very quick update... I have so much fun writing Omega. he deserves more love, literaly.
Also, mild description of robot-gore.
"re..risna... are kris..a risn... krsa...are..."
Sound entered his Audio and forced him to boot up again.
He was X... and he had crashed...
For a moment, he had thought that he had blessedly died, but alas...
'There no God here...' Otherwise, he would've been slain a long time ago.
Or... maybe God was there... but only answered to those who were naturally born and didn't hold an artificial soul.
More of his senses returned online. X's giro and positional algorithm told him that someone was rocking him. And the rest of his system health informed him that he had never been cleaner in all of his life.
He was cozy; a pair of strong arms were rocking him back and forth as Zero sang him a lullaby. A hand comfortingly playing in his hair.
"Hare Krisha... Hare Krishna... Krishna Krishna... Hare Hare... Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare." He had never heard his Zero sing so sweetly, let alone sing.
'what is this lullaby? I don't think I heard it anywhere.' Not in Abel city, not in Megacity... and definitely not in Neo-Arcadia. But whatever it was, it called to the father... the shamed progenitor of a useless race.
He burrowed his face and audio deeper in Zero's chest, merging his consciousness in the Lullaby and his fiance's powered core...
Powered core...
... no, this was wrong... Zero was...
Unable to maintain the sweet charade, X opened his eyes and looked up... or tried to since... not Zero was cradling his head to his core and under his chin. But the movement was enough to convey the message.
Not Zero froze and released X's head from his grip...
He had Zero's face, Zero's long hair... but his eyes were red and filled with relief.
"X! Oh, thank God... Thank God!" Once again, X was crushed on Omega's embrace, and once again...
Once again, his heart fluttered. For the walking apocalypse had pressed his lips to X's cheek.
"I was so worried you broke for good... I...I should have been more careful."
X didn't speak... for he had just recalled what had led to this situation.
This was Omega... his...
He had never been in this type of situation before, not even during the hundred years in his morality test. What to say about those damn wars.
How should he react? What was the right thing to do?
After another kiss, Omega realized that his plaything was not reciprocating. He wasn't moving.
Since... what was X supposed to do in this situation?
Omega released his plaything, and X took this opportunity to make some distance between him and the god of destruction.
And the red-eyed abomination let him, not even making a sound as X curled up at the other side of the couch, still wrapped in the fluffy covering.
A heavy silence felled upon the two.
Now what?
Omega gazed at X, once again; his face only held pity and sadness...
Zero never showed pity, but sadness, on the other hand...
X wearily looked at the blond robot master as he moved to another sofa, sitting down as nonthreatening as possible. He stared at X, his elbows on his knee, his head supported by it.
The unfortunate first kept his gaze on Omega... he didn't bother counting, but after a while, the God of destruction reached out to take a book from the coffee table, it was a rather thick volume about general yard-work.
Yard-work...
After some time, it was clear Omega was engrossed in what he was reading, and X took this opportunity to look around the living room.
The walls were painted a lively shade of blue; there was an entertainment centre with a radio by the side. He could see a gaming computer, a bookshelf and some paintings and Indian prints. The one with the five-person dancing quickly caught X's eyes... he would need to reference the artist for this one.
There were a set of stairs, the one he and Omega had...consumed their deal on, the bedroom too far for the amorous androids. X moved to the other floor. He knew that this was where the bedroom was... two bedrooms, an attic, the master bathroom and a cleaning closet.
Before Omega led his trophy to be washed, he had shown everything on the second floor, making sure he opened all doors for X's to inspect.
X was paranoid, but the amount of time this paranoia had saved his life... it was practically a feature now.
He returned his attention to the ground floor; another stairwell led down, a kitchen and a dining room, and a small hallway that led to another room.
He could not see the kitchen obliviously... but he doubted Omega would have any use for it.
Speaking of the walking apocalypse, X could feel his smouldering eyes on his form. It seemed his yard book could not keep his attention for long.
"You know... you can ask me whatever you want," Omega spoke loud enough to be heard... it was weird not to hear his booming declaration and his feral growls.
Actually, X's audio were unaccustomed to silence, always used to the sound of explosions, destruction and the constant hum of computers and machines. The sound of birds... of peace, foreign to him.
