So this is my next update and I hope everyone likes it. Please consider reviewing, I always encourage constructive criticism and would love to know if I made some mistake grammar or otherwise.
As Elena was walking out of our last class, I quickly grabbed her hand, she looked at me startled, "You going to the cemetery."
"Yes, I just want to tell them about my day."
" I am coming."
"You are?"
" Yeah I mean I haven't been there since the funeral..."
"No, I just thought that you would like to go there alone since..." she let that sentence trail off and it made me wince as I realized how I had practically put all the blame of my parent's death on her.
"No, I would like to go with you." She smiled.
'' That's great Jules. Come on." One step at a time. First I need to mend my relationship with my sister.
Although I have heard pretty creepy stories about graveyards before, I had never really believed in one. But as we made our way there was this crow that kept stalking us, and it was making me legit uncomfortable. I stared at the grave of my parents with an air of solemnity. It seemed wrong that after their death the lives of two people ended in two words
'Loving Parents.'
I was brought out of my reviver by Elena's voice," Okay. Hi, bird." I looked back to see her talking to the same crow that was stalking us, it just cawed,
"That's not creepy or anything." we both said at the same time and exchanged glances as it brought back pleasant memories of all the time we did the twin talk. Before I noticed the fog, "Okay what is going on with the fog. It's summertime." I said a little creeped out. Elena tried to make the crow go away but it just won't leave. "Right we are leaving," I said as I picked up my bag she followed after me. As we both rushed down I heard the sound of someone falling, "Elena hurry up, like seriously." As I continued running to my home. This graveyard was giving me creeps. I trusted my twin to find her way back as I decided to pay Matty a little visit too much sister bonding for today, I cannot take more. On the other hand, I really should have tried to have helped her get up, If it was me who fell, Elena would have but I was not Elena, I was Julia. Little did I know then that my selfish attitude gave my sister some alone time with the new guy.
I found Matt at the far with guess whom, World-class Jackass Tyler Lockwood, Tyler, and I do not have bad blood per se, but I did felt angry at him when he rejected my advances saying that Elena would kill him slowly if both of them hooked up. And then people say why I and my sister do not have a good relationship.
"Hello, boys."
"Julia," Matt said with a pleased smile and I smiled back as he took a chair out from another table to make some space for me while Tyler simply said a, "Hey"
I looked at him and said, "So heard you and Jeremy have the same love interest if it could be called a love interest I mean your interest in Vicki, not Vicki herself." throwing a cautious glance at Matt.
" Really who told you that ?"
"Well, I and Elena had some bonding time."
"Really?" they both said at once surprise and disbelief clearly etched on their faces. Yup I and my sister have terrible relations at present although it certainly hadn't been for her lack of trying as she had toiled enough to work on improving them. We went into idle chitchat for some time until I saw Bonnie and Caroline enter. Caroline was saying something, I moved out of my seat as I made my way towards them, I heard her say,
"He lives with his uncle up at the old Salvatore boarding house. He hasn't lived here since he was a kid. Military family, so they never settled in one place for too long. He's a Gemini and his favorite color is blue."
Bonnie was a little awed at her friend. "You got all of that in one day?"
Caroline grinned. "Oh, puh-lease, I got all that between third and fourth period. We are planning a June wedding?"
"Who is planning a June wedding?" I asked already dreading the answer ." Me and Stefan Salvatore." she replied. Bonnie looked a little tense.
"Excuse me, I have called dibs on him," I said looking more than a little cross.
" Really since when..?" she said getting a little aggressive. " I told Bonnie about it in History." We both looked at her she raised her hands in surrender, "No, I am so not getting in the middle of it, I will just hang with Matt. You can use Tyler as the judge " she said, looking at Tyler who was making his way here. We both continued arguing in hushed whispers as Tyler just looked at us in amusement. Before he finally interrupted," Ladies I think you have another competitor in your affections for the new guy" he said in an amused tone, and when I looked there I felt bile rise in my throat as I looked to see Elena and Stefan enter together and I could literally hear Bonnie saying in my ear, He is staring at Elena,
'No, this time it will not be Elena or Caroline or anyone, it will be me, no one else. And maybe Elena can have Matt right, he is still not over her and she was with him and she was happy. Yeah! she was happy. And I am totally not being selfish, I am not using Matt I am just playing Matchmaker because...because Yeah! Stefan is not good for her, he is good for me, only me no one else, and this time I am not letting it go.'I thought as Elena started introducing Stefan to everyone.
