Thanks for the response. This will probably be just a short fic, unless I can stretch some more out of it. I am trying to stay away from it being a mission based storyline, but that would give me more chapters, right? Such a dilemma. Thanks for sticking around. Please Review. Mssupertigz
Chapter 2
Sarah looked at Chuck as he looked straight at her with those brown eyes and wondered why she had zoned out there for a bit. It was a big step, a long awaited moment for both of them. With so many close calls from their 'sleep overs,' the shower, and especially the morning in the motel, why hadn't it happened before. Sarah flashed the thought that she was a bit disappointed on all three that they didn't go further. She was so close to being with Chuck. But those times wouldn't have led to this. Chuck gently touched her face making her take a deep breath. Feeling his skin touching hers, she placed her hand on his upper arms and kissed him. She could kiss him, no questions asked or second guesses.
He sat up and looked at her. "Yes!" Sarah looked at him.
"Yes what?" Chuck looked at her.
"You asked me if I could love you; I always have. It's not hard to love you but It wasn't easy. That was one of the reasons that I fell for you."
Sarah smiled. "I love you too and it wasn't because you could defuse a bomb with the internet or fix my phone, or save me a thousand times like you did. "
"No, it was you that saved me, Sarah." Sarah continued to look nervous.
"No it was the other way around, Chuck, it was you that saved me. It was my job to keep you safe. But somehow instead you kept me safe."
Chuck slid his arm around her bare back and slid his hand along her waist band again. He could feel the heat from her body. She kissed him like she kissed him the morning in the hotel. Chuck rolled her onto her back settling in between her legs.
As he slowly removed their last bit of clothing, he looked at her. "Are you sure? Is this going to...".
Sarah silenced his lips with her fingers then wrapped her legs around him nudging him slightly as they became one. That moment, that intense split second their first time was sealed. Chuck slid his fingers into her fingers and clenched them as they moved together. Their bodies moving as one. Chuck cupped her breasts and kissed her chest as she dragged her nails down his back. She continued to cup his backside urging him to continue.
She watched him as he made sure she was taken care off. She knew he'd be a wonderful and caring lover, but there were moments that he looked at her like a nervous teenager. They dwelled further into their love making not wanting it to end.
Sarah took lead the second time around not giving Chuck time to catch his breath from the first round. Something came over her, like she had been unleashed, free. Not to say that their first time wasn't memorable, she was still feeling the effects. But it was that the stress of the 'will they won't they' was finally over. Chuck laid back looking at her and all her beauty and spoke. "Just wondering if there was going to be sleep sometime?"
Sarah pressed her hand into his chest and drew a figure eight. "Do you really want to sleep and miss this?" As she leaned back. Chuck grinned and sat up holding her close. Their lips just inches apart. Chuck braced himself with one hand and held her with the other. He didn't have to work too hard to hold them both of them, as Sarah was already naturally limber.
They crashed into the mattress as the top sheet barely covered them but they didn't care. They held hands and tilted their head so their foreheads could touch. Sarah eventually rolled onto her side and laid her head on his chest. Chuck held her close as sleep finally won over them.
Next morning
Sarah woke up to find him tucked in behind her like he had been once before. She looked at his hands, those hands. She felt him move and as she turned to face him the morning in the motel was just another perfect memory. The real thing, what should have happened was just about to happen as Chuck rolled into her and the two of them kissed frantically and intensely not missing a beat. He sat up slightly taking all of her. She fell back but Chuck held her till she sat up again and faced him. They lost themselves in their kisses, touches and the early morning love making.
Sarah slid head first to the edge of the bed catching her breath. As she felt Chuck kiss the back of her legs then drag his lips up her legs, pressing his lips up and into her spine and settling inside her neck. He hovered over her as she laid face down. His nibbling got the best of her but when he slid his hands around to the front of her to cup her breasts, she rolled over. She faced him keeping him close as he ravished her. She held him close as they laid there.
"Sa-rah."
"No."
"Water?, Coffee?"
"No."
