A few weeks into being at this school, Aphelios had slowly become more comfortable to his new life. He spent most of his days on his own, however. He liked to study in the library where it was quiet since his dorm house was way too loud with the hooligans that lived there. He felt the most peace in the library where he could read as much as he wants without someone hitting on him or yelling at the television. He could just hide in his room the whole time, but there was only so much the poor lunari could do to drown out how loud his roommates were.
Completely invested in the book he was reading; he didn't notice the female figure that decided to take the seat opposite to him. She was watching him read, fascinated and curious what he could possibly be reading for him to be so focused. Truth was, he wasn't reading anything interesting, it's just when he studied like this, he forgot there was a whole world around him. As he turned the page, he glossed over the words before taking a break and putting the book down, this was when he noticed the new face in front of him. The woman gave a gentle and friendly wave and asked what he was reading.
"Oh. It's just some lame text my English class has to read." He shrugged, turning the book around so she could read the title.
"Ah, I see. Seemed like a good read, you were so focused on it."
"I just find it relaxing to read is all." He replied nonchalantly, completely disinterested in having a conversation with her.
"Me too actually. Maybe we could read together?"
"I usually read alone."
"I promise I'll be quiet." She half smiled, reaching into her bag for her own book.
He sighed and rolled his eyes. Seems she's not going to go away any time soon. "I'm not one for talking, but do what you want, I suppose."
After a few moments of silence, it was broken with her asking, "Have you read this? I have a feeling this novel might be to your liking."
He barely peeled his eyes off his book to look at what she was pointing at. He raised a brow, glossing over the front cover of the book.
"It was okay." He says flatly. She felt a chill run down her spine, he was being so cold.
During the next hour, she tried to keep conversing with him, regardless of his disinterest. Most of their conversation was just her naming different novels, asking if he'd read them. Eventually, they found similar interests in the books they read. For the first time, he found someone at this academy that didn't annoy him entirely. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to befriend them.
"My name's Caitlyn by the way." She says as she holds out her hand for him to shake.
"Aphelios." He responds, weakly shaking her hand then wiping his own on his pants.
"I haven't seen you around before, are you new?"
He nodded, "I've only been here a few weeks. My guardian, Diana, made me go." Rolling his eyes, pouting a little.
She giggled, covering her mouth with her hand. "Seems like you two get along."
"Swimmingly." He says sarcastically, folding his arms.
She then proceeded to get up and sit next to the lunari instead. This flustered him a little, not enough for it to be obvious he wasn't used to socialising, but it certainly wasn't helping that it seemed that people were starting to notice the two. Stares from across the library, their eyes were on Aphelios, wondering who this mysterious man was that got the attention of Caitlyn. He had no idea who she was, but judging by everyone's reactions, she was either someone important, or insanely popular. Maybe it was both.
As they continued their idle chatter, the bell rang, signalling their break time had ended. Coincidentally, they had the next class together. It was one of his training classes, he really wanted to be a better marksman. Maybe having a friend in that class will help him improve.
They walked to their class together, Aphelios keeping his eyes on the path in front of him, while Caitlyn would constantly glance over to Aphelios. She would scan his body, looking at his figure from top to bottom, eventually keeping her gaze on his tattooed face.
"So, who do you usually hang around with?"
"Mm…No one really. I've only spoke to my roommates."
"Well, you have me now to talk to at least." She spoke warmly, nudging his shoulder with his own.
"We'll see." He teased.
Once they made it to the training ground, Caitlyn pulled out her impressively large sniper.
"Woah, you use that?" Aphelios stared, shocked that someone as petite looking as her carried that around. She giggled at his reaction to her weapon,
"Of course. I'm quite skilled at it, you have a sniper too, don't you?"
"Yes, but I'm not really good at using it yet." He stared down his own gun, frowning. He wished he were improving, but it felt as though he wasn't making any progress.
"I could help you! We could spend some time after class and practice together, maybe that will help you."
"You'd really help someone you just met?"
"Of course, it's in my nature to help. Besides, I like spending time with you."
Aphelios had no idea why that comment made him blush a little. Maybe he just wasn't used to people wanting to hang out with him. Usually, people only interacted with him because they wanted his sister. He nodded at the offer then went back to fiddling with his gun as they waited for their professor to show up.
