KawaiiCutie12: This was supposed to be a oneshot, but thanks to two nice reviews (and the fact that I forgot to mark this as a oneshot XD) there'll be more oneshots; it just may take me longer due to writing my Hibbles story.

Miss DeLuna: ❤❤Thank you a ton! As for feelings...for this series, it'll most likely be platonic, but my wattpad fic will (eventually) be romantic.

Guest: Thank you so much😊

Festival of the Damned:

"Come on, let's go!"

"For someone that's not a big fan or horror, you're rather excited."

It was evening, and Him had taken her to a festival of some sorts. It was set in what appeared to be a large, black, abandoned mansion, and she could see and hear the rides and other ghouls conversing. Some eerie Latin music was playing throughout the speakers, and it wasn't hard for Bubbles to translate.

"Well it's a festival, and besides...I'm with you!" she chirped.

Him chuckled at her giddy nature, before the two picked up the speed.

As they neared the hellish mansion, Bubbles could see other demons and humans; some appeared to be witches and satanists, while others appeared to be on...leashes?

"Some demons have human pets or servants," Him voiced, reading her thoughts, "usually in exchange for their or a loved one's soul. The rest of them are part of cults. Well, you're an exception."

Bubbles shuddered at the thought, and soon they neared the entrance.

"Have a hell of a time. Next!" the vendor said.

The two walked up, and the vendor's eyes lit up.

"Ahh, His Infernal Majesty!" the vendor cheered.

Him flashed a grin, waved a claw. "In the flesh. That'll be two wristbands."

The vendor nodded, and looked to Bubbles. His eyes widened as he recognized her, and Bubbles laughed.

"What, can't a powerpuff have fun, too?" she teased, "being a heroine can get old, ya know."

He blinked, and looked back and forth between the two. "No way. How-are you here as a pet or slave?" he questioned, though not rudely.

She shook her head, and Him wrapped an arm around Bubbles.

"She's here on her freewill" was what he said.

"I see...she's a beauty," he commented, summoning up a small dagger.

Him looked down at the now bashful puff. "Indeed she is. A feisty one as well."

"I can only imagine," he laughed, and handed him the dagger. "You know what to do."

Taking the dagger, he slit part of his wrist, before passing it over to Bubbles.

"You can just prick your thumb(1)," he assured her.

Bubbles nodded, and hesitantly did just that. Squeezing out some blood, she dropped it onto a now glowing part of the stand. Soon, the cuts miraculously faded, and black wristbands appeared on their wrists. Not even a second later, two passes appeared around their necks.

"So you guys won't have to wait in line, and games and food are free," he explained.

"I see; I appreciate it," Him voiced, going to walk inside.

"Thank you!" Bubbles called out

"No problem! Enjoy your time!" he called back to the two.

Now completely inside, Bubbles stared around. There were food venues, rides, a photo booth, and a few other activities.

"Where shall we head first?" she heard Him's voice.

Bubbles looked around, and her eyes widened. "That ride!"

Him chuckled, following after her. As they walked, Bubbles thought it'd be a good idea to make conversation.

"So do they have this every year?" Bubbles asked.

Him shrugged. "I have no clue...it's my first time heading here as well."

Bubbles' jaw dropped. "What?"

Him looked down at her and laughed. "Well, it's true. I don't care much for these sort of events, but I figured you'd enjoy it."

Bubbles smiled up at him, and he returned the soft gesture. Nearing the ride, Him stared back down at Bubbles.

"After this, we can play a few games if you'd like," he suggested.

Bubbles' eyes lit up, and she vigorously nodded her head. They arrived at the line, and she sighed.

"Now you gotta go to the beach with me one day," Bubbles deviously said.

Him rose an eyebrow. "What makes you think I'd do that?"

"Because I came here with you," Bubbles answered, batting her eyelashes.

He made a thoughtful sound, before moving forward. "We'll see about that."

Bubbles grinned at the back of his head, following after him to the front of the line. Showing the ride operator their passes, the two made it to the ride and sat down. The ride had three individual sections, with four seats in each one, and it appeared to go in both one giant circle, and three mini circles all in a different direction(2).

"Ooh, I love these kinds of rides!" Bubbles declared.

"That's a relief. Wouldn't want you flying off in the middle of the ride," Him teased.

Bubbles smacked him in the arm and pouted. "Hey, I'm not a baby anymore!"

Him laughed. "That face says different."

Bubbles couldn't help her laughter, and soon, the ride controller's voice could be heard.