Chuck loved laying on top of her as sexy as she was early in the morning, he couldn't blame her. If they moved then it would be all over. Sarah looked at Chuck which allowed Chuck to roll off of her but still remain close to her. He leaned on his arms to face her as Sarah grabbed a pillow and rested her head. She nervously played with his fingers. "You okay?"
Sarah turned her face to look at him as they were still holding hands. Sarah made a huge sigh. "Very much and you."
"Yeah, I just had the most fantastic experience in my life."
"Three." Sarah answered.
"Three?"
"Well you said that you just had the most fantastic experience in your life, its' actually been three times."
Chuck laughed. "Dully noted. It was beautiful, your beautiful."
Chuck leaned forward and kissed her. He lingered a little longer but Sarah didn't mind.
Sarah got up and headed to the bathroom as Chuck grabbed the pillows and returned them to the head of the bed and leaned back, hoping that Sarah was coming back. Chuck threw the sheet back and reached for his boxers and started to slide his leg inside them when Sarah returned wearing a British t-shirt and carrying a tray with two white mugs. She placed them on the night stand as she took Chuck's boxers and tossed them. Chuck leaned back and grabbed the sheet.
"Coffee?"
"So that's were you went."
"I also found some fruit. I wasn't expecting any visitors so I don't have a wide selection of items to choose from for breakfast."
Sarah passed Chuck a mug. "This is perfect."
"I hope I got your coffee right."
Chuck took a sip. "Perfect and so are you."
Chuck leaned forward and kissed her. Sarah grabbed her mug and sipped hers while holding Chucks hand.
Chuck placed his mug down and waited till Sarah had finished hers then took it from her and pulled her close to him. Sarah straddled him. "Well Mr. Bartowski?"
Chuck smiled. "What do you have in mind?" Sarah looking at him.
Chuck reached for her shirt. "Nice shirt?"
"Sorry, I thought that I had given it back to you. Besides a few items, I don't really have many things of yours or ours."
"Keep it, it looks better on you and I guess we need to make some memories so you have something that is ours."
Sarah wrapped her arms around his neck and held him close.
Sarah slid her cheek across his face meeting his lips, then felt his hands push the shirt up and over her head. He tossed it and kissed her chest making her fall back. Chuck was able to lean forward as Sarah slid her arms under his bringing his whole body up and over hers. The sheet fell allowing them to take it further. It was quick but it enough to scratch that itch.
They showered together and between the kisses, caressing, touching they laughed as their laughter could be heard downstairs. They laughed when Sarah brought up the last time that they were in a shower together.
Chuck grabbed a towel, grabbed his clothes and headed down to the spare room to change. He came out and helped Sarah clean up from the night before but it took longer than it should have. Every moment they were either holding hands or kissing.
Chuck brought the last pot to Sarah as she hung it up. He kissed her then told her to sit down. Sarah obeyed and grabbed another cup of coffee. Chuck opened the fridge and grabbed some eggs, broccoli and found some sausage. He fried the sausage then added the broccoli then whipped the eggs into the pan and grabbed a spatula and made an egg scramble. He dished up two plates and walked them over to the table.
"It looks wonderful."
Chuck sat down.
"So when do you head to work?"
Sarah finished her bite. "Oh, work right? I don't open till 11."
They both looked at the clock on the wall. It read 10:15.
"I don't have to go."
"No, you would have been going to work anyways, if I wasn't here."
"But you are. And we."
"I know, I want to spend the day with you as well. But the sooner you go the sooner you are home."
Chuck walked Sarah to her car. He kissed her then headed back up to the door. "When are you done?"
Sarah spoke. "Done at six."
Then she drove off.
'I have seven hours. Now what?'
Sarah tended to customers and finished her day and like clock work she came home and they made love. This repeated the next two days then as Saturday approached Chuck decided to join her at work. It beat staying at her place and not having her there. Chuck was glad that he had come as it was the last Saturday of the month which was her weekend art session. Gladys was ecstatic to see him and so were the other ladies. There were a few new faces and even some of the elderly men from the senior complex came by. Chuck sat at the back as they continued working on their water colors. Sarah walked to the back sneaking in a kiss. Gladys winked at Chuck as Chuck gave a slight shrug of his shoulders.
