Darkness. Again. Ever since Olivia encountered William, her life became full of darkness. Don't get me wrong, her life was already pretty dark, but William and his mind, his victims, he was definitely the darkest person she ever came in contact with, even after all those years dealing with rapists and killers daily. First the terrifying darkness of her own home that was supposed to be her safe haven and now unconscious, nothing, just dark empty room, that was her mind when her body was at the mercy of him, to take her wherever he wants and do whatever he wants.
William removed Olivia's handcuffs from the bed and put her arms cuffed behind her back. There was blood on the sheets, shit. When people find out she's missing they're going to use every bit of evidence they can find. He removed the sheets from her bed and put them in a bag. When William was ready to leave, he heard someone ring the doorbell. Everything always goes so smoothly with his crimes, but now everything seems to go messy. Suddenly he heard knocking on the door. "Liv! It's Brian open up! I forgot my keys and when I called the police department they told me they sent you home early!" Ugh, a boyfriend. Wonderful. He walked towards the door and opened it. "What do you want?" William said coldly and he saw Brian's face go pale. Brian didn't have very long to process what's going on, because William beat him until he fell down. Even though Brian is a detective himself, William was way stronger than he was. William started to choke Brian and didn't stop until he saw his eyes roll backwards in his head. There was no time left now. Olivia could wake up any minute. William quickly blindfolded her with some shirt lying around and lifted her into his arms, grabbed the bag and picked up Olivia's gun from the kitchen counter. He ran down the stairs and looked on the street to see if anyone's around, he was lucky this time. He opened the van and threw her inside. William closed the doors and made sure to lock them well, Olivia was his now. He longed for her, to see her hurt like a small prey. William walked to the front of the van, got inside, turned the keys and drove off. A sigh of relief escaped his mouth, he didn't realise it was going to be this hard. There just was something about her he couldn't place, something so strong he hadn't seen in anyone else.
After some time, Olivia started to wake up. It was mostly the noises that woke her up. It sounded so loud in the back of the van. Like slamming car doors right next to her. Maybe it was her heightened senses because she was still blindfolded. The van was still moving so she took the opportunity and tried to stand up, the van turned left quite fast and it made her fall on the van's side wall. It was really difficult to do much in this state in moving car. She felt panicking feeling taking over her body, like a mouse caught in a box completely disoriented, but Olivia knew this was her best opportunity to try and escape. Kidnappers always tend to make some mistakes or aren't prepared enough for the victim to fight back. After another turn, she fell to the ground but on her knees this time and she didn't try to get up anymore, instead she sat down and put her head to her feet and with a few rough moves, managed to get the shirt that blindfolded her off. Now she was at least little less disoriented even though the van itself was pretty dark.
William drove for another 15 minutes until he arrived at an old house which once belonged to his grandmother. It has been empty for ages and it was hidden in woods, therefore it's a great place to hide Olivia.
When she felt the van stop, Olivia stood up in the middle, waiting for him to open the door. Meanwhile William got out of the van, thinking she might try to attack him since she's a fierce woman. He never actually kidnapped someone who has balls and dares to fight him like Olivia does. Every woman he ever captured was too weak and scared to do anything in fear of getting killed. This was partly what he liked about Olivia, it's like a new adventure. A mission, to try and find out what makes her break completely. He chuckled to himself, silly girl. "We've arrived." William said as he opened the door. The sudden light pretty much disoriented Olivia again. Nevertheless, she ran fast out of the van, hence the warrior scream that came out against the silver tape that was on her mouth, jumping right at him, pinning him to the ground with her thighs around his neck. William grunted, he should've seen this coming. Olivia landed on his neck, her thighs tightly around and in a second they both were on the ground, she didn't have time to look around and she couldn't use her hands so she was choking him with all the strength she had, seeing him struggle. She had hoped that the strong hit to the ground would knock him out but he was barley shaken. What a fucking psychopath but what could she expect when he burned his own fingerprints off just to not get caught and mess with police? Just like he told her in the interrogation room that he barley feels pain and learnt to control it. So unless she'd beat him to death he probably wouldn't even wink. Olivia looked down at his face angrily, breathing hard. She was tired and thirsty and didn't eat so that also doesn't exactly support your best performance. "Have you been practicing, Olivia?" An evil laugh followed his question. William didn't like this move of her, but it's cute how she's trying to get away from him. Especially since the whole area around his grandma's house is surrounded with gates. They weren't clearly visible, his grandma owned a lot of ground as she was very rich. The gates were high, which was for the safety against bears, wolves and other animals in the forest. William remembered when he was sitting in the living room with his drunk dad and grandparents. A wolf was outside with his grandparent's cat dead in his mouth. For him it was a good and interesting day because something exciting had happened but his grandparents were completely heartbroken. That's what made them build a large gate around their ground, they didn't want any other incident to happen. To get out of the gate you had to have a special key, which his grandparents left to him. Oh if only they knew...