"Good evening, ghouls, peasants, and others," a voice came over the speakers, "fasten your safety belts, and keep your hands and limbs inside the seat."

Fixing herself, Bubbles scanned the area. She caught sight of one of the human pets on another seat. She looked miserable, and it seemed as though the demon was sneering at her. Shuddering, she looked elsewhere just as the voice over the speakers came back.

"All clear!" he called out.

Bubbles turned back, and nudged Him. "Eeee, I'm excited."

Him laughed. "You're absolutely adorable when you're excited, you know."

Bubbles blushed, and suddenly the ride started to move. She felt it go in a slow circle, before escalating in speed.

"Woohoo!" Bubbles cheered.

Grabbing her hand, Him lifted their arms up, smiling as he did so.

"Yeah! Wooo! Oh yeah!" Bubbles cried, lifting her other arm.

Moments later, the ride began to slow down, and it soon came to a stop.

"What? Oh come on, it was just getting good!" Bubbles cried.

Him shook his head with a grin. "You know what they say: all good things must come to an end."

She begrudgingly agreed, before getting off the ride with him. Just as they were about to walk away, the sound of someone being sick was heard.

Looking back, everyone grimaced at the sight, and Bubbles realized it was the same human she saw earlier. She was trembling ever-so-slightly, and the demon (whom she assumed was the girl's master) appeared to be reprimanding her.

"Oh my, that's going to be a pain in the ass to clean," Him voiced, moreso to himself.

Shaking his head, he guided Bubbles away and near the other festivities. In the distance, she could hear the other demons groaning and cursing about not being able to get on the ride.

"Man, they're really pissed," Bubbles voiced, watching as the ghoul dragged her away on a black leash.

"I don't blame them," Him answered back, "the poor, damned souls."

Bubbles frowned at his misdirected pity, but walked along and continued scanning the area.

"Any games catch your eye?" Him asked, turning to her.

Bubbles did a quick scan, before her eyes landed on a ring toss game.

"This one!" she cried, practically dragging him along.

Him chuckled at her, and she showed the game operator her pass.

"Never thought I'd see His Infernal Majesty here," the game vendor teased, while Bubbles played.

"Well, I figured she'd enjoy it here," Him answered, gesturing to Bubbles, "and it looks as though I'm correct."

The two chatted and watched as Bubbles tossed more rings, managing to make them all into difficult scoring bottles.

"Booyah!" she cried, putting a fist in the air.

The demons laughed, and the game vendor moved towards the puff.

"Alright, little lady, what prize ya want?" he asked.

Scanning through the jewelry, a certain necklace with a ruby red stone."

"That one," she answered, pointing to the necklace.

"Excellent choice," he answered, almost sounding like Snake.

With a snap of his fingers, the necklace was around her neck, and she stood there admiring it for a moment.

"It's so beautiful," she whispered, before looking back up at him. "Thanks!"

"Hey, no prob. You two enjoy yourselves!" he called out.

The two walked away, and were once again looking around.

Bubbles turned back to Him. "Hey, why don't you pick out a ride?"

Him rose his eyebrows. "Me? Pick out a ride?"

"Well yeah!" Bubbles exclaimed, "I mean, you did take me here."

Him made a thoughtful sound, before turning to scan the festival. His eyes landed on a roller coaster that was large, and had about two loops(3).

"Are you brave enough to go on that one?" Him teasingly asked.

"Oh yeah! You bet!" Bubbles cheered, but stopped short. "I should probably take this off for now."

Taking off the necklace, she carefully folded it, and placed it in the front pocket of her shorts. Strolling alongside Him, she looked around, seeing another one of the human pets.

Well, at least he doesn't seem so miserable, Bubbles thought. Actually...he looks kinda like he's having fun.

Arriving at the ride, the two immediately got on, and Him turned to her with a smirk.

"Don't hesitate to cling onto me," he joked.

"Puh, as if," Bubbles retorted.

Talking with each other, the ride started up soon after, and Bubbles gasped.

"Woah, we're going so high up," Bubbles voiced.

"Yes, we are," Him agreed, staring out at the horizon.

The ride took a quick turn, and immediately dropped.

The riders screamed a mixture or fear and excitement.

"OHHHMYYYGOOOSSHHH!" Bubbles cried.

The minute the drop ended, it looped around twice, much to Bubbles' hidden fear. Not long after, it went through a dark tunnel, and Bubbles' slight, lingering nyctophobia went haywire. She clung onto Him, and not long after, the ride went back into the light and slowed down.

