Disclaimer: I do not own Boku no Hero Academia.

Update: Sorry this took a while to come out, my grandfather had suddenly passed away last week. So found myself rather busy with arrangements and other stuff.

I realized I never explained the reason why I chose 1B, I actually really like their Quirks and do think that they are more interesting than 1A. Granted of course this is because canon wise we've seen a lot of 1A so it's more fun to play around with the possibilities of 1B Quirks.

Pairings wise still undecided on future additions, I'll keep suggestions open until later in the story when it starts to matter more. Pony speaking in English will be in italics to differentiate.

Chapter 2: Prove your Worth

"...I'm Quirkless."

"...what?"

"I said... I'm Quirkless."

"...so why are you telling me this?"

"Our promise... to become the number one Hero. I haven't forgotten or given up on it."

"You really are a Deku aren't you?! You don't have a Quirk! How are you going to be a Hero!?"

"I'm not gonna give up on my dream Kacchan!"

"What can you even do without a Quirk?!"

"I... I'll train! Everyday! T-there are plenty of heroes without strong Quirks! I can learn how to fight!"

"Huh?! You think you can match me?! Are you looking down on me Deku?!"

"NO! I think you're amazing! T-that's why... THAT'S WHY I'M GOING TO CATCH UP TO YOU! EVEN WITHOUT A QUIRK!"

"... TCH! You better remember what you said! I'm not gonna go easy on you just because you don't have a Quirk!"

"...Uuuu KACCHAN!"

"H-hey! Don't hug me with your tears and snot Deku! I'll kill you!"

Eyelids fluttered as their owner blinked the sleep from his eyes, the dream of a memory from the past slowly fading away. He still remembered that day, a week after he had been diagnosed as Quirkless at the doctor, that he had decided to inform his childhood friend of his situation.

'I wonder what our relationship would have been if I had not stood up to him... probably a lot worse.'

It has been two days since the night that the Midoriya household had received the acceptance letters from U.A. High, the entire thing still felt like a fever-induced dream. He was in U.A. albeit a student that has yet to start their school year and he also had a Quirk, a really strong one. Rolling out of bed, he checked the time.

'06:00. I guess my body clock has adjusted to the timing I had to awaken at for One For All training... oh well might as well get my routine morning session done.'

Donning a simple exercise attire comprised of a plain tee and running shorts, Izuku made his way out of his room and paused outside the spare room's door. The green-haired teen was still unused to having someone else staying in the household, that someone else being a girl his age at that. Contemplating for a moment, he decided not to bother his new housemate at such an ungodly hour.

'Let Itsu sleep in more, not everybody wakes up at 06:00 to train... wait does that mean I'm the weird one?' Deciding not to dwell on that thought any longer than necessary, he left a short note on the dining table before slipping out the front door.

The morning air was crisp and cooling, the perfect weather to start his run. Performing some light stretches, he broke into a light jog as he made his way down the road. He could see the neighborhood slowly coming to life as the residents started waking up, he waved to the few familiar faces of fellow early risers as he passed them.

Time seemed to pass in a flash as he soon found himself reaching the end of his run, the familiar sight of a familiar beach came into view. Slowing down, Izuku came to a rest just at the edge of the water. Only giving himself a few minutes breather, he immediately got about to completing the rest of his workout.

'A hundred push-ups on the sand.'

'A hundred sit-ups.'

'A hundred squats.'

'A hundred burpees.'

Izuku mechanically went through the various exercises that constituted his morning routine, subconsciously noting that the entire set felt less exhausting than before. He briefly wondered if he should increase the intensity of his work, mentally noting to have a word with his instructors about it.

Springing to his feet upon completing the last of his set of exercises, Izuku took several calming breaths before shifting his feet shoulder-width apart in the sand. Rolling his neck, he slipped into a loose stance with his hands held out in front of him. Once his heartbeat had slowed down significantly, he allowed his body to flow naturally through the motions of the several martial arts that he had picked up over the years.

'Taekwondo.'

'Muay Thai.'

'Karate.'

'Wing Chun.'

These were all styles that he had practiced and drilled nonstop over the years to make up for his lack of Quirk factor, his drive, determination and intelligence pushing him to a competent degree in each art. And now with the addition of One For All...

Believing that nobody would be down at the beach this early on a weekday, Izuku felt the familiar warmth of the hereditary Quirk spread throughout his body. Green sparks danced along the surface of his skin, slowly but surely following the flow of his movements. As he moved through his paces, his mind drifted back to the meeting he had last night with one of his mentor.

Previous Night

"Toshinori-sensei!"

"Midoriya-shounen, I believe congratulations are in order." The skeletal-looking man was none other than Toshinori Yagi, otherwise known as All Might, not that many knew that.

"I can't believe that I managed to clinch first place in the entrance exams!"

"Well I had no doubt about that! Your training combined with my own and the further training to control One For All, I would place my bets on no other student!"

Izuku could not help but flush at the compliment from his idol turned mentor, one of the people that he sought validation from. Some days it still felt surreal that his life-long dream was finally coming to fruition.

"Oh yeah! You didn't tell me that you were going to teach at U.A. High! That was a shock to me, though it makes sense why we're always meeting here. Since your office is located in Tokyo's Minato Ward, Roppongi 6-12-"

"COUGH... I see you still have that habit of mumbling on." The statement caused the young teen to flush in embarrassment again.

"It's... hard to control. I'm trying to get a hold of it but sometimes it feels like my thoughts are flowing faster than my brain can handle."

"Well, that's not necessarily a bad thing... anyway I couldn't tell anyone about my new job posting until the school made it public knowledge. I was supposed to use the job as a cover to look for my successor but since you've taken care of that for me, it's a load off my back and I can focus on teaching!" All Might accidentally transformed into his muscle form in his excitement.

'...but you're not a very good teacher.' Some words were better of unsaid.

"OH MY GOD IS THAT ALL MIGHT?!" Screams were heard from the boardwalk as people started rushing over.

"NOTTO THIS SHITTO AGAIN!" All Might cursed as he turned around and started to dash away. "Come on Midoriya-shounen, we have to get out of here!"

Izuku chuckled as he recalled them having to run several blocks before losing all their pursuers, things were never dull around the number one Pro-Hero that was a fact. Spending several more minutes on his drills, he jumped a little upon hearing clapping coming from behind him.

She appeared to be fairly tall, just a little more than him, with a rather mature physique that was not hidden by her attire of a black sports tank-top and bright yellow running shorts. Her long black hair was tied up into a spiky ponytail with a large strand hanging over the right side of her face, she had onyx eyes and a small smile on her face.

"That was an extremely impressive showcase! I've never seen someone move so fluidly before!"

