Transformers Generation 1: The Heroics of Crowwing Prime.

Chapter 2: S.O.S Dinobots.

(Author's notes: I hope you've all been enjoying my stories.

Also, as per Irbrenneke's request/question and latest inspiration, I will be featuring the Dinobots of EVERY Transformers cartoon, movie, video game and so forth being made. However, that DOESN'T include the Beast Wars Dinobot or the Beast Machines Dinobots. At the same time, I will be featuring the Dinobots from the Aligned continuity, Age Of Extinction and Kre-O under different names so as to not get confused with who's who. As for any Dinobots who are named Swiftstrike, I will be giving them a different name as they might've already been used and I wish to avoid copyright.

Lastly, Transformers Generation 1 in general belongs to Hasbro. I don't own anything about Transformers Generation 1 except for this story and the original characters.

Enjoy chapter 2.)

(Primax 984.17 Alpha, Autobot Headquarters, Crowwing Prime's POV...)

It was a few weeks after we came to the universe of the Transformers Generation 1 cartoon and became the official Aerialbot team... that is, until Silverbolt's team comes online much later on in season 2.

Along the way, I learned how to utilize a cloning machine to increase our Energon storage.

Anyway, as I focused back on the present day, I realized today was the day the first Dinobots would be invented.

As we heard an earthquake, Ironhide states, "If you ask me, the Decepticons are behind these shakeups, Optimus Prime. You know how that junk punk Rumble likes to make earthquakes."

Spike listens closely next to a rock wall and says, "The tremors are strongest over here, Ironhide."

Ironhide activates his sonodar sensor and says in response, "Let me check it out, Spike. If Decepticons are burrowing behind that rock, my sonodar sensor will sniff them out. No Decepticreeps, but there is something weird in there."

Sideswipe starts pounding the rocks with his piston arms as Brawn starts removing stones.

Brawn states, "Get your pistons pumping, Sideswipe. Let's clean up this mess."

Soon as the two are done, we discovered that there was the cavern housing the dinosaur fossils needed for inspiration of the designs of the Dinobots.

Brawn points out, "Hey, there's a cavern in there."

Sideswipe exclaims, "Well, I'll be a Cybertronic bolt-bat!"

We entered the cavern to examine the dinosaur fossils.

Sideswipe asks, "What are they?"

Wheeljack examines a dinosaur bone and answers, "It feels like stone, but they look like the bones of some giant creatures."

Spike explains, "They're the fossilized bones of dinosaurs, animals that ruled Earth millions of years ago."

Jazz muses, "Hmm. Dinosaurs, eh? They must have been ugly suckers."

Wheeljack states, "I'd sure like to know more about them."

Optimus replies, "As would I. Perhaps Spike would be willing to continue our dinosaur education."

Of course, I knew what Soundwave and Reflector were doing, but we can worry about that later.

About half an hour later, Hound was giving off holograms of the dinosaurs based on fictionalized depictions of dinosaur history.

Soon, the holograms of dinosaurs on prehistoric Earth were shown as Spike explains, "There they are, guys. Dinosaurs. Not very intelligent because of their tiny brains, but extremely powerful."

I added, "Some of the dinosaurs ate the plants that would give their carbon-based bodies energy due to their flat teeth, but other dinosaurs like the Tyrannosaurus Rex, are carnivorous. Meaning that they eat the corpses of the plant-eating dinosaurs. As evident by their razor-sharp teeth."

I could tell the other Autobots were slightly shaking because of the explanation about the dinosaurs I gave them.

Wheeljack states, "If only we had some dinosaurs working for us. They'd really shake up the Decepticons."

Ratchet states in agreement, "Mm. I'm with you, Wheeljack. We could build robot versions of those oversized iguanas – if it was okay with Optimus Prime."

Optimus says in response, "Robot dinosaurs might be useful. You have my authorization."

Just then, Shiftcross spoke up as he explained his argument, "Um, guys? I hate to bring this up, but my team and I have foreknowledge about the robot dinosaurs that could prove beneficial."

Optimus replied, "Then, by all means, explain."

Shiftcross explains, "If the robot dinosaurs are brought online with small sized brain modules, they won't be intelligent enough to form coherent, complete sentences, they won't be able to follow orders properly and they won't be able to determine in time if they're being tricked into fighting us. At the same time, they'll always be questioning Optimus Prime's orders. Also, if they turned rogue, we wouldn't be able to stop them as they would only be vulnerable in robot mode. And if we took them for granted because the Decepticons found out their vulnerability in robot mode, their volatile natures will cause them to abandon us when we need them the most. So I strongly suggest we be extra careful with how we build and program the robot dinosaurs."