Chuck slipped out and grabbed a something to eat and some coffee as Sarah's second session was going to start soon.
"It was a good turn out. You must be doing something right."
"I think they like to get out and its something that they can do without a whole lot of thinking."
"Probably therapeutic as well?"
"For some yes, for others its just something to pass the time."
Chuck got up and cleaned up as Sarah headed to the back. "What time is your next session?"
"2 p.m."
Chuck looked at his watch, then walked to the back. "Do they come through the front door?"
"No, this group usually park their scooters and walkers in the back and come in the back door, not as far for them to walk. Plus then I don't have to watch the front of the store."
Chuck took the items from Sarah and placed them on the trolley then waited till she looked like she was done. He stopped her and kissed her. "Hey."
"Hey."
He picked her up and slid a few things aside and lifted her onto the counter. She looked at him. "We don't have time."
"We will make time." Sarah bit her lips slightly.
Chuck slid her top off as he quickly took his off and reached for their jeans. Chuck kissed her as he leaned forward. He heard that moan, it was like he was anticipating it. He smiled. Sarah just grinned. He moved them as he slid his hand under her back side and moving her to the edge of the counter. It was nothing like they had experience before or felt. Sarah held him close as he continued to move. She breathed the words 'almost there' in his ears. This made Chuck lose his hold but Sarah knew a little help wouldn't hurt. She slid her hands down to his back side and squeezed his cheeks and she heard him moan into her neck. 'Your terrible.' as he looked at her.
Chuck kissed her shoulder as she rubbed his back. He lowered her leg and cupped her face as he kissed her. Sarah rested her chin on his shoulder as she looked up at the clock.
"Got to get dressed, they'll be here soon."
Chuck backed up and pulled his jeans up as he grabbed Sarah's shirt and helped her get dressed. Chuck slid his arms into his t shirt and zipped up his jeans and did his buckle. Sarah jumped down and button her jeans up and slid her hands into her t - shirt. She put her hair into a messy bun and could hear tapping at the door. She still had 15 minutes but smiled when she unlocked the door and came back seeing Chuck waiting in the door way of the small room.
They walked the neighbourhood, grabbing some groceries, wine and some take out for tonight and headed back to the jeep. "So why did we get groceries if we also got some take out?" Chuck looking into one of the bags.
"The take out is for now and the groceries, I don't plan to leave the house till Tuesday."
"Don't you work on Monday's?"
"I don't work the first Monday of the month as I work the last Saturday. So it works out. So this should last us till then."
Chuck smiled.
They ate on the front porch then had some wine as they watched the sun go down and the neighbourhood quieted down. "When are you leaving?"
Chuck looked at her.
"You had a flight to catch."
"Yeah."
"Did they call?"
"They did, earlier today, when you were teaching."
"So us in the back room was."
Chuck looked at her. "No, the back room was awesome and no it wasn't any version of good bye sex. I told them to credit me, as I wasn't sure when I would be leaving. That's the truth, unless."
"Unless what?"
"You and me, I can't go home after all of this between us."
Sarah got quiet as Chuck looked at her. "Don't shut down on me now."
Sarah got up and grabbed the food containers and headed inside.
Chuck followed. "Talk to me."
Chuck walked into the kitchen. "I can't deal with this."
"Why not? You brought it up and we both knew that one day I'd have to go home."
"I thought that this might be your home and you were mine."
"I am yours."
Chuck walked up to her and held her. "Sarah, the last few days have been a long time coming but I didn't have a plan on what my presence would have brought or how you would react, or if you were actually here. Especially how it would have ended. I came here with no expectations and even fewer clothes. So heading home was going to happen. But it depends on you."
Sarah looked up from his hold.
"I don't want you to go. But if your going to stay you might need some more clothes and Ellie, Morgan should know where you are."
"No worries there. Ellie and Devon are off with Doctors with out Borders and Morgan is in Hawaii."
"So who's at the apartment?"
"John is back and forth, he's been back with his crew. He felt that he needed to dust off the tarnish that formed last year and rebuild his team. He said he'd call when he was back in LA."