"A-ah thank you? I've been practicing from a young age." Izuku moved over towards the girl that was currently sporting a worried look.

"My apologies, I hope I have not interrupted your training!"

"No no no, I was already done when I heard your clapping."

"Wonderful! My name is Yaoyorozu Momo, I recently moved into town!" The newly identified Momo stretched out her hand.

"N-nice to meet you..." He hesitantly grasped her hand to shake, before quickly releasing it. 'Hmm her hand is pretty rough despite her appearance...'

His eyes quickly glanced over her exposed arms and legs, noticing the firm definition of the muscles that only people who trained had. Adding that into the natural confidence that seemed to exude from her person, especially a young lady out by herself in the early morning.

"You're here to attend U.A. right?" His assumption was on the dot when a surprised look appeared on her face.

"Indeed, how did you know?"

"Call it an educated guess... I guess I'll be seeing you then! I'm also enrolled into the Hero Course at U.A.!" At this point, the alarm from his wrist watch suddenly went off. "Oh shoot, I gotta go! It was nice talking to you!"

Izuku took off in a quick jog back in the direction of his home, pausing when he heard a sudden shout from behind him.

"Wait! I didn't get your name!"

"Midoriya Izuku! See you!"

Watching the green-haired teen run off into the distance, Momo clenched her fist and looked up into the sky with a smile.

'Yosh! I made my first friend here!' Her thoughts were strangely innocent.

"Mou! Why didn't you wake me up to train with you!" The usually mature Itsuka pouted as she jabbed him in the ribs several times.

"Ow ow ow! Okay, I'm sorry! I'll wake you up from tomorrow onward!"

"Now kids, eat your breakfast before it gets cold."

"Yes mom/auntie..."

The family of two and their guest were seated at the dining table having their breakfast when he was suddenly prodded in the side again, though much more gently this time.

"Mmm?"

"You know cause of how hectic it's been since we've met again, I totally forgot about it... you told me over call that you have a Quirk now right?" Itsuka asked, he could see her eyes shining with curiosity.

Taking a moment to savor the seared mackerel in his mouth, he swallowed carefully before holding up his right arm. Barely a second later, glowing crimson-white lines flickered to life across the skin and sparks of green lightning arced around it.

"I call it Tactile Telekinesis, it seems to be some form of telekinesis Quirk that affects my body only. Allowing me to punch harder, run faster, jump higher and take harder hits." Izuku explained as he let One For All cover his entire frame before switching it off. 'Or at least that's the explanation we thought up... sorry Itsuka.'

"Wow... that's just... wow! And you say you only got it about a year ago?"

"Y-yeah... about ten to eleven months ago. T-that's sorta why I hadn't been able to call you as much, some days I just collapsed on the couch after my training."

"He's really not exaggerating it at all. Sometimes I wonder what kind of training Toshinori-san is putting my baby boy through when I see him carrying my son home after their sessions..." Inko sighed as she recalled all the times her son had come home looking like he had ran an entire marathon through Japan.

"Damn... well it's not like I was just shaking my leg all these years too! Mom kept up with my training and I took part and won in every single martial arts tournament up north! So don't get complacent Izuku!"

"Heh, I'll take you on anytime!" He fired back, his competitive nature burning at the prospect of a challenge.

"Food first, beat each other up later."

"Yes mom/auntie!"

Let it be known that Midoriya Inko was not someone to be messed with.

One Week Later (Sunday)

"Do you have your pencil case?"

"Yes mom/auntie."

"Your pocket tissues?"

"Yes mom/auntie."

"And your books?"

"Yes mom/auntie!"

"What about your-"

"MOM! Relax! We got this..." Izuku interrupted his mother with a pat on the shoulder.

"Sorry, sorry. You know I can't help but..." Inko let out a sigh before smiling brightly at them. "You both look great!"

Both of the teens were dressed in the U.A. High School student uniform, both consisting of a long-sleeve, button up white shirt, a gray jacket with blue-green stripes and a red tie. The male uniform having dark blue-green pants while the female uniform had a skirt of the same color. Izuku hair was as messy as ever while Itsuka had hers up in her usual side ponytail.

"See you later!" The duo called back as they left the apartment.

Their Hero Academia has truly begun.

Only one in three hundred applicants get accepted into U.A. every year, sometimes even fewer than that. The average year at U.A. had about thirty-six students in the Hero Course that were divided into two classes of eighteen each. This year seemed to have a larger intake at forty students, divided into classes of twenty each.

"You know, I'm so glad that we're both in the same class." Itsuka said as the pair walked through the tall and wide corridors of the school.

"Same here, I can't imagine how awkward it would be for me to walk into a class full of strangers..." Izuku replied as he scanned the passing doors for their class number. '1B... 1B... man I hope Katsuki isn't in the same class...'

"Here we are! 1B!"

He was shaken out of his thoughts, looking up, they marveled at the giant door with the '1B' painted onto it in bright paint. He followed behind Itsuka as the door slid open, there were already a few students in the room that had glanced over to look at the newcomers before going back to their conversations.

Seeing his orange-haired friend hesitate at the entrance, Izuku took the lead by moving to the third row seat beside the window that was in front of a gray-haired girl.

"Is this seat taken?" Receiving a shake of the head, he dropped into the seat with Itsuka claiming the empty seat beside him.

They took the time to look around the classroom, noting that it looked like any other regular classroom if you ignored how spacious it was. While they made some casual chitchat, the remainder of their classmates entered the room.

In front of Izuku was a girl with black shoulder-length, bob-shaped hair and a neutral expression on her face. On her right and in front of Itsuka was a short thin girl with honey-brown hair that was cut in a mushroom-shaped bob that covered her eyes. To Itsuka's right was another short girl, this time with wavy blonde hair down to her mid-back, large eyes as well as a pair of tall, lyre-shaped horns on her head.

"Hey! My name is Tokage Setsuna! Looking forward to being your friend for the year ahead!" And that was the girl directly behind Itsuka, seemingly the most lively with a pointed teeth grin that was framed by dark moss-green hair.

"Nice to meet you Tokage-san! I'm Kendo Itsuka, hope we get along!"

Setsuna snorted as she lightly slapped the orange-haired teen on the back, "Please just call me Setsuna, Tokage-san is my dad and I'm way too hot to be that old Hahaha!"

"Then please feel free to address me as Itsuka too."

"Was already planning on it hehe! More importantly..." Setsuna grinned as she leaned over her desk, placing an arm around Itsuka's shoulder before pointing at a surprised-looking green-haired teen. "Who's this absolute cutie you're talking to."

"W-wah?!" Izuku was not prepared for the sudden compliment, his face instantly flushed an unhealthy shade of red.

Itsuka laughed at his plight, having figured out the personality of her new friend when she started cackling at the embarrassed teen.

