Bonding With Family
Okay, so in this chapter ladies and gentlemen, we will see Alex meeting Siax's parents for the first time! It's always a nervous time when meeting the girl you love's parents! But nobody is more nervous than Alex! You can in again how this chapter is going to go! So instead of spoiling it, let's get straight to it!
Keith continued to lead the way through the halls of the large building. With Siax walking just besides him and Blu, Jewel and Alex stayed close to her as they don't trust Keith at all! Especially since they saw him attempting to threaten Alex!
Jewel every now and then would look over her shoulder to see guards staring at her butt while licking their beaks. So she linked wings with Blu and pulled him closer to her.
"Honey? What's the matter?" Blu asked with a chuckle, and eventually noticed what the guards were doing. "HEY! Will you stop leering at my wife?'l Blu screamed at the guards who immediately stopped what they were doing and returned to their tall poses.
"Thank you Bluey!" Jewel have him a kiss on the cheek, and he blushed embarrassingly.
"ATTENTION!" Keith shouted at the top of his lungs and bashed the bottom of his spear on the floor, causing all the guards to get down on one knee and grovel. "Siax! Travellers! Snowball…" Keith spitefully whispered the last part to Alex who still felt enraged by that comment. "The king and queen!"
Blu and Jewel didn't even hesitate to go down on one talon to bow down in respect.
Siax stood tall because she was the princess and didn't feel the need to bow down.
Alex was about to get down, but Keith decided to give him…a helping wing!
"Show some respect fluff ball!" The barn owl shoved Alex to the ground, and he fell flat on his face, causing Siax to turn around and gasp in surprise. "Oh no…did you fall little guy?" Keith sarcastically spoke in a low voice.
"Oh my god! What happened?" She asked in concern as she went to pick him up. But Keith already beat her to it. "Alex are you okay?"
"Oh he's just great! He just…fell over! Didn't you…A-Lex?" Keith chuckled maliciously in a mocking tone, picking him up by his wings. "Tell her you fell…or you'll regret it later!"
Alex was about to protest about what really happened, but then he looked from left to right to see that his wife was looking concerned and Keith gave him a cold glare.
"Isn't…that…right?" The barn owl spoke again, and bashed his staff on the floor.
"Ughhh…I fell over!" The snowy owl male lied, as he recomposed himself. Causing Keith to pat him on the back roughly.
"Well…try and be more careful okay? I like your face just the way it is!" Siax giggled and picked him up with her wing.
"Yeah well he's a clumsy little fella! Isn't he?" Keith mocked him again and went to his post while waiting for the king and queen to come out of their room.
Soon, the whole room fell into a deep silence, as the doors to the royal bedroom flew open. And two burrowing owls emerged from that said room.
One was a tall and muscular burrowing owl male with deep blue eyes, brown facial markings, a few grey feathers here and there. And he wore a crown on his head, that symbols him as the king.
Next to him was a rather slender and beautiful burrowing owl female. With no facial markings on her face, she had bright gleaming yellow eyes, and she didn't seem to have any grey feathers on her body. She wore a silver tiara that symbols that she was the queen.
"HAIL! THE KING AND QUEEN! LONG LIVED THE KING AND QUEEN!" The guards and Keith chorused a few times as they slowly emerged from the room.
The king, took a few steps forwards and rose both his wings in the air. Signalling to his guards to settle down, and they immediately followed that order and stopped chanting.
Once the room fell silent again, the king looked down…only to see a certain someone…who filled his heart with so much joy.
"Oh…Siax! You really have come back!" The king ran up to his daughter and embraced his daughter tightly, with tears streaming down his face. "I hoped and prayed that you'd be back so soon! I've truly missed you my desert flower!"
"And I've missed you too daddy!" Siax cooed as she wiped away the tears in his eyes. Then she slowly turned to her mother, who smiled widely at her and opened her wings up. "MOM!"
Siax flew towards her mother and the two of them warmly embraced each other, both of them tearing up in the process.
"Ahhhh…my baby girl! You have returned to us! It's been so long!" Her mother replied with a soft tone, and parted from the hug. "You must be exhausted! Come! Let's get you to the bath to freshen up!"
"Actually…I was hoping to introduce you to my friends and my…husband?" She said the last word with a slight nervous touch, because she was afraid of their reactions when they found out that she had already betrothed someone outside of royalty.
"H-H-Husband? You're…already married?!" Her mother widened their eyes in surprise, and placed a wing on her chest. "Is he like…a prince? Or a general? Or…or…a warrior?"
"Actually…that's my husband right there!" Siax happily cooed, as she walked over to Alex and slightly pulled him over to her mother by the wing. "Mother…this, is my wonderful husband Alex! Sweetie…this is my mother!"