"So there's no reason really, for you to go home?"
Chuck looked at her.
"You are my home, where ever you go, I am going to be there. If you want normal, I will be your normal."
The next two days were quiet with late breakfasts and later dinners. Sarah got up to get ready for work when she looked at the calendar and saw that Chuck had been there for over a month. It had been the longest that they had ever been together in one place. She looked at him as he slept. Their movie marathon last night brought back memories. Maybe he was trying to make new memories. 'I did say that we didn't have anything that was just ours?'
She slipped downstairs, made some coffee, grabbed a bite to eat and left him a note.
Chuck got up and headed downstairs seeing a fresh pot of coffee and a piece of paper on the counter. 'I didn't want to wake you. Have a good day, see you later. Love Sarah.'
Chuck poured himself a mug and sat down and read the paper. He looked around her house and stood in the window and gazed out of the window and knew what he'd do today. Chuck got dressed and headed downstairs and walked to the back grabbing the lawn mower, which he didn't think Sarah had ever used. He laughed as he pulled it out and rolled it into the front. The neighbor with the dog walked by as Chuck was about to pull the starter. "Morning."
"Morning." As Chuck looked up.
"I'm Matthew."
Chuck walked to the edge of Sarah's grass and extended his hand. "Chuck."
"Nice to meet you Chuck. You're Sarah's other half?"
"Yeah."
"Was wondering if she'd was with anyone. My wife Sandy and I saw her move in but never saw anyone else?"
"Yeah, been out of the country." Chuck looked at the dog.
"Makes sense. So what do you do?"
Chuck looked up at Matthew. "Computer Engineering."
"Sounds high tech."
"It has its good days. And you?"
"I'm a writer, blogger, free lancer. So I can walk my dog at odd hours."
"What's its name?"
"Her name is Francis. My wife's idea."
Chuck looked up. "So what does your wife do?"
"She's a nurse so I married up."
Chuck crouched down and petted the dog. Francis cuddled inside Chucks hold.
Chuck stood up again. "So where's your place?"
Matthew pointed to the house on the corner. "The green one."
"Awesome."
"Well I better get back to this yard."
"Yeah she usually got one of the neighbour kids to do the yard. So you might have some competition."
"I'll keep that in mind."
Matthew and Francis the dog walked past as Chuck started the lawn mower and cut the grass then headed back to grab a broom and rake. He kept busy raking out the flower beds, making the curb appeal more appealing.
The shop
Sarah walked to the front with her ladder as she had just cleaned the front windows and walked back in to set up a new display in the window. She got a glimpse with her peripheral two black suburban's drive past her store. She had seen enough of them to last a lifetime. She stepped out onto the sidewalk and saw that they had turned down her street, fearing the worst. She ran back in, grabbing her keys and flipping the sign on the door saying that she'd be back in 30. She jumped into her jeep and sped down the street. A road that took five minutes to drive seemed like an eternity. As she drove up over the hill at the top of her block she saw that they were at her place. 'Chuck' She thought. She parked in the back and saw no one standing in the back so she snuck down the back walkway to the back door, ducking as she walked along the side of her house. She saw two standing by the front and one standing in the front foyer. Sarah snuck back and slipped through the back window trying to reach her stash when she heard a familiar voice.
Sarah came out as Chuck was talking to Beckman. Chuck looked at his watch. "Not bad Sarah, minus a few minutes with you sneaking around."
He walked over to her and grabbed her hand. He whispered in her ear. 'She wants to talk.'
Sarah rolled her eyes then followed.
"Sarah you look rested."
"Thank you. What brings you here."
"Before you think the worst." Beckman sat down.
"Congrats on the Gilles mission, his information brought down another sector of the Ring." Chuck looked at Sarah then at Beckman, he flashed on the man giving him some idea of what kind of mission she had been on, while he was in Prague. He looked at her, but Sarah smiled and looked at Beckman instead. "Chuck I got your report back from Prague and they were impressed with your progress, and you are well ahead of the game which would only be beneficial if you returned, I mean the both of you."
