Specialist and Manipulator

Illumi trudged back home in Zetsu. He sat in his room for a few moments pondering his decision, until eventually still deciding it was the right one.

He looked up as the door creaked open, "Silva is calling you." Grandpa Zeno said.

Illumi nodded and headed towards his fathers room, with Micheal (the dog) sitting obediently beside his father.

"So? How was Amane?" Silva asks.

"She seemed really into her role, and she successfully got rid of the intruder." Illumi gives away no hints of the actual scenario.

Silva narrowed his eyes, "There were no bodies though."

"The intruder left after two swings."

Silva nodded. Tsubone emerged from the shadows, Illumi had noticed her, but decided not to mention it. Tsubone's face seemed neutral but somewhat pleased.

"What was the intruder like? Normal people aren't able to push 32 tons." Tsubone inquired.

"She didn't know Nen."

Without any comment Silva gestured for Illumi to leave. He left. He heard his father demand, "Are there any new assassin or training facilities lately?"

Illumi winced internally, then realized that where Amuno had gotten this strong was still a mystery. He would ask her next time they met. If she was in a facility, then that meant that he probably would stop hanging out with her, but not kill her because the group could become allies. They could also become enemies.

Illumi sat back to his room again and started to eat his food that he already knew was poisoned. He thought to himself that he wouldn't be able to meet Amuno when his parents were training hime to live without sleep. Illumi also had a general idea that Amuno might freak out a little if she saw him right after pain enduring class.

He passed the torture chamber and heard 2 year old Milluki screaming. He still hasn't learnt how to keep in his screams. Illumi wondered. He had stopped crying before he turned one. Screaming was out of the question.

Silva approached him from behind. Silva nodded. Illumi knew that meant to follow him, though compared to someone like Amuno everyone in his family was tense. Silva led him to a training room.

An hour later, Illumi left the room with his hands soaked with blood. But he was excited. His father had just given him an assassin mission. It wasn't like his normal ones. This one was actually someone who had more than one lousy bodyguard. The ones before had a target, one protector that had a 55% percent chance of knowing Nen, and a poorly guarded base. Maybe it wasn't really that bad but it was that easy.

Illumi was pretty excited, but none of that showed.

He arrived at the self-training spot. Picking up his needles he began training.

Amuno was screaming, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN I SHOULD HAVE HIT THE GATEKEEPER PROPERLY?"

"I MEAN THAT IF YOUR GOING TO TRY TO KNOCK SOMEONE UNCONSCIOUS THEN YOU MAY AS WELL ACTUALLY HIT HER HARD!" Mitsura screamed back.

"BUT I DIDN'T WANT TO! THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN TOO AGGRESSIVE!" Amuno hollered.

"AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN GET INSIDE THE ACTUAL MANOR!"

"WHO CARES? WILL YOU JUST SHUT UP!"

"STOP WITH THE ATTITUDE RIGHT NOW YOUNG LADY!"

"I'M NOT EVEN 8 HOW AM I A YOUNG LADY?"

"YOU STILL HAVE ATTITUDE!"

"Will you two stop yelling for 3 seconds?"

"Oh is it dinner time." Mitsura blinked.

"Yup."

"Alright coming!" Amuno took off her star pin and went to eat her food. She wondered what Illumi was doing at the moment. Probably something weird since the Zoldyck Manor is a freakhouse. Nothing wrong with freakhouses of course since Amuno lived in one.

"Potatoes Amuno."

"Yes mom."

William leaned over and whispered in her ear, "You and Moms antics are like a daily dose of entertainment."

Amuno laughed, "Good to know, anyways Mom can I-"

"Yea go ahead."

William glared, "The favoritism is real."

Mom smirked, "If you want William I can drive you to Meteor City this evening."

Williams' eyes instantly brightened, Amuno gulped down her remaining breakfast, "To get metal scraps." she taunted mockingly.

William stuck his tongue out at her. For a 13 year old he was petty.

"It's about time you killed someone." Mitsura stated.

Amuno looked up, "I already did! A random person and some police."

Mom sighed, "Fine then go fire your gun and the cranes or something."

"Hey Mom, say I'm talented."

"That goes without saying."

"Hey William, pat my head!"

"Oh sure." William rubbed Amuno's head.