He gazed back at Omega; the monster had the galls to look as intimidating as a kind nurse.
It was... X was not used to seeing a compassionate Zero. not this kind, soft and compassionate anyway... let alone Weil's beast.
He looked so... mundane as he sat on his armchair with his feet folded under himself... a pose that screamed 'I am safe, I am relaxed, and I am not a danger, nor am I in danger.'
He looked so inviting...
Omega was expectantly looking at his plaything, gently moving his head as a gentle prompt.
It was... so human.
"Were are we?" Location... he needed to know his location.
"Kin'ada... I heard it used to be called Canada before world war III; I guess when the reset happened, the good people decided to return everything to the native." Omega explained as he scratched the side of his jaw. "I'm not a Historien though, so..."
"Canada..." X had heard of this place... it was part of another continent.
Neo-Arcadia's location was in Eurasia, they had chosen to build it by the Somalian coast... X had wished to make it closer to Russia, for the land still held some promises, but alas, circumstances made it so that the coast of Somalia had become the new cradle for humanity.
"It's... still green," X observed.
"Yeah... but not as green as it can be." Omega grinned. " It's the start of spring, so everything is still a bit brown and dead-looking. But you'll see X; soon, the whole place will be green and filled with life."
X stared at the god of destruction... the way he smiled broadly and...
"It's not true." X denied. "The maverick wars have turned the world into a husk... pollution had robbed the oceans of all life, and the climate is irreparably changed." He repeated the information the meteorologist had told him... and his own observations. "The elf-war made it worst." Despite his best attempt, the father of all reploids could not hide his leer.
Omega raised his perfectly sculpted brow. "No, it's not." he denied. "Trust me, X, I went around the world a few times, and from what I've seen, some places are ruins while others are on the mend... and Kin'ada's like the best place to be at the moment."X blinked a few times... and bit his lips. "Omega... I know you ow me completely. But could you... not lie to me about this? And just show me how this place really is?"
It was Omega's turn to stare owlishly at X. "What do you mean?"
"This place... spring... this nice house." He gestured around the room. "It's clearly an Elf-generated illusion... or a virtual reality." He knew Omega always had Zero's D... Mother elf with him, keeping the corrupted artificial being on his person at all times.
Omega stared at his plaything as if he had just said the most outrageous thing ever.
" I know what's real Omega, Everything here is as fake as your hair."And whatever affection he had shown X.
Omega got up, and X could not even muster the care to feel worried. Since no matter what the God of destruction could do would not be the worst thing X had experienced.
...
Omega placed his hand on X's forehead and then moved his eyelids wider. Peering inside with the same critical and worried eyes, Douglas would.
'What are we doing now? Playing medic? Repairman?' X wondered as he waited for Omega's next move.
The walking apocalypse lowered to his knee's and grabbed hold of X's worn and stained hands. Holding them both in his tender grip as he massaged them.
"X... Listen to me." Omega began speaking slowly and deliberately. "This is real... I may have the ability to go into cyberspace, but I can't make all of this up." The blond spoke with gravity. "This house... it was given to me by a friend. This land is called Mascouche by some and Nanda-gram by others. It's march, and were gonna have some snow tomorrow."
X looked listlessly at Omega... if this was the game he wanted to play, then X would indulge him.
As long as it kept the beast from reaping more lives.
That was the deal, right?
Omega reached for X's face, gently cradling his left cheek. "X... please don't shut yourself down... You're not a prisoner here."
"...Were is Weil?" X asked instead... he knew his position.
"Dead."
This one word was enough to break X out of his habitual numbness... He stared at Omega, knowing for certain that this had to be a dream.
The crimson eyes demon sadly looked at his plaything. " I killed him two weeks ago; I still have the memory of it."
"Can you prove me this... that this is real?"
"I kept his head in a jar...it's in the basement." Omega state with a straight face. "Just to be safe... you know."
"... I see. You killed a human." Which was quite normal for Omega. "You killed your master."
Omega snorted, his mood souring. 'Slag, X, what have you done?'