"You're a little shit, you know that Olivia? You can't run. You cant go anywhere or do anything. We're in the middle of nowhere! Who's gonna find you?! Your little colleagues? Your boyfriend? Oh wait... Too bad he passed away just about two hours ago." William had a dirty grin on his face. He loved to play with her feelings, and it's not like he's lying. Olivia didn't want to let him inside her head. She put up a wall to everything he said to her because if he would get inside her head it would be even harder to survive. When William said her boyfriend passed away two hours ago she felt extreme pain and sadness. Is he really dead? Brian, her boyfriend, did he really die just few inches away from her while she was unconscious and cuffed? Guilt poured all over her body. Because she was there, she could have stopped it, she could have protected him..somehow.., it's her fault, he went there looking for her because of her. It was her fault that he's dead.
"Neither of us have a phone or any communication device with us. There also isn't any in the house. Even if you find anything you won't have any service anyway. You're ALONE, Olivia. Nobody is searching for you." Excitement rushed through his body, this was his best catch yet. A damn police officer. William shook his head thinking about what Olivia would do next, she has no choice but to surrender. He can only imagine the lost look on her face when she realises she can't run because of the gates.
[You're ALONE, Olivia] echoed inside her head. No. That's not true. They're looking for me, she reassured herself again. That was the only way how to not break down right now which would be the last thing she would need.
William lifted his arms and let both of his hands slide underneath her shirt, touching her nude breasts. He knew how much she hates him, which only makes this more exciting. Olivia flinched at the feeling of his cold hands on her breast and pushed her knees deeper into his neck, making it hurt a bit more, but he was strong and she didn't stand a chance when he flipped her over off him like a rag doll. William looked at her as if she was a piece of filth. Pointing her own gun at her. "Come."
Olivia couldn't really do much but obey so far, because he was pointing a gun at her, if she wanted to live, she had to swallow her pride and listen. Which she hated. Yeah, just wait, tough guy, she thought to herself. She already had a plan of beating the shit out of him after she escapes or gets rescued. You could tell she was still pretty much in hope and wouldn't be easy to break no matter what he said to her. William pulled her up quickly by her arm and he dragged her into the house, she turned her head for a bit quickly mapping the outdoors before disappearing inside the house. When they got inside, he tore the tape off her mouth. She looked at him disgusted and feeling defeated "You know what? Shoot me." Olivia said to him with cold tone in her voice.
William looked at Olivia, she looked like some hopeless prey. "Shoot you?" He repeated, and scoffed. "That's gonna be way too easy. No, you belong to me now. Sure, I'll finish you off eventually but what's the use now? I didn't even get to enjoy you yet" William licked his lips and looked at her from the head to the toes. He felt like he just won the lottery. "Sit." He told her as if she's a dog, pointing the gun at her again. "I could do it you know. Obey me, do the opposite? You will be joining your boyfriend really soon." Olivia slowly sat down and searched the room with her eyes, looking for any kind of weapon she could use when she will free herself. He strapped her down to the chair with tape until she couldn't even move her body without falling over with the chair. She didn't talk, just watched him, studying his moves. "Of course I know all about you. Thats why i'm going to make you your favourite food, pizza. Don't worry, It's not poison." William whistled and left to the kitchen, while cooking, he kept checking on if Olivia didn't figure out a way to break loose. Meanwhile she was trying to find a way out. The window was pretty high and she couldn't really see out, wouldn't work to jump out of it then she looked over at the door, pretty basic, could be broken down with a few kicks or body weight, she thought. Okay that's it, not the window, maybe the door. Then she looked down at herself mapping the floor then the tape, it was strong and not the type you could just tear apart, the chair was wooden, older, maybe breaking it against something. Another puzzle in her plan.
