I own nothing that you may recognize from other writer's works.
If you care to be reading this story, as part of the massive crossover storyline, that it is, and following along in the order that I have listed on my profile you may recognize that with this visit to the World of Riordan, Harry has been to this world more than any other. This is in part because of the expanses of Riordan's works. Please bare this in mind as you read, and also understand why these first few chapters are shorter than some other parts of the story.
As the chapter title suggest, this chapter leaves the Norse and moves to Egypt.
Duat 7000 BC
"The world above is struggling without guidance outside of the Far North," Chaos said aloud.
"Indeed father, but what can be done, while you can create various forms, we cannot, for we are solely ba, and cannot affect the world outside of the Duat," A man wearing red said simply.
"Indeed Ra, but as you know, for balance to be kept I cannot be a kind god in this space, but must be your adversary," Chaos said simply.
"I am aware father, but what more can be done, for someone must guide the world while they in the far north continue to choose to remain isolated," Ra said slightly irritated.
"I know Ra, and that is why I am going to send you and some of your kin to go down to the great river in the Sands and find people who will host your Ba, and in turn gain power," Chaos said simply.
"Who all is going down?" Ra asked cautiously.
"You, Heh, Kauket, and Naunet to start, and once it has proven possible then I will send down Shu and Tefnut to aide you in the organization below," Chaos said simply.
"And where will you be?" Ra asked slowly.
"I will go down in my own time, and you will know me, and we will war against each other," Chaos said with a knowing smile before Ra vanished.
Egypt 7000 BC
"Mother, what is the meaning of life?" A young man with emerald, green eyes asked as he swung a khopesh around.
"We may never know my child, except to live and die, now its late, rest my son," An older woman said softly.
"Okay mother, but one day I will learn why we are here and where we are going," The youth said before retiring to bed.
"Greeting's child, I heard your questioning, and I may have an answer," A man in dark clothing said as he appeared in the youth's dreams.
"Who are you, and how would you know," The youth asked slightly scared of the unknown being.
"I am Heh, or infinity, and for a chance to use your body to make massive changes to this world, I will give you power over the darkness and the expansiveness of the life hereafter, for which purpose you are born," The man said comfortingly.
"Wait, what? We are born to die. That doesn't sound right," The youth said confused.
"No, child," Heh said before the youth cut him off.
"Hadron, my name is Hadron," The youth said firmly.
"Very well Hadron, to answer your question, you are born to make a difference in the world and see if you can live a life after the morals that the creator has blessed you with," Heh said simply.
"But what about those who are orphans, who are not taught what is good and evil?" Hadron asked slowly, thinking about his many friends who did not have a mother like he did.
"That is what purpose I came to you for, myself and some of my kin know the morals from the creator and wish to organize this land so that all may be led to understand. However due to our nature we cannot have bodies of our own, but must make pacts with those who do, to use their bodies in return for power, would you be willing to accept such a pact with me?" Heh asked kindly.
"Will it hurt?" Hadron asked softly.
"No, you shall not feel a thing, but it will be as though you are watching from the sidelines as I use your body to achieve the goals in which I have been tasked to do," Heh said simply.
"How can I be sure that you will not just take my body and use it and never give it back?" Hadron asked slowly, worried that this might be very bad.
"I will swear it to the creator, that I will always give you back the use of your body whenever you request it," Heh said simply.
"Then I agree, as long as it is to help the people of the land," Hadron said with a nod.
"And in return I gift you with power over darkness, and the expanse of the life hereafter, and thus until we go our separate ways your body will maintain health and remain strong," Heh said before with a nod they made a pact.
6500 BC Egypt.
"Hadron," Heh said within Hadron's mind as they sat in their temple, in the dying city of Hermopolis, where they lived with Naunet or her host a fair skinned woman who had light brown hair named Naomi, and Kauket or her host a dark skinned and dark haired woman named Kaori who happened to be Hadron's wives and fighting partners in the many wars they had fought in over the centuries, originally with Ra and his many Avatars but later other gods.
"Yes Heh, do you wish to run the body for a time?" Hadron asked kindly.
"No, I have been talking with Naunet, and Kauket, and we have seen in the past 100 years that many newer gods have come forth and we are no longer wanted or needed, as Gods of the raising, and we wish to move on, and fade, we have no purpose here further," Heh said sadly.
"But Heh, how then will our pact remain, and who shall rule over the expanse, for no other god rules the expanse," Hadron asked concerned.
"We have decided that we will gift you the power to walk through the Duat, with your bodies, and return here, but the cost will be going into the Duat, but we feel if anyone could do so it would be you, and by the time you leave the Duat, hopefully the world is brighter," Heh said sadly.
"But, but, very well, if Naomi and Kaori are willing then I will accept, since I have no desire to forcibly keep you prisoner," Hadron said sadly.