"Your majesty…it's an honour to finally make your acquaintance!" Alex bowed in respect and knelt on the floor. "You are glowing your majesty!"
"You may rise!" The queen replied with a warm smile and placed a wing on his shoulder. "So…you must be the husband? Tell me…are you in royalty?"
"Nope, but I always treat your daughter like a princess! She is the brightest star in my life! Like I'm sure you are with your husband!" The snowy owl male replied and stood back up onto his talons.
"Well now…confident and passionate! You definitely have a good one there my desert flower!" The king added to the conversation and wrapped one wing around Alex and one around Siax. "I'll tell you what? How about you two head off and bathe, and we will lead your servants to their rooms?"
"Servants? Oh no…they aren't our servants dad! They are my friends! They helped us kill Armando!" Siax beamed as she signalled for Blu and Jewel to come over to them.
The blue couple helped each other up and slowly walked towards the royals, and once again bowed respectively.
"Your highnesses!" Both of them simultaneously spoke as they knelt on the ground.
"Okay, will you please stop bowing? Anyone who dares to kill Armando is a friend of ours!" The queen chirped happily and clapped her wings together. "In fact? Why don't the four of you join us for dinner in the royal eating hall?"
"That sounds wonderful your majesty…" Blu was about to say but the queen cut him off as she rose her wing up to stop him from talking.
"Please my child…you may call me by my name, Mandisa!" Mandisa introduced herself as she waved a wing in front of her face.
"Ahhh, Mandisa you say? Which I believe the meaning in your native tongue is girl who is sweet? I can see how your parents named you that…it's definitely a good choice!" Blu spoke like a gentlemen and placed a wing on his chest. "Now I see where Siax gets her beautiful looks!"
As soon as he said that, Jewel's jaw dropped in horror when witnessing this moment. She felt a little jealous that he said that!
Alex on the other wing felt even more frustrated with him. "You bastard! That was supposed to be something I was gonna say!" He thought to himself, and he crossed his wings in annoyance.
"Oh stop it you! You are far too kind!" She blushed deeply and giggled under her wing. Causing her facial markings to look a little red. "I'm not all what I used to be!"
"Au Contraire Mandisa…I thought at first you were her twin sister?" Blu playfully joked and smiled at the burrowing owl female. Who blushed even deeper and couldn't control her giggling.
"Oh get a room!" Jewel angrily thought, and clenched both her wings into fists.
"And my name is Donkor! You may refer to me as that my young friend!" The king told Blu his name and placed both wings on his shoulders.
"Ahhhh I see! Because the meaning of your name is a man who is humble! Again a very good choice! Or was it fate that you were meant to have that name?" Blu complimented Siax's father, who chuckled in amusement and patted him on the back.
"Oh you are definitely a keeper! What's your name son?" Mandisa asked with a cheery smile on her beak.
"My name is Blu! Like the colour? I know it's not the most fascinating name in the world?"
"Are you kidding? I find it very fascinating! It's like…the colour of the sky! Or…the colour of my husband's eyes! You have a beautiful name Blu!" Mandisa complimented him and opened her wings up. "Would you like a hug? I wanna hug you!"
"Oh, I couldn't turn that down from a girl who is so sweet!" Blu replied as he gave her a friendly hug. But Mandisa tightened the grip on the hug and lifted him off of the floor. "Wow, and a soft hugger too!"
Donkor was laughing in amusement at this moment and wrapped a wing around his daughter.
"Wow! Blu is so great! You definitely have a really good friend in your life Siax!" He complimented Siax as he watched his wife and Blu separate from the hug.
"I do don't I? Blu is great! He is so amazing to talk to about my heritage and my past! He's a really good listener!" His daughter replied happily, and rested her head on his shoulder.
From a few metres away, Alex and Jewel looked at each other and shook their heads in annoyance. Especially since Blu was stealing all of the attention.
"He never compliments my name like that? Isn't Jewel a beautiful name?" Jewel whispered to the snowy owl who nodded his head.
"It's a wonderful name! Jewel is like a gem, or jewellery! You can't beat a name like that!" Alex responded to his friend who blushed deeply in embarrassment herself.
"Well, at dinner tonight I'd like you and Blu to sit opposite us! I must insist!" Donkor declared while rubbing his daughter on the back.
"What about my husband?" Siax asked curiously with an eyebrow raised.
"Oh…well…can't he just sit next to Blu's wife? Please! It would be nice to talk to another traveller?" Her father pleaded with puppy dog eyes, making her sigh in defeat.
