TW : Violence, sexual assault.
MoyKun.
The teenagers were standing in four rows of four, sixteen in total. Waiting in expectation, silence wheighing on their shlouders and tension palpable. Eight guards were standing all around them, semi-heavy guns in hand as an ostentatious warning.
Eijirou was in the front line. The gold blond boy from the bus on his right, and to his left, closing the row, the terrifying teen covered in restraints. Kirishima couldn't keep himself from giving him quick side-gaze. It was like standing next to a wildcat : dangerous but, still, fascinating.
A low crackling buzz broke the silence followed by the sound of the loud metal doors opening and closing in their back. No one dared to turn around.
A man in uniform walked through the rows without a look for the newcomers. He settled in front of them, his back turned to the outside.
"My name in Keith Shard. You will call me Instructor Shard."
The man wasn't tall, he had a bold head and yellow eyes deeply set in his skull. Dark skin and marked wrinkles surrounded his piercing and unkind gaze
He held up a hand to the side. "Watch." The gate behind him, through wich they came, started sliding shut in a rumble. "This is the end of your freedom. There is among you thieves, troublemakers, violent caracters..." he started walking to the end of the rows, circling between the teens in a slow and steady step.
Each kid he walked by, he studied from the corner of the eye. Without warning, he grabbed by the chin a young girl, brunette with short hair and an angel-like face. She gulped and stood straight, a drop of sweat pearling on her forehead, lips in a tight line.
The man examined her with a disapproving face. "You wronged society." He let go of her and kept his measured pace between the teens.
"It is my duty to turn the pieces of trash that you are in something society has a use of." He added. Kirishima heard the boy on his left growl lowly . He tensed up.
The instructor stopped in third row and violently kicked the legs of a kid with a crow head. The boy fell in a grunt. "I will use force if necessary!" Shard yelled. He went on with his inspection as his victim struggled to get up.
Eijirou clenched his fists tight, a bubble forming in his throat. A voice inside him screamed he had to do something, anything. His legs were smarter then his brain and refused to move.
Instructor Shard reached the right-end of the first row, He glared deep in the four teenagers' faces, in line, as he walked pass them with a slow step. "Thieves, trouble-makers..."
He paced his way from one end to the other. they all stood as straight as they could, muscles cramped tight, eyes on an undertermined point on the horizon point. All except one.
He had passed Eijirou who felt so tense he feared his muscles would snap.
"Violent caracters. Punks who deserve nothing." The instructor said with disdain, looking at Bakugou, leaning his face closer to the teen's.
The teenager looked straight back with a daring crimson glare. His response was to shot up his head, pointing up his chin in an arrogant way that allowed him to look down on the instructor.
He was in chain and muzzled but he transpired impudence. Something feline in his posture.
Anger and a sick excitement mixed in the man's yellow eyes. He threw his foot in the boy's stomach, causing him to stumble and fold in half.
"What? That's it tough boy?" he laughed proudly and punched the detainee in the temple. "I'll beat respect into you !"
Kirishima looked in shock, his hands shook.
I have to stop this.
But the boy next to him chuckled in a mock, blood from his open forehead dripped on his face. "Take the chains off and I'll show you, dick face". He shot eyes full of pride to the man. His voice theatened in low and calm tone.
This time, Instructor Shard went from wicked haughtiness to full-on wrath. He kicked again, punched again. Katsuki fell to the floor in a cloud of dirt.
I have to stop it.
Eijirou's legs were threatening to collapse under him.
The man kicked and kicked and kicked. Bright red blood was starting to stain the dirt. The other kids were terrified, some tears were forming in shocked wide eyes. Bakugou didnt make a sound. There was only the noise of brutalised flesh.
I have to stop it.
I have to stop it.
Stop it! Just stop!
"Stop! Please stop it!" Kirishima yelled without realising the shredded voice was his. Reality spiralled around him, like thin air. He could feel it but wasnt able to grasp it. His face burned up, his tongue was dry and eyes wide and wet.
