Hello again!

I am back with another chapter but please remember that I am currently also writing FanFictions for One Piece and The Hobbit, so updates for this particular story will be a few months apart. Please be patient with me as I try to balance not only these three stories, but also my work and personal life. :)

As I stated in the prologue, I am taking the creative liberty of changing most of the character's ages and birth years so that they fit better with how I want my story to play out. I know it is quite a big change for those who are very familiar with their current ages in the anime and manga, but I felt like I needed to change them in order to have Alessia close in age with the older characters as well as the younger ones. I also wanted Nile a little older so that Alessia could be old enough to be an adult, but also young enough to fit in as his daughter. Looking below, I have it set up first by their name, their birth year, and then it shows what age they were during the first year of 104th Cadet Corps before then showing what age they will be upon the 104th graduating. I hope this is easy to follow and understand. :)

BIRTH YEARS: (847 – 850 was the 104thCadet Corp)

Alessia Dok (829) / 18 and then 21

Levi Ackerman (823) / 24 and then 27

Hange Zoe (820) / 27 and then 30

Erwin Smith, Miche Zacharius(816) / 31 and then 34

Nile Dok (812) / 35 and then 38

Eren, Mikasa, Jean, Connie, Historia (Christa), Armin (832) / 15 and then 18

Annie, Marco, Sasha (831) / 16 and then 19

Reiner, Bertolt, Ymir (830) / 17 and then 20

Let me also remind you all that this is an "M" rated fic, so it will include swear words, violence, gore, trauma, torture and eventually smut. If that is not something you are comfortable reading then this is not the fic for you.

"Absolutely not."

Alessia crossed her arms and glared across the desk at Nile Dok, the current Commander of the Military Police as well as her father. "But why?"

Nile sighed as he ran his hands through his thin black hair. "How many times must we go through this Ally? I do not want you to have any part of this life. The life of a soldier is not only hard, but it is mentally and physically draining. There is a good reason why only about ten percent of the whole corps is female."

The emerald eyed woman sitting across from him growled. "And how many times must I tell you that I don't care about all of that? I have been wanting to be a soldier ever since Shiganshina fell almost two years ago, and you know that. You weren't there Dad; it was so horrible watching all of those people run for their lives only to be snatched up and eaten by those abominations or crushed under the rubble thrown by the Armored and Colossal Titans. How anyone could witness such a tragic event and NOT want to enlist must be blind, stupid or just a coward."

"We already had this discussion back then when you were sixteen Ally; I will not allow you to throw your life away as so many others have."

Alessia uncrossed her arms and leaned forward in the chair with a smirk. "Well, then I guess it is a good thing I have officially turned eighteen and don't need your permission anymore Father."

Nile's eyes immediately widened and his jaw clenched with barely restrained anger. "Don't you dare threaten me young lady. You still live under my roof and therefore you will continue to follow my rules."

Alessia sighed. "If I must move out to pursue my dream then I will do what needs to be done. You cannot stop me from doing what I think is right and you know it."

Alessia saw a flash of worry in her father's eyes at her words and she felt herself softening slightly. Leaning across the desk, she placed her hand on top of his and squeezed. "Dad, you know that I love you and Mom with all of my heart but you can't leave me locked up forever. You have never allowed me to have the life of a normal child and I understand that you did it to protect me. I was the only child of the Military Police Commander and I could have been used to harm your reputation within the corps, but I am not a little girl anymore. I have to be able to go out and live my own life."

Nile gathered both of his daughter's small hands in his own larger ones and bowed his head. "Ally, please don't do this. I am trying to protect you from things that you know nothing of. If I let you go to chase your dreams, you will be targeted for more than what you think."

Alessia frowned in confusion. "What are you talking about?"

When his eyes returned to hers she could see that he was frightened, his face now a couple shades paler. "I was hoping to never tell you about this, but if it helps me convince you to stay away from this life, then I have no other choice."

Alessia waited expectantly as Nile took a steadying breath.

"Do you remember anything significant happening to you when you were just a small child? Something that did not seem normal to you?"

Alessia's eyebrows furrowed as she tried to think back on those years of her life. "I am not sure what you are trying to get me to remember, but nothing stands out for me."

