Year; around 820s

As a child, Levi didn't trust anyone to be alone with either himself or his sick mother. For days Levi tried to earn money so he could save up to pay for her medicine.

He started to feel useless as the money he's trying to earn wasn't enough. He cried himself to sleep each night and tried again in the mornings.

Today, it was different. When Levi had woken up, there was a sharp knock on the door causing Levi to freeze with fear.

"C-come In!" A man with a suit, tie and a hat walked in with a woman beside him, both adults stared at his mother with concern.

"Anastasia. Do you think the Yeagers would be able to cure her sickness?" The woman scoffed at the man, who was beside her looking at his sister and the boy sitting next to her. Staring at them with determination and scared of what they would do to him.

"I'll have you know that Grisha was the one who had saved us from the plague. So yes. He would be the safest and cheapest option. At least he doesn't make his job expensive like the others. Anyway, we need to leave with her now so that we can make it time." The man nodded knowing this would be the best option for his sister. He looked at his nephew with concern.

"Would Morgan and her husband mind if I drop Levi at their home so that Kuchel would feel safe knowing that we put her son first instead of leaving him behind? I know Lyra is bringing her daughter to spend time with both Levi and Erwin. I just hope young Amelia isn't there. I have no idea what her parents did to her to make her so ….. ugh…" he turned to Levi.

"Levi, there will be a few children at this house that will make you feel uncomfortable. I feel bad for asking this but do you have friends here that you would like to invite or join us too. Do you know if their parents would allow them to go" Levi looked at his uncle with a pleading look in his eyes.

"I do have lots of friends here that I would miss but not miss because they were ignorant bullies." Levi grumbled before shaking his head and began to speak again.

"I have friends that wished to go to the surface but they were afraid to leave in case they were beaten and taken back here for punishment. Each of my friends had lost both their families so I'm the only one they had considered family. If I could bring them to have new families then I feel much better." Anastasia's shoulders shook with silent tears as his uncle stared at him with a proud look in his eyes.

"Go and get them, watch your back. Don't let anyone get to you because you're alone. Lie your way through your teeth if you were trapped by a stranger. Make sure you don't leave until you get every one of your friends. Got it Levi." Levi nodded as he rushed out of the house, leaving both adults with his sick sister.

"I know Ana, it's cruel but he will need them now just in case we were too late." Anastasia rested a hand on her friend's shoulder as he gazed at the door where his nephew had left.

"He's just like her, isn't he" he nodded with a smile.

"He is, and he'll be handsome too since he has taken great care of himself. But I'll be teaching him workouts to do every day and night before bed." The woman nodded, Levi arrived out of breath and tears in his eyes.

"Levi?" The child cried as he rushed into his uncle's arms.

"They took most of the children. They took them... I had to hide myself so they wouldn't take me but they took a few of the children that I know. I brought my friends here with the sneaky technique that you had taught me. Can we go now? Before they start looking for us." His uncle picked up his sister, nodding to the woman beside him as he began to walk out of the house.

"Right children. Grab two partners so that you are a group of three, then walk in front of me. Once you are all in front I want you all to catch up with Kenny and his sister Kuchel. Can you all do that?" Receiving the cheers of 'Yes Ma'am' the children had run to catch up with the man who was walking fast.

A few hours later, the adults and the children had reached the surface. Heading towards the Smiths home, the children became excited and exhausted but had a smile on their faces so they wouldn't be questioned about it.

"Ahh, here we are!" The adults showed the children a house that looked like a mansion of some kind. It was big on the outside and small on the inside. Morgan left her home and walked towards them. Two children rushed towards them with big smiles on their faces.

"Hi, I'm Hange Zoe. It's nice to see new children. Are you all cold? Girls, come with me. Time for a change to feel like yourselves. So you can all shine beautifully." Hange waited with a smile, she knew that the way she had spoken was a bit harsh so she held her breath. With a sigh, she nodded to them.

"I'm sorry if my words had insulted all of you." She went back into the house, she was ashamed of herself for blurting that out.