Instructor Shard snapped his gaze on him. Without hesitation, he punched Eijirou in the face and the boy fell to the floor. He shook a bit, brought his joined hands to his face in reflex. A tear and some blood rolled from his injured eye but he managed not to wince in pain. His skin was hot and the veines were throbbing.
The man seemed to calm down a bit. He adjusted his collar, rubbed his knuckles and walked away like nothing happened, scarlet stains on his hands.
Shard said a few more words from his speech but Kirishima couldn't hear any of it. He was shaken to the bones.
He had to blink a few times, blood burning his right eye. He chased it with his thumb and looked at the boy on the floor next to him.
He killed him... He killed him. The voice in his mind played this chorus on loop. But pale fingers, constallated with dark red dripplets, started moving and very slowly, the blond lifted from the ground.
Sudden relief lifted Kirishima's heart. He was far from happy, of course, but the guy was alive and conscious.
They were close enough for him to notice blood dripping from his comrade's jaw under the muzzle. The red head wanted to say something but he realised the world spun a bit too much and keeping in breakfast inside was already challenging. He gulped it down and watched.
Bakugou was in a bad shape. He couldn't stand up right now. Wrist and ankles tied together weren't helping him get up. He had rarely take a worse beating. He manage to pull his head up and met crimson eyes, one barely open because of a swelling eye-lid.
Somehow, the red-head was on the ground, a mix of emotions were on display on the softly tanned face: fear, shock and pain. Maybe something else? Comisery.
I don't need your pity he thought. Bakugou turned his back to the boy. He couldn't stand the look in his eyes.
Two guard quickly came to pick up the teens and set them on their feet.
Instructor Shard had left and was replaced by another man in uniform. Square jaw, black hair, he had a kind face. His uniform was slightly different, he didn't have the military grades on the shoulders and heart. "My name is Tensei Iida. I'm your chief supervisor. I will guide you through the facilities." He had a straight posture and seemed eager to be as professional as he could be. Nevertheless, he avoided to look at the injured kids.
The young inmates were aligned and led into the building. They went through many doors, many corridors and took several turns into the beast's entrails. They reached a large room. It was the cafeteria. Big tables were aligned, plastic chairs set around them. Behind the counter was a pair of metallic swing doors leading to the kitchen. From the sounds and the smells, someone was preparing food.
Kirishima kept a discreet eye on Bakugou who was pretending not to limp. He needs a doctor... Why, are they not sending him to a nurse or something ? He thought.
Supervisor Iida informed : "Breakfast is served between seven and eight. Lunch between Noon and one, Diner between six - and seven. Food will not be served between this schedules. Please, follow me."
They went back to the corridor and stopped to what seemed to be a window in the wall, but the blind was closed. "This is the shop. You can find various items including food. The clothes and school supplies you will recieve will not be replaced. If you need more, you'll get it with your own money. Some of you might
recieve money from their families. Still, all of you are expected to apply for a job in the facility. It is paid, of course. The money is all computerised, so you will not be carrying cash around you. Keep in line let's move! " .
They kept going through the corridor.
Two officers standing in front of a door similar to the one in the entrance nodded to the supervisor and held the door open.
The group arrived in another court. This was much larger and, of course, circled by walls of wire. After the fences were meters of dirt, and then the forest. There was a running track around the court. In a corner, two basketball hoops created a small playground. Here and there were picnic benches and tables.
"The field is accessible all day, before curfew of course. This is a priviledge and can be revoked. The building at the end is the school. You will start attending tomorrow." Kirishima noticed the man was acting and talking in a robot-like manner.
The turned around, through the corridor again and turned into a staircase. The group stopped on the first floor and entered a small room with a hot drink machine, a fridge, a few couches and chairs. All the kids were surprised to discover such an appealing place after everything they'd been through.
"This is class A's' salon. You will have access only between three, after school, and ten, before curfew. This is also a privilege that will be taken away if you do not comply. You can get tokens for the coffee machine at the shop".