"Well…I suppose that we will get all day tomorrow for you to bond with Alex?" Siax gave in as the two of them separated from the hug.
"Marvellous! Honey, take Blu and Alex, and I will take Siax and the blue girl!" Mandisa declared as she started escorting Jewel and Siax off to her side of the building. "See you at dinner Blu!" Mandisa called out to him while escorting her daughter and an irritated Jewel away.
"Okay Blu! Let me show you where to get freshened up for tonight! You coming Allen?" Donkor spoke to Alex, while immediately forgetting his name.
"Erm…it's Alex, actually!" The snowy owl male replied while shooting Blu with a death glare. As he felt extremely annoyed at the fact that Blu was hogging all of the attention from the king and queen.
As the two of them walked away, Blu looked over his shoulder to notice that Jewel was also giving him a death glare, and it made him extremely nervous. "Jeez, what's her problem?" He spoke to himself as he continued to walk next to Alex.
"Hmmm, it's a mystery isn't it Blu?" Alex sarcastically spoke while continuing to narrow his eyes at him.
"Okay Blu! You two head in that room there and get yourselves prepared, and I shall return in a moment!" Donkor spoke with a bright smile, and pushed the door open to the room. Allowing both Blu and Alex to walk inside.
As the blue spix's macaw and snowy owl walked inside, Blu immediately fell in love with the ancient structure that surrounded the room. He was in complete awe!
"Woah! Look at these walls! They look so…miraculous and…OW!" Blu immediately felt a slap on the back of his head from Alex, who crossed his wings while glaring at him. "What was that for?!"
"Will you stop kiss assing my parents in law? You're making me look bad!" The snowy owl snapped at him, while rubbing his head and sighing. "I invited you on this trip to support me! Do you call that supporting me?"
"How am I making you look bad?" Blu tilted his head to the side in confusion.
"Oh I don't know? Oooooh! A beautiful name you have! It means you are so sweet! And ooooh la di dah! You have a humble name! If you keep cosying up to them like that then it won't give me the chance to actually bond with them! Wasn't this trip about me bonding with her parents?" Alex rhetorically asked him with a softened expression.
"Oh…I'm…I'm really sorry Alex. I thought that…I was making us look good as a group? I don't mean to make you feel this way?" The blue male sadly replied as he got into the bird bath and sat down in it. "I just thought that…Ah it doesn't matter!"
Alex realised that he might have just upset his good friend, and he did feel a little guilty about it. But on the other wing he was a little jealous that his parents in law already like Blu so much.
"Erm…it's okay buddy!" Alex got into the bird bath and sat opposite of Blu, while looking at him with a bright grin. "I'm not saying that you can't be nice to them? I'm just saying…maybe you could let me do some of the talking? I want to get to know them, and get them to like me? Do you understand what I'm saying?"
Blu took a deep breath in and then out. He place a wing on Alex's shoulder and returned the warm grin. "Of course! While we are here? I can teach you a few things about their country! Maybe it might make them think that you've taken Siax's history into account?"
"That's great! Tell me absolutely everything that you can!" Alex agreed to his plan, and the two of them started cleansing themselves while Blu gave a history lesson to Alex. "Just please…help me gain their respect?"
Meanwhile…With Jewel And Siax…
"Wow! My parents seem to like Blu a lot! Isn't that great Jewel?!" Siax rhetorically asked her blue female friend. She didn't really respond in a polite way, she just slowly looked up at her and gave an annoyed stare. "I mean it's like…he's truly connecting with my family roots! Blu is so wonderful!"
Mmmmmhmmmm!" Jewel murmured while continuing to cleanse herself, scrubbing and preening her feathers. She was still jealous about Blu's behaviour, and it really spiked her heart.
"It's like…they already feel like I'm looked after you know? Plus Blu is great! He is definitely one of the smartest and most polite birds that I know!"
"Yep!" Jewel bluntly replied again, and started scrubbing underneath her…sensitive area. Making her shiver slightly. "Ooooh…that was the kick I needed!"
"Are you okay? You've been silent ever since my parents brought us to these rooms?" The burrowing owl female asked curiously while cleaning her feathers. "Is it because you are feeling a little heated? The cold water will help?"
"No it's nothing like that! You know what is bothering me!" Jewel snapped back at her, as she stopped cleaning herself.
"Look, I don't want to make a big deal out of this! But my husband is stealing all the attention from your family? Isn't this supposed to be about you and Alex bonding with them?" Jewel stopped cleansing herself and sat down in the bird bath opposite Siax.
"What is your problem? Blu is just being polite? Alex should at least make a little more effort to learn about my heritage! Blu has paid more attention to me about my past! I love Alex with all my heart, but sometimes I wish he had the intelligence that your husband has!"