This was quite nice, right? He felt at home. Maybe because this was the house where he first encountered death and horror. He put the last things on the pizza and put it into the oven. He set the timer of the oven, grabbed a pack of cigarettes and a lighter and walked over to Olivia lighting a cigarette. Olivia coughed, she hated the smell, and certainly her lungs didn't like it either. The first thing that went over her head was one of his victims, older woman than Olivia, but her whole body was covered in cigarette burns. He's not gonna do that to me, she was shaking her head, breaking the memory and being back in reality. William pulled her hair hard making her head bend backwards while standing behind her right shoulder. "You're going to have to get used to me Olivia, I'm the only person you have left. She was looking up at his face and you could tell there was fear in her eyes. She didn't know what to expect from him. "I hope you also realise that what I'm doing for you now isn't something I normally do, making you dinner, I'm disgusted." William said in a hoarse voice and he burned her lower neck with cigarette "Ahhhh!" Olivia screamed out with deep voice almost like growling animal. He continued and burned her chest. It wasn't like any other pain she ever felt. It wasn't like the pain when you get hit or cut or burned with candle. It burned, of course but this was so much more, truly felt like a damn lighting striking her skin. He let go of her hair and put the cigarette back in his mouth and walked around the chair, stopping in front of her. "Don't get used to it. I only do this now because everything succeeded. Sadly with some unfortunate circumstances, like your boyfriend getting into the way, but thats not a problem anymore. If he just came 5 minutes later he wouldn't have had to die. Quite a shame actually, he looked like a nice guy." Olivia was looking into his eyes this time, but with so much anger and hate, and disgust. Especially when he mentioned the death of her boyfriend again. She wanted to kick and scream but couldn't move. "You're a true low life." Olivia murmured. William looked at her for a second and then kicked her in her stomach, causing Olivia to fall backwards on the ground in her chair. She felt dull pain in her stomach, a bit like her organs just changed places and then her body hit the ground together with the chair. That almost took her breath away.
"A what, you ungrateful bitch?!" William yelled and he spit in her face. "Thought you would appreciate the pizza a bit more than this? I could throw you down in the basement and lock you up cold, hungry and alone too if that's what you prefer?" He said and put his foot on her cheek, turning her head to the side. Olivia was lying there, in pain, with spit in her face, she couldn't help but wonder what if it could be worse than this. Was he serious about what he said? What if her team won't find her? She started to think, maybe if she got him to trust her, she could simply use his mistake one day and escape, but she hated him so much. How could she ever even remotely be nice to a monster like him? She whimpered when he put his foot on her cheek. I would gladly break that fucking leg of yours, she thought. But making him more angry might make her end up in even worse situation so she decided to play it neutral "No don't do that.." she said calmly "Will, you can still let me go you know. I wouldn't say anything." She tried knowing he's too much of a psycho to listen to her words rationally. William scoffed again and rolled his eyes. "Don't you realise it goes deeper than this? Olivia, this isn't just some accident. It's also not just a hobby of mine, it's a lifestyle." He sighed, cops and their stupid mind games... William wasn't as stupid as she thought he would be, clearly, she underestimated him. He pulled the chair up and looked deeply into her eyes as he lifted her chin up. She saw him getting angrier and angrier but tried again. Maybe this was her only chance to try and change his mind "I am a police officer, no matter how hard you try, they will find me and you will go to prison for a very long time. I'm giving you a chance to forget this ever happened and you can leave to a different state or country." Olivia nodded as she was searching for his eyes "I know you're smart enough to think this through, don't make another mistake."