10 minutes pass before their teacher shows up, the only way they could tell was they could hear him counting to 4 as he stepped closer to his class. This teacher was quite the eccentric, always counting to 4, his grades were always out of 4, and you either got a 0 or a 4. Aphelios didn't really understand him, but he seemed to know his stuff about marksmanship, so he didn't try to question the man's methods of teaching.
The masked man stood in front of his class, posing as he usually does. "Alright class, let us make art.", he hums, bowing before preparing his own weapons for today's lessons.
Throughout the lesson, Aphelios and Caitlyn paired up to help each other. They would fix each other's posture, help each other aim more accurately, sometimes they would even trade guns to play test the others weapon.
"What a beautiful performance!" Said professor Jhin to the two marksmen, impressed with their improvements this class. It seemed their teamwork was working. Even through his masked face, Aphelios could tell his professor was grinning ear to ear. "Alright class, take 4 more shots and we'll call it a day." The whole class nodded and proceeded to shoot their last few bullets.
"You sure I can borrow this?"
"Of course. Take your time reading it too, I've read it countless times anyway. I'm sure you'll love it as much as I did."
"Well, your suggestions haven't been wrong yet, Caitlyn."
"Please, just Cait is fine."
As the days went on, the two marksmen spent more time together. They would walk to their shared classes, hang out around the campus sharing books, study together, they almost did everything together. Aphelios enjoyed having a friend that's like him, someone to keep him on track on his studies, someone to help him on the rare moments he struggled with homework, and just to have someone to talk to without flirting with him.
The more they spent time together, the more everyone around them would take notice. Girls would stare at him more and more, a brave few would even approach him. Every time they talked to him; it would always go the same way.
"Hey, you're Caitlyn's new friend, Aphelios!"
"Yes." He would reply bluntly, barely giving the other person another glance.
"W-Well..." the second they started stuttering, their cheeks flushed with redness, he knew exactly where the conversation was going. It had happened enough times, he would never have to guess.
"W-Would y-you um…be interested in going out…. w-with me?"
Having little to no experience with talking to people, he had no idea how to handle the confessions. Sometimes he would let them down easy, but it was always so hard for him when he couldn't conjure up any valid reason when they would ask why he wouldn't go out with them. Some of them would assume it was because he was with Caitlyn, but he would reassure them that they were only friends and that it would stay that way. Other times, he would just stare right at them, expressionless, completely uninterested in talking to them, and he made sure they knew. This time, he just sighed, and walked away from her, never stopping even when she tried to.
"P-Please! A-At least consider-" the girl was stopped dead in her tracks when he turned around, his eyes narrowing, staring her down.
He frowned, "Do you really think being this desperate is going to get me to go out with a stranger?" he finally spoke.
"If anything," he stepped closer, his violet eyes darkening, "it's such a fucking turn off." His words hit her right where it hurt.
He turned around and walked away, shoving his hands in his pockets refusing to look back at the heart he just shattered. It's not as if he wanted to be this mean to them, he just hated getting the attention. He wanted to cruise through his time here going unnoticed. He hasn't been here long, but he realises that dream is no longer possible. Caitlyn was a very popular student at the academy, befriending her meant everyone would know who you are, even if they never saw you themselves. Everyone wanted to be close to her and climb up that social ladder. Even his roommates were berating him about Caitlyn, especially Ezreal.
"Please please please! You gotta introduce me to her! She's like best friends with Lux! I'll be so in if you introduce me!" The blond begged, shaking down Aphelios.
He rolled his eyes before grabbing onto Ezreal's arms. "Stop shaking me first."
"Does that mean you'll do it?!" Ezreal beamed, his face lighting up at the implications.
"If it means you'll leave me alone, sure."
"THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU." Ezreal gave the poor lunari the tightest hug he could muster, squeezing the life out of him.
"You're…. gonna…. kill me, Ez" Aphelios managed to say, trying to catch his breath once he let go.
"S-Sorry" He laughed, rubbing the back of his head with his hand. "I just got so excited! This is my chance to finally get with Lux!"
"Yeah yeah. I know." He brushed off his roommate's excitement, walking back to his room.
"Maybe we could go on a double date with them sometime!"
Aphelios turned to Ezreal as he walked up the stairs, "W-Wait…WHAT?"
Not looking at where he was going, he ran straight into Sett…again. The vastayan gently pushed past Aphelios, "Watch where you're goin', dude."