Huffer states, "Hey, I can't argue with that. If we are extra careful with how we build these 'Dinobots,' we could gain extra allies and true friends who will help us end the war."

Optimus muses, "Hmm. Dinobots. I like the sound of that. Crowwing, how many Dinobots should we build?"

I answered while projecting my own holograms of other dinosaurs, "Forty-four Dinobots. And I know just the right ones."

Soon enough, we all got to work on the Dinobots I suggested to go along with the primary eight of them. At the same time, I made sure that Wheeljack and Ratchet DIDN'T give the Dinobots tiny brain modules, thus making them very dumb.

An hour in frozen time later, we were all gathered around as Wheeljack announced, "And now, fellow Autobots, and especially Optimus Prime and Crowwing Prime, it gives me great pleasure to present the Dinobots!"

The Dinobots come out of the shadows. The primary eight Dinobots – Grimlock, Slug, Sludge, Snarl, Swoop, Skar, Slash, and Paddles – all look like their Generation 1 counterparts. Grimstone, Hacksaw, Knockdown, Bullhorn, Crackback, Floodgate, Freezeout, Frostbite, Iquanox, Ironeye, Mollox, Roadhound, Silversnout, Skimmer, and Torosaur looked like their Power Core Combiners, Classics and Kre-O counterparts. Except that the Kre-O inspired Dinobots look like actual Dinobots. More specifically, the Animated and Aligned continuity Dinobots. On the other servo, Wrenchtwister, Windhopper, Shellshatter, Veilchaser, Bladereaper, Lancemarker, Fastflight, Thunderstreaker, Strangleclaw, Warfest, Aircross, Night High, Goldcrunch, Chainspin, and Chopmarauder look like the Beast Machines Dinobots, as well as the IDW Strafe for Chainspin and the Beast Wars Megatron and Transmetal 1 Megatron merged together for Chopmarauder. As for Shadowdancer, he looks like he can transform into a Titanoboa. Coincidentally, that's what his dinosaur mode is. For Indobeast, she can transform into a Giganotosaurus. For Coppertone, she can transform into an Iguanodon, just like her twin sister, Steeltone. Except that Coppertone is copper-colored while her sister is silver in color. However, Holegut is a Triple Changer Dinobot. She transforms into a Titanosaurus and a black and green Mitsubishi barbarian pickup truck. Next-to-last, for Clouddiver, he can transform into a Hatzegopteryx. And lastly, we have Predastorm in the list of original Dinobots that never showed up in the Transformers franchise until now. She transforms into a Quetzalcoatlus.

After the Autobots announced their affirmations of surprise, Wheeljack stated, "Allow me to introduce Grimlock. Slug. Sludge. Slash. Grimstone. Hacksaw. Knockdown. Bullhorn. Crackback. Floodgate. Freezeout. Frostbite. Iquanox. Ironeye. Mollox. Roadhound. Silversnout. Skimmer. Torosaur. Shellshatter. Veilchaser. Bladereaper. Lancemarker. Shadowdancer. Indobeast. Coppertone. Steeltone. Clouddiver. Predastorm. Wrenchtwister. Windhopper. Fastflight. Thunderstreaker. Strangleclaw. Warfest. Aircross. Night High. Goldcrunch. Chainspin. Chopmarauder. Paddles. Skar. Snarl, and Swoop."

Huffer comes up and says, "Dinobots, huh? I thought you were supposed to make dinosaurs!"

Huffer laughs mockingly, causing Fieryways to smack him in the head and give him a lecture about being rude in regards to someone's invention. Especially when that invention involves new Autobots.

Ratchet turns to the Dinobots and says, "Dinobots, transform."

All forty-four Dinobots transform to their dinosaur modes.

Cliffjumper states, "Interesting. But what else can they do?"

Wheeljack says to the Dinobots, "Dinobots, clear this rubble."

Ratchet adds, "And be quick about it."

The Dinobots light up different parts of their dino modes, including their open mouthplates, and clear up the rubble.

The Dinobots transform back to robot mode as Grimlock starts forming his first words, "Uhh, what planet are we on?"

I answered, "You're on a planet called Earth, the third planet of the Milky Way Galaxy in the Omega Quadrant."

Grimlock hums as he states, "Now, I remember. Please show us who the Decepticons are."

Fieryways gladly started telling the Dinobots everything about the Decepticons, the Great War, the Quintessons, Primus, Unicron, humanity and where we came from.

Of course, all of a sudden, I could feel like I'm not just an Aerialbot.