"I thought about this plan every second you were with me in that interrogation room! I've planned it all out, nobody is going to find you!" He was yelling at her, explaining his perfect plan angrily. "I've had enough to think about when I was in jail, and I'm most certainly not letting such a disrespectful cunt be the reason I go to prison!"
Before Olivia could say anything, William started to punch her in the face. She let out a broken moan out of her mouth. But he continued punching her. The pain was so bad leaving her dizzy and her face rather paralysed, all she could see was blackness and white noise like when you rub eyes when you're tired. She heard his knuckles hit her bones, she was whimpering in pain at this point. When he finally stopped, Olivia looked at him and spit in his face, now it wasn't just her saliva but also blood coming out of her torn lip from the beating.
What the fuck is her deal with spitting in my face? William wondered annoyed wiping her spit off his face and then he licked it off his finger. Tasting her. Luckily for her the oven started beeping and he shrugged "Dinner is ready." leaving to the kitchen again.
Olivia felt like she just got hit by a car. On top of that she was sleep deprived, thirsty and even thought she didn't want to admit that to him, hungry. But that the least of her problems. She wanted to live, she wanted to make it out alive. When William captured, she felt fear and uncertainty, about what he's gonna do to her. She would have preferred for him to shoot her and get it over with. She thought maybe he just wanted revenge for capturing him, but soon Olivia realised he wanted much more. She knew what he's capable of, he wasn't just some random little boy with anger for women because his girlfriend left him. He meant all of the things he did, he enjoyed it and he didn't care. Her will to survive was even stronger now, because if she could survive this so far, she wouldn't go down without a fight. Olivia wasn't giving up and would try any possible way to get out of this situation. She was looking at his angry face with empty look, still regretting the fact that she let her guard down and that's the main reason why she's where she is now, she felt guilty for not trying harder to keep him in jail, but who would have thought that he's gonna come after her? Why did he wanted her so badly to the point he didn't care whether he'd go back to jail again or not? Her mind was like never ending hole filling up with thoughts.
William came back with the pizza and a bottle of vodka. She could smell the food, being hungry you'd think she would die for at least a piece of some food but no, the empty stomach made her feel more alive and in control of her body, which was the only thing she could control.
"Bon appétit." William smiled and took a bite of his pizza, feeling the warm cheese on his tongue. He also put chicken and pineapple on it, along with the usual stuff that goes on pizzas. He picked up another piece but put it in front of her face, holding a gun underneath her chin with another hand. "Eat it, I need you alive."
Maybe if she wasn't eating, he would be scared that she's gonna die sooner than he wants, Olivia thought and that's what she wanted, she wanted him to get nervous and make mistakes. She looked up at him right in his eyes and flinched slightly as he put the gun underneath her chin. Olivia shook her head, she wasn't gonna eat. She was sure that he wouldn't shoot her, because as he said himself he wanted to keep her for now, enjoy her, see her suffer, he never killed his victims before he could enjoy their suffering, but his constant threats on her life were messing with her head. It's not hard to imagine that he might enjoy assaulting her cold dead body.
"I said, eat it!" William yelled at her. He put all of his effort in this pizza and wasn't going to let it go to waste. Olivia also had to understand he was the one in control, not her. She was nothing more than his little obedient pet. William hit her chin with the gun and fired it while quickly pointing at a dusty corner in the living room.
Olivia's eyes were tightly closed almost as if she wanted to curl her whole face in like when hedgehog feels threatened. But she wasn't dead, she could feel her heartbeat so she opened her eyes, you could tell she was truly terrified for the first time with him. She was scared even before, of course she was, but when you're finally so close to death and it's so unexpected it's different kind of fear.
