.
"I got this." Naruto said as he activated his gauntlet. He pried off the keypad cover, activated his data spike and inserted it into the electronics so Gideon could hack into the system. They waited a second and then the light turned green and the door unlocked.
"Score one to the superhero from another earth." Bellamy muttered when they heard two gun clicks and saw two guards had come out the other door.
"Freeze, don't move!" They shouted but Naruto quickly fired two tranquilizer darts and the guards hit the ground before they could fire a shot.
"Make that three." Naruto put the keypad cover back on and they walked into the acid fog room.
Naruto checked his gauntlet and the heat sensor didn't pick up any other people in the area. They walked in and saw a bunch of tanks and containers with warning labels about their danger and toxicity. They then saw a huge, long tanker with connecting tubes and valves in the center of the room.
"I think we found it." Naruto said as they walked through the room. "Raven, we're in."
"All right. Tell me what you see."
"The mixing vat where they make the fog and the chemicals they use. A lot of it." Naruto told her, following the mixing tube to a console on the far side. "I see a console."
"That's it. If that console controls the fog, we can use it to render it harmless."
Naruto activated the monitor for the console to see everything required for maintaining and using the acid fog. "There's a lot of things on here. I'm going to find something to shut it down."
"Can't we just blow it up?" Bellamy asked.
"No, we need to neutralize the acid first. If you blow it up right now, the acid fog will just filter through the bunker and you'd probably melt your face off. You know I like a good explosion, but we need to do this smart."
"Luckily, you have a super genius right next to you." Naruto told them as he looked through the options on the console.
"Well, I wouldn't be sure about that."
"On my earth, I'm both literally and figuratively a super genius. Or has my assistance to you guys gone unnoticed?" Naruto wondered.
"You two can flirt later. Can we focus on this thing?" Bellamy pointed out as Naruto got to a section that said maintenance and cleaning.
"Maintenance and cleaning." Naruto opened that section to find something to shut it down.
"Corrosion. The protective oxide film would have to be restored in tanks that old. They need to be cleaned." Raven suggested.
"With something to neutralize the acid. Hang on." Naruto opened the subdirectory and saw an option that read passivation. He opened it and PH scale show up. "Aqueous Sodium Hydroxide Bath."
"That'll be the base to neutralize the acid." Raven said so Naruto initiated the process. Tubes and pumps began to put the base formula into the chemical vat. "You should be able to hear the pumps."
"We hear them." Bellamy replied. "The PH scale is moving. It's working."
"Passivation successful." Naruto said, seeing it hit a level of 7.
"Yes!" Raven shouted as Bellamy smiled and pat Naruto on the shoulder.
"All right, Raven. Send the flare." Naruto told her.
"I'm on it." Replied.
"Now we blow this thing up." Naruto said to Bellamy. Bellamy placed an explosive dart onto the vat as Naruto did the same on the other end. Bellamy was ready to leave when he saw a PH scale on the vat and the needle hadn't moved from zero.
"Naruto!" Bellamy shouted so Naruto came over and saw the PH scale. He looked back on the console and saw that the PH scale read 7 but the other one didn't.
"It's a trap. They're controlling the monitor." Naruto said when the alarm went off.
"Naruto, we need to go." Bellamy told him only for Naruto ripped off the console's cover and used his data spike to jack into the system.
"Gideon, activate the passivation process, now!" Naruto ordered when they heard guards trying to break through the door.
"Naruto, come on!" Bellamy shouted.
"We need to neutralize the acid before we blow it up!" Naruto told him just as the guards broke through the door. Naruto fired a repulsor blast from his other gauntlet while fired his gun forcing the guards to take cover back in the hallway. Naruto heard the pumps turn back on and saw the PH scale on the vat go up.
"Naruto, let's go!" Bellamy shouted, reloading his gun as the guards fired back.
"Almost done!" Naruto told him, firing another blast so the guards took cover.
"Passivation process complete, Naruto."
"We're good!" Naruto said before grabbing Bellamy and super speeding them past the guards, knocking them all down. Once they were back on level 5, Naruto pressed a button on his gauntlet and a huge explosion shook the bunker, signaling that the acid fog was destroyed. "Whew, ok I'll admit that that was a little close even for me.
"Thank god for superpowers." Bellamy muttered Naruto looked up and they saw a camera looking at them. Naruto flipped it off before Bellamy shot it to pieces. "Let's get the others."
Naruto and Bellamy made their way back to the bunkered room to get the others. Bellamy walked up and tapped the door. "Jasper, it's me!" Bellamy announced and they heard some movement before the doors opened slightly so Naruto and Bellamy could squeeze in. "Everyone ok?"