"Excuse me, but the guy had no right on me." The demoniac blond informed his toy. " He didn't build me, he didn't program me, and it was Doctor Cossack who made the external armour, not this poor excuse of a human being."
It was X's turn to snort. " He was the one who put you in your armour."
"yeah... Well, I don't care, the guy was a global menace, so I killed him." Omega huffed, looking more like Zero at this blessed moment. "I wanted a break for his pestering... Can't date you if he keeps his shenanigans, you know.'
Despite himself, a smile dared to stretch X's lips... he really should feel bad about this... he really should. "And you... cut off his head?"
"Heard the guy was specializing in regenerative science." Omega explained as he sat closer To X, still keeping his hand's in his. "Didn't want to take any chances, so I cut off his head and burned his body." He lifted his eyes to the sky. "I... guess I forgot to tell you guys... but I didn't want them to see you as useless..." He shrugged. "But hey... no need to worry about Neo-Arcadia anymore. Not gonna go back there even if I was told I could destroy the place for good."
X kept looking at the Devil-Reploid... this was... such an unsuspected development. "Why?"
"Well, I don't want to." The walking apocalypse revealed, his voice soft. "I mean, sure. I like killing things; that's my main directive, you know."
Oh, X knew alright...
He must have made a face, for Omega gently caressed his cheek comfortingly.
"X... me apologizing for the thousands I killed won't bring anyone back... But I'm sorry anyway." The Reploid devil hastily added. "I had no idea what I was doing back then... and I had no idea what I was destroying."
"Oh? So now you've seen the errors of your ways and are a repentant bot now?" X could not keep the nasty sarcasm out of his voice.
Omega's hands retreated, and his eyes took a sorrowful look. "I do." He said, a whisper compared to his usual loud voice.
The way he held himself, how his shoulders and back were hunched, his eyes dim with... regrets.
Should X dare... should he dare believe that this was true, that Omega really felt bad for his previous actions? And that he wanted to repent?
'Weird way of repenting.' X thought... He had been taken away, turned into a sex slave in exchange for Humanities right to live.
...
"X..." Omega began. "I don't think... Do you know how it was like, serving under Alexander?" The Crimson Devil asked without asking. "It was... I was always fighting. I woke up in the suit, fused to it... right in the middle of a battlefield; my only directive was to destroy everything..." he explained. "It was so painful... and the only way I could get relief was by killing and destroying... I didn't know those things running away were, and those sending coloured light and beam at my face, I just knew I would stop feeling as if dipped in scalding acid if they stopped moving."
X turned his head toward Omega, morbidly fascinated by his side of the story.
"You were there also, flying around the field in your amazing bird armour... saving those things... risking your life..." Omega spoke in reminiscence. "Now those were the days; you were my bluebird of happiness then."
X remembered those times, too... how many did he fail to bring to safety?
"You... were so beautiful. Painfully beautiful..." The beast breathed out, his eyes falling on X. "And your even more up close."
X snorted... and Omega's smile fell.
" I... I lost my taste in destruction pretty quickly." The world-ending blond continued, more subdued this time as X openly scoffed at this statement. "But the Pain kept me going... and forget about no going out since... The pain got so bad." The devil's voice grew quiet. "And... it was the only opportunity I got to see you."
"You... wanted to see me?" X asked, mesmerized by the emotions that danced in Omega's heartbreaking faceplate.
Omega returned his coal-like glances to the dull green of X. "I did... and I still do."
They remained locked in each other's gaze, The god of destruction... with his words filled with affection...
'This can't be true... Omega's a monster... he's just playing with my feelings.' X thought as he let his warden hold his hand and gently placing a kiss on his knuckled.
" My going to the street to slaughter thousand became a mean to see you... I even tried killing less, just to make you happy."
"There... was a marked decrease in casualty," X reluctantly admitted. "But... you still slaughtered millions, Omega... and I-" X clamped his mouth shut.
"You won't forgive me for this." Omega finished X's phrase quietly. "I'm... not that surprised." The walking apocalypse lowered his hands... and X's hand in his lap. "I'm... surprised you even considered my request for a kiss after all I did, though."
"Did I have a choice?" X shot back. not bothering to hide his displeasure.
