Morning light gently poked through the wooden blinds of one of the many rooms within Reach Trauma Care bathing a previously dark room in its warm orange light. Slowly it trickled down the whitewashed walls revealing a landscape portrait of where the emerald and forever fall forest meets with a few mountains as background. It continued to chase the shadow over on to the hospital bed, where a feminine figure occupied its thin sheet and pillow. Gentle curls of scarlet framed a young, lightly tanned face. Eyes moved rapidly behind closed eyelids as her chest rose and fell with each breath. That was until the slivers of light glinted off from a nearby mirror causing the once peaceful face to scrunch up in discomfort, before long the pestering light moved away, and the woman stirred with a hiss. "Ow…" She whimpers in pain as every motion brought up protest with her body. "Where… Where am I?" She asks the white ceiling with a hoarse voice. Seeing that it would not answer her, she gingerly began to push herself up being careful not to agitate whatever injuries she had received.
The smell and atmosphere reminded her of the infirmary back at East Genetics, but the city outside and artwork within her room was completely alien to her. A pang of fear sparked within her gut as she remembered being captured and losing the battle to not fall under the Nova's control as it slowly corrupted her and what remained of her platoon after a surprise photon blast. Within an instant, she slipped out of bed, removed her gown -revealing bandages beneath, and said. "Volt texture, Activate." Before being bathed in the welcoming light of her stigmata. Within a brief second, she was dawned in the East Genetics' school uniform, though her pleated skirt is slightly longer with the hem just reaching above her knees, with a headband keeping her majority of her hair in place with shortened bangs framing her face. An extra accessory was a swordless scabbard secured to her left hip.
Finding, surprisingly, that the door was automated. The redhead slipped out of the room and into a well-lit foyer. Her eyes scanned everything as she wandered down the hall muscles tensed for any contact be it hostile or not coming around the corners. Minutes passed and the only sounds the red head heard was her soft breathing and the distant ringing of a telephone. Thankfully, she was able to quench her thirst, when she slid into the bathroom to get away from a pair of nurses that just finished their shift. But back to the story. About to enter past another set of doors, she quickly pushed herself against the wall, when a gurney holding a pained girl with and was pushed by a group of doctors rushed out from behind said doors. She watched as the group rushed by her. Her focus was more on the injured girl on the bed with an actual cat tail sticking out from beneath her. "Did I just see a tail with that girl?" She thought aloud oblivious to the man standing behind her.
"I'm guessing this is the first time seeing a faunas before. Huh?" A tenor pitched voice caused a yelp and her to involuntarily summon her volt weapon.
"Woah hey!" A man in a white lab coat and dressed in a blue shirt and black slacks yelped in surprise as the razor-sharp edge of a katana came near millimeters from lopping his head off. His hands were in the air in surrender causing the tablet in his hands to clatter to the floor. "Easy, easy now..." He said in a panicked tone but still an air of authority over the situation as if he had control over the situation. "You must be confused but believe me. No harm will come to you."
"How am I sure of this?" The red haired asked the grip on her sword becoming slightly white knuckled. "How sure am I that you're not a Nova in human flesh."
"Because firstly, I have no idea what a Nova is on top of it, I'm the one that treated your wounds when a team of hunters came carrying you into the hospital." Came the man's reply looking directly into her silver eyes. "Look… You were out for almost a week now. You should be hungry by now."
As if to answer the unanswered question, the redhead's stomach growled loudly for them to hear. With a blush that rivalled her hair. Her pestering stomach and thought of food overwrote the idea of getting answers. Growling softly in defeat, she removed her sword from his neck before seething it in the scabbard with a click, he then watched as the seethed weapon disappeared in motes of glass like pieces. "F-fine." She stuttered with cheeks a light pink. "Take me to your food."
The man explosively sighed in relief as he crouched down to pick up his scroll. And look at the now impatient woman that held him briefly hostage at knife point. "Let's go." He said gesturing towards the now closed double doors with the woman nodding and following in step with the man.
At the same time. By the main entrance of Reach trauma care. A man with grey hair and dressed in a green suit and carried a walking stick entered along with team CFVY. They made their way to the front desk, where a mink Faunus was busy on a call. When they came to a stop by desk, the faunas blinked before recognizing the person before her. "Oh… Mr. Ozpin." She greeted with a mistralian bow with the man returning the greeting with a nod of his head.
"Gooday miss." The headmaster started as he looked over his odd-looking spectacles. "I received a call from my students about a woman they've rescued from the emerald forest."
The faunas only hummed in approval. She then ran through the database before picking up the phone and dialing a four-digit number. She then brought it to her human ear hearing it ring before the call was answered. "Doctor Banner? Yes? No… We have guests for our visitor… Yes… Alright." Ozpin and team CFVY listened to the one-sided conversation before she ended the call and look at him.
"Our guest," She started handing the group five lanyards with the word Visitor printed in blue. "Would be at the cafeteria just look for Doctor Banner and a girl dressed in an aquamarine uniform."
