Mega Derek ZX Isekai: The Equus Journey
Chapter 2: A Hopeless Boss Fight
Navy and I begin walking through the Tunnels, only to see some kind of live obstacles. Looks like from one of the Mega Man Games.
"Metools." I said, recognizing the Yellow Hard Hat. "Vulnerable when it peeks out." like now! I jumped over before the three way shots hit me, Navy followed me.
"I got an idea for this." Navy positions and does a Kick, which knocks the Hard hat to upside down. It kicks the feet in the air, struggling to get back to the balance. "Now, Use your Charge Shot."
I nodded and charge up, before thrusting my Halberd and firing a small orange Lightning Bolt. It decimated this Weak Metool. But from my understanding, it must also have another charge level.
I look to the direction we're going, and find a group of leather armored swordsman, preparing to cut us down.
"Take care, Derek." Navy warned me, "While we have those Gaming Powers, there is no Second Chance. Death is Permanent for our lives." and I nodded, before raising my Halberd.
The first two ones, running up forth, as I raise my Halberd and parry it's blocks. I pushed it back and swing my halberd, cutting two of them in pieces.
I see one firing an Arrow, too late to dodge, so I better take it. 3 Damage to my Life Bar. Not bad. Another Arrow and I jump over, before thrusting my Halberd and destroying it.
I see Navy Sapphire with her CY Options, which look like Sattelites. Buster Shots fired as Navy does so, keeping the other half back and unable to sponge anymore bullets. As for me, parrying with my H-Halberd and swinging back. Quick charging for Lightning Bolt Shots, shooting each down.
I see two Spellcasters coming. In their robes which means lower defense, but was called Glass Cannons for a reason. Unless they put up a Barrier.
They start chanting.
"Alter the laws of physics." they both said, "Tidal Death Thunder!" Navy flew up and grabbed me, flying up from the blast of the windy plus electrical beam. I raise the H-Halberd for charging, before firing. One lightning bolt electrocuting the lefty, before I drop and let Navy fire their showers of buster bullets. Taking this one down.
Moving on, we reach the next area with floor of Spikes.
"Those will kill us on touch." Navy gasped, "Let's use our Glide Ability." I nodded and open the Jet wings on my back, as Navy the second with the buzzing wings. We navigate through the spikeful area before reaching the tunnel. But with four-legged creatures that look like.
"Ponies?" I said, "I recall Captain Topaz saying Ponies have grown hostile after the Assassination Incident."
"He's correct." Navy said, as I see those Unicorn's horn surrounding with the magic aura, before firing magic bolts. We started dodging, as Navy fired her buster shots, downing the two first unicorns.
"Navy! There's more!" called the CY model, "I zoomed in to find more galloping to here."
I look to find another tunnel. "This way?" I pointed and asked,
"Oh! That's right! We came from here." Navy said, and I followed her to this new tunnel. Well we've made it. But there's a Hi-Tech Door. "I don't have a good feeling about this. Let's keep our guard up." We go through the door, open and close. A pony behind is right there. Has Hi-Tech Red Armor guarding the white pony with brighter pale brown mane. A She, so it's a mare, and she is glaring at my Hippogriff Ally.
"Never thought I would see you again, Hippogriff. You caused too much trouble, and I cannot let it slide anymore." she began, "You yet again stole another Bio Medal, and turned the rest against us ponies! I cannot forgive you for this!"
"I did it because you want to use the powers for Revenge." Navy Sapphire said, "That is never the answer."
"I don't care if that's the answer!" she shouted, "You have meddle too much, and sabotaged everything. I, Pasty Star, will kill you, Navy Sapphire!"
I was just going to raise my H-Halberd, but Navy raised her wing to block me. "Let me take care of her." She takes flight and call her Yammar Options, surrounding and started firing her buster shots. The Pastel Star mare brandish her Laser Sword levitated with her unicorn magic, and started deflecting everything.