Omega opened his mouth... and then closed it, deep regrets etching his handsome features. "No... We didn't give you... I didn't give you any." He meekly admitted...
Omega... Meekly Admitted...
Silence once again pressed against the two reploids. The devil reploid was stubbornly looking at his hands; his whole body screamed, 'I just realized my plan worked but with horrible consequences.'
X could relate...
The father of all reploids leaned back; Omega didn't seem like much of a threat anymore... at least, for now.
"When will you start again?" X asked after some time, just listening to the birds in the budding trees and the silent house.
Once again, it was too quiet for his ears...
"Start what?" The devil reploid asked as he also leaned back. Placing his hands to the back of his head.
"To kill..."
"Ah, it depends if the guys a big menace or not." Omega casually informed X. " I work as a bounty hunter... like the last line of defence. But I rarely get called since... you know, this place doesn't have that many criminals... big ones, that it."
X fully turned his attention to his... warden? Master?
"Omega... what were you doing this whole year?" He asked. "Did Weil...made you sleep or... and why are we in Canada of all places?"
Omega gave X a sidelong glance and a small smile. "No, when Alexander learned of our little deal... he let wander around his... boat-base. But it was so boring, I had nothing to do... and I didn't want to break my promise to you and Elfin."
"Elfin?" X asked.
"Mother elf, she may be driven crazy by Curse, but she sure knows how to drive a hard deal," Omega revealed. "Curse is... well, another elf that causes other to go mad."
"Right... another elf." How did humans come up with those poor unfortunate creatures? The supreme manifestation of the disposable culture. "So... what was the deal you made with... Elfin?"
" Well, you remember when I told you I was practically fused to my mech-suit?"
"yes..." X's eyes grew wider in horror. "Wait... don't tell me."
" Before our first date... I literally had to rip my skin off to get out of the armour." Omega spoke with an air of reminiscence. "... I think I may have blackout into cyberspace... that, or my vitals plummeted so badly, Elfin's ability got activated... she told me she would heal me at the condition that I would stop my rampage."
"That... was a stupid this to ask." X readily admitted.
"Don't I know it?" Omega chuckled. "But... I really wanted to experience this kiss. So I said yes."
"While crossing your fingers behind your back."
"Nor really, they ripped out when I pulled out of my skin."
"Oh, God..." X whispered in horror.
"But yeah... I was about to give her false hope." Omega's smile softened as his gaze moved past eternity. "And then... you kissed me."
"I didn't have a choice..."
"No... But... it woke me up. It gave me..." The reploid devil sighed as he closed his eyes. "X, You gave me more than a mere kiss that day; you gave me time."
"Time..." X repeated.
Omega gently caressed X's cheek with the back of his finger.
It was a very familiar gesture between them... an affectionate gesture that somehow gave X the impression that there was more to Omega than mere destruction... more like an illusion.
"Yes... Time... Weil thought he still had control over me, that I was still stuck in this coffin of a suit." Omega chuckled as he curled up on the couch, still gazing at X's face with clear adoration... or close to it. "So, he left me to stew in so-called pain for a whole week in the hanger."
Reflective, X caught Omega's hand... and held it in his own.
Somehow... he still had some care in his heart.
"It's was... so boring... it almost drove me mad." He admitted.
"And you... didn't break your promise." A wonder entered his voice. "I tough you would... knowing Weil."
The crimson reploid in a white blouse gently scoffed. "I have nothing to do with this human error..." He brought X's hands to his lips, gently depositing a kiss on his repaired knuckle. "And... This kiss you gave... I wanted more."
X felt a shiver traverse his spine. For as twisted as his situation was... the interfacing session had been amazing.
"I wanted to live... not just destroy everything without knowing what it was!" Omega's eyes glowed with joy and life... and since it was Zero's face and eyes.
X was seeing his fiance without the heavy veil of depression. He could see enthusiasm, joy and excitement. He could see this bright, bubbly will dancing in those ruby red eyes.
The blue bomber held back his tears, but some still managed to escape his controls.
Omega gently wiped them away, cupping his cheek.
"Someone... don't ask me who since the place was as good a deserted, left a compter... he had saved a news article on it about how Montreal received forty inches of snow in forty-five minutes... So, I got curious." The devil reploid gave a lazy shrug.
