Disclamer: Everything from Horikoshi... Just let me hug these two, I ADORE THEM!
Shouto felt something cold brushing against his abdomen. "I should cover us, I'm sure is the winter cold." Something did not seem right, the feeling was very strange so he opened his eyes and, craning his neck, looked for something out of place. Right away, he noticed Izuku's hand inside his shirt; it was not even dawn yet and Shouto was already starting to feel his cheeks burning. He didn't want to wake up the boy next to him but he didn't feel like staying in that position; his shoulder ached, the one that he had been leaning on all night.
"I didn't have nightmares," he thought, watching Izuku's calm expression in front of him. Shouto was so close to his face that he was able to see every pore. He focused on how smooth his skin looked but he didn't want to move too much just in case. "Perhaps, realizing the situation we are in, he runs away. We don't get so… loving? very often."
He closed his eyes again and concentrated on the sweet sensation of having the boy he loved in his arms. "Yes, there is no point in denying it or hiding it anymore, I adore Izuku with all my soul." Without knowing why, the images flew in his mind and he began to remember that day, their first date, one of the afternoons in which they would meet with their friends at the mall:
I arrived ten minutes before the time. "Any excuse is valid to get away from home." He totally preferred to wait on a bench, under the large tree that gave shade to the meeting place with his classmates; it was the most recognizable place of all.
I could hear someone calling me from behind, I immediately tensed my body while recognizing the voice: it was Izuku Midoriya. I turned around just as he reached my side and jumped off the bench to sit in the empty space to my left.
"Hello, Todoroki-kun!" He exclaimed, smiling at me. "You were early too."
"Yes," I whispered, trying to control my heartbeat.
"How are you?" Maybe just looked like it to me, but he was more cheerful than usual."
"G-Good, Midoriya." I adjusted the shirt I was wearing. "And you?"
"Very well!" He replied, still smiling; I didn't have to turn my face completely to notice his expression. "I was looking forward to this day."
Midoriya started muttering things about a hero magazine he just got on the way to the mall. He began to turn the pages and read some of the information written there. "If it weren't for the fact that he made me too nervous while being next to him, everything he was saying would sound very interesting; more if it came from his mouth." He showed his fondness for heroes with every word he spoke, with every feeling that he let him see between lines.
I checked the time on my phone every so often, it was starting to exasperate me to wait so long. More than ten minutes had passed since the time we were to meet and the others were nowhere to be seen.
"Todoroki-kun..." he muttered, closing the magazine, "do you think something happened to the others?"
"I dont know." Yes, it was very strange that we were still alone.
"It is possible that they canceled and we didn't find out," he said, shrugging.
"Maybe," I replied, unlocking my phone to write in the group chat.
Midoriya's phone rang; his ringtone was from one of the first All Might commercials. It was a message from Uraraka telling him that he is very sorry but that we were alone, no one else was coming.
"If you want to go home, well… we can go," I whispered, getting up from the bench.
"We're here now, right?" Midoriya tucked the magazine into his backpack. "If you want we can stay for a while."
"I couldn't believe what was happening. I had just found out that I was going to spend the afternoon with the boy who was freaking moving my floor..."
I shrugged when I saw him turn his face, again, towards me; waiting for an answer and I, with the heat I felt in my abdomen, did not know whether to take the opportunity and risk him finding out, or simply reject him and go hide in my room.
"Todoroki-kun, it's okay if you don't want to stay," he said, closing his bag and placing it on his back. "I will go for a while anyway; I wanna see if I get something interesting."
"I… I'll go with you, Midoriya."
I took a couple of steps towards the door as soon as I finished saying it; I didn't want him to see my blush. I tried to calm down until he came to my side:
"You walk fast, Todoroki-kun," he exclaimed, trying to keep up with me.
"Sorry, Midoriya." I shortened my steps.
"Is there somewhere you would like to go, Todoroki-kun?" He asked, one of his huge smiles on his face; leaving me gasping for air for a moment.
I only managed to shake my head, looking around; the truth, there were not so many stores that I might be interested in visiting.
"So…" Midoriya reached up to scratch the back of his neck. "Can we go to the comic book store?"
"Yes," I whispered, almost in a breath. "It was impossible for me to think that there would be something that he did not already have."
We climbed the stairs to the third floor and crossed the hall that separated the "youth" store section from the food court. "Maybe we could eat in a bit… They have a delicious soba here," I thought, following Midoriya to the door of the comic shop.
He opened it and held it, making room for me to pass. "I hadn't been in for months, at least before starting classes." The clerk recognized him and offered an All Might figurine that had arrived a couple of days ago. I tried to not get too close but, from my point of view, Midoriya seemed to explode with happiness. There was no need to wait much longer for him to accept the product, pay for it, and store it in his vibrant yellow backpack.