"Sorry."
He stared at the angry redhead as he stomped down the stairs with his shoulders hunched over. Someone was getting their ass beat up, Aphelios thought.
"Woah who pissed in your cereal today, Sett?" Ezreal jokingly asked as Sett passed him.
Sett shoved Ezreal out of the way and growled, "Out of my way." He spat, his fur standing up the angrier he got.
"Take it easy man! I was just kidding."
"Well, I'm not." Sett slammed the door shut behind him as he left the house, leaving the other two scared, and a little confused. They looked at each other and shrugged, then went back to what they were doing before Sett intruded.
Today was a day Aphelios decided he would spend time by himself. Away from Caitlyn, and away from his roommates. He wasn't sure why things were getting a little too tense in the house, but he didn't want to have to deal with it. He decided to take a break at one of the campus' cafés to take his mind off things. He swiftly took a seat after getting his coffee, trying to find the most discreet corner there. He grabbed a book from his backpack as he tried to get comfortable in his seat. This was one of his favourite past times, relaxing with a book and coffee, one of the few things that got him through the struggles of studying. As he was getting into his reading, he was approached by yet another strange face. He could immediately tell where this was going, her eyes were darting all around the room, face was resembling an apple, and she was visibly sweating.
"U-Um…you're Aphelios right?"
This kept happening and he was so god damn tired of it. He shifted his gaze to the timid girl in front of him, slightly raising one of his brows.
The strange face was even more flustered now, "W-Would you like to um," she paused, grabbing and tugging on the hem of her skirt, "maybe go out some time? I-I know you like shooting and you have a bunch of c-cool guns…maybe you could teach me…l-like…on a date?"
There it was. The dreaded question. Another date, another rejection. He turned his attention back to his book, pretending the girl in front of him didn't exist.
"A-Aphelios? P-Please go out with me! I-I've liked you for some time now…ever since you transferred here."
He still refused to respond. He just sipped on his coffee and continued reading. Maybe this was the only way to not drive himself insane with constantly telling all these girls no. How many students were at this damn academy?
"Oh, hey it's moon boy!" an irritatingly familiar voice echoed. Sett invited himself to sit right next to Aphelios, his iconic smug grin plastered on his face as he wrapped an arm around his shoulder and shook the lunari down. "Miss me?"
All he could do was sigh and roll his eyes. Why on earth did this oaf have to show up right now when he's trying not to lose his shit?
"O-Oh…I understand now. I-I'm so sorry Aphelios- I-I…" The girl ran out crying. Oh, my moon why did it always result in tears? He shot daggers at his so-called saviour, glaring right into his soul.
"What? I didn't do anythin'! Not my fault you're too pretty and everyone wants you. Thought I could lend a helping hand and get her to leave you alone." Sett winked, nudging Aphelios, annoying him even more.
He scoffed, "You're one to talk. How many girls can you pick up with one arm?"
The snide remark made Sett's ears droop. Aphelios wasn't expecting that reaction out of the vastayan,
"I'm sorry" He coos, reaching up and to scratch one of his ears, "I was teasing."
Sett just pouted, blushing at the lunari caressing him so tenderly. Aphelios smiled as he watched the vastyan's ears twitch at the contact, making him blush even more.
"Sometimes, you really are just an overgrown cat."
"I am not!"
"You're enjoying me scratching your ear!"
"…. only because it's you", Sett mumbled, refusing to look at Aphelios.
"Don't you start flirting with me." joked the lunari, rolling his eyes and looking away, a flush of pink creeping onto his usually stoic face.
He didn't quite understand why he didn't mind Sett's presence, despite how annoying he can be, but he wanted to figure it out. He wanted, no he needed to know why he wanted him around all the time, why he wanted his attention, and why he wanted to be closer to this idiot. His entire life he would always have his walls up, no one knew the real him, what he liked, what he did, what he hated, he barely ever let anyone see his personality. The only one who ever knew any of that was his twin. However, he wanted Sett to know the real him too. Lost in his train of thought, he didn't notice Sett staring at him.
Sett was focusing on the faces he was making while he was concentrating so hard on what he was thinking. He found it cute. The way his nose scrunched up when he was confused about whatever he was thinking, the way his brows furrowed, and the little pout he did when he gave up trying to figure it out.