"Please remain seated until the ride has come to a complete stop," the ride operator spoke.

The ride came to a halt, and everyone began to unbuckle themselves. Him went to take off his seatbelt, when he realized Bubbles was clinging onto him still.

"Bubbles, the ride's over," he voiced.

Upon hearing that, she immediately pulled away and unbuckled herself, beet red in the face.

"S-Sorry," she mumbled, shakily getting out.

Him blinked, before mentally scolding himself. Maybe I shouldn't have pressured her into getting on...He stood up and walked out towards he. He could hear that she was still breathing deeply, and his slight guilt increased.

"Bubbles?" he cautiously questioned.

She turned back. "Yeah?"

"How about we get some food?" he offered, before realizing how stupid that seemed.

Bubbles seemed to disagree, and she nodded her head. "Okay, sure."

Walking to one of the venues, they grabbed some food and sat in a booth nearby.

"This food's great!" Bubbles declared, sauce on her face.

Him chuckled at the sight. "It has quite the flavor."

They ate in silence for a fee more moments, until Him spoke up again.

"You know, you didn't have to go on that ride. Though...I suppose it was my fault for pressuring you."

Bubbles looked up from her food wide-eyed.

"What? No way!" she cried. "I just..."

She sighed, before looking back up at him. "Let's just say...even though I have my own room now, the dark still freaks me out here and there, especially when it's unexpected."

Him understood, and he fnished up his food. "Well, we just finished eating. It wouldn't be too wise for us to get on any rides, so why don't we just walk around?"

Swallowing her last bite and sip, Bubbles nodded.

Getting up, the two walked and talked, admiring the other attractions. Looking around, she caught sight of the same guy pet she saw earlier. Unlike the girl she saw earlier, he and his master seemed almost...friendly. Had it not been for the black leash, she would've thought he came here freely like her.

Hmm...

"Hey, Him?" Bubbles questioned.

"Yes, Bubbles?" he answered.

"If...the humans-er, pets-are so miserable, why don't they just do as their masters say and get it over with?" she wondered.

Him sighed. "It's not that simple. Since the master's word is law, they have the ability to do and create some...disturbing rules and actions, to say the least."

Bubbles blinked. "Oh."

Him could tell she still didn't fully understand, so he took a different route.

"Remember that one pet we saw?" he asked.

Bubbles remembered the girl and nodded.

"Well, while I don't know the full details," he began, "I don't think I'd be wrong to assume he's made his own twisted conditions to their contract. Whereas that guy other there, he..."

Bubbles frowned as he trailed off, and was surprised to see his eyes glowing green. They remained like that for a few moments, and when they faded, a humored expression came across his face.

"What is it? What'd you see?" Bubbles asked.

Him looked at her, leaning into her ear.

"He's fallen for him," he whispered.

Bubbles' eyes widened, before cautiously looking back at them. She saw it now. No wonder they looked happy.

"And it seems like once his time is up, he'll be returning," Him finished.

Bubbles couldn't help but grin. "Aww, that's sweet!"

"Hmm, I suppose," Him agreed.

Bubbles giggled and shook her head. Same old Him, never admitting that love could be cute.

"Hey, let's play more games," Bubbles piped up.

"What game would you like to play?" he asked.

Bubbles pointed to a video game styled game; it appeared to be a multiplayer racing game of some sorts(4), and the prices varied from knickknacks to fashion pieces.

Bubbles looked up at him with eager eyes. "Let's do that one together."

Him's eyes widened slightly. "Me? Oh, but I'm no good at those kinds of things."

"Well, have you ever tried these 'kinds of things'?" Bubbles challenged.

He went silent, and Bubbles knew she had him beat.

"I, Bubbles Utonium, challenge you, His Infernal Majesty, to a video game duel!" she declared, getting the attention of some of the others.

His eyes flashed green again. He never backed down from a challenge.

Especially not from a powerpuff.

"It's on, powerpuff!"

Laughing, the two sped off at the speed of light towards the game, zooming right past the game operator. Upon arriving, they wasted no time in picking out their characters and the racetrack.

"3..." Bubbles began.

"2..." Him seconded.

"1..." Bubbles eagerly added.

"GO!" Him declared.

The two pushed the pedal piece and immediately began steering; somehow, Him had absolutely no trouble with that. Steering and hitting the gas, the two sped on the road, occasionally attacking each other with various weapons.

"Take that, Inferno Princey!" Bubbles cried, throwing a grenade at him.