"Well, on the day you turned seven your mother was out at the market getting ingredients for your birthday cake and I was left to watch over you and prepare breakfast. I had gotten distracted by something you were trying to show me and accidentally sliced through one of fingers."

Alessia felt like a puzzle piece was clicked into place in her mind. "I think I do remember that. It was soon after that day that you and Mom started keeping me home and not allowing me to go out with all of the other neighborhood children. I remember asking you both what I did to make you punish me so harshly, but you never really gave me an answer."

Nile smiled weakly as he too thought back on the memory. "What I am about to tell you sounds really strange, but you were born with some sort of special healing ability. When I witnessed you use this power I was so frightened that I nearly fell out of my chair. When your mother came home that day, I told her about what had happened and unsurprisingly, she didn't believe me. I had to cut myself again purposely so that I could have you show her for yourself. Needless to say, your mother and I felt that it would be wise to keep you home and away from others so that no one would ever see you use it. We were terrified that the Royals or even the Wall Cultists would come after you and brand you as a demon and have you locked up, or even worse, killed to protect the public. They would not have listened to reason or seen that you were not a threat to them or other people."

The more her father talked, the more confused Alessia became. Pulling her hands away from his, she got to her feet and began to pace around the office. "What in the Walls are you talking about? None of this makes any sense to me."

Nile wrung his hands nervously. "When I had cut my finger, you happened to be sitting next to me at the table and witnessed the whole thing. You asked me if I could show you my hurt finger and wanting to satisfy your curiosity, I placed my hand on the table in front of you. The next thing I knew, you had placed your little hand over my cut and your whole appearance changed in an instant. The whites of your eyes turned blacker than pitch, dark veins erupted up your arms from your fingertips, and your hair started to whiten from the roots outward. I could barely recognize you in that state, so you can only imagine why I had the reaction I did."

Eyes as wide as saucers, Alessia just stared at her hands in horror. "How is such a power even possible? How many times have I used it?"

"Just the two I just mentioned. We forbade you from using it and we tried to keep you away from any situations that might have tempted you to use it."

"Could it have just been a freak occurrence? If I have not used it since I was a child, maybe I cannot even use it anymore?"

Breathing deeply, Nile opened the desk drawer in front of him and withdrew his letter opener, placing it on the desk in front of him. "The only way we will know for sure is if we test it."

Alessia watched wide-eyed as her father took the sharp blade and quickly made a slice through his left palm, causing blood to begin pouring from his palm and onto the desk in front of him. "Maybe I cut just a little too deep." Nile chuckled.

Quickly making her way over to him, Alessia took his bleeding hand in hers and gazed down at the wound. "I don't know what to do."

"Just try and concentrate on it. Maybe thinking hard enough will bring your power to life."

Taking a deep breath, she placed one palm tightly over his and waited. After a few seconds, she pulled her hand away and looked down. "Nothing happened."

Placing his right hand over hers, Nile squeezed her lightly, drawing her eyes to his. "Just concentrate Ally, I know you can do this."

Nodding, she proceeded to close her eyes and focus all of her thoughts on healing the wound on his palm. She tried to imagine what it would look like for the muscles to sew themselves back together underneath his skin. A sudden gasp from beside her had Alessia breaking from her trance and turning to look at him in worry. Nile's gaze was glued on their clasped hands. Shifting her gaze lower, Alessia released a small gasp when she saw that her hands had small black tendrils starting from her fingertips and traveling up her fingers, across the back of her hands, and branching up her forearms. Eyes widening, Alessia immediately dropped his hand and sprinted through the doorway to the attached bedroom, making her way into the bathroom at the back of the room. Gazing at herself in the mirror, Alessia felt her heart quicken at the sight of her reflection. Not only had her hands changed in response to her power, but she could see that the roots of her hair had discolored just slightly and the whites around her eyes had grown as black as night; exactly how her father had described.

"Impossible." Alessia whispered in disbelief. After studying her reflection for a few seconds, Alessia could see that the affects were starting to wear off and within a minute, she was back to normal. She quickly left the room and made her way back into the office, where her father was still waiting, gaze focused on his now completely healed hand.

"This is amazing Ally. My hand feels almost like new and the only proof that shows my hand had been injured at all is a small white scar."

Alessia was barely listening as she made her way over to the couch against the wall and collapsed onto her back. "This kind of power should be impossible. What is wrong with me?"