"Hey, Aphelios!" came a familiar voice, breaking his trance.
"H-Huh?" Aphelios turned to see Caitlyn walking over, waving at him.
"Oh, sorry. Am I interrupting something?" The marksman asked, her eyes glued to the hand that was still scratching Sett's ear.
Aphelios immediately retracted his hand, shoving both of his hands into his lap as his face turned bright red.
"Ya just might be." Sett says through gritted teeth, showing his canines as he leaned back his chair, folding his arms.
Caitlyn took a step back, distancing herself from the menacing presence of the vastayan. "O-Oh. Well, I'll catch you another time then, Phel." She gave him a weak wave and darted out of the café.
"Right," Sett stretched, flexing his muscles as he did. Aphelios' eyes widened as he watched, gawking at the fact that they were that huge. It was intimidating enough to make your blood run cold, but it seemed to have the opposite effect on him, he felt his face feel even more hot.
"Now where were we?"
As it was the last class for the week, Caitlyn offered to walk Aphelios back to his house.
"I could point out a few places I know you haven't been that you might like. I know almost every building here."
"I suppose it couldn't hurt to have a tour guide."
She laughed at his remark, pushing him gently, "Don't be such a dick!"
He shrugged, a smug grin appearing on his face, "Don't make it easy to be one then."
Along the walk, Caitlyn pointed out different buildings that Aphelios had never been in yet. Most of them didn't really interest him, but a few such as the shooting range, different cafes and the technology building piqued his interest.
"We should go to the shooting range together sometime." She said, as they arrived at the front door.
"Sure. Sounds like a good learning experience." Aphelios half smiled, opening the door to his home.
"How about some time next week?"
Aphelios simply nodded.
"Great! It's a date, then." Caitlyn beamed, waving goodbye as she walked away from him.
Wait. A date? 'I hope that's just some social term and she didn't mean a literal date.' He had never been on one of those before, and he wasn't sure he was even interested in his new friend like that. He just thought of her as simply that. A friend. As he walked into the house, he noticed his roommates staring at him. Every single one of them eying him with the smuggest grins he's ever seen any of them have. Well except for Sett, he looked mad again, maybe Kayn pissed him off again.
"Damn new kid's got game!"
Aphelios tilted his head, confused at the statement. 'I've got what?'
"Aww you look so cute confused, cupcake.", Kayn got up and leaned in close to Aphelios' ear, "You're quite the catch you know." He whispered, licking his ear. The poor lunari shuddered at the sensation of feeling his tongue and his piercing on his ear. Kayn took this opportunity to snake his arms around him and pull him close.
"Ugh man Kayn, get off him. Can you ever keep it in your pants?" Ezreal commented, throwing a couch pillow at him.
Aphelios was scared stiff, he didn't move a single muscle as Kayn kept his hold on him. He should be used to this pervert by now, but it was usually just flirtatious comments, not physical contact like this. To make it worse, he had no idea what this guy was even talking about. Suddenly, his thoughts were interrupted by a growl. Before he could locate where it was coming from, Kayn was ripped away from him, and thrown straight down to the ground. It was Sett. He slammed the assassin down onto the floor and stepped on his chest and scowled. Aphelios had never seen him this angry before. He took this opportunity to hide behind the vastayan, holding onto his arm as he stared Kayn down.
"Ugh geez Sett, can't you take a joke? I was just teasing the little virgin, it's too fun to not." He smirked which quickly disappeared, as Sett pressed onto his chest. Kayn looked up into his eyes. They were full of feral energy, like he was ready to kill him if he even tried to get up. His fur was glowing, making the dark aura around Sett just that much more menacing.
"I'm not going to actually do anything, promise", he held up his hands in surrender.
"You better fucking not. You try some shit like that, and I'll break every god damn bone in your body." Sett finally stepped off him and turned to Aphelios, watching him shake.
He wasn't shaking before; did Sett scare him too? "Are…Are you okay Phel?" Aphelios simply nodded, gripping tighter onto his arm.
Sett smiled at the contact and ruffled the lunari's raven hair and he leaned into his touch. Aphelios didn't understand what was so calming about this man. He was so aggressive all the time, but whenever they were alone, he enjoyed his company more than anyone else. Sett was always so gentle when it was just the two of them, he felt so safe with him.