"That's Midoriya Izuku. Please forgive him, he is unused to making friends, especially of the female kind."

"ITSUKA!" It was somewhere between a shout and a whine, it was the sound of a man betrayed by his closest comrade.

"Oh ho ho I see... what are you then? Sister? You two don't look alike..." Setsuna hummed as she leaned back into her seat, scrutinizing the two.

"Nope, we're childhood friends... technically. I moved out of town a few years back and only recently moved back to attend U.A. after convincing my mom." Itsuka said, giving a shortened version of their friendship.

"...ah the sweet sorrow of young love that was found but quickly ripped apart by fate, only to be reunited yet again at a whim. Fate is truly a fickle mistress..."

The trio blinked before turning to look at the gray-haired girl sitting behind Izuku, for that was where the sudden commentary had come from. Three sets of eyes stared at her, only for her to return their stares with a stoic expression.

"N-no, we're just childhood friends." Izuku stated with a cough, with Itsuka nodding along.

"...ah forgive me. It is just that your situation reminded me of a rather enthralling tale I had just finished reading recently, about a fate-bound couple... oh yes, you may address me as Yanagi Reiko." Somehow her voice had maintained the exact same tone and pitch throughout, it was actually rather impressive to Izuku.

Before they could converse further, their classroom door hissed open and a tall, well-built man walked in.

"ALL RIGHT GUYS AND GIRLS, SETTLE DOWN!"

His powerful voice echoed throughout the room, easily silencing the room and sending all the students scrambling back into their seats. The man had pale gray hair which was spiked upwards with a small tuft over his forehead, his outfit consisted of a dark red skin-tight suit with a very low u-shaped collar. In addition, he had white knee-high boots and thick vambraces over his lower arms along with an orange mask over his eyes.

"Good, you all are quick on the uptake. My name is Kan Sekijiro and I will be your homeroom teacher for the year. You may know me as the Pro-Hero Vlad King so I do not mind if you address me as Kan-sensei, Sekijiro-sensei or Vlad-sensei. Any questions so far?"

A hand belonging to a spiky-haired teen in the first row raised up.

"Is this seating permanent Kan-sensei?"

"Huh? Well I don't really care where you sit as long as you pay attention in class, I'm not gonna make you sit according to your names if that's what you're asking."

"Sweet, that's awesome!"

Another hand raised up, this time it was their female classmate with vine hair.

"Kan-sensei, as it is Sunday and I usually dedicate this day to praying to my lord. Please inform me as to what we will be doing that I had to sacrifice such an important duty..." Her reply caused most of the class to stare at her strangely, even the Pro-Hero hesitated slightly before answering.

"Well if there are no other questions I can move on to... Shiozaki-san's question." Seeing no other hands, Sekijiro nodded before using a large stylus to write on the screen behind him.

"First event of the day is the entrance ceremony that will be hosted by the principal, followed by guidance sessions by our school's official guidance counselor Hound Dog. After those are done, we will be having your Quirk Apprehension Test. For that you will be required to change into your gym uniform, which can be found in the slot under your desks. They should be of the correct fit and size as you had specified in your email after getting accepted."

True enough, they found the cases containing several sets of the gym outfits underneath their desks. As to whether they fit or not, would only be known later when they changed.

"Okay now since we have quite a bit of time left before we have to proceed to the auditorium for the entrance ceremony, let's do some introductions. Name, Quirk and what it does, random fact about yourself. For example, my name is Kan Sekijiro otherwise known as Vlad King, my Quirk is Blood Control and it allows me to freely manipulate my blood after it has left my body. I also own a pet dog." Seeing his class nod in understanding, he pointed at the first student on his right. "All right, from right to left and going from row to row. Stand up when you do your introduction."

"Yo! I'm Awase Yosetsu! My Quirk is Weld, I can fuse any objects together as long as I'm touching them! I fucking love mobile games!"

"Hey, my name is Kaibara Sen. My Quirk is called Gyrate, it allows me to rotate any part of my body at high speed like a drill. My hobby is photography."

"Sup, I'm Kamakiri Togaru! My Quirk is Razor Sharp! I can summon blades from any part of my body! I can't wait to fight all of you HAHAHHA!"

"My time has come... I am Kuroiro Shihai. My Quirk is Black, it allows me to submerge myself back into the darkness from where I came. My indulgence would be squid ink pasta."

"His Quirk allows him to merge his body into anything that is dark in colour, whether naturally or via external circumstances." Vlad helpfully translated seeing the confused faces of his class.

"Ah..."

"Hu hu hu! My Name is Monoma Neito! My wonderful Quirk is called Copy and it can copy any Quirk for five minutes if I come into contact with the owner! How is that?! Isn't my Quirk the best?! HAHAHA?!"

"...moving on."

"Mmm... Kodai Yui. Quirk... Size. I can alter the size of nonliving objects with my touch... I like... silence."

"Ano... my name is... Komori Kinoko... My Quirk name is... Mushroom. I... can release any type of fungus spores from my body... and they fully grow on contact with any surface... I like... fungi research..."

"Oh Lord, please grant your servant the courage to speak... my name is Shiozaki Ibara. My humble Quirk is known as Vines. As you can see, my hair has been blessed to become vines and I can lengthen and manipulate them as I see fit. I enjoy devoting my time to the service of those less fortunate than I."

"Heya everyone, Honenuki Juzo here. Quirk is called Softening, I can soften any nonliving object I touch and I can maneuver through the softened material. Hmm... my hobby is swimming."

"Yes my turn! Heh my name is Tsuburaba Kosei! My Quirk is Solid Air and allows me to solidify any air that I breathe out! I enjoy any ball-based sports!"

Unknown to his classmates, Izuku had been silently but diligently recording down all of his classmates' introductions in a notebook until it finally arrived at his turn. Standing up, he put a smile on his face and bowed slightly.

"My name is Midoriya Izuku. I call my Quirk, Tactile Telekinesis. It allows me to augment my strength and speed. I love Katsudon and my hobby is Quirk research. Please take care of me this year!"

"Nice to meet yall! I'm Kendo Itsuka! My Quirk is called Big Fist and I can increase the size and strength of my hands. My hobby is practicing my martial arts!"

"A-ah M-my name is Po-wait it's the other way Tsunotori Pony desu! My Quirk is Horn Cannon! I-I can shoot my horns and... ano... control my horns. Sorry... I am still... learning Japanese." The horned girl spoke slowly and with an accent, referring to a dictionary in her hand occasionally.

"Heck yeah! My name is Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu! My Quirk is Steel! I can turn my skin into steel to increase my strength and defense! I like manly things!"

'Did his parents not have any creativity...?'