So, you were born in Mystic Falls?" Caroline asked Stefan, who was currently under interrogation.
He nodded. "Mhm. And I moved when I still young."
"Parents?" Bonnie inquired.
"My parents passed away."
"Oh, I'm sorry," Elena said.
"Any siblings? Boyfriend, girlfriend?" I questioned, desperate to keep his attention off her. It worked, he looked at me
"None that I talk to, and no I am single," Stefan said. "I live with my uncle."
'YES' my mind screamed at me and Caroline even seemed pleased at that. But it was quickly diminished when both of us saw that he had moved his attention back to Elena with the uncle part.
"Zach Salvatore, right," she said, smiling.
"Yeah" he smiled back.
"It's great that you are single, everyone here except Elena is single too. She's with Matt, they had been dating for almost two years now." I said, trying it to sound gushing.
"Really," he said looking surprised and I was disappointed to see that his gaze had still not left Elena's face.
"No me and Matt broke up, four months ago, Julia still thinks that we will get back together, they both are best friends you see." she explained.
"So, Stefan, if you're new, then you don't know about the party tomorrow," Caroline said, she had also been taken with Stefan's charm and hot back.
"It's a back-to-school thing at the falls," Bonnie informed him.
He looked to Elena. "Are you going?"
Julia scowled. Of course, it was Elena. Everyone loves, Elena. But she wasn't giving up just yet
"Of course she is," Bonnie but in.
Elena smiled softly, smitten with the boy in front of her.
"The Battle of Willow Creek took place right at the end of the war in our very own Mystic Falls. How many casualties resulted in this battle? Ms. Bennett?"
Bonnie straightened up as Tanner's unhelpful gaze landed on her. "Um... a lot? I'm not sure. Like a whole lot."
The class laughed, but Tanner wasn't amused. "Cute becomes dumb in an instant, Ms. Bennett. Mr. Donovan? Would you like to take this opportunity to overcome your embedded jock stereotype?"
Matt smiled goofily. And Julia glanced at him already knowing that there was no way he knew that answer, Matt hated history.
"It's okay, Mr. Tanner, I'm cool with it."
"Hm. Miss Gilbert?" Julia looked up, there was no question who Mr. Tanner was referring to he always called Elena by her first name, even teachers have favorites nowadays but this time she knew it was not because of looks, Julia knew that Elena loved History she was a diligent student until the car accident after which she had not been as good and although she knew Mr. Tanner would never admit it out loud, he did miss his favorite student excellent work
"Eh..." She peeked into her history book, only turning over the corners.
"No cheating," he said stonily.
She plopped back into her chair, making it bounce back. The class laughed once again.
"I don't know sir."
He sighed. "Elena? Surely you can enlighten us about one of the town's most significant historical events?"
Elena was just as oblivious as the rest of us. "I'm sorry, I-I don't know."
"I was willing to be lenient last year for obvious reasons, girls. But the personal excuses ended with summer break."
That wasn't fair at all. It was like putting a timer on their grieving period.
Stefan Salvatore apparently had a brain inside that pretty head of his. "There were three hundred and forty-six casualties. Unless you're counting local civilians."
Tanner was impressed "That's correct. Mister..."
"Salvatore."
"Salvatore. Any relation to the original settlers here at Mystic Falls?"
"Distant."
"Well, very good. Except..." A smirk crept upon his face. "...of course, there were no civilian casualties in this battle."
"Actually, there were twenty-six, sir. Confederate soldiers, they fired on the church, believing it to be housing weapons. They were wrong. It was a night of great loss. The founder's archives are, uh, stored in the civil hall if you'd like to brush up on your facts. Mr. Tanner."
The class 'oohed' and chuckled as Mr. Tanner made a sour face