He looked... tired, all of a sudden.
"You... got curious about... Canadien winter and you..." X sipped a breath in as he tried to decypher Omega's alien thought process. "Went to Canada for a whole year?"
"Hmm-hmm." Omega nodded as his eyes closed, curling around X's hands as if they were a precious plush toy. "Got stuck on ice... and almost drowned in snow. " He happily sighed. "The people are nice... the weather's a bit crazy...I love this place." He snuggled in X's open palm. His drooping eyes filled with affection and gratitude as his lively red met jaded green.
"You gave me time... and... because of you, I realized what I was destroying." Omega slurred as he tried to fight away sleep. And loosing.
"Omega?"
"Yes, love?"
"What happened to you? When what the last time you recharged." X asked, worried about his... handler despite himself.
"Hmm... Sorry... didn't... recharge for... th'last twenty-four-hour... was worried... about you..." And with that, the Walking apocalypse was out like a light, with X's hands held preciously to his heart.
X remained staring at this unknown he knew; this presence made his life infinitely more complicated and simple as the walking apocalypse entered into deep recharge in the all too quiet house.
His audio were buzzing... he needed to get back.
He could hear footstep... His sweet X's footstep.
'Oh... He can walk...' Omega observed, still in this comfy state between consciousness and sleep. 'Good... nothing got broken.' He let a lazy smile play on his lips as he listened to X's footstep. Quiet enough... yet still loud to his ears.
'Now... what is he doing?' He wondered as he booted a bit more, trying to ascertain his sweetheart by sound alone. 'Is he looking at my bookshelf? Maybe the curio... of, I know, I'm sure he's got a kick out of the ancient TV I... wait... no he's.'
He was going in circles... X would walk to the outside door, hold the knob, pause... and then turn his back, walk five steps... moaned bellow human hearing range and return to the door...
'Ah, blown fuse... What this I mess up next.' The android internally groaned as he fully booted up. Doctor Coil had warned him that X would not be in the right state of mind at first.
'Damn it... can't do anything right, can't I.' Omega thought with dismay as he gently sat up as not to make things even worst. 'First, I get too rilled up and frag X until he goes into recharge, then I learn I've been pressuring him... and now this.' Would the situation be different, the crimson reploid would be openly growling, probably looking for something to destroy.
As he sat up, hiding behind the back of his couch, he saw a familiar sight that broke his growing heart.
X was indeed pacing the room; his once vibrant green eyes were dull with confusion and anxiety. He kept holding the right side of his head... his ears, to be more precise. He wasn't mumbling, with it was clear he had muted his voice.
Omega bit back quite a few curses and oaths; this... wasn't good.
"X?" He called out, hoping his dearest obsession would react.
And he did.
X eye's regained their sharpness as he whirled about to face Omega, his eyes wild with fear as he clutched his blanket tighter around himself.
This was the most painful shot his blue bomber could have launched at him, for it pierced his heart with equal part guilt a shame.
"X... it's alright, hun. You are safe... I won't hurt you." The blond assured his sweetheart. Meaning it with everything he had.
He was done hurting people who didn't deserve it. And X didn't deserve it at all.
X stared at the approaching reploid, first with fear... and then with resignation.
"X..." Omega began, feeling more of those painful emotions related to X and his situation. He realized he had no idea what else to tell him.
At lost for words, the freed reploid gently pressed his hands on X's overburdened shoulder, trying to ground him.
No, he had absolutely no idea what to do, and he didn't want to risk surfing the web.
"X... listen to me... Look at me." Omega addressed the First reploid, hoping he didn't screw him more than what he could deal with. "Please... what's wrong, tell me what's wrong." He pleaded.
He desired to start anew and share this start with X, Zero's beloved and his greatest benefactor.
Instead, Omega had a distinct feeling that he was making things worst.
X looked at Omega... his heartbreaking mien doing nothing to soot Omega's aching heart.
"I- I want..." X stuttered, his whole body tense like a piano wire.
'He's scared of me...' One would think Omega would relish the fear that danced in the legendary hunter's eyes... but he didn't.