Completely caught off guard, Him's character was stunned for a moment. Bubbles laughed as she was now in the lead.

Him pressed a button on the game, launching a missile at her cart. Bubbles saw and tried to swerve out of the way, but wasn't fast enough.

"In your face, Butterball!" Him shot back.

Bubbles quickly regained control and hit the pedal once again, trying to catch up. Unfortunately, luck was not on her side.

"Well would you look at that? Look like I've thwarted you this time," Him teased, laughing at the flabbergasted puff.

"Well well well, looks like the dark prince came out on top," the game operator said, walking up to them.

Bubbles looked back and saw her. She was a deep blue, almost opposite of Him, and her hair was an off-white color that was long and wavy. Her eyes were deep and dark, yet Bubbles didn't feel threatened by them. She wore a blueish-black sleeveless dress, with one side shorter than the other, completed with fishnet leggings and black ankle boots.

"Ah, Deoni, didn't realize I flew right past you. How are things?" Him asked.

"Oh you know, same old, same old." She then directed her gaze to Bubbles, who was shyly smiling at her. "Well I'll be damned. Thought the others were pulling my leg when they said one of those girls was here.

Him looked to Bubbles and smiled, before turning his gaze back to Deoni. "Yes, she's finally decided to come out and live a little."

Rolling her eyes, she playfully swatted him, earning laughs from the two demons.

"Such a goofball." She looked over to Him. "What'll it be for you?"

HIm moved his gaze around the prizes, carefully looking them over. Finally, a grin came across his face as he pointed a large, pink boa scarf.

"That one."

The girls followed his gaze, and Bubbles laughed while Deoni rolled her eyes. Grabbing it, she placed it around his neck.

"Still have a thing for scarves?" she teased.

Bubbles laughed as Him jokingly narrowed his eyes. "Shut your trap."

Deoni laughed at this. "Still easy to mess with."

He rolled his eyes, before looking to Bubbles. "Come along, Bubbles."

Turning back, she waved at the blue demon. "Nice meeting you!"

Deoni smiled and waved back. "You too, dearie!"

Walking away, the two played a few more games, with Him winning a red pork pie hat with a black horizontal stripe and Bubbles winning a cute lacy choker.

Bubbles turned to Him. "Hey, how much longer until-"

A scream nearby caught their attention. Turning towards the sound, they saw a few demons running away, and a few of the cult members yelling at another group of people. A demon bumped into the two, and Him grabbed onto him before he could say anything.

"What's going on?" he asked.

"P-Priests...attacking...throwing holy water..." he forced out, obviously shaken.

Bubbles clenched her fists. They weren't doing anything wrong, and besides, what the actual hell happened to freedom of religion?

"I'll handle this!" Bubbles declared, zooming off before Him could say anything.

As she sped over, she saw exactly what he was talking about. Her blood boiled, and she used a blinding tactic she learned from Him to temporarily shield their vision.

"AHHHH!"

Letting out a cry of anger, she flew down, delivering blow after blow. The cult members nearby watched with both shock, and...utmost admiration.

Several punches, kicks, bites, and curses later, she grabbed them all and flung them back to wherever they had came from. Floating back to the ground, everyone stared wide-eyed. For a moment, they just stared. After what felt like an eternity however, they cheered her on.

"That was amazing!" one of the cult members cheered.

"Totally fab!" the male pet from earlier called out.

"You rock!" Deoni voiced.

Bubbles' cheeks pinkened at the praise, and she felt an arm wrap around her.

"They're right you know. That was absolutely amazing."

Bubbles looked up to see Him smiling down at her, his eyes glowing softly. Bubbles found his smile contagious, and hugged hin back. The crowd still cheered and whooped, and even after they cleaned up the mess, everyone still sent her grateful glances.

Hours later, it ended with a giant show. Now, a few glasses of wine and a number of chants later, Him and Bubbles were back in his room in their pajamas, recapping on the whole day.

"That was so much fun!" Bubbles cried.

Him smiled, staring up at the ceiling. "Yes, I did quite enjoy myself tonight, especially that beating you gave those bastards."

Bubbles grinned. "Aww shucks, that was nothing."

Him turned to her. "That was the best 'nothing' I've seen in a lifetime."

The two laughed, and Him yawned. "I'm not sure about you, but I'm exhausted."

"Yeah, me too." Bubbles snuggled under the covers. "Goodnight, Him."

"Goodnight, Bubs."

Turning the nightlamp off, the two were immedialtely out like a light.