They kept going up the stairs and the girls were separated from the boys on second floor.
On third floor, three rooms of four beds were distributed.
Supervisor Iida expected them in the cafeteria in twenty minutes.
The clocks were the ones in the dorm's corridor, High up on the hall and guarded by more wire.
Kirishima ended up in room 34. His name was written on a white tag on the left-hand top bunk bed. He was followed in the room by the tall skiny black hair boy, the golden hair guy from the bus and... and the crary bastard that got himself beaten up.
The four boys stared at each other for a few seconds. Bakugou growled and plopped himself on his bottom half bunk-bed. Bruises were showing up on his arms and his face, dry blood on the corner of his mouth.
"Well, we're roomies then" Kirishima broke the silence. His smile turned in a pained grin as his cheek pulled up. "I'm Kirishima Eijirou, by the way."
The gold-blond boy smiled kindly and held out his hand "Kaminari Denki". Eijirou shook his hand before the other boy did the same
"Sero Hanta. How 's you eye, dude?" The red-head rubbed the nape of his neck
"Ah, it will be fine".
They all looked at the ash-blond on the bed that weren't paying them any attention. Once again, Kirishima spoke up.
"Hey, how do you feel? What's your name?" He tried to be as nice as he could, using extra caution.
"Tch. I'm fine" Bakugou answered, keeping bis eyes closed.
"Hey, dude! At least give him your name, he took a punch in the face for you!" Kaminari protested.
"Then he's an idiot!" Bakugou snapped, sitting up, glaring in anger.
Sero and Kaminari gave each a concerned eye but Kirishima looked at the other boy with curiosity.
Under the three gazes, he finaly grunted. "Bakugou Katsuki".
A small painful smile cracked Eijirou's lips. "Nice to meet you, Bakugou". The boy looked up, slightly surprised, mostly pissed off.
"Stupid shit-heads." He laid back on his covers, facing the wall.
The room was like the rest of the building asspepticised. The bunk-beds on each side were made of a metal skeleton, thin matresses covered in boiled white sheets and burnt orange low-quality blankets.
In the small room, there was just enough space for the four boys to stand between the beds. Towards the back of the room behind the bunk-bed were two lockers on each side, also white name tags on them appointing one to each resident.
Neatly folded inside were five fresh set of t-shirts, overalls and underwear, names embroided on each piece of clothing. A plastic toiletries kit and a small shoulder bag that contained virgin notebook and round shape pens completed the provided items.
On the four shelves in total, the two in the middle were packed. bottom and top free for more items but that was all the kids possessed in the world.
At the back of the room was a door leading to a bathroom. There was enough space for a curtain shower in one corner, a seat-less metallic toilet in another and an inox sink in the third. There was a sticker alluminium mirror. Maybe two people, tops, could use the bathroom at the same time. Hygiene would ask for planning.
Sero opened the door to give a look at the clock on the corridor's wall. "Let's go guys, or we'll be late!" He and Kaminari left and Kirishima was about to follow them but stopped at the door to look at Bakugou who, with cautious movement, stood up. The boy was hidding in pain.
" You good? "he asked.
"I'm fine!" Bakugou growled, pissed-off.
Class A was gathered in the cafeteria. The early arrivers had sat on chairs. They were under some guards' surveillance.
Supervisor Iida entered and silence fell. He counted the teenagers. As no one was missing he started "You will get a medical routine test. Some of you already informed the institute about conditions and medications. Our head nurse Kai Chisaki will check with you that no important informations are missing from your file. Alright, let's move, class".
The pack of teens followed the man to the staircase but this time they went one floor down. At the end of a corridor that seemed to be leading to maintenance and boiler rooms, was the sick-ward.
It was composed of a waiting room, white with plastic benches and a fake plant in a corner, nothing more. Behind a door was the actual infirmary. Another basic white basement, three beds aligned on each side, with nothing but pristine sheets. The beds could be separated by curtains.