When I brought this up to Optimus in front of everyone, I suddenly felt myself involuntarily transforming into a robotic dragon sharing design elements from the Generation 1 Dragon Beast, the Beast Wars Transmetal 2 Megatron, the Robots In Disguise 2001 Cryotek, the Last Knight Dragonstorm, the Primeverse Predaking, and the RID 2001 Megatron/Galvatron, thus making me a five-headed dragon.

I let out a confused growl before letting out a giant, "RRRRROOWWWWWWLLLLLRRRRRR!"

Suddenly, I got control of my bearings again and transformed back to robot mode.

I could see that my jet mode wings will become my dragon wings whenever I call upon my dragon mode. Either as a last resort, or in the event I lose control of my anger.

Everyone was shocked, to say the least.

Soon, Teletraan 1 got a call from an engineer at a hydro-electric power plant at the Great Falls.

The engineer said, "Teletraan 1, alert the Autobots. We got Decepticons attacking the hydro-electric power plant at the Great Falls. They're shutting down our generators."

I called out, "Guys, you might want to be careful. Megatron is gonna juice up his Fusion Cannon to blast you guys into the water at the falls and restrain you in Energon chains long enough to give you all a terminal meltdown!"

Optimus held my shoulder plate and said, "Stay calm, Crowwing. If we can't contact headquarters, you'll send the Dinobots. But we will be extra careful. Autobots, transform!" He turns to Bumblebee and finishes, "Not you, Bumblebee. You and the others stay here and guard headquarters with Crowwing. Once Crowwing detects our energy signals in stasis lock, he'll send for you and the Dinobots."

Everyone of our ground troopers and only fifty of our Aerialbots take off to the hydro-electric plant.

(Meanwhile, at the Great Falls in third person...)

The Decepticons finished stocking up the Energon cubes as Megatron says to Starscream, "Endless energy, Starscream."

Starscream retorts, "Unless we're interrupted by the Autobots."

Megatron replies, "As usual, you underestimate me, Starscream. I have already devised a warm reception for our foes... if they should be foolish enough to interfere."

The Autobots drive up to the falls and switch to robot mode as Spike hides.

Optimus takes a look and says, "I don't detect any Decepticons."

Bluestreak humorously states, "Maybe Hound's got glitch-mice in his databanks again. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!"

Nobody but Bluestreak was laughing at his not-so-hilarious attempt at making a joke.

Hound replies, "No, we're in the right place. Those electronic scans are stronger than ever."

Megatron appears and announces, "Right you are, Autobot! Forward, warriors! Take them!"

The Decepticons come out of hiding, including some of their generic Reflector copies and their generic Seekers.

Strikesplitter calls out, "Aerialbots, take to the air!"

Strikesplitter, Sparkflight and their generic Aerialbots take off into the air and fight the Decepticon Seekers to a standstill.

Starscream calls out, "No fair! They have generic Aerialbots of their own!"

Starscream gets shot down by one of the Aerialbots.

Just then, Backguard catches Optimus' attention and points out Megatron preparing to juice up his Fusion Cannon.

Megatron says, "Now, you will witness the power of my Fusion Cannon. Ready, Rumble?"

Before Rumble can pull off his signature, Aviandash shoots him down.

However, one of Rumble's generic clones manages to finish his job for him.

But the Aerialbots managed to escape to warn Crowwing Prime.

(Meanwhile, back at Autobot Headquarters in Crowwing Prime's POV...)

I had the feeling my friends were in trouble when the fifty of my crew returned in a hurry.

Backguard says to me, "Sir, the others were trapped despite your warnings!"

I replied angrily, "And I wonder whose fault is that?!"

Shiftcross answers, "Sir, one of Rumble's generic clones managed to do the job for him after we took him out."

Ratchet comes up and states, "So, that's why I can't interface with Optimus Prime."

Fieryways adds, "As we speak, after they've been fished out of the water, they'll be restrained by Energon chains."

Wheeljack suggests, "Remember when Optimus said to send for the Dinobots in the event he and the others get trapped? Well, why not send them in?"

I mused, "Hmm. It's so crazy it might just work. Let's do it."

We got the Dinobots caught up to speed, and to say the least, Grimlock was more than willing to help Optimus. If only because Grimlock lives to take orders from a wise and compassionate leader older than him.

Yeah, a little secret: I used my personality inversion ability to give Grimlock and the Dinobots the correct personalities to have them controlled and guided under a compassionate mechanical servo.

We took off into the air, the Dinobots in particular discovering for the first time that they can fly in robot mode like the others.

I could hear Megatron say to the others, "Don't stress your circuitry. You'll never break those Energon chains in your weakened condition."

We could see for ourselves Optimus was the only one who could barely move while the others were completely immobile.

We then heard Megatron say to his troops, "Prepare for terminal meltdown."

