Reviews:

nickclause: Thank you.

Mastercheif1229: Thank you and congratulations! This chapter is dedicated to you!

BlazingVictini09: I'm glad you like and I'm glad to be back as well. I have another story called Shinobi Revolution in the works.

Aleucard: Yep, it is definitely rushed and this chapter is about Kakashi and his ideals. SPOILER ALERT: I might be mixing some of EMIYA's ideals with Kakashi.

Hamilton046: 1. Oops. 2. That's true, but I can't say any more because I don't want to spoil it.

Dippitydee: Interesting. I don't know if you'll like it because the main character ( a girl named Ruby) is a naive fool and it's annoying as hell but that's just my opinion. I only watch it to make sure I follow cannon in some way, shape, or form.

Notes: At the start of the chapter, Ren, Nora, and Yang are five, Ruby is three, and Summer is still alive. She was on a mission in the last chapter. Sorry. I will post a new chapter once or twice a month to give people time to write a review. Even if I start writing the next chapter as soon as I finish posting the last one. This chapter will be rushed again but it is important. I promise the chapters won't be so rushed once I start the RWBY Arcs. There will be more time skips in the chapter. Check out something called Bits and Pieces and tell me if you like any of those ½ baked and poorly executed ideas.

I'm also going to post chapters whenever I get at least 10 reviews for that chapter, when 30 days go by, or when I feel like it when 30 days have not passed yet.

Mean The World To Me

Kakashi carried his two pupils on his shoulder as he tree hopped towards the capitol. He needed to learn all he could about this new world and fast. That demon-thing was fast. Not fast enough to be a threat, but fast enough to be considered dangerous for a lot of people.

Kakashi had an idea. These kids were native. Maybe they know something. "Hey, Ren?"

"Yeah?" Asked Ren.

"Do you know what that thing was?"

"Some kind of grimm. Judging by its size and strength, it's been around for a very long time. Hundreds of years, most likely."

Kakashi's eyes widened. 'He's five and he already knows something about those abominations. A child prodigy.' Kakashi scoffed bitterly on the inside. 'But child prodigies only exist because they have no choice.' Thank you, Ren. This information is invaluable to me." Kakashi pulled out the scroll he pulled off the leader of the army he killed and looked at the map. "Looks like we're about 10 miles away from the capitol. I'm going to go change into another outfit. If another one of those things come by, scream as loud as you can and I'll be there before you know it." Kakashi went behind the nearest tree to change into his jounin uniform.

Right after Kakashi put on his steel plated gloves, he heard his pupils scream. 'SHIT!' Kakashi ran towards them at jounin level speeds with one thought in mind. 'Not again...not again...not again….'

Kakashi made it just in time. Six demonic boars were about to kill his pupils but he jumped in front of them before it could happen and used purple lightning on them. Kakashi watched as they evaporated on contact. 'Purple lightning. Could work as a flash bang in a pinch, hot enough to melt copper on contact, and has the amperage to kill a fully grown Akamichi before he hits the ground. But when used on humans...the bodies are sometimes unidentifiable.' Kakashi looked at Ren and Nora and thanked Kami they were okay. "Are you guys okay?"

The kids nodded and Kakashi was visibly relieved. He hugged them, much to his own surprise. "Thank Kami. You are my two children." Kakashi's eyes widened again. 'So this is what it's like to have kids.' "And you mean the world to me." 'I wonder...Is this how you felt about us...Minato...?' Kakashi sensed more of them. "We need to move, now. And hold on tight. I'm going to be moving really fast." And true to his word, Kakashi moved at mid jounin level speed until he got to the front gate.

The guards asked him for an ID but Kakashi had none. "I'm sorry, sir. All of my stuff got lost during a grimm attack. These two are my children."

"I see. You don't look suspicious...so I'll let you through. But don't cause any trouble, understand?"

"Yes, sir."

Kakashi set his children down and had them walk beside him.

A few hours later, Kakashi and his children were walking around town looking for a place to take shelter for the time being and so Kakashi could train their observation skills. "Are you ready to start your training?"

The kids nodded but they didn't know what he meant. So Nora asked. "What kind of training? It's hard to train in the middle of the street."

"True, but I am going to train your observation skills. Sad to say, but the tragedy you managed to survive has taught you a little bit but only for grimm. Humans on the other hand, are a different story. So look around and tell me what you see. Ren, you first."

Ren did as he was told. He looked at the buildings, shops, and paid extra attention to the people. "I see a lot of buildings and shops but there's something different about every person and some of them are doing things that I don't like."

Kakashi was visibly surprised. 'He really is a prodigy. I better milk this for all it's worth.' "Very good. I am honestly surprised that you already have an average level of understanding of your surroundings. You are young; five years old if I had to guess. Truly impressive. Nora?"

Nora looked a little guilty. "I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Before my village was destroyed, I saw this almost every day. Just on a smaller scale."

"I see. Ren. Help her get a better understanding of her surroundings." Kakashi stopped and looked at Nora with a smile. "Right now, I care little for your abilities. All I care about is your willingness to learn and your work ethic. I have faith that you will improve."

"Do you think I can be as good as Ren?" Asked Nora.

"To be honest, probably not. He is something called a sensor. Meaning he was born with the ability to sense people regardless of how or where they're hiding. But do not let that get you down. In this family, there is no such thing as inadequate or not good enough. Only something that needs improvement. Understand?"