At the back of the room were chromed furniture with medical supplies and next to the door was a wooden desk.
A computer, pens and files were perfectly aligned on the desk, not one loose paper or rubber band, not even a coffee mug.
"You will enter six by six. The others will wait here in silence and calm." Supervisor Iida said and checked a sheet of paper with the student's names and picture.
"Kirishima, Bakugou and Tokoyami will go first because of their injuries. With them, Aoyama, Ashido and Asui. Next group will be Uraraka, Kaminari, Sato, Shinsou, Shoji and Jiro. Sero, Mineta, Ojiro and Hagakure is third group'' He watched as the teens who had to wait took seats on the bench or settled on the floor.
"First group, please enter" he held the door open.
Kai Chisaki was young for a head nurse, Kirishima thought. The man had yellow eyes, short hair and the bottom half of his face hidden behind a mask. He greeted the kids with a distracted nod as he organised files on his desk.
Four young people in blouse with masks and gloves welcomed the group and guided each one to a bed. Eijirou didnt know they were medical students called to help with the annual visit and wouldnt be seen again.
The procedure was to first check information from the file. Name, birth day and place, antecedents, etc...
They weighed and measured the resident before doing a quick check-up of blood pressure, heart beat and reflexes.
However, Tokoyami, Kirishima and Bakugou needed more attention and the chief nurse himself checked them up. He declared Fumikage had benign bruisse and left him in the hands of one of his student. He went to Kirishima's cubicle, gave the file a quick eye and sat on the stool next to the bed.
"Well, that's not pretty." Chisaki grabbed the red-head's chin with a gloved hand and made him turn his face. "It will leave a scar but the eye won't be damaged."
The man opened a draw a pulled out a tube and a cutip before applying little dabs of pomade to the swelled skins.
The nurse was leaning close, carefully applying the balm, but his eyes kept going from the actual injury to other features of the boy s body.
Kirishima greeted his teeth. Something about the guy sent chills down his spine. The looks he gave him, of course, but he was also too close for his liking. He realised his nose also picked up on an unusual thing : the man smelled exactly like the room, no perfum, body soap or sweat, just antiseptic.
Chisaki examined his work, holding the teen's chin in a firm grip. He made him turn his face and gazed right into his eyes with deep, intense, yellow eyes. The fingers lingered of the cheek before letting go.
"Alright. Get in underwear."
"What?" Eijiro gulped.
"Weight and measurements." The nurse simply answered, changing his gloves and putting supplies in their place.
Kirishima complied reluctantly and undressed, laying his overall and shirt on the bed. He had his back turn to the man but he could feel his eyes all over him. It might have been his imagination but he hated it.
As asked he stepped on the scale and Chisaki took note of the weight.
"Good boy, sit on the bed now." The man pulled out a measuring tape.
It send shivers of disgust down Kirishima's spine. He couldn't see the smile on the nurse's face but he knew the guy was enjoying himself.
Despite his instincts, Eijirou obeyed without a word of protest, hoping it would be the end of it. Chief nurse leaned onto him, circling his arms around the teen's torso, applying cold hand and tape to the tanned skin. "You're quite muscular for you age". The man whispered. Kirishima froze, not sure of what he heard. The tone was honeyed and the eyes glimmering.
Pulling the tape tighter and lower on the red-head's body, the nurse slid his hand to the underwear's waist band. "I could fix your eye you know? If you want it, if you're a good boy..."
Eijirou shivered in disgust, shut his eyes tight. What the fuck...? It couldnt be happening, not to him. Dont freeze like that, be brave... !
He managed to inhale and gather courage.
A finger slid under the elastic waist-band. The teen jolted and grabbed both the nurse's wrists, pushing him away. Be brave !
Fear and determination alternated in the teen's good eye. Chisaki answered with an amused gase. He was about to reply but the curtain behind Eijirou slid open in a sudden whoosh.