I saw that he was saying goodbye to the guy and I turned around, giving my back to him so that he would not realize that I had been watching him since we entered. In front of me were three figures that I would have preferred not to recognize... Endeavor, of different sizes and with their usual pose. "Ugh, why?" I thought, static, waiting for Midoriya to say something or come to my side.
"Todoroki-kun," I felt his arm brush my shirt, "what are you checking?"
"Nothing," I replied, taking a deep breath. "Are you done?"
"Yes!" He yelled, too excited for my liking. "Do you want to go eat ice cream, Todoroki-kun?"
I stopped short under the door frame. "Friends do that, right?" I thought, drawing strength from the deepest place within me to nod and remember how to walk. There was doubt on his face but he didn't say anything, he just followed me to the ice cream shop.
We got to the food court and it was bursting with people. We had to pass between so many children running and some ladies gossiping about one of their neighbors; it's been a long time since I had to ask permission so many times to walk the less than hundred meters that separated us from the ice cream shop.
"Which ice cream flavor do you want, Todoroki-kun?" Midoriya asked, a few seconds after arriving in front of the refrigerator. "The lemon and tangerine one is new, I think I'll try that one."
"Yes." I didn't understand how he could make up his mind so quickly on something like this. "I don't know, uhm, guava?"
"That one is delicious, Todoroki-kun," he said, rejoicing. "You will like it."
We ordered our cones and paid for them before starting to look for an empty table but it was impossible; they were all taken. "The bad thing about summer is just this… Midoriya was right when he thought that we could go up to the terrace of the mall, there were not many people there so we easily got an empty bench."
We sat down and he offered me some of his ice cream. If I tell the truth, the mixture of yellow and orange between the white base looked interesting, but I didn't dare to try it until I had his spoon a few inches of my mouth, urging me to open my lips and discover the acid mixture of flavors that he it gave me...
Shouto immediately returned to reality. He associated the taste of Izuku's ice cream with what he recognized every time he kissed him and, without thinking about the possible consequences; he approached the boy he had lying on the side. He slowly caressed his mouth with his lips, discovering that he was not wrong: Izuku did taste like tangerine.
He wondered, parting with his boyfriend, if he too would have a distinctive flavor. The need to know was increasing exponentially so he did not wait long to ask him right after he felt the boy move in his arms:
"Izuku... My lips taste like guava?" He questioned, watching the boy rub his eyes.
"Todoroki, uhm," He tried to stretch before answering. "Yes?"
"Okay." He hugged his boyfriend once more. "You can keep sleeping now."
"No," Midoriya whispered, snuggling against his body, "but I do want to stay like this."
"It's okay." Shouto hadn't noticed the faint glow his cheeks reflected with the movement. "The sparkles, Izuku."
"Oh!" He exclaimed, pulling away immediately, leaping out of bed. "Your whole bed should be full of glitter."
"That can get cleaned up later," Shouto said, uncovering himself.
"I'm sorry, Todoroki-kun!" He said, bowing.
"Don't worry," he came to his side in a second, "and we left the formalities long ago, Izuku."
"It didn't occur to me to think of that." Midoriya's eyes were wide, staring at the bed; his sheet and blanket were completely full of little colored glitters. "I just thought it would be a cute touch, sorry."
"It is a cute touch…" Shouto took him by the chin, pulling him closer, "and erotic."
He could feel Midoriya moving around in his arms, nervous, surely unsettled by what he had whispered to him. "I had to tell this to him right now?" He thought, giving himself an imaginary face palm. Todoroki decided that if he had started it, he would have to finish it, besides, the clock on his table said it was almost six in the morning and Sunday; no one would be keeping an eye on them at that time.
"May l?" He asked, lifting his face, leaving him separated from Izuku by next to nothing.
"Mhm," Midoriya muttered, nodding and instinctively biting his lower lip.
And he kissed him; a kiss sweet as honey and soft as cotton. A kiss that activates all the nerves of the body and make you feel small currents under the skin. A touch followed the kiss. Todoroki lowered his fingers from Midoriya's chin to his neck and began to draw small circles under his ear; in the place where he had accidentally discovered that he was able to unleash his boyfriend's inner needs.
Izuku bit his lip as he felt Shouto's hand on his delicate skin. Yes, it might seem that Todoroki was taking advantage of that action, but the truth is, he did it so that his boyfriend would reach the same level as him; Shouto always got excited much faster than Midoriya and that is why he resorted to those tricks when necessary.
They were next to the bed so Todoroki only had to take two steps to sit on the mattress and pull Izuku towards him, making Midoriya sit on his thighs. "His cheeks are completely red," he thought, kissing them, activating his nerve endings more intensely with each kiss.
He brushed his nose as he moved from the right cheekbone to the left. His wide green eyes made him sigh before continuing on his way to the moles that covered his skin, placing soft kisses on each one; melting with love in the process. "He's so handsome," he thought, pressing his face with both hands and touching Izuku's mouth with his lips.