"Pleased to meet you all. My name is Rin Hiryu. My Quirk is called Scales and it allows me to grow strong, durable reptilian scales from my skin. I moved back to Japan from China in elementary school."

"Hmm my parents have bestowed upon me the name of Yanagi Reiko. My Quirk grants me the ability to telekinetically control nearby objects that are similar in weight or lighter than that of an average human, thus it has been granted the designation of Poltergeist. Cliche though it may seem, I enjoy horror as a genre."

"Yo ho everyone! My name is Tokage Setsuna! And my super cool Quirk is called Lizard Tail Splitter! I can split my body into pieces and each piece can move independently through the air, it can also regenerate lost parts at the cost of my stamina! As for what I like... cute guys!" The last part was said with a wink towards her fellow green-haired teen, prompting Izuku to blush again.

"It seems like it is my turn for introductions, very well. My name is Shishida Jurota and my Quirk is aptly named Beast. My Quirk allows me to transform into a larger and more beast-like form, augmenting my strength, speed, durability as well as my sense of hearing and smell. I do very much enjoy taking naps whenever the time does allow for such pleasantries."

"Fukidashi Manga at your service! Yes my head is a speech bubble! My Quirk is Comic! I can materialize onomatopoeia words by speaking them, manifesting the effects of the phenomenon that the sound suggests! I volunteer at a local orphanage on the weekend as I enjoy making kids happy!"

"M-my name is B-Bondo Kojiro... my Quirk is... C-Cemedine. I can s-spray large amounts of a fast-drying glue-like l-liquid from the h-holes in my face... H-hobby... plastic model kits..."

After having gone through the entire class roster, the following events of the day were pretty normal as far as educational systems went. With the exception of the absence of class 1A during the entrance ceremony, something that seemed to tick their own homeroom teacher off.

"Grrr! RIGHT LET'S POSTPONE THE GUIDANCE SESSIONS TO AFTER LUNCH! EVERYONE GO CHANGE INTO YOUR GYM ATTIRE RIGHT NOW!"

"Man, Kan-sensei sure seems riled up huh." Kosei muttered.

"Of course! Those 1A plebs think that they can get a head-start on us this early?! We'll trash their scores anyway! HAHAHAHA!" Neito laughed hysterically while gesturing wildly.

"...is he okay?" Yosetsu asked bluntly.

Several minutes later

Class 1B gathered in front of their teacher in the open field, now dressed in their gym attire.

"Now most of you should be familiar with your middle school standardized gym tests, things like softball throwing, standing long jump and others. For the sake of fairness, this country still insists on prohibiting the usage of Quirks when calculating the average of those records. HOWEVER! That is not the case here! Now a volunteer... Midoriya! You broke the previous record on the U.A. entrance exams, get over here."

Vlad King's declaration caused a wave of excitement to ripple through the gathered students, all of them not privy to this information with the exception of Itsuka. Izuku performed a series of light stretches before jogging over to the designated spot.

"Midoriya, what was your record for the softball throw back in middle school?" Vlad asked as he handed over a generic softball.

"Hmm if I recall... it was seventy-five meters sensei."

"Not bad. This time I want you to utilize your Quirk in the throw, you can use it in anyway you want as long as you don't leave the circle." Here the man paused before leaning in to whisper. "And limit yourself to not breaking any bones."

Izuku gave a small nod to acknowledge the additional requirement, not that he was planning on injuring himself just for a school test in the first place. Moving into a pitching stance, he smiled when he saw his childhood friend giving him a thumbs-up.

'I just need to focus the maximum limit within the pitching hand... I think I can handle 40% without any permanent damage.'

The crowd watched as the wind suddenly picked up as Izuku's arm was engulfed in crimson-white patterns and green arcs of electricity. Shifting his stance, he twisted his torso and flung his arm outwards while shouting out within the confines of his mind.

'SMAAASSSHHHHH!'

"HOLY SHIT!" Several of the students exclaimed as the resulting shock wave and sonic boom knocked them back a few steps, they watched as the ball soared across the field.

"This test serves as to teach us the limits of our Quirks... outstanding score Midoriya!" Vlad King turned his handheld device around to show them the record on the screen.

"1003.5 METERS?!"

"HOLY SHIT DUDE!"

"THAT'S INSANE!"

"NO WONDER HE BROKE THE SCHOOL RECORD!"

Izuku grinned as he made his way back to his cheering classmates, shaking his right arm to get rid of the muscle cramps from using the current limit of his Quirk. Itsuka smacked him on the shoulder, the left one fortunately, with a matching grin.

"Now settle down you brats! We will be doing these tests in pairs, except for the endurance running, so grab a partner and report to me at the first station." Vlad King gave his instructions before walking off.

"You and me?" Itsuka asked.

"Of course! Don't blame me if you lose!" Izuku responded, the pair making their way over to the fifty-meter dash station.

This station was skewed heavily in favor of Izuku as he used his 15% Full Cowl to blitz straight to the finish line while Itsuka had to sprint normally.

"Midoriya 3.2 seconds! Kendo 5.5 seconds!"

The second station was more even, with Itsuka being able to use her Quirk to wrap around the entire grip-strength measurement device and squeeze.

"Kendo 655KG! Midoriya 650KG!"

The third station was the standing long jump, with Izuku using channeling One For All into his legs and Itsuka launching herself by slamming her hands onto the ground.

"Midoriya and Kendo both cleared the pit!"

The fourth station was in Izuku favor again as there was not much that Itsuka could do for the repeated side-steps besides relying on her own body.

"Midoriya 80 cycles! Kendo 60 cycles!"

The fifth station was the softball throw, so only Itsuka had to compete by enlarging her hand and launching the ball across the field.

"Kendo 650.3 meters!"

The sixth station was the seated toe touch that Itsuka had the absolute advantage of just enlarging her hands.

"Kendo perfect score! Midoriya get more flexible!"

The seventh station was the pull-up station, this one was a close match as both of them could use their Quirks. However Izuku still secured the win in the end with Full Cowl boosting his entire body against Big Fist just boosting her arm strength.

"Midoriya 85 pull-ups in one minute! Kendo 80 pull-ups in one minute!"

In the final station for the endurance run, there were no clear winners as their teacher called for them to stop before the last one standing could be decided. Therefore in the end, Izuku managed to secure victory against his friend at a score of five to three stations.

Soon after, Vlad King had dismissed them to shower and then directly to lunch. The Pro-Hero teacher turning the corner to the teacher's lounge building, only to run into All Might.

"Woah All Might, were you watching my class?"

"Hahaha of course Kan! I have a keen interest in Midoriya-shounen's growth after all!"

"I'm not surprised, the kid is a damn powerhouse. Man! I'm so glad I managed to snag him away from Aizawa HAHAHA! My class is gonna wipe the floor with his brats this year!"

