Chapter Two: Mysterious World
Sonic was inside a vortex, taking him somewhere he has yet to know. He screams in fear, and then suddenly, he lands on solid ground, not too hard. He landed on fresh green grass, and coughs harshly. He then stands up and brushes off the grass sticking to his fur. He then looks around, and sees that he is in a forest.
"Where am I? This doesn't look like home." Sonic wondered.
He then began to explore around the forest to see if he can find anyone, or anything.
"Hello?!" Sonic called out.
His voice echoed into the sky. But there was no answer. He continued to walk further into the forest, and saw a river. He walked towards the river, which was also outside the forest, and he looked beyond the river.
"Hello?! Is anybody there?! Help me?!" Sonic called.
"I told you this was the wrong way!" someone's voice yelled.
"No you didn't, I told you that!" the other yelled back.
Sonic turned to see where the voice was coming from. When he turned to see, he saw two moles. They were twins. They kept arguing with each other.
"Um, excuse me..." Sonic called.
"You told me it was South!" mole one yelled.
"No I didn't, I told you North!" mole two yelled back.
"Excuse me!" Sonic called again.
"Oh, next thing you'll tell me, I meant to tell you it was East side!" mole one argued.
"No, I would have told you it's West side!" mole two argued back.
"EXCUSE ME!" Sonic yelled loudly, and furiously.
The twins then turned their attention to Sonic, and looked at him.
"Excuse us?! How about excuse you?!" mole one said to him.
"We are in the middle of a situation here, and you decided to stick your nose where it doesn't belong!" mole two answered back.
"Well, look, I'm sorry for yelling, and didn't mean to intrude, but I am just wondering where I am." Sonic explained.
"We're also trying to figure out where we are! We have been wandering around this place for hours, and found nothing!" mole one stated.
"We have been trying to look for this apple tree, and still nothing." mole two mentioned.
"Well, I did see an apple tree in the forest, but I won't tell you where it is, unless you tell me where I am. Like, what is this world I am in, and where am I?" Sonic asked.
"You found an apple tree?!" mole one asked impatiently.
"OK, you win! This world that you are in, is none other than GreenHilltopia!" mole two replied.
Sonic gasped in shock. He never thought this would have been possible.
"GreenHilltopia?!" Sonic asked in surprise.
"Yes, GreenHilltopia." mole one said.
"Why is that a surprise?" mole two asked.
"Back home, this is the world I created for this board game I made." Sonic replied.
"Uh..." mole one wondered.
"I think you may have a screw loose there, bub!" mole two mentioned.
"Sonic. My name is Sonic." Sonic introduced.
"Well, SONIC, we answered your question, where is this apple tree?" mole one asked demandingly.
"Just one more question, please. Is there a village around here?" Sonic asked.
"Well, since you've said PLEASE, there is a village straight down that way. Just keep going straight, and you can't miss it." mole two answered.
"Thank you." Sonic thanked.
"Now, apple tree?!" mole one asked demandingly again.
"OK, OK! Jeez, calm down. It's just over there." Sonic pointed.
"Gosh, well thank you, Sonny, sir!" mole two thanked, as he shook Sonic's hand.
"You're welcome." Sonic replied.
"I told you it was this way!" mole one stated.
"No you didn't!" mole two argued back.
As they both walked their way towards the apple tree, they kept arguing back and forth with "Did not!" and "Did too!". Sonic couldn't help but laugh at those two. Then he turned serious, and began walking into the direction of where the mole twins claimed was where the village was. Sonic wouldn't help but wonder if what the mole twins were saying was true. Sonic found it hard to believe that this world that he was in is named after his board game back home.
"How is this possible? How CAN it be possible? The mole twins say this world that I am in is called GreenHilltopia. That's the name of my board game, but how can something made up by me exist? Am I dreaming, or something?" Sonic wondered.
Sonic thought long and hard at this moment. He still wasn't sure what was going on here. But he shook off, and continued walking towards the village.
"That doesn't matter. There's no way I'm dreaming. I never even got the chance to get to sleep. This whole thing happened when I was awake. I need to see if anyone in the village can help me find a way home. If I don't get home, I fear for Sonette. She's so young, and she doesn't know what to do in the mornings for school." Sonic worried.
Sonic continued to walk along the path he was advised to go. He has been walking for at least ten minutes, until he saw something from afar. He saw a village. Sonic smiled in relief.
"Well, I have to hand it to those twins, they aren't as idiotic as I thought they were. Now I need to reach the village, and get some answers. And if this is for certain GreenHilltopia, and that's the village that I am thinking, that should be the home of where the blacksmith lives. So no time to doddle about here, I need to get to that village, and fast." Sonic stated with determination.
Sonic's new big adventure begins. What will happen once he does reach this village, and what does he want with a blacksmith? Whatever that may be, Sonic was determined to do whatever it takes to get back home.
