Reply to guest reviewers:
Sherin Beulah: Hello dude, nice to talk to you again. I know that you're a KaiHil fan just like me and want their marriage here, but...there's a but (And I know that you'll want to kill me when you discover it in this chapter). As I promised to you, in the next month, the lemon will be on your way. Till then, stay tuned. Thank you so much for reviewing! :D
SamOlive Witch: Hi sweetheart, good to see you again! Hehehe...actually Hilary didn't throw any party coz KaiHil romance always remains secret, mysterious, obscure, etc etc...but TyHil always comes to the light, doesn't it? Anyways, Tyson won't break down again coz he's tasted the real essence of love. You know, my dear, real love is selfless, it does never break, rather, it joins, it fixes. You'll get to see it again in the same chapter. Thank you so much for reviewing (And here, like you were happy for KaiHil, you'll be sorry for them *Devilish glares*)
Serena: Hi dear, nice to meet you again! Here is the next chapter. Thank you so much for reviewing :D
Before starting, let's wish Velox The Dragon Knight aka our dear Cheena a very happy birthday which is on tomorrow! Many many happy returns of the day, my dear. Misty Di loves you to no end and she truly appreciates your hard work and admiration for her own dear OTPs, the way how you're intrigued with them and how you want to read and write them more and more. May everyone in this site be like you. Then again, my Cheena is precious, she's one in a million! That's why, Misty Di loves her even moreeee! *Showers confetti on Cheena*
Warning: Apologies to fellow KaiHil fans. My dear sisters, don't come to beat me after reading this (T_T)
From the same railway station where the navy-haired guy had met the brunette for the last time, he returned to his place, never getting back to the house of his best friend only from the fear to face her father. He couldn't be blamed for this irresponsible move; Hilary herself had told him that she would contact her family soon and explain everything to them in such a manner that they would have to accept her relation with Kai. Only after it, Tyson was relieved, getting back to his own home, with a new zeal and hope as if a new sun had risen in his sky. Now, he wasn't pessimistic at all regarding his life.
Everyday, he would rise before the sun, literally engaged in a fierce competition with the star of daylight. Never had it been his habit but he got himself used to it somewhat forcefully-only for the betterment of his life. He would exercise for an hour, including jogging and yoga. Breathing in the fresh, unpolluted morning air would easily snatch all the dirty away both from his lungs and his heart. His diet became much healthier; he started preferring fruits and vegetables more, avoiding processed foods. Besides, in his office, he started showing his usual vibrant and cheerful nature. Along with dedication and hard work, he used to apply his interest too while accomplishing a task. This time, his fellow employees couldn't bother him as they already started ceasing to exist for the blunette.
He was keeping in touch with grandpa and Hiro too as the latter was ashamed to be so discouraging and mean to his little brother. However, Tyson forgave him and their relation improved eventually. Soon, he was promoted to one of the topmost ranks of BBA. His ex-girlfriend wanted to get back to his life though it couldn't be understood whether she was truly guilty of what she had done to him or she was simply attracted to his fame again. However, the ex world-champ didn't accept her anymore, nor did he have any grudge against her in his heart. Then why?
The reason was: Hilary Tachibana.
Yes, Tyson Granger was completely smitten with her. She was his guiding lamp when he was engulfed in darkness. Now, the sun was present in the sky. Yet, his eyes were searching for only the clay lamp. Where was she? He knew that she was adorned in the lavish, beautiful golden lamp-stand of any castle. He let her be there, imagining how gorgeous and divine she would look on the lap of the gold lamp-case. She was bright, her light had the power of spreading everywhere and it was more than enough for him. In the eyes of the blunette, it was much better to never get than to lose after gaining at least. Holding her holy image in his heart, he used to be inspired to live more and more, just like living a life.
Often, she would appear in front of him, dressed in fluffy white gown and adorning her hair with jasmines. He himself couldn't describe in words how pure and divine she used to look at those times. Expanding her arms, she would swirl, he would gaze at her with admiration, awe and reverence. Soon, she would throw herself in his arms and stare back at his auburn orbs with the same sensations residing in his pupils for her. In the background, the melody of some heavenly song would play and they would dance together, in its rhythm. He wasn't a good dancer. So what? She was there to lead it. They would twirl together, his hands embracing her waist and hers resting on his shoulder. As if they had been ever-youthful, ageless.
I don't have to get you, nor do I have to lose you, Why does even your absence feel like your presence, I don't know.