"I mean it." William said and forced half of a slice down her throat, using his hands to open her mouth. He grabbed tape and put it over her mouth again, this way she wouldn't be able to spit it out. Olivia wanted to vomit, but he put the tape over her painful torn lip so she had no other choice but to swallow, she couldn't even bite, she just swallowed, the feeling of the big piece of pizza falling and pushing though her esophagus hurt. Why does he care about whether she eats or not? She thought, of course he wants to keep her alive but it's not like you can't survive for a few days without food. Was it that he wanted her to have enough strength to fight him? In the end she knew that it's what he likes, he liked to see his victims trying to fight back and then overpower them and see the last bit of hope fading away from their eyes.
"You have so much to learn princess." William tutted and touched her face. The bruises already forming, which he loved, but it's not enough yet, he could see she still has hope in her eyes. Hope someone would come save her and hope she would be able to overpower him and escape. He laughed at that thought, she always thought that she's so smart and able to find the solution to every problem, but that was before she met him. Shaking his head still laughing at these thoughts he stood up and grabbed the bottle of vodka. "You haven't drank in some time you must be really thirsty, aren't you?"
Olivia was so thirsty especially now after he forced her to eat. But not this, not alcohol, not vodka. She craved clean plain water, she imagined the feeling of water hitting your tongue and water spreading through your whole body when you finally drink after being thirsty for long. She felt like those lost tourists in desert searching for oasis. He ripped the tape off her mouth, it was stinging and burning, the glue on it was strong.
William started forcing the vodka down her throat, it was so much she wasn't even swallowing anymore and it was overflowing her mouth, making her open wounds sting as hell. It was burning her dry throat. It wasn't like oasis it was like pouring hot water on already burned wound. She started choking, couldn't breathe, gasping for air. She was starting to think, is this how I'm gonna die?
He stopped and put the tape back on.
The terror continued.
William took a sip of the vodka himself and looked at Olivia, choking. That was it, the suffering that aroused him. He bent down a bit, grabbed her face in his big hands and kissed her lips over the tape aggressively. She let out a moan out of her mouth against the tape, she was disgusted, pulling away from his face. William kicked Olivia to the ground again and started to pour the vodka all over her head and body, she closed her eyes trying to protect them from it. The smell was terrible, all she could smell was the vodka in her wet hair and soaking wet clothes, pain from her burning wounds. It's almost like he wanted to erase her, her personality, her last bit of herself she kept, as she couldn't even smell her own smell anymore.
William smiled triumphantly when he saw how weak and scared she looked. This is what she truly deserved. As he noticed in the interrogation room she always wanted to understand her victims and criminals so badly, so giving her this experience seemed good to him. William bent down to the ground to sit in front of Olivia. "You're a victim now Olivia. I'm going to do to you whatever I please." It was like a nightmare but something she just couldn't wake up from. She just wanted to live, survive and see him suffer. She actually desperately wanted to kill him, in any way you could imagine. I'm no victim William, she wanted to scream at him but couldn't. She murmured against the tape on her mouth, but with every movement of her lips, it hurt. She wanted to scream at him that he's the victim, victim of his own fucked up mind. He moved some hair out of her face and flinched against his hand, caressing her cheek, hating the way he was touching her. William started to caress her breasts and she felt even more disgusting than ever. Dirty. Used. She looked away, couldn't stand seeing his face and that's when she got an idea. Of course her mind was full of ideas, hundreds ways of she could escape, waiting for his mistake. No matter how scared, angry or hurt she would be, Olivia would never stop trying or give up hope.
There was a reason he did stuff like this. Olivia was a hard woman to break, he knew that. That's why he came up with a new method. Usually William only hurts his victims and kill them when he gets bored, but he feels like Olivia isn't going to bore him at all. He needed to treat her kindly during all the torture at times to give her hope. Only then, he would be able to break her completely. When she realises that all hope is gone. He needed to manipulate her. He could see she had a high pain tolerance, as most of his victims already scream when he slaps them. No, he had to take this woman out both physically and emotionally. Like a new challenge.