Ozpin nodded silently before moving on towards the cafeteria team CFVY following close behind.
Doctor Banner was surprised at the amount of food the silver eyed girl could devour within the hour they were sitting here. Everything from savory pastries to sandwiches was gobbled down by the redhead, now she was in the process of chewing down a large chicken sub which is normally meant to feed a family of four. She seemed to have noticed him staring as she stopped eating and elegantly placed what remained onto the plate before her. "So, what would you like to know?" She asked while licking some mayonnaise off from her fingertips.
"Why don't you tell me who you are?" He started watching her look outside the window watching the children play on the streets. She looked back at him. Her silver eyes flashed a minor light blue. Before she blinks and leans back against her chair. She took a deep breath as was about to tell her story, only she stopped when she noticed by a group of five, one being man with white shaggy hair, dressed in a green suit, and held onto a cane in one hand the other held a mug. The four consisted of two women, one having bunny ears and the being a literal gunner, and the other being a blind boy and a literal monk with a large sword entered the cafeteria. "Who are they?" She asks. He raised an eyebrow and looked over his shoulder when she pointed towards the group as they split off having the teen go to the front to get foot while the man with grey hair walked up to them.
"Hm?" The second brow met the other in surprise. Within a second, he was on his feet an outstretched hand spanning the gap between him and the man with grey hair. "Headmaster Ozpin, what brings you here?" He said in a surprised tone as the man shake his hand.
"Doctor Banner." He returned the greeting. He then looked at the woman munching on a sandwich. "Hm…" She hummed when she felt the man's eyes on her, and she looks up to face him. The man's eyes grew wide in surprise. Looking closer he seemed to stare into her soul. "You have silver eyes." He said dumbfounded. "Tell me… What is your name?"
"It's Gin." She said kindly unconsciously bowing. "Gin Murasame. I'm a first year pandora from Earth." She then finished off her sandwich moaning at its taste. When she saw the two's confused look, she emptied her drink of Schnee cola, and cleared her throat. "I think I should start from the beginning." She started telling her story.
"And that's when I woke up here." Gin finally ended with her story. It lasted to the point where the sun had just reached noon due to her stopping to take a sip from her drink or for her to clarify terms now and then. During the storytelling, the four that went to get something to eat came back to place a tray filled with their favorite food. The gunner had a hamburger and chips, the bunny faunas had a bowl of carrots, the monk had a cheese and ham sandwich and the blindman had chips.
"So," The gunner chipped in with a raised hand. "You came from a world where a woman get implants then is thrown against giant dimensional monsters that you hitched a ride on and ended up here battered and bruised after blowing yourself up."
"Yip." Was her reply with a nod of her head, a childish grin stretched across her lips. "Being a pandora has its benefits." She started sounding excited. "We're faster and stronger than a normal person, able to see and track a speeding bullet. I'm able to survive dismemberment or wounds that would kill a normal person along with capable of breaking the sound barrier at full sprint." She informed nearly bordering on bragging. However, her prideful smile faltered as she lowered her head her fringe covering her face. "At the same time, becoming a pandora comes with its own risks."
"Sorry to imply but what could those risks be?" Asked the Rabbit faunas with a timid voice. Gin made a mushroom cloud motion with her hands mouthing a boom. "Oh…" The group put two and two together and Ozpin asked what the others kept quiet.
"What could cause such and explosion?"
Gin sighed as she unbuttoned her shirt just enough to show her back and shoulders. She then turned to show her back before showing them her back where all of them saw two small grey, hexagonal shaped implants. On closer inspection it seemed to have six trapezoids surrounding a small circle that was in the center. "Those are stigmata, they give me the abilities I told you prior." She told them shadowing her own with her shirt. "The exploding thing, only happens if someone goes berserk, is corrupted by the nova and then goes berserk or is not compatible with the stigmata."
Doctor Banner blinked out of his stunned stupor and made to get his scroll. "Then we should remove them before you go boom." He said only to be stopped by Gin with an outstretched hand and shake of her head.
"That wouldn't help any way." She said somberly as she twirled the rim of her empty teacup. "Removing my stigmata without knowing what you're doing could be fatal for me and I prefer to have them and not need them than rather not have them and need them." She continued with a shrug. Her eyes then trained on Ozpin staring at him with some contempt. "After all, I'm merely an alien in this world I find myself in."
"That's why I came." Was his reply finally as he looked at her and continued. "I have a proposition for you." Gin nodded as she leaned back into her chair waiting to hear what choice she has with the headmaster. "I would give you the opportunity to join my academy with an identity and allowance."
Tempting, she thought mulling over the choice before raising an eyebrow and said. "If I refuse?"
"Then the possibility of being an 'Alien' awaiting for dissection awaits you." Ozpin said seriously an unconscious command caused the four to tense waiting to restrain the pandora. The said pandora mulled over the choices quickly before a nodding at the headmaster.
"Alright." She said excitedly rubbing her hands together. "Where do I sign up?"