"I'm glad to see your confidence in your students! By the way, I hope you do not mind me requesting for some advice before my first class tomorrow. I'm still new to the whole teaching thing you see..."

"Ah of course, it would be my pleasure. Let's discuss it over lunch!"

"Haaaa I can't believe I lost! Just one more station and we would've tied at least." Itsuka pouted as she twirled her pasta around her plate.

"It was close though..." Izuku wisely chose not to inform her that he was not even using half of his possible power.

"Damn right! Watch yourself, I'm so gonna win the next challenge!"

Their conversation was interrupted by a polite cough, they looked over to the source and found four of their classmates standing together holding their food trays. Izuku recognized all four of them, identifying the four as Ibara, Setsuna, Pony and Kinoko.

"Do you mind if we sit together? I would like to know my classmates better." Ibara asked politely.

"Or are we intruding on your lover's conversation?" Setsuna wiggled her eyebrows suggestively, causing the rest of them to flush at the implication while Itsuka just rolled her eyes.

"Ye feel free! The more the merrier as they say!"

As the two childhood friends were seated opposite each other in the middle of the six-person table, they were each flanked by two of their classmates. With Setsuna claiming the seat to Itsuka's right, Kinoko taking the other seat and leaving Ibara to Izuku's left and Pony to his right.

"Man you two are insane, I was watching your little competition and even that left me feeling exhausted." Setsuna initiated the conversation with her usual pointed-teeth grin.

"Indeed. You both show clear devotion towards your training, as much as I do to my religion. It is inspiring." Ibara said before clasping her hands together in prayer for her food.

"Ah... yes I agree! I... I barely managed to get any decent scores..." Kinoko muttered as she sank lower in her seat.

"Yes! It was very fun to watch Izuku and Itsuka compete! Ah!" Pony stumbled over her words before gasping and bowing her head. "Sorry, I meant Midoriya-san and Kendo-san..."

"Relax Tsunotori-san, I understand that you are still learning Japanese. I personally do not mind if you call me Izuku." Needless to say the entire table was stunned when the only male at their table replied to the foreign student in perfect English.

"Izuku when could you speak English?!" Itsuka was surprised.

"Well... I started classes after your family moved since I suddenly had extra time... plus you know... I'm a huge All Might fan." Izuku let out a nervous chuckle as he scratched the back of his head from all the attention being focused on him.

"What wonderful devotion towards your idol. You will surely excel here if you continued as such." Ibara pointed out, getting nods from the rest.

"Sorry... c-could you translate what you said to Tsunotori-san?" Kinoko said in such a soft tone that he almost missed it.

"Oh! I simply told her that it is common to make errors while learning a new language. And that I was fine with her calling me by my first name." Just as he finished his translation, his hands were yanked to the side within the grasp of the horned girl.

"I'm so happy! I did not expect to find someone that spoke English too! This is simply too wonderful!"

"T-Tsunotori-san! I understand your excitement! However your other friends here don't speak English, so please use Japanese as much as you can." Izuku received several vigorous nods in return.

"Not even the first day of school and putting the moves on the foreign girl already, smooth moves there Midoriya~" Setsuna laughed when her teasing caused the boy to flush and vehemently deny said accusations.

"Hey! Yall wouldn't believe the news I just got!"

Looking up from their own conversation, the group noticed that the person who had approached their table was their classmate Fukidashi Manga. The speech bubble that was his head had turned into an exclamation mark, his hand that held his mobile phone was waving it about.

"Yo comicboy! Whatcha got for us?" Setsuna helped voice their unasked question.

"So there was this guy that helped me out during the entrance exam, his name is Shoda Nirengeki. We exchanged numbers to keep in contact, turns out he was accepted into class 1A!"

"Ooh good for him!" Itsuka clapped lightly but Izuku merely cocked an eyebrow.

"That can't be the news you were excited to share right?"

"Oh right right! So their homeroom teacher turns out to be this hard-ass called Aizawa Shouta, he said the man looks like he woke up on the wrong side of the bed and just decided to head to class." As Manga was animatedly explaining the details, nobody noticed Izuku's eyes narrow at the mention of the man. "So turns out their Quirk Apprehension Test had an additional condition... the last placed student would be expelled!"

"WHAT?!" The entire table shouted, eyes wide in disbelief.

"D-did he... actually g-go through with it?" Kinoko asked.

"Hmm my guess is that it had been a ruse to get our fellow hero course-mates to take the test as seriously as possible." Itsuka suggested, getting several hums in agreement but their classmate shook his head.

"It was the truth! At the end of the test, the last placed student was told to pack up his bag and head home! His name was Minoru Mineta or something."

"Woah... that's harsh!" Pony exclaimed.

"Not even the first day and a student is already kicked out? Damn U.A. sure ain't messing around..." Setsuna whistled, frowning at the thought of one of her friends possibly getting expelled.

"I know right! So I did some digging and check it out! This isn't the first time it has happened, last year... He expelled his entire first year class!" The exclamation mark that was Manga's head was bouncing nonstop.

"Ah so that's why his name sounded familiar!" Izuku smacked his fist into his palm in realization, drawing the attention of his classmates at the table.

"Midoriya-san, you are familiar with this sinful educator?" Ibara questioned.

"Not in person no. However I heard about this case while researching past-year U.A. classes, it was kept pretty hush-hush due to the fallout of that decision... half of the class resorted into turning to villainy after getting expelled." His explanation was met with wide-eyed silence.

"Damn... that's pretty extreme." Setsuna let out a sigh.

'And that's not even the worst part...' Izuku kept the thought to himself, remembering the fate of a couple of said students.

"Soooo... their class is going to have nineteen students?" Pony asked, slowly pronouncing each word.

"Not sure about that, last I heard from Shoda-san... it seems like their teacher would be drafting in a temporary student." Manga shrugged before bidding them farewell, making his way to another group to break the news.

The rest of the day was passed in a pretty normal fashion, without any further Quirk-related lessons or tests. After lunch, they were given free-time in class as each student was individually called out to visit Hound Dog for their guidance session. Unknown to his peers, Izuku was already familiar with the beast-type Quirk owner due to his past.

His session with Hound Dog was pretty straight forward, ending in a mere five minutes. Once everyone had finished their session, Vlad King reminded them to check their timetables via the school website before dismissing them for the day.

Bidding each other farewell at the gate, the newly formed clique went their separate ways. Izuku and Itsuka made small talk as they boarded the train home.

"I saw that we have Hero Basic Training tomorrow morning! I'm so excited to finally put my combat skills to use!" Itsuka grinned at the prospect of showing off her hard-earned skills.