"Yeah, the guards tried one more time to get down but a bomb by the elevator stopped them." Jasper said.
"Good, all right. We took out the acid fog. Clarke negotiated a treaty with the grounders and they're on their way with an army." Bellamy told them.
"Guess Finn finally got his peace talks." Jasper said as Bellamy hesitated for a bit.
"Something like that but we're getting you guys out of here now." Naruto told them. "Get everyone ready to move. We're leaving through the main door. Once that opens, Cage is done for."
"What about the others in the Mountain?" Jasper wondered.
"Clarke knows our mission is to rescue you and the Grounders. They won't let anything happen to the civilians." Naruto assured him. "Bellamy, head to the harvest room and start freeing the Grounders. That'll keep them distracted."
"I'm on it."
"Bellamy." Jasper tossed him a spare gun and ammo. "Be careful."
Bellamy nodded before he left "All right, let's get ready to move! We're getting out of this place." Jasper said and the others were excited. Naruto was the first out with Jasper and the others following. They were all still armed with weapons as Naruto opened up holographic schematics to find a path that would lead them to the blast-proof steel doors entrance on Level 3.
"Gideon, lock all stairwell doors on stairwell A except for Level 3."
"All stairwell doors are locked."
"All right, let's move to level three. We're leaving through the main entrance. Clarke and the army should be waiting there for us." Naruto told them Jasper and the others followed him up the stairs. "Clarke, can you hear me?"
"I can hear you. Nice job taking down the acid fog. We're moving into position outside the blast door."
"Well, tell Lexa to get her army ready. We're on our way." Naruto said as they walked up the stairs when they heard the PA system go off.
"My fellow citizens, this is your president speaking." They heard Cage speak.
"That's not good. Let's move!" Naruto said as they hurried up.
"I have new to share with you that will change all our lives forever. For 97 years, Mount Weather has been our home. It's kept us alive, but it has also held us captive. Most of us have made peace with what we've had to do to survive. We've done things for one reason. So that our people could someday return to the ground. That day is today."
"Bellamy, are you hearing this?" Naruto asked.
"I am. He's going public." Bellamy said.
"Make your way back to me, now." Naruto told him.
"Before my friend, Lorelei Tsing was murdered by the Outsiders still at large in this mountain she found a cure. It was in their bone marrow. This has been the dream of our people since the bombs. But to reach it now, I need your help. The 44 criminals that eradiated Level 5, killing 15 of our people are now keeping us from that dream. Although we've repaired our home, we can never replace the lives that were so viciously taken from us. Yet as hard as it is to believe there are those among us who would help the people who did this. And they even aided the criminals in sneaking a killer into our bunker. So, I'm speaking to you now. If you truly want to end the blood treatments once and for all, then stop those 44 murderers that are now heading to Level 3. They are the key. I'm asking you, please…do what's right for your people, our people. So, that we can all take our rightful place on the ground. We're almost home."
Naruto stopped at the door to level 3 and peaked his head out to see no one in the hallway. "Let's move." Naruto said as the others quickly followed him down the hall. They eventually arrived at the blast doors.
"You still sure your plan will work?" Monty asked.
"Definitely." Naruto replied as he turned the corner, grabbed a baton from a guard and broke his arm, punched him across the face, in the stomach and then slammed him face first into the wall and knocked him out. "Let's go."
They kept moving past the quarantine area and were nearing the large opening by the blast doors. They kept moving and arrived at the decontamination checkpoint when they the loud audible click of guns. The lights turned on and Naruto saw they were cut off by President Cage and about 7 dozen guards in front of them.
"So much for your plan." Jasper said as everyone raised their hands.
"I have to thank you. You delivered all of the 44 right here. All together in one neat little package." Cage said as Naruto heard movement behind him and saw Emmerson lead another group of guards with Bellamy at gun point. "We managed to break your little secret radio frequency. And we've had you on cameras the entire time."
"Huh, guess the best laid plans aren't perfect." Naruto commented.
"No, they aren't. But admirable attempt." Cage said but saw Naruto was laughing. "Did I say something funny?"
"Oh, no. You see, I wasn't referring to my plan…but yours." Naruto lowered his hands to his side and relaxed with a smirk on his face. "I know you hacked into my radio frequency because I let you. Same thing with the cameras. All a part of my plan to get all your guards in one spot."
"Not a very good plan." Cage pointed out.
