Sango left undercover of night and tracked the bison to a stronghold under Lake Laogai.

She was able to surmise the secret entrance, and was keenly aware that she had a follower.

A masked fellow. She put her own mask on in return.

Sango searched the stronghold, easily avoiding the guards, then ran into the masked fellow.

He gestured with his fingers, and she followed him.

There was the bison, in chains.

"Thank you." Sango whispered.

The masked fellow looked struck, as if he couldn't believe what he'd done, and sped out. "I'll...stand guard."

Using her weapons, Sango broke the bison out, and flew him outside the city into one of the caves.

She watched the masked boy talk to an older man on her way out. She could sense him warring with himself. Just like Kohaku.

He was not a pure spirit, like the monk.

"Don't worry, Appa." Sango whispered. "I'll take Aang to you soon. You're free now. I already prepared some food, and blocked the area off. Your suffering's over."

Sango embraced the bison, the soft fur reminding her of Kilala.

She returned to the city undercover of night and prepared to wake the others. To avoid getting caught, they must go undercover of night.