An angry voice called "Oi, chief nurse are you gonna help my beaten ass? I'm sick of waiting!"
Bakugou's voice snapped Kirishima back to earth. He was relieved and it felt wierd to associate such an agressive husky voice to salvation. He couldn't help a discreet, eased, sigh.
"Sure" Chisaki's voice was pleased. He walked to the blond's bed and gave Eijirou a side eye full of sickening lust before attending Bakugou's injuries.
Kirishima quickly got dressed and decided to wait on the bed, keeping the curtain open as the ash-blond was being taken care of.
He couldnt look at the chief nurse but found enough courage to stay put. He would not abandon Bakugou into the creep's hands. He could still feel the cold unwanted touch, hear the sickening "good boy". It all played in loop in his head. But he stayed put.
After Bakugou was patched up, covered with band-aids and pomade the group left the room in a line.
As they crossed the group coming in, Kirishima grabbed Kaminari's forearm and gazed right into the blond's eyes "Don't let the chief nurse close the curtains." He whispered, his voice full of severity.
Denki understood and could only give a startled face in response, mouth half open.
"Quiet!" warned Supervisor Iida who didnt hear but only saw Kirishima warning his friend.
Dinner time rang. The newcomers hadn't eat since the morning and were starving.
They stood in line at the cafeteria to get food and settled at tables with their trays. It was surprising to discover that older inmates were working behind the counter serving food. It seemed to be one of the jobs one could get around the institute.
Kaminari, Sero and Kirishima stuck together in silence. None of them felt like chatting. They gave a quick look at available seats and Eijirou spotted Bakugou at an empty table. "Here" he said moving towards it.
"You're sure?" Denki questioned in concern.
"Yeah, he's not really the friendly type..." Sero added, to witch Kirishima shrugged and went to settle the tray on the table. The two other boys sighed but followed.
Bakugou gave them an angry glare, wich seemed to be his default mode, but kept eating the tasteless puree.
"So what happened back there?" Kaminari. asked Eijirou with concern. His friend stayed silent, evaluating his unappetizing plate. He answered with a shrugg and shook his head. Denki wasn't an idiot - well, he was - but he wasn't naive and grew up in a nasty neighborhood. He didn't ask more, able to guess.
"This place is really shifty " Sero said. "At least there are cute girls in our class!" he smiled, trying to cheer up everyone with frivolous chat.
"Ooh yeah have you seen pinky? "Denki happily picked up, waving his fork around.
"You guys can fuck off." Bakugou growled, puttin a quick end to the chatter "I'm not here to make friends. Go organise your pyjama party at another table."
"Wow! Why're you so mean dude?" The gold-blond cried.
"I'm not your dude and I can't stand your fucking face! Move!" He threatened and seemed about to jump the other boy.
" 'Kay, I'm out!" Kaminari answered with a smirk. Pissed-off, he took his tray and walked away. Sero followed him without hesitation.
Kirishima looked at Bakugou in disapproval.
"What, shitty-hair?!" The red-head's face switched to curiosity wich surprised the explosive boy.
"You're so... aggressive all the time." He shrugged. "Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for... for earlier."
He set his fork on the tray and gave Bakugou a puzzled glance. "I guess I leave you alone, now."
He stood up and left to join his friends.
Bakugou was startled and hid it behind his usual bitch-face. Someone thanking him was new. And super wierd to him. He didnt know the way to react on it.
"What's wrong with this guy? " Denki complained in a wince.
"Don't ask me" Sero answered it a very casual way. It seemed not much could move him.
They gave Kirishima a curious look, expectation on their faces. He looked up from his yogurt and was surprised they turn to him for an answer "What? I don't care."
"Huh- Sure!' Hanta sneered
"It's true:" Eijirou answered, confuse as why it would look otherwise. "He's just the way he is."
"That's it? That's your answer? "Kaminari blinked in awe. "Like, you don't mind his bullshit altitude?"
"What? No. I... I don't know I don't really think anything of it. And he helped me out back there so..." he shrugged.