"Um.. is a bath still okay?" Hange turned around to see Levi, blushing red and lowered his gaze. Hange smiled and walked closer to him.

"Normally I would jump on someone I consider a friend with a hug but since you are new and scared at the moment, I thought to ask you for your permission to hug first." Levi nodded with a sigh when she hugged him. Erwin went behind Levi and softly spoke so he wouldn't scare the boy.

"Can I also hug you?" the boy nodded and shrieked in laughter when Erwin held him from behind as he reached over to hold Hange.

Hange brought Levi to the bathroom and started the bath. His eyes widened in awe to see the bubbles in the bath.

Once it was full, Levi had taken off his clothes and went in, sighing with relief and content as he relaxed in the bath.

He laughed when Hange had joined him with Erwin. He knew from that day on, he would take a bath with them now.

The Room

"Awwwww, they had exposed us. Leeeeeviii~" Levi sighed as Hange cuddled up to him and held his arm. Erwin laughed as the children froze, staring at the tv in disbelief.

"Captain Levi… he laughed… he hasn't called Major Hange names…" Connie stared at Sasha with disbelief. Jean and Marco stared at the screen. They blinked in confusion as they thought they were dreaming when it happened.

Armin was the one to break the tension in the room, he chuckled as Mikasa and Eren were talking to Erwin, it was quiet but everyone was able to catch on to Eren's words.

"Don't worry about that, Hange-san. It was normal for Mikasa and I to take baths with each other, it did get a little strange growing up and now it's like we kept missing each other's presence when we were in the cadet corps. We didn't want to be gossiped about and be told off by our instructors." Mikasa nodded, she sighed as she turned to Hange as well.

"It was also due to the trauma that we had faced as kids too. It was the night my parents died. I tried to sleep by myself but every time I close my eyes I feel like I'm back in that house and the men are there. Eren has decided to sleep beside me since then." Connie turned away from the group but Sasha placed a hand on his shoulder, calming him and he turned back to the group.

Mikasa and Eren chuckled softly at their childhood memories while Armin smiled at them. Mikasa spoke up once more but softly this time.

"Carla had been nervous about it but she calmed down when she noticed that we were doing anything harm and Eren was being a brother towards me, protecting me from harm and all that. Can we go back to watching the tv now, please?" After receiving many nods from the others, the tv played again.

The Yeagers Home

"I'm home, darlings." Carla sighed as she stretched her arms before her wife and husband. She knew that Grisha loved them both and needed them for something that he kept secret.

Grisha walked over to Carla and kissed her on the lips and Dina hugged her tightly as she kissed her on the cheeks, Carla sighed as she turned to Grisha.

"Darling, my friend Kenneth requires your help. It's his little sister Kuchel. She became very sick after she had given birth to her son, we only had found her after she left the Surface and began working at the brothel, to make sure the young girls are being treated nicely when she ended up pregnant by one of her clients. Anyway, would I be able to bring her here for her to be treated?" Grisha nodded, much to Carla's delight and Dina's annoyance.

"Dina. She's not looking for a man right now, she isn't interested in dating. She is very sick and she has a son. Her attention would be on her healing and taking care of her little boy." Dina had finally relaxed and held Carla in her arms. She knew that Carla wouldn't do this if she thought the woman would be interested in their husbands, she had a kind soul and knows how to cheer everyone up.

"Okay love. Let's bring her here. Do you think I'll be needed?" Carla nodded.

"We'll be out there helping Grisha as he knows that he might need more hands to do some of the injections and things like that. He'll be doing the hard parts and we'll be cleaning up so that her wounds won't get infected." Dina sighed and hugged Carla tightly in her arms.

The Room

"Eren, you didn't tell us that you had-" Jean froze in mid sentence when he turned to Mikasa and Eren, he saw the horror in both of their eyes as they stared at the woman on the screen. 'What was her name Dina or was it Carla?' Jean thought.

Carla moved from her seat on the couch and hugged Eren, her arm out for Mikasa too. As both of them held onto their mother tightly, their cries broke everyone's heart. The raw pain in their voices as they chanted 'Mum' and 'Carla' over and over.