Chuck felt Sarah's hand squeeze his. "General, I'm flattered, we are flattered. But there is a reason why Sarah is here and why I came to find her. She needs a break and I won't come back until she does and if she doesn't then that is fine too. I know that the Government spent tonnes of money on me to get me where I am today. But it wouldn't be possible without Sarah."
Beckman noticed their hands. Sarah quickly let go and wiped them nervously on her jeans. "General what brings you here." Like Sarah knows but can't let on.
Sarah knew that there was a common respect between the veteran general and the seasoned Agent but Sarah had played this game before. But luckily it ended up with her meeting Chuck, and the last few weeks had been fantastic.
Beckman looked at Chuck then back at Sarah. "I'm not here specifically for you Sarah, I'm here for Chuck. I tried to call." Chuck looked at his phone on the side table. "Sorry, I didn't think I needed it."
"Anyways, I need your assistance. We have some Peruvian officials hiding or missing and we need your help in locating them."
Chuck looked at her and repeated what he said earlier. "I'm not coming back until Sarah comes back with me and right now I don't see that happening."
Sarah looked at him. This was the second time she heard him say that he was not going back without her. Beckman stood up. "I figured you'd say that. Right now I need you Chuck to use your skill set so that we can roll on finding them."
Chuck looked at Beckman then at Sarah. Sarah nodded as Chuck walked to the car with Beckman. Sarah watched from the window till they closed the door. Fifteen minutes later Chuck opened the door and closed it as Beckman rolled down the window. "Thank you Chuck."
"I can still help even if…."
"How is she doing?"
Chuck looked back at the house. "She's happy, really happy."
"Will she come back?"
"I don't think that you can take the spy out of the girl. But right now, the girl doesn't want to be a spy." Beckman smiled slightly which was not something she did often. "It was good to see that you found her. It was good spy work."
"Ah ha." Chuck laughed.
"Good bye Chuck."
"Goodbye General."
Chuck headed towards the house and saw that neighbours were watching and they were very curious. He looked around and saw Matthew and waved back. He couldn't tell them the truth but he could be creative. He looked at Matthew and yelled down the street. "I won the lottery and they were bringing me my winnings." Chuck heard cheers. Chuck waved. "Thanks." As he walked in. Sarah walked to the door. "Why were they clapping?" Chuck closed the door. "I told them that I won the lottery so that is why the cars were here."
Chuck kissed her on the cheek. "How did you get here?"
"I live here."
"I know that, but how did you know that Beckman had arrived?"
"I saw the entourage drive by the store and those types of cars don't deliver pizza."
"Ooh speaking of pizza. I'm famished."
"Chuck."
Chuck stopped and turned to face her. "Right, you saw the cars drive by."
"What did you talk about in the car?"
"She wanted me to flash on a Peruvian diplomat that had gone missing."
"So did you flash?"
"Yeah and it seemed to be enough for her."
"What else did she want?" Chuck faced her. "She wanted to know how you were doing."
"And what did you say?"
"I told her that you can't take the spy out of the girl. But this girl doesn't want to be a spy right now." Chuck waited then opened his arms as Sarah fell into them.
"Having you around makes life worth living and not a life of living in and out of a suitcase."
"I'm glad that I can help."
Chuck walked Sarah to the back as Sarah finally noticed the yard. "You did this?"
"Yeah, I heard that I might have competition."
"Who told you?"
"I met a guy named Matthew and his wife's name is Sandy. They have the cutest dog named Francis. He's a writer and she's a nurse. He said that you had a neighbour do your yard work."
"Yeah, but."
Sarah walked up to him, seeing him in his muscle shirt. The dirt on his sweaty arm.
Sarah touched his arm. "It suits you."
Sarah kissed his lips adding some fervor to it. Chuck got lost in her kiss. Sarah released her lips and walked to the door. "Too bad, I have to get back to work."
