Chapter 2: Eternal Suffering

Ten thousand years later, Tenebris ended the torturing but planned other means to amuse himself. He would summon over one hundred thousand random people to be tortured for an entire day before moving onto another group for an entire day, he did this to keep everyone in fear of his power. No one could leave either, there was a realm boundary that made it like they were in a globe of sorts but seemed endless but with a boundary that would zap anyone back into place.

Everyone was starving to death but could never die and grew ill yet still couldn't die. The people could kill animals but after doing so they would just appear next to them and their former corpses lay there. The people began to make clothes from the hides of the bodies and tried to eat them but threw up as they were unable to eat due to the horrifying effects of what Tenebris was doing to them constantly while not being in their presence.

It was a living nightmare that no one could escape from but during this time people began to talk to one another and be introduced to other species from other galaxies. Some that did evil went to the caverns to hide from the public while those that did good stayed away from the caves and then there were some that went back and forth. No one could age, everyone was stuck in their early twenties and none could reproduce.

Fifty Years later...

Dray's eye opened and he sat up grunting clutching his burning skin.

"Dray." Cosmic said running up to him.

Cosmic touched his arm and helped him to sit on some nearby soft animal hides.

"I was one out of one hundred thousand chosen for today's regular torture." Dray said.

"Lay back." Cosmic said.

Dray laid his head back on some more hide.

They was both wearing some animal hide as clothing, behind them was a bone hut with some hides around it as a make-shift home, the ground was all muddy with thorns poking out of the ground.

A young girl walked in with a sad look on her face.

"Hey Shinobu, it's okay." Dray said.

Shinobu didn't say anything and just walked over giving Dray a hug.

Dray was in some pain but didn't mind.

"Sweety, he needs to rest okay?" Cosmic said.

Shinobu just nodded and sat down nearby.

Dray and Cosmic found Shinobu alone and still in a child form. The two didn't understand why but decided to take her in as an adopted daughter, Shinobu accepted.

"Hey, you guys there?" Sasori called out from outside.

"Yeah, come in." Cosmic said.

After the ten thousand years of torture, Aizen introduced his friends to Serenity's friends and family and Ken and Eto's friends. All of them created their own big friend group.

Sasori walked in.

Shinobu hid away, still a bit shy of their friends but she did manage to give him a wave, and Sasori waved back.

"Aizen was wondering if you two wanted to stop by for bone chess but, I can see you need to recover." Sasori said glancing at Dray.

"Cosmic how about you go with him?" Dray said.

"I don't want to leave you here when you're in pain." Cosmic said.

"It's okay, go have some fun." Dray said.

Cosmic still looked worried.

"I got Shinobu here." Dray said thumbing back to her.

Shinobu looked at Cosmic with a faint smile.

Cosmic sighed and gave him a kiss.

"I'll be back once the game ends." Cosmic said.

Cosmic walked out and Sasori gave Dray a wave who waved back and the two walked off.

"So, how is Serenity?" Sasori asked.

Meanwhile, Serenity was fixing up some hides with two dead goat corpses beside her with the same two goats alive on the other side.

Serenity got up and cracked one of the goat's necks killing it, and it magically reappeared beside the other goat.

She took the body and brought out a bone knife and began to cut the fur off.

"Boring." James said as he was waiting.

"Hey, James." Serenity said.

"Yo, you want me to take over?" James asked.

"Might as well, I had a hard time with the triceratops hide which took me over an hour." Serenity said.

Serenity got up and James took her spot.

"I heard your dad was one of the one hundred thousand chosen for today's torture." James said.

"Son of a bitch." Serenity growled looking up into the sky.

Far up in the sky was Tenebris' endless flagship along with the triangular ships.

"You going to go check on him?" James asked.

"You know I am." Serenity said walking off.

"Keep a cool head okay!" James called out.

"Try too!" Serenity called back.

An hour later, Serenity walked into Dray's hut and saw him just staring at nothing.