"Yes..father?'

"Thank you...daughter. Come along now. We must find work."

Kakashi walked around the city in circles looking for a good place to work and came up with three ideas. A dust shop cashier, fast food worker, or book organizer at a library. He honestly couldn't decide because they all had similar ups and downs. He needed someone else's opinion. Kakashi took them to a park and sat on a bench with them. "My best options are a dust shop cashier, fast food worker, or librarian. All three have similar ups and downs. What do you think we should do?"

Nora went first. "A part-time fast food worker. That way you can observe people and look for people who may or may not be interesting and no one will ask about what you do on your days off."

"I think a book organizer is the best option. We'll have unlimited access to all the information we'll need in the beginning and it's quiet enough that no one will know or question how or why you're not there." Said Nora.

"Wow, Nora. You're getting better already." Replied Kakashi. Nora beamed but Kakashi kept going. "Thank you for giving all of the advantages of two of them, I need another opinion. That being said, I will become a full-time fast food worker. Remember that we can go to the library any time we want and we need the money."

"But what will we do? You're the only one old enough to work." Asked Ren.

For the third time in Kakashi's life...he didn't know what to do. They were five. He refused to put them in any sort of foster system but he didn't want to take them to work. Sadly though, Kakashi had no choice. "I...don't know. But I promise we'll be okay."

Kakashi wrapped one arm around each kid and looked at the sky. 'As a shinobi, we're told that we're just weapons and that our children will be weapons as well.' Kakashi looked at his adoptive kids. 'They're not strong enough to take on this world, even with me at their side. On the other hand, they'll always be my little soldiers.'

The next day, Nevermore's Feast

Nevermore's Feast. A mid level bar and grill in downtown Vale and a few miles from the shady part of town. Much to Kakashi relief and worry. He got a job as a waiter, much to his delight. He would be able to eavesdrop on people and no one would notice or question. His kids didn't get a job but that's okay. As it turns out, Kakashi had a brain fart. He copied hundreds of Earth jutsu from the third war and one of them was Earth Style: Rock Hut. Furniture would cost money but they didn't really need it although it would be nice.

Kakashi spent the last six years gathering information about the world he lived in and training his kids. All in a disguise too. He dressed his old buddy Asuna and used his infiltration skills to change his voice. It was six years and six months before he got anything other than rumors and the plans of petty criminals although he did learn that his little stunt at the beginning "defanged" White Fang and they were still recovering. Kakashi knew he didn't have time to wipe out everyone else but he knew they wouldn't try anything within the next several years.

Kakashi figured that if a major hidden village would be weakened by the loss of 400 soldiers, then a terrorist organization should be permanently crippled. His theory was confirmed when he turned on the news one day. "400 White Fang Terrorists found dead a few miles outside of a major tourist attraction." The rest of the news report seemed scripted to him because it was opinionated and the details were fabricated. They wanted him to look like some sort of demon. 'Pathetic.'

Kakashi's shadow clone disguised as Naruto after he came back from training sat at the bar a few seats away from two faunus who were talking about an attack on a Schnee Dust Mine. This made Kakashi hesitant. 'Their goal is the destruction of enemy assets and most of those mines are worked by faunus slaves. Rescuing them will bring unwanted attention but not rescuing them will get the humans killed.' But the more Kakashi thought about it, the more he didn't care. The people running those mines deserved to die. He just wished he could do the deed himself. Kakashi's clone paid for the drink and dispelled in a camera deadzone.

Kakashi arrived in his rock house a few hours later at 9:00 PM and saw his 11-year old kids in the living room doing research on a school called Signal on an island called Patch. He sat down on the chair across from them that they bought when he had the money. "Planning on attending?"

"With your permission." Said Ren.

"I'll let you go if you can list the advantages of doing so." Said Kakashi.

"For starters, we'll learn about the things you probably can't find in books and the teachers are huntsmen of at least above average standing." Answered Ren.

"Meaning, they'll have access to information that the public can't get and...it would be nice to have some sense of normalcy in our lives." Said Nora as she got a little timid at the end.

"Alright, you can go. I was going to let you go anyway." Said Kakashi.

"Then why did you ask?" Said Nora.

"Force of habit. I'm 36 years old and I've been fighting since I was five. Fought in the third war that lasted five years and ended when I was ten, spent ten years in ANBU, and six years as a jounin before I was 'killed' in an invasion. When you know nothing but combat for too long, you have this inability to stop moving and it sucks. Do me a favor and try to have fun and work hard but please don't stand out. I would prefer if the world of Remnant didn't see two prodigies that came seemingly nowhere. I'll leave the rest up to you."

Nora and Ren were forced to help Kakashi operate even the most basic technology because the only thing Kakashi knew was how to kill it and how to kill with it. They felt so bad for him. Their father had a bad case of PTSD and they witnessed him crying or just zoning off when he thought they weren't looking. Nora and Ren went to the latter's bedroom to have a private conversation.

"He's getting worse." Said Ren.

Nora agreed. "Something needs to change and we need to help him."

"Yeah, but what? He gave psycho-warfare lessons, not psycho-therapy lessons."

"We'll figure it out later." Nora looked at the clock. "It's 9:45. We should get to bed."

Well? What do you think? Do you like the little chain I'm starting with the chapter titles? Did Kakashi do enough self thought? Did I show enough of Kakashi's PTSD? Let me know what you think in the review section.