End of the week
Chuck asked to borrow Sarah's jeep. He dropped her off and took off to buy some clothes and find something special for tonight. He drove to the restaurant and made reservations for eight. Then headed to the men's store and bought a suit for tonight. He knew that Sarah still had that red dress in her closet from the Von Hayes mission, when she came out and Chuck blew it. When she came out wanting him to acknowledge her but because Bryce had been there he lied just so he couldn't tell Sarah how he really felt. Chuck finished running around and headed back to pick Sarah up. She was in the back and took the opportunity to grab some flowers. He had Tammy, one of Sarah's part time employees ring it up. He slipped them into the back of the jeep and came back to wait for Sarah.
Chuck drove them home and as Sarah looked at the mail, Chuck ran upstairs and drew Sarah a bath and laid out her dress, shoes and necklace. He grabbed a few items and ran back down. Sarah had opened a bottle of wine as Chuck came around the corner. He stopped as he saw her lips. He embraced her and kissed her. Sarah gave him a glass. He took a sip.
"I have a surprise for you."
"You do?"
"Yeah I drew you a bath and I put something out on your bed. Go and have some alone time and when your ready, I'll be here."
Sarah looked suspicious at him but when he topped her glass off almost to the rim and him moving her to the stairs, she headed up cautiously.
Sarah rounded the bathroom and saw that the room was full of candles and the hot water steamed up the bathroom. Sarah put down her glass and walked to the bedroom and saw the red dress. She walked up to it and remembered the last time she had it on and the hurt she endured. She saw a small piece of paper on the dress. As she picked it up she paused. "I'm sorry that I hurt you the first time you wore this, but there was a lot of hurt there with Bryce in the room. If he wasn't there, even if was I should have told you how beautiful you looked and I know why you chose that dress. So will you do me the honors of wearing it again tonight. Love Chuck.
Sarah ran her fingers over the material then undressed and slipped into the hot bath. She finished the wine and could have stayed there and had her own party but she wanted to see where this was going to go tonight.
She got dressed up and started to head down the stairs. The doorbell rang and Sarah yelled for Chuck to get it but she heard nothing. So she headed to the door and sees him standing there with a dozen roses. She smiled, opened the door and kissed him. "Nice flowers."
"Yeah thanks, I know a person."
"When did you?"
"When I came to pick you up."
"There lovely." Chuck looked at her, really looked at her. This time he spoke the truth. "You look beautiful. I should have told you that the first time."
"I heard it now." Chuck kissed her. Sarah ran her hands down his tie. "Well you clean up nice as well, so why ring the bell?"
"Cause it's a date and that's what guys do."
"A date?"
"Yes our third official date that consists of no guns, flashes, bad guys, or cars breaking into restaurants."
Sarah grabbed her shawl and grabbed her keys and gave them to Chuck. Chuck escorted her to the car and helped her inside then walked around the other side. "So where are we going?"
Chuck kissed her. "A surprise."
Chuck drove for awhile then stopped in front of the Casagranda's Steakhouse.
Sarah waited till Chuck opened the door. "I think that we are a bit over dressed."
Chuck looked at her. "I don't care."
"Why this place?"
"Well. (As Sarah took his arm) Our first date we tried Mexican and we almost got killed by Casey and I was almost sent to an under ground bunker. Our second date, we went for Chinese and almost got killed and again Casey came to crash the party. So I figured we go all American and play it safe. Plus I don't see Casey anywhere and there seems to be no bad guys around so were good."
"You thought of everything."
"I did and wait till I get you home."
Sarah stopped Chuck and didn't care who was watching. She kissed him right there on the sidewalk and she felt the effects in the lower gut. Chuck looked at her. "Maybe we should skipped the meal and go back home."
Sarah wiped the lipstick off his lip with her thumb. "We might need to eat."
Chuck opened the door and followed Sarah inside.
They were escorted to their table.
Chuck drove up to the house and barely put the car in park and turned off the car before Sarah and Chuck were kissing. Coming up for air. "This is how it should have ended." Sarah catching her breath.
"Which time?"
"Both?"
Chuck looked at her. "You were going to sleep with me the first time?"
"Why not?"
