We didn't see Zuma last chapter because I decided to put that in a separate chapter. I also didn't reveal much of Stone's plan because that would spoil the entire story anyways. This explains Columbia by having Zuma re-encounter his sister that he once lived with 1 and 1/2 years ago. This is also when things start to get a little crazy (and dark), too.
Disclaimer: Stone, Greg, Marsha, and Oriel belong to HavocHound, not me.
Meanwhile, with Zuma...
Things were not going well for Zuma, either, after being dragged into this entire mess with Stone. First, his family died as if they were crammed into an N1 and its payload on the launchpad, waiting to launch, when an insane psychopath pushed the "Launch" button a little too soon and it blasted to pieces 30 seconds mid-flight. They actually died with a knife in their throats, but that's what he compared it to. Then they re-encountered Stone and the Paw Patrol almost broke up. Orel wasn't much help either, just standing there like a statue below all the stars as the sun sank below the western horizon.
All the suffering, all the pain, all the stress, how in the world can he tolerate all this? No one knows for sure, but anyone who knows his deep, dark past has no idea why, or even how for this matter. No one wants to go through this. Not even Zuma himself wants to re-experience it again.
"Gweg, Shelly, Mawsha," he recalled the names of the loved ones he lost, "I'm so sowwy I couldn't save you, but I'm gonna meet you in the aftewlife."
He tried to walk off the edge of the canyon, where the spiked pit of doom lies below, but he couldn't reach it. He just... can't. Any move he takes beyond a certain line feels like touching a pillow that was fixed in place. An invisible wall blocked a route to certain death, but maybe- just maybe- was he not supposed to die?
A soft piano melody played in the background, where the distant stars hummed a deep but faint chorus, fading away into the vast void of space. He could hear faint footsteps heading towards him, but when he looked at Orel, the wolf vanished, having other things to worry about.
When he realized what was walking up to him, of all things in the world, he saw some bizarre pup looking exactly like him, only female with a lighter fur tone, and with shorter bangs than what he remembered. She had the same pink eyes, but no seashell necklace like she originally had. Strange, yet familiar. Could this hold the key to what is going on around him? Analyzing her expression, she was equally shocked, but had a bit of joy in her.
"H-h- how is this possible?" Zuma yelled for a little, then took a pause, "I-I- I thought you were dead!?" His frantic instincts kicked in and jumped to the assumption that this was fake. He's seen plenty of dead people in Video games pop back to life almost immediately, like in Minecraft and KSP, but never has he seen this. "I swear this is a scheme setup by that big, stupid Doodoo-head as a way to trick me into falling for his traps."
After a few seconds, the akwardness of her facial expression turned into laughter.
"I never thought you were that dumb to jump to that. Every single time Stone tried to design a robot, it never works. That's why he has an entire gang of criminals. Every good supervillain has some sort of army, anyways."
"If you're real, then who are you in the first place?" Zuma realized what he did, then reverted to who the mysterious pup is.
"Don't you know me?" Dumbfounded, she shook off that feeling, then proceeded to answer the question, "Anyways, I'm Shelly, or at least I was, until the Copyright police found me, so I'm going by Columbia to prevent those copyright police guys from actually arresting me, okay?"
"Sure," Zuma answered, but then had a slight discomfort about having to call his sister something different.
"Anyways, I wonder what Stone was up to. Either way, it's not gonna be good." Columbia wondered about Stone, and what he was doing. Conveniently, there was an empty cabin that was in the woods nearby which had a TV where they could catch up with the news, if there weren't any people in there. The 2 walked into a position where they could see the TV, where they saw Channel 7, where Anomalies were discussed all the time. Inside the cabin, there was a cute little girl with her mom, who watched the TV in silence.
"Greetings, this is Channel 7, where we discuss anomalies across the world. Various supervillains have been clashing in Coastal City, presumably over the Monolith. These villains included The Joker, Mr Freeze, The Riddler, Ganondorf, Ridley, Lord Voldemort, Lex Luthor, Sinestro, and various legendary Pokémon including (but not limited to) Kyogre, Kyurem, Xerneas, Yveltal, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Rayquaza, Necrozma, Ho-oh, Lugia, Entai, Raikou, Suicune, various Ultra Beasts, Mewtwo, and fake knockoffs of Groudon, Solgaleo, and Lunala; have all been part of the madness that is tearing Costal City apart... Literally. It's currently unknown how Coastal City will survive, and the Justice League has been having trouble even distracting the villains and pokemon that are fighting over the monolith, let alone defeating them. The live chat below has also been filled with flames from KSP players about NASA not wanting the monolith. Channel 7 out-"
When the report was complete, the mom inside turned off the channel with worry. Zuma could not help but feel sorry for her, but they noticed the pups and closed the window on them before he could reply. The two realized that Coastal City needs their help, but for some reason, Zuma couldn't stop thinking about the PAW Patrol, especially rocky, but for some reason, a bad feeling has developed in both of them. They could clearly understand who else is after the monolith.
"To be honest, I think the person who killed our parents," she stuttered, "Is also after the monolith..."
"You mean Stone?!"
"Yes, that's exactly what I meant," Columbia confirmed her statement, then continued talking, "I wonder if Russia is involved in it?"
Meanwhile, in Russia, a new rocket design was being tested at Baikonur, where safety checks were being confirmed as the rocket was reoriented into launch position. The various scientists and engineers there were concerned about the first stage design, stating that there are too many engines and the turbopump isn't powerful enough. When its first stage ignited, it lifted of the ground shortly, then fell back down on the launchpad, causing a massive explosion that consumed the pad and anyone in the blast radius was incinerated with the faulty launchpad.
"I told you there were too many engines, MISTER!" an upset Kerbal complained to the manufacturer.
"Judging by what I saw on the news a while back, nope," Zuma replied to his sister's question.
With Damian Stone, a young girl was being held captive, with her hands and feet bolted to the ground as she could only watch her mom asphyxiate in the toxic flumes from the fire below her, as Stone walked around, with his knife in the air. Anyone who has witnessed his victims die knows that he has an absurd amount of ideas on how to kill someone, including some completely crazy ideas that no one would think of doing, that you would see in cartoons like Tom and Jerry or Looney Tunes, including blowing up a hole in the floor and watching them fall to their deaths, or bolting them to a railroad track and watch a train run over them.
"Well, well, well. What do we have here? A little girl, sure! Why not kill her, but first I need information on the Monolith at the Tiki Snack Shack. You might be wondering why, but I need it for something important," he blatantly spoke in front of her, with a sharp knife approaching her neck.
"G-g- GET AWAY FROM ME!" She yelled, as she tried to move, but she was bolted in place, preventing her from moving.
"Oh, well, guess you're going bye-bye!" he said as he pulled the knife away. At first, she was happy about being let free, but when she realized that a hole was being cut with a massive saw. When the hole was finished, the ground in the circle started to wobble, then when it got out of control, Gravity took the rest of the work, as she plummeted to her doom. By now, her mom was coughing madly until she passed out and the rope above her snapped, dropping her into the fire below and incinerated her completely.
Did you think what Stone did to them is a little dark? What did I do wrong? Please let me know in the reviews! (The "Warranty Void if X" phrase is from Kerbal Space Program in a lot of the part descriptions) Warranty still Void for Flamers and accusers, though.