"Indeed, then we shall go now, and you will find yourself within the Duat," Heh said and before Hadron could say anything more, he felt a weight he had felt on his shoulders for hundreds of years vanish suddenly, before he too vanished, not knowing that the Temple to Heh, Naunet, and Kauket collapsed once they vanished.
Realm of the Faded/ Chaos' Country
"Welcome to the Realm of the Faded, Heh, Naunet, and Kauket," Chaos said as the three appeared.
"Lord Chaos, I thought we were going to cease to be, when we chose to fade," Heh said simply as he recognized Chaos.
"I can understand why you would think that, but no, all who do well return to my country once their journey in the world is complete," Chaos said softly.
"Interesting, then does that mean that Naomi and Kaori have gone for rebirth?" One of the two women asked seeing as neither of the hosts were present.
"No? I mean, I'm not sure, they vanished from my view when you decided to fade, so maybe, but… yeah I'm not sure sorry," Chaos said sadly.
"What do you mean you don't know? Aren't you the creator of the world and able to see everything?" The other woman asked irritably.
"Up to this point and a bit ahead, yeah, normally, Kauket, but they vanished, and I frankly don't know why," Chaos said slightly ashamed, before a bright light appeared in the middle of them, causing them all to fall to the ground due to the brightness.
"Chaos! I am not pleased with you right now," The Emperor-Beyond-the-Sea said as the light dimmed.
"Father, what brings you to my country?" Chaos asked sheepishly.
"Why did you create a loophole? That was not part of the deal, Chaos and you know it," The Emperor-Beyond-the-Sea said angrily.
"Um, what deal?" Heh asked carefully.
"And you were the one who put the loophole into effect, I am half tempted to just force Chaos to restart his creation," The Emperor-Beyond-the-Sea said irritably.
"I'm sorry, but what did my brother, and father do exactly that has earned the ire of one who's power clearly dwarfs father's?" Kauket asked cautiously.
"The deal was only one time can Hadrian be born as more than human or wizard, and once he dies, he dies and has to be reborn as a human, but you found a loophole which makes him a god, for more than just one life!" The Emperor-Beyond-the-Sea said fuming.
"I didn't mean to, I told my four eldest children to find hosts and then begin the organization of the area of the great river, I did not tell them to find Hadrian, is he pissed at this?" Chaos asked cautiously.
"He doesn't even know, damn you Chaos, now he can become immortal as many times as you or your kin need him too, how will he relate to the great heroes if he is invisible?" The Emperor-Beyond-the-Sea said his temper vanishing.
"Oh, I see, well… knowing Hadrian he will give away some of his power if needs be, and he can still be killed, and if he gives up more power he could eventually become more or less mortal, or immortal but not invincible," Chaos said after a few minutes.
"And this is why I keep you around, I will just tell your brethren that if he is blessed by higher powers he cannot become invincible, but remember he will need to give up some of his power so he becomes immortal and no longer invincible within 500 years of his next arrival in your world, or I will do as I promised and make you restart," The Emperor-Beyond-the-Sea said firmly.
"Of course, father, I'm sure Hadrian will do so, now before you go, do you know whatever happened to Naomi and Kaori, they vanished from my sight?" Chaos asked, knowing his father could see much further than he could.
"Their selfish choice and devotion to Hadrian had them permitted as the first two people into Hadrian's Country, outside of James and Lily Potter, his parents in his world," The Emperor-Beyond-the-Sea said with a smile.
"That would explain it, thank you father," Chaos said with a sigh of relief that no darkness had managed to obstruct his sight of his own creation.
Hope you enjoyed, a few notes of what is to come later.
1. Osiris and his domain. If you can understand what I am saying kudos for you, if not just wait for Harry's next adventure in the Riordanverse.
2. Naomi and Kaori are uncle ben dead in the Riordanverse, but they will be important in a few chapters of the greater story, sooner than that in this story.
3. In case anyone is curious, Harry will have a harem and it will be large, but will span the timelines and worlds, so he will not just have 10k from the Riordanverse or Potterverse.
4. Before anyone tells me I made up gods. They did exist along with partners, and Ra was not part of the group, But lets be honest here, Ra is too important to just not exist yet, so bear with my alterations to myth. This story is full of changes, and don't even get me started on what ideas my brain is churning up for other parts.
5. Despite what I did just say in point 4, major events will still occur for the most part at least, because I don't want to recreate reasons for everything that happens. This is to say, just because Harry enters the picture that now Osiris does not die at the hands of Set, or that Kronos does not eat his children, etc. I won't mess with those events since they lay the groundwork that allows for the events of Percy Jackson or other stories to take place.
6. Final Piece, as the Great DZ2 says, if you don't like don't read. Thank you
Reviews are amazing!