"Maybe, but the rest of it is. You see, when Clarke let Emmerson go, he wasn't alone. In his oxygen tank was a little secret virus payload. Once it entered Mount Weather, it's been slowly mapping every single system here but in order to make sure your firewalls didn't detect it, it had to take some time. That's why Bellamy and I blew up your acid fog machine and I saved Jasper and the others. And your little speech helped as well. All to buy me some time and by now, it's finished hacking into your entire system." Naruto said with a smile on his face.
"You're bluffing." Cage stated only for Naruto to tap his watch and activate the PA system. "The PA system."
"Citizens of Mount Weather, this is Naruto Namikaze speaking." He spoke into his watch and it broadcasted throughout the mountain. "You don't know me, and I wouldn't expect any of you to either way. I allied myself with the people from the Ark and the native inhabitants with one goal in mind. To stop President Cage and his inhumane attacks and treatments of the 44 and the Grounders. Most of you are probably unaware of what he does, but if you do know, then you realize why it needs to stop."
"Stop it. This is Cage, turn off the PA system!" Cage shouted into his ear piece.
"We can't, sir. A virus has us locked out." One of his technicians told him.
"The 44 are taken away and put down like animals for their bone marrow and Dr. Tsing was a monster. The world is better off without her. This no longer needs to happen. Right now, there is an army of the Ark and Ground who are here to retrieve their people and want revenge but not against the civilians. And you can all return to the ground because willing participants can donate bone marrow. Please return to your homes or stay secure in whatever rooms you are in because when that army marches in, they will not harm you. You have my word." Naruto said as he ended his message. "Like I said before, last chance. Let them go, before this gets any worse."
Bellamy, Jasper, and the 44 smiled in delight as Naruto had them in a bind. That's when Cage took a pistol from the guard and pointed it right at Naruto's face. "Never. Our rightful home is on the ground and if I need to kill everyone single one of you, then so be it." Cage told him.
"Wrong choice because I didn't just hack the PA system…" Naruto pressed a button on his watch and an alarm went off. "I also hacked the keys to the front door."
The sounds of heavy locks moving could be heard as the steel door behind Cage opened up and him and the guards were greeted to the sight of Clarke, Lexa and the combined army of Grounders and the Ark. "Like I told you before, it should have been me you needed to worry about." Naruto's eyes flickered with lightning and he quickly took Jasper, Bellamy and the 44 out of the way, leaving Cage and the guards at the mercy of Clarke and Lexa.
Line Break xxxxx
Naruto was back at the Ark Station in the aftermath of the battle of Mount Weather. Clarke, Lexa, and the army killed Cage and all the guards, but Emmerson managed to sneak away like a rat. Jasper and the others were safe, and all the captured Grounders were released and treated. The Reapers were all captured and given the medicine Abby and Naruto made and were on the road to recovery. Lexa and the Grounders thanked the sky people for their help and with the truce in affect, they didn't have to worry about any kind of attack. The citizens of Mount Weather needed to stay in the Mountain as Abby had a group of guards there to watch over them, with the aid of Maya. Clarke, Abby, and Kane spoke to former President Dante about setting up volunteers for bone marrow treatment and how things would work moving forward. All in all, a lot more work needed to be done but things were finally settling down as families and friends were reunited and peace was a real possibility.
Naruto was in his holding cell/room, packing up his pack and making sure he had everything. He put on his jacket and pack and walked out, hoping to sneak away but saw Kane standing there in the hallway.
"Going somewhere?" Kane asked.
"Was planning on it." Naruto said as he adjusted his pack.
"Lexa is organizing a celebratory feast after the Mount Weather victory. All are invited." Kane told him.
"Well, I love a good feast and I'm a little curious to see how Grounders party…but it's about time I should get on my way." Naruto told him as they walked down the hall.
"On your way where?" Kane asked.
"To find a way home. You guys are safe enough now and your friends and family are back. My job here is done. Time for me to leave." Naruto told him.
"Are you sure you can't stay for a bit?" Kane wondered.
"I'd love too but I've been here long enough. It's time for me to move on."
"And you were planning to slip out unnoticed without saying goodbye?" Kane asked.
"I figured it was best to not intrude on everyone's little happy moment. Besides, I've never been a person for big goodbyes." Naruto said as they kept walking through the station and came out a side entrance.
"You can tell that to the others." Kane said as they looked head and saw Abby, Bellamy, Octavia, Raven and Clarke waiting there. Naruto smiled to himself as he walked up to them.
"So, guess sneaking out of here is out of the question?" Naruto joked.
"Do you have to leave now?" Octavia asked.
