The Lone Wanderer looks at herself in the mirror in a bathroom after finding out that she looks like her teenage self once again. Gwen checks her body to see if anything else changes from her use of the ray gun. So far, the minor scars and bruises she received from her time out in the wasteland are gone, but the biggest spots are still there on her body.
"How could this be possible? This breaks all laws of science and physics?" Gwent thought
Then a knock on the bathroom door "are you done looking at yourself in the mirror because it's getting weird," from the teen girl living in the house.
"Fine," said Gwen
Gwen walks out of the bathroom and sees the girl crossing her arms "took you long enough,"
"Yeah, well, it's not every day you turn younger in a mere minute,"
"Yeah, let's take this conversation to the kitchen,"
"By the way, I didn't catch your name?"
"My name is Sofia," the two walked into the kitchens, and they both sat down at the kitchen table.
"So where am I Sofia?"
"You are in Colorado Spring Colorado,"
"Colorado? I was in Virginia," Gwen thought.
"Now, how did you get into my house,"
"Well, not to sound like a crazy person, but I use a gun that somehow transports me through dimensions. I think?"
Sofia had a blank expression on her face then said, " your right you do sound like a crazy person,"
"Yeah, well, I can't exactly show you the gun without transporting us into some other dimension." Gwen goes to her Pip-boy and undigitized a bottle of Nuka-cola and takes the cap off. She drinks the soda.
"Again, how did you do that? "
"Oh yeah, you see this," Gwen shows her Pip-boy to Sofia "this is the Pip-boy three thousand. It allows me to store weapons, information, clothes, and among other things," Gwen takes another swig of her soda.
"Amazing. Where did you get that?"
"I got it for my ninth birthday with a whole lot of responsibility," Gwen finishes her soda and throws it into a trash can, and sighs.
"Alright, where did you come from?"
"Washington D.C. or what was D.C."
"What do you mean?"
"See where I'm from. I live in a radioactive wasteland full of raiders, mutants, and people fighting for whatever what's left of the world,"
"Yeah, the last time I check, the world is fine for the most part and not radioactive,"
"I know when I look out the window to see that everything doesn't look destroyed and the house I was in looks new and not decayed. That's why I say I'm from another dimension,"
"Yet I still don't believe you,"
"Okay, how about this," Gwen digitize a Deathclaw gauntlet
Sofia looks shocked "what is that?"
"This is a Deathclaw gauntlet from one of the most dangerous creatures in the wasteland now, do you believe me?"
"Kind of,"
"I'll take it," Gwen undigitized the gauntlet "now, is there anything else you could tell me about this world?"
"Yeah, it's full of superheroes and supervillains," Sofia said in nonchalant.
Gwen smiles and laughs for a bit, then said, "alright now you're pulling my leg,"
"I'm not kidding, " Sofia takes her phone out of her pocket. She shows a video of the superhero Superman saving a couple from a falling billboard.
"Of all the worlds I transport into, it has to be the one with superheroes and supervillains, " Gwen thought.
The front door opens, and walking into the kitchen is an African American woman in a blue and white suit, black shoes, and blue earrings.
"Hey, mom, " said Sofia
"Sofia, I thought you would be asleep by now?" then Sofia's mom looks at Gwen "and who is this?"
"Oh, that's Gwen. She is new in town and she's showing me her costume for a comic convention that is coming up and she staying over for the night,"
Sofia's mom smiles "so you made a friend then,?"
"What no, I'm just helping her out, that's all,"
"Sure you are, " Sofia mom turns to Gwen, "nice to meet you, Gwen,"
"You too, Mrs...um?"
"Mrs. Park,"
"Sorry, sometimes I'm bad with remembering last names."
"That's okay, don't stay too late, Sofia, "
"Okay, mom," Sofia mom left the kitchen and heads upstairs, "that was close,"
"Huh, I thought you would have told your mom about the truth?"
Sofia sighs "look, it's obvious if you leave the house, you might cause trouble for yourself. I don't want to feel guilty if anything bad happens to you,"
"Fair enough,"
"I'll let you borrow some of my sleeping clothes for the night and sleep in a sleeping bag,"
"Cool, but what's that about you and friends?"
"I don't want to talk about it. I'm tired too as it is tonight I'm heading to bed,"
Ten minutes later, Gwen wore pink and white pajamas and lay down in a sleeping bag next to Sofia's bed. She thinks about what has happened in the last hour or so.
"So I'm in another world. God has a funny way to put me into some grand adventure that I don't want to get into. I hope things get better from here," Gwen thought as falls asleep.