With you, only my day begins, There come the pleasant clean evenings,
Just because of you, Just because of you,
Every moment when I am breathing, My life gets a new meaning,
Just because of you, Just because of you…
A busy person he was in life, after all. Getting exhuasted with all the work, sometimes, he would sleep on his bed, keeping the laptop open on his lap. Then, she used to come to him. Taking away the laptop, she would turn it off. Getting her touch, his eyes would open; he would smile tiredly at her. Soon, her sight would fill that smile of him with new waves of energy. Or, she would sit by his head, gently pushing her fingers through his navy bangs and giving him a relaxing head massage. When he would sleep on his lap, he himself couldn't say that. In the morning, his eyes could only meet the soft light of pre-sunrise flowing through his window. Then, he would realize that everything was only his imagination.
No, his heart wouldn't break again. Rather, he would sheepishly grin at his own dreams, gently slapping on his own head. Duh, let the pigeon fly freely in the sky. Why have the wish to confine her into a cage, huh?
In my eyes, there are your eyes, In my arms, there are your arms,
There's nothing of mine left inside me, In my talks, there are your talks,
My nights are a gift of yours, Why has everything of mine become yours?
Wherever I go, I meet you, Just because of you, Just because of you,
There is silence in the noise, There is some amount of unconsciousness,
Just because of you, Just because of you…
Together with Kenny, he launched a new type of Beyblade in the market, naming it Hiromi. Light-pink it was, with red stones surrounding the bit-chip. Soon, it became very famous among the kids and Beyblade fans. After the inauguration ceremony of the new Beyblade produced and marketed by BBA, he returned home and wrote on a blank page of his diary, "It's nothing in comparison with you, the light of my life."
A few times, he dreamt of the brunette at nights. There, he was married to her, having a vibrant, energetic and optimistic son named Makoto with her. The xerox copy of the former world-champ got the same cheerful and glowing ruby eyes, inherited from his mom. Seeing them glistening with the zeal of winning a beybattle at any cost, people would say, "His intense eyes remind me of someone I knew back in the day!" Then, Tyson would smile in utter pride. Sometimes, Kai also visited his dreams too, demanding a beybattle just like their younger days. Hilary would hide behind them and giggle, "Nah, you both will change never!"
Though they all were nothing but his dreams, he was living with them, making them the sparkles that would enlighten his life even in the absence of the brunette. There was no crime to do so, was there? .
Like always, after a busy, hectic, yet pleasant and enjoyable day, the navy-haired guy returned to his house. Changing his clothes, he took a long, warm, refreshing shower to wash away all his tiredness. Sauteing some vegetables and preparing a glass of orange juice, he turned on the TV. The repeat telecast of the inauguration ceremony of the new Beyblade was being broadcast on a channel. Gulping the juice and nibbling on the veggies, he was watching it. Sometimes, his eyebrows were getting creased. Sometimes, his lips were being curved into a huge grin. However, he couldn't concentrate on watching as he heard someone ringing his doorbell.
"Who can come this time?" Frowning, he got up and opened the door. Right then, his eyes met a pair of rubies. Familiar they were but not the same which were in his heart. They were glowing from much anger as the male brunette
standing in front of him was fuming. The blunette gulped. What was Hilary's father doing here?
"Where's Hilary?" Clutching the collars of the navy-haired guy, not giving him a chance to speak anything, the male brunette asked, "Where's she?"
Now, Tyson was more nervous. Didn't Hilary contact her father and tell him everything? Damn, how careless and irresponsible could she be? Yet, Tyson wasn't ready to accept it so soon. He somehow uttered, "Did...didn't you talk to...Hilary, Mr. Tachibana?"
"Had I had, would I have come to your place ever?" Mr. Tachibana gritted his teeth, "Where's she?"
A cold current passed through the spine of the ex world-champ. At the same time, he felt quite annoyed with Hilary. How could the girl who had saved his life once upon a time and brought him back to life again forget this simple thing easily? Besides, he was a bit surprised too. According to Hilary, when she'd been eloping, she'd already been engaged to Kai. Wedding ceremonies usually took place within a month or two months after engagement but four freaking months had passed after the incident, yet, he didn't hear from the brunette. Was everything really okay with her? He was tensed more than Mr. Tachibana now.
"Well, she's on vacation…" Tyson scratched his head, finding no proper answer.
"If she doesn't return to me within the next three days," Mr. Tachibana glared at the former world-champion, "Swearing by God, you'll be doomed, Mr. Granger."