Nile got to his feet and came around the desk to kneel on the floor next to his distraught daughter. "Alessia, nothing is wrong with you. You are my daughter and I will always love you. This ability you have is something that I have been trying to find information on all these years, but the only thing I turned up is that it is connected to the Royals. I can almost guarantee that the Church or King have more information on this, but it will be impossible to get to it. That is why your mother and I hid you from the world and why I am imploring you to not go into the Military. If anyone were to find out about your power I have no idea what would happen to you."

Suddenly, Alessia shot up into a sitting position, excitement painting her facial features. "But all I have to do is not use it correct? As long as I don't heal anyone then no one will know."

Nile sighed. "That is something that I just don't want you to risk Ally. Please just listen to me."

Alessia wrapped her arms around her father and hugged him tightly. "I will just have to get a hold on controlling my power then. No matter what, I want to become a soldier. My dream has not changed just because of this small setback."

Nile released his hold on her and returned to his side of the desk, sitting down heavily in his chair. "If you must go against my wishes at least let me place you in my squad so that I can keep an eye on you."

Alessia shook her head adamantly. "You misunderstand me Father. I plan on signing up for the 104th Cadet Corps this summer."

Nile's face immediately fell in shock. "What are you talking about Ally? I thought you wanted to join the Military Police?"

Alessia returned to the chair in front of the desk and crossed one leg over the other. "I do want to the join alongside you, but I want to earn it. If you just weasel your daughter into the force no one will respect me and it will reflect harshly on you as well."

"I don't give a damn what it will look like for me Alessia, all that matters is that you will be safe and looked after. I was going to be lenient and allow you into the military as you asked, but this request is just too much. I cannot watch over you if you go to the camp."

Alessia sighed dramatically. "If I am going to do this, I am going to do it right. I am joining the Cadet Corps, and I will earn my way into the Military."

Looking into the fiery eyes of his daughter, Nile realized that no matter what he said, no matter how much he begged, he would not be able to change her mind; it was already made up. Sighing loudly, Nile straightened in his chair and eyed Alessia carefully. "If you are wanting to do this, then there will be some conditions that you must promise me you will meet."

Grinning widely, Alessia could barely contain her excitement as she leaned forward in the chair to give him her undivided attention. "I'll do anything!"

Raising his fist, Nile began to lift his fingers one by one as he gave his conditions. "First, you will write your mother and I weekly. You know just how sick she will be with worry and I am not in the mood to have her constantly asking me to check up on you. Second, when you are given your monthly leave you will come back home and visit, updating me on everything that is going on and how you are progressing with your training. Third, under NO circumstances are you to tell anyone of your power. This is to remain hidden for as long as possible, so you are forbidden from using it unless you have no other choice."

Thinking on his conditions carefully, Alessia nodded. "Those sound fair, but I would like to request a few things as well."

Nile waved his hand, inviting her to continue with her requests.

"If I am going to do this on my own, I do not want any kind of ties to you while I am in training. I will not register under our family name, and I do not want anyone to know that I am your daughter. I understand that the Commanders of all three regiments visit the trainees to gather intel, but you cannot treat me any different than the others or let on that you know me. Also, I think that it will be beneficial for me to get some kind of practice when it comes to my power. I understand that you do not want me to use it, but I would still like to be able to know what my limits are and what I can expect whenever I use it. Camp does not begin for another couple months, so I think I should start getting to know my limits and what changes my body undergoes while healing as well as the aftereffects of healing for both parties."

Nile nodded along to all of her points. "Agreed. However, like I said, you are banned from using this power unless it is absolutely necessary."

Nodding quickly, Alessia jumped to her feet and smothered her father in a hug. "Thank you! I promise I will make you proud and earn my way into the Military alongside you!"

Nile smiled. "I am already so very proud of you Ally. Now, run on home and inform your mother that I will be home a little early tonight as we have much to discuss, but do not say a word about this matter until I am home. She will already have my balls for allowing you into the Military, let alone the Cadet Corps."

Giggling, Alessia pulled away and practically skipped out the door, quietly closing it behind her.

The man behind the desk sighed heavily and stood from his desk before making his way over to the large bay window and looking down at the bustling street.

"Just what kind of trouble have you gotten me into now Alessia? I'm surprised that I still question why my hair is already greying."
