Sukuna didn't know long he was bathed in darkness, nor did he know how long he and Yuuji had been apart since they fell to their demise. All he could remember or feel at the moment his soul breathed again was an unfathomable fury that cut him too deeply to be ignored, and the painful twist of the lamenting part of his cursed soul.
He never understood why that was so. The only thing he really understood was that the sheer thought of compassion and cowardice infuriated him. A scorching heat erupted from his body and when he opened his eyes, he awoke to a bloodbath all around him.
It was a fitting welcome.
In front of him was with a white haired monk who looked very familiar. They glanced up to him with frigid sharp eyes that only saw him. The name Uraume came to mind followed by a surge of protectiveness from a well unknown at the pit of his stomach.
He also had the urge to cut off their head for daring to look at them straight in the eye. However, when the monk reached out to touch his face Sukuna grew very still. Their touch felt oddly familiar, it was safe and comfortable despite the chills that ran up their fingertips.
"Welcome back," they said with a sullen voice as they took in Sukuna's new form - a cursed spirit with four arms and eyes, reminiscent of the two broken souls that were fated to live tragic lives.
Uraume bound themselves to his life. A loyal servant that lived to serve and protect him. With nothing but hazy memories of his past, the anger etched in his soul urged Sukuna to rampage throughout Nyukawa-cho.
Everywhere he went, Sukuna massacred men and women without remorse, and defiled women and children mercilessly. He felt a certain chill run down his spine every time they screamed, begging for their life. It was music to his ears. As his name grew to be feared across the land, Ryoumen Sukuna grew even more powerful.
He rose to become the King of Curses that reigned for hundreds of years.
The era of curses didn't have an end in sight until a sorcerer with bluish-black hair and ocean green eyes defeated him after sacrificing his own, and dozens of others' lives.
The great Ryoumen Sukuna finally tasted defeat.
For some reason, his soul wailed at the familiar scene, death at the hands of a shadow sorcerer.
Sukuna once again returned to the darkness, floating all alone in the abyss with nothing but himself and his outrage for company. He was alive yet not at the same time. Sukuna was a curse that existed even in death. His cursed energy was far too powerful to extinguish.
They cut off his fingers, sealed them away, then scattered them across Japan, so that Sukuna may never hurt others again. Foolish and naive thinking really. The seals would eventually lose their power, but Sukuna would continue to persist. He had a debt to pay, and he wasn't done with making humanity suffer.
The next time Sukuna woke up, he was bathed in moonlight, with power coursing through his veins in a body who bore an insulting resemblance to a ghost from his past. His soul ached every time he saw the brats face. Sukuna never understood why. The only thing he did understand was that the boy prevented him from doing the one thing he cared about.
Sukuna was the King of Curses. He existed to kill everything in his path. To pillage and claim what he considered his, and he existed to live forever, tormenting all of humanity who cursed his very existence.
Yuuji Itadori stood in his path. The brat shackled him from greatness despite being a weak and pathetic human; the two things Sukuna hated most. He vowed to make every waking hour of Yuuji's life suffer until the day he can claim this body as his own.
Once he takes over, and the boy finally understands his place in their complicated relationship, Sukuna would not kill him. He would make sure that Yuuji Itadori suffered immortality with him; forced to watch as Sukuna slaughter his friends and family, forced to stomach him raping women and children, and forced to helplessness while he did as he pleased with their body.
This would be his punishment; eternally bound together till the endless void seeks them out. Yuuji would beg for death, and Sukuna would laugh, mercilessly keeping that choice away from the brats hand.
Ryoumen Sukuna was cursed the moment he was born, and he would drag Yuuji down to the depths of hell with him.