Tyson swallowed again, thanking Almighty that the elder brunette didn't eat him by barbecuing him on burning coals.
Right on the next day, he decided to visit Hilary and Kai. As always, getting up before the sun, he completed his exercise session somehow. Unlike the rest of the days, he couldn't concentrate much as the thoughts of Hilary and his last meeting with her father were hovering around his mind all the time. He called his secretary and informed him that he couldn't come for the next few days because of an urgent task, thus giving him the responsibilities to manage everything. Purchasing a beautiful painting from a gallery and wrapping it up into a cellophane paper, he started for Kai's home.
From the window of the running train, he spent all the time to get his eyes treated with the boundless meadow, bearing one hundred greens, shielded by the sole blue sky, holding the white cotton clouds. A few children were sprinting by the train, announcing an informal race against it. Some were flying the colorful kites in the blue which were trying to surpass the birds gliding there. His heart remained fallen by Hilary's, he heaved a blissful sigh while remembering her joyful face and cheery voice. He'd heard that girls change a lot after getting married. However, his mind wasn't ready to take it so easily. That's why, he was a bit gloomy too. Would Hilary be like others too?
Getting down on the same station where he'd met her for the last time, four months ago, he asked a few people about the location of Hiwatari mansion. After collecting the proper address, he went there. Discovering the gigantic, L-shaped three-storied manor supported by a marble fountain shaped like a phoenix in front of it and the large, verdant garden peeping behind it, his jaw dropped. At the same time, his heart got filled with satisfaction and pride for both of his friends. Till then, he'd used to think that only Kai was lucky. But
this time, he felt that Hilary was no less fortunate too. Smiling brightly, he pressed the doorbell.
Within a few seconds, a butler dressed in white and black opened the door. Seeing the blunette, he asked, frowning a bit, "Excuse me, who are you? Whom do you want?"
Tyson gulped again. Really, the servants of Hiwatari mansion were just like their own master. Sighing, he replied, "Are Mr. and Mrs. Hiwatari here? I want to meet them."
"I'm calling Mr. Hiwatari, please come in and have a seat," The servant spoke, "But I'm sorry, I cannot call Mrs. Hiwatari because she passed away several years ago."
The eyes of the ex world-champ turned bigger than coins. What was he hearing? Hilary...several years ago? Then whom had he met before four months? Then again, shaking his head, Tyson tried to clarify the confusion, "Whom are you talking about?"
"Mamelfa Hiwatari, the wife of Sir Voltaire Hiwatari," The housekeeper replied, "I thought everyone knew about her."
"John, whom are you talking to at this moment? Who has come here?" While saying this, an old man entered the living room. Seeing him, the blunette stood up, recognizing him immediately. He was Voltaire Hiwatari, the grandfather of his friend and ex-teammate. Voltaire identified the dragoon-wielder too. However, his eyes turned bloodshot as he wasn't much pleased at the arrival of the younger.
"What the hell are you doing here, Granger?" He blurted so loudly that the servant present there also trembled.
"I...I…." Tyson wasn't prepared for this reaction of Voltaire at all, "I came to meet Kai and Hilary, Sir. Where are they?"
"Dead!" Voltaire roared, shaking violently, unable to control his anger, "They are no more! One is in the eyes of the world, another is in my eyes!"
"Wh...what?" The blunette gasped as if the ground had been crumbling underneath his feet.
"Yes, you've heard right!" The old man raised his stick and pointed it at the blunette, "If you remain here for one more second, Tyson, I'll be compelled to kick you out of my home! Get lost!"
Tyson remained silent, not able to understand a single word of Kai's grandfather. In order to manage the situation from getting worsened, John whispered to him sympathetically, "Mr. Granger, please leave this place now. Controlling the temper of Sir Voltaire is next to impossible. At this time, he's so enraged that he won't listen to anyone in this world. Please, listen to me, your welfare lies only in that."
Gritting his teeth and fists, the navy-haired guy glared at the old man once and quietly turned back. As he took a few steps, he heard the door slammed closed behind him. Moving his head, he sighed which was the only thing he could do at that moment. Then again, he made his mind-he would search for Hilary and Kai, let the world turn against him.
