The Wolves Swan

Chapter Two

Alice Cullen was in the middle of replacing the old dead flowers in a vase with new ones when the vision of Athena hit her, the vase slipped from her grasp, smashing all over the floor, nothing much scared Alice Cullen but what she saw utterly terrified her.

Athena was tied up, bound, gagged and naked, bruises covered her very pale skin, half of her body was covered in blood, she was sobbing, the little pixie vampire could feel the terror streaming from Athena, she could hear a man talking, she couldn't see his face but his words sent a chill up her spine.

"Your finally mine Angel, years of watching, planning, waiting for the right moment to take you as mine, and you are finally here, I cannot wait to be inside you, to make you completely mine, to give you the baby I foresee you having, and when the time comes I will not only make you a mother to my children but you will be my wife, the best part my little Angel, is there is no one who would miss you, they all abandoned you, they done a great service for me, I would never have been able to get you so soon otherwise, that just tells me this is fate, that this is meant to be"

Athena's sobbing got louder, and when he lent down, placing his lips against her soft neck, her body violently tries to jolt away, her sobs turned to screams as she felt her attackers hand close around her throat, and that's when the pictures fade from Alice's mind but she could still her Athena's cries, her tortured screams still ringing in her ears.

Jasper was beside her in a heartbeat, arms pulling the pixie into a bone crushing comforting hug. If Alice could cry, she would be sobbing her heart out, as it was she was in too much of a shock to mutter the words of what the vision was about out loud. She knew she had to, she managed to get one word out before all family members and Jacob where surrounding her, worry etched into every single one of their faces.

"Athena"

"What's happened to Athena? Alice is she okay? What has happened to my baby sister?"

Looking at Bella with sympathy and concern, Alice quietly told them what she had seen in her vision, she expected the anguished cry from Bella, she expected the complete rage from Jasper but what she didn't expect was the murderous red haze that hit Emmet as she muttered the last words, she knew he was close to Athena but she had never seen him loose his cool like this before, and it frightened everyone around him, it was only Rose wrapping herself around him that seemed to keep him in place.

"Carlisle, we need to talk to the pack, what I saw hasn't happened yet, and will not happen for a while but Athena, she is in serious danger, we need to do something and we need their help to do it!"

Looking contemplative, Carlisle gave a nod of agreement, Jacob was quick to give Nessie a quick kiss goodbye before he was out the door and phasing mid jump to talk to the pack, the howl that tore from him sent shivers over the coven of vampires, the fear behind it made them all want to rush to Athena's side, to hold her and protect her from the world, he just hoped it wasn't too late to prevent the horrifying events unfolding…

Jacob ran as fast as he could, his paws hitting the forest floor hard enough to put indents in the dirt, his whole body seizing with panic.

Within seconds of his ear splitting howl, the pack began to phase in one by one, seconds apart, to many panicked voices in his head, instead of with words he showed them in great detail of Alice's vision and then everything turned into chaos, Colin and Brady where demanding to go see Zena, to make sure she was okay, Leah was viciously growling and playing over scenarios of what she would do to Zena's attacker, Seth, Embry and Quil where screaming that they were right, they never should have left her unguarded, if only Sam and the damn Cullen's had listened then she wouldn't be in the danger she was in, it was Paul who took everyone by surprise, with a veracious howl of his own, he took off and we saw clear as day where he was heading, straight for Charlie and Athena Swans home.

Everyone stopped mid shout to take off after Paul, they needed to stop him before he got there, one… Zena wouldn't just welcome them back with open arms, not after the last three years of radio silence from us and two, we would terrify her, we had managed to withhold the information about the supernatural from her, a giant wolf barrelling towards your home would bound to scare the shit out of anyone.

Although we was gaining on Paul, he was gaining on their home much faster, the panic was gradually increasing through the pack bond, the adrenalin climbing higher as he closed in on the house, just before Paul could break through the forest near Zena's home, Sam managed to tackle him, pinning him down by the neck to hold him in place.

"STOP PAUL, this is not the way to go about this, I know you are worried about her, we all are. But us charging in there like this will not help her, so calm down, we will meet with the Cullen's, we will remain level headed and conduct a plan on how to protect Zena, do you understand?"

The submissive whimper that radiated from Paul signalled that he did understand, Sam gently released him, shakily standing up on his four paws, Paul gives Zena's house one last sad glance before he and the rest of the pack make their way for the treaty line.

Slowing down as we approached the line, we could see the Cullen's where already waiting for us, the pack as one went to the trees their cloths were stored behind, phasing back into human form they dressed before approaching the coven of vampires, the atmosphere was tense, you didn't need to be a mind reader to know that everyone here was there for the one purpose of protecting Athena.

We were all in for a long night, tension was running high, everyone had a different opinion on how to protect her, how to gain her trust back, arguments broke out but was quickly calmed down by the Alpha and coven leader, it was around 5 am when we had all come to an agreement, for now the threat of Aro could be put back, we would all one by one slowly start to approach her, try to bring her back into the fold, it would be a hell of a lot easier for us to protect her if we could be around her daily, until then we would take turns patrolling and watching her and her home, where she went we went, as much as they wanted it to be easy like old times, they knew they had done a lot of mental damage to her, they also remembered that she wasn't so easy to forget and forgive, it would be harder to gain her trust back then it is to protect her from whatever or whoever was after her.

I had no doubt that we would do it but he just prayed whilst they were trying to help her that no harm would come to her…