Navy flies to behind and dives in for a Kick, only to be blocked before swinging her Laser Sword again, just for Navy to fly up and out of the way. Satellites positioned from above before showering pellets, which Pastel started blocking. Navy was able to land a hit from the side, sending her flying.
She stopped the launch however and used her open mouth to fire Plasma Shots. I was able to jump out of the way as Navy flying first. Here comes Pastel galloping up with her Laser Sword, flurry of swings and slashes sent, while Navy Sapphire started doging, before blasting her with Yammar Satellites from behind. Nice one from behind. Though I feel worried she is using too much of her Weapon Energy. She's down to six before another tank has to be used.
She should know Gliding is taxing one per second. Guess she already knows, but she better not get over confident.
Pastel fires another beam of plasma, while Navy flew out of the way. Hmm? What's this electrical thing coating Navy?
"Overdrive Engaged!" she called out, and now I see her Weapon Energy now Taxing two Pixes of Weapon Energy per second. I watch her aim her buster gun with her Yammar Option and fire. Lasers launched out of the guns, showering and stopping. Pastel's sword swings not fast enough to block as much of it before few gets a hit-in. Only few stings before her Laser Sword breaks and her caught in the shower.
"NO WAY!" Pastel yelled in defeat, knocked down to the ground.
Navy walks up to Pastel Star, looking down at the defeated warrior.
"You should know by now, Pastel. Revenge will not help you bring back the lost lives. Not even the Princess who was assassinated." she said, but Pastel growled,
"Shut up, murderer! Stop playing nice and just kill me." Pastel demanded,
"No, I will not do that." Navy glared back, "Unlike you, I do not kill with extreme prejudice. Now, please listen to me. We are n-"
"Then I will do it for you." said a voice not from them, but from someone else. In a snapping speed, flying laser shot from behind and to Pastel's head! It happened in just less than a second! But it was just a flying arrow. I turn around, and see a leather clothed person. It has this weird emblem. Lines that looks like an arrow, but halfly a sword. That's a Zodiac. Sagittarius, is it? "I found you, Navy. And you must be Derek Ruth, another one of those Mega Freaks."
"Asterisk, Mega Man!" I corrected him,
"You must be part of the Gang, Zodiac Twelve!" Navy accused,
"That you are right, Pigeon." he nodded, "I am Yudaki, Body of Sagittarius. Wielder of the Citrine Zodiac LongBow." and introduced himself, "Our duty as the Zodiac XII is ensure Humanity lives on, and no other species. You however," he points at me, "Are excluded."
"What do you mean Excluded?" I asked, "I'm human too, am I?"
"But your Zodiac is Capricorn." he said, "The Zodiac that all gods prophesied it to be evil." and he draws his bow, "Therefore, they all must die."
"Is that the excuse you used to Kill someone who could've been your trustworthy-" Navy said but was cut off when he shot an Arrow, but I caught it and throw it back at Yudaki.
"You have a Good catch, Derek." he commented, "But praising is not enough to spare you. Your death must come so we Eleven can be in Peace. EN GARGE!" and the Archer starts shooting, as Navy takes flight and fire her showering buster shots with her Overdrive disabled, just to conserve some Weapon Energy. I run around to find crates and break with my H-Halberd, finding blue energy capsules.
"Navy! Over here!" I called, "I found some Blue Stuff."
"Weapon Recovery!" she said, and flies there to restore much as possible, before returning to shoot showers of bullets. It's projectiles are fast, but not fast enough for Yudaki, who can also sprint and wall jump like a Ninja. Laser Arrow shot at her. That one hurts! It took out two quarters of her life bar! Both engage in a bullet hell barrage fight. Yudaki able to dodge well wile Navy simply glazes. Dang. Glazing won't even save your Life Bar too!
"Not bad, Pigeon." Yudaki smirked, "But your time wasting helps get my MP Bar up for a Quickening."
"Quickening?!" she gasped, "You don't mean..." I watch as Yudaki's Mana Tanks deplete immediately. I find myself slowed in time, to see Yudaki raise his arms, vines coming up and twirling in circles of Navy Sapphire.