He was waiting in the local graveyard, capturing the setting sun in his eyes. The star of daylight was exhausted for the day, taking leave from the world very slowly, leaning against the west. The faint crimson-orange rays were drenching the white clouds in their shades. A few birds could be seen, painted in black on the tangerine background, flying back to their nests. The leaves were quivering in the gentle breeze; some were falling on the ground too. A few tombstones were lidded with piles of flowers like a pallet. They all were dry, yet, their fragrance didn't stay silent. It hit his nostrils. Unknowingly, he shuddered, feeling that something was wrong there.
Under the dark-orange sky, his eyes again caught the sight of another woman whose shoulders were wrapped with a black shawl. Chocolate locks were tied into a loose bun, eyes were curved downwards. Carrying a lit candle in her hands, she was slowly plodding towards a grave. There was no sign of life, no vibrance in her movements as if someone had sucked her spirit out of her body and let it go like an alive corpse. Once again, Tyson's eyes shocked themselves horribly as he finally identified the chocolate-haired woman. She was none but Hilary Tachibana, his best friend!
Placing the candle by the marble edge of the tombstone, the brunette was proceeding to return but stopped as she heard the blunette calling her, "Hilary?"
She turned back and spotted Tyson. No, the blunette couldn't spot the same zeal and hope glowing in the ruby eyes of the brunette. Rather, they were dimmed, showing the scarcity of cheerfulness and energy. She literally became one of those dry flowers on the graves, losing a few pounds along with her brightness that had used to radiate from her appearance once upon a time. Dark circles were the regular companions of her eyes. Seeing the navy-haired guy after a long time, she somehow managed to smile though Tyson could say that she was struggling hard to do so. Coming near him at the same speed, she asked, "How're you, Tyson?"
"I'm fine," Tyson frowned, "But...what have you done to yourself? This condition?"
"Me?" Hilary faintly, lifelessly smiled, "I'm also fine, Tyson. Don't worry about me."
"Fine?" Tyson pointed at her, "You call this condition 'Fine'? Then, you must have become a ghost!"
"Really, I'm," The brunette shrugged, "My life was in Kai. Along with him, it is also gone."
For a second, the world stopped spinning for the blunette. Swallowing, he clutched her shoulders, "What...what are you saying, Hils?"
"Couldn't you see the grave?" Hilary pointed at the tombstone where she had placed the candle before a few minutes, "Kai resides there. I also come here to visit him everyday. His entire life was spent in darkness. I try my best so that he doesn't have to do so even after his departure."
Now, Tyson's head was spinning. His feet were throbbing. Anytime, he could kneel down on the ground but he prevented himself from doing so, only for the sake of the brunette. What was he hearing? K...Kai was...just dead? But how? He didn't even get to know it...he'd been simply imagining that Kai and Hilary had been spending their lives together, happy and content with each other. He cursed himself not for communicating with them at least once only to know whether everything was going okay or not. What could he have done? To cherish his new life, he became so busy. Never did he know that something like that would happen.
"Hilary…." His tongue felt heavy, yet, he asked the question somehow, "How...how did it...happen?"
"Sit here," Hilary laid her legs on the ground as Tyson took his position beside her, "And listen to me."
"Okay." Tyson nodded, restless to know.
"Four months ago, when you left me at the station," The heavy-hearted brunette started, "I came to Kai's home. Seeing me, he was very surprised...but happy, nonetheless. He introduced me to his family members. His parents welcomed me cordially but his grandpa didn't seem to like me at all, honestly speaking. From the beginning, he used to taunt me saying many ill things….like I'm only a mere cheerleader, a groupie etc etc...though in the absence of Kai. At times, I felt like to complain against him to Kai but kept patience because Kai told me that he would shift with me after our wedding."
"Then?"
"But…." A weighty, crushing sigh came away, tearing her heart, "Everything was fixed. A week before the wedding, we went to shopping. Returning, I was supposed to call mom and dad. But when we were coming back to home on his bike, it...it collided with a truck. I...I somehow was saved, but...in...in front of my eyes…."
Not able to finish her words, Hilary covered her face behind her palms, burying it amidst her folded knees. Tears automatically gathered in the auburn eyes of the ex-blader, trickling down on his cheeks. The brunette was shedding her tears silently but Tyson could understand it, noticing the throbbing of her shoulders. He felt like hugging her closer to his chest, patting her back and calming her down. Never in this life could he bear this broken, shaken, dimmed sight of the light of his life. His heart shivered; he bit his lips so that his tears could remain inaudible to the ears of the brunette.
'Why, Kai?' He whispered, 'Why did you leave this burning lamp alone on the earth? Now who'll be the fuel to keep her lit forever?'
*Screams* Who, don't you know?