Chuck leaned in and kissed her again. Chuck broke the kiss and reached for the door handle. He grabbed the left overs and half skipped to the other side and opened the door. He helped Sarah out as they kissed then walked up to the door. Chuck gave Sarah her keys as she unlocked the door. They entered and as Chuck closed the door, they were kissing. Chuck locked the door and loosened his tie and followed Sarah upstairs. They barely reached the door when Sarah grabbed his jacket and laid in on the chair then reached for his tie and slipped it off as Chuck slipped his feet out of his shoes. Sarah managed to get his shirt off and tossed it as Chuck turned her around and ran his hands up her legs unzipping her dress and letting it fall to the floor. He unclasped her bra and placed kisses on her chilled skin. He unbuckled his belt as Sarah heard his belt hit the floor making a clanging noise. Chuck slipped his feet out of his socks and ran his hands up her legs again kissing her neck. He released her bun and let her hair fall loosely onto her shoulders. He turned her and looked at her. Her beautifulness and her nakedness all rolled up in one.
Sarah backed into the bed holding Chuck's hand. "I guess we survived our third official date."
Chuck snuggled inside her neck as Sarah wrapped her arms around his neck. "I guess we did."
Chuck kissed her softly as Sarah returned his kisses. He picked her up and carried her to the side of the bed and laid her down. Sarah raised her arms above her head as she welcomed Chucks hand in hers. He kissed her exposed skin and dragged his lips all over her and when they became one she waited to see the look on his face when she made that moan. It was his, it was theirs. It wasn't anything special but the fact that they were together.
Chuck relished in all that was Sarah bringing her to what she thought was the end only to start up again. She took the opportunity to flip him over and give him a taste of his own medicine, making him blush a little.
Sarah dragged her nails across his chest making him shudder then kissing a certain spot on his neck. She had been taking notes on what got him going and she was going to use all of them tonight. Chuck looked at her and sat up holding her close. She looked at him and kissed his lips softly. She held his face in her hands as she just let their bodies react to what was going on. "I love you."
Chuck looked up in between her kisses. "I love you too."
Chuck laid his face flat on her chest as they rode the last bit if their journey together.
Early the next morning
Sarah woke up early inspired to draw. She hadn't spent any time really since Chuck had been there, he somehow had inspired her to start up again. Sarah walked to the other side of her room that she had converted into a studio, looking back at Chuck still sleeping. After what they had done last night she'd let him sleep. She slipped on one of his long sleeve striped shirts she had stolen. She smiled 'If only you knew how many things I took.'
She sat on the stool and grabbed her charcoal piece that she had hid since Chuck had arrived. She felt that it was time the right time to complete it. She grabbed the photo that she slid into one of her sketch books. It was of the two of them that was taken when they went to pick up Roan Montgomery. She grabbed a contour pencil and started to do a rough sketch of their faces. She had a good start into the piece till she felt Chuck's lips on her shoulder. He looks up at her work. "It's wonderful, I never knew you had an eye for this."
Chuck grabbed a chair. Sarah put down the charcoal. "My dad and I had a lot of down time. Well I did as he went looking for another con. I had some money one time and I was left on my own so I went to a garage sale, and they had a box of charcoal and art paper for sale. As I looked at the supplies a lady came and gave me some more things. I told her that I only had a few dollars that would pay for the charcoal and paper and that was all. She said to me that she figured that I needed it more than she did. I thanked her and went back to the motel and started drawing small things, then got into more detail. When I got into high school I took music and art and did very well. It was my release. But then I got into the CIA and it all stopped till I came here."
Chuck looked around. "You did all of this since you got here?"
"Most of it. I grabbed the rest from storage when I came here."
Chuck got up and looked at the stack of art work and flipped through the canvases on the floor. He picked up a few and stopped at the last one. He pulled it out and Sarah froze. Chuck just stared. Sarah wasn't sure what his reaction would be. "Chuck?" Cautiously.
Chuck turned to face Sarah. "The fountain?"
"Yeah." Sheepishly. Chuck stood it up on the easel. "Chuck you are my home and the fountain was where we were just you and me talking about real things. The place where you told me that when you got the Intersect out of your head you'd be with the one you loved."
"I meant that."