"Bored?" Serenity asked sitting down beside him.

"I'm surprised our wonderful neighbor didn't come to check on me." Dray said.

"Yeah about that..." Serenity began to say.

"Yoohoo, Draykey!" Stolas said.

"Son of a bitch." Dray said.

"Draykey!" Stolas shouted walking in.

Stolas walked up and gave Dray a tight hug which hurt him.

"Oh, how awful!" Stolas said.

"Ow ow!" Dray said.

Serenity just sighed having to push Stolas off her father.

"Remember, friend zone." Serenity said.

"Sorry but I hate to see your daddy so hurt, oh it ruffles my feathers." Stolas said.

Octavia walked in and gave Serenity a quick fist bump before grabbing her father's arm and dragging him back.

"Space dad." Octavia said.

"Oh I know, I already had this discussion with Draykey's wife before and after she beat me up." Stolas said.

"Yeah, and we keep reminding you I'm straight and married." Dray said.

Serenity sat on her makeshift hide bed nearby with Octavia sitting beside her.

The two watched their fathers talking to one another and chatted amongst themselves.

Meanwhile, Ken was looking at the bone chess board and was facing off against Aizen.

"It's been ten minutes and you haven't made a decision." Aizen said.

"Because I'm screwed either way." Ken said.

"Exactly, so do something." Aizen said.

Ken sighed and moved a rook forward and it was taken out by the knight and to which his king was all that was left, against two knights and five rooks, a king, and an active queen.

"Just call it." Aizen said.

"Dude, I think you may of lost." Hide said as he was watching them.

Hide and Eto was watching the game along with a few other spectators.

Ken facepalmed and called it getting up and sitting nearby.

"Don't worry I will avenge you." Eto said patting Ken's head.

Ken just rolled his eyes mumbling.

"Hey, sorry we are late." Sasori said walking in with Cosmic.

"Where is Dray?" Aizen asked.

"Is Stolas keeping him back again?" Ken asked trying to hide a grin.

"He is resting, he is one of the one hundred thousand for today." Cosmic said.

"That's rough, sorry to hear that." Eto said.

"Say wasn't Jessica tortured yesterday?" Sasori asked Aizen.

"Yeah." Aizen said.

"And let me guess, she didn't want you to help her out today because she's still mad that you killed her?" Cosmic asked.

"Yup." Aizen said.

"Didn't you apologize though?" Ken asked.

"Every single day." Aizen said with his eyebrows raising.

"Checkmate." Eto said.

Aizen blinked realizing he wasn't paying attention and just sighed.

"You avenged me!" Ken said.

Aizen just mumbled something and stood up.

"You know how about I talk to Jessica tomorrow when we have our girl's day out." Cosmic said.

"You know she won't listen." Eto said.

"She might listen to me." Cosmic said.

"More power to you, I can't face her again since she tried to rip my eyes out." Aizen said.

"And spade you." Eto added.

"Cut your tongue off." Ken added.

"Tried to shove you up an elephant-" Cosmic said.

"Okay okay enough." Aizen said.

"Maybe we should pray one day the Emperor drops from his ship and falls in front of Jessica." Eto said.

"She'd probably kill him." Ken said.

"Exactly." Eto said.

An unknown thin human male with shaggy neck-length brown hair with bangs and reddish-brown eyes approached the group with a pleasant smile.

"Hello there, I hope I'm not interrupting anything." The male said.

"Not at all, how can we help you?" Aizen asked.

"Well, I couldn't help but overhear that you spoke of Tenebris and I was wondering if I could lend any services I can for you." The male said.

"Thanks but I don't know what could help us." Aizen said.

"Who might you be?" Ken asked.

"Oh, I am Akechi Goro." Akechi said.

"Hello." Cosmic said.

"Mind if you fill me in on how you know Tenebris?" Akechi asked.

Aizen perked an eyebrow.

