Brightburn
"Annabeth!" Came the first shout in agitation as the front double doors blasted open in black and gold fire. The man from before, with rippling muscles, gold eyes blaring like miniature shockwaves. "Where!" From here the same colored fire blasted from his mouth while black scales rippled from underneath the skin. "Is!" He turned the corner with his large fingertips spiking up and clenching into fists. "My!" He took one step and the ground below him turned to glass. His full body blasting through to the second floor.
In a blink of an eye grey stormy eyes snapped around and witnessed the sight of a 6'9 towering form of muscle. His long slacks covered legs, at the hills, made contact with the ground, his feet tearing into the surface of the second floor highschool.
His roar, inhuman and his eyes, flared with golden fury.
"Boy!?"
His feet realigned, his knees bent for the unnatural force in them pushing him forward and his white button up shirt burned to ashes exposing his chest and a mark of a black sun. A wave of flame coated his arms and back sun mark burned on to his tanned bulky chest.
In the exposure to the sight, the four women broke out into a fearful sweat.
Annabeth of the rest knew all too well what was rushing its way over to them, in all its giant bulky form, steam and black fire rising from the skin, as if it was a part of its muscled body. She knew that the raging man was out of his mind and seeing red for what she called and told him.
She knew and couldn't really hate him. He was always like this.
She gasped and her grey cloudy eyes flashed over to the redhead and her companions. A streak of silver light being left behind while her hands grasped the unresponsive boy's clothing. "Lady Artemis please don't hurt him too much!"
The massive form of Jonathan expanded and his charging form was engulfed in a rose head of black and yellow fire, looking like a controlled meteor increasing
"Then get the boy and go Chase!" The red head shouted and the others followed her lead. Arrows drawn as they all stood in front of Annabeth, blocking the way for the enraged father.
Instead of refuting the small girl, Annabeth gritted her teeth and lifted the young tan boy up. She had to practically drag the boy as she ran away from there on.
Only then hearing a loud breathtaking roar.
Annabeth Chase was in between jobs, and it was a difficult choice to choose. Between this current one, her role as Home Room Teacher and Ancient History studies Teacher kept her very busy. She wanted to scream when she took this job after all the college courses to get a simple license to teach.
Then she smiled at the fond memories.
The struggles with disagreeable timetables and annoying classmates mostly, but all that made up for her current occupation. She enjoyed the kids. Frowned and encouraged the youngsters to do better while still maintaining her professionalism.
But this…?
Her smile had fallen the moment her grey eyes fell on the sleeping, expressionless face of her start student. His clothing was steaming from the voltage he was shocked with but his skin wasn't. He smirked at the boy. He really took after his father and it wasn't just his near identical looks that was for sure.
The ceiling above her exploded forcing Annabeth to flinch and throw herself over Alex in a protective manner.
The smoke picked up from the explosion was forced into an immediate evaporation as the room took on bright red coolers. A moan echoed out and she peeked from her position over Alexander and her eyes widened at the sight of one of Artemis' Huntress'. Her legs were mangled while her upper half was buried into the ground of the classroom she found a small amount of safety in.
A hand emerged from the blaze of red fire and fingers clawed around one of the legs, snapping shut around the leg. The smell of burning flesh and clothing would be taken in the noses of all present.
The red haired girl laid in a crater outside the school in the school's basketball courts. Her bow melted and steam emanating from her unconscious body.
The other two had holes in their chests, arms torn from the rest of them, and pummeled to a charred corpse.
Annabeth wished he was still alive. He could at least tell her it was going to be alright.
The sound of flesh tearing snapped her from her disparaging thoughts and she witnessed the black flame before her and the shadowed image of Johnathan.
The man that only gave his heart to one goddess.
"Where is Thalia!?" The leg in his hand, it belonged to the Huntress she never got the name of and she knew his level of brutality when enraged.
"I…" His burning black and yellow clawed foot stomped the ground and that was beginning to become inhabitable as the desks and walls began to melt. "I… Don't…"
"Where!?"
She gritted her teeth and her mind persevered at the situation at a slower pace. This was why she chose to apply to this school. She needs a thought…
Anything to get her and Alex out of the ire the Dragon now.
"Bring him…" Her heart skipped a beat. And a smile came to her face. She could always trust the Last Olympian if she chose to step in. "Antarctica… she might be going there…"
The leg exploded into blood, the liquid not lasting long from the heat all evaporated. The body of fire opened its shadowy maul and a howl ripped through the air. Lowering its muscled frame, the beast in the form of a man lunged into the air crashing into the ceiling. The tail of Jonathan extended from his viable rear and he vanished going from visible sight, the heat going with him.
Annabeth pushed herself from over Alex and rushed over to the window, catching sight of wings and a tail as it was too far for her to see.
Falling to her knees never felt so good in her life, and she's been through life and death far more times in her known life.
But right now?
Annabeth turned her gaze over to the unharmed boy, still unconscious.
"I need to get you to camp."
But first he needs to wake up.