One of the hands of his boyfriend slipped inside his shirt, re-creating the sensation he had when he woke up. "Why are his hands so cold?" He took him by the wrists, more instinctively than consciously, and laced his fingers with his; he adored the sense of calm that washed over him.
He brought his hands towards his shoulders, letting his boyfriend's arms rest on them, and released his hands to move his to Midoriya's lower back, pulling him even closer. He immediately felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up; Midoriya had started nibbling the gap between his neck and his shoulder.
A current running through his spine made him sigh and froze after leaving soft marks with his fingers on his smooth skin; just breathing, trying to calm down. He leaned back, laying down over the unmade sheets that half covered the bed, feeling some of the weight of his boyfriend straddling him. Shouto opened his eyes again, delighting in the intense green that saw in front of him; leaving him speechless for an instant.
It was a matter of seconds. The screams coming from the hallway, the door slamming open and Bakugou staring at them wide-opened eyes as he entered; he seemed to be deciding whether he would leave them or follow what he had come to do. As expected, he had quickly separated Midoriya from him. He saw Bakugou pull the collar of his boyfriend's shirt against the nearest wall and press one of his sweaty hands over his chest.
"Look nerd… Ugh, Deku!" He exclaimed, blowing air through his nose like a bull. "Why did you leave a stupid box of chocolates with my name on it in the fridge?"
"Kacchan…" From where Shouto was sitting he could see Midoriya trembling slightly, "to congratulate you on having passed the remedial ex…"
"Of course I was going to pass it, you idiot!" It looked like Bakugou would blow him up at any moment. "Worry about your guy there and leave me alone."
"How did he know we're dating if we haven't told anyone? Maybe Izuku mentioned something to him… I don't know."
"Kachan, but…" he murmured, ready to protest Bakugou's lack of tact.
"No but," he said, releasing him with one simple movement, causing Midoriya to almost fall to the ground, "I don't need your nonsense."
"We are friends, Kacchan." It was more than obvious that Izuku just wanted to calm him down and get away.
"Worry about half and half and that's it," he snapped, turning towards Todoroki, still sitting on the edge of the bed; he had learned the hard way that he shouldn't mess around when these two were together. "And you," he yelled, stepping in front of him, "keep it under control."
He left them alone as quick as he arrived. Shouto could feel the tension in the environment and he wished he could make it disappear when he noticed the wet cheeks of his boyfriend. He approached him right away, letting Izuku hug him like every time he saw him cry; he couldn't bear to see him in that state but he also didn't know how to make Midoriya not to be so sensitive.
He let him lean completely on his chest, hiding his face in the empty space where he was biting before, and squeeze him so tight with his arms that he was sure he would stop breathing at any moment. He had come to understand that the best thing he could do in this situation was to let him cry on his shoulder and hug him silently, rubbing his back with his left hand until he calmed down.
Bakugou was a very big force for Izuku. They had so many moments together that it was impossible to believe that one day the two of them would part away, he could not imagine a future where they would not work together against any villain that appeared. He also did not want to figure a moment where he would not accompany them; they would be invincible if it was true.
But the present was all Shouto could have at the moment, so he concentrated on calming Izuku, spreading weak waves of heat over his shirt, relaxing him until his eyes stopped producing tears and he stopped sniffing to the ground.
He gave him a short kiss on the forehead when he felt him begin to breathe evenly and was aware of the wet shoulder of his hero suit. A soft "thank you" reached his ear, so low that it could have been his imagination, but no, Izuku always spoke very slowly when he finished crying.
Shouto closed his eyes, still sitting on the floor, better accommodating his back against the wall and hugging his boyfriend tightly; that had already stopped taking his breath away and now simply enjoyed the calm that was beginning to flood the room.
He didn't know if the time they spent in the same position was a lot or little; not that he cared much. He felt the boy move in his arms, again, trying to break free and plant a sweet kiss on his right cheek with another "thanks" whispered almost in complete silence.
"What did I do to deserve this?" He thought, watching his boyfriend raptly. His eyes, still glassy, stared back at him. His cheeks flushed, giving him that angelic look that he liked so much and intensifying the presence of freckles adorning his skin. He brought a hand up to his face, wiping away the few tears that remained and letting out the air that he held since Izuku thrown himself into his arms.
"Are you okay?" He mumbled, wiping away the last tear he could see.
"Y-yeah, I'm better now," he replied, curling the corners of his mouth.
"I'm glad Izuku." Shouto kept his baseline expression but Izuku could see the soft glow that illuminated his eyes.
They held each other for a while longer, wishing that time would stop and the moment would become infinite; comforting each other. Without knowing why, and without wanting to find out for the moment, simply enjoying the company and affection that they professed in almost complete silence. There were only the synchronized beats of their hearts and their breaths while they inhale and exhale simultaneously.
"I adore him very much… I can't believe I'm really living this dream."
And this is all!