"You and me both! I kinda hope we end up going against each other heh..." Izuku grew excited at the chance to spar against his childhood friend.

And soon, their first official day of classes begin.

"I have come to a sudden epiphany."

Several heads paused their conversation to humor the seaweed-haired girl that had spoken up out of the blue, their group having arrived early to class on their first day.

"So what is it?" Pony asked, getting a grin in return.

"Nicknames!"

"Nicknames?" Ibara repeated in confusion.

"Mm! Nicknames!" Setsuna said again.

"...are you gonna elaborate on that?" Itsuka sighed, already forming an understanding of the girl's personality.

"I'm gonna give yall nicknames!"

"I trust that we do not get a say in such a decision and you would proceed with your notion even if we do protest?" Reiko deadpanned but Izuku could see the corner of her mouth twitch.

"You got that right Casper!"

"Ah... she has already begun." Ibara sighed with a shake of her head.

"Shitake! Grass! Carrot! Broccoli! Apples!" Setsuna pointed at Kinoko, Ibara, Itsuka, Izuku and Pony respectively.

"Well... it could be worse." Izuku chuckled as he subconsciously touched his fluffy green hair upon hearing his nickname.

"True, at least she's consistent with the naming." Itsuka shrugged while Pony looked at the apple she was munching on.

"So I guess we'll call you seaweed then?" Izuku pointed out the similarities between her wavy dark green hair and the oceanic plant.

"Sounds good... but I'd rather you call me tonight~" Setsuna finished with a wink, causing everyone to blush at the insinuation and innuendo.

"TOKAGE-SAN! H-HOW IMPROPER!" Ibara cried out in horror, while Izuku, Kinoko and Reiko were too overwhelmed to say anything.

"Setsuna is very... forward." Pony nodded her head in understanding (she did not understand).

"Alright, stop trying to turn Izuku into steamed Broccoli." Itsuka said as she bopped the seaweed-haired girl on the head lightly. Though it seemed their conversation ended in time as the door slid open to reveal the teacher of their first class of the day.

"I AM... COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON! HAHAHA!" All Might laughed as he stiffly strode into the room.

'That was... not normal.' The entire class thought.

"HOLY SHIT! IT'S ALL MIGHT!" Yosetsu shouted.

"LANGUAGE YOUNG-..." All Might paused and flipped open a small notebook. "YOUNG AWASE! INDEED YES! IT IS I, ALL MIGHT!"

"Woah! All Might himself is teaching us at U.A.! That's so manly!" Tetsutetsu pumped his fists in the air excitedly.

"Man I'm so glad I decided to enroll at U.A. this year!" Manga was practically bouncing in his seat in excitement.

"ALRIGHT CALM DOWN YOU LITTLE ZYGOTES! I am indeed teaching at U.A. and will specifically be handling you first-years for your Hero Basic Training classes!"

"All Might-sensei! What will we be doing for these classes?"

"Excellent question young Honenuki! Hero Basic Training is the class that will put you through all sorts of special training to mold you into future Heroes!" All Might flexed in several different poses before coughing lightly. "It also gives the most credits out of all your first year classes."

Izuku could only chuckle at how uncomfortable his secret mentor looked, clearly the man still was not prepared to teach an entire class of students.

"Alright! Enough dallying around, we're burning daylight here! Our activity for this session will be... BATTLE TRAINING! And for that you will need... THESE!" As All Might finished shouting, there were several clicking sounds as several partitions slid out from the wall beside him.

'Are those...?' His excitement must have been obvious, as All Might gave him a discreet wink.

"In accordance with the 'Quirk Registry' and the special request forms you had filled out after being accepted... your Hero Costumes!"

"YEEEEAAAHHHHHHH!" Everyone roared in excitement, quickly scrambling up from their seats to grab their respective case.

"Meet me at Training Ground Beta once you are done changing!"

'My costume finally...' Izuku stared at the case, recalling the time he had sent in the draft for his costume to U.A. Support Department.

Izuku stared at the sketches he had spent the last few hours doing, each sketch had a short paragraph alongside it to elaborate further. This final design was the work of multiple years of hero research as well as his newly acquired abilities, alongside some further input from his mentors.

'All Might said that my costume will be made by the U.A. Support Department instead of a company affiliated with the school. This is so as to reduce the number of people that have my personal details...' He realized how big a secret he was currently holding on to.

"...Izuku?" A voice knocked him out of his thoughts.

"Mom?" He noticed the petite form of his mother standing at the doorway of his room, her hands nervously moving over each other.

"Well... I was wondering if you needed any help with your costume?"

"Oh... no I think I'm about done. I'll scan a copy and send it to the school in a bit."

Inko seemed to deflate a bit at that, "A-ah I see..."

"...Mom? Is there something wrong?"

"No no! I mean..." She paused, taking a deep breath and squeezed her eyes close. "I had a dream... I remembered back when you were diagnosed... Quirkless. I... I said something so awful to you. Something I've always regretted when I look back on that day."

'I'm sorry Izuku. I'm so sorry!'

He remembered that day clearly. It was a brutal wake-up call for himself.

"Back then... I just gave up on you... on your dream. I should have supported you... like a real mother would have done. Yet you never quit... you trained and researched and... and... you kept on chasing your dreams." Inko sobbed as she held herself.

Before he realized it, he was already halfway across the room and took his crying mother into his arms. He felt her tighten her hold around him as he pondered upon the sudden confession.

"Mom... I won't lie and say that it was fine. For a few days after that day... I thought to myself... why was I born this way? Is this why dad left? Why didn't you believe in me... would you leave me too? Was I really a Deku?"

"Izuku... I would NEVER leave you! You're my baby boy! And Hisashi..."

"I don't want to talk about that man... but yes I figured out you were grieving for me too. So I told myself I had to be stronger, for both of us. I... part of my still resents what you said that day... but I know you were just concerned for me in your own way. So from here on... I want to show you... and the world... the kind of hero I can be!"

Inko stopped her outpouring of tears to give him a bright smile.

"I'll be watching Izuku... and I'll be cheering you on with everything I've got."

His other classmates had already left the changing room as he started slipping on his costume, he found that everything was done to the exact measurements he had requested. Clipping the final piece into place, he took a look at himself in the mirror.

A form-fitting, dark-green jumpsuit with black markings along the edges of it. He had dark-gray shoulder pads, arm guards and sheen guards that were made of a strong metal alloy. His gloves and boots were black in color, with his boots having iron soles added on to increase their durability and power. Rounding up his costume was a dark-gray utility belt and a diamond-shaped metal respirator with eight holes that covered the lower half of his face.

Deciding to leave the hood of his costume off for now, he quickly jogged out to meet the rest of his classmates and observe their costumes. He noticed that he was the last one to arrive, with the rest of his class gathered in front of All Might.