"If I didn't know any better, I'd say you're in love with our innocent little virgin." Kayn commented, slowly getting off the ground, brushing his clothes down with his hands.
"Why you gotta piss him off even more dude!" Ezreal sighed, sinking into the couch.
Sett growled again, wrapping an arm around Aphelios. "You just need to stop scaring him half to death with your shit."
Kayn stepped closer to Sett, trailing a hand up and down the vastayan's exposed chest, "Or are you just jealous I'm not doing that sorta shit to you?" he mused, resting his arms on Sett's shoulders.
Sett rolled his eyes, "I'm not a horn dog like you, I don't need anythin' from the likes of you."
Kayn chuckled, "I beg to differ. You have girls hanging on your arms all the time. You even have our sweet little cupcake doing the same thing right now."
Aphelios frowned. He didn't appreciate being referred to as a plaything, especially Sett's plaything. It wasn't like that at all.
"Oh well, doesn't matter anyway," Kayn peeled himself away from Sett and shrugged, "Cupcake's got a date with one of the hottest girls in this academy."
"What?"
"Well, you heard her, didn't you? 'It's a date'. She wants to see the gun between your pants, big boy."
"What the fuck? It's not like that." Aphelios let go of Sett, glaring at Kayn.
Why would he say such a thing?! He just wanted to practice shooting with Caitlyn! Maybe he should bring someone with him so it wouldn't be a date?
"Maybe I'll take Sett with me then," he pondered, rubbing his chin with his hand, "Then it can't be a date."
"Caitlyn might kill me if I did that, but I'll hang around ya if ya want. You can call me if things get weird."
"Way to ruin his chances of getting laid you bastard" Kayn poked out his tongue at Sett, his piercing catching onto one of the lights, almost blinding the vastayan's eyes.
"Listen 'ere you fuck, if he doesn't want to do that shit, he doesn't have to. You're the one that probably put him off that kinda shit anyway." He stepped forward to Kayn, his fur standing on edge yet again from his rage.
"Alright alright, you can stop with the dick sizing contest, we all know Sett's the biggest anyway." Ezreal finally spoke after getting tired of spectating from the couch.
"Is he really?" The Lunari asked, looking up at Sett.
Sett's face turned as bright as his hair. "U-Uh Phel, he was joking."
"….Oh."
Silence fell over the entire room, no one knew how to process what just happened. Both Aphelios and Sett were turning into tomatoes from being so embarrassed. Aphelios had many regrets, but what just happened, was probably at the top of that list now.
"I-I'm kinda tired. I think I'll be going to my room now." Phel mumbled, scurrying away to his room as quick as possible. His heart was racing, he could feel and hear it so clearly. How could he be so clueless and blurt out something like that? Before he could catch his breath, Alune materialised in front of him, giggling as she stared at her flustered brother.
"You know, you've never said something like that. Sett surely is special to get you to act that way."
Aphelios sighed, he didn't know what to tell her. He had no idea what was going on in his mind either. He started to pace around his room, clutching onto his chest.
"Brother, calm down I was merely teasing." Alune said, trying to comfort the distressed lunari.
Little comfort it was. How is he going to talk to any of them after this? Kayn's probably going to have a laughing fit every time he sees his stupid face now. And Sett? Did he make things weird by not thinking about what comes out of his mouth?
He started to pace around his room faster, gripping onto his shirt. He wished he couldn't think right now, couldn't feel. He wished to be back home, where he could just consume the noctum and be numb to everything that made him human. That's what he was good at, shutting out everything and everyone, never having to feel a thing. Being at this academy was drastically changing that.
Aphelios crashed onto his bed, giving up on trying to calm himself by pacing around his room. He stared at his ceiling, focusing on slowing his breathing. Just as he was shutting his eyes, he heard his phone vibrate in his pocket. He meekly tried to reach for it, squinting when the brightness of his screen hit his eyes.
Sett: Hey, are you okay? I'm here if you need anything.
Aphelios started typing a response but was unsure of what to say. He kept backspacing what he was typing, biting his lip as if it would help him think of what to reply with.
Sett: I can see you typing, dummy. Don't worry about what happened, it was kinda cute.
He felt his face get hot reading the last text he sent. He let out a little cough, trying to regain his composure.
Aphelios: I'm fine, but it wasn't cute. You're dumb.
Sett: You're cute.
Aphelios: You're still dumb.
