TRIVIA: Any ideas on what Jack's idea is, why he takes out his phone?
?-?
"I just got a call from a Detective James from Wanblee South Dakota." Sarah explained. "He said that a month ago, he busted a meth lab, and the perp got away in a car. Before the car sped away, they put a tracker on the car. About a mile from the lab, the tracker went offline until about an hour ago, when it came back online again, in Virginia."
"That's a long way away from home." Jack said.
She nodded. "Suffice to say, he's taking the first flight out so he can finally arrest this guy, and have closure."
"And we are to help him, I suppose?" Myles asked. Sarah nodded in reply.
"Do we have access to the tracker so we can start the stakeout process?" Bobby asked. "We don't want him to get away again."
She nodded. "They're sending the info to Mya as we speak."
Almost perfectly in time, Mya's computer dinged. "And here it is!" She exclaimed.
"So where's the car?" Bobby asked, getting up to look at the map.
"It's parked in the driveway of a home. Hold on a sec, and I'll get of who." She replied, typing away, then stopping. "The home of Krissy and Connor Moore. Connor, he's a," She said, pausing to look up more info. "A finance guy."
Jack looked at Bobby and shrugged. "Doesn't sound like a drug dealer."
Mya shook her head. "No, this house is surely not. Very nice neighborhood."
"So what do you think we have here? A hostage situation?" He asked.
She shook her head. "I don't know."
"How about we be proactive, go there, quietly check it out, then if everything seems to be alright, we'll wait for the detective?" Bobby asked.
"I like that idea." Jack said, pointing at his friend. "Let's get ready!" He announced, then everyone got ready to go.
?-?
"SAM 3-1, what's your status?" Mya asked from the surveillance van to the aagnts that were discreetly checking around the house.
"Checking out the back windows. Clear." Bobby replied.
"Also clear on the west side windows. SAM 3-3?" Jack asked.
"I have a Mother and infant in the front room on the east side, they do not seem to be under duress." Myles replied.
"And no one else seems to be in the home?" Jack asked as he walked back to the surveillance van, which was parked a few houses down.
"Negative." The two agents replied.
Jack frowned, walking backwards towards the van for a few feet, looking at the car in question. "Mya, are you sure that's the right car?"
"As sure as I know you are about to bang into a light post." She replied.
Hearing that, Jack quickly turned around, and walked right into a light post. "Ow!" He exclaimed, rubbing his head. Everyone chuckled, hearing him groan. "Who's stupid idea was to put a light post in the middle of a sidewalk!" He yelled, walking around the post, to the van.
"In the light posts' defense, it is on the edge of the sidewalk." Mya replied when he walked inside. Jack just glared at her, still rubbing his head.
"Hold up guys, we have movement." Bobby said seriously, quickly forgetting the silliness when he saw a car pull up into the driveway, hiding in the bushes nearby, since he was just about to pop out of them before he saw the car.
"Can you get the plate? I can run it." Mya asked.
"BZE 825." Bobby replied just before the man exited the car.
Mya quickly entered the numbers. "It's the husband." She announced as they all watched him walk up the path, use his key, and enter the house.
"So our hostage amount could've just increased." Jack said.
"Or, he could just be coming home to visit his wife and baby." Myles said, watching him happily walk into the room where Mother and baby were playing, the wife excited to see him, getting up to kiss him.
Jack frowned. "Something's wrong with this picture."
"Too bad we promised to stay back till the detective came."
"But I have an idea on how to get some intel while we wait." He replied, smiling widely as she took out his phone.