They all aimed their weapons as Megatron counted down using words, "Decepticons, ready, aim—"

But he hears us flying and upon seeing the Dinobots, he shouts in fear, "What are those?!"

Slug asked me, "Which of those down there are our friends?"

I answered while gesturing to our respective Autobot symbols, "The ones with the symbol on my wings and your chestplate, Slug."

Slug says in response, "That's good enough for me!"

Slug fires his gun at Megatron's troops twice as warning shots.

As soon as we landed, Sludge transforms to his dino mode and roars loudly.

Starscream said to Megatron, "You're supposed to know everything. What are those?"

Megatron replies, "Scrap metal, once we're finished with them."

Megatron fires his Fusion Cannon at Sludge twice, only to miss twice.

Wheeljack quips, "Speaking of scrap, Megatron, try this on for size!"

Wheeljack fires his shoulder cannon at Megatron, causing him to get on his knee armor as he was hit with gyro-inhibitor shells.

Megatron exclaims, "Gyro-inhibitor shells! My equilibrium is destabilized! Whoooorh!"

Starscream calls out while transforming to his jet mode, "Megatron has fallen! I, Starscream, am now your leader! Decepticons, follow me!"

The Decepticon squadron took to the air, the Seekers switching to their jet modes.

Starscream tried to fire his cluster warhead missiles at Grimlock, only for the Dinobot leader to retaliate with his laser breath.

Thundercracker said to Slug, "I don't know what you are, but I sure hope this burns you up!"

Unharmed, Slug growls as he unleashes his fire breath and his Energon lasers from his horns upon Thundercracker, taking him out of the fight.

Once Sludge makes it to dry land, Rumble lands and prepares his piledrivers as he quips, "If on Decepticon turf you happen to tumble, look out, robot, 'cause here comes Rumble!"

Rumble pitifully tries to trap the Dinobot in an earthquake, but Sludge manages to side-step the tremor and uses his seismic stomp to topple Rumble.

Rumble falls on his skid plate and calls out, "Hey! No fair!"

Skywarp fires his heat-seeking missiles at Slug as he cries out, "Heat-seeking missiles, seek heat!"

Skywarp fires his heat-seeking missiles at Slug, only for Slug to suffer no damage.

Skywarp tries to fly into Grimlock, only for the Dinobot leader to grab the black and purple Seeker by his left jet wing and toss him aside.

Skywarp cries out, "Yaaaaahh!" and crashes into Soundwave.

Megatron gets back up and calls out, "We must keep fighting at all costs! I will lead us to victory yet!"

Megatron transforms into his gun mode and latches himself underneath Starscream's nosecone.

Megatron fires off multiple blasts, two of which narrowly miss Wheeljack.

Wheeljack spots the guns of our restrained allies, and fires off a round from Sideswipe's flare gun to dry off their circuits and a round from Bluestreak's electric volt blaster to instantly recharge them.

As Starscream gets closer to the Dinobots from the air, with Megatron's gun mode blasting away, the Dinobots shoot back, one of the lasers hits Megatron and forces him to unlatch and switch back to robot mode.

Upon seeing Optimus Prime approaching, Megatron calls out to his troops, "Enough! We must retreat! RETREAT!"

The Decepticon Seekers, or whatever's left of them, switch to their jet modes and fly off with the remaining Decepticons flying off in robot mode, Megatron among them.

Soon, the Dinobots switch to their robot modes.

I say to Optimus, "Sir, I obeyed your orders to a T with my foreknowledge. But you see, if it weren't for the Dinobots, you and the others would've died."

Optimus replies, "Indeed. Sometimes, even the wisest of men and machines can be in error. You performed your duty admirably. As for the Dinobots, they have proven their value to the Autobot cause and the fight for freedom. The Dinobots shall remain among us!"

We all cheered while the Dinobots roared happily.

As we made our way back to headquarters, I had remembered that in a few days was the day we unearth Skyfire and Jetfire from the Arctic, in addition to fighting the Decepticons over the Peruvian Crystal of Power.

We have to be ready for when that day arrives.

The End.

(Author's notes: I hope you all like this chapter.

Also, a shout out to Irbrenneke: thanks for your help in creating names for the OC Dinobots, mate. I got all that I need for the OC Dinobot names for now. That is, until the War Of The Dinobots chapter arrives. So thanks, mate.

Now, I'll be taking a one and a half week hiatus because I have to study for the G.E.D Tasc exam at my school so I can get a diploma to graduate from high school. But don't worry; some of my stories will come back at full force, if not all of them.

See you all in a week and a half with the possibility of chapter 3: Fire On The Mountain.)