He didnt have much time to give any thoughts on Bakugou's behavior. He was agressive, but that couldnt be all there was to him.
Sero and Kaminari observed their new friend in silence as he finished his meal. Kirishima seemed like the basic dude you would meet anywhere but it turned out he seemed much more complex.
"Hey, guys, let's check out the Salon! The room is boring to death." Sero suggested as they climbed the stairs. The two other boys agreed and followed him.
Four of the five girls in the class were there, chatting on the sofa.
The boys stopped at the door, not sure what to do, stupid smiles on their faces. The girls noticed and giggled at them.
"Come in, guys! "greeted the pink girl with a big smile. Ashido Mina.
Sero and Kaminari sat on the cushions layed on the floor, closer to their feminine comrades, Kirishima slouched on the second sofa, half lying half sitting.
The small brunette with big round eyes looked at them intensly before realisation hit her face. "Ah, I know! Ketchup, mustard and soy-sauce!"
Everyone was startled by this sudden eureka. for a second but they exploded in laughter, the boys pointing fingers at each other.
They exchanged names and jokes, giggles and cheers filled the room. The girls were Ashido, full of energy and mischief. Jiro, calm but wicked. Uraraka was sweet and liked silly harmless jokes. Asui seemed cold serious at first but turned warm and fun.
The door slid open and when the group saw who was the newcomer they all went quiet.
Bakugou looked at them and "tch'ed" to their silence. He walked to the bookshelf and chose some sort of sci-fi novel.
The other teens kept looking at him in some sort of expectation. Except Kirishima who seemed genuinly curious about the boy's choice of reading.
Their eyes met and Eijirou swang his legs off the sofa, freeing the spot for Bakugou who actually sat and started reading.
It's Asui who broke the silence "Bakugou, right? How are your injuries?" She asked with her simple and flat tone.
"Checked and fine" he grunted, pissed-off.
"The chief-nurse is super wierd!" Sero shivered. "I hope he wasn't creepy with you girls!"
Ashido sighed and shrugged. "Yeah, we should be careful around that wierdo! It's not like the guards would help us."
"Really ? Supervisor Iida seems décent." Asui noted.
"Oh, sweety... I'm here because of a guy who tried to finger me on the train to school. Burned his face with acid. But the guy was the police chief inspector's son so it was his word against mine. And here I am!"
Ashido shook her head in dispair, anger in her eyes as she told her story.
"I 'm... I'm so sorry... "Jiro said putting her hand on a pink one.
"I regret nothing!" Mina grinned. "What about you? Why you here?"
The purple hair girl blushes and looked away. "It's silly. Illegal rave party".
"Woah"" Kaminari cheered "You're so cool !" True admiration glimmered in the golden eyes, causing the girl to blush more and chuckle.
The boy sighed, "My story is really stupid. I got caught in a bank robbery."
Surprised exclamations came from the group, asking how, why, when.
"Well... I'm from a bad neighborhood okay? And, uh, I wanted money and I knew older guys who were... Let's say they were crafty when it came to big money. So, I can produce electricity" a small electric ark sparkled in his palm to illustrate the story. "And they asked me to shut down the alarm system from the outside. And, well, we got an asses kicked by a pro hero. I'm only here because I'm underage." He sighed heavily.
"And now I'm broke and fucked."
There were nods of approval, it was a stupid idea, indeed. But Uraraka disagreed.
"I get it" she said. "It's really tough to need money."
She looked at her feet, sad and shameful. "My parents always struggled with their business so when my father had a car crash... It just got worse with the bills and all so I started stealing stuff. I told them I had a small job and all but I was basically selling stolen goods. Until I got caught... I should have known better. My parents were devastated."
Suddenly, all the girls crushed into the brunette for a huge hug.
"You did what you could, Uraraka". Asui stated. Her cold blood way of talking was reassuring. In her voice, she didnt give an opinion she was stated facts.
"Really?" Ochaco smiled softly. "What did you have to do?"