"Yeah, it's been great having you here when we need your help. You deserve a little break and a drink." Bellamy told him.
"And I appreciate the offer but it's your party. Besides, like I told Kane…it's about time I move on." Naruto told them. "I stayed to help you get your friends and family back and to make sure you guys were safe. I did my job. Time for me to get back to my family."
Abby walked up to Naruto first and gave him a hug. "Thank you for everything, Naruto. For finding Clarke and keeping her safe."
"Of course." Naruto said as he then shook Kane's hand.
"If you ever find yourself back here again, know that you are always welcome." Kane promised.
"Thank you." Naruto said as Bellamy walked up and they shared a hug. "Take care of yourself, Bellamy."
"You, too. It was an honor fighting beside you." Bellamy told him and got a shrug in response.
"Well, someone had to save your butt." Naruto joked, earning some chuckles. Octavia then stepped forward and hugged him.
"Thank you. For keeping Bellamy safe and saving Lincoln." Octavia said to him.
"Hope you two are happy together." Naruto said as he looked at the sword on her back. "So, honorary grounder? Guess you'll be the badass in the family, huh. Can you keep your brother out of trouble?"
"I'll do my best." Octavia replied with a smile.
Raven then stepped forward as she and Naruto hugged goodbye. "Raven, it's been an honor and a pleasure." Naruto told her.
"You saved me more times than I can count, Naruto. Thank you." She said to him as Naruto looked down at her brace.
"You don't need to thank me. And you can probably take that off now." He pointed out.
"I think I might keep it around. As a reminder of the guardian angel who saved my life." Raven replied.
"Without me here, you'll be their tech support. You up for it?" Naruto asked and got a wry grin in response.
"I think I can manage without you." Raven told him. She then grabbed Naruto's shirt, pulled him forward and kissed him. Naruto froze for a second as he felt Raven kiss him and before he could do anything, she pulled away. "Stay safe, guardian angel."
Clarke was the last one to say goodbye. "Guess this is it?" Naruto nodded before reaching into his pack and pulling out a high-tech watch to give her. "What's this?"
"In case you guys need me again. It's a multi-dimensional communicator. I call it the E.C.H.O. It'll connect you to Gideon and if you guys need me again, just call." Naruto said as Clarke looked at the watch. "Maybe wait a month, though. Hopefully by then I'll have the whole Earth jumping thing nailed down to a science."
Clarke chuckled as she hugged Naruto and he hugged back. "Thank you. For everything." She said, kissing him on the cheek.
"You're welcome, Clarke. Remember, we move forward."
Naruto hugged her one last time and kissed her head. He finally separated Clarke, Raven, Octavia, Bellamy, Kane, and Abby wiped a stray tear from their eyes.
Naruto smiled at them as he walked to the gate and the guards opened it for him. He walked away out of Camp Jaha and looked back at everyone who had gathered around to see him off. Naruto smiled as he held his out ring and his suit popped out. He quickly got changed and was standing there in his uniform. He looked back one last time at the new friends he made and did a two-finger salute as they saluted back. Naruto then super sped around in a circle, closing his eyes and concentrating to draw on the speed force. A blue portal appeared in the middle of his circle and the second he passed through it, it collapsed behind him.
"Do you think we'll ever see him again?" Raven asked as Clarke looked down at the watch.
"I have a feeling we will." Clarke said as the superhero who have saved them was on his way home…or was he?
End of Part 2
I hoped you guys liked the second chapter of Adventure through the multiverse. It's a long one, I know but honestly when I decided on this earth I honestly couldn't think of a manner that Naruto would leave unless he really helped them to the end. All of this happened in season 2 which aired in 2015 around the start of season 2 of the Flash so it wanted it to sort of line up since all the earths tend to take place within the same time line setting. For example, Season 2 of the Flash runs parallel with season 1 of Supergirl so they match up.
This chapter is the world of the Hundred, another CW drama. I figured the multiverse would have earths of the CW since the Flash is a CW show but it won't be just CW shows, I promise. And think of it as a sort of apology chapter for discontinuing the Volunteer. For my Hundred fans, I'm sorry. Hope this makes up for it. And with the Echo, we might see the Hundred crew once again.
Next chapter, Naruto ends up on an earth that's remarkably normal. No superheroes, no world ending apocalypse. But there is one thing and it doesn't require his speed or fighting ability but rather his mind. He's heading to Seattle for a brain teaser of a meeting. Until next time.
Don't worry guys, more action packed adventures soon. Happy April Fools. Bet you guys are happy this chapter isn't a prank.
