The Girl Without A Past II: The Enemy Within

Chapter 01: "Usagi's Birthday"

This is the first chapter in this series and the sixteenth chapter over
all in this saga.

**** 01 ****

Usagi had been in the United States for about six years. Five years she was studying criminology
and related courses like that was required to become an agent of the law. Usagi had help from Andrea
Williamson in whom she called 'Big Sis', John Ross, and of course the Sailor Guardians helped her too
in fulfilling her dream. Her parents also gave her support any way they could. Usagi had very little free
time and she worked hard to reach her goal and with great success.

Then one year ago, Usagi finally joined the FBI. She also became a United States citizen and she was able
to keep her Japanese citizenship as well. Everyone at the FBI just called her 'Bunny' and she was fine with
it since it was the English translation of Usagi. Andrea Williamson and John Ross was happy that Usagi did
well in the FBI and helped in any way she could to solve the most difficult cases.

On this day, there was a party at a restaurant for Usagi not only for her being in the FBI for a year, but also its
was her birthday too. Andrea, John Ross, and a few other FBI staff celebrated her birthday. Andrea gave Usagi
a beautiful tablet for her to use and John Ross gave Usagi a three foot stuffed bunny knowing Usagi loved rabbits.
Other people gave Usagi many wonderful useful gifts and Usagi lived all the gifts. However, most important was
a care package from Usagi's family and friends from Japan which pleased Usagi very well.

The evening party went well until they heard a couple of screams outside and Andrea, John, and Usagi ran outside
to locate the screams. In an dark alley, the found a couple of unconscious girls. The girls was still alive. Andrea
tried to wake them up but it was no good. Usagi wore glasses. This was part of her new powers as Sailor Moon.
She could use her powers while she was not transformed. Usagi noticed something strange about these girls.
However, she couldn't make out yet what was strange about them. Usagi did see a sickly yellow-greenish glow
about these two girls. These two girls were between the ages of thirteen to fifteen and had a perfect completion
about them and very pretty with long hair.

Andrea called the paramedics on her cell phone while Usagi and John Ross investigated the scene further. Usagi
saw no other evidence with her glasses. Right now, to her this didn't make sense how two perfectly healthy girls
could faint for no reason at all. Suddenly a chill went down her spine and Usagi shivered a bit that something sinister
could be at work here.

The Paramedics came and took the two girls to a local hospital. The girls wouldn't wake up at all. Andrea hoped this
would be the only case of unconscious girls. However, the next night two more girls were found unconscious in the
same manner as the day before. Two girls perfectly healthy and without blemish.

"Big Sis, that's four in all that has been found unconscious."

Usagi stated to her best friend Andrea. Andrea shook her head in reply of what Usagi had stated.

"Yes and there's no evidence at all of who is behind this. What do you see with your glasses Lil Sis?"

Andrea asked Usagi about what Usagi saw.

"The same as last night. A sickly yellow-greenish glow all around those two girls and not only that, but there's
no sound here except all of our breathing. A very dead silence."

Usagi stated that the girls had a very sickly glow about them and not only that. Usagi's enhanced hearing of her
new powers also detected a calm stillness with dead silence which Usagi shivered with a bit of fear but Usagi
wouldn't let this bother her.

Usagi and Andrea returned to the house which they lived in. Usagi and Andrea talked about this. Luna sat
nearby and listened to the two women talk. Luna had her own fears about how the four girls were found unconscious
but, it was too early for Luna to draw to conclusions at this time.

"What will we do Big Sis?"

Usagi asked Andrea. Usagi didn't know if she should contact Ami and the others. Andrea still didn't know who the other
Sailor Guardians were or that Luna could talk.

"Well, Lil Sis, for right now we will have to continue this investigation. It's a crime against those girls and I feel more girls
might be a target. I suspect that only girls between the ages of thirteen and fifteen are affected. The more we tell others
about this, the more people that will be affected. it's best that we keep this between ourselves and John Ross too."

Andrea suggested and Usagi agreed. However, a new sinister force was at work. One far darker and more evil than
all the villains of the past. And the worst part, this new evil couldn't be seen by mere humans.