"Some boys were bullying me at school. It is not easy to have a mutation quirk you know. I got angry and wanted to scare one of them so I held him in the air at the second floor with my tongue. But I dropped him when his friend pushed me."
"Seriously?!" Kaminari cried, shocked by the girl's cool tone.
"His fine. He just broke a leg." she answered. She added she wasnt proud and explained some of the cruel jokes that were made about her. Some impling she was a freak and should have been given up at birth.
"That's really fucked up. These cunts don't know what it's like, to wish that to someone." Sero frowned. It was the first time that he seem to care about something and they all gave him full attention.
"I went from foster home to foster home. You're invisible, at best, and treated like shit at worse. Nobody really wants you. Sure, they want a kid and all, but like a cute puppy. The minute shit hints the carpet, they send you back." He clenched his fists on the cushion's fabric but slowly let go. The guy had a Olympic level of self control.
"I ran away. I managed my life for a year until police found me and sent me here. Just another shitty place for unwanted kids."
Silence fell on the room. Kaminari threw an arm around Sero's sholder and the girls were about to comfort him but he added with a smile. "It's okay. You just have to face things and move on, right?''.
"That.. That's talking like a man!" Kirishima's voice cracked up in admiration whiping of a small tear from his good eye. "So manly, bro...! " .
And everyone giggled ,except Bakugou of course, who gave all his attention to his book.
"What about you, Kirishima?" Ashido asked "You don't seem to be a thug!"
"Ah" Kirishima gave an embarrassed smile and rubbed the nape of his neck. "Well, you all talked so I guess I have to tell you..."
"The suspense is killing us, dude!" Kaminari winced.
"Alright, alright. Underground cage fights." Kirishima spilled.
This time everyone was shocked. None of them could imagine the red-head being the violent type.
"Wait, like chicken fights?" Denki asked confused. The tension deflated suddenly as they all cried in laughter.
"Damn, no! One on one fight, in a cage, for money and stuff. Like in the movies." Sero informed the blond, still, he gave an eye at Kirishima for confirmation.
"Yeah exactly" the guy nodded with another embarassed smile.
"How did you end up in such a place ?" Jiro asked, truely amazed.
"Like rave parties a super common !" He chuckled. "Let's say that if you have to fight, you do it like a man." He clenched his fists and flexed his arm in determination. "So I chose my battles."
More chatter fused and a deep voice finally raised up, cutting it all out.
"So you fucker are an underground cage fighter but got K-O-ed by one sucker punch?" Bakugou had an condescent smile, looking from his book.
"Yeah, well, I didnt get K-O. And my quirk makes fighting a lot easier'' Kirishima answered, shameless and untouched by the implied insult. He looked at his fist, then looked at the ash-blond.
The two sets of ruby eyes were intensly evaluating each other, electricity building between them.
Something moved under Eijirou's face crawling from his jaw to forehead, pushing the tanned skin outward and the boy's features turned to sharp obsidienne-like rock.
Surprise and curiosity played on Bakugou's face and was quickly disguised under his usual frown. But Kirishima had seen it and gave a wide proud grin, showing sharp pointy teeth.
His face had completely change, the features were the same but the vibe was chilling. Bakugou found it thrilling.
"I can be a tough mother-fucker." The red-head said with pride.
Katsuki grinned in return, mischief in the eyes. "Oh..." he held his hand up, small explosions cracking in his palm. "I almost killed four mother-fuckers who thought theye were tough. Careful what you say."
The two teenagers grinned at each other with defiance and the rest of the group got scared they might jump at each other's throats. Ashido and Kaminari interrupted with more frivolous subjects.
Kirishima joined the chatter and at some point, Bakugou put the book back on the shelf and left.
It had been an incredibly long day, one he would never forget. He saw for the first time the shitty-place that would be his new shitty home, he got his ass royally served on day one and for the first time in his life, he met people who would later be his friends. He simply didnt know it yet.
