The Training
Kuoh Academy, Kuoh Town
The next morning
Somebody knocked on the door. Hyosuke made a surprised expression. School begins in two hours. But Hyosuke was often at this time at the clubroom. But he was the only student who was at this time at school.
„Come in" Hyosuke said.
The door opened and Kiba stepped in. „I thought you might be here, seems I was right"
„Hey Kiba, what's up?"
„I just wanted to check out if you alright after yesterday."
„Yeah, I'm fine, don't worry." Hyosuke laughed.
„Well, that's the Sword History Club? This whole room is kind of a mess."
Kiba was right, everywhere in this room were sheets of paper lying around and the table loaded with maps, books and other stuff.
„Well, its just until the club gets official. Then we have a budget to buy some furniture."
Hyosuke began to pick up the sheets from the ground and put them in different folders. Each of the folder had a different name.
After a while, Yuuto said to Hyosuke: „You're a Sacred Gear holder, am I right? Sword Reforge is it's name?"
Hyosuke began to explain: „Yes Kiba, you're correct! My Sacred Gear is Sword Reforge, which is able to reforge every sword I ever had contact with. There is no limit in amount, size, power, material and type of swords. But the swords only last for ten minutes, afterwards they need to recharge. For example I can use the Damocles Sword ten minutes but it needs nearly five days to recharge."
„That means your Sacred Gear is powerful, but just for ten minutes, if you don't have any special sword at your disposal. Unlike Sword Birth you have to make contact first, before you can create a specific sword. But it can also use the Original Holy and Demonic Swords, which are more powerful than the ones my Sword Birth can create. And this is the reason why you started the Sword History Club, to find these powerful swords and add it to your arsenal. Which swords are at your disposal right now, if I'm allowed to ask?"
„The Damocles Sword, Ridill, Raynare's Light Sword, an Exorcist Light Sword, an ordinary Claymore, an ordinary Falchion and an ordinary Shinai."
„Only seven swords. That's just a total of seventy minutes." „What's on your mind, Kiba" „You could expand the amount of swords in your Sacred Gear using the swords created by my Sacred Gear."
„Right, but I don't want you to simply let me touch them. I want to have to fight you before."
„Then let's meet after school. But I first have to ask Buchou."
„Cool, but if you excuse me now, I have to talk to the Headmaster."
„Talking to Lord Gremory? Why?"
„Because I found the next one." Hyosuke was holding up a folder, with the words Outlaw Sword written on it's front. Then he rushed away.
„Wait, you already found the next one? Impressive!" Zeoticus Gremory was following the presentation of Hyosuke. „But wasn't Robin Hood an archer?"
„Lord Gremory, Bow and Arrow aren't useful in near range. That's why Robin Hood was also using a sword."
„Well that's true. But how you were able to find this sword so fast?"
„After I was able to find out where Nottingham once was, I just looked for an forest or a place where a forest once was. Because of this I was able to find an old cave, which was blocked centuries ago because of a landslide."
„Good work, I guess. But I cannot let you go now. You have to wait until next thursday."
„Fine, I'll waiting. Thank you for your time, Lord Gremory." Hyosuke bowed his head, then he left the room.
Later that day at the training field.
Hyosuke went to the middle of the field, Kiba was already waiting. At the bench at the side was Tomoe Meguri, the Knight of Sona Sitri. She agreed to be the referee of this duel.
„Hey Tomoe, Yuuto! Are you guys ready?"
Tomoe walked to Hyosuke, her sheathed katana in her right hand. A few steps away, she held her sword towards him.
„Touch it! You'll need as much swords as you can get against him."
„Thanks Tomoe, it's an honour to use your katana."
He touched the katana, felt a tickle in his body and saw a vision.
A young Tomoe was crying, and a beautiful woman hugged her and put the katana in the arms of Tomoe. The woman then told her:
„I'm not always by your side to protect you, but your sword will always be there for . Don't forget this."
Tomoe stepped aside, she then declared: „Swordsmen, get on your positions."
Yuuto and Hyosuke took their places and got into position. Hyosuke chose to use the shinai first, because it just needs eight minutes to recharge. He prepared himself for the jodan-no-kamae.
„Ready," Tomoe looked to both of them, „start!"
Yuuto made the first move, and sprinted towards Hyosuke, with his Demonic Blade in his hand. Hyosuke struck down his hands, shouting: „Sword Reforge: Shinai", and the shinai appeared in his hand. As the two swords collided, the shinai broke immediately. But Hyosuke knew this would happen and stroke the broken part in his hand towards Kiba's chest. Kiba wasn't able to counter this, and got hit. He then stumbled backwards.
„Well, I wasn't expecting this, you got me."
But Hyosuke already dashed forward this time a Falchion in his right hand. Yuuto parried the blade, but the broken shinai hit him again, this time at his right side. To avoid further attacks, he jumped back and summoned Flame Delete and Holy Eraser. But Hyosuke was already in front of him, turning around. Suddenly Hyosuke fell, because he stepped on the upper half of the shinai.
Tomoe was the first one who laughed followed by Yuuto and then Hyosuke.
„That went down quickly." Hyosuke said.
„Something like this must happen to a human swordsman, who is able to held his own against a devil."
Kiba then summoned all of his swords: Demon Blade, Holy Eraser, Flame Delete, Replenish Calm, Snow Scorcher and Blade Breaker.
„But you showed you're more than worthy to wield those swords."
Hyosuke then touched every sword. As always his body tickled with every sword and he saw everytime the same vision.
A younger Yuuto training hard against his teacher, the samurai Souji Okita. With every vision Yuuto became better and better.
„Guys, do you wanna to hang out a bit?" Hyosuke asked.
„Sorry, but Rias needs me to get a Stray Devil." Kiba apologized.
„I have something to prepare for the next Student Council Meeting, maybe another time." Tomoe said.
„Okay, see you! Till next time."
Hyosuke then left the school area and walked home. As he took his keys and he opened the door, he saw a letter on the floor. On the backside was with beautiful letters written:„Pallas Athena, Mount Olympus"
Hyosuke described his Sacred Gear to Kiba, got permission for his excursion to Britain to obtain the sword of Robin Hood and had a battle with Kiba which he lost. But when he came home, a letter from Mount Olympus awaited him.
But what kind of sword did Robin Hood used?
Why does Hyosuke need to wait until next Thursday?
And why did he get a letter from the Greek Goddess Athena?