He had fallen in love with the sweet, headstrong hunter, the founder of Neo-Arcadia, the fearless warrior that had faced him numerous times, all alone with what amounted to a cardboard armour against the might that Omega held. But what was left of the beautiful X was now in tattered, broken to such an extent that...
That he had basically regressed to an AI wandering the halls' of the hunter HQ. Lost, alone... and used like yet another mechaniloid.
Omega could only nod as he tried to coax his crush to open up. Desperately hoping that... this could be something he could fix.
'he's not a broken toy...' He reminded himself. No, X was more than this...
"I... Need to... return... to base." X managed to get out, averting his eyes. "I was... I can't..."
'he's confused... deadlocked.' Omega realized. "X, listen to me." he gently brushed his sweetheart's hair out of his green eyes; his head felt too hot to the touch. " What are your current directives?" He asked, hoping the father of all reploid would latch on to his words and break free re-associate with reality.
"My... current directives... are to... Return to Neo-Arcadia... find and destroy Frigide Firefly."
'Alright...' "Alright... and? What is causing you to glitch? What are the roadblocks?"
"I have to stay here to..." X made a face and averted his eyes.
"To?" Omega coaxed.
X made a sound at the back of his throat, his eyes appeared clearer, and some emotions other than deep confusion and fear were replaced by disgusting deference.
It was... progress, but it also told Omega that he had screwed up... again.
'What did Mamie told me about hindsight? Right... hindsight was always twenty-twenty.'
"I... Have to... do whatever you want me... otherwise..."
"There's no otherwise." Omega cut X off. Now understanding the crux of the matter. He brought X's eyes to meet his again. "X..." He sighed...
This was not going how he had planed it... at all.
Despite himself, X leaned into Omega's gentle touch. The beast's bright red eyes were filled with concern and annoyance.
'huh... I can't believe Omega has more than three emotions.' He thought as he inspected the face of his captor.
Yes... it was still Zero's face, but there was the way he moved his brow, the way his mouth quirked, his eyes movement, the way his brows danced...
It was mesmerizing.
"X..." Omega called him, keeping his left hand on X's shoulder and his right to his cheek. He looked... at a loss of words.
And the sigh confirmed that the god of destruction had no idea what to do in this situation.
"Listen... I won't hide the fact that I wanted you for a long time." He began.
'' But you have proven yourself to be inadequate and boring, terrible in bed and mentally unstable.'' He knew the spiel, having heard it quite often from his superiors.
Except for the bed part; that was new.
"And... you have no idea how happy I am to have you here, in my home." Omega smiled.
''But...' He knew there would be a but. And nose a nice one.
"I... wanted to make you mine since the first time we've kissed... and now. I did..."
X mildly pursed his lips at the reiteration of this fact. He could have said that he belonged to the world or Zero...
"I belong to Zero," X mumbled... declaring this fact as loud as he dared.
Omega's face darkened, and his eyes narrowed dangerously.
"Hey... now that's a face I know. I screwed up again!' X didn't feel fear at the thought of Omega tearing into him.
It would be in character for the beast... and it would mean that X was playing his role right and that he didn't have to feel bad when Zero would come and rescue him.
...
"Yeah, well, your fiance did a piss poor job at taking care of you." The God of Destruction growled. "Listen... I'm not your Zero, I'm still figuring who I am, but one thing's for certain." Omega brought his second hand to X's cheeks, looking deeply in his eyes with such an intensity that the blue bomber was certain the beast would re-etched his circuitry.
"I made you mine; you gave yourself to me. You belong to me and me alone. And I won't leave you as the other coward did!" He spat out.
X felt a shudder coursing through his body. Was it revulsion? Was it pleasure?
At that point, the First didn't want to look further into this particular matter. He knew his position...
Omega ran the pad of his thumb on X's cheeks, right under his eyes. His own red eyes softening considerably.
Was it moisture her felt...' Ah... I must have been crying.' Was the sight of tears a turn-on for the walking apocalypse?
"And... this means that you are mine to love and care for," Omega spoke with the same gravity as a reploid had when vowing to be a hunter and protect humanity at large from all conceivable threats.
