Sorry, it's been over a month, and it's been a lengthy audition process, but I've found the twenty characters I've wanted to use for the story. Now, I should let you know that the story won't be published for a while. The first season is currently in pre-production, which means I'm currently writing out chapters. The seasons' elimination order, winner and teams have already been finished. I'm still working on the character interactions and challenges for the season. Episodes 1, 2 and 4 have already been completely finished. But I'm not posting them yet. I want a good chunk of the story to be completed before I post it. Basically, the story won't be out until it's ready.
Normally I hate doing chapter updates, but I feel like it was important this time around to let you all know what's been going on with the story, since it's been a month. My new way of writing, where I write many of the chapters first, plan, etc. You know the writing mambo jumbo is why the story will take a while.
If I were to give a rough estimate of when the story will start publishing chapters, I actually wanna say Late May-Early Summer! It's will be posted very soon, I promise, I have a delightful season planned out for you all, and to show some of that off, I have two announcements: The Cast List and the sneak peek of Episode 1:

Now onto the main event... The sneak peak of Episode 1: "The Not So Great Outdoors". This an early, rough draft version of it. Certain details have been edited to avoid spoilers! 1, 2, 3, Go…
SNEAK PEAK:
A handsome guy gazes at the camera as it starts to zoom in on his face. He was tall and had a chiseled chin. Brown hair spiked up and looked almost like pins. He had emerald eyes and tan skin. He was perfect. The twenty-five-year-old was practically manufactured for television. Almost like Hollywood elites created him to create the perfect television host. "Yo! We're coming at you live from Camp Wawanakwa, somewhere in Muskoka, Ontario, I'm your host, Chad Worthington, dropping season one of the soon-to-be the hottest new reality show on television and streaming, right now!" He says standing on a dock located on a deserted island.
The island was beautiful. A lush green forest brimming with wildlife with skies so clear it makes L.A. jealous, surrounded by a crystal clear blue ocean that hasn't been ruined by man yet. It was the perfect island getaway. If it wasn't being filmed on television for a reality show, the island would sound too good to be true for most people.
The man walks down the dock. He was trying his best to not fall into the water. Mostly because he didn't want to get his hair wet. He had hardly gotten it done. "Here's the deal, nineteen campers have signed up to spend thirteen weeks right here at this crummy old summer camp. They'll compete in challenges , then have to face the judgment of their fellow campers. Every three days, one team will either win a reward, or watch one of their team members walk down the Dock of Shame, take a ride on the loser boat, haha, and leave Total Drama Island, for good!"
The man walked over to the campfire pit. Surrounded by three logs, were a bundle of sticks. Chad steps up to one of the logs. He sits down and grabs a bag of marshmallows. "Their fate will be decided here, at the dramatic campfire ceremonies where each week, all, but one camper will receive... a marshmallow." He takes one of the marshmallows and tosses it into his mouth, and starts chewing.
"In the end, only one will be left standing and will be rewarded with cheesy tabloid fame and a small fortune, which let's face it: they'll probably blow in a week. To survive, they'll have to battle…" He narrates as a montage of magazines, and a small clip of a woman walking down the red carpet and signing autographs begins playing.
"Black flies…" Somewhere in the middle of the forest of the island, inside of a bathroom outhouse, a swarm of flies was buzzing above the toilet.
"Grizzly bears," Three Grizzly Bears chase after two interns.
"And, each other! Every moment will be caught on one of the hundreds of cameras situated all over the camp. Who will crumble under the pressure? Find out here right now on... TOTAL... DRAMA... ISLAND!" Chad was now back at the docks with a wide smile on his face and narrating. He was thrilled for the season to begin, but he cared more about the drama that the teenagers would bring to the island.
*Theme Song plays*
Chris: All right, it's time to meet our nineteen campers. And here they are...

"I am of royal descent. I should not be on this boat with these peasants."

"Oh? A king standing in front of me in 2021?! That's cool!"

"Oh well, if you're a king, let me show you the proper respect."
Chase
"So why don't you and me, go into a room and... you know?"
Kylie
"Sorry, but you're not my type. Pig!"
"Ouchie!"

"Looks like someones gonna have blue balls! Ha-ha!"

"And as I look up in the sky, I can see my life fly by."

"Wow, that was so amazing! You're 6talented." "I haven't heard a song that authentic since I was at Bible Camp."
"Ha-ha, thank you!"

"Wanna see a magic trick?"

"Hump."
"I wonder how it will feel to jump off this boat!"

"Isn't that a little dangerous?"

"I-I-I don't think it's that dangerous. This-this-this show has interns who test out the challenges right?"

"What's your name?" I'm Cecelia! What's your favorite color? Birthday? How old are you?

"An enemy approaches! Hiya!"
"Oh my god?!"

"I hope he's okay."

"Hello, I'm Haley! Sorry, I hope I wasn't too annoying?!"

"Annoying? Have you heard that Chad got plastic surgery three years ago?"
The campers got off the boat and met up with the host of the show. They all headed to the campfire pit along with the host. It took a while, because some of the contestants had some weighty luggage, but luckily it wasn't that much of a burden. The two logs were enough to fit all nineteen contestants, so no one had to worry about not having enough room.
"Welcome to Total Drama Island!" Chad introduces the show to the contestants, even though they already knew that. But it was more for the audiences at home, that needed to know that information. He starts pacing back and forth, a silly little thing that he did whenever he talks. "This is Camp Wawanakwa, your home for the next eight weeks. The campers sitting around you will be your cabin mates, your competition, and maybe even your friends, or worse, your lovers, yo."
Again, that was just a sneak peek and things such as certain scenes, dialogue and even the chapter title are subject to change. Hope you all enjoyed it! Let me know what you think ;). Oh! and another thing, this story will have a companion spin off story that takes place in the same universe called Total Drama: High School. You all should check it, as both stories will indeed intertwine with one another.
