Authors Notes: Soooo . . . sorry that the first chapter started fine and ended a little depressing. Mainly because it's the truth about Keefe's feelings. He feels like a worthless nobody, which wants to make me break down crying. ANYWAYS- I hope I can make this chapter a little more fun by having a slumber party (yeah, I know a lot of kotlc fan fiction stories might have sleepovers in them, but it's awesome)!

I forgot to mention that most of Keefe's POV is him thinking to himself (It's hard to make a perfect joke like he does).

And thank you RandomCatEnthusiast for making the first comment!

Enjoy!

I woke up to see my imparter screen light up with Fitz's face on it. I wanted to shut it off on him but knew better than that.

Might as well see what he wants.

"Hey Keefe," he happily said. "Sophie and I planned to have a slumber party if you're available. We'll meet at my place tomorrow noon."

Him and Sophie? Planned without me? How rude.

"Just us three?" I said suspiciously. "You're not planning some kind of evil prank on me, are you?"

"No," He laughed. "We invited Tam and Linh, but they weren't available. Only Dex and Biana and you if your answer is yes."

Fitz was usually the grumpy one in the group. Finally, now that he won Sophie, he acts all cheerful. Not that that's a bad thing. Maybe he'll come to his senses more and stop with the anger issues.

"Sure dude. I'll bring some elixirs for a little fun," I gave him a mischievous smirk.

I waited for tomorrow, which felt like months, talking to Ro made it feel even longer. Finally, I packed my clothing, accessories, and elixirs. I pulled out my crystal and light leaped away from the of the Shores of Solace. I arrived at Everglen, just to see Sophie get there at the same time.

She was so beautiful. We locked eyes for a couple of seconds before she smiled and walked to the gates where Fitz would be there any second to welcome her.

We walked inside to see Dex and Biana waiting for them. Biana hugged Sophie and Dex welcomed me.

"Okay," Dex began. "Let's get this party started!"

We played base quest for a few hours until everyone was so exhausted, we laid in the grass for a good half hour talking. We then went inside chatting and getting snacks. I noticed Fitz and Sophie holding hands and gazing at each other.

I pulled some Fitzphie jokes at that moment, which made both blush with embarrassment while Dex, Biana, and I laughed.

I caught myself staring at Sophie. This attraction was getting out of hand. If she gave just one slight look at me, my heart would put itself on a roller coaster all around the world. I couldn't even get her out of my mind. Was this normal? How could I get over this crush? But this was more than a silly crush. She was the light of my life. The spark in my heart. The way to the best life ever. I couldn't just let her go. But I would never force her into a relationship with me.

"Need something Keefe?" Sophie asked.

I got so lost in thought I forgot I was staring at her.

"Oh, uh . . . no," I blushed and looked away.

Fitz saw staring at me. I could've sworn I saw him give a threatening glare. But he swiftly went back to talking to Sophie scooting closer to her. I guess that was his way of saying that Sophie was his, and if I interfered, he'd do something. I'm being too obvious about her. Sooner or later, someone would tell her. She'd have to walk up to me and admit she never liked me, so I wouldn't take all my courage to say I like her, and she'd reject me. So, she would tell me before I asked her. It would break my heart. That's why it must be kept a secret.

Once the sun had went below the horizon, we all headed upstairs to figure out where we would sleep. I got too distracted and forgot to bring out the elixirs, but everyone was tired.

"Sophie and I can sleep in my room!" Biana said joyfully. "'Bout time we got some girl time."

Fitz looked ready to argue that everyone should sleep in the same room, but kept his mouth sealed.

"Okay great! That leaves just Fitzy, Dexinator, and me," I said as Dex and I bumped fists.

I peeked over and saw Sophie and Fitz transmitting to each other. But whatever he was saying made her blush like crazy.

Ugh, telepaths.

The Biana and Sophie walked upstairs to their room, while Fitz, Dex, and me walked to ours. We talked for a bit until Dex fell asleep.

"Keefe," Fitz said seriously.

"Yeah Fitzy?" I responded.

"I know you like her."

"I dunno what you mean," I smirked. "Foster's just a friend. She's nothing more."

Fitz frowned. "I've seen how you look at her."

"Look here, Wonderboy. I'm not trying to ruin Fitzphie if that's what you're thinking. One thing on my list is that I would never hurt Sophie again. Breaking you two up falls under that category," I said. "Plus, I don't have feelings for her. I just want to protect her."

Fitz did not look convinced, but he rolled over on his mattress and went to sleep.