But... instead of been vowed to a bunch of bureaucrats and the self-impotent humanity. It was vowed to X... and it was vowed...
He had vowed it with the same intensity Zero once did.
Of course, X's CPU had stopped working at the mention of Love. He wasn't even sure if Zero had this word in his dictionary. Let alone the god of destruction.
It was almost enough to have X go into screensaver mode.
And to hear it from Omega, the God of destruction, the devil-reploid, the walking apocalypse! to hear him say it with Zero voice and the same intensity he had when he had declared his feeling for the azure reploid.
X broke into a fit of laughter.
"X? X, what's wrong?" Omega asked frantically, holding his plaything as X let his gales take over. "X?"
"You!" He managed to choke out. "You... Do you really think you can love me? You really think... you really think I'm worth all this trouble? That you even have the ability to feel something other than lust and hatred?"
Omega looked at X with hurt confusion. 'Welcome to the club, Omega. I hope you can find your way out! I know I won't."
Whatever humours felt at this statement soon died off, just like his laughter. Omega had not moved a hair, just staring at X.
The overwrought android hung his arms around Omega's neck in a mock embrace. " You teased me, bargaining the fate of the world for some quick and dirty make-out session with and decrepit old man." He moved his hips from side to side. "Always leaving me a hot mess walking the halls of justice. And yesterday, you took me on your lap and fragged my systems until forced recharge took me over." His voice turned into a low growl. "And you want me to think... that all of this was because you want to love me? Take care of me?" He scoffed. "Oh, Omega... Do you really think I'm this stupid?"
"No." The monosyllabic answer was curt and yet held regrets and some annoyance. But X was done trying to psychoanalyses whatever his...warden was saying.
"No... and yet you're still trying to pass a fast one on me." X could not stop his show of annoyance at the beast. He sighed, once again feeling his fatigue weighing down on his all too narrowed shoulders. "Listen... you won... I... there's nothing else I can do to stop you. Do as you will."
"So I can care and love you unconditionally? And make sure you never suffer the way you did at the hands of those so-called humans?" Omega asked with a very straight face. But to X, the slight upturned of his lips told him everything he had to know.
X was about to protest when he realized that... Omega was absolutely free to do whatever he wanted. And this denial would essentially make X's statement moot to point.
Even if what Omega wanted was completely ludicrous and out of character for him.
"... if that's what's your in to." X flatly admitted, once again defeated by the demon lurking in his fiance's body. 'As long as he's busy with me, the world at large can breathe again.' It was a sacrifice he was willing to make.
Omega broke into a bright smile as he rubbed his hand, a mischievous glint dancing in his blood-red eyes. " Wonderful! So I don't think you'll have any objection about putting some clothes on you?"
"No... absolutely none." What would he put him in? A french maid outfit? Schoolgirl outfit? A dog collar?
Baby outfit?
'Oh God...what have I gotten myself into?' He thought with dismay... now truly regretting his decision.
And yet... it was worth it; the trillions of life saved would be worth it...
Omega let out a little chuckled as he wrapped his powerful arms around the shorter reploids waist, bringing him closer to his body. "Wonderful... My pet." He affectionately kissed X's head gem, leaving his lips there for some time as he caressed his trophy's back.
Despite himself, X leaned into the embrace. He knew it was shameful; he knew it was unbecoming of him, the commander's right-hand man... and the last hunter.
He had surrendered to a maverick; something would make him sick at the thought...
And yet... this surrender felt... he felt like a weight had been lifted for his shoulders.
He only had to tolerate it... he only had to use his body to keep Omega entertained until Neo-Arcadia managed to finished Zero's copy body; X knew the moment his fiance would hear about his situation, that the blond hunter would move heaven and hell to get his X back... and destroy Omega for good.
This was a good plan... this was a good plan...
Omega moved to his lips, and X dared to wrapped his hands around the beast, leaning onto his shoulder, fooling himself to think that this was his Zero... and that it would not last long...
'Oh, Zero... please don't take too long.
Oh? Do you think Omega and X are OOC?
Well, this is X after numerous wars and Omega after a healthy dose of character development.
And no, Omega is not a Hare Krishna. But... he does know some.