"The Jungle's my Friend!" Yudaki shouts out, before big clusters of vines firing out from the ground, spitting out green leaves and brown leaves. Fading to white and outside white, he draws the arrow aimed to the sky and fires, big cloud grows before shooting rapid lightning bolts at her, followed by raining ice shards, then earthly spine launching up.
When it fades back to normal, I see Navy Sapphire on the ground, wounded, with her Mega Man armor critically damaged.
"You see?" Yudaki smirked, "It's the Zodiac Weapon that grants me awesome buffs. With it, we'll bring justice for all that is humantiy."
I hear a quiet voice coming to my ear. It sounds like a whispering. "Derek. You must run." It was Model CY, "The Zodiac Gang are too powerful for you. You will not survive." I nodded and turn around, before I begin sprinting through the tunnel.
"Huh? OH NO YOU DON'T!" I hear Yudaki shouted, only to end up stopped, but I care less right now with what will happen. "Stupid Pigeon! Die now!" Death Chiming sound is all I heard, meaning Navy Sapphire has met her fate.
I wall jump up the hole to another higher story, swapped to my Buster Soldier so I can fire my missiles. Buster Gun armed, switched to missiles, and double Launch! Two consecutive explosions making the Rocks crack and fall, becoming a blockable debris. Well, that should hold this Zodiac jerk, unless it finds a way.
But to hear Navy Sapphire sacrificed herself to protect me, it somehow awaken my sense of justice. The sense to fight humanity.
But now, where am I? Looking behind me, it's the entrance to the Mountains. Almost grassy fields are what I can see. Hmm, there's Cactus there. Looking like a Wild West Place. It is the unknown world outside Equestria. I know not much of the lore since my sister watches it, way back before.
Though… How did I appear reincarnated as a new Reploid? I do remember my past lives, before my fate. Here I am at school, just doing school work like my mom said so, though I can be very sneaking at playing games, be video games, computer games, sports, cards, or boards. Then what happened is something explosive… How it came to be though? Terrorist attack? Alien Invasion? A Nuclear Missile? Or perhaps a Big Laser Beam from the Big Satellite? Those are just theories, but looks like I am lucky to be reincarnated.
I hear a 'choo-choo' sound. It sounds like a train, and I am right. A long train traversing on the metal tracks. Looks like they've yet to discover automobile. I see some flying birds around. Hmm… Using my Hippogriff form, I jump down and use the glide ability. I must be going 50 miles per hours, but this train is faster than mine. Doesn't it have any Speed Limits? Well I am almost there, and I made it! I grabbed onto the bars and climb on, but when I look through the door, there are Ponies! I hid behind and think for a bit. What did Captain Topaz said again?
"Do not go… to Equestria… They have grown hostile… since the assassination..."
That means Ponies will be angry if they see me, and will attack without any given warning. Might as well steer clear then. But I use the Train's outside ladder to climb up and start running, until I find this trailer that has no passengers. This could be the perfect spot. I go ahead and disarm myself, loosening my weight so I can walk faster. I climb down and see a Pony coming. I climb up the ladder and onto the top of the Train, peeking out to see a Pony walking out. As soon as It goes to the passenger wagon with the stuff, I slide down the ladder and open the door, then going inside with door closed behind. There's a Bathroom I can use. One only I see. Oh scratch that, I see the door here open, I hide behind the wall and peek out, looks like there are ponies going to use it. Well, that plan's scratched.
"Go wake up Tight Tie. We're near Manebourne."
Manebourne? Sounds like place from Australia. And this one must be moderny. However, it may be crawling with ponies.
I get out of the train wagon and climb up to the roof to look at the front of where we're going. Yep, it's a modern city alright. I wait and hug the rooftop of the train, looking up to see the tall buildings. As it stops, I then use the Datamerge power, getting my Hippogriff Armor and then mid-air gliding, dashing through the alleyway and then landing on the ground to conserve my weapon energy.
Well, I made it to the town. Now, I gotta make plans on what to do from here.
