Chapter One: The Awakening

"You're not Ladybug, heck you're not even a girl," a program with the akuma's purple suit on. The butterfly imprinted on the helmet made Adrien flinch.

"I never said I was, and no, I'm not a girl," Adrien said. His blonde hair covering parts of his face.

"Well, after I've seen what you do, I'm sure you've got everyone fooled," the program said. Adrien couldn't place down whether a girl or a boy laid under that mask. "How did you get here?"

"Why should I tell you?" Adrien sneered.

"Oh, don't worry, you don't have to tell me," the akuma said, grabbing Adrien's identity disk. "Your name is Adrien, you work in a garage, and how did you get here before I get deeper?"

Adrien loved playing disks with his fellow programs, and it continued throughout everything. "Adrien, come on, or I'm going against Alya," Felix said, putting a hand on Adrien's shoulder.

"Just a sec, I have a few more…" Adrien bonked his head trying to sit up on the light bike he was fixing.

"Here, try this," Felix said, handing Adrien a silver wrench meant for dissecting mechanical things like light bikes and choppers. Adrien was able to fix the bike within a matter of seconds with this wrench. Adrien got up and put the wrench in his pocket.

"Done," Adrien said, getting up.

"Well then, come on," Nino said. "Those disks aren't going to fly themselves around a course."

Adrien put his helmet on and held his identity disk, not turning it on for a fight. This was simply a disk game, nothing more. When he realized Felix was getting harder to beat, he said, "Well, seems like someone's been practicing!"

"Yeah, and I'll never give up!" Felix responded, throwing his disk towards Adrien who leaned backwards, let it come over, and caught it. He threw the disk against the wall and threw the other disk it hit Felix in the back.

"Player One wins," an animated voice said.

"Good game, Felix," Adrien said, handing Felix his disk. A purple light lit up the air.

"HELLO FELLOW PROGRAMS! I AM PLEASED TO ANNOUCE THAT HAWKMOTH WILL BE TAKING OVER HERE TO ENSURE PEACE AMONG OTHER PROGRAMS," a girl's voice announced. Felix and Adrien had to jump away to dodge a statue of Hawkmoth dropping down. The whole stadium lit up purple. Two akumas stood in front of the statue.

"Hey, this is our playing field!" Felix said.

"It's ours now," an akuma responded.

"Felix- please, don't, this can't be helped," Alya said.

"No, this is our playing field!" Felix persisted. The akuma wasn't hesitant to derez him.

"FELIX!" Adrien cried out.

"So, you lost a friend? That doesn't answer my question," the akuma said to Adrien. "How did you get here?"

"You need to know the whole story," Adrien said. "Because the rest would just be confusing."

"Just explain to me how you got here," the akuma said harshly.

"Fine, harsh much?" Adrien asked, sarcastically. "It was that moment that I decided I had to do something. I took on the identity of Ladybug, and did my first act of rebellion."

Adrien pressed a button on his suit, the outfit turning black and bearing the five polka dot symbol and put his helmet. "Hawkmoth- your rule over canon ends now." He grabbed a baton and shoved it in his pocket. He climbed the statue of Hawkmoth and destroyed the head of it with his identity disk and while the akumas were distracted with the fallen head, Adrien popped a bomb inside the statue and leapt away, opening his baton, letting out his light bike.

He turned on his light as the akumas looked at him, astonished. "L- Ladybug?" The bomb blew up, sending the akumas flying through the air.

Soon enough, there was an experienced akuma fighting Adrien. He flipped back and dodged all of her attacks very narrowly. "So you're Ladybug? I thought you'd be shorter." Adrien kicked the akuma in the mask, making it so he could see her face. The helmet fell down and Adrien saw who was in the mask. He had seen her with Officer Lila, her name was Kagami. Blue hair fell around her face, that illuminated her blue eyes.

"Oh- you're going to regret that," Kagami said, spinning on her heels and kicking Adrien in the stomach and reaching for her disk. Adrien jumped and dodged his attacker and climbed up and jumped off of a barrel into a chopper.

"Sorry," Adrien said, knocking out an akuma and throwing the akuma in the back. "Time for a redirection." Adrien quickly redirected the chopper and Kagami jumped on the chopper.

"This isn't your chopper," Kagami said.

"It isn't anymore!" Adrien brought the chopper higher up in the air and smashed the control panel. He ran and jumped off the chopper and open wings that were like a parachute.

"Who- Who are you?" Kagami asked as Adrien flew through the sky. "You- You are a renegade."

"Brilliant. You know you should work for us," the akuma said.

"Sorry, I don't like your boss," Adrien snarled. He kicked the akuma in the stomach, getting unlatched. This caught the akuma off-guard. But, smoothly, the akuma dodged every attack.

"This is a dangerous game you are playing," the akuma said.

"Yes, but I won't stop fighting, because for all we know, Ladybug is alive, just waiting for a revolution to start!" Adrien fought back. Soon enough, the akuma had their disk turned on and held it against Adrien's neck.

"Even if you have to get derezed? Even if people don't chose to fight beside you?" the akuma asked.

"I will never stop. And I guess this'll be the end of both of us," Adrien said.

"Or not." The akuma stood up straight, and the suit transformed into a red suit with five black polka-dots in the front. "Because you are right about one thing. I'm not dead." And the face of Ladybug revealed itself.