Sett: You're not disagreeing with me. 😉
Aphelios: omg go away.
Sett: Never, mooncake. You're stuck with me ~
"Aww brother, you're smiling!"
Aphelios snapped back to reality, immediately sitting up from his bed. His face was flushed a bright pink from being caught smiling at his dumb texts to Sett. He buried his phone in his bed and brought his hands to his face and groaned.
"Okay okay, I'll stop teasing you." She said through her fit of laughter, sitting herself on his shoulder.
He turned to face her and sighed, "I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Do you like this guy?" She asked, prodding his neck with a finger.
"Why are you poking me?"
"I just wanted to" She smirked, staring back at her brother.
He rolled his eyes and pouted. "I don't like him like that."
"Seems like you do."
"I don't get into…relationships, okay? I have no plan to either." His tone had shifted from being defensive to sounding a little deflated.
"You never know what the moon has in store for you, brother. He might be in your orbit." She teased, disappearing back into his wristwatch.
'Ugh why did I have to make her just as annoying as my real sister?', he thought, his eyes shifting to the window. The moon was beaming down on him. He took this as a sign that he should go to the roof, so he did just that.
He sat at the highest part of the roof and hugged his legs to his chest as he stared up at the night sky littered with stars. He stayed like this for a while, enjoying the peace and quiet, even with the cold breeze hitting his face.
"Oh moon, I hope Caitlyn doesn't have a crush on me." He muttered to no one in particular, burying his face his arms.
"Man, I hope so too."
Aphelios shot up, trying to see who had joined him on the roof. The shadowy figure sat beside him, and he could finally see a face.
"How did you know I was here?" His widened eyes staring at Sett who was smiling at him.
"I saw ya crawl out your window."
"Oh. Why are you here?"
"Thought I could keep ya company, didn't want ya to be brooding by yourself."
Aphelios rolled his eyes, half smiling at the vastayan. Sett loved seeing his face like that, the way his lips curled into that smile. He loved that smile so much, it pulled at his heart. He wanted to keep it all to himself. Sett smiled right back, so bright and happy, making the lunari laugh a little. He then shuddered at the sudden cold breeze. He didn't wear his jacket today, and his uniform shirt was a little thin.
"Ya cold?"
"N-No. I'm never cold." He pouted, trying to act tough.
Sett chuckled and draped his jacket over him. Aphelios' eyes widened again; he wasn't expecting that at all. He grabbed onto the jacket, and snuggled right into it, breathing in Sett's scent. Sett blushed watching him, his ears twitching from his actions.
"T-Thanks." Aphelios mumbled and stared back up the sky.
"Anytime, Mooncake."
Sett decided to stargaze with him, leaning back and taking in how beautiful the night sky was tonight. He glanced at Aphelios from time to time, basking in the beauty that was the man right next to him. His pale skin being hit by the moonlight, made him look so ethereal, as if he weren't real. His violet eyes catching the light made them so much brighter, Sett could get lost staring into those eyes. They stayed like this late into the night, staring at the sky, and casually staring at each other every now and then.
Once Sett was tired, he stretched and yawned, and gently nudged Aphelios' shoulder. "It's gettin' pretty late; we should go to bed."
Aphelios didn't respond, he didn't even move.
"…Mooncake?" He nudged again, a little harder this time.
Still no response.
"Phel? Aphelios?"
"mm…"
He was asleep. Sett sighed in relief, thinking something had happened to him. He cracked his knuckles as he decided to pick up Aphelios and carry him to bed. It was a little tricky to get off the roof carrying someone, but if anyone could do it, it was Sett. He moved as slowly and lightly as possible, trying not to wake the sleeping lunari he was holding. Once he made it to his bed, he placed him down, keeping his jacket on him. He could just get it later.
As Sett tried to let go of Aphelios, he grabbed tighter onto his sleeve. His ears twitched as he stared at the hand holding so tightly onto him. He attempted to loosen his grip. Once he succeeded, Aphelios whined at the loss of contact. 'Cute' Sett thought, smiling to himself as he put Aphelios' hand under his jacket to keep him warm. He wriggled under the blanket, bringing it closer to his face, the fur on it tickling his nose. Sett tried not to laugh at the cute sight, as he tiptoed out of his room.
"Goodnight, Mooncake." He whispered, before slowly closing the door.