Amuno giggled joyfully. She really loved her family dysfunctional as it was, she wondered what cold-assassin-who-knows-something-she-didn't thought about his family.

After shooting some fish on the creek near her house and skinning them, Amuno lay down on the floral hills for a few minutes before standing up and going to the house library. She had loved reading as a child, so much that her mother had put a 3-ton barrier to block her entry. She had pushed it after a week. (To which her mother had wrung her hands sighing.)

Illumi left the torture chamber to get bandaged up. A night without sleep and then torture was his preperation for the event ot come. He quickly bandaged himself and lay down, Kikyo entered the room.

Kikyo was pregnant with her third child, and Silva tried to avoid putting her in too much danger, but she had been quite insistent.

"I didn't do much when Milluki was born and he's a failure!" she protested hysterically.

"And you nearly died when you were pregnant with Illumi!"

"And he is 10 times better than that debacle."

Eventually Silva conceded, and Kikyo sauntered around the house freely. If Illumi was allowed to have opinions, he would say Kikyo looked lonely.

"Mom." he greeted her as she entered the room.

"Illu. There's something special about this child, I can feel it." she insisted, patting her stomach.

"Yes Mother?"

After listening to her mother rant, Illumi left the room somewhat exhausted. He passed Amane in the hallway and nodded politely to her.

He entered his training room again and began preparing his needles. His dad entered to check on him once, then left. He reread his targets files and when he was sure he had memorized them, burnt them.

He spent the rest of the day following his schedule. Then at 9:45 he left the house in Zetsu.

Amuno was already there before, and Illumi decided to believe the statement that she was always free.

"You seem happy." she noted.

Slightly confused Illumi sat down, "How could you tell?"

Amuno beamed, "I'm just good with these stuff."

"Father gave me a project."

Amuno cocked her head, "First time?"

"No." Illumi snapped, "This is just a really serious one."

"No need to be so rude. Geez."

"What's the unlucky target's name?"

"That's classified info-"

Amuno bursted into laughter, "Oh my god, sorry it just sounds so funny." she continued laughing, "ThAts CLasSIfieD inFO."

"Shut up!"

Instead of getting mad at him for being rude and casual, Amuno proceeded back to laughing. Illumi relaxed a little.

"It's Irak Gherik."

"Well it looks like that's my cousin!" Amuno announced.

The embarrassing thing was, it actually took him a while to figure out that she was joking. Then he actually laughed, the last time he laughed was...actually he couldn't remember.

"Where did you learn how to, you-know push 32 tons?"

"I don't know, there was some required stuff but most of them I just picked up when I was growing up." Amuno tapped her chin thoughtfully.

"You're wearing the same clothing."

"I don't leave my house much so I don't have many non-kimono clothing. And I like this one."

"Just wear a kimono next time, you look awkward."

"Wow you're so bossy."

Illumi smiled, then he left when Amuno stood up to leave, since it was already 10:30. "Bye!" she exclaimed, "Good luck on your business!"

Amuno ran back home happily. Illumi had laughed and that had made her really happy that she had made Ice King laugh.

Her sneakers landed on concrete.

"Hey Princess you look pretty valuable. Whose your parents?" three middle-aged men walked out of the shadow.

Amuno would have preferred to rip all of them apart right there, but there would be no convenient place to get rid of the body. So she ran, normally because the last thing she wanted was for them to know about a white haired girl who ran inhumanly fast. They followed her, and the leader pulled out a pistol.

He fired it. Personally, Amuno believed that if her mom was blindfolded, and twirling on one leg, she would shoot better than that. Amuno didn't even need to dodge because the bullet straight up missed.

Then she reached a nice deserted area. She turned around, each of the men were pretty big, but judging the leaders' gunshot skills, Amane could probably take them down.

Amuno kicked off all of their heads. A little messy way to do it, but it seemed like the right thing to do at the moment. She kicked the bodies into the trash dump nearby, still approximately 25miles from her home, she then rushed back home, at hernormal speed.

When she arrived, Mother had set up a bottle of cobra poison, black widow poison, snake plant sap + stuff to make ointment, chinese lantern, and laxative.

Amuno lists all of them. They did this before.

"Alright eat Physalis alkekengi." Mother sighs.

Amuno gulps down the chinese lantern and goes to sleep.