"It's okay sweetie. I am right here." Levi stared at the small family for the moment before going to the screen and waiting for it to play again, once everyone had calmed down.

The Yeagers

Once the trio had made their decision, there was a knock on the door.

Carla went to open the door and she was greeted by Kenny holding his sister and Carla's childhood friend, Anastasia.

There was a man beside her friend but she shook her head with a pleading look on her face, she turned and blinked with confusion when she had a flash of a light from somewhere, like it had reflected off something.

She took a deep breath when she saw a knife at her friend's back. The man behind her was holding it near her so she would feel the edge of it if she moved.

Carla shared a look with Dina, to her relief. Dina walked over to her and hugged as a sneaky way to know her wife's suspicion. Dina nodded to Carla and with a sigh, Carla walked up to her friend.

"Ana, would you like to go for a walk with me as Dina and Grisha would be busy here, trying to save Kuchels life. I need help with supplies, I know that you are good at finding them." Anastasia realised what Carla was doing and nodded to her.

"Sure, I can go with you." the man behind her growled at Carla.

"Back off. She's not going with you, she'll be heading home with me now." Carla chuckled as she moved forward to the man.

"Remove the dagger or I'll remove your fingers. Every single one." the man laughed at her.

"You, a woman. Would threaten a man to cut off a body part of his that could be used for something else?" the man sneered at her as he stared at her. Kenny moved over to Carla and stared at the man.

"Ahh, Daniel Richards. I thought I had recognised you. You thought that it's smart to threaten a woman that has killed men like you? Carla is known to the nation that she is free to kill anyone who threatens, kidnaps, etc. So do yourself a favor and fuck off." Kenny glared at the man, which caused him to run out the door and not once looked back. The women inside sighed with relief and Kenny placed a hand on Carla's shoulder.

"Raven?" Carla turned to him with a small smile.

"I'm fine. I really do need those supplies though Ana." Each of the adults laughed to themselves but Kuchel who was still asleep.

Few days had passed when they managed to save Kuchel, Carla had left to deliver the news to Kenny and Levi. Dina and Grisha were at home, making sure she was okay.

Zoe Home

Kenny opened the door to reveal a tired Carla, who was leaning against the doorframe taking deep breaths.

"Kuchel made it. She's currently resting but she's alive." Kenny bowed his head, he turned around shouting upstairs for Levi. Levi rushed downstairs to find his uncle crying, fearing the worst she whispers to his uncle.

"Uncle Kenny, what's wrong?" Kenny hugged Levi tight in his arms, crying into his nephews shoulder as he let out his emotions.

"Your mum made it. She's going to be okay. We made it in time for her treatment. She's going to be okay" Kenny repeated the words into Levi's ear. Over and over as he continued to cry.

Levi turned to Carla with a hopeful look in his eyes.

"Is Mum okay?" When Carla nodded to him, his eyes filled with tears of joy as he held his uncle to him. Carla left the two boys in the embrace, knowing that they needed a moment.

"You could come round either tomorrow or the day after if you would like to visit Kuchel" Kenny nodded to her, he held Levi in his arms as he had fallen asleep. He quickly took Levi upstairs so he would be comfortable, once he placed Levi in bed he had fallen asleep beside him.

The Room

"I told you that he'll always love you no matter what." Kuchel smiled at her brother, both of them stared at the screen.

"Look at him now. He's grown up and he has your features." they shared a laugh as they gazed at the adult version of the boy that they had cared for as a child.

The Next Day

Carla and Dina arrived at the Smith's home as they were there for Levi, Erwin, Hange and Kenny to go and visit Kuchel.

They were shocked and annoyed when they caught Lyra and Anastasia yelling at Edgar for something to do with their children as Levi was in Kuchel's arms crying silently as he hid his face from them.

Kenny joins in the argument defending the women and the children against Edgar. Carla and Dina went closer to the other adults, they heard Kenny's every word that he yelled at the man.

"How dare you come here to a house that's not even yours and start your shit!" Kenny went closer to his face and continued his rant.