"Looking good is an essential part of being a Hero too! Look alive now ladies and gentlemen! From today onward... you're all Heroes!"

"Woah Broccoli... I might have to change your nickname to Wasabi cause you're making me hot and bothered right now..." Setsuna whistled in appreciation as Izuku approached the group.

"Setsuna..." Itsuka bonked the girl on the head again, though she could not fault her much. The orange-head noticed that the rest of the females in the group were definitely giving her childhood friend a look-over, the way the jumpsuit conformed to his muscular frame. 'Was Zuku always this... ripped?'

"A-ah my mentor mentioned that being a Hero is dangerous work and we would have to operate in many unknown situations and locations. So having less loose parts on the costume would be a good thing, also having a tight-fitting costume means giving villains less opportunity to grasp onto you in battle and..." His ramblings were stopped when Itsuka flicked him on the forehead.

"Relax... how about you check out our Hero costumes instead!" She said with a grin, hands on her hips.

It turns out that it did not help much as Izuku felt his face heating up as he looked over the costumes of his female friends. They ranged from sexy to beautiful to cute, he could already feel his brain starting to shut down.

'Think Izuku think, what would All Might do in a situation like this...' Taking a deep breath to calm his nerves, he smiled at them.

"You all look really beautiful and like proper Heroes!"

His comment seemed to work as all of them seemed to blush and became bashful after such an earnest and honest statement.

"All right! Shall we begin you zygotes!? It's time for Battle Training!"

"Excuse me All Might-sensei, I believe this was the training ground used in our entrance examinations. Will we be practicing fighting in an urban-like setting against robots again?" Jurota asked with his arm raised, his costume seemed to be a regular pair of pants, boots and stylish goggles.

"Good observation young Shishida! However we will be doing something different... Indoor Anti-personnel Battle Training! Villain battles are most commonly seen outdoors but statistically speaking, there are actually an equal amount of fights that occur indoors."

"Stuff like confinement, house arrests, black market deals..." Izuku muttered.

"Right young Midoriya! In a society filled with Heroes and Quirks, those villains who are intelligent would lurk indoors! So now you will be split into two types of teams, Villains and Heroes! It will be a two-on-two indoor battle scenario!"

"What would constitute a victory?" Sen asked.

"What if I accidentally cut off someone's limb?" Togaru released a blade from his palm.

"I heard someone got expelled from 1A, will that happen to us too?" Manga brought up the incident from the day before.

"Yo! How will the teams be decided?!" Yosetsu shouted as he bounced from feet to feet to warm up.

"We're better than 1A right All Might-sensei?! RIGHT?!" Neito laughed as he held his face.

"One at a time! My Quirk isn't super multitasking you know! Now listen up..." Here he paused and took out his small notebook again. "The scenario is this... the villains will be hiding a nuclear bomb in their hideout. The Heroes will have to infiltrate the hideout and take care of the situation! The Heroes have a limited amount of time, fifteen minutes to be exact, to either capture the villains or secure the weapon. The villains must either capture the Heroes or protect the weapon until the time is up."

'A straight forward exercise, something seen often in real life situations. I can think up a few plans but I need to know my partner and opponents first...' Izuku was already running through several simulations in his head.

"Now your teams will be decided with this... drawing lots!"

"Ah makes sense, Pro-Hero's often have to team up with other Heroes from other Agencies on the spot during emergencies. We don't always have the luxury of choosing who we get to work with."

"EXACTLY! Now let's get the ball rolling!"

Teams for 1B

Team A: Midoriya Izuku and Kendo Itsuka

Team B: Honenuki Juzo and Shishida Jurota

Team C: Tokage Setsuna and Tsuburaba Kosei

Team D: Kamakiri Togaru and Kaibara Sen

Team E: Tsunotori Pony and Fukidashi Manga

Team F: Kojiro Bondo and Hiryu Rin

Team G: Kodai Yui and Awase Yosetsu

Team H: Yanagi Reiko and Kuroiro Shihai

Team I: Monoma Neito and Komori Kinoko

Team J: Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu and Shiozaki Ibara

"Huh, must be fate." Izuku said upon seeing who he was partnered up with, said person punching him lightly on the shoulder.

"Guess our long awaited showdown has been postponed." Itsuka remarked before holding out her fist, non-enlarged of course. "Let's do this."

"Right." They bumped fists before turning to face All Might.

"Now that the teams have been decided. Moving on, first teams to proceed are... these two! The Heroes are Team A and the villains will be Team D!" The four mentioned students immediately stepped forward from the crowd, taking a glance at each other.

"HAHAHA Perfect! We get to go up against the top two places in the Quirk test! I can't wait to battle against them!" Togaru laughed as he eyed the other team with a large grin.

"Wow... doesn't he remind you of the Pomeranian?" Itsuka chuckled, causing him to compare his classmate with the explosive blond teen in his mind.

"Katsuki is a lot more... explosive. If you know what I mean." His reply got an amused snort from his partner.

"The villain team will head in first! The timer will start in five minutes, upon which the Hero team may begin their operation. Kaibara-kun, Kamakiri-kun. This is a practical experience, so go all out and adopt a villain-like mind-set! Don't hold back! Of course I will step in if I deem it that things have progressed too far."

With Villain Team D

"So we have to guard this dummy bomb, it seems to be made of paper-mache but seems to be filled with enough weight to resemble that of a real bomb." Sen stated as he looked over the objective.

"Yo Kaibara! Did you happen to be in Midoriya's testing zone for the entrance exam?" Togaru asked as he summoned and withdrew his blades.

"Unfortunately I was not and I assume you are the same. However that means that the other side also have the same advantage we do, the introduction to our Quirks we did. So information wise, it is an even playing field."

"Hah! I don't care about any of that, those two are strong and I wanna fight them! So you can stay here and guard the bomb!" Togaru shouted before walking out of the room, leaving the other male to sigh to himself.

'This isn't going to go well...'

With Hero Team A

"Wow they actually provided us with the blueprints of the building." Itsuka said, looking over the piece of paper that they had gotten from All Might.

"Yeah, information like this is usually easily accessible to Pro-Heroes... Looking at this, it seems like there are five floors. Each floor seems to be segmented like an office layout, plenty of blind corners for an ambush." Izuku hummed as he mentally ran through what he knew about the opponents.

"So what's the plan partner?"

"Huh me?" He looked confused, Itsuka cocked an eyebrow at him.

"Yeah you, you're the expert Quirk analyzer and Hero researcher. I trust your smarts to get us through this."

"Hey don't sell yourself short, you're super smart too. I'm sure whatever plan you come up with would be just as good but since you asked..." Izuku was busy staring at the map, missing the small flush on his friend's face from the compliment.

