It was morning and Royal Woods was bustling. At 1216 Franklin Avenue was a house known to all as simply The Loud House. It got its name from how loud the residents would be and because their last name was Loud. In the linen closet was the room of Lincoln Loud who slowly arose from a good night sleep. Lincoln yawns as he stretches from a good night's sleep. As he was changing into his normal outfit, he noticed a purple transverse flute on his dresser. The first thought to enter his mind was that it was a present from Luna for some reason that she left last night. While it wasn't his best instrument, he was pretty good with flutes. He decided to give it a test run to see how the notes played only to be engulfed in a puff of smoke. As he coughed and waved his hand to clear away the smoke, his mind first went to the flute being a prank gift from Luan. But then he heard a voice ring, saying "What the Hell are you doing?!".
"What the?!" Lincoln exclaimed as he looked around for the unfamiliar voice, but not finding it. Lincoln thought the voice was perhaps in his head and a auditory illusion. He decided to go and confront his prank-obsessed sister, putting the flute back on the dresser. But not even a second passes and another explosion occurs only this time it happens in his face. After it settles and coughing a little bit, Lincoln is shocked at what was in front of him.
It was a petite girl that looked around his age, with short wavy purple hair, wearing an East Asian outfit.
"Where am I? And who are you?"
"I'm Lincoln Loud and you appeared in my room all of a sudden." Lincoln said as he introduced himself.
'His personality and appearance are almost similar to Kazuya's.' she thought to herself.
"I am Kyouka the Flute." she said to him
"Nice to meet you Kyouka." Lincoln said politely. "Have you seen a flute here by any chance?"
Kyouka deadpanned at him. "You're kidding right? I'm the flute you're looking for." she said, gesturing to herself.
Lincoln was taken aback. "Wait what? Are you a ghost or something?" he asked.
"No, I am a tsukumogami." she replied.
He gave her a blank stare. "A wha?" he asked.
"Seriously? You don't even know what I am?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
He shook his head.
"Allow me to explain." she sighed and began to tell Lincoln everything.
After 15 minutes, she finished her explanation.
"And that's pretty much it." she said.
"Wow..." Lincoln said in awe.
"I know, it does seem like a lot to take in." Kyouka nodded. "Anyway, where am I?"
"Oh, you're in Royal Woods, Michigan." Lincoln replied.
"I've never heard of it before."
"Really?"
"Yes, I've never been out of Japan before." she explained.
"You mentioned that you had an owner named Kazuya, right?" he asked.
"Yes, but he's not here and-." Kyouka stopped again this time looking at herself.
She looked into the mirror and saw that her appearance had been warped. One her eyes lacked an iris and was just simply made of the pupil, two her humanoid form was made in the style of a kid's cartoon, and she lacked some features. The whole thing was awkward until Lincoln spoke.
"Uh, Kyouka are you ok?" he asked.
She breathed in and out before answering. "Lincoln, I don't think this where I'm from."
"What do you mean?" he asked, tilting his head in confusion.
"You see I'm from a world where I don't look like this." she said, gesturing to her appearance.
"Let me guess you're from another world where it's the same but the principles and your appearance is different" he replied, matter-of-factly with Kyouka nodding.
"Since I don't know how I got here or do I know of way of getting back." she said, before facing Lincoln.
"Due to the unique circumstances, I am in. Lincoln Loud I make you my temporary owner." she said, pulling out her hand.
Which Lincoln did and the two shook sealing their partnership.
I love tsugumomo and the Loud House. And an idea popped into my mind, at first it was supposed to be a one shot till I turned it into a story. Please review and follow this.