"I understand that Siax! But there are so many other things that Alex exceeds at than Blu!"
"Oh yeah? Like what?"
"He fights well with nunchucks? Alex shows no weakness when it comes to battle? He's funny, has a great zest for life, and he has a strong backbone!"
"Blu has a strong backbone?"
"Really? He screamed like a little girl when there was an ant on his mango!" Jewel smirked at the thought of it.
"Well…maybe if you showed a tiny little bit of interest in what he knows then maybe he will show more of a backbone!" Siax softly whispered while turning away from her.
Jewel gasped in surprise when she heard this, and she narrowed her eyes while thinking about a good comeback.
"Well maybe if you showed some more affection towards Alex then maybe he would appreciate you more!"
Siax also gasped when hearing this and decided to fight back. "Well, at least I'm not a walking piece of meat that every guy wants to have a go on!"
"Huhhh! Well at least guys find me attractive!"
"YOU TAKE THAT BACK!" Siax screamed at her and stood up tall.
"NO!" Jewel argued back and also stood up on her talons.
"TAKE IT BACK RIGHT NOW!"
"OR WHAT BIG HEAD?!"
"BIG SLUT!"
"FRIZZY FEATHERS!"
"DUMB WHORE!"
"HUAAAAA!" Jewel once again gasped in horror, and covered her beak. Then she turned away from her friend and burst into tears.
Siax immediately softened her expression, and changed it into a look of guilt. Realising that she had taken a step way too far.
"Okay…I think it was just the heat talking! You know I don't think you're a dumb whore?" Siax walked up to her friend and wrapped her wings around her.
Jewel immediately stopped crying, and she wiped away her tears before bringing her in for a friendly hug.
"I don't think of you as unattractive! You are a very beautiful bird! I'm sorry for taking it too far!" The blue female apologised, while forming a small grin.
"I don't think of you as a slut and a piece of meat! You are a loving wife and mother to Blu and your children! I'm sorry for taking it too far too!"
"It's okay…I forgive you!" Jewel giggled as they separated from the hug and returned to the bird bath. "This place does look amazing! You must have been very lucky living here!"
"Yeah well, I had fun here growing up! But I'm glad that I did get to meet Alex and all of you in Rio! Rio is my home now, and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else!" Siax replied happily, before the two of them returned to cleansing themselves.
Meanwhile…On The Other Side Of The Girl's Bathing Room…
In a dark room that was just next door to Mandisa's private bathing room. Keith stood there in the corner of the room, just gazing at the wall for some strange reason.
Except when he moved his head backwards, you can see a tiny peephole in the wall. The barn owl was in fact staring through the peephole at Siax and Jewel as they cleansed themselves.
"Oh yeah…that's it…rub that place…go on…oh yes!" Keith kept muttering to himself, as he watched Siax rubbing her…special spot. "I've never stopped loving you baby! Why did you have to choose that…snowball! Over me?! Ughhhh…I can't let him take you from me!"
Keith pushed over a vase in the room and stormed out in a huff, before walking out of the back exit.
He sat down on a wall just outside and put his face in his wings…thinking that he was all alone…but he didn't realise, that a certain someone was already waiting there with a devilish grin on his beak.
"Hello Keith…"
The barn owl stood up onto his talons and looked at the bird in question.
"You…You got a lot of nerve showing your face here after you joined forces with Armando!" Keith argued with the bird in question that revealed to be a military macaw. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't ram this spear into your heart?!"
"Listen…I can deal with that…owl if you wish?" The bird maliciously smiled while smirking at the barn owl.
Keith looked over his shoulder to see if anyone was coming, and then turned back around to face him.
"How do you plan on doing that?"
"Tell the guys that you want to go on a morning flight with them to see the city! When the owl is alone…I will take care of him! And maybe even the blue guy!"
"What…Blu? Why would you want to deal with him?"
"So I get the girl! WE get the girls that we want! You get Siax…and I get that fine piece of blue ass!" The bird cackled as he stuck his talon out for a talon shake. "Do we have a deal?"
Keith once again looked over his shoulder to see if anyone was watching them. Then when he saw that it was all clear, he turned back around and shook talons with him. "We have a deal!"
Oh dear! Now that's an interesting bombshell isn't it? I wonder how Siax and Jewel will react when they find out about Keith's little plan! Plus…who was this mystery military macaw? I guess we will have to find out in the next chapter won't we? Anyway I hope you guys enjoyed the first meeting with Siax's parents! Even though they have taken the liking to Blu more than Alex at the moment! But we will see how the next chapter goes! See you all soon!