"Alright just tell me what to do!"

The rest of the students and All Might were gathered in the basement of the target building, it was reinforced to withstand heavy attacks and acted as the monitoring room. There were several screens displayed in front of them, each connected to a different surveillance camera in the building.

"Everyone please watch closely and try to learn something from this first match!" All Might watched as the Hero duo climbed in through one of the second floor windows. 'I may be your mentor young Midoriya, but there shall be no favoritism when it comes to me grading your academic score!'

Izuku was leading the way as the pair sneaked their way through the building, they had made it up to the third floor without encountering any opposition so far. It was to be expected since neither of their opponents' Quirks were suited for scouting or laying traps.

'In fact, all four of us are straight forward combat types...' Izuku thought as they made it to the next staircase that led up to the fourth floor.

"There you are! Fight me Midoriya!" The silence was broken by Togaru's battle cry as he leapt down from the upper floor, blades sliding out from both his palms.

Sparks exploded on contact when he blocked the double strike using his forearm protectors, sparks of One For All danced across his body as he ramped up his Full Cowl to ten percent. Itsuka ducked out of the way as the momentum from the strike pushed both teens pass her.

"Itsuka go! Plan B!"

His partner gave a curt nod before sprinting up the stairs without hesitation, leaving him behind to handle the blade-using teen. Izuku parried another set of blows with his protectors, steadily moving backwards until the pair were about to pass a corridor.

Immediately he sprung into action, a step forward into his opponent's reach, tilting his head slightly to dodge the stab. His foot shot forward and hooked behind the other teen's ankle, tugging slightly to throw him off balance. Using the opening, he latched onto the outstretched arm beside his head and twisted around to throw him down the corridor.

"Bastard!" Togaru screamed, twisting himself around mid-air and landed on his feet.

Izuku did not allow his opponent any time to think, launching himself straight down the corridor with a flying kick. Togaru swung his arm out to intercept with his blade but cursed when he found the blade lodged into the wall, the narrow corridor restricting his freedom of movement. Izuku could not have been more grateful for his iron soles when his classmate roared and a large blade erupted from his chest, the tip slamming into his foot.

The force behind the kick caused the hastily created blade to snap and Togaru stumbled backwards, coughing up blood. Izuku shot forward to press his advantage, slamming a powerful haymaker into his opponent's right cheek. The blow disorientated the blade-user long enough for Izuku to grasp him by the face and slam him onto the ground, knocking the teen unconscious.

'Gotta get to Itsuka...' He planned the next step even as he wrapped the capture tape around his knocked out opponent.

"Kamakiri Togaru captured!" All Might's voice blasted over the hidden speakers, followed shortly by. "Team A objective secured! Hero team wins!"

With Itsuka

After leaving Izuku behind, she immediately made her way towards the room marked on the map. Just as she was approaching the doorway of the marked room, the wall beside her exploded as Sen had smashed through using his Quirk combined with the drill-tips of his costume. Itsuka back-flipped to avoid another swipe from the black-haired teen, both his arms rotating at a high speed thanks to his Quirk.

"Kendo-san, looks like Midoriya-san is with my teammate then."

"I presume you won't surrender peacefully and let us have the bomb?" Itsuka smirked, enlarging her fists to increase their strength and durability against the drills.

"I wouldn't be a very good villain then." Sen chuckled before dashing forward, throwing a flurry of punches against the pair of enlarged fists.

Wincing a bit at the blows, Itsuka pushed forward using her right hand as a shield. Sen cursed when he noticed that he had been pushed back slowly, now standing within the room containing the bomb. He lurched forward when he suddenly found no resistance, his opponent having shrunk her fist back down.

"Sorry about this!" Itsuka shouted, slamming her knee into his chin and sending the boy flying. Wasting no time, she enlarged her right hand and delivered a powerful slap to his airborne body.

"Argh!" Sen cried out as he slammed into the far end of the room.

"Kamakiri Togaru captured!"

"Well looks like Izuku wrapped up things on his end already." She jogged over to the bomb before placing a palm on it.

"Team A objective secured! Hero team wins!"

"Alright while your classmates are making their way down here, can anyone tell me who the MVP of the match is?" All Might looked over his students before pointing at a raised hand. "Yes young Tokage!"

"Well it's a bit hard to tell since the match was a little one sided, but I think it was Midoriya-kun?"

"Hoh and what would be your reasoning for that?"

"We can't really hear anything, but it looked like he was the one who made the plan. He seemed to have predicted Kamakiri going after him, allowing Kendo to go for the bomb. He also lured Kamakiri into an unfavorable environment to use his blades before dealing with him swiftly."

"Indeed! Young Tokage is right! He made the correct decisions in the moment that allowed his team to clinch the victory. It was also luck on their part that young Kamakiri chose to focus on the wrong opponent since his Quirk would have been more advantageous against young Kendo!"

The class nodded as they could see the Big Fist user having problems against the ability to sprout swords from anywhere on his body.

"Midoriya was super manly! He just faced Kamakiri's blades head-on like a real man!" Tetsutetsu shouted with a fist pump.

"True, his reflexes, timing and hand-to-hand skills were all top notch." Juzo added on.

"Kendo did well too, dealing the decisive blow by tricking Kaibara-san by releasing her Quirk." Ibara spoke up for her fellow classmate.

'These kids are too sharp nowadays, I have nothing else to say...' All Might let out an awkward cough as he noticed the two students from Team A walking back into the room. "Ah welcome back! How are the other two?"

"We dropped them off in the medical room in the back, Recovery Girl said that the injuries weren't severe and they should be fine in a bit." Izuku replied, the two of them moving over to stand by their friends.

"Great! Now let us continue on to the next battle! It will be... Team B will be the Heroes and Team I will be the Villains!"

Juzo, Jurota, Kinoko and Neito all stepped out from the group.

"Finally it's my turn to shine hahahaha!" Neito cackled to himself, causing the rest of his classmates to sweat-drop at his eccentricity.

"Good luck Komori." Izuku whispered to the nervous mushroom-Quirk girl, getting a shaky smile in response.

As his classmates moved off into the training ground to begin their match, Izuku stared in excitement at the screens.

'I can't wait to see all my classmates can do in action!'

Okay I felt it was getting a little too long for this chapter so I decided to end it there, even though I wanted to include the entire Battle Trial arc in this chapter. So the rest of Class 1B will have to wait for next chapter~

I will say that I actually enjoy writing character interaction scenes more than battle scenes, especially this early on since at this point, the students are still fresh and I can't make the most out of their Quirks. Oh and Izuku costume is his costume Gamma, with some color differences and without the gauntlets and leg braces, replaced by the forearm and shin protectors.