"Of course." Cosmic said while glancing to Aizen for a second.

Cosmic began to explain to Akechi what they know.

Meanwhile, Jessica was throwing random hides around and bones out of her way.

"Fucking things cluttering the area!" Jessica shouted.

"I see you're wrecking someone's home." Gin said.

"This someone gave me a nasty remark, calling me annoying!" Jessica said.

Gin mumbled something.

"Say it louder!" Jessica shouted.

"You are." Gin said.

Jessica frowned at him.

"Hey." Akira said approaching with Makoto beside him.

"Oh hey." Gin said.

"Yeah yeah hi." Jessica said searching around.

"Run." Gin whispered.

"Is everything okay Jessica?" Makoto asked.

"Other than trying to find something fluffy to lay on!? Oh, everything is peachy!" Jessica shouted.

"You know how about we go find a sheep." Akira said.

"Oh thank you! You are much more helpful than Aizen ever was." Jessica said.

Jessica grabbed Akira's hand and dragged him off leaving Akira speechless.

"Is she ever going to let go of the past?" Makoto asked Gin as the two walked behind.

Gin just sighed.

"I don't know anymore. I wished her and Aizen just kissed and made up." Gin said.

The next day...

Akira and Makoto approached Dray, Cosmic, Shinobu, and Serenity's hut.

"You there?" Akira asked.

Serenity opened it.

"Hey." Serenity said.

"You ready for girl's day?" Makoto asked.

"Yeah, we are- mind if Shinobu tags along? She wants to come but is nervous." Serenity said.

Makoto looked back to see Shinobu hiding behind Cosmic who was up.

"Sure." Makoto said giving her a smile.

Serenity, Cosmic, and Shinobu exited while Octavia walked over to join them.

"You girls have a nice time okay? "Dray said.

Dray, James, and Akira waved while Stolas walked up to them.

"Oh Draykey..." Stolas said.

"Oh no." Dray, James, and Akira said together.

"I was thinking, why don't we have a man's day out then! We got nothing else better to do than just sit around and be depressed about our current situation." Stolas said.

"Our eternal situation." Akira said.

"Oh come on, we can have a glorious man's day!" Stolas said.

"I guess I'm down for it." James said.

"I suppose it wouldn't hurt." Dray said.

"Excellent, let's go gather the others." Stolas said.

"You think Jessica is complaining about Aizen?" Dray asked Akira.

"Most definitely." Akira said.

An hour later...

All of the girls were walking together past random aliens and all had a deadpan stare looking forward while Jessica was running her mouth about Aizen.

"I'm going to lose it in a minute." Umbreon whispered to Eto.

"I'm going to lose it in a second." Eto replied.

Makoto glanced to Serenity who glanced back and both sighed.

"Okay! That's it!" Mangle shouted.

"Thank you..." Serenity whispered to herself.

"What?" Jessica asked.

"Look we are having womanizing time and here you are complaining non-stop. Listen, lay with Aizen, make up with him, for crying out loud lady! So what if he killed you- he explained why he did. Hell, I would kill you too! Right now if I could!" Mangle said.

Jessica tried to grab Mangle and Mangle tried to grab her but she was pulled back by Cosmic.

"Girls." Cosmic said.

"No please, let her do it..." Maychiro said.

"Listen, Jess. How about I go with you to talk to Aizen?" Serenity asked.

"You will?" Jessica asked.

"Yeah! I will go with you tomorrow, you two talk, and maybe you two can make up." Serenity said.

"I want to kill him." Jessica said.

"Well none of us can die so, you'll just have to make do with beating him up." Serenity said.

"With a bone club." Jessica said.

"Yeah sure with a bone club." Serenity said.

"Deal." Jessica said.

"Aww, I wanted to see a fight..." Maychiro sighed.

"Wow, you actually did it." Octavia whispered to Serenity.

"Let's see how tomorrow goes." Serenity whispered back.