"HANGE WILL NOT GO THROUGH THAT SCHEME OF YOURS. SHE IS AN INDEPENDENT PERSON! I DON'T GIVE A SHIT IF YOU TELL ME THAT SHE IS A CHILD. HANGE LOVES BOTH LEVI AND ERWIN." Edgar rolled his eyes and snorted at Kenny. Kenny continued his shouting.

"SHE WILL NOT MARRY ONE OF THEM. IF SHE IS HAPPY WITH THE TWO OF THEM THEN SHE MARRIES THEM. IT'S NOT UP TO US WHAT SHE DOES FOR HER HAPPINESS!" Lyra joined in the rant as Kenny was trying to calm down.

"HANGE IS BOTH OF THEIR FRIEND AND YOU ARE TRYING TO DESTROY IT. I DEMAND YOU TO LEAVE ERWIN, LEVI AND MY DAUGHTER ALONE. It is up to them what they want to do in the future. I-. Wait a minute… where's Carla and Dina? I thought they were here." Kuchel laughed as she pointed to her two friends standing in the corner, both of them wearing smug smiles.

Waving at the group with innocent smiles until an angry woman walked through the door that was left opened by the Yeager women.

"EDGAR RICHARD SMITH! GET YOUR ARSE HERE NOW!" Morgan stormed up to her husband and dragged him out of the house by his ear, she pulled him near her each step she took while she told him off. Carla and Dina shared a high five with Kuchel as they laughed together, Levi managed to let out a small laugh at the scene.

The Room

"Eren. I love your mothers in this story." Petra smiled at the teen as he hid his face on Hange's shoulder as she watched the screen in awe. She shook her head as she turned to Carla in confusion.

"Wait. They don't mind if Levi, Erwin and I were in a trio relationship?" Carla shook her head but Kuchel had spoken up.

"From watching the scenes now, I don't think it matters who you are with one partner or if your in a multi-partner relationship as long as each and every one of you are happy, then that's all that matters." Kenny nodded at his sister before he joined in.

"I think both here and on the screen, that I used to be in a multi-partner relationship myself but with four other women. I was called many names like womaniser and all that. The women were taunted by the others, saying that they were just my many flings and they don't really matter to me." He sighed as he gazed at the band on his finger.

"Father, he didn't give a shit about us. Our relationships, dreams, anything that is to do with us. He wanted control. He killed my wives, knowing that two of them were pregnant and he threatened Kuchel that if she ends up pregnant, she was to tell him and he would terminate the child. Mother died after she gave birth to Kuchel, so he practically blamed her for Mother's death." Eren turned to Kenny with a sad smile.

"What did Kuchel do after that?" Kenny smirked as he stared at Kuchel.

"She gave him the finger and left home. She packed all her belongings and earned money, she went underground. She started off as helping the homeless, helping the kitchens prepare foods to feed them all. She needed a job badly so that she could be on her feet a lot. She hates sitting down doing absolutely nothing, or she would be cleaning." He bent over and put his hands around his mouth as he whispered.

"That's how your Captain got his cleaning nature from. His mother!" He started to laugh but coughed when Kuchel hit him in the stomach.

"Anyway, I had a job working at a brothel, at first I didn't need to do anything so I helped and healed the younger girls that were there then turned to helping the older ladies. Which they were thankful for." Kuchel sighed as she took a deep breath.

"By the end of the year, I began to enjoy working at the brothel. I met all kinds of men, girls who were curious about these kinds of things. I met Levi's father there. My partners tried to tell me that he was the worst sort of man but I didn't listen, not because they were trying to warn me." Kenny reached for her hand and gave her a squeeze for comfort.

"It was because something had drawn me to him and I wanted to know what it was. Turned out he didn't want anything to do with me. He just wanted the pleasure then ran off with one of the girls in the brothel." she sighed and shook her head then turned to the screen.

"I laughed at the man because of his rudeness and I had lost all my partners, thanks to that arsehole. The only good that had come from all of it was my son." Levi turned red with embarrassment as he hid his face with his hands and groaned.
