As the Veggies drove in a stretch limosine from the airport on their way to the studio that would co-produce the film—"Varner Brothers Pictures", Junior and the kids stared out at the beauty of LA. One half of the limo was reserved for the adults, while the other super long half was reserved for the kids, with a 50 inch flatscreen tv, waterbed seats with real fish in them, and a free espresso machine (which Libby more than took advantage of).
"Libby..." Junior said. "You were right. We've truly hit the big time now."
"YEAAH!" Libby exclaimed in a slightly gravelly voice, while holding a very small cup and drinking from it (she can't exactly handle caffeine). "Lifestyles of the Rich and Veggies, BAY-BAYYYY!! WOOOO!"
The Hollywood sign lay in the distance, surrounded by foliage atop a gorgeous mountain.
"It's so..." Percy paused. "Big."
"Yeah it is!" Annie replied. "It's only the most iconic thing in Cali!"
"I'll bet it's not as iconic as Disneyland." Percy smirked.
"Oh you guys.." Junior smiled. "EVERYTHING'S iconic in Hollywood!"
"Even that trash can?" Annie asked, relatively sarcastic.
"Well yeah—" Laura's eyes grew wide. "For all we know, Marilyn Monroe could've puked in there! Or Groucho could've tossed an old cigar in there!"
"Either him or De Niro." Junior replied.
"You MEAN it?!" Libby hollered, legitimately excited. "I LOVES DA DE NIRO!"
The window to the adult section of the car rolled down, revealing Bob's face.
"Hey, could you guys keep it down back there?" Bob asked, then smiled. "We're playing PARCHEESI!"
"OKAY!" Libby exclaimed, jolting directly in front of the window, making Bob jump. "Say, is that GRAPE JUICE? CAN I HAVE SOME IN THAT NEAT LITTLE GLASS?!"
"D-did you have caffeine lately, Libby?" Bob asked, feeling a little terrified. "Y'know your folks gave me strict orders not to."
"How can I not have caffeine, when this little guy keeps temptin' me!?" Libby replied, filling up like 5 cups at once from the espresso machine. "I'm gonna get soooo sick, but it's gonna be soooo worth it."
"Oh, hey!" Laura looked out the window. "We're HERE!"