William pulled her up with the chair, she felt like some powerless bug that keeps getting flipped on their back and can't get back up without help. He grabbed her hair while pulling it, making her look into his eyes. There was a slight whimper heard against the tape on her mouth. William removed the tape "Tell me how you feel Olivia."
She took a deep breath, but not giving him any satisfaction by screaming in pain. "I feel.." Olivia murmured but you could barley hear it. She wanted him to come closer, giving him empty but broken look. William looked at her with an interesting look on his face. "You what?" He said in a belittling voice. She looked so defenceless, so broken. It was attractive to him. He was only few inches away from her face. Olivia tilted her head to the side playfully and suddenly bit his neck, she bit it so hard like an animal trying to dig as deep as she could, aiming for his neck artery. She couldn't use her hands or her body but she could use her mouth and that was the mistake she was waiting for, removing the tape and being close enough to her. Immediately headbutting him as hard as she could. It made her dizzy even more now, as she probably had some concussion and was a bit intoxicated, but she wasn't going down without a fight. Olivia was trying her best to break the tape or get out of it somehow so she could get him unconscious to escape. William almost fell backwards, it was a weak spot which hurt extremely. He screamed out but it wasn't enough to knock him out. He felt rage for her. As he got up and started to yell, she was staring at him, dead eyes, angry. She was angry that she didn't manage to knock him out because so far this was her best plan. She was in that kind of state when you don't really care anymore and risk your life, she knew she's risking her life, he was unstable psychopath who could have killed her any moment, but soon his torture would kill her anyway. His face looked terrifying, he was all red and had a lot of wrinkles in his face. Then he slapped her so hard his hand was imprinted on her cheek, she could see the saliva flying across the room out of her mouth and skin inside of her mouth crashing against her teeth making the inside of her mouth bleed. Without any break or hesitation he started to pour the vodka down her neck again, making it burn. She was starting to have tears in her eyes but didn't cry, no, she'd never show him that kind of weakness. She was choking on it and it was overflowing her mouth as her put the tape back and not being able to spit it out anymore. Then he removed the tape from the chair. Freedom, that's what she felt. No, she didn't think he's letting her go and she knew she probably doesn't have much of a chance to run away from him, but the tightness and pain from being taped to chair was gone and thats as close to freedom as it could get for her right now.
"Stand up." William hissed.
His words echoing in her head but also around the room, she felt weird, as if he was talking to her through some glass, soon she realised he's gotten her pretty wasted. Olivia looked at him, noticing his neck bleeding from her bite, still sitting on the chair. Her eyes rolled back inside her head, you could tell she was really drunk. She didn't get up, not because she didn't want to but she couldn't. Olivia's body was noticing the pain from all the beatings more now as before she was so paralysed from being in same position.
William saw the last bit of vodka really did its thing. He grabbed her arm and dragged her across the room and to the hall. Olivia didn't want to be dragged around like some strengthless child so when he grabbed her arm and kind of dragged her across the room, she walked with him but her feet didn't know if left is right or right is left, almost like her legs are tangling together. She was so dizzy and everything was spinning around her like on a carousel. Her eyes kept closing and open as she was so close to passing out, seeing the room moving in different direction now meaning he's taking her somewhere else. Olivia was trying to keep her eyes open and make any sense of where he's taking her but everything was too blurry.
William opened a big door with a key from his pocket. He walked inside and threw her on the cold stone floor. She made a whimpering noise, it hurt but that was the least of everything. Olivia was defenceless against a great beast like him and that made him smirk. William looked around. The basement didn't have any windows. There was a small grate on top of the high walls, just right for letting her breathe. On the ceiling a single light bulb in the middle of the room shining weakly. Olivia was dropped right underneath that bulb. He could see her more clearly now, she looked absolutely wasted, dirty and scarred. There was blood on her skin and clothes, which reminded him of his neck. He put his hand on his neck and felt something thick. Blood. He rolled his eyes and started thinking. Olivia wasn't much use to him anymore now since she was intoxicated and didn't show much reaction anymore. No, he would wait until tomorrow morning.
"I'll be back with a surprise." William said, as he closed the big door and locked her in.
